Love this location. My friend and I had a lovely brunch. We ate outdoors, and the food and drinks were great. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Its also dog-friendly. We will definitely be coming here more often!
Ive eaten there a few times and the food was constantly good. The arugula salad is simple but delicious. The grilled branzino with spinach and mashed potatoes is tasty and satisfying. The space is decent but could get pretty loud if close to full capacity.I would return there again.
Love the Shrimp Tower with chopped mango and avocado beautifully presented. Very creative food with interesting authorizing combinations!! Great neighborhood restaurant with a terrific singer on Friday and Saturday early evenings! Fun bar! Nice company!
Great restaurant week deal - 3 courses for $45. Highlights were the perfectly fudgey brownie & ice cream & the Ragu. While a unique idea, crispy tortellinis were dry & not flavorful.
Lovely neighborhood spot. Our server was so attentive and kind. The food was amazing! The peach Melba was best dessert I’ve had and prices were reasonable.
I loved the food at this place, it is so underrated. The atmosphere was great and the whole layout was perfect for a sunny brunch. Very affordable lunch and dinner set menu. Their crab cakes and truffle risotto were delicious. Paired with bubbly Bellini~~ love their freshly baked fluffy Madeline’s too~
My date and I were there last night for New Year’s Eve. I had the branzino and it was delicious! We came just in time to be dazzled by the classy singer who was simply wonderful. She took requests and added so much to the ambience and it made our New Year’s Eve!The balloons were a classy touch. We look forward to coming back.
First of all, the ambiance was great, and it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a decently-priced restaurant that offered coat check. I appreciated it a lot. The restaurant itself is beautiful. My passionfruit martini was good, and I normally would not choose a vodka-based cocktail. I care about food waste, so I liked that a serving of bread was offered to each guest rather than being given a full bread basket for the table. My table of 3 ordered the crab cake, lobster linguini, chicken francese, and jambalaya. Everyone thought their dishes were great - my dad has roots in New Orleans and anticipated the jambalaya being below par but was so happy that it was full of flavor and done right. The portion sizes of the meals were done right as well. I dislike going to restaurants that serve 2 portions of food because I’m either leaving too full, with a take out box, or wasting food. I felt satisfied at the end of my entree, and 95% of the dish was eaten. The prices were reasonable as well. I was happy to pay for what we received, and I would become a regular here because of the price range for the overall quality of everything. For dessert, we ordered the peach Melba, cookie skillet, and assorted ice cream. All were great in terms of quality and serving size. Finally, I appreciated the service! One of my biggest pet peeves when dining is how often the server is at the table asking how things are going. Sometimes they ask how the food is before a bite is taken. Our server was attentive and helpful without hovering and interrupting our conversations every few minutes. I’m rating the food and service as a 4 because I want to rate the atmosphere higher since that was the piece that tied the experience together and made it feel comfortable, yet luxurious, which I’ve found is a hard balance for places to strike. It’s often either too casual or too stiff, and honestly it was a shame that so many customers preferred to have their jackets hanging off the backs of their chairs with a coat check right there!
This place was amazing. We thought the GM was the owner because of how he treated the place. He was on top of everything and really appeared to care. The food was outstanding also. We would definitely come back. Outdoor seating was the best people watching and building looking.
Incredible time here to welcome the new year! Thanks for the hospitality and delicious food and drinks. Live music too!
Very nice service, good food. Warm bread and butter served before the meal.
Great place to take a date or have a casual meal. The food is good and its fairly priced. The waiters are fast and friendly. Arguably one of the better restaurants in the Sutton Place Area. I highly recommend trying their Eggs Benedict for brunch or the Steak Frites for dinner.
I couldnt wait to get to the restaurant to try their menu! The four cheese ravioli were amazing, but the brussel sprouts leave really set it over the top. I wish I had an entire plate of that! The banana bread old fashioned was to die for! I will definitely be back
We visited with dear friends on Thanksgiving Day, expecting a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Previous visits have been very good. Our friends traveled from the West side to join us, not easy due to the TGDay parade and many blocked streets. The meal came and looked unappetizing. However, we would ignore hash like appearance and eat. It was terrible. The turkey ( dark meat) very small amount of turkey in a few cubes. Mixed with Brussels sprouts and who knows what. Unappetizing in appearance and taste. Few pieces of turkey was dry. Dessert pumpkin cheesecake was ok, but grainy, no one finished either main dish or dessert. Our friend ordered cappuccino and there was on,y milk no coffee in her drink. We will not ever frequent or visit this establishment again. We were embarrassed that our friends ( wife is disabled) came all the way to East side to join us. We all feel we never ate a Thanksgiving meal, something that we enjoy once a year. We feel deprived of the experience and food we were looking forward to eat. Never again.will we return.
It’s a quaint place, the staff are friendly and it’s pretty close to the UN. I had a three course meal, i didn’t hate it but the meal choices didn’t feel like the right ones for me. I would have preferred more spices and herbs in the food.
The filet mignon, onion soup and brownies were awesome. The tortellini werent as good as the rest but overall, very solid and reasonably priced. The four of us got dessert but I couldnt decide between the coconut cake or the brownie and the manager comped us the brownie! That was such a nice surprise.
Went here for brunch with my parents and brother. Most meals were pretty good. I felt a bit tricked with the dish I ordered though. It was written in the menu that I was ordering a fish filet with some vegetables under a french dish title (yellowfin tuna viçoise). Turned out it was pretty much just a salad with some pan seared tuna pieces. A 24 dollar dish that is hardly sufficient for a hungry adult. The burger my dad had was very good (I had a taste). The eggs and steak were good as well, but I think the steak could have been jucier. My dish is a good option for someone on a diet, which I actually need and therefore wasn’t that upset about it. Mimosa was fine but I am pretty sure they use pasteurized orange juice. The ambience and service were both fine. It’s not an expensive place, therefore overall a very decent value.
Whoever comes to New York needs to visit this restaurant! Amazing food and service! Truffle risotto and coconut shrimp were delicious but the service from Milica was priceless! She deserved all the tip she got!
