Hidden Lane is New Yorks newest hidden gem, and my recent visit left me thoroughly impressed. I tried the Espresso martinis – both the regular and the chocolate one, and they were absolutely phenomenal. The chocolate variant had a perfectly balanced sweetness that pleasantly surprised me. The bars bi-level setup, lounge, and outdoor garden create an ideal entertaining space with a touch of old New York charm.The picturesque garden, illuminated by lit-up trees, adds to the ambiance. The recent renovations with barn-wood paneling and white brick, along with ornate brass accents, showcase attention to detail. The upstairs lounge features cozy seating, a fireplace, and a separate bar area. Steps away from Gramercy Park, Hidden Lane offers a delightful escape.The bars extended hours, open until midnight on weekdays and 2 am on weekends, cater to various preferences. Popped in here for the first time and was blown away by the cocktails!! The espresso martini selection was amazing. They definitely have a fun drink for everyone!!I cant wait to go back when its warmer out and enjoy the backyard they have!!

This place really is a hidden gem! At first it’s a regular bar but their back patio is so cute! It doesn’t feel crowded / crazy - you can actually hang out and have a good conversation. We got a few drinks and sat their for hours. Would highly recommend!

Nice vibe, cozy place. Beers are reasonably priced.They were out of all their drafts when we went, but it was a Monday night. Still had some things in bottles and plenty of cocktail options.

Lovely space and inner patio but the drinks were simply mediocre at best. $34 for two cocktails that tasted like a failed experiment in mixology just isn’t going to cut it.

We had a fantastic time here! My spouse and I booked it for an after-party for our wedding and it was so nice to have the private space where our attendees could hang out with us. The staff were super helpful and responsive throughout. It was a great value and reasonably priced with great drinks. Highly recommend for any function!

It was fine. It’s a cute little bar in a good location with a fair variety of drinks. They don’t serve food, which made us leave early. Seating was very limited but I’m sure the idea is based on rotation. No one seemed particularly friendly but our drinks were OK and at least there was AC. I’d prefer if they had some small bites to choose from

I celebrated my 30th birthday here and it was a great time. Our bartender did excellently with our drinks. The venue itself was cozy. We were able to rent out the top floor which was spacious enough for my 25 guests. The venue was also very accommodating to let us decorate however we wanted and allowed us to play our own music. Overall, it was a great place to host a party and somewhere id definitely go to again just for a casual hangout with friends!

Love this bar! The happy hour is until 8 and we first ordered peanut butter espresso martini and spicy margarita which were so tasty and had to order another round which were yuzu high ball and another spicy margarita! The list of drinks are so creative and just makes you want to try all of them. I appreciated a high ball section in the menu. The second floor looked like you can host private parties. I hosted a company happy hour at this venue. The drinks and service were top notch. We had about 40 people so we were give n the entire 2nd floor with our own private bar and outdoor space. It happened to be raining the day of our event, but on a beautiful day it would have been great. Highly reccomend for after work happy hours!

We had our wedding party on the second floor of the bar and it was amazing! Tom, the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The drinks were delicious and came out fast! It was a perfect spot for our celebration.

I held my 23rd birthday at Hidden Lane this weekend and the whole experience was so incredible! I rented out the bar from 9-12 for my friends and everyone had a blast. The drinks were incredible and the space is so much fun for a large group. The staff was super accommodating and did everything they could to make sure I had the best time. They helped me coordinate decoration deliveries and set ups. Drinks were fabulous and the bar tenders were so friendly and fun. I was able to connect my own playlist to the speakers, which was perfect to get all my friends dancing! Would definitely go back to this bar on a regular night and would recommend that anyone hosts a private event here. The space is pretty big, with an upstairs and downstairs bar as well as a lovely outside area. Great atmosphere and vibes, as the bar is very well decorated!!

I recently hosted a private event on their upper floor. From start to finish, the Hidden Lane staff went above and beyond! It was so easy to book the space, having many different open bar packages depending on your budget. The manager, Tom worked with me in selecting a few cocktails for my group in addition to the open bar. He was also our bartender, nobody waited long for drinks and they were all consistent and delicious! They were also kind enough to let me supply a playlist to play for the event. I do not have a single complaint, wonderful venue and staff.10/10 recommend for a private event!

Hosted my birthday party (late 20s) here! It was fantastic. The drinks were amazing (loved the Spice Girls drink!). Super easy-going and communicative staff. Highly recommended coming here for a drink or to rent out for a party.

I really cant recommend hidden lane enough. Absolutely beautiful outdoor space, incredible staff, and well stocked bar. We hosted a private party here, and the management was exceedingly professional, responsive, helpful and all around great through the entire process. I look forward to visiting again!

Great place near Union Square. Clean and cozy enough to meet up with an old friend to catch up. Will definitely be back if Im in the area. The drinks were great. I recommend the Godfather shot!

A really good neighborhood haunt. Happy Hour drinks are cheap and tasty. The patio has plenty of seating. Come on a weekday to overhear some great first dates.

Had the happy hour margaritas (regular and spicy) and both were nothing to write home about. Prices are good though (happy hour is only margaritas and beer+shot), til 8 pm, which I appreciate. Looking forward to coming back in the spring to hang in the backyard.

Visited hidden lane the other night. What a cute spot! The music and decor give it a really chill vibe. My friends and I had a great time celebrating one of my girls birthdays. Not to mention, the drinks were YUMMY!

The drinks were good and were standard New York prices. It was surprisingly busy on a Monday night but the outdoor patio space was nice and gave a great space that wasn’t too loud to catch up with a friend and enjoy the summer night!

Really nice bar, good cocktails, friendly staff, super convenient location. I booked a space for an alumni event and everything went perfectly, guests were thrilled. There is also a nice outdoor space for warmer days.

