449 LA is a very eclectic space alive with creative vibes and warm people. On the weekends they have live music and in the beginning of the month they offer OPEN MIC, so one can go and express their talents. Has a bar, stage, small area of tables and chairs. Gives the impression of a time when Harlem had a number of small artsy cafes. Enjoyed the performance the night I went. THE POTLUCK POETS were there.

Such a cute little place for Jazz! Went here for a small gathering and had so much fun. Music was great, service was great, and of course the musicians were great. Definitely coming back, when I’m back in town 🩷

449 LA is an incredibly special place.I visited a few weeks ago and heard a wonderfully talented group of musicians perform, including Nikita White (vocalist). The space was intimate, and everyone was warm and welcoming.Ive been coming to the city for over two decades to listen to jazz and in all those years, this is by far one of the best places Ive been. People will come to Harlem and likely go to the larger or more trendy venues for jazz, which is all good. But this place easily rises to the top for me. I cant wait to visit again, the next time Im in NYC. To the owners: thank you so much for what you do.

Great band, cozy place, family atmosphere. This place is meant for the music, drinks are just for hydration and to provide intoxication ;-) Interiors are no frills, so one is allowed to concentrate on the gig.

Juke joint style jazz with a southern hospitality feel. Come on in, sit right down and listen to some real cool cats and a kitten or two.

A great place with a very good atmosphere. We chose the club blindly and it was worth it.A very nice time. The gentlemen played brilliantly. You can see that they play for fun and pleasure. We pay $15 to get started and that includes beer/wine and a snack. After that, everything is $5.Open on the weekend.I recommend it :) (PL)A great place with a very good atmosphere. Turn off the club a little blindly and it was worth it.A very nice time.
