I dont know why this place doesnt have better reviews. I was a bit reluctant before I went for the first time because the reviews were at 4.0. I had walked by the place and it looked nice from the outside, so I decided to try it even with a 4.0 review rating and I am really glad that I did, because it was great. We sat at the bar so we could sit side-by-side. We had the Trout and Fries. Both were done perfectly. Our server was one of the bartenders and was super. My wife doesnt eat onions or tomatoes and that can be hard sometimes to find a dish. The server took care to ensure my wifes order didnt have those ingredients and seemed genuinely interested in helping us have a great experience.I also think that potentially some of the bad ratings here are for a different restaurant than this one because the food shown in the photos doesnt look like what they serve here.I highly recommend this place. It was great all around.
Service: first breakfast experience, wasn’t greeted by anyone. A server did come out minutes after but just watched us, didn’t offer a menu or anything. Very awkward for guests.Food: it was ok. Fresh juice was good.Ambiance: nice
A Cozy Hideaway Near ChinatownWhen it comes to finding a delightful spot near Chinatown in NYC, this restaurant and bar hits the mark. The bar, in particular, is a real gem in terms of its location and cozy, comfortable decor.Location & Ambiance:Nestled near Chinatown, it provides a serene escape from the bustling streets. The interior exudes warmth and comfort, making it the perfect place to unwind.Service:The staff here is genuinely friendly, adding a welcoming touch to the overall experience. Theyre attentive and ensure you have a pleasant time.Menu & Prices:While the menu is filled with tempting options, its worth noting that the prices lean towards the higher side. Just be prepared for the bill at the end of your delightful meal.Cheers! 🍸🍽️
Had a fantastic dinner here over the weekend; food and service was excellent (Bryan was great). We were seated outside, but the inside does look a bit more intimate and inviting.Oysters Rockefeller, Caesar Salad, Tartare were all great starters to share. The Canard Rôti was a fantastic entree, cooked perfectly. We also tried the Chou Farci, which was different and tasty, but not as filling. The earl grey coconut cake with strawberry preserves was light excellent, and the rhubarb sorbet with basil oil had a salty and savory bite to it.
A wonderful place belonging to the hotel, so it opens very early in the morning. we had a lot breakfast/brunch items to share and can totally recommend the pancakes (which were not on the menu). we were also given the extra creme fraiche as requested.
This restaurant which is situated at the ground level of Nine Orchard hotel, is truly exceptional and warrants my highest recommendation. The chef not only masters the French classics to the letter but elevates them to a new level. The chicken paillard here is unparalleled — it’s the finest I’ve ever enjoyed, prepared with a meticulousness that borders on artistry. I recommend it for lunch as the menu changes according to each service. My culinary journey didn’t stop there; I’ve tried almost every dish on the menu, from the crisp Cesar salad to the rich gâteau au chocolat. Each item on the menu, either it’s from the breakfast, lunch or dinner menu, is a testament to flawless execution and a passion that’s palpable both behind the bar and in the kitchen. Speaking of the bar, Gabriel is an outstanding bartender whose company is always a delight. And then there’s Rachel, the knowledgeable and passionate manager, who ensures every dining experience is memorable. The ambiance here is akin to a spa for your taste buds, where every ingredient is carefully selected and presented on your plate with the utmost care. Almost forgot to talk about the wine, and of course their wine list is a absolutely remarkable. If you are staying in NYC
Stopped in here recently for a quick lunch, and was able to sit outside on the Allen St. sidewalk and enjoy the nice weather. The sidewalk tables are well shielded from the sun, and are mostly covered with awnings from above. The exterior of the hotel is nicely landscaped, which also provides some privacy between tables. My toddler and I split the saumon fume and a side of fries, both of which were excellent. The salmon came with an ample spread of creme fraiche, capers, and roe and was nicely presented. The wine by glass offerings are well priced with many options. Service was warm, friendly, and playful with my little guy, A great 3-meal option that stands out from others in the area. One thing to note is that they are closed between the end of breakfast and start of lunch 10:30a-12p), which isn’t obvious on their website.
