My fav little go to spot. Food portions are generous and tasty. The drinks are great! Did I tell you they offer to go drinks!!! For the affordable pricing I will continue to support
Stopped in for a quick bite while exploring the neighborhood. Had the black bean salad, and it was huge. It was a delicious light meal, perfect for the afternoon. Quick service, nice employees, very comfortable vibe. Clean and welcoming.
I had this place saved on my list for a little bit, so I was excited to finally try it once I was in the area. We got the steak tacos to start and I was really happy with the quality of the steak. They gave nice long juicy pieces which was a pleasant surprise. I got the fish tacos, which I thought were pretty good, but missing something. My friend got the burrito which seemed like it was missing the “wrap” part. My other friend got the salmon tacos, and they were disappointing and dry. Margaritas were very sugary.
This place was an absolute slam dunk! Amazing Spanish food for good prices and when I went the atmosphere was super laid back. Unbelievable service, got our food in probably less than 15 minutes and the staff was very nice. Highly recommend!
Everything we got was great! According to my mom, not many places have elote, so she was thrilled to eat that (and it was yummy :)) In my opinion, the pastor tacos were the best - would definitely recommend to pastor taco enthusiasts.
On a quest for Mexican food in NYC, it leads you down many paths of disappointment. Yes you can find the best tacos, but finding sit down tex mex is hard to come by. That is until finally wandering into the Mexican place I had passed by so many times. This place is very very good. I got the chicken chilaquiles and the sauce was very good and the amount of meat they gave was very generous. Everyone I went with liked their food. The search is over!
Delicious foodThe Margaritas are 🔥We ordered a large guacamole to share, the guac was fresh and the chips were nice and crispyI ordered the steak with yucca fries- the steak was very well made and seasoned, the yucca fries were crispy on the outside and creamy on the insideAnother friend ordered a veggie based dish that looked very tastyWe washed it all down with some Margaritas, these were one of the best I had in this area in a whileThe menu is reasonably priced, great value for moneyThe staff is super nice and friendly10/10
Fantastic Mexican food with a really friendly laid back atmosphere. Delicious tacos (had fish and shrimp) with reasonably priced beers. Servers were helpful and attentive. They have a few tables outside and a covered seating area however inside is air conditioned and exactly what we were looking for. Would defiantly come again!
One of the few places that has dos equis on tap to go along with their great food! Their brunch menu is solid but dinner had a bit more selection. Had their diablos huevos which were awesome, spicy enough without drowning out the other flavors. Fish tacos are crispy and flakey and the skirt steak perfectly cooked. Drinks are well made as well. Lastly their home made hot sauce is fantastic! Perfect spice level with lots of flavor.
Authentic food! great taste, really fresh and quality tasting ingredients. Not too crowded or loud. Would highly recommend. They dont take reservations only fist come first serve.
Overpriced and the quality has dropped big time. Last time i got fish tacos it looked like small fish sticks. No happy hour either. Lacking flavor.
I came here during the dance parade so the area was pretty packed. Nonetheless, I was able to get a seat outside. I only ordered drinks and the guacamole appetizer. The service was a bit slow, but I would assume it was due to the crowds from the parade. Other than that, the drinks were extremely generous with alcohol and the guacamole was very tasty. Would definitely stop by here again if ever I were in the area.
This family run restaurant is Amazing food is tasty and delicious they something for everyone and don’t let me start with the cocktails and amazing drinks they’re prepared while the customers service is amazing. Is definitely a place you need to try for yourself!!
Great place when you just want a big plate of nachos and a gigantic margarita
Please, change the music!! Unbearable, horrible…insupportable ! The place is already noisy.Food was good, but it’s overpriced for the quality and the experience you get.Waiters very friendly, though.
Wonderful spot that we stopped at yesterday for some nachos and a drink just before getting on the subway would highly recommend the spots anyone in the area looking for some good Mexican food
Amazing service and food definitely recommend. thank you
Good house margaritas. The drink sizes are large and generous. Nice window seats and music.
