KYU NYC was an excellent experience. We popped in for drinks and dessert. The whole restaurant is beautiful and the ambience is great. It has a small entrance but opens up in the main dining area. There is a good amount of decoration and plants that make it feel more open. The drinks were solid and the cinnamon roll was excellent!

1000/10 Recommend. Its been a while since Ive dined in NYC & raved about every single bite and sip of food consumed, but KYU got it.For my girls birthday dinner, we decided to do the tasting menu with wine pairings. They started us off with crispy rice and tuna (not pictured), crispy kale, roasted cauliflower, followed by the fried chicken and the stone pot fried rice. Everything was delicious and I would absolutely recommend everything but that crispy kale changed my life for the better. I need the Chef to tell me how to make that at home literally the perfect snack. The fried chicken was seasoned & fried to perfection & was the perfect blend of Korean & Black American spices. Its sat on a bed of spinach with a chipotle type sauce, and I will think about this dish for a while. For our main entrée, we had the short rib, grilled broccoli, and sweet potato. My God today. That chef was cooking like he owed somebody something I swear the depths of flavor & intentionality with each meal knocked my socks off.I was there last night & already plotting ways to go back today. So serious. Dont even think about it, just book your reservation.

The food and the service were both exceptional. This place is a must-try if you’re looking to taste something different and unique. The Korean fried chicken was a personal favorite, along with the udon noodles. For deserts, the coconut cake really was the most moist and delicious cake I’ve ever had. The overall ambiance, service and the food were great.

Craving for some Asian fusion cuisine? Look no further and make your way to KYU, an award-winning restaurant right in Soho. Make your reservations early because this place is packed. When we arrived, their friendly hostess brought us to our table walking pass the wood fired grill then revealing the exposed brick ceilings. With great music, dimly lit lights and clay walls, they sure know the vibe. Our amazing server Harold really went over the top. KYU has some one of a kind cocktails that will surprise you. We opted for the KYU experience which consisted of yummy appetizers, delicious entrees, sides, and a must order s’mores dessert. Krunchy kale is fantastic with drinks. Excellent venue and great brunch menu.Loved everything we got. Really recommend the eggs and the tuna crispy rice. Matcha pancakes were delightful as well. Cinnamon bun was crazy but you definitely have to share it with 2 or 3 people, its very sweet.Very fairly priced, all this was about 80 all up. Most dishes are 15-20, which is pretty much the same as a chipotle bowl but much better

There are many reason why to dine at KYU and while it starts with the food, which is exceptional that is quickly followed by the service.I have visited the Miami location several times and have finally made it into the NYC location. There are a few things to know…Fire sits at the center of this kitchen so be sure to order a few of those types of dishes as they truly sing. The portions are meant to share and are not small. On the top of the menu what they define as snacks, are appetizer size. Everything else comes on a full size plate. The cocktails are wonderful but not cheap so, if you are going will cocktails all night bring your Sugar Daddy/Mamma. That said they clearly use quality ingredients so you will be loving life after two of there cocktails. If you decide to skip over to the wine list there are many great options in all price ranges. After one drink I made the switch to a glass of wine but ended up having three, I should have ordered a bottle but…live and learn. There are signature dishes such as the short rib so be sure to discuss the menu with your server to find just the right dishes for your preferences. We started with the hamachi crudo which was so fresh it melts in your mouth. We moved onto two salads the crispy Kale and the chicory both were wonderful. The kale is akin to Kale Chips so you can’t shove enough of it in your mouth so you end up looking like a ravenous dog while eating as it is that good. The chicory is well seasoned and dressed with bread crumbs, it’s a big salad so be mindful. One of the true surprises was the chickpea sushi on crispy rice dish. Wow! Screw the tuna try this!My carbohydrate consuming guests ordered the noodles which was a surprisingly smaller dish and the duck rice which in my opinion was extremely bland and didn’t really get eaten.Normally I would have ordered the short rib (as it is a signature dish) but not everyone was committed to the meat route so I ordered the ribs. I am glad i did as they are delicious. It’s a nice size portion with lots of sauce over the most tender ribs that you can still pick up. I loved them.If you are a group definitely plan to sit at the chef’s table. It’s right in the heart of the action and while we we there they we having fun, I can only assume the staff were joining in.

