Bartender Chris was great. great Frm h Onion Soup, Beet Salad and a Couple. pints of Guinness.

I ordered a pie with peppers and french fries. It was excellent and not expected being that this place is a bar as well. People in the know realize this place has history, from Ny Yankees in the past coming here as well as celebrities. I had been here in the late 90s and the layout seems different but this is kinda one of the last neighborhood bars and classic joints left, that has a lot of history and authenticity. I dont really drink anymore or go to bars much, but if I did, this is a great spot. The bartender or server who i dealt with was very friendly.

Tried some New York pizza here. We wanted outta the way spots that seemed local. The staff was great. Soccer game on and lots of fans watching it while we were there. Pizza and burgers were great. Would certainly visit again if in the area.

Came for an event. Had an entire room for us. It was fun and very well organized. Food is very good. Was finger food though. But still good.

Went here for NFL Sunday and wish the TVs were a little bigger - there’s one big projector and surrounded by a couple pretty small TVs. Reasonable prices for drinks and the food was decent. Love the decor and the way the interior looks.

Horrible manager, started yelling not to take pictures, rude, insolent person. This is the first time Ive ever seen a person yell like that after I made dinner at this restaurant. There was no camera, we just wanted to take a picture on our phone with my friend. He hates women, he has no right to talk to guests like that. Fire him or reprimand him. I live right next to your restaurant, I will never come here again.

For brunch its okay. The food and drinks are meh Its a bar that does brunch. Dont expect bottomless. The service was exceptional when youve captured their attention. I ordered the biscuits and gravy that includes eggs. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The gravy was a bit thin and biscuits were a bit flat. The flour used was not soft all purpose self rising flour ergo the flat biscuits. The gravy was to thin. Use a iron skillet please.

One of the bouncers at Dorians grabbed my arm and yanked it out of position because I entered the empty men’s bathroom to pee. This seemed politically charged, because when I said that we should be able to use any bathroom, he really lost his temper And called me names. I have bruise marks from where he grabbed my arm and yanked me out. I felt unsafe at this bar and I’m considering pressing charges.

Food was ok. Service fair. Asked if they could turn off hot air blowing right at us but they refused so we moved to table under heater so it wouldnt blow on us. Then when leaving server asked me to turn off the heat. Why couldnt they do it when we asked? Odd.

Dorrian’s Red Hand was a great place to catch the games on Sunday. Enjoyed two pitchers of beer, chicken nachos and chicken tenders. Service was good, food was good and everything was reasonably priced. Best part, great mirrors to snap a quick selfie so your followers in the gram know you’re out supporting someone from your alma mater starting in their first NFL game.

Local comfortable and friendly pub offering a decent food menu. We enjoyed a very good cobb salad (egg was boiled perfectly!) and the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. Attentive and friendly service from the bartender. I cant comment on the night or sports scene, but for a beer and local pub food you can enjoy the warm atmosphere and decent eats!

Recently hosted a birthday party here. It was a great decision! Very accommodating for my group of 25 and for prices that are a steal in the city. Food was great too. Staff couldnt have been kinder as well. Thanks John!

Great spot to watch a game and get food. Fun atmosphere on the UES and good amount of TVs. Get there early cause it fills up fast. Pizza is solid, wings are good, but the nachos are legit

Decided to do a walk-in on Superbowl Sunday, and was pleasantly surprised by their service and friendliness. Even in the madness of the fans, they managed to deliver tasty, well cooked food accompanied by cheerful and prompt service. The burgers were the right size and flavor, and the drinks are fairly priced. Draft beer from big brands (no craft beer here) properly poured. Dorrians delivered.

Nice place with lots of seating. Yummy burgers served on an English muffin. Low key and relaxed place. Perfect for a weekday dinner.

Food was very good. Service was not good. I went on a Saturday night so I dont know if it is like this all the time, but the music is WAY too loud.And I dont want to sound like an old man but the speakers were actually over modulating. The music was LEGITIMATELY too loud. The speakers could not handle the volume at which the music was playing and you could tell.So you had loud music AND it didnt sound good because they dont have the speaker system to support how loud they want the music to be.Turn the music down. Seriously.Other than that, I would return.

