Such a cool bar in NYC and the view is beautiful! Such amazing service. Arielle the bar tender is the best! She’s kind and has impeccable service. It was very well kept and clean. Love the vibes on this rooftop! Will definitely be back with friends.

Had an amazing time on the rooftop bar!! Cocktails were perfection and the bartender (Arielle) was so attentive, charming and fun! She went out of her way to recommend local attractions and cocktail suggestions!! She is a whole vibe!! She is genuine with her passion for sharing her NYC knowledge, which is extensive! I only meant to spend a half hour but ended up spending a few hours!! 10 out of 10!! Highly recommended 🤗

So glad I stumbled upon this bar! The view was absolutely beautiful but what topped it off was the great service. I had the pleasure of meeting Arielle and she recommended and made amazing cocktails. Truly made my night with my girls unforgettable! We will definitely be going back in the future

Absolutely love this venue!! The service and bartender was amazing, she communicates well without having long wait for another drink. Stopped here for a couple drinks as we waited for friends. The bartender Arielle was amazing, her service was perfect. She even made some recommendationsfrom the menu and everything was great.

The scenery is breathtaking, though the drinks are quite expensive. The venue often hosts private events, so even if youre a guest at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, you might be asked to come back later due to an ongoing party. Hotel guests should be given some preference, even though the High Bar is managed independently. During our visit, the terrace was off-limits, so we had to appreciate the views from indoors. While it seems they dont offer food, the music playlist is superb. Despite everything, I would come back just for the views.

They have amazing staff here. The sunsets are beautiful in the evening. The night skyline is also beautiful if you cant make it there for the sunset.They have a good sound system and dance parties. My favorite one is the westie rooftop for west coast swing dancing.

From her warm smile to her impressive ability to craft delicious cocktails, she went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. She made me feel like more than just a customer. I came to this bar a couple nights ago and I had such a great experience. The view of the city was breathtaking and as someone who is very picky about her cocktails, Arielle did a fantastic job and was also very friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful views, but expensive drinks. Private parties are often held here, so even if you stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, you will find yourself being told to try again another time as there’s a party. The hotel guests should be granted some sort of priority even though the High Bar is privately managed. When we visited they said the terrace is closed, therefore we had to enjoy the views from behind the windows. I don’t think they serve food, but they have a great selection of music. Overall, I would turn back here for the views.

My bartender Arielle was the best & very personable. 2 drinks in & I felt like I’ve know her for years. Drinks were excellent, good vibes, people, & rooftop had an amazing view!

Situated on the 35th floor, its a +/-15 min walk from the square to this rooftop bar. Overall nice view, and and inside and small outside sitting area. Cocktails for 15 and imported beers for 10, so normal prices for nightlife in the big apple I guess.

Not impressed. This is located on the top of the Double Tree by Hilton and it is not Hilton brand/ franchise quality. No bar menu or prices. Cocktails are $20 for 1 shot drinks and not well mixed. A beer will cost you $13. Went outside to see the sky line. Trash was sitting around. Everything was run down and dumpy. They didnt have many customers at all. Seats outside didnt have cushions so you couldnt sit down. No heaters for outside area. There appeared to be somewhat of a DJ but no dancing area. Not worth your time and definitely not your money. There are way better places in NYC to spend time.

Loved the space. Bartenders were nice and served pretty fast, the music was great! That rooftop was really spacious and I loved the design of the space. Loved that there was a smoke section separate from the rest of the bar. Would go again!

I am here in new york for the weekend and was looking for a decent rooftop bar close to my hotel. This one came up and the reviews looked good. After realizing it was actually on top of the double tree, me and another guest made it to the top where we were charged $30 cover fee but received 2 free drinks. The view was decent and music were decent but thats about it. The bartenders were very standoffish and came off rude. A few reviews previous stated this. My drink was very small but decent. However the other guest drink was undrinkable. They dont have many options besides liquor. No beer or alternatives like white claw apparently. If you have to pay the cover to get in… its not worth it.