Usually when you go into a non busy restaurant, they serve you water right away. It took our waitress nearly 10 minutes to come with water and place our order. Food was good- no complaints there. Again, non busy- took another 15 minutes to ask how are we doing and refilled our water. Horrible service. Definitely not a place to go back to.
A fun brunch spot with great food. I had this Huevos Diablos with a habanero corn bread base that was so yummy. Your brunch comes with a coMplimentary drink of a marg, bloody mary, or mimosa. The only reason I gave this is 4 vs. 5 stars is the portions at this place are very uneven. My friend had a massive burrito for the same price while my boyfriend had the Chicken Chilaquiles which was half the size of my plate all for the same price. Definitely a fun spot worth checking out just double check on how big your portion will be.
Delicious food, good services, I recommend this restaurant. They take time for make the food but the waiting time is good. Tasted delicious
Got the carnitas tacos and the fajitas - both amazing. The portions are a bit small but don’t let that fool you - we were stuffed by the end of our meals
Always a hit, never a miss at El Camion. A bit on the pricey side, but plenty of food to share if you’re on a budget. The chips and guacamole are above par here, so be sure to save room for your entrée!
Delicious cocktails, extensive margarita menu. Cozy dining space. Good for adults!
Great brunch specials! Has a local neighborhood restaurant feel about it. Hope this helps!
Attentive, happy, competent, helpful waitstaff. Nicely plated food served hot!
Havent tried the food yet but for a first experience the margaritas were absolutely amazing. Loved the added coconut tasted like real coconut
Really good food and service and margaritas
Very nice place. Very delicious foods, excellent services, peaceful and enjoyable environment. Highly recommended.
I loved ❤️ the food & drinks though they can give a bit more of the Guomole, I was also surprised they didnt carry flan a delicious custard dessert. I was disappointed with the music 🎶 they had on., it did not go with the theme at all!
Drinks were great . Food was above average my girl got the chimichanga or the dish that had shredded chicken and like chips in it crunchy soggy chips with shredded CHICKEN THAT WAS FREAKING AMAZING . I HAD TACOS and they were good but that other dish IS A MUST TRY AS FOR drink Pina coladas were great
Jesus Christ, the food here is superb.
The food is fantastic, the drinks are amazing. The location gives you that a city fun Manhattan vibes. The service and customer service is definitely a five star. The owner comes around talks to you like he has known you forever. This place was very welcoming I had an amazing time I will definitely come back and bring my friends and co-workers!
Food was great. Margaritas were weak, though one person got the Cadillac margarita and said it was better (he tasted both).
Brunch is amazing and very reasonably priced!Service could use improvement, slow and inattentive.Ive been here twice since my last review. They have new servers and service has greatly improved. The food is fantastic and Im still shocked how affordable it is and the quality of the food!
Loved the place good service 👏 Good margaritas 😃
Steak nachos were the best i have had. The steak was seasoned perfectly and melted in your mouth. The margarita was Very Nice!
Love the veggie burrito over here!
Great service and really good food! Love the outside tables relaxing. Great for a night out or family dining
Best Mexican food in East Village :)
Ordered nachos with Guac, chicken burritos and sparkling water. Everything was delicious, perfect flavors and wait staff are efficient, and on time. Ive been here several times over the years and they never disappoint. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
A casual spot to enjoy Mexican inspired food. I was here with a friend and my 9 year old. We all had the enchiladas with beef. Very delicious and the beef was tender. Yum! I liked the freshness of the margarita (regular) I could taste the lime. My daughter had a guava lemonade. The servers were friendly and attentive. We had a good relaxing time; there is a time limit of 90 minutes for dining, but we were not rushed and left when we were ready. I look forward to going back.
Great Service, excellent food and amazing drinks. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The meal is well seasoned and the drinks are mixed to perfection. The price isnt bad either. Besides being one of the best Mexican restaurant in New York, they have amazing chicken wings!!! Try it you wont regret it.