We held a bridal shower (brunch) in the mezzanine space above the bar area. The space was PERFECT for 20-24 people (seated); private and intimate enough for our party. We so enjoyed decorating the space an hour prior, with plenty of space for seated games and pictures . The food was exquisite and service impeccable. We worked closely with Amy and Sandra on the planning and menu choices . The bride’s parents have dined there several times and love the food and atmosphere . Thanks to ALL the staff- our guests were equally pleased.
Went out to dinner here almost every night this week, tried the lobster once and had to come back! Overall, amazing place, attentive service and lovely atmosphere, even had live music. A must visit if in Manhattan.
Cute place with good service and average food. Might be better for dinner but is a simple and easy option for lunch and breakfast. I came here in the afternoon for lunch. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. They got us seats and menus immediately.I tried the salmon omlette - they only have a salmon frittata but they made it into an omlette for me. We also tried the crab cake which was all crab - really no fillers at all - which I appreciated. I think the quality and the ingredients are great but the food did feel like it was lacking a little in flavor and imagination. Again- still a really good solid spot for a simple meal. I liked my omlette a good deal though I did think it was heavier on the cheese than it needed to be (might be an American touch)The space itself is light bright and airy and you dont feel like youre cramped in. Might be covid protocols in place at this time as well.I would be back if Im in the area for a casual meal.
A dinner with personalityOk food in a nice setting
Coordinated and attended a work function here. We used the whole dining room, doing a dinner for about 35 people with drinks included. The ambience was good, and the staff were really accommodating to our many requests and questions. Overall, the dinner went really well, and all the food was really good. Would definitely go back on again.
We had top notch service and food. They were very accommodating. The filet mignon was grilled to perfection. The halibut was delicious. They had great drinks and desserts. It was easy to get a reservation. We are glad we found this place on Google maps. Definitely will be returning!
Service was fine and staff was friendly and accommodating. The prix fixe menu sounded appealing, but it was underwhelming. The first course was simple and tasty. I ordered the pepperadelle bolognese for the main course, and the pasta was flavorless while the bolognese was too salty. It also had the texture of pasta that had been plated a while ago and was just heated up and topped with sauce. The pepperadelle was stuck together in clumps in the dish and was not tossed in the sauce prior to plating. I chose the brownie and ice cream dessert, and the ice cream was tasty, but the brownie was too sweet. But I enjoyed the wine and their happy hour special was decent.
Always a great meal…from brunch to dinner! Great quiet selections! Pork chops! Salmon rigatoni w burattato & chicken Caesar salad!!!!
The owner and staff were wonderful and the food was excellent. I couldn’t have picked a better spot for dinner one of the few nights I was in the city. Hazelnut crusted halibut was 10/10
We reserved Copinettes Mezzanine for our parents anniversary dinner and the restaurant/staff were such wonderful hosts. The options for the prefix and drinks menus were flexible enough to satisfy everyone in the party. The portions were great and the food was delicious! We also had to move the date 2x due to unexpected circumstances and they were very, very accommodating. We will definitely go back to host other parties there, we had a great time!.Edit to add: We returned for dinner and as before, service and food were great. The menu is extremely affordable and the drinks were delicious.
The Copinette does it again! Such an exquisite dining experience. Just look at the photos they speak for themselves.
We had a great brunch here, the food was awesome, the lady that was taking care of us was so nice. After we were done eating we decided to share the French Toast and it was amazing.
I had high expectations however found a millipede in the mashed potatoes. I now have trust issues. I recommend the branzino if you want to try the very special mashed potatoes.
We liked this place so much we went twice. Often a mistake but in this case, a positive joy! Food was excellent, wine good, service unsurpassed. And we had a singer on the pavement visit 1 and a jazz band day 2.
There was hair in my food and the server acted like it was a burden to replace my food and didn’t say sorry once. When he came to give me my food he put the plate down and threw a fork on the table without making eye contact. And of course they didn’t take it off the bill
Very nice cozy restaurantGreat food, we ordered crab cake, truffle risotto and shrimp scampi. The tastes were spot on. However the orange juice we ordered was not so good. Also, unfortunately, my glasses went mystically missing there.A good experience overall.
Very delicious good food with great service. I enjoyed the halibut, crab cake and rack of lamb. They do pay special attention to food allergies upon request. Very good strong cocktails.
Amy was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of planning our event. She was quick to respond to my emails and very kind. The staff at the venue were amazing and extremely accommodating. I was initially nervous about the semi-private area being too loud to hear my guests, but it turned out to be perfect—not too loud at all. The food was also great. I would definitely recommend this venue to others and would book it again!
Nice little place. Average food and cozy atmosphere. Friendly service.
The perfect brunch experience. I had the croque monsieur and crab Benedict with truffle fries. All so good. Cocktails & wine rounded out the menu. The waitstaff was so lovely and pleasant I would def return.
We were initially impressed with the warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience took a turn when the food arrived. We found a hair on our fries before we even touched it, and when we informed our server, he simply apologized and took the plate. Few minutes later, the same burger was returned with probably just changed fries—though it wasnt clear whether they were replaced or just adjusted in the kitchen. Unfortunately, no further acknowledgment or apology was offered. When we mentioned it again to the waitress, she smiled and gave a quick apology, but the lack of a more thoughtful response left a sour note on what otherwise could have been a pleasant meal
Found Copinette by chance on OpenTable, and my family and I were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Very well priced for NYC standards, and our servers were attentive. I have been to Copinette twice now. The truffle risotto is great, and the chicken cordon bleu is good as well. My family got some meats and fish dishes, and they were all tasty. The desserts were also great. I suggest the cheesecake - you wont be disappointed!
