I think this place is far from being an “Italian restaurant “ a few months before this I had their prosciutto fresh mozzarella sandwich and it was so bare that you tasted the bread more as they had one long thin slice of prosciutto. I ordered their lunch chicken parmigiana Hero and it looked like something an 11yr old made in a toaster oven. One thin piece of chicken that didn’t even reach the end of the sandwich and the sauce literally tasted like Ragú sauce that wasn’t worth the $9.50. Restaurants cut corners but calling a sandwich a “Hero” when it’s barely 4 fingers in length is sad. The bartender/server was amazing…

I constantly request extra dressing and extra sauce and extra Parmesan cheese in my pickup and delivery orders and I can’t count how many times that I don’t get that as though it may bankrupt the restaurant. Many times I don’t even get bread or even UTENSILS that the app asks if you want and that I checked for.Ive bought Caesar salad at another area restaurant (second photo), for less than the price and it had extra dressing, tomatoes, and slices of real Parmesan cheese added for less the price. “Lettuce with croutons” is not worth the money I paid. The quality assurance has gone down once Covid was over. I had been a customer when they barely had any customers during that time and the QA has changed dramatically, I guess because the customer base has grown ever since Coogans closed so that won’t be their problem anymore. I won’t be ordering many items from them going forward.

I had the lobster ravioli in vodka and spent over $20+ on 5 fridge rewarmed mock lobster raviolis. It only took me eating one to find that out, then I called and was denied to exchange my food and/or refund me my money when I had explained only a piece of the meal was eaten. Never returning again.

My Friend and I went here. Unfortunately their drink was tampered with and they were left feeling sick and not remembering the night after 2 drinks. TWO drinks. They are not a light drinker at all. Unsafe space

A little gem in the middle of Washington Heights. The servers are very nice and attentive. I ordered the salmon and it was perfectly cooked. I loved their potato leek soup (part of their lunch special.) Best part? prices are unbeatable. I couldn’t believe the amount of food I got for what I paid. Will 100% come back!

Popped in here on the way to a race at the Armory and we were in a hurry. Bartender got us a quick table near the bar and directed us to the early bird meal (4:30-6:30pm) which was a glass of wine or soda, soup or salad, and entree, for $14.95. I got the chicken marsala, which also came with pasta, and my husband got the salmon and pasta. Food was absolutely delicious and service was extremely quick. Very happy and will definitely come back next time we are visiting.

Great for happy hour. My go to go for amazing lunch, healthy and delicious. They do anything and everything to make everyone happy. 100/10 recommended. I keep coming back.

Went there for a third try. Wanted to try the brunch menu and ended up disappointed. Food did not taste fresh and servers just place the food/drink on the table and walk away without checking if they gave it to the right person. I usually ordered pasta and had no issue with the food. But service is not so great. I used to be a waitress and I can say with assurance that service could be better. I ended up paying an extra plate just because I wanted to be the bigger person. I order an egg Benedict that was terrible. The server offered to change it for sausage instead of the old prosciutto on it. The plate comes back with 2 small sausage links. The plate still didn’t taste right. So I asked for pasta instead, what I knew I would like. We received the bill and the egg Benedict were still there. I asked why and the server ended up talking over me like a child. So i clarified to him that I wasn’t going to argue for $15, And that his job was supposed to let me know that he had to charge me for the plate before I ordered something else. I told him that I would pay the bill but he would lose 2 costumer. He replied like he was not interested in losing 2 people. They don’t care about service or costumer satisfaction. Won’t go there again.

This is my go to for Italian. I order delivery from here often and I am always impressed! The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are generous. Some of the best things Ive ordered are the mussels in red sauce (one of the best sauces Ive had), eggplant parmesan, and lasagna. The food always comes well packaged and prepared and everything is delicious! I cant speak to the service in the restaurant but the food and value you get I think would make it worth a try!

I had a horrible experience i order a pasta they brought me something else. I called the place they were rude stated it was my fault for the mistake and then hung up on me. I am sooooo annoyed. They stated they were not going to make another order because they would loose money 💰😞

I order from here often, it hits every single time. 10/10 will visit soon for full experience. I recommend their salmon filet, lasagna, pasta, and Italian wedding soup!

