I personally didnt like the taste of the cocktail (Mexican Firing Squad Special) and I wish I would have gotten a nice glass but the location is amazing as well as the view
I dont know what all these horrible reviews are about. This is one of the chicest, sexy, grown vibes roof tops in nyc with really nice drinks. I will say the tiny bite are a 6/10. The views are 10/10
Such a great place to relax after tough week. Great service and atmosphere, I want to thank George for making our experience very unforgettable. His attention and kind approach made us feel like valued guests. He is an absolute star! 🌟
Decent views from the Rooftop and a good setting overall. The drinks took forever. The first round took 25-30min and we almost left, but decided to try again. After commenting about it, the second round still took 20-25min.Not sure if there were staffing issues, but nothing was communicated. The cocktails did taste great, but I wont be going back.
First I would like to say, beautiful view and perfect location. However the service was one of the worst Ive ever experienced. We waited 40 minutes for 3 beverages, only after asking 3 times we got our order, one of the drinks was room tempature
Location is fantastic ,the skyline amazing.Staff super kind and professional andCocktail very refined. The aperitive here has been a lovely esperience althought i have been locked in the toilette for 20 min. Due to broken handle . Suggestion to improve: renewal of the restrooms.
Great place! Best views and good prices
Service was terrible. Not a single person checked on us after drinks were delivered. Beautiful views, but service is lacking. Strawberry wine tastes like jet fuel. Not a single offer for a second drink by wait staff. Find another rooftop bar to go to.
Staff is attentive, they must have read reviews and changed things. Good flavorful drinks, Latin flavors
The food was terrible. Took over 30 minutes to get two tacos. The view was amazing of course but not worth anything else. They have two things on their menu- I wish I would’ve liked it. Money poorly spent.
The place is really beautiful but the service was terrible. I went with some friends and the waiter didnt even bother to bring us the menu and took 15 minutes to bring us the glasses for the water, we ordered a guacamole to share and it never arrived, when we asked her about the cocktails (after 30 minutes) he completely ignored us.What a lousy attitude.
Nice little bar on top of the Grayson hotel, good mezcal selection and well maid cocktails.
Amazing views, especially for sunset! Good drinks and atmosphere!Thank you!
Incredible views, good small plates. They didn’t have a mocktail listed on the menu, but made me a pineapple mojito on request which was delicious. Had vegetarian quesadillas and empanadas, both of which were good. Cute and courteous staff too!
Calling it right now - the next best rooftop bar in NYC! 360-degree panoramic views from the Hudson to the east river and all the glorious city lights in between. Sultry chic indoor setting that will be perfect for closing deals romantically and business-wise. Expansive outdoor rooftop a stone’s throw from Bryant Park so an incredible place for work happy hours and entertaining clients. A fantastic mezcal selection for both the mezcal-curious and seasoned aficionados alike! Thoughtful, unique, unparalleled!
Beautiful vistas. Extremely engaging and delightful staff. Giorgi was the consummate professional. He was quite proactive in ensuring all our needs were met. He went above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience.
Lovely rooftop and great drinks! However, I unfortunately can also confirm the service could’ve been better.Upon asking to close the current tab and re-open a new one (since part of the party was paying and leaving) the waitress sighed and said no because she had people waiting for the table and walked away…The tone was rude and it could’ve been handled better as we were still a large party looking to continue consuming not only drinks but food as well.Hoping staff gets re-trained or changed because I’d love to go back.
Beautiful place and beautiful view. It lacks ambience. The drinks could be a bit stronger.
We were staying at the Grayson hotel we went to the CIMA Outdoor patio, sat down. We were told that all the couches and tables were reserved yet there was no one there. We wanted to have one drink before we went to bed and she told us we can go inside or leave. 9:30pm 7/20/2024
Drinks where okay for some. Service was okay. The only thing was we ordered a Rosita and it tasted like medicine. We told the waitress and got another drink. We did attempt to drink it as it was not going to be waived but it was to nasty. The waitress didn’t really say anything or try to make the situation better. Over all I won’t be going back. We had gone to 250 rooftop before this and the service was amazing.