So, it was a good brunch place but they clearly were short on the staff. They forgot our order and brought us the bill from the coffees that we previously had. After they apologized, they brought the food we ordered but my friends burger was burnt. The servers were polite, I cant blame them if the restaurant is short on staff...About the food: I ordered eggs benedict. They were good but barely had any hollandaise sauce.2 of my friends are not regular milk drinkers but the restaurant didnt had any other milks options. Thats something that they should review. Its important!.To me, this was a nice place for a brunch one time, but thats it.Average on the options. SNS. 🤷🏻♀️
So blessed to have found this wonderful spot in Midtown. I frequently travel from Brooklyn to Midtown Manhattan and I’m overjoyed to have found Copinette. We enjoyed chicken Caesar salad, a perfectly seasoned crabcake sandwich on a toasted brioche bun with fries and last, but not least a phenomenal strawberry ricotta cheesecake. Will most definitely return to try the dinner menu. Two big thumbs up.
Large group dinner, all was great.
We recently hosted a winemaker lunch for about 10 people at Copinette and I cannot say enough great things about Amy and her team. They made planning easy, set us up in a cozy spot in the back of the restaurant, and provided a delicious menu that perfectly paired with the wines. The staff is so attentive and everything worked out perfectly for the event. Wholly recommend for any event when you want a highly personalized experience
Big challenge: I had to host a donor-related business lunch for ten in mid-December in New York—and I was in London. Amy Bacic provided excellent, personal service in arranging this. I had once had a business dinner there for three, at the recommendation of an embassy, so I hoped it would be yummy at scale. It was excellent. Both times, we were treated warmly and well. Personal and professional. The food is excellent, reasonable, and non-cliche, including for vegetarians. This is a gem. Ridiculously close to UN for any diplomatic-related events. My whole team loved it.
Had an excellent outdoor dinner on a cold night, space heaters running on high!Only wish they had still kept up the large outdoor seating area (with walls to protect from the wind, etc) for outdoor winter dining
A new favorite spot!Excellent food, great service, friendly staffTried the blackened shrimp salad and the pan seared scallops and loved every bite. The cookie skillet is a show stopper! Will definitely be coming back
It’s a pleasant French restaurant with an excellent menu and really good servers. The prices are reasonable and the food is outstanding. So, why the 4 stars? It is so noisy that you really cannot have a conversation with your dining partner. Also. The wait for the food usually takes a while. Still, I like the place and recommend it.
Wonderful restaurant. My company hosted a large client dinner in one of the meeting spaces and everything was excellent: food, service, ambiance. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be coming here again.
Had a great time. Very friendly and accommodating staff with wonderful food and drinks.
Hosted a small work function at Copinette and our team was really happy with everything. The food was good, the space was nice but still casual which suited us and the service was great!! Would definitely return!
Cote du ventoux was good. Jazz on sunday evening was appreciated. The foie gras seared is worth the visit. Wine selection is rich and will satisfy amateurs.
Inconsistent at best. Was decent years ago.Nice that management reached out, but the truth is I first ate at Copinette for a victory celebration when Biden won the election 2020. The crab cakes were OK as I recall. I think I was happy with anything at that point. On my BD in 2021 I took home the dried out and tasteless salmon on the pretext of being full, and tossed it. The Lobster roll at this recent lunch was frozen, barely thawed, and stringy. The crab cakes brought to replace the lobster roll were watery mush. Maybe youd be better off having a smaller menu that your chef (s) can handle. Sorry to say I dont plan on returning.
We went here for brunch about a year ago. The wait service was awful. The waitress gave us menus, we ordered and then nothing. She finally came back to us after we had sat there for 20 minutes with nothing, and actually asked So how was everything? Yes, truly unbelievable. So a year later we decided to give it another try.A male was our server this time.He never asked if we wanted drinks first. And although we were right next to the wait station and he was there we had to call him over to order. Everyone there were just hanging out. Our waiter started to leave after we gave our food order but we had to tell him that we also wanted something to drink. He never asked. The food was good. Our waiter never came over to ask if everything was OK. When we were finished we asked for our check from a nice busboy & he took our check. Then the waiter took it from him. He didnt give us our change back. We had to ask for it. Is it customary for waiters to keep the customers change? No. I dont think so! He seemed surprised that we wanted it.His tip reflected the poor service. We wont be going back for a third trial.
Great place . Food was outstanding. Exceptional service. Can eat in or out. Highly recommend.
Lowkey a really good valentines dinner, $74 a person and the food was great, filet mignon and lobster risotto were amazing, portions were bigger than expected, service was BUENO, overall great vibes and experience.
The Turtle Bay Association celebrated Valentine Day with a 52 person dinner party. It was an excellent event.., excellent food drink and service. We are looking forward to our next event to be held there.Thank you, Copinette and Amy.
5 stars because my parents raved about the food long after we left. For reference, theyre from Connecticut and do not eat out much. My parents prefer healthy home-cooked foods. We came for lunch during the weekday at open (no reservation), by the time we were leaving the tables started to fill up. This place had seating in both indoors and out. The vibes were that of Midtown transitioning into the Upper East Side. Started to feel a little posh for a simpleton like myself. Roughly $25 a lunchtime plate. For starters we had the Grilled Octopus to split between 3 ppl. Could have been 4 but my mom doesnt do tentacles-- too bad because you get a whole tentacle roughly 9 inches long with different texture throughout. Seems crisper as it tapers down thin, but my dad did not give me a chance with the end piece. At least mom enjoyed the garnishing salad that came with it.Grilled Octopus-- 5 stars because it was joyfully shared! My mom had the Crab Cake Sandwich, which she raved about and fought herself to save the other half for my pops. I couldnt even take a picture because it had no chance. My pops had the Grilled Branzino which he liked even though he wasnt feeling fish recently. So this was a good sign.My partner had the Truffle Rissoto because it was made with truffle oil and rissoto is difficult to make. Note to self, homeboy appreciates difficulty. Nevertheless, the rissoto is a heavy meal for someone craving a warm comfort meal. I would pair it with a lighter appetizer, however. The mushrooms are a pleasant touch-- and as a mushroom lover, I wish there were more pieces in there. About 1.5 cups of risotto is served for the lunch meal, but again its a dense and savory meal.Last but not least-- my meal was the Cobb Salad which I picked on a whim because I was occupied with choosing for my parents. Hey it was on top of the list! Since Ive developed the condition called pregnancy I was sensitive to how the grilled chicken smelled and was not able to consume half the chicken served with it. Otherwise, it was okay. 3 stars because it was a basic blue cheese and grilled chicken salad, but the few slices of avocado involved made me happy.Would visit again. Service was good.