Horrible Italian food! Sauce tasted canned, pasta was overcooked, eggplant was mushy, and they charge for every little thing.

The food is delicious The meatballs are juicy the veal parm is delicious and the people that work there are so warm and friendly kinda feels like Im eating from my grandmas house. The margaritas are very popular and the beers are usually nice and cold

We waited at least 45min for reheated food, premade sauce and all the food brougth at the same time (entree and main dishes). For their defense we were a group of 10 people and uber eat is a thing...still was expecting better.

Drinks were not so good. They tasted really bad. My husband and i got a mojito and a Margarita and we only got one drink . We ended up leaving 30 mins later as the alcohol was really bad, very cheap alcohol mixed with the margaritta and mojito

We ordered cocktails and food. The cocktails took over 30 minutes to arrive (and our drinks came after other tables who arrived after us - note that the restaurant was not crowded either) and the food never did, despite informing the waiter. No apology. I love supporting local businesses but I would not go back here. There are other great establishments in the Heights with awesome customer service and excellent food and drinks. The cocktails that we were given were not good at all - unless you enjoy sugar syrup.

That for takes a while to be made, I felt so full and sick after eating all that tortellini

The exterior is unassuming. And the entrance is buffered by a plastic curtain to create a makeshift foyer. I think this curtain is meant to protect from the winter weather. Once inside the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our server was extremely informative and spoke with the chef about our concerns, twice. The seafood salad appeared fresh and was filling. I also enjoyed the sangria, though Ive had better. The owner was there that night and friendly and helpful as well. Overall a great place with reasonable prices and good happy hour specials.

Prices are great, and the food quality is acceptable, but the service makes it not worth it at all. Went at the start of happy hour (6:00PM), when the place was fairly empty (only two other couples there. It still took them over 45 minutes for then to make 10 wings and 3 tacos.

Great food! They have a lot of great dishes and every one that Ive had has been excellent, including the fish, lasagna and meatballs! They have a happy hour from Noon-7pm on beer and drinks.

What an incredible surprise! 15 dollars for salmon and a glass of wine? I was super skeptical but it was absolutely delicious!! I was seriously impressed and so happy with my meal and service. We will definitely be back!

This place is definitely pretty good for its price - the deals that they run are awesome, especially the early bird special (glass of wine + salad + entree for about $12) not to mention $1 tacos on Tuesdays and 75 cent wings on Wednesday which are actually quality. Penne vodka’s great as well

Great little place. A mix of Spanish and Italian with some decent prices. We waited a bit long for food but it came out hot. Tacos were alright but the burrito was well-made. We’ve tried the meatballs too and they were done nicely.

The delivery guy was nice but the food came 40 minutes after expected delivery time (over one hour after putting in the order). It is a rainy July 4th, so we expected some delay but not this much. Every item we ordered was drenched in cheese. Vegetables were overcooked. The tomato sauce was really great though. We will not order from this place again.

Teriyaki wings were good (a little heavy on the sauce); steak churrasco was great; and the seafood salad tasted so fresh! They forgot my water in the food delivery but when I called staff were profusely apologetic and agreed to credit my account without any problem.

Best restaurant in NY :) Lovely food, lovely staff. Their chicken parmegiana is out of this world, love their frozen margaritas and flavored mojitos.

Great food, the vodka sauce is extraaaa delicious! So is the creme brulee! Drinks great too and the service was even better? Place is small, nothing crazy fancy but great for casual get togethers.

Great food and service at very reasonable prices if you go before 6:30 and have the Early Bird Specials. Try the very creamy fettuccini Alfredo and the tiramisu. My only quibble was a bit of noise from the bar but all in all we had a very pleasant night and because we mentioned quite truthfully that it was our wedding anniversary the single dessert we ordered to share was comped.