Bar Cima is hands down one of my fav spots to kick off the night!! With breathe taking views of the city skyline and a cool laid back ambiance. This bar makes you feel right at home. But honestly what really has me going back is the amazing hostess and waitstaff. They were all so attentive and caring. Marina treated me as if I were family. Giving me great drink and food recommendations all while being extremely attentive and patient with my constant questions and comments. I refuse to sit anywhere other than her section. If you’re around the Bryant park area this place is a must. Ask for Marina you will not go wrong!!
Had drinks and some snacks here before seeing a show recently. Great location for spectacular views of the city. Our server, Christina, was attentive and knew her stuff. She was able to recommend a fabulous mezcal. And the house drink is awesome! Will definitely be back!
Come for the views and nothing else. I had high hopes for this bar and the view of the city really is beautiful but the service is god awful. When we came in with our reservation no one came to greet us, so we instead wandered over to the bar to ask for service, at which point a waitress got up from sitting on the couch on her phone to seat us.After getting seated at a table that hadn’t even been wiped down we then waited 30 minutes before getting our first drinks when the indoor seating was completely empty and outdoor seating had only a few tables occupied. It was then another hour wait just to get a second drink.I can’t say whether the two waitresses and bartender are inexperienced or simply understaffed but either way terrible management completely ruined what should’ve been a nice night out with a great view. It’s honestly sad to see more tables covered in dirty glasses than actually filled with guests enjoying their time.
I wrote a review on open table a few months ago about the disappointment my party had when we showed up for a Dia de los muerto/ Halloween themed night to find it not decorated and for the servers to not know about the specials that were advised. I was pleased by the response by the bar to send me and email to reach out to, but my email to [email protected] was redirected because it was not real! I loved my first experience going to Bar Cima but this is super upsetting.
Fun rooftop (indoor and outdoor), drinks were super tasty, food/appetizers were just ok. Spectacular view, good place for a date or night out with friends.
We had our team holiday event here and it was great!
Not too many food options. A lot of mezcal and tequila.
Nice location, beautiful ambience and views. Drinks were good but not many food options
Bar Cima is one of the BEST rooftop bars in the city! Laura is the BEST server there is! Funny, quick witted, excellent service, attentive and great recommendations for drinks! Laura remembered my friend’s names after the first time meeting them ❤️❤️
Beautiful place, amazing views, average cocktails. This is a bar so do not expect any food. Just snacks. Guacamole was fresh. Good service
Makes sense why the ratings here are not great. Undisciplined staff, bartender is very slow making drinks. Just vert subpar for a great location
Laura was a great. She delivered drinks with a smile and an upbeat personality. She remembered our names and was very attentive. Look forward to visiting again because of her.
Walked in with a group of 4. Requested to be seated outside. Was told to sit inside and order cocktails and then we could sit outside once it opened up. Once seats opened, we were then told they aren’t sitting anyone outside for the rest of the night. Had they told us this originally we would’ve never ordered the first round of drinks. Also, tip was included and they did not tell us this. Be cautious.
Great atmosphere and the staff is amazing! I tried 3 different drinks and I was highly satisfied. I recommend the Habitant, Oaxacan Old Fashioned, and the Chilango.
Great rooftop bar with amazing views of NYC. Perfect place for Date Nights. For sure will be one of the best places for having drinks and enjoying the view’s of Empire State.
Definitely is gonna be in the list of my favorite rooftop bar in New York.I love this place the service is very nice super friendly the hostess our waitress they made us feel very welcome and also they have a nice selection of mezcal.I highly recommend this place was my first time here but definitely no the last one.GraciasI wish I can post a video of your rooftop.
This new rooftop bar is located at Grayson Hotel and features and indoor area - facing the Empire State Building - and a beautiful open terrace. This is a sophisticated destination mezcaleria and the highlights are the delicious Mezcal based cocktails - of course, they have other cocktails as well. If you love Mezcal, there are a lot to try, including Mezcal flights. I wished they have more Food options - there are only three, including hummus and guacamole, but very tasty! Love the vibes and the views. Definitely recommend!