This place is great for lunch. Personally I think you should split the margaritas between two ppl (they are very strong). The food is good, there are better tacos elsewhere in the east village so order something like the enchiladas (they are very good)
I really enjoyed this place. And so did my friends. The food is very fresh, and they can adjust the order for you as well.Im not a drinker per se, but my friends loved their drinks! Yuri was our server and he is a sweetheart.
Pretty basic stuff. Nothing to write home about. Kinda loud or I’m just old. Guac was standard
I loved this place. It was a fun place to go. Of course I filled up on the chips and salsa. I loved the margaritas. I had a chicken burrito and it was very fulling. The atmosphere was fun and they have a nice bar to hang out if there is a wait.
I used to be a big fan until I realized this place has average food quality, bad guacamole, overpriced margaritas and horrible service half of the time. Last time I went it took the waiter 30 mins to give us our check after we were clearly done eating. The place is popular because of the little Mexican option in NYC. It will get the job done but nothing to write home about.
As one of my neighborhood restaurants, I have been dying to eat here since the beginning of the pandemic...and I finally got my chance. It was delicious! I only wish I had been able to eat more and sample so many dishes. Darn these dental implants! I have one more month and then I plan on going to town! I cant wait! No one should be on a soft diet for 4 months...IT IS TORTURE! I will give you my new and improved report sometime in March...yum!
Best ambiance ever. Calimari was delicious, shots where amazing and excessive (as they should be). Overall great experience, Im planning my next visit. BEST PLACE TO VISIT or have it become your regular spot (like mine).
We stumbled upon this place, like the disillusioned tourists we were. What a great place!Fish tacos were amazing. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Oddly, although I have lived in the neighborhood a very long time, never went in until recently. Went for a late dinner but think it would be better for a brunch. Dishes are Mexican fusion and I found the flavors good but a bit delicate for Mexican (compare it to Zaragoza a block away).
I was skeptical about going here for dinner because the pictures of the food on Yelp and Google did not look so good. But I’m glad that I went! I loved the food, and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend this place, it also has good outdoor space for the summer months!
It may not look like your upscale Mexican restaurant you find in Union Square or SoHo, but the service and food are just as good here, if not better (and more reasonably priced). El Camion’s dark decor gives a more dive bar vibe and they do in fact serve up a strong margarita, but I’m here to eat. We ordered the chips and guacamole, steak fajitas, yucca fries, and braised pork shoulder. Chips and guacamole easily fall short at some spots, but there’s just enough salt and lime juice in the guac that balances this one. The chips weren’t too salty and they offered enough chips (we all know that’s always an issue). The steak fajitas, sautéed with peppers and onions and served with 4 warm flour tortillas, also came with yellow rice and black beans. I highly recommend this dish. The steak was well seasoned, cooked medium rare, and was juicy and tender. The braised pork shoulder had a tomato based sauce (not what I expected), but was delicious. The meat easily fell apart and was very tender. The yucca fries were great. Crispy and included a side of guacamole and salad. If you’re looking for a solid Mexican spot with more than just tacos, go here.
First time eating at this Mexican restaurant and the food was really good.
Loved this place! Best fajitas we have ever had. The mojitos are delicious and so is the salsa. The guacamole is fresh and has a lovely, spicy finish. The elote (seasoned grilled corn) was tasty. The restaurant was packed but we still received precise and prompt.service.
Young & Bright Atmosphere ✨Lovely Spanish Cuisine 👍Delicious Entrees 🌮 & Beverages🍹Great Service 🤵🏻🤵🏻♀️
The al pastor and carne asada tacos are some of of not the best tacos Ive had in the city. They pair especially well with the large margaritas. Service was very good and timely with spot-on recommendations. Definitely a place to frequent.
