Great selection. They were really busy and I was treated pretty rudely by the cashier. He seemed like a decent guy, though, just overwhelmed. If I go again and am treated the same way I’ll lower the review and won’t go anymore.

They have a very good selection of beers with some of the rare ones as well. Price will be on the higher side though, go here to get the ones you wont get anywhere

Honestly, a great find here in Manhattan. After searching through several stores to only find IPAs and sours, etc, I stumbled across this place on Google Its super hard to find dark beers during the summer anywhere in stores, and they had a ton here. Ended up buying 10 different beers and will definitely go back.

Friendly bartender and owner with knowledge to spare! I spent a couple of hours here waiting for my departure at LGA. PLENTY of beer and cider options to go around. Glad I stumbled across this hidden gem!

I love this place! They have regular beer tastings with fantastic choices. Their beer selection and rotation of selections (I would know I stop by pretty often) is great. I can always find something new to satisfy my palate. it’s also in a great spot to grab a drink on the way to the park by the water.

This is my favorite craft beer store in the city! Its such a nice aggregate of both local and international beers. Its easy to navigate to different types of brews to satisfy each current craving. Ive discovered many awesome breweries because of City Swiggers. Once the pandemic ends, Ill gladly frequent this place with friends to sample even more from their stores.

I love this place!! They have a huge variety (much more than any other similar type of shop I’ve visited in Manhattan), and their prices are super reasonable (note: $10 credit card minimum, and I think the corking fee is $3 if you want to drink bottles/cans you buy while there). Personally, I don’t like beer, so I go here for ciders because they always have a large selection (again, more cider variety than most other retailers/groceries in the city). Plus, they do free tastings most Wednesday’s & Fridays!

My favorite places to get beer in NYC. Honestly, just one of my places period. An unbeatable selection of beers both domestic and imported. The only way I can describe it is the perfect combination of a bottle shop mixed with a cafe.

Excellent neighborhood craft beer store & tasting spot. Their selection is constantly updated with fine brews of all styles from local, national, and global breweries. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. Dont be shy about asking for recommendations.I discovered this place during the coronavirus pandemic so unfortunately tasting events had not been going on but I cant wait for things to settle down so I can attend one.

Whenever Im in the neighborhood I drop by for a few beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. I have engaged in conversations with the bartender and other customers. I enjoy trying the different beers ontap, which they will let you sample. The selection of food is limited and the bottled beers for sale are expensive. If you want to drink a bottled beer onsite there is a $3 dollar fee. Overall I like City Swiggers, and will go back and recommend them to friends.

This is a great spot to find a hard to get bottle or a few cans for the park. The staff are eclectic and friendly. Swiggers also has a rotating tap list (14 at a time) featuring some great beers and ciders. Recently, they have tastings from small to large breweries a few times a week. It’s a great place if you’re looking for a new style or new to the neighborhood and tired of the old bodega IPAs.

Impressive selection. Stumbled upon it on the way home from an event. Unfortunately, they were closing soon, but I would definitely like to come back again and shop for even longer. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend for any real beer lover.

The crew is friendly, knowledgeable, and engaged. The tap list is well curated, but the growler pricing is rarely a good value, and the tasting bar has no knee room, so its the bottle and can selection that is the real gem here.

For those of you tired of the usual beer selection one sees in bars and stores, this place is for you. They have a bevy of craft beers to chose from as well more well known beer brewers lesser known or found beers. On top of all of this, there is a small bar area for you to order from their drafts which you can order to go in a growler or grab a few and sit down and enjoy the art on the walls curated and created by the staff of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (yes, not only to they protect and curate art in that fine institution, but some of them create their own art which is finely displayed on this locations walls). If you are always wanting to try new beers, this is the place for you.

Awesome idea, and I look forward to seeing how it grows. I went with a friend who lives down the block (lucky guy) a few weeks ago. I was blown away by the selection of beers they carried. You can mix and match as you see fit, which is great for trying new beers without having to commit to drinking six of them. There is a bar area with several draft beers, which you can either take with you in growlers, or enjoy right on the premises. The bar area felt a little under developed at the time. The place is definitely more store than bar, but Im curious and optimistic about its future.

This has a huge bottle selection in the front and more cider than I can find anywhere else in the upper East side. The tap list is good too and the bartender is very knowledgeable about everything they sell. They usually have tastings on Wednesdays and Fridays for new breweries.

Search by origin or style. Something look interesting on tap? Have a sample and expand those horizons. Youre more than likely to end up getting suggestions from the beer geeks willing to pass on knowledge.Its a candy store. Except they sell beer.

Excellent selection that is both broad and deep. Tons of local craft stuff, domestic craft, as well as an impressive import selection. Esoteric and varied draft selection as well. Reasonable corkage fee means that even if you arent thrilled with the draft selection, youll find some bottle or can that is of interest to you.

I spent the recent blizzard (Jonas) here with a friend and we had a blast! We tried the beer flight and then moved on to find some delicious cider in their selection. There was a LOT of different beers to try and some delicious empanadas. Their bathroom needed some cleaning, but then again we were in the middle of a blizzard so I wasnt even expecting to find this great place!

Weve been in the neighborhood for a year but never came here. We will now visit every Sunday! They have beers from every region you can think of. Theyre very knowledgeable and dont have any chip on their shoulder (unlike most places in Manhattan)

One of the best additions to Yorkville in ages. Great beer and great people. Looking forward to enjoying a pint at their bar again soon. Until then Ill have to satisfy my craving with my carefully hoarded purchases.