I am obsessed with Bar Cima, you must check-out this spot! Located in the Grayson Hotel, this bar has a great selection of mezcal-based cocktails (their Spicy Paloma is SO good, its my favorite). The location is perfect - theyre situated near Bryant Park in Midtown (off 39th), without being right in the midst of the Times Squares chaos that grows as you move closer to 42nd Street. The staff here are kind + accommodating and the views from the bar are incredible. From indoors, you can see the Empire State Building & One World Trade Center. Their outdoor deck is really lovely, too! The space outside offers great views of One Vanderbilt. I cannot recommend this place enough, I will absolutely be back!
Visited in August 2024, for 3 times during our 6 days stay... Nice views, nice service, particularly liked the informal atmosphere, music choice (classic 80s 90s 00s hits) and friendly staff. Special thanks to George for outstanding service.
View is pretty good but the option is so limited - only alcoholic drinks on the menu, and not a lot of variety. No snack or other drink options on the menu.Service is pretty basic. Nothing I would look forward to next time.
Our waitress Mariana was so sweet and attentive!
Bar Cima undoubtly has amazing views and a beautiful aesthetic to it, however it failed to impress me and my group even slightly with both service and drinks. After trying 5 different cocktails none of them really shined as a great drink. We had to wait a decently long time for our drinks considering the place was not at all busy when we went and despite it being only 7pm they had run out of ingredients for some of their cocktails. Overall it seems like an amazing location with pretty average drinks and service.
Relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful view. My boyfriend and I had an amazing evening in this cool place. Giorgi was our server. He was very nice and made our experience even better. We definitely come back!
To mirror other reviews, the city views and the drinks are not bad, but the service is MUCH to be desired. I cannot stress that enough. My wife and I ordered a simple chips and guac, but had to cancel the order after 45 minutes waiting and seeing other tables receiving their food.Furthermore, our server kept checking on other tables and not once checked on us after our drinks were delivered.I had to call the bus boy to get our server to get us our tab.Spend your $ elsewhere.
Great views, great cocktails and yummy apps. We did a work event here and Alon was so easy to work with!
Great north facing outdoor views and interesting mezcal themed drinks. No food or bites however. South facing indoor space a bit crowded.
Arrived at 10:40pm after being told the bar was open until midnight to be told the bar is closed when servers were serving others drinks. Disappointing to say the least, especially as a loyal Hyatt member..
The service doesn’t exist here!Drinks being served in plastic cups, I’ve got my cocktail in dirty cup(someone’s lipstick). It’s disgusting. Nothing special.Spoke to manager of the place over email, got promise for the call-never happened.
Beautiful but okay drinks! Easy to get to and we got in for happy hour!
Needs some marketing!! We stayed in the hotel and just meandered upstairs one day. Awesome view of the Empire State Building on way (indoors) and open patio outdoors facing Bryant park. Great menu, free pork rinds to snack on and wonderful cocktails.
I was here twice in January, so I thought it would be a good place to celebrate my graduation now in May. The restrooms were disgusting, filthy, there was no paper towel nor air dryer for the hands working. It took hours to order, ask for the bill and then pay. I could be ok with having water served in plastic cups, but not the cocktails.
Great service, views, best specialty margaritas.
Unfortunately, I have to revise my rating. My family’s experience at Bar Cima was aggressively unfriendly, and the manager is on a power trip that leaves the service staff scared and patrons getting yelled at for walking to the balcony, and waiting for drinks at the bar.If you’re going to be confusing and punitive, do it nicely and understand that this bar has ridiculous rules. And get new management ASAP
Excellent night view for New York City!
Excellent view and great drinks
Great drinks, food portion sizes need some work for the price being asked. Great place for drinks and atmosphere, eat somewhere else
Awesome rooftop
Stellar yet low key rooftop very close to / adjacent to bryant park - with solid drinks and small menu.great option for pre-theatre on a pretty day, server was friendly and guac / chips were tasty.mezcal cocktail was delish despite $20 price tag.two drinks + guac / chips + 20% tip = $72inflation is a b*%#ch but it is what it is - so all things considered, bar cima is a 👍🏻
Great place to have a drink and see the city lights. Cheaper then Empire State Building tickets and no crowds 😂 There is an indoor bar with Empire State Building view and an outdoor terrace with the other side of the city view - you can see Bryant Park Hotel and a small sliver of Bryant Park. If you like mescal and tequila - they have a huge menu. Other drinks are there too. I will come back next time I visit NY!