I went on a Monday, but it was still ok. Only had a few Coronas.

Big shout out to Jay from the security team. My phone was dropped and moved around by a couple different people. Jay maintained the integrity of his security job while assisting myself in finding my phone.I gave up all hope and as i was walking out the door, jay came down the elevator with phone in hand.He an awesome employee and deserves recognition!

Great views of the city for ultimate nightlife. There is a private area, there is a lounge area, there is a dance area... and more. 😊 Crowd is mix.. the drinks are great. Music really depends on who is the DJ that time. When we were there, music was great! Overall, if the music is not great for your taste, you could always enjoy the 360• views of the city. 😊

I took a friend/brother for his birthday. We were referred to this place by someone at another hotel. We had a great time. The music had us moving. The food was delicious. The drinks are pricey and they could use bigger glasses, but it was good. The server was a professional young woman. I will definitely come back again

Sensual Bachata on Wednesdays, the best place for Bachata dancing, with a spectacular view

We went late on a Saturday night when it should have been busy, but it was completely dead! My friends and I started dancing to try to spark some life in the place, but the managers wanted the place to stay boring and told us to leave. Not a good experience. There are plenty of other bars that dont charge a large cover like this one that you should choose to spend your night at!

For the views this is wonderful. During the week the bar is relaxing, on the weekend wear comfortable shoes as seating is scarce outside. The volume of the music is not intended for conversation. Typical bar prices. Its the views, it is the views.

Dj was great and the view was nice as well. Theres also an outside area for smoking and a breath of fresh air! Only downside happened 20 minutes before closing where my bf was kicked out and Im still not sure why? We were just dancing with my other friends when these big bouncers aggressively grabbed him to throw him out. Maybe they confused him with someone else? But left me feeling frustrated and we never got an explanation.

If you are planning to go rooftop bar hopping in NYC. Definitely try to stop by High Bar to get some incredible skyline views. I probably wouldnt stay for more than a couple drinks. Its a great place for rooftop photos but thats about it. I probably wouldnt have high expectations for anything else inside.

Total ripoff.Worst gin&tonic ever, served in a tiny little plastic cup.Bad music way too loud, nobody danced, nobody was able to talk, only the dj had fun.Furniture from a garage sale, piled rubbish in the corners.Never again.

BUT they played the same song over and over and we sadly witnessed a group of people young being abruptly kicked by a security guard and all of a sudden all of the security guards were kicking them out Apparently because they were asking about the sudden drinks price change in the middle of the night. It ended up being a bad experience for us

Fun venue to use for events. The rooftop is great and has two bars: one internal and one external, on the 39th floor (R).

The view is pretty nice and the music made for a good party. But the bartenders clearly didnt enjoy their job, so the drinks were sloppy and disgusting, didnt have all the ingredients to make an old fashioned and still charged $20+ for the piss-like result.

Usual New York prices for drinks, but this view is a must see. A cool spot to hang out with people and dance on the weekends. The dance floor isnt too big, but it gets the job done.

This is a typical Hells Kitchen tourist trap. Door people are extreamly rude and feel like they are gods. They would not let me in without a $100 bribe. Second drink prices are expensive. Also they are not good with IDing, they let in a 19 year old that was taking about her fake ID when in front of me (not my place to say anything). Just avoid this place unless you like overpaying and hanging out with underage kids. If you want a roof nearby go to Cantina Rooftop.

My guest and I kindly asked DJ JON QUICK to play 1 (one) song on the night of July 2, 2019. He said ok I was actually going to play that song next. However, 10 songs later he never played the song. It was special request because we celebrating a birthday on a Tuesday and purchased 6+ champagne bottles. The song we requested was Club Goin up on a Tuesday. We kindly asked him once again because weve been waiting. He refused and instead shouted out on the microphone... NO SPECIAL REQUEST GO HOME TO PLAY YOUR OWN MUSIC. Wow! that was super RUDE! He was only catering to his own friend requests that were directly in front of him. DJ JON QUICK does not deserve to work at the HI BAR for not respecting peoples time and money at this establishment. A DJ is required to provide an enjoyable music service for everyone not just his friends. And if he had a little too much to drink this night. He should be reprimanded for drinking while on duty. His own friends even came over to us to apologized for his behavior- that says a lot of Mr. Jon Quick. HI BAR you will continue to lose high end clientele with this DJ Jon Quick. Hes a drunk rude DJ and doesnt deserve a position in a prime location.