Horrible service. Ordered takeout via their website and showed up 20 mins afterwards as directed by the website. My order was not ready and I was told 5 more minutes. I took a seat and waited. The waiter who took my name passed me several times and reassured me my order what right up. I even asked if a bag with food by the register was mine and he said no, thats delivery, Yours is coming right up. Look, Im not in the business of making servers lives miserable so I was as patient as possible, I waited 40 mins. This is a Friday night and the place is NOT full (3 seated tables in 3 different sections, 3 servers working). I finally went in (after 40 mins of waiting) and said cancel my order and that is when the server said, I dont know which order is yours? Which app did you order off of? Im frankly dumbfounded, I thought the kitchen was running behind or a 1 man show but it was front of house that was incompetent. I showed him my confirmation email and he said, Ill get this to you in 5 mins. I said, no, Im not giving you any of my money (I was paying at pick up) and walked up. He trailed behind me and had a full on argument with me at their gate, attempting to explain away what happened. No apologies at all. I let him know you have horrible customer service. If you couldnt find my order you could have asked me even 20 mins ago what my name was again or checked in. While I sat and waited I saw wait staff laugh and goof around, I dont care about that, people deserve breathers when they can get them, asking ME what my order number is or confirmed my name, would have take all of 2 mins. Horrible, horrible service. I hope the wait staff gets some training on how to treat people. It was unkind and unprofessional to leave me sitting there for so long.

A cozy little local spot with good deals and decent pasta. The Early Bird Special includes your choice from several pasta dishes, complete with soup or salad, fresh bread and a glass of wine - for $10.95! Service can be a little slow at times but has gradually improved.

If you have someone in NY Hospital Columbia Medical Center and cant eat one more horrible meal in that cafeteria, take a walk or short cab ride to 171st and Broadway. Good food. Nice staff. Food is not the most authentic Italian but good.

Im pretty sure I got good poisoning after eating here last night. I ordered the lemon chicken with pasta in marinara sauce?? The space is small, the tables were even smaller, they have the nerves to bring the food out in two separate plates... As if there was space for that! I knew there was something up with the chicken which is why I didnt even finish it all. I got home and my stomach was just doing twists and turns, I ended up bar find my $30 worth of food. Still feel sick this morning! Our server had a very horrible attitude, my mom even asked her to smile a little more because my husband and I werent having a good experience based off her attitude. I think then thats when she added automatic gratuity to the bill because she was afraid of getting a bad tip. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for them just to refill out cups with WATER! The food took another 30 minutes to come out. My mom had to send back the food because they got it wrong, she had to wait another 10 minutes for them to bring the food out. It was just a horrible experience all around. There was a live singer in the front by the bar area, I guess she was nice. Needless to say, never stepping foot in that place again. Shouldve just went across the street to my Dominican-Chinese spot that serves the best chicharrones de pollo, they never get the order wrong and the food is consistently good!

I am crazy about the food here its absolutely amazing. Im a floral designer so the only thing I wish is that the restaurant had real flowers rather then the fake blue flowers. But that has nothing to do with the fact that the service, food and drinks are great. The place is always kept clean.

I discovered this place when I moved to neighborhood 1.5 years ago. I absolutely love the food, the servers. The pricing is great as well.

I came here to try the spaghetti and meatballs because a friend INSISTED that this place was authentic Italian and that the food was delicious. I could craft a diatribe, a novella, about how rancid, listless, tasteless, boring, and lazy this excuse for Spaghetti was. Instead Ill just say, if youve ever tasted a flake of seasoning, if you have a palette strong enough to withstand, lets say, a sparkling cup of water, than I would pass on this restaurant. I also tried the crab cake, as a joke since Im from Baltimore. Needless to say the joke was truly on my taste buds, then immediately thereafter, the trash can. Id avoid it all.

