Celebrated my daughters 15th birthday here along with family. This place is very hookah friendly with no designated smoke-free areas, which deeply bothered my 8 year old son. Thankfully, the hostess was able to accommodate us at a much larger table out of the smoke. Great hospitality!
Staff was lovely and respectful, drinks were good. I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you want good food- we ordered the pepper shrimp and shrimp and broccoli entrees. The quality and taste were mid, the food came out as soon as we ordered which concerns me about freshness and for the taste and portion, it is wildly overpriced. You’re essentially paying for the atmosphere, which is gorgeous but not worth 3x what you pay at your local Chinese restaurant. There are better spots in the city to drink and have your photo op that will also give you excellent quality food without making you question what you’re paying for
My experience at PANDA was a rollercoaster. The hostesses cold reception initially made me feel unwelcome. Thankfully, our waitress turned things around with her warmth and attentiveness. The drinks (9/10) were exceptional and served quickly. Would highly recommend the Lychee martini and the espresso martini. The food (8/10) was also impressive, particularly the rock shrimp tempura. Unfortunately, my umbrella was stolen and replaced with a broken one - not the restaurants fault, but concerning. That defiantly told me the caliber of character of the patrons. While PANDA offers great food and drinks, the mixed service and security concerns give me pause. The positives ultimately outweighed the negatives, but theres definitely room for improvement.
Panda Harlem is one of my favorite dinner spots but this time I went for brunch! I love how they have bottomless and an open bar option.I went with the frozen colada and the frosè. We also enjoyed the family style prefix menu, which is perfect if you go in a group because you can also stay after for drinks as they have two cool bars. Also I love the photo ops and cool Panda murals all through out the restaurant. Panda is definitely a must for Brunch!
So as soon as my husband and I walk in the waitress asked if we had reservation mind you the place is empty … we said no she said we can only sit at a table for an hour minimum ! Food was good drinks were good as well .. but they are very overpriced .. crab cakes and chicken satay were just ok .. but the bao buns were my favorite mind you these are appetizers not even dinner plates and our bill for two people was $215.00 ..music is too loud you can’t even have a conversation don’t waste your time to be honest . The waiter was really nice but the hostess who sat us at the table had an attitude .
I heard about Panda Harlem decided this would be the perfect location to celebrate one of my girlfriend’s birthdays. I visited the restaurant in August 2023. I made a reservation online, double check to ensure they accept walk ins. When we arrived there was a representative that greeted us at the door and showed us in. We then went to then confirmed our reservation and was seated. This place is beautiful with the art on the walls it’s the perfect photo op. There is an upstairs and downstairs levels and two bars Our server for the evening was very friendly and even provided recommendations for us. There is also a staff member who walks around taking pictures. You scan the QR code on the table for the menu. It didn’t take long to receive our drinks or our food. I had the Blue Hawaiian which I may say was very strong. For our meals we had the Shanghai Ribs with the shrimp fried rice and the chicken and broccoli with white rice. My girlfriend enjoyed every bite of her meal. I thought the chicken and broccoli was okay. For dessert we ordered the Tres Leche Cake in which the wrote Happy Birthday with a sparkler. The restaurant has an overall great vide and the music was really good. The only con I have is while we were eating and having a good time two different parties were seated near us and began doing hookah. I don’t care if people do hookah however, I don’t want to smell nor experience it while I’m eating. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all so they could have put them in a different section. I was completely upset with this and when we asked our waiter about it, he informed the other sections were closed. This made us want to hurry up and leave the restaurant. Although the restaurant accepts card there is an ATM located inside. Like most places if you pay with card there is a service fee. Gratuity was automatically added to the check. This restaurant is near the water so you can get some great pics as well. It’s also accessible via public transportation. I may give them another try not so sure yet.
The food was nasty, the drinks were ok and its loud.I had better food from the Chinese restaurant. First and definitely my last time.
Can someone tell me why vegetable fried rice from a restaurant has half a bag of frozen mixed vegetables in it!?? Is this from Trader Joes (which is great when I make it) or a quality restaurant?!? I was really disappointed in the taste and presentation I definitely expected better considering the price point.