I love their food by the way I regret to say they were not letting me sit down on their outdoor area today because I’m planning to order only elotes, chip& guacamole and couple margaritas. It’s estimated over 50 dollars + tips. And he wasn’t even trying to be polite to reject and being rude, giving me a face like I’m asking him a favor. So sad I lost one of my favorite restaurants.
Loved the atmosphere, music and lively chatter. the price is great for what youre offered. Get the Brunch special ! You pay 20 for a main and a drink.I had the guac and nachos for appetizers, and they were delicious. Also had the steak and eggs burrito with a side of rice and beans. The steak was to die for, soo soft and packed with flavor. But there was soo little of, literally maybe 5 pieces the rest was all scrambled eggs. The rice and beans were also good. But then again.. you really cant go wrong with rice and beans :P
I really wish I could give this establishment a better review, but as someone who absolutely loves Mexican food, I was heavily disappointed with the food and drinks here. Its a small and very well decorated restaurant. The service was great, our waiter was courteous and the hostess accommodating and the wait for food and drinks was not long, but.... for those who like authentic Mexican cuisine I have to say this is NOT it. I am aware of the location but #1 if I order guacamole as an appetizer I expect to receive more than less of 1/4 a cup of guac (as a baker I can tell). #2 The shrimp diavolo was good but could be better. #3 An order of quesadilla is basically enough to feed a toddler, and the cilantro rice lacked cilantro (🤨🤨). Now the margaritas were strong which I LOVE but was a bit heavy on the fresh lime juice (which we all know causes major heartburn afterwards). I wish I had pictures because everything looked so yummy when served, yet fell a bit flat at the end. Sorry...
I am SUPER disappointed in my last delivery. I specifically asked for no avocado ingredients on one particular order because the person I was ordering for is deathly allergic. I don’t know how much clearer I could have made it. The delivery came and it’s as if they completely ignored the request. How are people with eating restrictions supposed to feel serviced properly when their needs are being ignored? I want a refund. She can’t eat the order at all. Her order is smothered in avocado.
We had to grab our own menus. Owner laughed at the idea of bringing us chips & salsa, then brought us one small (for a group of six) bucket of stale chips. It was too loud and too dark. Owner & waiter spent more time chatting than serving.
Great little restaurant! Chimichangas were awesome! Margaritas were a slight let down as they tasted like those pre mix kind. But still a great place
Is my first time coming into this restaurant. I never felt so humiliated in my life. I was waiting to be seated with my son, and this hostess, whoever he is, just ignored us and took the people behind us . We have to walk or self out of the restaurant we didnt even get no greeter from anybody on this place I feel disappointment. Because I dont understand, I dont know if its racism or whatever It is but never in my life I felt like this in another place specifically when Im with my kid what a suppose to tell him the waiter ignores us because were not of his like get out it here is 2024 Saturday 5:00 pm I dont want to get anyone in trouble but it should be tough to your employees that who ever comes first should get served first no matter the ethnicity.
El Camion Cantina is one of my favorite spots for a Latin inspired brunch. The food is fresh and amply portioned, and the prices are exceptionally reasonable for the area. I’d highly recommend the huevos diablos and a frozen Margarita.
I loved veggie Chimichangas and their green salsa.
Such a cute neighborhood spot! Came here with my friend who is vegetarian and she found lots of options. She loved the vegetarian taco. We both loved the margs!!
Perfect for a margarita at the bar ($5 during happy hour and good!) with great conversation. I did notice a very dissatisfied customer who received pretty poor service from a waitress but the guy behind the bar was lovely to me.
The food is fine, but the frozen margaritas are some of the best around. Britt Daniel, lead singer and guitarist of Spoon, rated them the best in New York, and I completely agree
Solid Mexican restaurant with all of the expected, traditional options. It always pleases but never wows. So why I rated a 4 versus 5. Very consistent and dependable.
Everything about this place is amazing. I come to brunch here every Sunday and I cant get enough!! The deal is great - you get an entree for about $10 with a free drink and coffee. Cant ask for more in the city! The food is DELICIOUS!!!
