Great food and excellent spot for some cosy drinks. Service was commendable and delicious food. Highly recommend the fried pickles, very intriguing dish.
Delicious!! A great little place we found by chance looking for a place to eat for lunch. We ordered the special that day, a turkey sandwich with fries with a bowl of soup and mozzarella sticks. Very delightful! I highly recommend trying this quaint and charming place.
Really enjoyed this little gem that was right next to our hotel. It is very lively in the front and very classy in the back for a more traditional dining experience.
Im a fan for a nice sit down casual dining experience. Two bars inside so Im sure the happy hour is happy. Came here for lunch to try their signature burger, nothing fancy but decent menu options and good food. While the burger lacked some flavor, the pretzel bun (if youre a fan, which Im not) is what makes it their burger. Theres no regular buns offered. Soup and fish tacos are good choices.
1st time here, it was a very awesome experience, delicious food and amazing service recommend 100%🤩Im going to make it my favorite place
If you’re in Manhattan, you must add this amazing spot to your itinerary to escape the city’s hustle and bustle, enjoy your favorite drink, and indulge in delicious food.
Food and waitress is amazing. Just be careful because there is a lot a douchey 21 year olds that talk way louder than necessary, Are single, and say things like “I went way to hard last night!” Or the married lady at the bar flirting with her co worker. But it’s nyc
This was a great casual dining option with our elementary age kids while in town for the weekend. The food options are very approachable for mid-town and have unpublished, but easy kids options if you ask. You’ll find all your standard beer and mixed drink options as well as specials. Solid overall place for any day/night out.
FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!! Would definitely recommend. Service was spot on, food came out hot and fresh. this is my first time coming here and to new york and i would. definitely come back just for this restaurant!❤️
The bar appetizers were really tasty and well made! Our bartender didn’t pay attention to us. Overall though this place a is a solid, cozy New York bar! The Wine Not? sign was pretty cool, too.
Cool bar with friendly staff.I only used this place for some late evening drinks as cheaper and a better atmosphere here then my hotel around the corner. Not to busy when I was there.
Everything we ate was great! Had the game on which was nice.
Great food, excellentl service.Just arrived in NYC, and was around the corner to grab some late food.
Im beyond disappointed and disheartened. I had to put the review up. My husband and I came from out of town we enjoy NYC. We went into this Very opened and servicing bar and the bartender yells at us. Guys were done were not serving you people you dont wanna believe that people are actually racist especially in one of the best cities in the world. But, unfortunately if youre not white you will not be serviced. Luckily, my lovely green money can be spent somewhere else but black people just stay away. Its not even worth it.
Met my girlfriend for dinner who had to give a cc to place a reservation. I paid with my cc but, guess what, next day they charged her $20 for a no-show. So hostess doesnt check her in and now she has to hunt down a manager to get her money back! No clue about customer service. Otherwise the food was good, but not at the cost of this aggravation.PS: restaurant did end up refunding her.
We came here for a private event in the upstairs bar, and it was the perfect vibe for a casual after work hang out. The staff was super friendly and made some very strong drinks!I would definitely come back just to hang out
Service is fast and Food is good for the price range. The Foxy Burger was excellent. Fries were lame though.UPDATE: Promise kept. Fries were awesome this time. Burger was even better. Burger of the Week seems no brainer. I will be regular now.
Nice venue with a second floor (mostly) reserved for parties or special events. That floor even has a balcony. Near most midtown locations. Good bartenders! Only had a few appetizer bites but they seemed tasty
Loved it. The servers were kind and on it, no wait, not overcrowded on a Saturday night, the ambiance was sports bar meets old fashioned parlor, the burgers were tasty and juicy, the fries were perfect, the vibe was relaxed, the prices were reasonable, even the bathrooms were clean and smelled good. You should try it!
Great spot with delicious food and tasty drinks. The second floor is pretty chill for group meetups. Highly encourage checking out their event packages.
Had a full day of football. Great bartender. I was there with a friend in town from Florida. We would definitely go back again.
Great food and customer service. Just a bit pricey.