From the delicious food, to the quick service and the vibe of the music, Everything was great! I loved the egg fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. I had a lot of fun smoking hookah and drinking their rum punch, it definitely punched lol. Such a great experience and the ambience was dope! This is a Great place to dress up for and enjoy a night out whether you’re with friends or on a date.
The decor was bomb, the pictures don’t do it any justice. So many photo shoots happening in the bathroom hallway. Food menu was pretty basic which I appreciated but some might not. It’s kinda loud but it’s suppose to be, they had hookah that I didn’t get . It was worth my 2 hr drive from Philly. Great birthday dinner s/o to the host for taking bomb pictures of me .
As I was looking forward to this experience, I hate to say that it was not the best one. Although my friends and I took very nice pictures, our dining experience was the absolute worse. I made reservations for 9:30 didnt get seated till about 10 minutes later. I got up from the table several times to ask if someone was going to be taking our order soon. Our waiter was clearly drinking from the smell of his breath, and what made me notice was his abrupt attitude when he asked my friend for her I.D because he thought she was younger than 21.We ordered Beijing Chicken and Beef Lo mein, the food was honestly good. However we only took a few bites and immediately my friend became nauseous and threw up (she even missed her flight because she was ill), in the middle of the night I randomly also threw up. The food might of made us sick, I didnt even get to enjoy my food. They brought out cheesecake after I complained about the service but I would of much preferred money off instead for this horrible experience. I wish this was a better experience.
Cool spot! The food was good. The crispy wontons kept you wanting more. The music definitely had us moving! It was cool way to end the week!
The service was alright, the hostess seemed to have an attitude problem. They claimed they were fully booked and that was not the case. Over priced Chinesse food in a place with a decent decor. They charged 19.00 for 3 lobster spring rolls; 24.00 for lobster fried rice that they claim served two people and there wasn’t enough rice for one person! First and only time going here. If you like over priced food and drinks go to this place; but if you want to enjoy your time don’t pick this place. You can have a better experience somewhere else.
I love the vibe and the service was excellent. I gave it 4 stars because the fried rice didnt seem to be fresh. The flavor was good, but the texture of the rice was like leftovers from the day before and the cook just reheated it in a frying pan.
This was my first time at Panda Harlem and I was impressed. Our server Ralph was amazing, he and the bus boy made our experience delightful. The food was so delicious and yummy. It was my daughters birthday and she had a blast. The DJ had us dancing in our seats and planning for our next visit ASAP.
Previously a a lounge in Harlem, Harlem Panda has turned this industrial space into a new modern Chinese restaurant. It is easily accessed with the 1 train line nearby and a few buses near by.It was only their third day opened when we visited so it was easy to make a reservation online and be seated quickly. I thought the service hear was pretty stellar, the server checked in on us regularly, the manager came by to ask us how everything was going and the food and drinks were pretty tasty. My favorite drink of the night was the Dragonfruit Mojito, it was fruity and STRONG, can’t go wrong with that. The Passion Fruit martini was also a hit.For dinner we ordered a few dishes that are served family styles. We had chicken dumpling, and chicken duck boa buns as an appetizer and let me tell you, the dumplings were filled to the brim, I loved it. The boa buns were so fluffy. Def two great starters to get the meal going. We also ordered chicken & broccoli, Beijing chicken, beef friend rice and vegetable lo mein. All very delicious but my favorite part of the meal was the vegetable lo mein, I could’ve ordered another serving because the sauce was so flavorful.Stop by and show this new business some love. They have great decor and graffiti for those Instagram photo ops or tiktok videos.
What a great time. First of all, might be one of the best decorated restaurants Ive ever seen. RIP Solomon & Kuff, we had a great times together, but Panda Harlem is here!About time Harlem had a spot like this. The city has Jue Lan, two locations of Brooklyn Chop House and Philippe but nowwwww our upscale Asian fusion restaurant is here!My girlfriend and I enjoyed everything. The decor, the music, the drinks, our waitress who helped ease our decisiveness with her suggestions, the FLAVORFUL and just darn good food. I will say, certain menu items says it serves two guests and while that COULD be true, if youre the type of person who enjoys leftovers then its one a one stop meal baby. Perfect amount for eating there and eating later. Now it is pricey! You are paying high amounts for things that you can get at your local Chinese spot for much cheaper (sans the lobster cuz what spot in the hood has that) BUT this is the type of spot where youre paying for the full vibe and experience and that Im here for.Theyll definitely be seeing me again, youve made a fan out of me!