After dining at the KYU in Miami a few months ago, I was thrilled to learn they were opening an NYC location. This place is incredible. Cocktails are delicious and the food is amazing. Good food and good service. The appetizers were delicious but the mains were just ok in my opinion. Would recommend the tuna crispy rice, crispy kale, and the Wagyu toast. Those were the highlights. I would say the highs were quite high but the ones that werent highs were very average for the price. The stone pot rice didnt have enough crispy sides to it. The Korean fried chicken pieces were a bit on the large side since it was the thigh meat and the drumstick. I think had they been the party wings, that might have tasted better. They had an interesting sauce that kind of tasted like cheese but the chicken needed to be dipped in it. I was really looking forward to the short rib but the taste was a bit to smoky for me. The pork guy was also a bit on the salty end for my taste.

Had a very early dinner here on Thursday just as they opened (I was dining solo and didnt have a reservation). NOTE: they were fully booked for the evening so I was happy to get seated. I ordered the tuna tataki which was AMAZING (probably my fave), the roasted cauliflower which is also fabulous and the mussels. For dessert I had a very refreshing sorbet with grapefruit. Plus, they make a fabulous Perfect Manhattan. I sat at the chefs table and met the chef and also had a chance to chat with some of the staff - all of whom were super excited to be at KYU. For a restaurant that was only open for one week, it was running on all cylinders. Very happy with the service. Highly recommend, with one caveat. If you care about conversation, I would come on the early side by 6:30-ish before the music gets pumped up to Miami-levels. I also happen to love the chefs table and would definitely ask to be seated here again.

Look, for folks who dont check the price of a restaurant before booking a reservation, there may be some sticker shock at KYU. Its an expensive, special occasion meal... but what you pay for is what you get here.Ambiance. Experience. Taste. All are delivered in full.Everything is divine and rich and flavor. The tuna crispy rice is the shining star, but dont sleep on the pork buns, duck burnt ends, or Thai fried rice.Make sure you get a table in the main dining area, thats where you get to take in the full scope of the atmosphere.

Cute place for a night out. Ambiance was dark, cozy and the bar was aesthetic. The food was amazing. We ordered the crispy tuna rice, crispy fried chicken, beef short rib and Japanese sweet potato. The crispy tuna rice had the perfect amount of crisp and melting tuna. The beef short rib was tender, well seasoned and fell off the bone good! The Japanese sweet potato had a good butter to cheese ratio and melts in your mouth. The crispy fried chicken was a bit too crispy and didnt have much meat. The drinks were also amazing and unique. Service was a bit slow since it got busy after we got seated

My girlfriends and I came here for dinner before we had to catch a flight. Service was fantastic and quick. Our short rib was excellent, melted in your mouth and tasty. I loved the refreshing lettuce wrap and sauce variety as well. Tuna crispy rice was also delicious and fresh, I highly recommend. For the sweet potato, the table was split, I personally did not enjoy the cheese with the sweet potato but others have, so it’s up to you to try. The fried rice was not popular amongst us, for $32, it’s very pricey and not that special. The hard texture of the rice was also not pleasant.

My Girlfriend and I went to this location for the cinnamon roll that went viral recently. Though looking through the menu, we decided to only get what we came for at the moment. Usually servers roll their eyes and are annoyed when a table skips the dinner and gets the dessert. Our server, the taller gentleman with the beard was super helpful and informative when asked some questions. Kudos to him for staying on top and being mindful of any possible food allergies. We didn’t feel rushed or treated differently for our relatively small order. Speaking of, the Cinnamon Roll lived up to the hype! So good ! The appetizers were great! The tuna crispy rice and halibut crudo were AMAZING!We had as main course the duck confit thai rice: it was extremely gingerly, you could hardly taste the other condiments. And there was just a few pieces of duck.We also had the filet mignon which was extremely spicy, with no warning. And we had the sweet potato as a side. The service was perfect. The ambiance was beautiful, very modern with high ceilings and modern layout, although too dark to read a menu with normal 20/20 vision. However, the most anticipated part was the worst - the food. Grilled cauliflower which was completely cold, rice dish that was overwhelmed with lemon grass, specialty drinks that were not special at all - just over poured with strong liquor and poor infusion of flavors. The only good dish was the short rib which slid off the bone, but even that was heavily oversalted.I wish they focused more on their menu and less on decor. Sad to say this place is a miss.

I visited the KYU location in Miami earlier this year and was so excited to visit KYU NYC, however there was a very obvious difference in the two. The food and drinks were immaculate in Miami, and while the ambience in New York was a vibe, everything else was pretty underwhelming. My $20 drink, very mediocre. The food was pretty average and didn’t meet my expectations. My table ordered a variety of dishes but I just was not impressed. While there I even noticed an employee, whom I later learned was the executive chef, come to the front and stare down a guest with a look of disgust and then disappear into the back of the restaurant. I couldn’t believe my eyes, and honestly I worried about him handling anyones food after that.