Been 4 times since it has opened. Possibly my new favorite restaurant in the city for drinks/dinner at the bar. Not sure why reviews are saying staff is rude, I’ve always had an immaculate experience. It can get packed, with long waits just like any great NYC restaurant, so just make a reservation ahead of time. The lounge attached to Nine Orchard is also stunning, very very worth going to either before or after dinner.
Add this to your happy hour list, what more can you ask for a happy hour than chicken liver pate, burger, martinis and wine.
Absolute 10/10. Rachel and Jacqueline were so warm and wonderful. The food was incredible. Even if you’re full, there is definitely space for dessert. You won’t regret it.
I almost wanted to write Corner Bar a one star review with an explanation of my awesome experience (because I only read one star reviews) and after reading theirs I was about to cancel my reservation. I’m so glad I was in lured by their softserve and was able to experience an amazing September night dinner with kind and exceptional service. Cheers, give them a visit as the bad reviews just want to keep this place to themselves.
I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The Bucatini Pomodoro, Caesar salad, fries, and burger are all consistently excellent. The service is top-notch, the wine selection is one of the best if not my favorite in Manhattan. I never been disappointed in a bottle or a glass here. Bravo! As for the ambiance—whether in the bar or the dining room—is simply impeccable. Every detail is perfectly executed.
The food is great, the service is great, but the manager is super rude to good employees. The staff is so attentive but the manager is standing over their backs and making them uncomfy from my observation. His name is Chip and during a busy service he was standing over the employees backs and telling them to straighten out tkts?? Tip the staff well here because they have to deal with some terrible management.
Astonishingly friendly Barkeeper and really nice location. The tartar was also surprisingly good. Prices higher than i had expected in this area of town but reasonable. Recommendation
Maybe don’t come here for lunch. Seems wildly overrated to me. The food was tasty but it’s not totally exceptional. Oh also I made a 2:30 reservation because it was the only time available on resy and then was told the kitchen closes in 15 min. once we were sat.
Six long blue prawns make up the shrimp cocktail, and they are cooked exactly right (as they should be when a shrimp cocktail costs $35). Steamed in their shells, head and all, those prawns are also a highlight of the $85 plateau de fruits de mer, accompanied, when I had it, with shucked oysters, creamy marinated mussels, tiles of raw bluefin and sea trout, and half a small steamed lobster.
The food was over priced for the quality. One of the worst pieces of halibut I’ve had ($43) poached and over salted. The drinks were fine. It took over two hours to get seated at the bar.
This was our 2nd visit and unfortunately food and service was nothing like our 1st visit, especially at Nomad prices, $150 pp. We made a reservation one month prior for a table in the nicer back dining room for my wifes birthday, we had emails to prove it, but the manager dismissed us, was flat out rude, and put us in the front cafe area. Our compensation was an endive apetizer that I wouldnt recommend. A table of 6, we decided to go with the steak special, only it came out rare vs the medium we had requested. The waiter claimed he didnt hear our request, even though we were very clear about it. They took it back to continue cooking it, but the steak had already been sliced so you can imagine how our $200 steak turned out. Another issue I had was that the online menu clearly stated a duck entree but we arrived to be told that on this particular night they did not have it available. The overall presentation of the food was basic and bland. My wife was disappointed and we didnt order a birthday desert to celebrate. All in all, not worth the trek to chinatown.
Excellent. I’d especially be back for the great service.I popped in before a meeting for a latte but ended up eating. I ordered a burger & the manager was so gracious to add a small order of fries for me to try.The burger was really good. Prepared with the right amount of taste & toppings. It was the service that stood out to me. The way the manager or the lovely lady with dark hair took time to ask me about my day & preference was so good.I can’t wait to come back for dinner.Thank you.
Omg the chicken with mushrooms.