The huevos rancheros were great! Came with a complementary margarita too! Quite busy on a Saturday but good crowd
Good food, better drinks, and great staff
Great service and delicious food and drinks, everything beautifully arranged. We had a wonderful time. Love the heated outdoor seating (very safe with dividers)!
Amazing brunch spot. Havent done any other meals there but done brunch 3x.Coffee is strong and good. Drinks are tasty.I recommend the huevos diablo and chilaquiles (sp?). So delicious!
Great food, beautiful presentation and the happy hour margaritas are delicious. Most notably the food quality is consistent every time you p and the staff are always helpful and professional. I 💙 el Camion
Great food, one of the better fundidos but even better drinks all around. Good deals, get packed fast and easily but always attentive staff and fast turnover. Classic go to spot when in the area
As a mixologist myself, the drinks are on point. Skirt steak tacos are the truth. Definitely try the red sangria margarita and a mint margarita.
Good sit down Mexican place. Can get busy during the prime hours. The food is pretty good and margaritas appropriate. Nothing really stands out about the place, but is the largest seating Mexican joint in the East Village.
My comfort food. I love coming here and getting the taco salad. The quality of the food is always great and their drink selection is unique. I love the Vampire marg (sangria and marg).
I give this a 5 because it is what it is -- which is a straight forward Mex place, unpretentious & casual. Ok so the walls are all black, not my choice making it darkish... but the food was very good. If youre in the east village and have a hankering for Mexican it is a good choice.
I thought it was very good and reasonably priced. I had the chicken tacos and the tilapia tacos. Both were very good. Service was also very good the ambience was nice. I would definitely go back. I would give it a 4.5
Average relative to the high standards available in the area
Only had the tacos a few times here and I keep forgetting how tiny they are. Even by NYC standards, these taco portions are small. They are more like an appetizer. Other dishes are likely normal portion sizes. Drinks/margs are great though for a quick and casual spot.
Fabulous meal! Had The Duck. Mouth bursting with flavors of fig reduction, sweet potato puree & the grilled asparagus. Excellent service!
Hanger steak was phenomenal and fajitas were solid.Elote was okay and the white wine was subpar. But the steak and accompanying yuca fries would bring me back.
This place is amazing for brunch. Entrees are less than 15 bucks with a mimosa or bloody Mary. The service is good, the food is good. Really nothing bad to say about this place.
Ok so attempted to do Fat Buddha one Friday evening with a girlfriend, but not knowing the environment and area. We found it wouldnt be the spot for us to have a great dinner and catch up, though the 4 hour happy hour was extremely inviting. So in our hunt to rectify the issue and quickly we came upon this wonder. The hostesses were inviting and helpful in suggesting the best dishes at the time. The drinks were heavenly and service was on point. I recommend signature mojito camion (awesome!). This particular evening (because I will be going back) I had the mahi mahi special over white rice, roasted pineapple and and cream corn sauce. My girlfriend had the duck which she liked. We also had a side of brussel sprouts that grilled or sauteed either way they were Delish!
Ive been here a few times and the quality of the food is really good. I had quesadillas, tacos as well as the tortas. Only issue is the service even when the restaurant was not crowded was quite slow.
My favorite East Village spot for margaritas. By far the best jalopeno habiscus margarita Ive ever had. Frozen margs are also very good.
Food is on point, and drinks get you there!!! Overall, it was a nice experience 👌 👍
The food is good, drinks are excellent. Those are the only reason I would go back for. Owner or the gentleman thats infront is a bit rude , his energy is a bit off.
Great steak quesadilla and cocktails!
Perfect service the waitress attended to our every need and was very polite as well as the rest of the employees. Great place to grab a bite to eat.
I really love the food, the drinks and the vibe is really good love it.
Loved the wings. Kiara our waitress was amazing. Great location, I had a great time!