I will definitely be coming back to eat again. I had for drinks, a NY sour and it was delicious, the food was brought out to us reasonable fast and was cooked to perfection, the Roxy Burger in particular was great, i ordered well done and it came as suchThe staff was lovely, they made sure we didnt want for anything, with frequent revisits to the table to check on us, 10/10 Definitely a spot to check if your by 47th street.
We visited multiple times with colleagues, who know the manager of the place. Absolutely a winner - every time we had an absolutely wonderful time. The GM himself is a very nice guy too, always making time for a short conversation, and very much engaging with the crowd. The beers & spirits are fine, but mostly the atmosphere of the place is just great (also 1 level up). Very easy to spend a couple of hours here week after week. Maybe not the biggest fan of the food selection, but oh well.
Tried this place for dinner with my sons, our hotel gave us 4 free drink tickets with the purchase of a meal. I didn’t realize it was more of a bar with people just drinking for happy hour. Anyway we sat in the back which was a very nice area to have dinner. The waiter was very rude from Scotland and treated us rude because we were ordering dinner and didn’t want to give us our free drinks. He finally did give us our drinks after speaking with his manager first. I do have to say the food was very good with some of the best fish and chips I’ve had!! The three stars are for the rude server and the bar atmosphere otherwise probably would have given 4. I just feel like staff should be knowledgeable about promotions given to hotel guests.
Love this spot. I came on a Friday and downstairs was busy but I was seated upstairs and it was very chill. I got a ton of different appetizers. I experimented with the cauliflower tacos and honestly, they were tastier than any regular taco Ive ever eaten. Drinks were even better!
Came on a Monday night and it filled up by the time we were almost done with our meals (8pm?) the crowd was more or less people coming after work and some families here and there. The server shared recommendations which helped. We went with the burger and sandwich of the day. The sandwich looked better with the pesto chicken wrapped in naan bread. The bun was squished and sad looking and wasn’t the best we’ve tried. The fries were a little soggy. Overall not a bad place but maybe I’ll just try drinks next time
Foxy John’s has the best and freshest food around! I’ve had the chicken wings my favorite ones by the way, the California Cobb salad, their famous Foxy John’s Burger and the shrimp tacos were all extremely good at a reasonable price. The service is always great and they are all so attentive. It’s well worth a visit and highly recommended.
Great place to watch game
On a biz trip, staying at Bernic Hotel next door. First night, excited for dinner at Allora - a restaurant (connected to my hotel) with a lot of positive reviews. So disappointed with their service, I walked out and went to Foxy John’s, where I was greeted with friendliness, an intriguing cocktail menu, and a nice food menu.
It was a too loud place for dinner unless you are ok with bar guests. Because you hardly hear partners voices. Recommend for takeaway or bar drinking location.
Nice neighborhood bar with decent food. The food was tasty and there was plenty on the plates. There were three of us in our party and everyone ordered something different. None of us had any complaints about the food. Considering there were not to many folks in the restaurant, I would have hope for a little quicker service...
Its a bar thats close to work. It does the job well. Service is good, and its not incredibly busy all the time. Bathrooms are clean, food is acceptable.
Best bar in Dingle! Good mix of locals and tourists. Great live music, great drinks, great time. If youre staying in Dingle, make sure you check it out. The bartenders and owner are the friendliest people. Also, has any hardware item you may need.
A nice bar that’s just a hop skip and jump from Grand Central, easy for commuters. There are 2 floors and each floor has its own bar, so unlike a lot of places in the area, finding an opening/getting the attention of a bartender to order a drink is easy! There’s also an outdoor deck that’s accessible and overlooks the street below. It does seem to be well known in the area, so a lot of seating was “reserved” as people trickled in after work.
Atmosphere is nice, fairly spacious for NYC. Thus far i have had good results getting table at the last moment. Great variety of menu meal options with a daily speciality menu that actually changes daily. Very reasonably priced as well. Been here 2x in a row and would come back a 3rd.
A fun place with good food and a fun atmosphere.
I went to grab a burger the other night and I would definitely go back. The burger was good and unlike most places in New York I didnt feel crowded. The place has so much room. Its got good food and a good selection of beer so its definitely worth a stop in if youre in the area.