We had no reservation and were able to be seated immediately as we were just BARELY before the rush. We showed up on an evening with a MAGICAL French jazz band and the staff was wonderful when they made sure we knew the band was coming, where theyd be setting up, and that perhaps our original seating choice wasnt the best since the band would be a bit loud. The level of attention was amazing, the food exquisite, and the atmosphere was mesmerizing. I could have stayed and enjoyed all three for much longer had we not been with an angst 10 year old 😉
I was looking for a place for 8 people that didn’t require a set menu and found this restaurant. Everything we ordered was great. I loved the calamari and the goat cheese salad. The octopus was good too. I had the salmon which was made medium rare and came with lentils which was a great side. All the dessert we had were great.
We work at the United Nations and a few of us were here for lunch this afternoon.Half way through our meal we were suddenly mesmerized by an amazingly beautiful singing voice coming from the other end of the dining room.At first we all thought it was recorded house music. Evidently, there was party of ladies having a gathering and this singer was providing the music for them. We had to get up from eating and get closer to hear this fantastic singer. Just WOW!! The energy was amazing. Everyone having such a great time on a Wednesday afternoon!! What joy she brought. She said she is there weekends and today was an exception for that party. Wish she was there more often during lunchtime. (Liberty) really boosted our day. We hope to come back and catch it again.
Truffle risotto was perfect! A nice glass of Chianti while a friend ordered cocktails and port wines- both really good. We were seated outside but still felt really cared for!
Went there for brunch and was able to sit outside during a sunny day. Price was reasonable, especially for midtown, but ultimately the food was a little lackluster. The Mac and cheese starter was great, but the rest of the food felt underseasoned and underwhelming. The Benedict was actually perfectly executed - the yoke was perfect and the hollandaise held, but the lack of seasoning made the whole thing feel a little lackluster. The service was nice, the waitstaff was very accommodating, and the outdoor seating was lovely.
This place is beautiful and the service was decent but the food was so mediocre. I went here for Sunday brunch and ordered the eggs Benedict. I don’t need my bennys slathered in sauce but they could have been a bit more generous with the amount. I also like my Benny sauce with a bit more tang to it and this did not have that. I did not enjoy the potatoes at all. I wish they were a bit more crispy and the bell pepper flavor was overwhelming.
Beautiful and cozy atmosphere. Friendly personnel and good margaritas! Definitely a nice place to dinner, food is delicious.
Great Manhattan eatery. Midtown East, a little north (uptown for us NYers) of Grand Central/Madison. If you are on the hunt for understated elegance combined with culinary excellence, then this is your place. Great atmosphere and welcoming, attentive staff make the experience. All of the food was thoughtfully prepared and served, AND they happily accommodated my guest that cannot eat too much sodium.Steak was perfectly seasoned and prepared and the Bolognese was to die for, and I am a harsh Italian food critic. Thank you, Copinette! Looking forward to our return for some culinary jazz one of these upcoming Sundays.
We were a party of 12 for Sunday brunch. The service was superb! They were right on top of everything without being overbearing. Everything was perfect! Oh, and the food was really good, too! We enjoyed their Thai basil non-alcoholic cocktail, the various versions of eggs benedict, arugula pear salad....
Great service & food.
We went there for my mother in law birthday. The food were all so delicious. The service was excellent. The space design was very hip&chic. We will definitely go back there again. Next time I will take photos. This time I was too hungry and ate all those delicious food too fast before I would think of taking photos of them.
We organized a reunion of school friends here long distance and could not have been more happy with this occasion. The restaurant is so attractive and all the staff is lovely, while the menu is contemporary and interesting. The food was just delicious- salads beautiful, great bread with sandwiches, and nice wines. This is a place that cares about good ingredients. Some of our folks also had some of their perfectly gorgeous desserts . Prices were reasonable. If we lived here, we would be regulars!
Food, service and atmosphere were EXCELLENT!The owner is very friendly with customers, checks to make sure you had a good experience.
Amazing cocktails. Cheers to Marius. Try the Copinette Cosmo. That was just the start. Buratta salad was a perfect size and super yummy. Haddock was prepared perfectly and Pinot Noir by the glass was a perfect pairing. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience Copinette. It is my go to spot every time I visit the city. Worth the trip to 1st ave!!!
Had an ok meal here. Chose one of the restaurant week entrees. Turned out to be the smallest filet of branzino I’ve ever seen. I asked the server if that was the size of the normal entree and he said yes. He did have the manager stop by who then said it was a smaller portion. In any event, it was really small. The manager did then send over 2 comp’d glasses of Prosecco which was appreciated. But we spent $240 on dinner/drinks and left a bit hungry and underwhelmed so 3 stars.
The outdoor space is really good. The iced cappuccino, clearly a favorite among others, is really refreshing and delicious ( but no milk alternatives ). Our brunch was a little disappointing. The eggs were smelly ( probably didn’t use enough butter ), the pancakes tasted like something slightly better than what you would make from a store bought box. To top it off, there wasn’t even real maple syrup. I didn’t confirm it but definitely looked and tasted like golden syrup.Maybe their regular food menu lives up to its ratings.
I came here for brunch with my sister and father. Ive been one other time for dinner and brunch and both were great. But today, was a big disappointment. My father and I ordered the avocado toast and it came on a piece of thin rye bread that was soggy and unappetizing. Ive never seen avocado toast made on bread like this and the presentation was nothing to brag about. The actual food was good...not great and also took a long time to come out.The service was subpar. We were constantly looking for our waitress and when she would stop by for a second she would walk away just as fast (and we never were able to finish what we were asking for). The ambiance is beautiful but there are other restaurants in the area that take more pride in their food preparation and overall service. I will say the the hostess is amazing. Very friendly and classy.