Apps were truly very good, mozz sticks, chicken fingers etc. Mains were not - very dry chicken, took quite a while to arrive. Some drinks were wrong. And we arrived at 2:45p for brunch only to be told that it ended at 2p, despite the menu saying 3p 🤷‍♂️

We went her to the Washington Football game. It was a great experience - when Washington scored they would play the old Washington Fight Song

If you are looking for food poisoning I can’t recommend this place enough. I went for dinner with my wife and we both felt sick immediately. Unfortunately, when we tried to speak ti the manager about the quality of the food they refused to listen.

This place is way over crowded. Good luck trying to get to the restrooms way in the back. I had to step out from the open window like so many others did, otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to leave my seat.One of the staff (a short and stout guy wearing a baseball cap with the Japanese flag on it) freaked out on me, being extremely rude. He tried to convince the bouncer to kick me out. The bouncer knew his reaction was ridiculous and tried to calm him down. This guy clearly has issues and takes his frustrations out on customers, handling things in the worst way possible.I was trying to have a simple good time with friends and ended up feeling humiliated. We’re never going back to Dorrian’s again.

This place will always have a five star rating for me. Ive been meeting up with some local moms and our kids there and they always treat us with respect and kindness. Not to mention they also have an entrance that doesnt require use of steps. Thank you!

Had a nice lunch (club sandwich) and got some work done at the bar while a real nice bartender (Chris) worked there. I found the atmosphere to be extraordinarily comfortable and hope to get back there soon.

First off the orange juice tasted spoiled. And it was 5$. Then the food was really gross. My burger was dry and fries very soggy and not done. Ppl were nice but service no bueno. Ive never written a review before but it was seriously that bad :(

Our bill was $90, we gave the waitress $120, all in 20s, so we could break an extra 20 for her tip. The bartender (owner?) pocketed the change 20 and gave us only $9 back to tip the waitress. He robbed us of $20 dollars, and even stole from his own employee. When we politely tried to correct the billing issue, which we assumed was an honest mistake, the bartender became very defensive and hostile. If you dine here, take meticulous recordings if paying in cash, and if paying with a card assume that fraudulent charges will be made on it.

Ill would like to say sonething about of one of family members, that RIP. He was my boss, and friend, he had a beautiful soul that always helped ne out.as a boss, when I always asked him for something he never said no. I really miss him from my bottom of my heart ❤ There are never be two Johnnys on the world. I really miss this men, Why did you go to soon. 😪😪

Nice place, good quiet vibe at 8pm on a Tuesday when I went. Some of the worst fish and chips Ive ever had—the first word that comes to mind is chewy—but they had a NA beer (Sam Adams hazy IPA knockoff) and besides the food it was nice.

Bartender was an older gentleman. He was friendly and can really make a drink! Will go again.

Went in here on a Sunday afternoon to get brunch, it was relativity quiet. Ordered the caesar salad, chopped cheese sandwich and mac n cheese. Both the caesar salad and the mac n cheese came out quickly. The dressing on the caesar salad was runny. The mac n cheese was not super creamy. The chopped cheese sandwich never came out. Then a swarm on football fans came and they got overwhelmed. The kitchen finally brought the sandwich out after 3 reminders. Seems like a fun place to watch a football game and grab a beer, but do not come eat here.

Chill place, nothing special. We had basic drinks like kettle one and Cran/Grapefruit. We shared tater tot’s, which were perfect. The Bartender was also nice but you could tell he was new.

Horrible place. Definitely will never go back. Food is disgusting. Found a hair in my food and when I showed the server they were extremely rude. Definitely hard pass.

I LOVE their Smash Burger with grilled onions and your choice of cheeses...and its on a buttered and lightly toasted English muffin...delicious! I asked for a smooth, not tart kind of an IPA tap beer. And I was given one called Sunny by Sierra Nevada...a bit of citrus, smooth and perfectly refreshing for a warm spring day! I sat by the open windows, with a light breeze coming in...great lunch! Ive been coming here for years...and will return again and again!