With my family! Great service, atmosphere and food! Friendly and clean. Very good in NY
If you’re looking for fun, hot guys, good music, and positive vibes, then Foxy John’s is the right place for you. The food here is amazing! My favorite meal to order is the “Grilled Lemon Chicken” and the “Black Angus Burger.” The staff is polite, and very welcoming to all customers.
Great customer service, food, & atmosphere!
Daisa the waitress was super nice. Theb appetizer (pita bread with grill chicken pesto was great). The food I ordered was delicious. The prices are not bad for the city. Too bad the balcony closed. Unfortunately we could not get dessert (although I would have love to) because the kitchen closed around 11:00pm. The peach mojito was not bad. I would definitely go back there.
The bar food is ok. Be safe stick with wings. Forgot some orders and messed up orders and then bar tender dissapeared until we saw her walking out the door going home more than ten minutes later. Then the guy came and was attentive and polite.
I had a mishap happen with a different bar nearby and called Foxy Johns panicking asking if they could cater for a work event ASAP. Keith (the manager) took my order and then walked the food over to me PERSONALLY 15mins before our agreed upon time. The mac & cheese bites, mozz sticks, burgers, fries EVERYTHING was SO good and Keith literally saved the day! Theyre absolutely amazing!!!!!
OMG, excellent!
Had curry chicken bowl and a couple drinks. Everything on point. Recommend if you’re in east midtown.
Awesome ambiance. We watched the Warriors vs Caveliers game here. Good food. Interesting decor and friendly service. Another place we will visit when in town.
Our food was fabulous! We had a chicken pesto flatbread pizza and a burger. Service was efficient and it was one of the best meals we’ve had all weekend!
Pretty good bar atmosphere even though I’m not into that kind of thing. The washrooms were clean as well as the remainder of the bar. Definitely not the best bar in NYC, but not the worst either. Our server was kind however we definitely felt a bit neglected at times, as it was quite busy during our visit. I probably wouldn’t come back or recommend, but it wasn’t bad either.
I cant say Id ever come back here or recommend anyone else do the same. The dollar oysters were flavorless at best and some definitely seemed like theyd passed their prime. Theres tons of great dollar oysters in the area so I was disappointed in my experience in here. The service was also extremely slow and inattentive.
The service wasnt great. Sat at a highboy table and ordered food but no waiter came to get my drink order. Had to go to the bar just to get a drink. The waiter only came to get the bill at the end. It wasnt busy so I dont know what she was doing . Food was good overall.
The Rock Shrimp is super tasty. Rosemary fries are delicious. Mozzarella sticks are on point. Service & drinks are great. Looking forward to my next visit 🍹🍻🥂🍷🍸🍾
Head upstairs for a little more stretching space. Good food, good drink prices, and good variety of TVs to watch without feeling like a typical sports pub. Nice attention to detail on holiday decorations. Highly recommend for casual meetups with friends or dinner-for-one if you are hoteling it up in our fair city.
A great new york bar with lovely food! I will be back when I return to NYC in May!
Two level bar with a bar on both floors. I had the sliders, which were pretty good. Went for happy hour in the middle of the week. Wasnt too crowded, bartenders were fast and nice, and the prices were good.
Good service, decent prices and food. Made reservations on OpenTable easily for 8 people at 8:30pm. Quickly seated when we arrived. All in all a pleasant experience.
Excellent!! We popped in after our visit to Summit One for this burger that was all the rave on yelp and IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! All of us ordered the Black Angus with different additions and it was probably the best meal we had while visiting NYC!
Not your average Irish bar. Great service, creative food, and excellent bourbon selection. TV screens are everywhere but do not feel intrusive to those who just want to have a conversation.
Funky resto bar serving tasty pub fare, cold beer and one of the best burgers Ive ever had in NYC. Service was quick efficient and friendly. What an unassuming gem in midtown Manhattan
Solid bar. Good burger. And you can order the $1 oysters in any amount you want (I had just four once), and they still give you the whole thing, with oyster crackers and dipping sauces and such.
As soon as we experienced this bar. We made it a must end of the day every day during our vacation. Love the staff. Just go, chill, eat good and have fun!