We enjoyed a nice dinner here before flying out the next morning from LGA. The staff were very friendly and there are lots of food options. Our kids had no problem finding something to eat.
How is this for messed up. 3 people for Sunday brunch waited a looong time for any service. Then ordered eggs benedict, waffle and chicken and.bacon and eggs. Food comes out quickly but cold. Our lovrly waitress appeared to be the only one working as the bus staff stood around the water table. Good thing we had to go cross town in the rain to get there
One of the best brunch spots in NYC. Better than the Smith. this place is both upscale and no too pricey with great food.
I have to say. This is a perfect place for a casual brunch gathering with a couple of friends. Great relaxed feeling with wonderful food and great service. I highly recommend this place.
Fast service, great taste of food. Friendly staff always providing great customer service.
A great neighbourhood restaurant serving a nice combination of French bistro and a fee Italian and America dishes.Service is excellent and the room itself is classy and comfy at the same time. Brunch is low key and yummy and has all the usual stuff youd expect.Makes a good first date restaurant or a nice place to catch up with a friend. Really nice!
It’s way overpriced for mediocre quality and food preparation. Chef Ramsey would be extremely disappointed!! We went there for thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was cold and dry. When I mentioned it to them , they reheated and brought it back the plate was really hot and the food was the same COLD!! My daughters could not eat the Ribeye because it was dry and no flavor. The scallops tasted old and fishy. No management in site to address any concerns!!! Overly overpriced and poor food quality!!
It is really nice to know that some restaurants in NYC still have what it takes. After so many mediocre dining experiences around Manhattan since COVID, I had almost given up and resigned to this “new normal”. Here is a restaurant that has it together and it shows. Great food/ drinks/ service/everything. THANK YOU 🙏
Stumbled upon this place while on a girl’s night out. The outside decor immediately drew us to the door and must I say, I am very happy it did! The food and drinks were amazing. I ordered the scallops as an appetizer and the filet mignon for dinner. The portions were just as I expected. The service was amazing as well, we did not wait for our food very long and the waiter continuously checked in to see if we needed anything else. Overall a great experience, definitely would recommend, and will definitely be back!
Great spot for an Old Fashioned. Cozy with a touch of modern. Elegant. Another must on a list of many.
Amazing food, great staff and the best owner of all time
Great prix fixe lunch three courses - friendly attentive staff. Excellent food
Was there recently for Restaurant Week with a former Coworker.Sat outside and had the special menu.Burrata salad, Branzini with mash and vegetables. Shared the 2 choices for dessert. Cheesecake or Peaches with ice cream. Drinks and gratuity separate and not include in the $45 for dinner. Food and service excellent. Will definitely go back!
JUST OKAY. Brought a family member to Copinette for her birthday. Was attracted to this place based on location and outdoor seating. Appetizers, Cocktails and Deserts were good. Service was slow. Mains were bland and underwhelming for the price. Not sure how this place has over 4 stars.
We were looking for a place to rest and have dessert, and this place did not disappoint.
Quaint place for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. I saw a lot of elderly locals come which was nice. Inside gives a Havana style interior deco and there are plenty of outdoor seats. Food was good and their portions are big. I got their burger and the patty was thick. Overall a great place to talk, eat and drink Bellinis, strawberry mojitos and spicy margaritas.Recently went back and the food I ordered was not as described as by the waiter. So I reordered the shrimp and risotto and the risotto was not fully cooked and hard. The lycheetini cocktail was good.
They have a really nice outdoor seating set-up right now. Service and food was good. Portion sizes range depending on what you get, but the brunch items were all very large. Good selection of drinks!
I held a birthday brunch ar La Copinette for 19 friends- all of whom are foodies. The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding- a perfect event with a toast with the amazing Copinette Cosmo.
Very VERY good food. Prices were also very good & fair. The only downside was I went with a group of 4 on a 90° day. We opted to sit in the outdoor seating order but it was even HOTTER in there. I think they should try to put fans or something because we wanted to stay and order more but we all were sweating and extremely hot. Other than that highly recommend!!
Great lunch menu! Grilled branzino was excellent. Doesn’t make sense that adding a glass of wine to your lunch costs more than the same glass of wine ordered from the full menu though. Manager should pay attention to that. Also, host asked us to sit right next to the only table being occupied, trapped in a tight corner, while the rest of the salon was completely open. Waiter witnessed it and immediately said “please feel free to sit elsewhere if you’re not comfortable here” which was a great attitude.
I don’t understand all these good reviews! It took a long time for our order to be taken. We ordered the tuna tartare, lobster risotto, and pistachio crusted lamb. Extremely disappointed. Tuna tartare needed salt, was served with bread which were more like dry croutons, rack of lamb was completely anemic and tiny, missing pistachios, and lobster was extremely overcooked and risotto was just sorta mushy. Cocktails were good. But definitely NOT worth the price. I wish we had just ordered burgers.
This place is always full of neighborhood regulars, especially on Sundays for live jazz. Really delicious food -- lots of perfectly executed standards and a few stand-outs. After eating through the menu, now I usually try a special. Consistent, professional staff -- hard working, proud, gracious, truly happy to see you. Highly recommended.
Copinette is a cozy restaurant with friendly and professional staff. We ate family style, so everyone can have a bit of everything. For the most part, we enjoyed our meals. Arturo and Marius were great.Apps: Bacon Mac N Cheese (a little underwhelming for us), Potato Leak Soup (everyone liked this, but many liked the French Mushroom Soup more), Calamari (tasted basic), Tuna Tatare, Grilled Octopus. We finished all the apps!Entrees: Rack of Lamb (well liked), Steak Frites, Chilean Sea Bass, and Stuffed Salmon (Entree of the day was popular with us), Shrimp Scampi (mom didn’t like it), Truffle Risotto (my sister raved about this).Drinks: We ordered a lot of strawberry mojitos 🍸Desserts: I loved the Sorbet- raspberry, mango, coconut flavors, coconut cake (yummy too), chocolate mousse (most liked it), and cheesecake (I didn’t like it)
Coat check, bar, mezzanine dining for patrons in a large group, great food and fantastic and willing staff - all make this a top choice. The only thing Id change was the temp control, evergreen though we could see it was set to 66 degrees out felt like a furnace there with so many people. We were part of a large office group having our holiday dinner party at the restaurant. I had the pan roasted Salmon with mango bruschetta topping and the ricotto cheesecake with strawberry compote. Great stuff. 👍🏻
We went there for thanksgiving dinner and it was just ok. Giving it 3 starts because of how good desserts were and the ambiance.