For $285 (before tip) between 6 people, I enjoyed one of my favorite meals yet in NYC. The atmosphere was sophisticated and inviting, with a decidedly upscale aesthetic. Compared to some of the guys sitting near me in sports coats, I felt uncomfortably casual in a t-shirt and khakis. No less, from the first plate to the last, I was delightfully surprised by exciting flavors and dishes.A few stand-outs:-Japanese Sweet Potato: best dish of the night by far. This was the tastiest thing I have placed upon my taste buds in months. The sweetness of the potato plus the creaminess and tanginess of the sauce on top. It’s a perfect dish. Expertly crafted to balance sweet and salty. Highly, highly recommend.-Korean Fried Chicken: it’s hard to mess up fried chicken. It’s also hard to get away with fried chicken at an upscale restaurant. This felt worth it. The breading was crispy and flavorful, the chicken perfectly quartered in drumsticks and thighs, and all topped with a curry-based sauce. Several of us were scraping leftover sauce off the plate.-S’mores Cake: I’m not even going to try to describe the ooyiness and gooeyness of this dessert. I don’t even enjoy dessert that much, but this was exquisite. A rich layer of chocolate, slightly burnt marshmallow, and an ice cream flavor we couldn’t quite figure out. Likely one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.Overall, 9.3/10. Some dishes didn’t land nearly as much as we had hoped (the maitake mushrooms were good, but seemed to be missing some herbal/spicy notes; the baby back ribs were a bit too over-sauced and messy). Nonetheless, this was a fantastic meal. Will highly recommend to friends and family.

There was too much rice to balance the fish and it just tasted like mashed potatoes. The rice bowl with crab also lacked flavor for 42$. I’d been super excited to try KYU specifically for the tuna crispy rice. It did not disappoint. The cauliflower, sweet potato, duck fried rice and desserts were also delicious. The Korean fried chicken was good but nothing out of this world. Our waitress Natalia was incredibly nice and helpful. Overall, we had a good experience, but for $100+ per person for just food (no drinks) the meal felt overpriced.

Made an unplanned stop on early Sunday evening. We thought we would get a drink and “snack” in the lounge. But saw the Sunday special that was too enticing to pass up - each guest can pick 2 menu items for $60pp. This allowed us to try 4 entrees and added 2 smaller starters. Started with a salad and tuna crispy rice. The finely chopped tuna was fresh and like iterations found throughout town, a good contrast to the crispy chewy rice block underneath. Liked the Korean style fried chicken and the server presented us with extra sauce because that’s how much he liked it! We ended up using it for a few of the dishes after. Surf & Turf wagyu hanger was beautifully cooked and flavorful but came with an oddly flavored shrimp with edamame and sauce. Sticky pork ribs and halibut were fine. The special also came with a robust bowl of Thai fried rice for the table. It came in hot pot which allowed for crunchy crust, but was oddly wet from sauce and egg. Again it is a great deal which allowed us to try a slew of dishes. And the cheesecake with hibiscus and raspberry is perfect light end to a rich meal.

Everything is exceptional, Chef Chris is a culinary rock star. The staff is amazing and the vibe is just perfect. As a KYU vet and knowing the original chefs from Miami, they’ve done the restaurant a great disservice by bringing in the new one to “carry on the legacy” if that was the purpose. These were big shoes to fill and he’s missed the mark.I tried NYC for the first time and let’s just say that won’t be happening again. The food is tasteless and not that it wasn’t expensive in Miami, but with the original chef everything was an experience and was well worth the price. Now it’s not, it’s overpriced bland food and drinks are so so, and that was it. Spent a lot and feel cheated as others mentioned in their reviews.Bring back the original chefs before this place gets a bad rep.