I think they got a new chef because the quality of food was not good. I ordered the ‘poisson’ and was served unseasoned, under cooked fish paired with flavorless leeks.
Not worth the hype. Incredibly overpriced. $62 for chicken? $185 for the steak special? We were freezing at dinner and had to ask for the air to be turned up. The drinks were delicious and service was amiable and quick - however the Caesar salad was incredibly overdressed - almost inedible. Ordered the steak au poivre - swimming in an overly sweet sauce. Cooked well but also could not finish it. The French fries were the best part of the meal - not the best sign when you wait over an hour and pay $150 per person. Only reason to eat here is if you’re staying at the hotel or stuck taking an out of town client fordinner.
Went for their happy hour in the middle of the day and was so happy to have one of the top 2 burgers in the city. I have been going to a lot of places to try their burgers and this is one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat is flavorful all the way through and cooked perfectly medium rare. The bun is great but their remoulade is amazing and is unbelievable. Perfect with their fries and their oysters were flying points from Maine which were creamy and tasty. Love this place and plan on being back again soon.
We came here for brunch, service was excellent and the corner burger was next level good! I recommend if you’re a fan of good eats and creative cocktails.
The first thing you will notice how charming and adorable the decor both indoor and out. The tables feel straight out of a French film and so this cafe culture at its best.Situated inside a hotel you can enter through the corner of Canal or through the hotel. I say come in through the corner and leave out the back. The food is simple and elegant. There are sufficient choices but not an abundance of options. Neither my guest or I wanted pasta for lunch so we were left only three options. We ordered the crudo, a club and the salad. Neither entree came with fries so we ordered them on the side. Everything was great and solid.Staff are charming and fun. All in all a great spot for lunch. The hotel also as a swanky cocktail lounge but you won’t get in without a reservation so if your planning a one two punch, in the evening best to come in to coordinate.
For these prices, I would have expected at least good food or good service. I read about it on a list of best breakfasts in NYC. Really disappointed with service; it was weird: our server corrected our French pronunciations, plopped a card reader on our table so that we could pay our own bills, and cleared our placemats in a pointed effort to tell us to leave less than an hour after sitting down). Food-wise, the brioche was greasy, cappuccino was meh, and the tap water tasted like it was freezer burnt, but the eggs were well-cooked.
Had breakfast here a few times and this is by far my favorite French toast in the city. Love the laid back atmosphere (me and my girls sat there for 3 hrs over breakfast, not interrupted or rushed by the staff once!!). Staff is great!! They forgot our coffee order, apologized multiple times and ended up not charging us for it at the end.I recommend this as a great brunch/breakfast spot to anyone I can + the hotel is gorgeous (for travelers or a lil staycation)
Snack Menu burger is Fantastic!!! I’m ready to try everything else.
The reports of the rudeness of the management are accurate - Ive never been spoken to like this as a paying customer before. 2 friends were going to join me for breakfast but I told them to meet me at Ludlow House instead. Its a shame as the décors great and one of the waiters was perfectly friendly, its just the manager who was unbearably snooty. The place was empty as well, its not as if they can afford to have such an attitude. Room for improvement ...
My husband and I live a few blocks from here. We’d tried to get a reservation several times but it was always unavailable so we were thrilled tonight when we saw a spot open for 5:30 pm. I had a work trip cancelled last minute so was able to make it to this impromptu date night. It’s doubtful we will go back - maybe if we have nowhere else to go and need a quick lunch. We ordered the Manhattans (v good), 2 steaks medium rare, a salad and fries. The steaks we buy upstate at Herringtons or Big Y are better than the steaks we got here. They came out v quickly, which makes us think they were already cooked and just warmed up. Both were definitely medium not close to rare. Steaks were small and pre-cut. I’m going to guess they were 8-12 oz at most. I’m guessing they were cooked so far because the meat was a bit sinewy. They were $65 each! Side salad was mixed greens - fine. Fries were great. I’ve heard so many great things about this place but it doesn’t live up to the hype. 3 manhattans, 2 steaks, 2 fries and 1 side salad -$244 before $50 tip. This meal should have cost around $150 for the quality we were served. The wait staff were v friendly and nice.