On a very recent trip to NY. We happened across this cute place. We had dinner then drinks, the vibe was so chill.
Omgggggg this place was great. It was really random but Angie made my experience GREAT! It was good food good vibes. Definitely would be coming back!
Enjoyed a beer here after touching down. Friendly staff.
Good Midtown bar for work happy hours or a weekday gastropub vibe.
Went on a fairly quiet thanksgiving morning. The interior is nice and cozy. Menu options are nicer than most bar eats and the quality was good.
Music is too loud. Food is marginal, institutional. I assume they want to come off as an Irish bar, but hostess and waitress the night I was there were far from irish (although very nice - no knock on them). The reason I choose an Irish bar is to get an Irish experience. Irish bars dont play music to a point where you have to yell to talk. The point of Irish bars is to talk - a pub, Public House, where in Ireland people come to socialize and talk. Ideally the music should be live, irish music, not blasting out of speakers from a muzak station. Foxy John, try to become more of an Irish bar and not a quasi night club with a traditional irish store front.
My family and I stopped here for a quick dinner late Thursday. The ambiance was fun, with a wide variety of music and happy patrons laughing throughout the restaurant. Although the music was a tad loud for regular volume conversations, we enjoyed it overall. The food was enjoyable and the service was amazing! We had a very attentive server and the manager was kind enough to check on us during our meal.Thank you
Great bartender, drinks made perfectly, interesting house cocktails that actually hit the mark. Place was clean; I didnt eat but those who did seemed happy. Whiskey and rye selection is very respectable.
My only complaint is the poor on tap options.
Awesome ambiance. We watched the Warriors vs Caveliers game here. Good food. Interesting decor and friendly service. Another place we will visit when in town
Energetic and informal, young professional crowd. We were seated even though we showed up 20 minutes early. Tasty veg options too.
Nice little venueChoose foxy burger was just rightStaff little slow
Only had drinks here but the bartenders and waitresses were all super friendly and fun to talk to. We also went in on Saturday night for live music.
We came here for dinner after flying in from the UK. It was quick convenient and tasty, helpful especially when you’re a bit jet lagged.
Bar tenders were so much more attentive for an active after work bar than I anticipated. Was very pleasantly surprised. Food is good too!Nov 22 update: good for world cup matches. Staff remain very attentive!
What’s a good spot to grab a drink and watch some March madness basketballCalamari was delicious and the bartender was a great guy.
The staff, food and drink are awesome. Love the atmosphere too! Theres an upstairs party room that rents for private events.
Service was fast and the burgers were perfect!
Nice easygoing place. I had the smashed burger week special and was delicious. The bartender very friendly.
Second time here now. Friendly staff, GREAT food. TV screens all around for sports fans. Very happy customer.
Amazing restaurant/bar with a lovely atmosphere. The edamame veggie burger was delicious!
Great spot out of the crowd. Service was fast and courteous. Had calamari, pesto & chicken flatbread, and the sliders, and were great and had good portions.
Fine. Nice bar. Overpriced for the location, environment and service.
Great place, nice atmosfere, good hamburger and wide choice of draft and bottled beer...I ll be back... surely!!
On a Sunday late afternoon early evening, we walked into a empty place and were seated quickly and in the back, which was nice. The menu has a great selection of food, and drinks. The food came out hot and delicious. The appetizers were the perfect amount and they were able to put the sauces on the side. The main dishes were great and we walked away full. The only thing I wish they had a better selection of was dessert. (I was hoping for something more then a brownie and berry pie). Now both of those could have a been great.. and I missed out.Overall a great spot with great food and great service. Highly recommend.
Awsome. The place is packed for lunch and for a good reason. Salmon sandwich was excellent, it was huge, melted in my mouth.
Nice place for lunch. Speed of service was good, and the food was very good.
Okay food but good service. Definitely would never go here for the food again.
Cute bar great food great drinks
Kid friendly, thank you so much! Fresh salads were very good
Cozy pub atmosphere. Really good food. Oster deals and happy hour. Great staff
Great venue in great location! Beware of bar tenders overcharging & double charging! Best chicken wings in NYC
Like most Amercan bars, they cant pour a proper pint.