Signature cocktails are pretty good. Nice decor. Classics like old fashioneds and Manhattan fall flat, though. Stick to their menu if possible. Good service, though.

Stumbled upon this bar on our way to a comedy show. The outdoor area is so nice and we were able to find space to sit down for 8 people at around 9pm!

Unreal staff! Very spacious bar that has an upstairs, downstairs, and beautiful outdoor space. Can not forget about the vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommended for any New Yorker!

I had my engagement party at Hidden Lane during the day on a Saturday and WOW is all I can say. It was SUCH an incredible space. The back garden is adorable, the drinks were amazing, the bartenders were so sweet, and the ambiance was a 10/10. They were so flexible from the moment I first called them and allowed us to either have a bar tab minimum of our choice, an open bar, or have our guests pay per drink. They ended up letting us have the space for longer than expected which was a very exciting plus. All in all, if you are thinking about having a private event here (ESPECIALLY during the day), I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our guests couldn’t get over how incredible the space was!

Went later on a Wednesday night for a quiet drink with a friend. They have two levels of indoor seating and one patio. The patio has padded benches and a few chairs. The upper level is similar but its indoors. The lower level is bar seating.The drinks were tasty and I appreciated the quiet vibes. Great for a small group of homies catching up or a cozy date at the bar or upstairs

One of my favorite bars in Manhattan! Perfect to grab a drink, to be outside or to host an event. The Happy Hour deals are hard to beat and the space is unique and comfortable. Big fan!

The bartender messed up a drink and used sprite instead of tonic. The prices were silly considering the place didn’t have a cocktail menu, even though it’s trying to pass as an upscale cocktail bar.

Hidden Lane is an incredible venue with an even more incredible management team. We recently rented out Hidden Lane for a private event and they could not have been more accommodating every step of the way. They were transparent and very easy to work with. Could not recommend having your next event here enough

Could give them zero stars if that was an option :) I’m a frequent reviewer and I don’t rate places low unless the experience is horrible so I certainly don’t take reviews lightly. Had a very racist experience here unfortunately and won’t be returning

Always a wonderful time here, WHEN I can get in. Its often too crowded. But if youre lucky enough to get a seat, you wont want to leave.

Threw a party on the second floor and it was great. Very spacious. We were able to decorate it and bring catered food.

Don’t pay in cash here. Bartender decided the change from my $20 for a $14 drink was all tip. First off the WELL margarita wasn’t worth 14, but to not give me my change was rude. Guy had been rude all night to begin with. Don’t pay cash or just find a better bar. Easy to do

I had a very large private event here and the GM and staff were super accommodating. No one was allowed upstairs unless they were a part of the event, the upstairs alone could accommodate 100+ people, and the place is beautiful and classy. They also cleared out the space ahead of the event so that when I showed up, everything was all set for guests to arrive. This is a gem of a spot and a great deal for people trying to host an event in NYC. Highly recommend!

A non profit I am on the board of was seeking a happy hour space for our first in-person event in over two years. Hidden Lane was the perfect venue! The outdoor space is lovely (it helped that the weather was great) and Tom, the manager, couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful in assisting us plan our event. He went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The bartenders were able to make specialty cocktails that our organization had pre-selected which were a big hit. The feedback from attendees regarding the space and venue were superb. The event was such a success and we are so thankful to Hidden Lane! Thank you again!

We come here for happy hour after work. It is quiet upstairs and good for conversation. Downstairs is more openly social woth a small but cozy outdoor area in the back for nice weather eves.

I was very excited when I thought I’d found a bar with an open-year-long heated patio in Manhattan in January. Unfortunately, it’s not true. My friend even contacted them in advance to ensure the patio would be open. I have chronic illness and can’t patronize indoor bars and eateries during the pandemic. They guaranteed it would be opened but they just flat-out lied.I pushed through 2 floors of a very crowded bar (where it seemed like no one was in charge) to find the patio door, but it was locked. I happened upon an employee cleaning up glasses and asked him if the patio was closed, and he shrugged as if it was obvious and also not important.It’s very difficult for people with disabilities to be sociable during this time of COVID confusion/denial. I’m not sure why a business would lie about being accommodating. What’s the point? It’s not like I could have possible stayed.Thanks for almost ruining my evening. (Luckily we found another bar with some outdoor seating. Not heated, but at least I could enjoy a drink and a chat like a regular person for a little bit…)

This bar is such a little gem! The bartenders are nice and it has good happy hour deals. The backyard is lovely and has a decent amount of space for the location. Even with many people back there, I didn’t feel crowded and there were enough seats to accommodate everyone. The cocktails are delicious too.

This is our bar! My husband and I go weekly here, great drinks, vibes and a lot of space!! Downstairs bar, upstairs seating space, plus backyard. Very rare in NYC! And big shoutout to Tom and Jose, they’re great!! We feel like home, every time we go.

We went for happy hour on a Fri - Got there at 5pm, which you probably need to do if you want to sit outside bc it filled up pretty quickly after that. They have a great spicy marg happy hour special, and a cute little outdoor patio that I imagine looks really nice when it gets dark out!

Came in today at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday hoping to catch the daily 4-9 PM happy hour deals advertised in their website. I ordered a house whiskey-coke and to my surprise, i was charged $12(supposed to be $6). I brought the attention to the manager aka also the person who made my drink and condescendingly refused to honor the prices advertised in their VERY OWN website. Mind you, this bar is barely a month old to have dumb excuses of misadvertised prices.Just to be a little objective, the drink i got was tiny and mediocre. Could barely taste the alcohol.Great atmosphere, meh drinks..