The $24 burger was about the size of a McDonalds hamburger and came with a dainty half pickle. (A handful of fries, ordered separately: $18!) Cocktails were nice but likewise overpriced. Most certainly not worth the bill.
Forget about a reservation, who has time for that? Show up an hour or so early, put your name down for the bar, go get a drink next door at the Swan Room (never had an issue walking in here), and then go have an incredible meal! Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in the city, there’s nothing groundbreaking about the dishes, they just do everything EXTREMELY WELL. There are a bunch of off menu items the bartender will try to sell you on, GET THEM. We got the Lamb, Steak Tartare, Squid Ink Pasta (off-menu). Ce magnifique!
I dunno. It was... okay? Nothing we ordered tasted bad, for sure. Some things were very good but nothing was out of this world delicious. I guess I dont really get the hype. In the absolute best food city in the world (fight me on it), I wouldnt put this on my list of absolute musts. But if you are staying at the hotel or you find yourself in the neighborhood, its a solid choice.
Was there yesterday and this place is something special. From the minute we walked in and was greeted by Jarod to our pastry desserts 🍮 recommended by Hannah, we had the best experience. Rebecca, Kim Alfonso and Chef Alice also deserve recognition. They are all sooooo kind and helpful and sweet and amazing reflections of this restauranteur’s brand. You’re fortunate to have them on your side. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how fantastic the food was. The BLT, and the burger 🍔 are exceptional and we can’t wait to go back and try other items. (We already made two more reservations). 🙃🥳
Everything was perfect except the attitude of the bar tenders‼️
I arrived early for my reservation but was able to wait at the bar. Bar seat was comfortable and my drink was excellent. Service at the bar and my table was very warm and friendly. Our table server was very helpful and recommended a great dessert (Crème brûlée). Burger is available for dinner but it is an off menu item. The special was a Truffle Tagliatelle with truffles from Burgundy, France.Another knockout from Ignacio Mattos. As good as Estela and Altro Paradiso, but a more relaxed atmosphere.
Great food/drinks, amazing hospitality, and comfortable space. They haven’t joined in on the horrible trend of playing crazy loud music so you can actually enjoy having a conversation without having to yell. It’s weird actually being able to hear what your dining companions are saying.
Absolutely outstanding, Ignacio Mattos and Team are masters of their craft.Do yourself the favor and treat your taste buds to wow 👌
Rude bartender. Never quite explained what the “limited menu” at 930pm meant other than “this is what we’re serving”. Thanks. We left and it only gave us an opportunity to revisit Cervo’s for what has always been AMAZING food and service. May never visit Corner Bar again.
Everything about this place I enjoyed! It is not a lounge. You can have a nice conversation without screaming... 😍😍😍
The menu is straightforward and extremely well executed. Get the roast chicken, and don’t miss their gorgeous desserts. Interiors are chic - book the dining room if you can. Service is notoriously inconsistent.
The burger was outstanding, the club sandwich delightful. It might be underrated in NYC, but it didnt quite convince me to make a return visit. Nonetheless, it was a decent experience.
Attention to detail is notable here, tip of the hat to the interior designer. Comfortable, great service and an excellent breakfast menu. All the right things in all the places.
Great dinner last night at CB. What a beautiful space. All the details are so well thought out. We sat the bar and had some great drinks (Negroni of the day was on draught!). I had a perfect dirty martini. The Caesar salad was divine. I would go here just for it. I had the mussels and my dining mates both had the lamb which they devoured. Crème brûlée for dessert was great. A really big portion. We didn’t have a res so put our name down for 45 minutes. A must go in Dimes Sq!
