I recently dined at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in NYC, and while the Porterhouse steak was absolutely outstanding – perfectly cooked, tender, and incredibly flavorful – the rest of the experience was uneven. The entree options were average and didn’t stand out in the way I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. The bread served at the table was stale, which was disappointing and detracted from the start of the meal. Finally, the dessert left much to be desired; while the selections sounded enticing, the execution didn’t quite deliver. That said, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was classic and inviting. I’ll definitely be back for the steak, but I hope to see improvements in the supporting dishes and overall quality next time.

Had breakfast and dinner here while staying at the Four Seasons and we we’re not disappointed. The chicken and steak dishes were well prepared and the raw bar items were high quality. The only negative things we could find during dinner were that our server’s shift ended mid meal and the decanters that were showcased had not been cleaned and had fingerprints all over them; not a big deal but didn’t meet the standard they’re trying to set. Breakfast, however, was perfect. The eggs were top quality as was the fruit and the service was flawless. There’s plenty of options for restaurants in Manhattan but I would likely visit this location again.

Had dinner at Cut for a special occasion, then again for a drink at the bar on another visit to the area. The food, service, and atmosphere here were all fantastic both times. This restaurant is located within the Four Seasons hotel downtown, making it a nice go-to spot if youre staying at that property.

Friendly and hospitable hostess, very friendly bartender (ordered sparkling water until the main restaurant opened for dinner), and an attentive server (Patrick) who has a quiet energy about him - not invasive - just the way I like it. I got lucky! The decor is darker than what I usually like, but the vibrant music was enjoyable and the food was elegantly presented. My favorite is the mashed potato! So smooth and delicious! The grilled shrimps and the cheese macaroni were delicious too! Not to forget the house-made pretzel rolls with the mustard seeds butter that tasted as good as they sounded! For a chocolate lover, the dark chocolate snickers bar was the perfect ending to a sweet experience.

It was an absolutely wonderful experience. We were blown away. The level of service at this restaurant is close to that of a Michelin starred restaurant. Mary was an absolute pleasure to have. I cannot speak more highly of her. Beyond that, the meal was fantastic. The cocktails were very good, but a little pricey if I’m honest. I got the fluke appetizer. It wasn’t my favorite, and Mary took it off the ticket without me even asking. Me and my mom got steaks. She got the 12 oz prime strip. I got 8 oz of A5 wagyu. She loved her steak. Mine was on another level. You will never find steak that tender and juicy. The potato purée and the mac and cheese were phenomenal. Just an overall sublime experience. I haven’t been this full from a meal in a long time. If I ever visit New York again, I will return for sure. Expect a big bill but a great experience.

The food here was delicious. They dont have any vegetarian meal options but they have plenty of veg sides. The service was good although Id prefer that they say excuse me before just coming and talking right in the middle of my conversation... got a bit annoying after a few times it happened. Dining area is quite dark. Went to the bar after eating and it is a monstrosity of a design. Very cheap & tacky looking. For the amount this place makes, youd think the management would treat the staff better and that theyd be making at least minimum wage to work!

Went here for the winter Restaurant Week 2018. The menu had a good selection of dishes. I had the Tortelloni to start, followed by the Skate Wing and finished off with Strawberry donuts. The husband had the Winter Salad, Steak Sandwich and Apple Crumble. The Tortelloni was yummy with both a creamy filling and rich sauce. The skate wing was fine. The sugar coated donuts were warm and divine, just cant beat a fresh donut. They didnt try to go for anything too weird for the flavour, just be careful eating it as the jam came oozing out. I also tried the apple crumble and that was nice too. There was a small section in the drinks menu for non-alcoholic cocktails, which were on the expensive side ($14-16), but the Cracklin Rosie I had was good. Nice to see they cater for non-boozy people. The restaurant wasnt too full during lunch time, so, practically no noise to speak of and no background music either, a blessed relief. The decor was very swish, as would be expected for a high end restaurant next to the Four Seasons. Our waiter was a very pleasant chap and service was pretty quick. Oddly, they took away the bread plates before serving the main course, this seems to be happening at a few restaurants weve been to recently. Odd trend. Neat freaks?!?Another oddity was the $5 supplement for the donuts, which I thought was bizarre. Surely that should have gone on one of the more expensive items on the menu? 🤷‍♂️Overall, a good experience and will go again if Im in the area.

