Obic Mozzarella

The cafe is in a public indoor open space. Self-served. The servers are wonderful. Greeted customers with big smile. I’m having a simple breakfast. The croissant is fresh. The Americano is good. The space is peaceful and beautiful!The menu offers sufficient options for breakfast and lunch. I suspect this place will get busy later on, at lunch hours and onward. For now, I could enjoy a peaceful time with my coffee, reading my book with natural light, indoor greens, and EVEN listening to birds sing! Absolutely in love! 💖The open space is very well kept, clean and airy. It would be best if patrons keep their voices down. It does echo and amplify in this glass house. It is actually annoying to listening to people’s (phone) loud conversations than the birds’ songs!This is a secret gem in the midst of the hustling and bustling midtown! 😻

This piece of apricot pie was $7. I know NYC is expensive but that’s a rip off. Oddly there was no price for this pie but for all the others. Now I know why. And it wasn’t worth the price. The crust was dry and shy of being burnt. Coffee was good. I won’t be returning here again.

This place was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!! I went with a party of 4 to the cafe side. They did not have items that were initially ordered available in the hot case and declined to make any new or fresh despite doing so for individuals seated in the restaurant portion.A remaining sandwhich was ordered from the hot case which was dried out and inedible resulting in being thrown out. Also, despite the claim on the menu that a salad comes with the sandwich, one was not provided and we were told by the lady at the counter that we were incorrect in reading the menu.2 Caprese salads were ordered and were sent out with label still on the tomato (did the not wash their produce?) as well as the tomato used being off color and rotted (GROSS!!) which resulted in in being thrown our.The only edible thing to come out of this kitchen was a grilled chicken salad which was no better than any salad pulled out of a grocery store deli cold case.My friend ordered a coffee and cream was not offered nor available and when requested they gave her a jug of creamer from the fridge to pour herself--anyone who has worked in food service knows that this is a big no-no due to sanitary reasons.This place was a GIANT disappointment and a GIANT waste of money!!!Find somewhere better!!

I’ve been coming to this place 10+ years when visiting NYC. Food has always been great, but the overall quality of the restaurant has degraded over the years. The staff is rude and the service is slow. They previously used to do table service, but now they only have 2 staff doing everything at the bar which are not able to cover for all clients during peak hours. The food is always good but I was highly disappointed as I had to wait 27 minutes for them to bring a sandwich for which I already had queued 5 minutes to order.

Worst place in town. We were seated without menu for over 15 minutes, water was served warm, order took over 30 minutes for 2 salads and a sandwich. Do NOT go there. Soooooo slow!!! Also, the caprese came with the label still attached to the tomatoes!!! Did they even wash it? Disgusting. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN.

Good spot for a quick lunch. A bit noisy because it is in the atrium of an office bldg. service was good and the mozzarella bar experience was perfect for 2 ppl.

Staff were incredibly rude. I just attempted to double-check the price of a coffee and the service staff member yelled at us on top of her voice. Her voice was so loud and insulting that it made us feel like I was hard at hearing. As consumers, should I not have the right to verify the price? Furthermore, when I asked for napkins, the same service staff member was refused to give me any, and it took another staff member to hand it to me. As it turns out, it was a few minutes away from thier closing time, so perhaps that shows why the service staff showed such an atrocious attitude. Definitely do not recommend!

Glad to see this location has reopened! This review is simply for the coffee. I will have to return for the food. The line moved fairly efficiently. The flavour of the coffee was good and not bitter in taste.

I was charged $9 for a small coffee, in fact, a flat white. When I informed the barista he went to check and then informed me that he mistakenly charged me for a medium and that because it has two shots of coffee he charged me more. Never offered a partial refund or even apologized.

The lady with glasses is very rude to the customer. I tried to order some coffee, but I didnt know they were closing. Instead of just telling me were closed or something similar, she rudely said theres a sign that says closed!!. I dont believe this behavior is acceptable in customer service..

Nice, bright , comfortable! Had this pasta with eggplant and buratta. The eggplant puree went well with the cheese, a bit on the salty side, but flavorful. Service was average. Not an expert on cheese, the buratta tasted okay, not particularly impressive.

$5 for a chai teabag! So not worth it I’m really disappointed. Would even go to Starbucks over this place

I witnessed an employee, I believe her name was Tonya, have an altercation with the customer two ahead of us. She was extremely rude to us as well. We had an online reservation at 11 per the r website but they said they wouldn’t serve us yet when we arrived. The woman was extremely rude. Would not dine there ever.

Authenic Italian Sandwiches at 930am !!! Top quality ingredients...fresh mozzarella...