Excellent and excellence ! Lobster Risotto, French Onion Soup and Warm Chocolate Brownie... delicious ! A must!
Had a lovely outdoor dinner with friends at Copinette, and the service was really great - all of the staff & team is very friendly. The food, drinks, and dessert were all very delicious, and presentation was beautiful. The restaurants ambiance is pleasant and welcoming, I highly recommend dining at Copinette.
Went here for lunch on Thursday and I really enjoyed my meal. The service was good and water was constantly refilled. The food was tasty and came relatively quickly. The portions are a reasonable size. Definitely coming back. Five stars.
Friendly service and a cool atmosphere here. The food and service time really left something to be desired though. It took a good 45 minutes to get our food, and the appetizers we ordered when we also ordered dinner didnt come out until they came with dinner. Some of the food was room temperature by the time it came out. It was strange too, since the place wasnt full and it seemed like there were enough people working. So really just not sure why things took so long. When we finally did get the food it was ok, but for the price ($25-40 per entree) it was disappointing to get such a small portion that wasnt even all warm. Overall, this place wasnt terrible but it wasnt great either, probably wont come back.
Wow. We were on a family trip to NYC, and my wife found this place. Absolutely incredible. Delicious food, great presentation, and wonderful staff and service. Highly recommend!
Great location & staff. Ill given them a 3 star for now just cause the brunch menu is just that, brunch menu. But their dinner menu looks great and looking forward coming back during the night. The space is clean & breaths well. Definitely a good choice near home.
We had a private party here and it was amazing. My managing partner raved that everyone went above and beyond. The food was fantastic and the service was stellar. Sandra was so helpful organizing everything.
Don’t really understand why this place blew up during quarantine. Food is average, at best. Most memorable item was the fries. Decent ambiance and service. Thinking they just took the business of Ethos and Pathos while they’re closed.
With my best supper friends...in the neighborhood, outdoor dining - set up is very well done. Have eaten at Copinette several times in the past, pleasant experience. This supper, was a little off. Ill chalk it up to co-vid dining...sadly, most restaurants have been compromised by the pandemic. The macaroni and cheese was terrific, portion was a bit small, even as an appetizer. Salads required more dressing. Tossed prior to being served - too dry. Bacon wrapped shrimp was a treat. Service a little off, again, circumstantial. Giving this restaurant 100% credit for there efforts! Thank you...
Ordered a Risotto with truffles... what they placed on my table was a tasteless rice puree, I could not even see the rice grains ir was like baby food. Also ordered for our table ravioli, there we of the same quality that any ravioli one can buy at the supermarket in a tasteless sauce. The only dish that was properly prepared was the Branzino. The waitress did not make an effort to explain the menu nor she went out of her way to be pleasant, although the was correct at all times. They gave us a piece of bread at the beginning and that was it, no more bread. My daughter ordered a Brownie w/a bit of ice cream, a very small piece for $ 10 ...also out of a supermarket box.Recommendation, spend your money somewhere else or at least in a place where they know how to cook
This place is sooo good. Their truffle fries are an explosion of flavors. The french onion soup was bomb too. Im literally drooling thinking about their food as Im writing this review. Staff is also great. Will definitely come back
I’ve ordered a crab cake burger and copinette burger, it took forever to be ready and be served.Such a disappointment on the taste. You can feel that the brioche bread has just been de frozen. And the “frozen” French fries were not tasty at all. Do not recommend
Don’t waste your money at this faux-gourmet establishment. My girlfriend’s eggs benedict was so overcooked that the yolks were entirely solidified (I haven’t even seen a cheap diner make that kind of rookie mistake) and the burger, while perfectly cooked, was under seasoned and served with obviously pre-frozen fries and bun. The kicker was the terrible service: no refills on our $4 mediocre coffee or water, nor did anyone come to give us the check when we were done. The high reviews must be due to the general tastelessness of the midtown crowd. I normally wouldn’t be caught dead brunching in midtown out of fear for exactly the kind of experience we ended up having.
Great food, great drinks, great service. Lamb chops were phenomenal along with the Oui Oui Champagne drink.
The plating of my filet has risen to new splendor but the mound of garlic mashed potatoes was not as high as past. Ordered medium but got medium well. I’ll trust it was a fluke and return again.
Very unique Indian cuisine. Well prepared. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend reservations.
I don’t usually give reviews but I had to in this case! Food was fantastic - salads, Risotto, mushroom Bolognese, Ravioli and everything. The service was fast and friendly and the owner was extremely nice and generous.Bottom line - fantastic experience and food!! Definitely a must go!I will definitely be coming back!
Staff was very friendly, sites were beautiful and the food was delicious.. i ate it before I thought of pics.. 🤣🤣 the crab cakes and bacon wrapped shrimp for appy. Pancakes and bacon for entree during brunch.. mimosa was delish also..
Copinette is a great neighborhood restaurant. Really good food at far prices. Lamb chops are great. Sunday night jazz too.
Amazing food and service
Delightful staff served us lunch outside among tiny potted trees along the outer building wall. The arugula salad was so fresh and not overly dressed with seemingly individually chosen perfectly formed walnuts, scattered bleu cheese, and pretty pear sticks. Have the offered bread. Its delicious fantastic! Crispy, crunchy, grainy but not gritty, and warm, so butter melted inside and made the best bite for our Tempranillo Rioja. At the current 35% capacity, tables get filled fast, so do reserve and enjoy the mild spring weather.
Total surprise: great service, great food, excellent prices. If you can get Arturo as your waiter then do so. Attentive, professional and he knows his wine. This new restaurant is worth the trip!