I asked the chef to pick out A stake that he would like to eat and how he would cook it and surprise me.The filet mignon taste out of this world. I went with a mac & cheese, mash potato on the sideFor apps I had Raw oysters and a scallop dish.

I’ve been to CUT in Los Angeles plenty times and never had a bad meal there. Went to CUT NY for the week for a birthday trip. This one was a bit different. I always order the bone marrow whenever I dine at CUT. In LA, it comes out to you on a plate bone marrow still in the bone(tasteful that way). In New York, they serve it to you on a dish already scooped out and drown it in olive oil. I told the waiter, “we didn’t order scallops...” he said, “it’s the bone marrow and they don’t serve it in eight bone.” I was a bit disappointed. The rest of the meal was okay... I don’t like the fact that the desert menus are so different either. I was also expecting their delicious banana cream pie to be on the menu, but I guess that’s only in LA. The service was good, but I excepted the food it to be more like the LA location.

RACIAL BIAS/ THEY RUINED CHRISTMASWhen we arrived on Christmas Day we were pleasantly greeted by a woman but then a man stepped in while we were waiting to be seated (who we later learned was Mike the beverage manager). He told his team where to seat us and asked that they call Lauren to service us. As we were being escorted to our seats it seemed like a never ending walk upstairs to the very back of the restaurant between two waiters stations despite having a reservation and there being seating available on the main floor. There was also a curtain covering the inventory closet which was slightly ajar and the cooking area was behind us with a greasy acrylic window divider. It felt weird because we were the only black people in the restaurant at the moment and we were being pushed away from the other guests that were dining also seeing as the couple that was sat right before us were seated in the main dining room. It felt very much like the for colored only section. We decided to ask the manager Mike about his decision to have us seated in the back and he fumbled over his answer too many times to make us feel confident that the decision was not racially motivated. Immediately after he said he had a new table for us. Funny enough how a new table magically opened up. We refused, but then the damage control started. All of a sudden this empty corner room where we sat alone began to fill with other people. OUT OF NOWHERE!Our order was pretty simple. We ordered the Caesar, fries, filet mignon and macaroni and cheese. The Caesar salad had wilted lettuce and a bitter dressing that was nowhere near what a Caesar should be. It was absolutely disgusting and we had to send it back. The fries were cold and pretty flavorless. I ate them anyway, we waited to have what we thought would be a great dinner so we arrived hungry. The filet mignon was charred almost to burnt on the outside and the inside was weird and stringy and not indicative of the high quality you would expect from such an expensive cut of meat at a Wolfgang establishment. To add insult to injury, the waitress Lauren assumed we were sharing the steak and had it brought out cut in half. The filet was tough, cold and flavorless. How disappointing on so many levels for such a high quality cut of meat. The Mac and cheese was pretty bad and in dire need of salt. We got it based on Lauren’s recommendation. When we asked if she liked it instead of explaining the flavor profile she decided to enlighten us about how it’s made with a bechamel sauce and going through step by step of what a bechamel sauce is funny enough my wife is well versed in food and I’m a French trained chef we didn’t need the rundown and thought it was weird that she assumed we had no clue!During this time I would like to also say that Lauren NEVER once asked us how we were doing or how the meal was. At one point my wife called her name and Lauren did not respond. The Manager Mike sent us a complimentary shrimp cocktail after we sent the salad back. The problem is a waiter came to our table and just said here’s your shrimp. We told him we didn’t order it and he took it back. Then he came back and said it’s complimentary and put it on our table. Never once were we ever asked if we had a shellfish allergy. I guess they figured something free would shut us up but nonetheless we refused it.We ended up spending a little over $175.00 to sit in a time out corner, eat old salad, cold fries, bland macaroni and cheese and overpriced steak that barely mirrored a filet mignon. When we were exiting Mike the manager asked us how everything was. We told him we were extremely disappointed given the weight of the name behind this restaurant and the placement in the Four Seasons hotel. He insisted on giving us his business card but the damage was done. We left disappointed, underwhelmed and hungry. To be honest, this restaurant simply didn’t make the CUT!UPDATE 2/17/24The general manger Massimiliano Cortese reached out and promised us a refund. This has yet to happen. So overall they don’t stand by their word.