I came here Saturday night while in NYC for Fleet Week. I was with 2 active duty Marines both IN UNIFORM (one being A COLONEL), and they were both charged $20 cover. It was the most disrespectful, unpatriotic, and straight up disgusting thing I have ever witnessed in my life. If you are a true patriot, do not give this bar your business.

Poor customer service! Didn’t even make it up to the roof top. We went through the wrong entrance and was told our behavior was unacceptable. Then to be told it was cash only. Don’t mind taken money out the atm but at this point why would I even bother to spend my money here. When me and my husband were treated like we have no class.

Went thr for New Year eves party. Had to stand in a long Queue for hours and the place was small for the total number of people present. They shouldnt have sold that many tickets in the first place.

Nice rooftop view of Port Authority and Tunnel. Creative cocktails and small bites. The small bites are literally small bites though (and pricey), need to buy a few plates of you are hungry.

This is a nice rooftop for happy hour and has a great view of the Empire State Building. The bar is located on the rooftop of the Hilton Double Tree next to Port Authority.

I went here for a dance party so I did not eat or drink there. The views of the city are amazing. The dance floor was a combination of smooth concrete and inlaid ceramic tile... so the floor wasnt great to dance on. However, the dance party was very fun.

This place is right over the hotel and has no problem keeping guests up with all the items in their room rattling from the music past 2am. Just know that if youre going here, youre ruining someone elses night. Please choose somewhere else.

Bar is cute and the outdoor rooftop is nice and large (and probably great when its warm out), but the bar charges a cover fee which really doesnt seem worth it at all. $25 for men and $10 for women. There was a DJ and a small handfull of other people there on a Friday evening.

Incredibly spacious, super awesome views, and friendly staff

The experience was fantastic. The DJ killed it all night long. Starting from like late 80s all the way too present. The atmosphere was clean, the Bartenders and Busboys/girls were phenomenal to us. All in all I rate this a wonderful bar atop a doubletree.

Terrible management they just close anytime they feel lazy and don’t want to work or if the place is not full enough ,they hold no constant hours , they will shut down the elevator to Hilton Guest and could care less about the hotel,this bar is subcontracted out and Hilton has no control over their one roof bar ,so that view with a drink your paid a premium for in your stay is denied , o would recommend for Saturday night only the rest is a risk for your date anniversary or vacation better go with something else or a plan B

They rely on me and I want to be if service.The Harlem Chapter for NAREB put this event together for REALTIST week.The ambiance was so calm, the crowd was positive. The staff was kind, I really enjoyed myself.

The bartender would not tell us whether or not the tip was included in the total cost of our drinks. We pointedly asked are tips included? and her response was simple um... And she simply trailed off, so we had our receipt printed and saw that the 20% tip was included. She handed us two cans, didnt pour them, didnt offer us a cup or napkin or anything. None of the managers knew what was going on and were dismissive and the space was small, disappointing, and overall lacked in any true New York atmosphere. It felt like one huge trap, massive scam, dont come here.

Watch out for the exorbitant service fee tacked onto your bill.

If I could leave negative stars I would. If you bought tickets they still will not let you up into the OUTDOOR rooftop even if the weather is cold with your coat. If you don’t pay them to hold your coat they will not let you up the elevator to the roof. They just want your money, not worth your time dealing with these clowns.

The bartender and the staff are fun, friendly and cheerful. Their positive attitude was helpful and made the experience there nice. The appetizers were also very tasty. Overall I had a good time. Definitely will go back to hang out for other happy hours. May also consider hosting events there too!