Restaurant was understaffed; service was slow and almost non-existent. I wasn’t even able to order a second drink. Our food was not good quality and my wife’s dish had to be replaced. I always try to be fair in my critique, but tonight was a fail. I do feel bad for the servers as they smiled and were polite even though they were considerable overworked.
Great service and extremely accommodating. The food was very delicious and would highly recommend going
Great restaurant with quality food and very attentive staff. Reasonable prices. Love the tuna nicoise.
This place has alot of potential but I think just missed the mark for us. Went for a late breakfast/brunch. Food was good not great. Bloody Mary was excellent. Itll do in a pinch for a spot when all the other (better) options are too crowded.
Ill start with the aproach, its very easy stop from the street, and you can tell right away it looks like a nice spot. As you come in your greated by a friendly staff member who sits you down. The experiance started right there! We were asked if we want to sit by the jazz players and see them or if we wanted something a bit more quiter. We chose to sit by the jazz players and were advised where to sit for 3 diffrent experiances. One was all about the jazz music, upclose and personel. The other gave us a great view and listening experiance but was just far enough to still cary a conversation. Considering it was just us 4, we figured we would choose this option. Had a great view. Heard everything clearly and still had great conversations. The food. Nothing short of spactular. Chose thier specials menu after hearing it, and a few starters. Everything was pleasent, light and just a hair above what we expected. The waiters staff was nice, curtiouse and explained all the dishes, and recomended options and substations for specific ingrediants. The wine selection was also top knoch. Neither wine was to expensive and was just right for the taste. The meals were satisfying and we chose to skip dessert but were pleasently supprised with an amazing dessert wine. The prices were fair. The food amazing and obove all we met the owner who himself has a strong culanery background but also is an intreging individual. Defenitly would come back for just dinner, or a business meeting.
Incredible food and awesome history of the place! Staff is really pleasant and they go above and beyond to meet your needs. I was in NY for 10 days, and I ate here daily.
The outdoor setting was good, spacious and distant from each others table. Service was good and while not all dishes are memorable, burger is always satisfying.
Love everything about it.. ambiance..delicious food..upbeat music.. I highly recommend it
The food here is acceptable but not surprising
The food was subpar, and the prices were shockingly high for how bland the dishes were. The presentation was actually pretty decent, so I was surprised at how everything ended up tasting... it was quite disappointing. The service was fine, but a bit slow for how few patrons they had at the time.
Our team loved our meal here - the hazelnut crusted halibut in particular was delicious. It’s nice to have a go to spot that is spacious and reasonably priced!
Amazing place and they’re crushing it during covid. Great staff and amazing food. They take customer satisfaction seriously. Tired of waiting at the smith and then making you put your mask on and off - copinette is your answer.
The food was amazing!Loved the atmosphere.Sat outside on a beautiful, sunny Sunday. Service was great too.
Came here for Restaurant Week and had the Ragu as a main — was delicious! Would be glad to eat here again.
DEAD ROACH FOUND IN FOOD.
We came here for my fiancé’s birthday dinner and it was great. Super attentive service, amazing food, awesome cocktails, great atmosphere. Would absolutely come back.
Great food, high quality, and good service.
Truffle risotto— enough said. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back again.
Was just OK. Service was inattentive but I guess this is the new norm post-pandemic. I had the hamburger and the bun was gigantic and not soft so I had to dispense of it. Wife reported her risotto was OK. Wine pours were quite short. Will look elsewhere when in this neighborhood again.
Best meal I have had in the States. Stuffed pork chops was great.
I had scrimp scampi the sauce was horrible. this was the first time had this dish.
Went here for lunch on a random Tuesday afternoon and the place was relatively quiet. The four of us and our little one on his comfortable high chair were seated right away.We started off with Cucumber Cooler ($15), Spicy Margarita ($15), and Gene Hackman ($15) as our cocktails - all of which were absolutely excellent. Good taste, good amount of punch and took us all to that happy place after our drink! For Appetizers, we got the Truffle Burrata ($16) and Super Lump Crab Cake ($19) both of which were excellent and very flavorful. For mains we got the Smoked Salmon Frittata ($18), Four Cheese Ravioli ($20), Truffle Risotto ($19), and Fettuccine Bolognese ($22). The vegetarian options were excellent and my Four Cheese Ravioli was very delicious. Our table enjoyed their meal and food overall was really delicious and for a change, really well priced too!Service was excellent, friendly staff, and food arrived within 20 minutes of ordering. Noise levels were low and seating was very comfortable. We will definitely visit again!
I had great Crab Cake and Rack of Lamb last night at this new Restaurant. Food was amazing!!! Wine and service satisfying. Will be back
We went on the first weekend it was open... The owner of this place also owns a place on 2nd Ave. Food, service, ambiance, everything was perfect. Even the portion size was perfect, I left not too full but definitely satisfied. Check this place out!
Nani and I enjoyed our date night. The girlfriends were also there. Really spoiling the atmosphere. I wish Svetlana was there
1st time to try your place. Tasty. Not fabulous. Service was good.
Amazing atmosphere! Food was good not great , service was good not great.
Very nice place for brunch. In midtown and close to Rockefeller Plaza.French influence. Food was good.
The lamb chops were fabulous!
Restaurant week lunch was wonderful
Happy hour good wine by the glass and lovely burrata salad with truffle oil... Good bar service
Lovely Thanksgiving meal.
Fantastic food, dessert and lovely service!! So glad I went there with my friend during restaurant week
Wow,simply amazing. Not knowing what to expect we were blown away.Right when we walked in the front door Theresa the barmaid treated us like we were part of the family.Hanging out at the bar before dinner was great. We were seated by Andrew who explained the specials of the night and his favorites.Octupus salad and crab cakes were super. The French onion soup was banging in its crock with cheese over the side.Main course finished the five star night as my wife had the seabass and ny strip was made to perfection. As there are many choices of eateries in the area,it’s all about the atmosphere just as much as the food. They clearly have it working here with all the components of fantastic food, atmosphere and very reasonable prices for NYC.