We went to celebrate a birthday and they definitely made it a great time!
Evey nice. And food always good.
I love this place! The food is amazing the drinks are nice and strong in the brunch is a great deal if not the best in town
We originally tried to go to a restaurant across the street who’s host disappeared so we decided to try El Camion. I’m so glad we did! Delicious food and margs and warm service. Portions were average and we left full- and with a to go marg!Steak fajitas were super tasty and the carnitas burrito had a fantastic flavor. 2 margs, a soda, and two entrees were $68. Not bad for NYC.
Great service, delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. The Enchilada’s were delicious, and great summer drinks
One of the best tamarind frozen margaritas Ive had!
My partner and I love getting takeout from here. The portions are good and the staff are friendly and accommodating!
Great and fun brunch. Offering a free mamosa, bloody mary. Affordable $12.00 - $16.00. Or your choice of delicious Mexican dishes
Got the steak fajitas. For 18$ its a good amount of food. Steak was cooked well and all the veggies had a nice char to them.
Good food, the drinks so amazing but the service is bad
A little expensive for what it is but the steak in the quesadilla was very good and so was the guacamole. The margarita tasted strong too
Avoid at all cost. Rude. Lots of attitude. I called them to make a reservation; after we showed up (on time), I was told that my name is not in the computer, so well have to wait till 5 other parties get their table. Told them to f#*! themselves and left the place.
Pros: Typical Spanish food. Not bad and has taste to it. Price was average.Cons: The portion is small.
Highly recommend this place, they have the BEST margaritas, good food and dogs are welcome!!
I like this restaurant, because it is simple and good. Frozen margaritas are perfect. Good for diner and brunch! Try the Diablo eggs for brunch.
They have amazing margaritas and consistently good food and service. Ive been going for years and they are definitely a neighborhood staple.
Brunch: Excellent value for money! Was walking by this place around noon on a Saturday, saw the crowd and thought it must be good since it was so popular. Waited for 10 min for a table and had a great chicken chilaquiles and eggs benedict with mimosas for only $22 total (excluding tip).
Chill place for brunch
IMO, Best value brunch in NYC. The wait can get a little long and it would be nice if they did texts or something because there isnt space to wait but well worth it.
Great place to have a margarita sitting on the sidewalk.
Very solid food and great service. Got the breakfast burrito and it was great.
Terrible customer service and terribly managed. Ordered my food through them and they said that they never received it after I showed up. Also told me they did not even know when they would be able to refund me for my order for awhile because they are so unorganized and have no idea what’s going on. The food also looked terrible. Do NOT eat here.
Had a great time with my wife. Good food and great drinks
Cheap and great, some orders include the margarita which is very yummy, they also have the frozen kind with lots of flavours.
Been here many times. Pre Covid this was one of my go to Mexican joints. Post Covid it has declined in service. I will still give it 4 stars hoping that the service returns to where it should be.
Perfect Mexican restaurant with the best chorizo tacos I’ve ever had.
Such a great place. Great food and service. Definitely recommended.
No-frills good food, complimentary drink with brunch (our bloody mary was actually good). Very solid choice for brunch :)
We stopped by for lunch. The service was excellent even though there was only one person covering the bar and tables. The waiter was friendly and provided prompt, attentive service. The place is roomy and the vibe is welcoming and comfortable. The food wasnt amazing Mexican food, but it was tasty and we enjoyed our meals. Prices were reasonable.
Friendly staff, delicious Mexican food, and lovely selection of tequila. Good place for a boozy brunch.
Fantastic lunch. Cool friendly vibe. Sangria & salsa stand out but all fresh and yummy.