I was extremely disappointed with my Dinner The tuna crispy rice , the rice was so hard and sticky it was sticking to my teeth and was difficult to get off. The crispy kale was so oily , to me was inedible. The cauliflower was roasted head of cauliflower in a bed of fattening sauces. I make better toasted and seasoned cauliflower at home for $4. The shishito peppers were tasteless and I couldn’t eat them I told a few friends already don’t waste your money and eat here. It is beautiful though. Beautiful bar

Always a pleasure dining at Kyu. My boyfriend and I found Kyu on Instagram about a year and a half ago. Since then, every special occasion or date night is spent at their NY location. Everything on their menu is a hit. People who say it’s expensive/small portions - it’s meant to be shared - or at least that’s how we like to go about it - and honestly how everyone should. In my opinion, pricing is fair for the experience and the food never disappoints. We tend to spend a lot here - it’s hard not to when we know the food is a hit. This isn’t your average asian cuisine. Don’t expect your typical “appetizer, entree, etc”. Order what you please and your server will course it out to your liking.Hospitality is out of this world - just tonight our server went above and beyond to send us something on the house because we mentioned wanting to try it (forgot his name but made our evening one to remember). I’m in the restaurant industry myself so I can appreciate the hospitable atmosphere and they’re right on the mark. They do tend to get busy around 7:30PM most nights (as most places do, and good for them!) so opt for a 6/6:30 reservation time and dare to try new things. Can’t wait to try their Vegas and Miami spot! Thanks Kyu!

First and last time at this location!Subpar to say the least... its a shame the original chef left, you can really feel his absence in the quality and taste of this flavorless food, to top it off his replacement is a major downgrade and hes rude. While waiting for our seats, 40 minutes past our reservation time btw, we were stopped in the middle of our conversation to find him just standing and staring at us then when we caught notice he just walked away with a look of disgust, not welcoming at all.The drinks were weak and only ok, and we were told that based on expenses of items everything may not be the same as the original location. This being the response to why our $20 dollar cocktail was only a tad more than half way filled. I dont think we as the customer should have to deal with that directly and still have to pay the prices we paid. $400 dollar bill with the tip included we all had one drink, we couldnt stand to do another, and only a few items off the menu. I wouldn’t spend my money in here again and with all of the finer dining in NYC our money could’ve been better spent elsewhere!Hopefully the owners take notice and upgrade this place soon, its too new to be mid.

Had high expectations for this place due to the pricing and hype but unfortunately this place did not deliver for me. The food is just ok not worth the price and the portion size is very small. The tuna crispy rice was good but again a tad over priced for what you’re getting, it’s not the best crispy rice I’ve ever had. The broccoli was terrible, it seems as though they just popped it out of a frozen bag and threw it into a steamer. The drinks were very good, just wish they were a bit stronger. I would probably come back for happy hour but definitely not for dinner again

The tuna was good, the rice was like eating the clay pot rice. I got the eggs Benedict, it was good. We all shared the Matcha Japanese skillet pancake. It was like a soufflé texture for a pancake. The food was super delicious, the portions were very generous and the setting was very nice and beautiful! We initially booked for 13 and the restaurant accepted to accommodate 4 more of our people who showed up unexpectedly. Our waitress Natalia was very professional, friendly and did a great job handling our party of 17 people on her own!We were disappointed by the general manager who really demonstrated poor sense of business and hospitality. We were a party of 17 and were short of not even 2 dollars per person in our minimum spend a la carte. We were so full after ordering cocktails, bottles of wine, multiple courses per person, deserts, coffee, tea, desert wine and we still didn’t meet the min spend of 125 per person. The GM told us we didn’t choose the fixed menu which would have helped since it had smaller portions for 125 dollars (makes no sense it basically means it’s a rip off since you can get so much more a la carte…). When we asked to order to go food to meet our min spend the kitchen was closed and we could only get dessert. There were 3 different things we wanted to order that were not available throughout the night. We didn’t make a big deal out of it. When the GM refused to waive the 30 dollars that we were missing on our total bill to meet the minimum spend, stating it was a corporation with rules, it didn’t seem to be the right business response…. Our bill would have been roughly 2770 dollars instead of 2800 dollars on a Sunday night where the restaurant was almost empty.