Great food and atmosphere!!
Terrific food. The Chilean sea bass was outstanding, as was the shrimp scampi.
Good chicken and waffles. More of a chicken cutlet style.
My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxed cocktail at the bar before taking our six person table. The restaurant has an excellent manager who hires and retains warm and inviting staff that offered us a great corner table. The staff were very accommodating throughout our meal. We all enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing 3 hour dinner. Most inspiring was the integrity of the waitstaff as they informed me that I had essentially doubled the intended tip since the bill for our party of 6 had included all gratuities. Honest people who deserve your patronage!
We stop by after dinner for a night cup, and side order, plenty seats available,I guy told us that french fries doesnt count.OUTRAGED, very rudePlenty friendly spots in our neighborhood, skip this one.
A skilled bartender, with an amazing knowledge of alcools and their trends. Sitting at the bar and chatting with him was a great pleasure, as French visitors !
Very tasty!
Cool place and say hi to the nice bartender Therese! Great wines and good food too. In rush times best to make reservation. Menu is lighter modern American, really loved the risotto!!
My husband and I had a late dinner. The restaurant was quiet, because there weren’t a lot of people. The food was good. We had the grilled octopus and I had the lobster risotto. I enjoyed my dinner.
The food was unbelievably delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful. Great spot. I highly recommended Copinette.
Booked a private room for a family lunch -- for 15 people. Food was excellent. Service outstanding. Space was perfect for an intimate family gathering.
Stopped in for an early dinner during restaurant week! The french onion soup was perfectly flavored and served piping hot!!! Warm and friendly bartender and wait staff! A must if you in the area and looking for french preparations and great french wine options!!!
Recently hosted a board dinner at Copinette in the private room upstairs. 100% recommend. To start, Sandra, the event coordinator, was fantastic to work with and prompt in response. Every guest raved about the food and continued to talk about their meals the next morning. Will be back personally and to host events!
Awesome menu! Perfect for a birthday dinner. Highly recommend the steak frites!
The arugula salad and crabcakes are like no there. The staff is always friendly, attentive and professional.
We had a wonderful evening there at the bar. Foods were fantastic.
Excellent food and atmosphere
One of the best steaks I had ever. So far this restaurant has been tops. Owner super friendly.
The food was incredible
Good food and service. Fairly priced for the area. Nice in between of casual and fine dining. Good for dates and chill nights with your SO. 4.5/5
Fantastic place with perfect location, delicious food, and excellent service! I cant wait to be back!
Incredible food and the waitstaff was very friendly
I held a bridal shower brunch for 22 people and was totally delighted with everything at Copinette. Sandra, the event manager, guided me through the planning accommodating my every request. The food was excellent and the wait staff helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful experience for guests and me. My sincere thanks to Copinette.
Wonderful place with a great atmosphere and nice lady that manages the bar. Great food as well.
Amazing food like you are eating in Italy very friendly staff nice and clean.
Very busy but server was amazing and a sweetheart! Good was delicious as well!!
Nice restaurant. Truffle risotto was tasty. Service was fast and live music was lovely.
Great appetizers and entrees, reasonable prices. Nice dining experience
Great brunch! 🍳🥞🥓🥐☕
This was our first visit after hearing several recommendations from friends in our building on 53rd St. After a warm welcome, we received the perfect table and excellent service. The food was beautifully prepared, with a timely arrival and it was delicious. I personally had the lobster linguine and was delighted to find huge chunks of freshly shelled tender lobster meat. The mascarpone/vegetable/bacon cream sauce over the black linguine was incredible. There was no pressure from the staff for us to leave once we finished and stayed for a bit to reminisce with friends. And for our seventh visit, I hereby leave this additional review: You must visit this restaurant to get the full experience as my reviews wont quite do justice. Request Emilio to be your waiter. Absolutely wonderful experience. Starts with the cheerful welcome and then the food. We have been reserving 2 pm late lunch so we are not inundated by the out the door dinner lines! My three guests during this latest visit were thrilled with their perfectly prepared salmon and dinner salad suggestions. I again had the lobster linguine and its as though the chef placed an entire lobster tail and claw in the delicious linguine and sauce. Very generous and most highly appreciated. We stayed and enjoyed a wonderful conversation and none of the staff rushed us to depart!! They were so friendly and wonderful and made us feel like we owned the restaurant for that short period of time. Thanks again, Emilio! We shall return again and again ~ and big-time compliments to the owner and manager for a perfectly run establishment. We love our neighborhood gem.
Amazing drinks with decent food. Bacon wrapped shrimp is a must
Steak frites was excellent.
Love this place.Great outdoor space but indoors very comfortable too. Wonderful food and service.
Loved it also, Great service I would recommend the burger with truffel feries
Great atmosphere and food.
Really love this restaurant. The service and cuisine are excellent and the wine list is well curated with a combination of interesting, good value wines and big name labels. Outdoor seating is a big plus.
Excellent staff and great outdoor dining space. Will come back for the burger and a cab.
Simple but good food. I went for brunch and got the omelette of the day.
The food, service and ambience was great! I had the grilled octopus, lobster arugula salad and shrimp tower, plus lychee martini, all yum!! I look forward to coming back and tasting other dishes & drinks!
Good food, bad service.
I celebrated my friend’s birthday party with total of 13 people. The food was great, waiter was really nice- he helped us set up the cake, took photo, and checked in regularly. However, the manager was super rude, we arrived there and he asked rudely how many people were there. We also bought a friend a whiskey and asked nicely whether we can have a shot for the sake of celebrating (it’s really ok if we are not allowed to, we understand). But the manager told us very rudely that we can’t do that and no restaurant will allow us to do that because “we have to pay for everything, the space, this (pointing at lights)” - instead of telling us nicely. Super dissatisfied with the manager, but food and service by the waiter were great.
Brunch menu was extensive and I ordered the portobello and shrimp, and it was delicious! My first time at Copinette for brunch and I will definitely be back. Ample seating, indoors and out.
Great food and service!