Went here on a Friday night after having the place recommended. Upon walking in I was introduced to club level music volumes.Sat down and didnt wait to long for service which was nice.I wouldnt come if youre only in town for a few days and looking to catch up with family or friends due to the music volume.I had the AquaMojito, figured if they named it after the places it would be a nice signature drink. I wasnt expecting mojito based on the ingredients involved, and I was not disappointed with my assessment. That said, I was expecting something that tasted good. I was disappointed with this assessment. Good amount of alcohol, but the flavors didnt work in a way to make a nice drink.Starting with the food, the party of 4 I was with ordered dinner, no appetizers. We had two chicken scarpariellos, one veal parm, with a switch to vodka sauce rather than marinara, and one linguine with mushroom dish.Starting with the chicken scarpariellos... Ive never had it without being to taste any tangy flavor, such as lemon, in it. And Ive never had it with potatoes, which the menu did mention, but was odd since it came with pasta as well. My chicken was overcooked like crazy and dry. The other was cooked well enough to be ok. Pasta for both was done garlic and oil sauce. Nothing special. Not bad. Just mediocreThe person with the mushroom dish was happy with it all around.The person with the veal ran into some problems. After requesting vodka as a switch for marinara we were informed thats an upcharge. We verified that was fine. The waiter checked that the switch was both for the veal and the separate pasta. The patron verified yes it was. So begins the breakdown. The veal came out with marinara instead. Waiter argued that he asked and was told the vodka was only for the pasta. Which I feel if the music wasnt set to 11 he might have heard correctly since the whole tabled affirmed the person had asked, and verified, to have the sauce switched on both. I heard no offer to refire it from the waiter after this was pointed out. (Edit, I was informed by someone sitting closer he did ask and the diner declined so as not to hold up dinner. I just couldnt hear over the atmosphere)He just argued that it was only for the pasta. That said the dish was cooked well.General checkup on the table to top off drinks was average.Time to wait for them to come back to check if we wanted the check was a bit longer than average.The last surprises of disappointment of the experience was when we received the check. $3 to switch to the vodka sauce seemed a bit much. It was expected since the waiter mentioned it though. I did wonder if it would have been $6 if it had been swapped on the veal as requested.And seeing an included gratuity on the bill for a party of 4 caught me like a ball upside the head out of left field since at no point was it mentioned or printed anywhere. No additional tip was left since they reaped the amount they felt due.All told 2/5. Wouldnt recommend or return. Ive been to better Italian, or even fusion, places in NYC. Ill find another one next time.

First visit was on Cinco de Mayo. Service was slow, but the atmosphere was good. We had tacos and margaritas. Second visit was for 75 cent wings which they have every Wednesday from 4-11p at the bar. Tried all flavors (buffalo, honey and teriyaki). Pretty good. Honey was my favorite. The teriyaki was a bit too salty for my taste. Buffalo was...buffalo 🤷🏾. Casual atmosphere. Will definitely visit again to try out $1 Taco Tuesdays.

Love their food especially the shrimp Parmesan. The service the last time I was there it was terrible my second pitcher of sangria was water down

Ive ordered from this restaurant in grubhub but I must leave a review here as well. Food tastes delicious!! I recommend the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. Im usually not a big fan of alfredo sauce and probably liked it from one other person that made a dish with it. This alfredo is amazing. I recently tried their lobster ravioli and I also must recommend this!! Like real lobster in this and also in the sauce. Their garlic bread is great as well. Definitely looking forward to trying other menu items!! Definitely worth the 5 stars given here!!!!

Great food. Service stinks in the weekend. Waited 20 minutes for a drink. The person handling the bar was very busy talking to her friend. I guess bringing in money for the establishment is not a priority while working.

This one star is based off of my last time here which was 6/29. I come at least 2 to 3 times a week and order the same thing. so much so that when the bartenders see me they know exactly what i want. On this day it was slow i was only one at the bar waiting to be serviced. Not paying attention to any one particular thing i hear hello hello are you gonna order something I turn and theres this short white lady who ive seen on my plenty of my visits here ( but never personally interacted with) . what happen to can i help you or what would you be having today. The entire staff is latin ( from what i see) with the exception of this one white lady which tells me she is the owner or very close to the owners or family of the owner etc. . I usually stay and have a beer while i eat but now im annoyed because of her approach, so i ordered my wings to go. At the same time a young white women walks in and sits at a table by the window thats by the bar. The same short white lady comes from behind the bar and gives her a menu etc. there was no hello hello are you gonna order something from across the bar she gave her the up most respect now i feel like its racial and i really wanna leave. ( and yes im a big black guy 6ft 2 240 plus LBS). My food came and i ask the bartender how much he said $10. i gave him my money and left. About 20 seconds later same white lady runs out and tells me i didnt pay i says yes i did he said $10 i gave him $10 she said its $10.83 ....wow.. you chased me down for .83 ? i gave her dollar ...maybe i shouldve chase her down for my .17 cents change. This is not the first time she said something that made me feel uncomfortable. i remember my first day at this place i ordered a hennessy and she came over to me and said he gave you too much im just letting you know so you dont expect the same amount next time who does that ?. Carlos is a great server from day one when first heard about the wings ive been here 2 3 times a week.