Allday $1 Oyster is value for money !
Low key bar in midtown east. Nice library section in the back which you can rent out for a large party (30 people).
Was in NYC for a fast, fun weekend with my whole family (wife, 3 teenagers) and went here for a quick bite before heading to Radio City Music Hall. Good service, and great food (I had a steak, believe it or not) for just being a ‘local bar’. Definitely suggest. Wife and I even came back for a nightcap(pictured)!
The oysters are great and only $1 ea. Staff is attentive even when theyre packed. You can sit upstairs on the balcony.
Had an absolute ball, our bartender was unreal think Dermot so easy on the eyes !!! Someone called him Fanta pants not sure what that is but he loved it.
Service was great, food was good, crowded and loud which did not bother me. What really bothered me were the old reviews of happy hour specials, which are pretty much nonexistent (went on a Thu night, did not see any sign of happy hour, asked and was told only Merlot, IPA, and bud lite in can) and the 3% credit card surcharge not mentioned on the menu or anywhere else in the restaurant. It is an okay spot, but probably would have passed otherwise.
Good food drinks at a reasonable price.Good service, little loud but then it is a bar...
Love their wings and that Hibiscus version of the French 75 is amazing
Went there for a luncheon with my team. The servers were attentive and efficient. Food was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I will definitely go back.. I love the Rosemary Fries and chicken sandwich.. The Bang Bang shrimp were a fave. The salmon club was also great. Portions size is good. Looking forward to my next visit 😊
Good selection. Prices are not bad (for the location). Good for groups looking for a fun happy hour.
Happy hour at foxys was fun! The place was jumping by 5:30 p.m. great midtown location.
The first bar we visited on this trip. A long thin atmospheric bar down a side street. We liked it.
Great burger and sandwich deal at the bar. Changes everyday and theyre always good.
Hours on their listing are wrong. Employees clearly knew this and didnt care. Sorry get lost.
Great service. Food tasted amazing especially the truffle mac and cheese!
Great spot for after work beers. Burgers and chicken tenders are great
Nice place to take a beer and listen live music. The meat is excellent as well.
Great food and vibe but its really the staff that make the place. Cahir was super cool to our entire group, which stayed til closing, and we certainly didnt feel rushed or anything when it was time to go. Hospitality was on point which means the world this day in age.
Great place to get a drink and some food, good service.
Predictable food quality and service. Good for a lunch business meeting.
It’s an OK place for a quick bite. Mai dining partner thought it might be better to go somewhere else but I’d already sat down and was quite tired so we gave it a shot. The food was OK and the service is pretty good but there are quite a few otherplaces to have lunch in New York.
Neon lit bar with a large space at the back. Plenty of food and wide drinks selection. Fast service
Great service. Good food. Great drinks.
The food was amazing and so was the service. A very easy experience.
The oysters were disappointing and the draft beer stale, but good service and still a fine place to watch a few games.
Not a fan of the food. Usually crowded and loud. Bartenders see there for the poor not the banter.
I swear to God they have the best chicken sandwich youll ever eat.
Was showing some friends from London around and had to catch a train at Grand Central after. They had the fish and chips and said it was proper, so coming from them that says something. Chicken Curry bowl was fresh, clean food. The tv board with live train times is a nice touch.
Very nice establishment. Great food and friendly waitstaff.
Great service! Friendly staff from the fornt door to the bartender/waitress. A smile and warm welcome.Burger was delicious and for the location/decor a good price point. Highly recommend.
Awesome place for a drink or full meal service. Friendly staff
All dishes were beautiful pizza, hamburger and beef steak 😋😋
Great bar, good food for cheap prices, lovely staff, I would definitely come back if this wasn’t my last evening in New York 😋
Typical dive bar, nothing special. Had big screen in the back for a game night. Food was average, so was the service.
Its a pub in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday night. Our server was very busy but never missed a beat. The food selections (at least the apps we ordered) were surprisingly eclectic collectic for a Midtown pub. The beer selections were also well chosen and covered the spectrum of the beer universe, from lager to IPA to stout to wheat and a few niche offerings. Will definitely go back, and add this place to my quiver of reliable Midtown pubs.