I decided to leave a review even though I wasn’t, but Id thought it is important for other customers to know and perhaps the owner of the restaurant will see this, I went with a friend and I ordered a chicken quesadilla yuca fries, and she got a chicken Fajita, as my friend was eating her food she was chewing/found a finger nail in her plate!!! We immediately called our female waitress and later on asked for the manager who was also a female, the manager who I did not get her name seemed like she did not care she was literally laughing and said it never happened before. After that, this guy with glasses who works there came to our table and dropped of two shots of tequila and we were confused because me and my friend never asked for them nor did the guy even knew what was happening all he said was “idk it came from the bar” they probably thought we were just some young girls who would be fine after what just happened and brushed it off by offering us shots. Honestly I was so disappointed of customer service it was so bad. Also our female waitress who is short and with black hair she wasn’t helpful with me, when I asked her can I change my drink because I did not like it and it was too spicy she said I could not change it and would have to charge me if I decided to get another drink, mind you I only took one sip. I work in the restaurant industry as well and we never have a problem switching the drink if the customer does not like it as long as the beverage was not empty. Please make sure what is inside your food & posted pictures along with the review so it can be seen
Taco Salad is amazing and if youre looking for an appetizer, the cilantro rice or elote are fantastic! Love this place!!
A great spot for brunch on a budget. Excellent cheap food made even better with the addition of a free drink!
The steak tacos were really good. Not enormous but cheap $12 for 3 and enough food for me. Outdoor covered seating as well which works well in the rain.
The mole was delicious. Habanero margarita was spicy! Would come back to try a few other things.
Service was slow for a brunch day and the food was ok nothing that really amazed me
Been coming here for brunch for 5 years. They had to start charging $2 for bottomless coffee instead of a free drink and/or coffeethis was the first price increase in 5 years (incredible)! the staff is very friendly, the wait isnt too long. love this place.
My friend and I got food poisoning after visiting. Good food, negative experience. Would likely not be back.
Amazing drinks and food. You must try the El Camion Mojito!!
Solid, cheap brunch spot. Complaints about service are overblown, mostly from non-New Yorkers who expect Chicago style treatment everywhere they go.
Best Mexican brunch try the huevos diablos, chilaquiles, margaritas for sure the eggs Benedict with poblano sauce , really good.
Great TexMex Menu. Great appetizers. Open late. The drinks are exceptional.
The food is great, the drinks amazing but the dessert is mind blowing🤩
Kiara was really attentive and great. everything she recommended was great.
Good portioned food with alot of flavor. friendly staff and relatively good service
Delicious food and wait staff was attentive.
The food is delicious and flavorful ! The drinks a perfect balance of power and taste !
Very tasty food and friendly staff! Will definitely be returning in the near future.
Some of the best mexican/spanish/latin food in the east village! Im a big fan of their coca-cola carnitas, and the green sauce that comes with it!
This mojito was really good🤗Instagram📸:shihomatsuoka
Good place for some drinks & frozen margaritas, the food no really much!
Brunch was very good, inexpensive, and brunch entrees come with a frozen Margarita.
Incredible service ! Attentive , caring ! Yummy guacamole, great drinks
Great ginger be-yotch margaritas during happy hour are AWSOME!
Where were all these good Mexican restaurants when I was younger? Good food, good staff, and a great bartender.
Food is overpriced BUT the margaritas are everything! Especially during happy hour
Great brunch deals- highly recommend the huevos diablos plate.
The good news is that pandemic pricing has not driven brunch prices up. Bad news is that a cocktail is no longer included. Its still a good East Village deal and service is always pretty good. My last visit had over salted bloody Mary mix but overall its a good Mexican East Village spot.
Best Margaritas in New York City. I went with my boyfriend and we had such an amazing time! Great service and super polite! Good prices too. I got to take a few drinks to go 🤭
Came for brunch and had the burger, didnt regret it. Probably wouldnt come here though if I was looking for Mexican though.
Liked some of the old school music but found that the tables were way too close together. The carnitas tacos I ordered were good in flavor but the meat was a little tough. It needed a lot longer cooking. It was also greasy. The oil left my fingers orange. They also need to put an actual light fixture with an actual light in the bathroom. It was so dark. I couldnt believe it. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that they werent on the premises. Dont know if Id go back
Food is OK if somewhat unremarkable. Their brunch deal includes a free drink.