Host took our name and number down for dinner. Host said it shouldnt be that long. We went to grab a drink in their lounge bar while waiting. After 45 minutes we decided to leave. At this point the the restaurant was half empty. We asked the host what happened to our wait list? Host replied Oh the kitchen is closed now, I never guaranteed you a table. Thats NOT how a wait list works! Truly unprofessional.
This place is lit - not sure how it is possible that CB has the rating that it does. Never hurts to dine with a good attitude - you might be surprised that its you and not the food. Basically would live here if I could!!!
Very nice overall. They were short staffed so service was spoty, but the people were very nice. Food was good, menu was limited. Worth a repeat.
We just had drinks and dessert, but look forward to returning for dinner!
Ive been here 3 times since theyve opened (once for drinks and twice for dinner) and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite neighborhood spots. I always eat at the bar which I love. Staff is amazing, I love the vibe and the ambiance, and the food is phenomenal. Big shout out to Chef Jason Pfeifer for creating such a great menu .So far Ive had the oysters, the halibut (which is out of this world) and Ive tried 3 desserts - my fave being the tiramisu. I cant wait to work my way through the entire menu - the steak au poivre is next!! Oh and btw, their bread is delicious as well.
Very rude staff. There are plenty of other places to go in the neighborhood.
All the cocktails and food were executed perfectly. but more than that, their service was just *chefs kiss*. reminds me of what good hospitality used to truly be like in nyc. attentive, witty, engaging, professional but modern. but not overbearing. the perfect balance ❤️🔥almost didn’t wanna write this review in fear of the basics flocking there and ruining it, but might’ve already happened plus they don’t rly read anyway so… they deserve all the praise !! hope it stays this way forever
We had the perfect lunch at Corner Bar. The food and staff were all fantastic. Thanks you!
I love this place but I have to say the chicken club on the brunch menu is horrid. Over sauced so greasy. Just completely not it.
Looking forward to coming back for a proper full meal, but i had a BLT at the bar and it was great.
Went to the dining area in the back for the first time and although I didn’t order much, not sure the prices warranted the experience overall.
Just a very dismissive staff with racist overtones. The atmosphere was fair but the management needs some changes they should treat their guests of color with the same respect as their other patrons. The food doesnt warrant this behavior and will possibly give another try but not after this experience. There are many restaurants in NYC thar value the color green and act accordingly.
Sophisticated new meeting spot at 9 Orchard
The orange margarita was perfect!! Great chill bar!!!
Doesn’t sell any alcohol till noon boo
Went for thursday night dinner and sat at bar. Buzzy, fun atmosphere. Food was delish and service was gracious. Had mussels and caesar salad, recommend both. Great place now in my rotation! Congratulations to the team in kitchen and in service
The perfect spot for a morning meeting. Their breakfast never disappoints.
This is a nice place for brunch with good service, but I think the food is a little overpriced.
Good place for photos, food is great but a little small
Fantastic experience at Corner Bar. We had Foie Gras, Steak Au Poivre, Canard à lOrange, Spaghetti Pomodoro to share. For dessert, we picked sorbet and profiterole. Everything was excellent. But if there is something not to miss, I think it would be the duck and the profiterole. Those two were unique.
Order: Caesar, orange duckVerdict: really pretty space and food was cooked well but a bit uninspiring.
Maybe it was the lunch menu but nothing spectacular and overpriced. Plenty of amazing neighborhood restaurants nearby.
Food and service were incredible and dining room was super charming. We had the steak Caesar salad and fries and all were perfect. Highly recommend and would return.
Main feature is looking like you’re spending money. Staff all AFK
Stopped to get out of the heat and have a cocktail. Lovely selection of drinks and friendly staff.
Very pricey but charming little French restaurant in the Nine Orchard hotel. Quite standard French bistro fare.
Beautiful decor. Great people watching. Staff was on point and attentive. Go for the burger…yum! It was perfect! Awesome Bloody Mary. Would love to see better olives tho. Something more exciting. But the flavors and kick were spot on.