Excellent burgers & a good selection of beers too!
Great drinks! Highly recommend for a pre dinner warm up.
Great bar and great food. Lots of hot women at this bar. I hope to return soon.
Had lunch here couple times and enjoy the quality of the food, service and speed.
Great place for a date. Fun vibe and pretty drinks.
Burger is good, nice balcony tables, friendly staff
Absolute best craic. Michelle the barmaid is a legend, 10/10 would recommend
Excellent food if a little expensive (it’s New York) and great service.
Great atmosphere, good music. Good food.
Super great dinner! Bang bang shrimp was AWESOME
Kevin took great care of us! The quintessential bar experience. Great service, VERY TASTY food & VIBRANT atmosphere! An excellent spot any time of DAY OR night.
The food is great for your happy hour needs.
Small quaint pub in midtown.Drinks are strongk. Yes with a K.Food is good.Their baked wings sauce on the side spot on.After work happy hourer folks flock the bar and block the entrance and tables in the back.
Love this place! Great staff and excellent food!
Just stopped for a beer and a rest.A great place.
Pretty good, i even got the girly drinks. those first two are pretty good.
Great place for either drinks or food. Very comfortable place
Hosted a company happy hour here and it was nothing short of Amazing! Keith handled our reservation like the Pro that he is and made for an enjoyable evening for everyone. If you need a place for a nice group outing this is definitely it and the food was EXCELLENT!!
Bottomless mimosas and blueberry waffles were the best!
Great place for a quick bite, cold beer and some sports on TV
The food was only okay. I had wings and a flatbread. Not bad but it seemed to be missing the extra touches to excel. The bar atmosphere is great so if you are looking for a place to just drink and grab a snack it may be worthy of a visit.
Cozy atmosphere. Good food 😊
Great food!
Mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce, yummy. Great menu.
Good food great service fair prices
Regular bar for a quick catch up with friends if your in the city!
Food was horrible 0/11 never coming back please dont come here.
Not a high end place, but a good menu with a good choice of specials everyday. The dishes I tried were tasty and well balanced. The drinks list is sufficient. The place is pleasant, and relatively quiet, as it offers more space between the tables than what we usually find in Manhattan.Good service, by a crew of nice and attentive young people. Very decent prices for Manhattan. A good place, offering good value for money!
We had ordered 2 Foxy Johns burgers Medium Rare, which the waited repeated back to us, then they came out well done as hockey pucks and we were rushed out of lunch on a rainy afternoon when the restaurant had plenty of tables left.
Fantastic little venue for amazing live music and good company
Our go to happy hour spot for after work drinks!
Great food good people wings are great not your traditional style wings !!
Local pub with drinks and food. They have a casual upstairs dining room good for lunch or large group gatherings. I especially liked the grilled chicken sandwich with apples and walnuts on multi grain. If youre looking for a juicy burger with fries, they will hit the spot. We went midweek during lunch and it was relatively uncrowded. Dont let the name fool you.
Great bar clean with lots of space friendly staff
Busy after work bar with good food and atmosphere.
Hit or miss with the bar tender. Otherwise a good selection of booze
Nice food and beers. Great atmosphere
Great bar in 47th. Stopped in by chance. Great staff, very attentive
Stumbled on this gem last evening. Added bonus hearing Irish accents from Mayo and Belfast. Blended well with my Monaghan/Long Island one :)Had the fish and chips. Great portions, great sauces and just yummy and hot. Best in forever. Great service. Thanks Dermot. You are indeed from Gods county!! This place is a must visit. Their new menu came out yesterday. Something for everyone and very reasonable. Atmosphere is tops!
Good service, but my burger was vastly undercooked.
Came for brunch. Amazing bottomless mimosas. Such a great atmosphere. Probably my go to for brunch now. Service was amazing thank you to the waitress Wendy. Most outstanding hostess Karen. The entire staff is lovely would definitely recommend to everyone!
Better bar food than youd expect
Great service. Nachos were great, wife said burger was the best she’s ever had, and Parmesan wings were very good. Great comfort food, grab a beer, and relax after a day of walking.