This place is fantastic except for this one bartender/cashier.Extremely rude. I accidentally sat somewhere I wasn’t suppose to and he was very very rude about it. He is not what customer service is suppose to be like. Very unprofessional. He has a beard and wears transition lenses and a blue trucker hat. Avoid when he is there. Very unfriendly. All the other staff members here are fantastic, why can he not follow suit.

A cigar lounge type place, but for the craft beer lovers. where else can you pick off of a wall of hundreds of different bottles and drink on spot. Cant go wrong. Plus they do get some exclusives and reserves that most places dont in Manhattan.

This is the place to get beer. You can hang out here or just take the beers to go-- but youre not gonna find all these special beers anywhere else-- at least not anywhere near here. Just get so e quality beer and drink less. No I dont agree with shooting bud light, but I do agree that you can do better and do deserve better, no matter who you are. Try something new

Great selection, always a crowd. The shelves could be better organized and you have to pay extra if you want to drink your purchase at the bar. The selection is very trendy - IPAs, saisons, and various sours (geuze, wild ales) abound.

Great place to find some eclectic brews, foreign and domestic. Plenty of your common mainstays as well. Geared towards mixed singles (bottles and cans) purchases. Can chill out and drink on site as well. Be prepared to put a dent in your wallet. Its always hard to limit my selection.

If youre into craft beer, Cityswiggers is your safe haven on the Upper East Side. Theyve got some 600+ beers on the shelves, allowing you to literally try something different every time you walk in there. They also change up the beers on tap each week so you and your buddies can grab a flight each week after work.

Staff are very helpful. Good selection of craft beers. My only wish is that it was alphabetized by brewery or something. It can take a while to find what you are looking for on your own.

Everyone here seems pretty tight-knit and theres a good beer selection. We came late to meet with friends, so I likely wasnt getting the full experience, but what I had, I liked.

I bring people to this little hidden gem often - a non-corporate beer tasting/browsing/drinking haven. Save the $3 per drink corkage fee (I find this odd... why not just up prices by $.75 to pay staff?) and get one of the tasty rotating taps and take cans home.

We stopped by and it was a great idea! they have a ton of bottles on display which we looked at for a while like a museum. they also have a small bar with taps available which was the main reason for the visit. the bartenders were awesome and we had great conversation with them. we did end up getting a couple bottles to go as well. cheers!

Great spot if youre into crafts. Ive been twice and the second time I asked how long its been there and the associate informed me that it had been there for eight years... 😲😲😲 That said, like I said before, if youre into crafts youll enjoy the shop. Its literally variety overload. The amount selection is incredibly vast. They have a few beers on tap and some seating towards the rear. A great place but my only ding, if you want to call it one is that the front of the location is a little dark but that just me.

Long time regular. Prices are good compared to similar places. Selection is hard to beat. The crowd tends to be on the older side, but usually a good vibe. All of the people that work here are awesome.

Love this place. There beer selection here is fantastic and they are always rotating through different beers as well (in addition to the normal holiday rotations that you would expect). There’s normally tastings twice a week as well. I’ve only gotta beers to go but they seem to have a good selection of drafts at the bar. If you want to drink one of the beers from the fridge or shelf you need to pay a corking fee (around $4 I believe).

Solid location to grab craft beer if you live in the neighborhood or are visiting the museums.The draft beer list isnt extensive but the options are fairly diverse, with a few fridges to choose from as well. The decor leaves a lot to be desired (think Good Beer in the East Village, but more room) and the $7 corking fee on bigger bottles is a bit of an anomaly, even in NYC.

One of the best kept secret/dive bars on the UES. They have a ton of canned/bottled beers that you can buy and drink there, AND 14 beers/ciders in tap. They rotate them regularly and on Wednesday’s have free tastings! This is a laid back atmosphere with 90’s grunge music playing, it’s one of my fave places to hang and bring friends in nyc.

Great place!! My only thing I’m concerned with is having beers that can spoil on the floor and not in the fridge such as Sip of sunshine. That beer even says “keep cold”. Makes me Leary to purchase certain beers here. NEIPAs are the only beer I’d be concerned about with that. Otherwise absolute amazing spot!!! I used to go to City Hops on 2nd and 63rd. This place blows them away and are much friendlier than that guy. If I could give 4.8 stars I would.

This place has an insane beer selection. You could probably drink a new beer once a day for a year and still not try them all. They also have Taos for draft beers to drink there and have free samples every now and then. It can be a little tough to find something if youre looking for it specifically, but maybe thats just to encourage you to try new things. It can also get a little claustrophobic inside at times and prices arent cheap - but thats NYC for you.

Lots of different singles you can try. They can be a bit expensive, but you can try a bunch of different beers without committing to a whole 4/6-pack, so it probably winds up being a wash in the long run.

Best selection of bottled/canned/growlered beers in the UES (at least, that I know of). Being a Michigan native, I appreciate the surprisingly good showing here, with even some of the lesser-known breweries like Jolly Pumpkin making an appearance. If youre looking for something specific, this is definitely a place to try.

Awful service and I will never go back again. The beer is over priced to begin with but that isnt the issue. Alan, who I think owns the joint refused to sell certain beers to us because he was said we werent regulars and didnt spend enough money to buy these rare beers. If you want certain selections of beer go somewhere else Alan has no interest in selling you beer unless you are regular who in his words spends $100 a week in here.

This shop has 900 types of local beer and 8000 types in stock! The owner can speak a little Japanese. The photo beer is recommended!You can also get a bottle of draft beer to take home! The bottle can be reused, so its eco-friendly!

A nice bar on the way, also for a meeting over a glass of fine beer. 12 beer cans, I really liked it, highly recommend it.