The snacks and bar bites menu is limited but a nice location and good drinks menu. Nice place to hang out
Serg was amazing! Promote him today!! We will be back 😊
Great views, nice outside sitting. However the place needs some changes: particularly there was no any background music playing, which is kinda odd for a typical NYC rooftop, also menu needs to be upgraded, there are no any bites to order with the drinks, like small plates, some finger foods maybe? I would still go back for a relaxed atmosphere and really nice views, but seriously having such a gorgeous space and not making it real cool is non justifiable. Please upgrade the vibe:)
Great rooftop views; enjoyed the mezcal flight; very chill vibe around 6pm
Food and service were both great! William took great care of us.
Went here to celebrate my and my best friend’s birthdays last night and Kira was amazing! Friendly, helpful and warm to match the aesthetic of this lowkey gem of a place. Loved the decor and the cute little rooftop. I will definitely be back!
Beautiful place. Loved the ambiance, perfect place to go on a first date.
Perfect ambience and excellent service, it’s definitely a hidden gem in the city
If you don’t go for the view, then go for the excellent service from Adisa and team at Bar Cima and Grayson Hotel. Not only did they provide exceptional service and made us feel at home, but they also left a gift to thank us for spending the night with them. Couldn’t recommend this venue more highly!
I had one of the best experiences with my family & friends thanks to Gardenia & Mike last Monday! I’m so happy they attended all of our needs! Definitely recommend having them both!!
We were expecting great service from them but it wasn’t. We arrived and waited to be seated. After, no waitress/host looked our way. We had to call them to attend to us. They brought water, which these could have asked if we wanted tap water or bottle water, rather brought bottle water. They were short of menus, meaning the waitress had to look for one. We sat there for more than 20 minutes and no one asked what we wanted. This is very sad experience considering it’s a new place. My friend and I left to a different restaurant.
Extremely unprofessional. We had a reservation for 4 only to be called 3 hours in advance that they could not honor it due to a private buyout. When I went to check if there was another time available they had availability all night. I am always thrown off by places like this that have zero regard for people who just want to give this place a chance. We don’t care about last minute buyouts. if you are going to cancel our reservation last minute at least give us an option to try the place another time. So rude and already leaves a bad impression. You’re better off going to other rooftops that are close to this one such as refinery rooftop. At least they honor your reservation.
Gorgeous views of the Bryant Park area and craft cocktails were incredible! They were overbooked but Sheena the hostess was SO SO NICE during such a hectic time and squeezed together an area for us to sit! We will definitely be coming back.
Amazing rooftop with east and west facing views
Fantastic place but horrible service, rude waitress.
Beautiful view but waited forever for drinks - after being ignored by the waitress for 30 minutes and watching everyone around us who ordered after us get theirs we were told it would be “a while” still - no apology from the staff, we left to make it to our dinner reservation on time. Disappointing experience especially considering we are guests at the hotel.
Racism happen there and the way staff handle it is to ask victims to move table and buy the drinks to stay silent
Overall I had a great time here. The views and atmosphere after work is incredible however, I was served the wrong drink with no offer to correct it after I raised the issue.
This bar is so beautiful and has amazing views, sure to be a very popular place very quickly!
Great views and cozy atmosphere.
Great food and great service!
Unbeatable Views
Wonderful view from CIMA, Rooftop of the Grayson hotel, if you are not a guest of the hotel I recommend booking. The best service.
I left MaM at 6 p.m. because New York never sleeps but its cultural life does. I was with my date so I said to him, come Ill take you to the wind, Ill take you above the people. In addition, its a 13-minute walk, so head to the Cima bar that I had spotted a few days before. You have to go through the hotel, so reassure the date that youre just going to the hotel bar. We take the elevator battery and hop to the top. There, its the wow effect, bam in your face the empire state building. And twilight over New Angoulême. Then a terrace on the other side to take little selfies with your hair blowing in the wind. You can drink beer and cocktails there depending on your partners mood.I think its cheaper than paying for a top of the rock type platform and whats more you drink and you have peace of mind to pack your date without the dozens of tourists. Especially Italian tourists, I cant see them anymore. In short, I recommend.
Very good drinks and attention. Tremendous views!