Great food, amazing drinks, worlds worst customer service :( sad because everything else is so great they desperately need new/retrained employees.
Best food and drinks. Frank is the best bartender On the the lower East side. Bar none!!!!!
Great place and good food. Not kid friendly at all.
Great little spot to enjoy and good Mexican quality food! Victor and Egle where awesome and very friendly!I had Michelada and Hot Bee-yacht for drinks and steak quesadilla for lunch!Would come again
We had a great brunch and good service.
Very nice place. Really good environment and food. Thank you Lericka!!!!
Great staff, bueatiful place and most defenitly good food.
Great restaurant, Highly recommended!
Awesome drinks...not a fan of the food...guac is great!
Far from being Mexican food. Doesn’t taste bad, but it is not Mexican.
Good food but the tin ceilings makes it a little noisy
Food is good, drinks are very good, bartender (egle) and server (fatima) very friendly girls but What type of Mexican restaurant doesnt play mexican/Spanish music?
Amazing frozen margaritas. Reliably great service, great food.
Have to try the juevos diablos
Great neighborhood spot for good Mexican (really good by NY standards).
Horrible food. Guacamole was carbonated (I something was spoiled/fermenting in it). Beans were watery and crunchy. Rice was cold and had a funny taste. Enchiladas arrived cold and bland. I will never order from this place again. Gross!
Purchased quesadilla meat bit tough..overall was not too bad however price bit much can go elsewhere n get same meal much less. n bit better.. 🍸
Quick service. Great Prices. Even better margaritas.
Queso fondido was not giving amazing. But the vibe and drinks were nice
Love everything about this place. The best place for Sunday brunch.
Lovely little place, good drinks, food and service!
-Good presentation, good flavor. Guacamole needed a little salt but it was fresh and almost perfect. It was served in the tiniest container which made it hard to dip the chips in though.-Good wings.-Coconut mojito was OK but there was no mint at all in it??-Burrito bowl was served in a tasty fried tortilla chip situation and that was delicious.-Affordable!
Vibes seemed cool. i didn’t really partake but seemed cool.
A bit loud but fun Mexican place.
Very nice place if you want to relax and eat goods!
Yummy Mexican food, and have great happy hour margaritas!
Nice atmosphere, good service but it was the playlist for me -semi old school hip-hop! The food - decent I had the pastor and cod fish tacos. They were good but I dont think Ive had the best on the menu. The medium sized margaritas and sangria was a decent price and 😋. I definitely will invest another visit to this spot --word is bond!
Still my favorite place for brunch 7 years after my 1st visit 👍
Their margaritas and quesadillas are the best 🤍
Bartender and whole staff was super nice, they played great music, excellent customer service
Great service here, good team of employees.
5 adults + 2 babies never worked out so well. We got there at 5pm (because babies) and were set up with exactly what we needed for outdoor dining. Service was kind and attentive. Food and drinks were excellent. This is my sisters neighborhood place and I’m sad it’s not mine; I’d be there weekly!!!
Very small portion but food was good
Food is great, people are great and the service is just amazing! We go there almost every other week.Huevos diablos, skirt steak tacos, and tamarind wings are my go to.
Been there twice I love the wings
Best Mexican Brunch in the East Village!!! Huevos Diablo are the best.
Came here with friends. The vegetarian tacos were a nice flavor-packed meal that had a lovely mix of squash, peppers, and beans! We had a great time and the service was wonderful.
They make amazing drinks and authentic Mexican food.
This is probably my favorite restaurant in all of Manhattan. Theyre amazing. The food is delicious. The drinks are always the best! They have many flavors for their drinks, too.the outdoor seating here is spacious. I felt they were organized at a safe distance from each other. I keep coming back because they keep me happy every time. I recommend El Camion Cantina, HIGHLY.