Nice atmosphere and good service.Food was good, but not GREAT.The hanger steak was tasty but fairly fatty. Trout was good, well cooked and good flavor. French fries were pretty bad..basically frozen premade fries cooked and taste like typical Ruby Tuesday’s fries. Cocktails left a lot to desire. Old fashioned was bland (did not taste any apple jack, and barely any alcohol in it).
Great food and service. Also loved the crowd.
Loved our lunch here. Tasteful decor, cozy, great service and beverage program and had the best chicken dish in a long time for lunch. Will be back for dinner soon.
A patron brought their large dog into the dining room while they ate dinner. It was barking and licking things. Staff could not have cared less.
Everything was great! We ate at the bar, had great attentive staff and became friends with several locals sitting at the bar as well. Everything was delicious (but definitely pricey!)
Expensive but good. Another great Ignacios Mattos venue.
Friendly service but very disappointed by food. Way too salty and overpriced for below average quality. Don’t recommend at all
Sunday night Bartender (with mustache) is unfriendly and kinda awful. Thought we were lucky to get bar seats - wrong. We left and went to Frenchette - where we got cool service, great French food, no attitude. I hope Corner Bar food is as good as advertised - but will have to get a TABLE reservation. Cool atmosphere so I still want to try…
Staff was good but not as attentive as we would’ve hoped
Rude host, turned us away because they dont serve coffee or espressos?
NY charm!! Great local feel, intimate setting and terrific service.
Everything was cooked to perfection, delicious in its execution. However, the front of house isn’t doing back of house any favors. The staff, especially the sommelier, were grudgingly polite. We weren’t even close to being the last reservation of the evening - the place was full- but within minutes of sitting down we were told the kitchen was closing. We were treated as though we were an inconvenience. We ate our desert in the dark. There is a disconnect between the ambiance they are selling and the hospitality they extend. 5 stars for food, 2 stars for hospitality.
Stayed at the 9 Orchard hotel for work in NYC. Corner bar is part of the hotel. Not only is the food extortionately over priced for what it is after eating at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner not once was the experience good enough. The food takes SO long to arrive. Twice we just never received the complete order and side dishes would for some reason take so much longer than the main. On one occasion the eggs my partner ordered were so undercooked they were inedible. This is not good enough for a restaurant that charges $18 for a side of peas!
Very cool spot with a chill vibe and amazing cocktails.
Had a delicious (albeit pricey) dinner here for 4 people early on a Friday evening. Also had breakfast (the egg with mushroom) one morning. The eggs and toast were rich and flavorful. Many of the entrees are large enough to serve two people.
I have no idea how this place received so much good press. In reality, it is terrible. The food is bad and it is way over priced. The whole experience was a big waste of money and I wish I had eaten elsewhere.
One of the best restaurants in NYC - the food, service and vibe are top notch. The best steak au poivre I’ve ever had.
I wish there was an option for 3.5 stars. Ate there on a whim on a Thursday night and was surprisingly about to grab a table. We ordered the lamb, duck, and a side of pommes frittes. I didnt try the duck but it sounded like it was good. The little bit of lamb I was able to try was really really good, the issue was that only 25% of it was actually meat. The remaining 75% was a huge glob of fat. I know that lamb shoulders are a little fatty, but that seemed excessive. The table next to mine asked if the lamb was fatty after I got my food and were told that it wasnt. After the server left, I showed them my plate. I did mentioned something to the server about it when they came to clear the able and we were offered a complimentary desert, which I did take them up on. Im just disappointed that, after spending $150+ on dinner with tip, I left still feeling hungry.
Great ambiance. The service was good. Unfortunately to say the food here it’s very AVERAGE. Especially when the restaurant’s charging whatever the price they want, should at least serve somewhat with quality.
Food is salty, coffee is watery. Nothing stands out and very expensive. Very disappointed with the brand from Estela.