Excellent midtown pub! They usually have excellent daily food specials. This one is oriented towards televised sports rather than Irish charm. But regardless it is a solid choice for after work drinks and bites. Features both a downstairs and upstairs bar. There are a lot of pub choices in the east 40s and 50s, and they all fill-up by 6pm. This one is better than average and is now on my after work shortlist.
Limited selection of beer and hard liquor. However the prices are good for a midtown bar. The staff was friendly and I got my drinks quickly. They were good but nothing special or unique. Over all a good place to hang with friends and have a drink or 3.
Love the place and the service great place to hang out
Pretty good oysters and burgers. It is somewhat small but the service is great - very friendly and attentive. Better to eat-in than take-out.
This place is so wonderful. This place gives me Ski town Vermont feel-yet you are in NYC. Food is great. Service is fantastic. Very quaint and comfortable. Highly recommend!
The drinks were amazing (highly recommend the French 47 and mezcal mule!!) and service was great. S/o to andreas!!! He was so helpful and considerate
Three of us stopped there by chance on a Sunday looking for breakfast/brunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the upbeat decor. Id definitely go again.
Great food, cool staff.
Went for bottomless brunch with the ladies. Food and drinks were excellent. Staff was so friendly (love Philippe and Siobhan). Definitely would go back.
Ive visited twice on separate trips to NYC for mid day drinks and snacks. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. We had fried pickles and Mexican cheese sticks. Both were fried perfectly and great flavor. I will likely return next time Im in town for dinner.
Came here with the office on a happy hour. Solid service, in a cozy setting. Decent lighting and sound. The buffalo chicken flat bread was exceptional.
No doubt about it this is a must go to. Amazing food, clean, great staff. Best place I’ve been to in NYC.
I absolutely love foing to Foxy Johns. My coworker and I go every Friday and order the same thing. Their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich might be the best chicken sandwich I have ever had.
Had a great group dinner here. Drinks were turned around so fast I had to check to see if the beer was warm. I had the salmon with pasta and it was very well executed.
I thought this place was going to be good but the service is horrible. I sat at the bar and literally had to ask for everything except a menu. Can I order my food, may I have salt, may I have a glass of Coke, can I have a refill please. I almost felt like going to get everything myself. I eat out a lot and never have been to a place that I had to tell the bartender (I sat at the bar) what I needed next especially for a refill. The food was good and that is why it got 1 star.
Dermot Is just great, what a great bartender, fun great drinks and excellent service and very easy to understand with that beautiful west of Ireland accent. 10/10
I had the burger lunch special and it was one of the best burgers Ive had in a while. Service was fast and friendly. Plan on coming back for brunch
Midtown Manhattan bars are all pretty much the same. Theyre filled with the same corporate folks drinking the same beer and having the same conversations about the market and workplace drama and how nobody noticed that the wrong shade of blue was used on a PowerPoint deck that day.If youre going to have those conversations, may as well have it in a good place. Foxy Johns is definitely one of the better midtown bars. The food is actually good - not casually microwaved like other places in the area. The bartenders try their best to serve people quickly and efficiently (how else are you going to fuel those corporate conversations?). The management is always very accommodating and have given us the upstairs area for several work events, without charging a minimum or a fee. I recommend checking the place out for your next after work gig, whether its drinks with the boss or drinks with the entire department.
Best place on my visit to New York..
Awesome place to watch a game of your choice!Great calm cozy atmosphere!Great service, clean, friendly! Fair prices too!😊
Food good but portions a little small. It has a nice ambiance to it though, with brick walls and faux bookshelves. They have a big drink menu.
Very nice bar & restaurant! The burgers are exceptionally good!Personnel is very courteous and friendly.
Ive gone here a few times with co-workers. I enjoy their burgers and club sandwiches. Ill be here at least once a week for lunch and a drink after work.
Fab bar and great food. We had the burgers which was a bar special with a drink for $14! Great value
One of the best bars in the neighborhood... Amazing staff and super friendly bartenders. Try the fish tacos and mini pork shanks.
Decent spot for a happy hour spot if you work nearby. Its definitely a step up when compared to nearby SNAFU. It has more beer options and nice space.
Good food, friendly staff.