Exceptional, to say the least. Once you walk in youll encounter the aroma of the steaks. Capturing a moment of pure bliss at the notion that youre going to eat well. What makes it better is the attentiveness of the staff. From the bartenders to the servers, they made you feel like youre spending a million bucks. However, the prices might be out of reach for some, yet, its well worth the pampering. Its situated in a quite part of the fidi area. Blocks from the freedom tower and century 21, for shopping after dinner of course. Highly recommend the American wagyu, its out-of-this-world. Also, a must is the house margarita. They use a aged tequila in some sort of barrel, all I know is I had two and thought I was king of the world. Anyhow, Go HERE, call ahead though, make reservations. If youre a local from East NY like me, use your tax return on this dinner.

This is a lavishly designed place with small touches of club ambiance that looks amazing with its naturally high ceilings. I’m just thankful they don’t enforce a strict dress code or else I won’t be able to come. The service is somewhat hit or miss but usually fine. Hotel guests usual flood the bar from Mon thru Thu come 5 pm and later so best to come early but on a Fri 5 pm, bar was empty. When it first opened, I thought this was part of Wolfgang Steakhouses chain which is a different chef and I was trying their Wagyu menu which is very expensive so I was not really impressed. But after a recent revisiting and exploration of their entire menu and regular steaks, I feel it is one of, if not the best restaurant in the area. Ribeye is so tender and not just fatty like most steakhouses. Wolfgang Puck never disappoints because I remembered eating at his pizzeria in Hoboken, NJ and it was just extraordinary. Food is pricey so I do have to limit my visits to perhaps once or twice a week.

Got to Wolfgang Puck and the restaurant wasn’t near full however I was shown to the worst table within the space for some reason. A table right near the cashiers unit where all the staff (at least 6) were congregating.Maybe because I’m not of Caucasian decent I should be grateful. I have to wonder if staff are trained to do this or is it is their choice. Needless to say I asked to be moved to another table which was accommodated begrudgingly.I furiously watched on for the next 3 hours as none of the other tables that that were apparently too good for me were not used. The 1920’s was a long time ago so I know there are black people with money to spend in the Manhattan area. I’m one of them.Anyway, the food was bloody amazing. Everything served for thanksgiving was outstanding so compliments to the chef.Needless to say I won’t be back, I’ll take money elsewhere and you guys can run the place how you see fit.

It was okay. Not worth the price. Service was great most of the time. The food took 2 hours to arrive. Came for my 21st birthday and well, I was disappointed. Half of the table enjoyed the meal. A friend and I had the lobster pasta and it was super sour and salty. Lobster was good. Portions were small. The other half of the table had the chicken, tried a bit and it tasted good. The birthday dessert was strange, tasted mediocre. I didn’t have the steak which is what they are known for so that would change things.

The food and service were some of the best we have had. Steak amazing. Wine choice amazing and the dessert!! The decor was disappointing. Its just like an extension of the bar with very little character. The music was a bit loud with a vibe of classic rock. I love classic rock but it didn’t seem to fit the level of the restaurant and service. One final comment and a pet peeve. I had a fairly expensive glass of dessert wine that was listed as a 1996 vintage. When it came it was 2009. That’s a big difference. When I pointed it out they apologized and commented the menu should be updated. I accepted it but still felt misled. Was the price I paid for a 2009 or a 1996? It was my choice to accept it but it’s the point.

First time here and loved the atmosphere of the place. Walked in and was greeted with big smiles and was attended to right away. That quickly ended when our drinks were brought to the wrong table. I let that go thinking it was an innocent mistake but noticed it happened throughout the whole restaurant. I ordered the rib eye and my partner ordered the New York strip both American wagyu. When the steaks came out both looked the same and was burnt on the outside and hard to cut open. My main highlight was the apple salad which was amazing and packed with flavor. I’m a new cook to New York City and was hoping to find some inspiration and started here. Wish our steaks received the same attention like our neighbors who got the tomahawk steak. We felt like if we didn’t order something big we weren’t going to receive the best product. Customers in the bar were very rude to us as well. I guess the more money you have the better treatment you get. Our waitress was very non existent even though we sat next to waitress station. Seemed like every question we had was an inconvenience to her to answer. She made it seem like we should know about this establishment. I’ve worked at a high class place and with a place like to claim their steaks are good is an overstatement. Subpar at most. Steak sauce is a big no no at steakhouse but make sure you order all their sauces. There is a reason they offer those sauces for free. The steak photo looks like a hockey puck. I ordered medium rare.