Short cap: great for date night, night out with friends. Get the cocktails and bone marrow. Great vibes and music. If I could I would give this place 3.5 starsStars of the night:-cocktails were great, the tequila sour on the menu was my favorite-bone marrow dish with miso toast was phenomenal, my favorite of the night. It was buttery, umami packed and the pickles and herbs on top help really cut the otherwise extremely fatty meat-wagyu toast also great, the crispy bread was my favorite part and tons of grated truffle-the Japanese sweet potato…. Do not sleep on this dish! It tasted like a cream puff pastry you get at Asian bakeries and it was delicious-lastly crispy rice topped with tuna. Tastegreat, nothing different from what you get at a Komodo or any other placeThings I would pass on:-stone pot fried rice, was just okay. Wouldn’t order again. The rice was a bit runny for my liking-bok choy, one of my favorite veggies but somehow turned out bland and mushyThings that brought this otherwise great meal experience down to 3.5:-the bathrooms. Why is there a line like we’re at the bars? If one of the bathrooms are not working, someone should fix that. They are also filthy…. So take that how you’d like-so an individual clearing off our table accidentally spilled a whole glass of wine on the table. We understand these things happen, and helped him clean it off. But we had a full glass of wine and at $25/glass wouldn’t you maybe let the waitstaff know so they could address it or bring another one? Not to mention the wine did splatter on my friends white blouse and did not come out. Nope, we waited and finally we had to let the waitstaff know which is awkward and no apology from them. Now the reason I’m nitpicking at a restaurant for things like this which otherwise I would not be concerned with is because at over $200 a person and what is supposed to be a fine dining experience, it shouldn’t be an issue.

This experience was borderline insulting. When prices are that high, youre setting an expectation of a certain level of quality service and food. We received neither.1. Very unorganized staff - for 40 tables they had maybe 8 people walking around serving water, and only 2 waiting staff. We had to wait 30 mins for a glass of wine. After 90mins, we hadnt yet received our first course...2. Food was underwhelming: The chicories salad tasted like salt, the sliced hamachi was way too sour I couldnt taste anything else on the plate, the tuna and crispy rice was boring, the wagyu brisket tasted like the brisket from your local diner but priced at $72. The only highlight was the duck, which was cooked to perfection.3. Drinks - just meh, nothing special..In my 4 years living in Manhattan, Ive never left a restaurant this disappointed.

The service was really nice. I had two items (no alcohol) with mixed reviews:- chickpea crispy rice $10.. it was goood. unexpected. Reasonable. Surprisingly filling!- dark chocolate s’mores cake $10 if I could, I would just ask for the ice cream. The ice cream was so good! but I wish it was clear it was a lava cake in the description!! Ugh. However the potato gratin that comes along side the lamb, was lovely and a saving grace of the meal in my opinion.Overall fairly standard food that you could get anywhere for and incredibly inflated price. Cocktails are hitters and must have bar menu items are the Waygu on brioche toast topped with caviar and crispy tuna rice.

Came here for brunch with a friend and the food was absolutely amazing!!! Servers were so sweet and took the time to explain the food that came out and also helped us decide on what to order. Everything we ordered was delicious. The servers were super patient with us and wanted to make sure we got the best quality treatment. I can’t wait to visit again!!!

I had an early lunch with a companion and was dazzled by the astonishing food and sweet servers. The servers found an opportunity to make sense of the dishes and assisted them with picking what to arrange. Every one of the things they requested was flavorful and the servers showed restraint in furnishing them with quality assistance. The author is anticipating visiting the eatery once more.💝

We went 10pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant was 50% full. It was just me and my wife. The hostess sat us at a table of 2 in the main dinning area, after we took our jackets and started reading the menu, she came back and told us this table was unavailable and sat us next to the bathroom in a table of 6 (we where 2). The table of 2 never got used as the restaurant slowly went empty.Bad feeling, no explanation, 0 stars with service and experience. It’s a big No to move a customer to another table once it’s already seated and ordering. Terrible.

A flavor explosion. To-die-for fried chicken. The ribs, crispy kale and sweet potato were the best we’ve ever had. Plenty of delicious food for our vegan family members. The wait staff was so attentive and efficient. Very kind. This is our favorite restaurant in NYC. Don’t miss it.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is much nicer behind the bar than in the lounge but the major decrease in price makes the lounge worth it. we obviously ate off of the happy hour menu because we were in the lounge. we ordered the japanese sweet potato, krunchy kale and tuna crispy rice. all were very good and the kale warms up nicely the next day, doesn’t get too oily or soggy. the sweet potato was almost like dessert i just wasn’t a fan of the brûléed top because it had a gasoline taste from the torch. the lounge prices are much more reasonable and you can order off of the regular menu so i would definitely recommend a reservation at the lounge. we also ordered the milk bread for dessert which was just a loaf of bread so i would not recommend that but everything else was great!