We didn’t actually get to eat here because the host was SO rude and while our friend arrived an hour earlier to put us on this list, they rudely and smugly told us we were not welcome when we arrived after our friend had put our name down.I don’t want to walk into a place and be treated as though I’m not welcome. Due to the horrible attitude of the host and treatment of my friend after waiting an hour on the list, I will never visit this establishment again. I will happily spend my money ANYWHERE other than this place. Which as an example, we walked down the street to Time Sushi and we immediately welcomed and accommodated.
Amazing food, great service. This gem just opened and is worth checking out. Reservations highly recommended. French/American fare with great cocktails.
The rudest receptionist I’ve ever talked to
Great environment!
Beautiful decor. Poor service. Worst fries Ive ever eaten in Manhattan. Very meh experience.
Food, cocktails, and service were great. The oysters and duck were amazing.
Its just not all that. Overpriced. Mediocre food.
Tiny food, big prices even for nyc
Meh. The venue is nice but the food is disappointing compared to alter paradiso (the chefs other restaurant)
Excellent customer service, thank you for a lovely evening!
Best French fries in town and I am a potato girl. Great negroni too and staff is WONDERFUL.
$8 for nuts at the bar when youre having cocktails!DisgustingA total turn off
Simple bistro menu, but it all slaps. Great drinks.
Amazing new restaurant in Dimes Square with a killer wine list!I went with a client and it was such a refreshing change from the staid, usual Midtown power lunch/dinner spots. The owners renovated the Nine Orchard hotel and basically restored parts of it to keep the historical aesthetic, and the entire property is just cool and chic.As for the food, all of it was delicious and well-executed. We had the oysters (clean and refreshing), lobster tagliatelle (their special for the night, shared as an appetizer), chicken, burger and fries. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE BURGER. Crispy edges, perfectly cooked patty - It is probably one of my top favorite burgers in the city now.As for the wine list, the wine list is extensive and their by the glass menu actually has some really interesting wines (not the case at many restaurants). I know a bit about wine, but I asked our somm for her thoughts, and she guided us to the best Vermentino I have ever had, the Cuvee Sarah from Domaine Giacometti (2016). Vermentino can be kind of a meh grape, but this one blew my mind - Youre getting Burgundy style white wines with nice crisp acidity at nowhere near the cost of Burgundy whites these days. Highly recommend if you swing by here and if its still available.Loved the service here - Warm and attentive, without the stiff Midtown feel. Definitely ask the somms for their thoughts and recommendations on the wines, as they have worked at other fine dining restaurants around the city. After finishing dinner, definitely hop on over to Lobby Lounge Bar (make a reservation before, though, because it looks really busy) or any of the other awesome new spots in Dimes Square. This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!
A gem of a restaurant in a boutique hotel! Amazing, excellent food and very friendly service!
Nice people with basic bar food.
Not having any walk in spots at the bar is the opposite of being a Corner Bar and hospitality in general
Great on every level
Amazing food atmosphere and ice cream
Cute little French bistro moment
Extremely unprofessional staff
Meh
The food was superior!
Great food and drink!
Luis is my brother
📉🐊📈
Staff was rude
Gentrifiers.
We ordered a cheeseburger, but the kitchen made a mistake and didnt add cheese. We asked the waiter for help, but he said he couldnt fix it as the kitchen was closing. The manager took almost 15 minutes to arrive at the table and try to resolve the issue, as the waiter had no experience and didnt know what to do. Anyway, very poor service, unprepared people, so-so food. At least the drinks and desserts were good.
Great burger
The best place in New York, without a doubt!
Great pepper steak and foie terrine.
The place has a lot of charm, of course, and they treated us wonderfully. The club sandwich surprised us with its flavor, but nothing else caught our attention. It has more name than its dishes deserve. Dont order the Main oysters, they are miniature oysters...
Great restaurant with bar, very friendly with a nice atmosphere that fits the neighborhood. Great bar food, good wines, sparklings and cocktails, very attentive staff, not a classic hotel bar
Very good