The bouncer at the Halloween event was bossy, trying to make everyone to check their coats even though these were part of their costumes and wouldn’t let anyone get to the rooftop for 30 minutes.There were no notice regarding mandatory coat check and it was a cold night, a lot of people who paid for their tickets left.Won’t return to this dump.

Great Place! This gotta be one of the best places to party in NYC they have great Dj’s they charge to people who are not staying at the hotel, drinks also very expensive but the vibe is great! The music is what makes this place amazing! Crowd is okay. Highly recommended even thou is pricey the experience will meet your expectations. This place, aside from the $15 cover charge (for non-hotel residents) is such a good place for dancing. People at every level of dancing attend this spot. From beginner to advanced level, you will find someone to dance with. Doesnt matter if you came with friends or by yourself. Great spot!

I brought all of my friends and family for a birthday party and when we stepped outside one of my family members didn’t know he needed a second stamp of a different color to get back in (none of us did). Was told he had to pay a cover charge again to get back in and as I was trying to explain to the woman we ere just there and he actually paid her she continued to tell me she can’t talk to me because I’m too overwhelming! I have never been treated so badly and a future birthday that was going to be there has been cancelled for this place. I will be telling all of my family, friends and coworkers to not visit this place ever.

Elevator didn’t work all the way to the floor, had to walk up two flights of stairs to get there escorted by employees. Told to go pay a cover which was not advertised ($10 for females, $20 for males), employees rude and above all treated guests in the hotel disrespectful.

I came with a few of my friends on a Sunday evening. We order food which took forever. When the food finally arrived, we were very surprised by the bite size items. Aside from the food being very minimal, the food was semi warm. The mini slider buns were extremely hard and seemed as though the food had been sitting out for some time, which I later learned it was. The only good item was the crab cakes (despite the quantity/sizing for the price). Because the waiter was attending to bottle servicing, she barely gave us attention. One person in my party, asked her for a drink and she responded saying she is only dealing with bottle service, so please go to the bar. Fast forward, as we were closing the bill, we realized the card she asked to hold at the beginning, was missing. She misplaced my card and id. But later found it. To sum this experience up, the service isn’t the greatest and nor is the food. The place is nice. But if you decide to go, eat before or after your visit.

One of the best rooftop bars in the city! The view is beautiful! The service is amazing despite the fact that place is always crowded! The bathrooms are clean and there is a guy handing out paper towel! The entry was cheap, but the drinks are quite expensive, but thats normal for the experience that you getting!

Came here on a Friday night for a drink or 2 with some friends. It wasnt too crowded at the time. Around 9pm or so. At about 11, 1130pm the younger crowd started to appear and that is when we left. Not a bad thing but if you are looking for a low key chill spot, late night is not the time. Go earlier for some amazing views and ambiance.

I have never been to a more boring rooftop. The vibe was dead. The attendance was scarce and the DJ just plays his tracks and doesnt adjust based on the dance floor...so good place to stand with a group of friends and grab a drink or finish a bottle at a table because the bar is tiny. View of some apartment buildings and a parking lot.

Its not a big place, but it is nice. There is a small bar inside and another one outside. The rooftop bar wraps around the building so you can see the sunset to the west. The views are pretty good.

This place was amazing!!! Came for a rooftop event. Great music and drinks. It was clean and the staff was great! Plus tge view was immaculate ! I cant wait to come party here again ! Its so worth it!!

Impressive views of the city from the rooftop bar! The dj had great music playing and I had a lot of fun dancing. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable about different wines. Overall great atmosphere!

Always a nice place to hang out. Much more fun, and formal, on the weekends with music and high energy. Much more relaxed but still nice, and always a great spot for pictures, during weekdays.

Drinks were $$$, but worth the view!!!

Very touristy and overpriced. Ridiculous cover charge, $16 cocktails, bad service, and a strange crowd... a lot of older groups/couples that don’t want to have fun or dance. Also, High Bar has seemingly deleted several of their 1-star reviews in an effort to falsely inflate their google rating. You really just can’t trust these guys.