Attempted to go to lunch here with my younger sister and was carded by the bouncer (she’s in high school)? At 2 pm on a Saturday? And when I asked why that was necessary to eat the waitress told me unfortunately it was? There were small children already in there. I don’t know it was just an extremely weird vibe from the outset but if they want to turn away paying customers that’s their prerogative.

They served me a can of tuna when I ordered a sandwich, but their bathrooms were amazing. I would pee there any day of the week.

This is the ideal spot to host a fun party on the UES and the staff makes it so easy. We had 50 people in the private room and there was plenty of space for Karaoke and mingling. The pub grub was delicious and we had a reasonably priced open bar with two bartenders. They let us use their TV and sound system for our music and they let us put up decor all over the room. They also gave us some bonus time when our private time was over. Am currently thinking of an excuse to host an event there again!

I got punched in the face by a drunk and deranged guy in a striped turtleneck sweater that I bumped into in the crowded bar (lol) who was probably 40+ years old and security pretended to throw him out but didn’t - had to leave. Women, be careful.

More of a restaurant than a bar, Dorians is nevertheless a good place to catch a ball game with friends or strangers. Service is friendly and efficient. Good beers are on tap. Food is casual, reasonably priced and delicious. Burgers are amazing -- juicy, tasty, satisfying and cooked to perfection. Wings are very good, too. One note -- the bar itself is small. You might come in thinking to sit at the bar and have to settle for a table and waiter service.

Very accommodating staff. Friend and I came here the day after a major holiday and couldn’t figure out where to sit. The patio which is covered or the main dining where it was loud. The staff was nice and attentive. I had their Margherita pizza which was more than plenty to share. Mom and pop kind of vibe during the day and local bar hangout at night

Pathetic and rude. Left a credit card at the venue after paying check. Called next day to see if it was there. Was told I could only come the next day (and not today) to check if it was there because the bartenders were too busy to look (even thought if it was there, it would have been kept behind the bar and would have taken probably 30 seconds).Hard to be that incompetent…

Larry and Evan are awesome, the Cobb Salad, Turkey Club and Steak Frites are all excellent dishes here. Great for watching sport games, too.

Old school friendly bar in the UES, zero pretentious just warm ambiance and best bartenders in the neighborhood. Food is ok, the Cob salad is the best i have ever had.

Dorrian’s sticks to what it knows best - reasonable, simple drinks (typically for a preppier, local crowd). Pre-Covid, definitely a really fun party spot. Currently, there’s tons of outdoor seating - a great option for a quick beer or well drink if you’re in the area.

Always have a good time at Dorrians! The food is delicious and everyone is very friendly. Theyre also super accommodating of my allergy-- they use peanut oil and are great about identifying what I can eat, or making a dish safe for me to eat.

Was there last night and the owner hooked it up with some free drinks. He was the only guy behind the bar so it took a while to get my check and in my drunken state I got frustrated and wrote “terrible service” or something on my bill. I didn’t mean it! You guys are great.

Dorians is probably the greatest bar in the world. Theres reasonably priced drinks, great music that you can dance to, and a very social crowd. The crowd trends towards young prepsters, and youre almost guaranteed to meet someone new. Its a bar you can dance at, but you dont have to. A perfect way to end your night.

Dont let some ancient history of this bar keep you away. The food is excellent, for a bar, and the staff are very friendly. Certanly worth a visit or two to feel out.

Aug/02/2017 I could be making a good comment. Another rat for lunch ruined everything. I feel injured by the establishment for charging for the lack of hygiene. And part of this guilt is owed to the health Department of New York, which does not evaluate the establishments more rigorously, whether they want to use focus of light to detect the presence of plague. 😡🤧😷🤒😝

When my husband and I planned a weekend trip to New York, the first place he said he wanted to go was Dorrians Red Hand and it did not disappoint. Although we were tourists, we felt like locals with the welcoming, carefree environment!

Watch your credit card statement. They added money to the receipt I signed. Called them and they promised to look into it. Called again to follow up but owner was busy and I was told Id get a call back. UPDATE: They did credit me back for the error they made. Thank you, John.

The food was bland & dry. I ordered the fish & chips. Also it felt like wed overstayed our welcome as the service became curt at the end. We were there about an hour.