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I have to say that everything I had heard about this place’s bad service turned out to be true. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who’s just looking for a normal dining experience. It seems like this place caters more to those who are wealthy and planning to order a ton of drinks. From the moment I sat down, I had a feeling things weren’t going well. The waitress was extremely rude and seemed to disappear for 20 minutes between each check-in. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I managed to place my food order. However, an hour passed, and I still hadn’t seen any sign of my meal. Then, the most bizarre thing happened. I spotted my waitress carrying a plate of food, but she offered it to the table next to me. When they told her they didn’t order it, I desperately tried to get her attention, but she got confused and took the food somewhere else entirely. To make matters worse, a different waitress, who had no idea I already had a regular waitress, kept checking on me. She seemed shocked that my food hadn’t arrived yet. Eventually, the manager came over and offered a free dessert as an apology, but then mysteriously disappeared. Later, the second waitress, who was nice and trying to make it up to us, reappeared and brought a candle in the tiniest dessert dish I’ve ever seen instead of the promised dessert. To cap it all off, my original waitress never returned to apologize, and the other waitress who took my payment seemed annoyed that I only left a 15% tip. While the food I eventually received was decent, the service at this place is an absolute nightmare. It felt like they had random people on the floor with no coordination or communication, and it completely ruined what should have been a celebratory birthday dinner. Throughout the meal, these people spoke to me as if I should be the one apologizing for ordering too much food and that I should be grateful for whatever food eventually made it to my table. It was a frustrating and anxiety-inducing experience.

A friend decided to introduce me to this place and I was absolutely blown away. First things first, get the Tuna Crispy Rice. Just do it - you will not be disappointed at all, and you will probably be craving for more afterwards. It is absolutely worth it.Secondly, the Short Ribs are to die for as well - it will leave you very satiated and the flavor is very strong, and the sauces are the perfect accompaniment to it. I also tried some of their seasonal drinks and I would recommend the Noho Cobbler. I also had the Duck Burnt Ends, and I would say that compared to the rest of the items I had, it did not stand out. Not to say it was bad, but it paled in comparison to the other plates. The ambiance is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. I would highly recommend a visit at least once, you will not be disappointed.

The food is *chef’s kiss* 💋We had fried gyoza (rating: 9/10)Pork bun (rating: 7.5/10– wish it was easier to eat and less messy)Ribs (rating: 20/10– literally the best ribs I ever had in my entire 25 years of living)Beef tenderloin (rating: 8.5/10)Although the ribs and beef tenderloin didn’t come with a side, it didn’t need it.The prices are kinda up there. But it’s worth it. For two people, you’ll probably spend $105-150. Definitely recommend.

Highly recommend making a reservation if you want to sit indoors. The happy hour menu is well priced. We enjoyed the pink puppy and winwood mule (cocktails) which complimented the food. We ordered the salmon crudo, baby back ribs and Japanese sweet potato. The waiter advised us the Japanese sweet potato is viral. It was ok. We did not think it is viral worthy. It is a big sweet potato baked to perfection and then slathered with miso butter Parmesan. We were not able to finish it. We took it home. The salmon crudo was also okay. A bit thickly cut for crudo. Go with the baby back ribs. Flavorful and saucy. The meat comes off the bone with little effort. It is a little bit too salty but still really good.

Great drinks, yummy food. We sat at bar, but had the oddest experience with bar tenderHe topped off my sake, WITHOUT me asking for another one. I thought it was a sweet gesture because he sensed i needed one. Which i most certainly did. Bill arrives and he charged me the full price for both drinks. Like damn, you cant offer something and then charge for it. Kinda put a damper on the otherwise nice experience. So NOTE- if you sit at bar, dont let them top you off

We were looking for a last minute place to eat close to a bar we were going to have drinks at later. Kyu has been on my want to go list.As soon as we walk in, you immediately see the beautiful bar to the right and it just smells like amazing food. We got seated at a good spot right in the middle of the restaurant. but at a booth which which was perfect. The space was designed efficiently and there were so many servers which made the service quick. It was not busy when we got there but quickly packed out by the time we were leaving. Our server was amazing and helpful, the drinks came out so quickly and the food was so good! We ordered the crispy kale, beef short ribs, korean fried chicken and broccoli.(See pictures in Photos section)

The restaurant itself is gorgeous; however, the acoustics make it difficult for groups to hold any conversation. The food was marginal at best and one-dimensional. Portions were small, especially for the price point and their focus on being a family-style experience. Servers were friendly; however, it seems additional training is needed as all of the guests in my party had one or multiple drinks delivered that wasn’t what was ordered.

Cocktails were perfect, staff very attentive and kept the food flowing! Looking forward to trying KYU Las Vegas soon! Thanks for a great night, still full the next morning writing this!