Very good Penne Ala Vodka. The bread was fresh and crunchy. Everything was on point. Online menu prices are not accurate though.

Well lets start by saying Italian food is not even close of being served here never buy anything you think or says Italian please just order the basic its a Spanish place fyi I am Spanish so I know the difference I am so let down how I was tricked in to thinking real italian cuisine existed in Washington heights .please dont waste your time.

I came here on reservation for a birthday and the bartender gave me with an attitude when I simply asked politely if she can add alcohol to my piña colada.

Visited on a Wednesday evening, No AC, weak margaritas, no tissue in ladies bathroom, bar area very small.

Love this little place! Customer service is top notch, food + cocktails are great, and prices are very affordable for NYC! My boyfriend and I enjoy it so much here that we come every 1-2 weeks =] Although they primarily serve italian cuisine, their quesadillas and nachos are pretty darn good as well. We will continue to come back and encourage others to come check it out as well.

Love the Clams Casino for apps and the Filet with Penne Vodka for dinner with a glass of Cab... I enjoy the same dish every time!

Becoming one of Wash Hts. biggest karaoke communities. Food is great. decent portions for a great price. Diverse menu options. Not the most proficient or stocked bar but if youre partial to margaritas, this is the spot for you. Welcoming to even the least spanish speaking patrons (i swear, Im working on it)

Great food and drinks at inexpensive prices! Could easily spend several hours there.

We have been going there often coz the food is delicious and the service is fast and the staff are great . But that afternoon, it was just too noisy with all the customers that friday they were all talking so loud even if the music in the restaurant was low in volume. It was just too much. When we stepped out of the restaurant after our meal, broadway Avenue was more pleasant even with the number of cars passing and people outside. Thats how loud it was inside.

Terrible. I ordered chicken parmasean and the chicken was burnt and they tried to hide it with the melted cheese on top.

This is easily the worst Italian restaurant in NYC. Spaghetti wasnt cooked and meat tasted weird. Like every other restaurant in Washington heights, nobody spoke English.

Tastes like you can make it at home in the worst way I can use that. The pasta is 100% something you can buy at the grocery nearby, even the tortellini. Its also strangely not very spiced and with a very bland taste.

Gave him his tip.My order arrived cold. $15. plus tip.If the order was carried in an insulated bag it would not have happened.Not delivery guy’s fault. The owner is responsible for quality of service and customer satisfaction.I have ordered from many restaurants. Some from down the block to others a distance away.None have come totally cold as this order did.CAVEAT EMPTOR!

This restaurant was fantastic!! Great, friendly service and the food was incredible!! I had the chicken parmesan and a salad. It was tons of food and so delicious!! The marinara sauce was absolutely delicious and the chicken was delicious and tender!! I highly recommend this terrific Italian restaurant!!

Good for cocktails, but beer is warm.

Had a great order of Angel Hair pasta with red sauce. It was delicious and the take out guy arrived quickly. I recommend.

They have automatic tipping disguised as a service fee, and an additional convenience fee of $7 if you do not pay with cash! Mandatory tipping in any form is illegal in NY state. And if you want customers to only pay in cash and not be penalized for using a credit card, make it a cash only business! Ordered the lasagna, it was heated up in a microwave and the center was still cold. Very disappointing! Thus the one star review.

We ordered pork chops, calamari, a chicken quesadilla, and spaghetti. The chicken quesadilla was not bad but the food overall was unbelievably sub par. I just dont understand how people are okay with serving food of that quality with the prices they have. Nothing had any flavor, and the calamari did not taste right at all. Would not return, and it blows my mind that this place is in business in NYC.

Ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, and the Picadera (Small) and it wasnt as expected, it was neutral. Although, The Picadera only had 2 shrimps, the pasta was neutral, not the best Ive ever tried, but it had a lot of Alfredo sauce and no Parmesan cheese. The prices were actually accessible, 11$ for a pasta is really cheap, so i think it is worth the price

The food is great! I love the Calamaris and the chicken parmigiana, the delivery is also fast in 30 minutes or less you got your food on your door! The prices are fair.

If you ever find your self pondering the Washington heights neighborhood of upper Manhattan this is a place to check out.They have a buffet menu in the front but skip that and get a table and get everything. Ade fresh. Let me start by saying these people made me smile by making me the most delicious Pina Colada although it wasnt resort size lol. The back dining area gives you s feel like you are in carlito brigantes club with the dj playlist of batchata and salsa hits. Its nice while you wait for your food. I ordered the fried fish and Dominican house salad. It was fresh refreshing and it hit the spot. Although I wished I ordered more I will return.

I went in for take out. Wait over 40 minutes. I asked the lady there about it and she got annoyed by me asking for my order. The lady bagged it did it so badly that the sauce spilled into the bag and bread. It tasted so bland and I use to love their spinach penne with chicken. I had to throw it out. I don’t know what happened to the customer service. I won’t be coming here anymore and I have been coming here for years.

My friend and I go out to eat A LOT. Since we are in our early 20s servers usually tend to ignore us or not care about our needs. Our server at Aquamarina was amazing, answered all of our questions and easily gave us one of the best experiences at a restaurant. The food was fantastic! Easily one of the best Alfredo sauces out there. I live in upstate new York and I know I will definitely be coming back to eat here again. Thank you Carlos!

I had the seafood Alfredo. Pasta should be tossed in Alfredo not swimming in it. My boyfriend got the veal and it was beyond salty. Even the margarita with no salt I ordered tasted salty. The tiramisu was good!Edit: I went back for lunch and got the chicken parm. I actually really enjoyed it and the wine was inexpensive. Lots of food. A much better experience than the first.

I took a chance on this restaurant not knowing the area well. After checking my credit card statement, I noticed a charge to McDonalds. That charge was posted just a few minutes after I handed my credit card over to pay my bill at Aquamarina. The McDonalds where my chip was read is just a few doors down. Im disgusted by this. I was traveling alone, so perhaps staff thought it would be okay??? or maybe they dont like the food at the restaurant and needed a bite to eat. There are other restaurants in the area. Try those.

Well let me start by saying I called 2 hours before I arrived to make sure We can get a spot where don’t get burned out by the sun, I was told no to worry about a thing! The whole sitting area outside was perfectly cover ( lies) as soon as I got there I was placed in the worst spot of the whole establishment! So when I questioned the waiter oh lord ! Nasty attitude and all went down the hill after that, service was atrocious! The wings I order were horrible I calós say the worst wings I had in my entire life! The margaritas were made by a someone who’s never done margaritas before, no salt or lime just this water down lime juice with the cheapest tequilita in the market.. incredible what a horrible experience!!! I would not recommend this place at all .. and cherry on top I was over charged for 5 margaritas and 6 chicken wings $119 crazy !!!

We have ordered from AquaMarina many times even during the pandemic. We try to support the local restaurants because times are difficult. Up until today we have had no problems and have enjoyed their food. That all ended when I placed an order for delivery of chicken wings. I specifically said NOT SPICEY because I’m allergic and I can’t eat hot spicey food. When the order came is was extra spicey and swimming in hot sauce. I called and requested a replacement and was told NO that’s how I ordered it and it can’t be changed. I know I’d never order anything spicey and considering how loyal we’ve been in supporting their business I’m VERY disappointed in the service we received today. What a lovely spot for a bargain lunch! Its about a 5 minute walk from the 168th Street A station. While its a latin neighborhood, its good old Italian fare at a great price point. And happy hour is to die for - frozen margaritas are my favorite. My spouse seriously likes their sliders...evert time we go, so far!