We were even offered the option to see the cuts of meat prior to ordering, got a thorough explanation of the cuts of meat, and briefed on whats halal. We went with the special of the day, which was a bone in australian wagyu cut for two. It was absolutely delicious, as were the fries and grilled prawns we had for the sides. We also ordered a mocktail which was excellent!!Post pandemic, as a Native New Yorker I really felt that NYC restaurants were on a sharp decline in terms of quality of food and overall customer service. This was not only the best meal Ive had in a while, but it was coupled with excellent service that almost seemed synchronized. 5 stars across the board!

However, the approproate gesture would have been to either prepare a new steak or remove it entirely from the tab.

He recommended a really delicious white wine for me as the only non-red drinker and didnt make me feel silly for not knowing how to explain my preferences in wine lingo!. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and not at all pretentious. Lots of steak places to try in NYC but wed definitely return here again.

I came here for my birthday last month where Dave was our waiter. Lets start with Dave, STELLAR SERVICE, very attentive, holds a great conversation, definitely made some great recommendations and last but not least, the effort he puts into making the drinks is UNMATCHED. I enjoyed my birthday dinner so much we went back a month later to be greeted by who else, Dave! Remembered my wife and I by first name. You just dont get that type of service anywhere else. Ive been to plenty of steakhouses and this by far IS THE BEST, HANDS DOWN ! The ambiance, the food, the music, the bar, the set up. This place is just the best, no other way to describe it. I will be back in soon! Just wanted to share how great this place is as well as its Staff!

We came here for hubs birthday celebration. We had a great time. They set up a card on the table and the service is excellent. I just wish there were more seafood options. I know I know! Its a steakhouse, but still, they only had 3 seafood entree options, which isnt much at all compared to other steakhouses. The food was cooked perfectly and great wine selection.Nice ambiance, it can get a little loud, but the crowd overall was lively in a sophisticated way. Definitely would return here.

Listen, its not a NY steakhouse. Its a dainty LA steakhouse. The service is really nice. The atmosphere is cool. The wagyu steak is tender as can be. But the flavor of the strip, the tomahawk, and the porterhouse are lacking. Its sizzle over substance at a high price. And at the price they charge, you can do much much much much better. I loved the service, food, atmosphere, and most of all the location in Tribeca. The only issue I had with CUT on my recent stay is the presentation of my 8oz. filet mignon. Presentation is very important......An 8oz piece of filet mignon presented on a large white plate alone did not scream 5-Star restaurant. Perhaps, a splash of pureed sauce on the plate would have been a nice addition for a top tier celebrity restaurant. The steak was totally fabulous, but presented poorly, and the sides are way too large. I never go to 5- Star restaurants with the intention of sharing my sides. Whenever I visit NYC, 4 Seasons Tribeca is my hotel of choice. Kudos to your wonderful hotel staff and CUT staff. I look forward to my next visit to NYC!

Food was great so it’s nothing against the kitchen staff in any way. It’s about the actual experience. It was bad. “ hey what’s up” -one server said. Dont what’s up me, I don’t even know you. They brought the wine glasses out then took it away. I asked for sparkling water the guy says only one other person is having sparkling water. What is that supposed to mean? Can I please have my sparkling water? Our waitress I guess goes home at 11pm. We are now trying to get another bottle of wine since the last 4oz in decanter we had just vanished. NOT COOL! You do not take customers decanter unless it is given to you by the customer! Now they are telling us that they won’t serve more alcohol because they had last call. No one told us there was last call. So now it’s not fair.We are not done with our dinner and you’re saying on Saturday night at 11 pm we can’t have more wine? They said no. We were nice up until that point. We asked to speak to the manager. Manager was not there. No manager in sight. She made a phone call to someone and it was okay for us to have more drinks and finish our dinner appropriately. However, this shorter, stockier waitress with a black slick ponytail kept walking around huffing and puffing. Kept standing and staring at us. Like we understand that you want to go home but we are paying customers. Our tab was $2300 and you are ruining our whole experience here. This did not feel like other Four Seasons we’ve been to but more like 2 seasons. Don’t advertise that your bar is opened until 1am and start kicking customers out at 11pm on a Saturday nights. Poor Managment, Staff needs training. Take it from a person who’s also in food and wine industry. Bad experience. We could of made reservations somewhere else.

The second time (April 5, 2023) the service was outstanding, Tuna tartare on point , Mac & cheese was bland but my rib eye was amazing. So i gave them a pass on the Mac. Yesterday (June 17th, 2023) the service was great but the food was so BLAND. I’m so disappointed. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor, my rib eye was bland ( also room temperature) and my hand cut fries weren’t even warm. My food tasted as if it was just sitting there.