If you love mozzarella, you absolutely have to try Obica. Fantastic Italian fare thats not too heavy. Plenty of different types of mozzarella for you to pick.It occupies a corner of a glass atrium thats filled with light and well shielded from bad weather. There arent too many tables but you dont usually have to wait long for one. Prices are above average but for the quality of the food, and the comfort of the dining-in experience, its worth it.

Jeez I guess the cashier girl was having a bad day or something... She didnt even look me in the eye. Not a very smart thing to do in life in general.

My go to place every morning! Service is 1 of 1. Food is great, coffee is even better and always consistent! Highly recommend

This was a cute like brunch place, nice ambiance in the city. We stopped here because of the burrata. We love burrata, but it could of been dress up a bit more presentation wise. I thought my caprese sandwich was good and so was the microgreens salad. My drink was good and so was my husbands beer. I just wished there were more options as far as dressings and sandwich spreads.

The service was perfect! The food was fair but if youre looking for a fast in and out lunch it will do.

Appalling service. Ran out of milk and simply shrugged shoulders. No attempt to figure out the issue. There are stores selling milk within 1 min walk. Useless and no initiative.

I was recently there on a date with a girl and the Dreadlock italian waiter was flirting and flirting with the girl asking her out after work .....it was disgusting ...zero service and professionality

Not recomended!The food is very good, but the customer service is terrible.We were treated very badly from the moment we arrived. We had gift cards and we were not sure what was included and they made us fill unconfortable. Specifically, the girl was the one who attended us at all times and always with very bad manners. We did not feel comfortable at any time, we felt like we were bodering her.Then we had to wait half an hour for dessert, but that didnt bother us because the chef was very kind and nice.

I ordered a mozzarella, tomato and Pesto Ciabata that had no Pesto in. Mozzarella was tasteless so a tomato ciabatta is what came. I asked for a Americano and got a filter coffee. Service was terrible. If you don’t want to do the work at least don’t show your customers

I don’t normally give bad feedback but the service here is terrible. The cashier gave terrible attitude from the start. I tried to be nice and gave her a tip as an attempt to assume the best but she went out of her way to be rude

Amazing atmosphere, bright with lots of natural light coming in, plenty of seating in the center of an office complex. Very standard, quick service spot for a bite if anyone is in a rush especially in the bustling world where we got things to do. Ordered the caprese panini, as it was good, but couldve been hotter if the chef left it on the panini press a bit longer. Overall, great panini sandwich. Prices are very fair, especially for being in such a prime location and a stand inside a public atrium.

A GREAT place to sit & get lunch! The menu is not complicated, rather old school meets new. Highly recommend the toasted Club. The Mutz is fresh, light, and the meats are so delicious. They can run out of certain sandwiches later on as they make everything there from scratch. The Staff couldnt be nicer and I give them credit with opening in such uncertain times.

While the food and service are OK, it is unacceptable to have an invasion of fruit flies, which landed in our drinks four times. The place is not very clean, plates were smudged and the server holds the fork the wrong end when handing it to us, after we fished out the fruit flies from our drinks. After three flies, we asked for one of our drinks to be changed, which they did. However, the server engages in long conversations with some of the guests and ignoring others for long periods of time.It is very expensive and should be kept cleaner, so that the health department doesnt close them down.Thanks.

Ate twice at this restaurant. First time the lunch salad had sand in it. The second time ham, eggs, and cheese croissant, although toasted, was cold the cheese was not melted, had to throw away the croissant as the ham was not tasting fresh. Overpriced low quality food. Staff is very rushy even when there were no customers. Will not go again.

No wonder all your reviews mention your poor customer service. You couldnt even spare a SINGLE FORK after I had dropped mine right in front of you, you indecent, incompassionate, workers (including the manager). Take some tips from Chick-Fil-A, then maybe youll actually earn a tip.

Original Italian Resturant! We tryed the mozzarella selection, the sciallatielli and the lasagna. The tiramisù was superb! The best italian coffee in NYC! We are coming back again!

Obvious discrimination, the bread was burnt, and the chocolate was heavily thrown on the table and spattered without being dealt with. It is highly not recommended.

A kind of bistro with an Italian touch, even some of the employees are Italian, very nice and you can drink a decent Italian espresso. It is located inside the Trump tower and looks like a square complete with trees and birds but in fact everything is covered and heated

Too expensive for what it is.The products are not comparable to obica mozza from Rome. Disappointment then. Especially considering the prices...very expensive for what it is.

We tried an excellent mozzarella and a prosciutto, I didnt like the melanzane alla parmiggiana. The tiramisu is very good.