Really nice bar with a great outdoor area

The location is great and the views are nice. I personally only go for bachata night. Its a bit small for dancing and the floor has several different textures making it challenging on turns.

Id give 0-stars if that was possible, since I didnt actually get to eat here, but I suppose a 1-star review will have to do since I did have some interaction with staff.For my first dinner date with my, now, partner I wanted to do something special. He had mentioned that hes never dined at a rooftop locale (and neither had I) so I booked a table for 2 and headed off to surprise him.Surprise indeed! They booked the rooftop for a private event, but never emailed/texted existing reservations to inform them. Instead I arrived and was told there were no reservations. I showed mine to the hostess and she said, Were not honoring those.I asked for a manager (maybe I can get a raincheck or something) and was told that he was busy upstairs and that I can go to the hotel lounge if I want. That didnt fit my plans for this special occasion. We did find a gem of a place a little later (check my other reviews).High Bar set it truly low. Poorly handled. No smile. No attempt to apologize. No communication skills. No second chances for them.

I literally wasn’t allowed to get into the bar for no reason. The bouncers are looking to get into trouble with people that want to pay their hard earned money to have a good time. Disorganized in every way. If you want to turn up do not go there.

The sights are amazing... Staff not so much. Really bad drink. I dont think he knew how to make a cosmo or old fashioned. Drinks are expensive.. But I usually wouldnt care if it was a good drink.. It wasnt..

Nice venue both inside and outside, but if you’re thinking about spending NYE there, don’t. Poorly organized. To begin, it’s NYE and everyone is dressed up. It was pouring outside and instead of checking everyone in inside their huge lobby, they had everyone line up outside in the pouring rain with no cover. Everyone was drenched. Also, one hour open bar which was fine, but wouldn’t even let people in, so by the time people got up there you had 20 minutes to get a drink; not to mention one bar in the entire place was open so you had to fight a mob to get anything. Rude staff & great DJ if you’re into all your favorite tunes from middle school/mostly throwbacks. Did have tasty h’orderves.

The view gets 3 stars! The skyline is beautiful and a great backdrop for pictures. The reason for shorting it two stars is because of the crowd. We had never been here before and didnt know what to expect, however, one thing we definitely did NOT expect it to be was a 21-24ish aged crowd. We spent the evening in a sea of what couldve been mistaken for teenagers making out all over the place and jumping around when good songs would come on. The DJ also didnt play much hip hop at all which was a little disappointing, but not as disappointing as the atmosphere. If youre over 30 and looking for a mature crowd, this is NOT the place. The security guard told me that the crowd is always young so there you have it.

Amazing views and my mule was very tasty, never had a mule that well prepared. Highly recommend!

Food was much better than a rooftop bar has any right to be and the drinks were beyond my expectations as well. The music was a little loud for a place with seating meant for intimate discussion and Im not sure I fully understand their reservation/seating concept but nonetheless I like this place and would recommend to a friend.

Went here on a Wednesday night specifically for the bachata social (there is a $15 cash cover). There was a lot of people dancing and a lot of people enjoying the outdoor part of the rooftop. People of all levels were enjoying themselves and anyone could ask anyone to dance. People who were more skilled were patient with those of us who arent as good.The bartender at the outside bar was oddly slow (considering this is new York and usually in this environment they tend to be faster/more efficient). However, the 4 star review is because my friend ordered her go to drink (a mojito) and she said it was awful. The bar took credit card without a minimum, or maybe we hit the minimum with the $15 mojito and the $5 water.

This bar is definitely not my favorite rooftop bar in NYC! The staff was ok and the drinks very expensive. 14 dollars for a vodka and tonic is high! Perhaps that is why they call it the high bar. Lol. I though that although the decor was nice and the views are nice. There was alot of clutter and the outside bar was not in good repair. I was disappointed! The Press Lounge is a much better option for drinks and view!

Danced all night. DJ was dope. Great community of dancers.