Celebrating in private.A friend of mine got the private room here for her birthday and it was a great time. It was 18 of us and the room held us all comfortably. The room included its own private bathroom, tv and bluetooth so we could play our own tunes. We paid $200 per person for unlimited drinks and a prefixed menu. We got appetizers, main course and desert. (We also got hookah but thats not included in the price) Only thing i wish we could’ve changed was the 2 hour limit on the room. Other than that I highly recommend.
I really like this place especially for the ambiance! I love the dim lighting, they have some of the best music in any restaurant, it’s a mix of 90’s & 00’s R&B and rap. If you’re a millennial you’ll be dancing during your meal, haha. They have a spacious bar, club and private spaces. The food is good. It is like if Tao, P.F. Chang’s & Sei Less had a baby. Same price range as well but slightly cheaper on a lot of items. The highlights were the Beef Lo Mein, Sweet & Sour Chicken and definitely the Chicken Lettuce Wraps! It’s a good spot for a date night, girls night or a night out!
Attended during restaurant week and asked about the supplemental fee for the prawns. The waiter wasn’t sure why there was an upcharge. None of the meals come with sides (noodles or rice) so you have to order those separately (this is true for all entrees restaurant week or not). Entrees are between $32 - $40. Sides and apps are all at least $14. The salmon had a good glaze but was overcooked. The filet mignon was flavorful and tender but served in slices similar to ribeye. The music was LOUD. If you want to just talk during dinner choose somewhere else. Overall I don’t think the price, atmosphere, location are worth the prices.
Absolutely love the vibes here — the menu to the music — it’s a fun spot for a date or a birthday group dinner. It’s also home to maybe the best appetizer in nyc — the Shrimp (and chicken) SATAY! It’s cooked perfectly and the sauce is not quite a traditional satay but so much better. A must try dish along with that lobster lo mein.
My best friend had her birthday dinner here and i hope she enjoyed it more than I did. It was extremely underwhelming. We were sat at this cute table right by the entrance to the right and it was off balanced. Every time we touched the table it moved so we asked 3 times if they could fix it. They said there was nothing they could do. Finally, they moved us to a new table which should have happened from the very beginning. They sat us at another table in the area near the DJ and the music was extremely loud but it was a vibe. DJ was on point. It took our waiter 25 minutes to come to our table. I advised that when he does come, put our entire order in because there is no telling when he will come back.Drinks, decent.Food…. Absolutely not.I am a foodie and a MAJOR fan of asian cuisine. The food was not it. The portion sizes were very small for them to charge what they charge. It lacked flavor and presentation.$50 for a hookah? Seriously? But the best part for me was water (im hoping it was water) leaked from the ceiling falling on my face and clothes. I didn’t realize how much water fell on me until i touched my bun and it was damp. One drop fell in my eye and splatted all over my glasses. It’s unacceptable.Parking sucks.Pros: the art work was dope.I will not be returning. I could have gotten the same meal for less than $25 in the hood with more flavor and bigger size portions.
My first time coming to panda and i wasn’t even able to get inside with reservations. I just came from a sweat suit cook out event. My sweat suit was more upscale than the casual old navy or gap outfit. My significant other had on a sweat suit as well which was more upscale. It was huge Guard at the door. He said “come one guys i can’t let you in like that.” I expressed i just came from an event and didn’t want to miss my Reservation. So he stood there for a minute or two and said OK let me go inside and have a conversation with my manager. maybe one minute later, he said “nope it’s a no go guys. My manager won’t let you in and if I allow you to come in, they’re going to look at me as if I should know better.” Now before he went into the establishment to speak to the so-called manager he looked at us as if we should slide him a couple of dollars to just allow us to go into the establishment. And I only say this because not even five minutes after we left my brother spoke to the manager, and he stated that he would’ve let us in with no problem. Doing further investigation I actually had family inside celebrating I loved one’s birthday. My understanding per our conversation yesterday there was a few people in there with sweatsuits on that wasn’t up to par. She also had one a hoodie and sweats and she came five minutes after I left. I’m not sure if you’re establishment or you’re so-called security picks and choose the individuals that he would allow to come and sit in your establishment but my advice, it would be smarter to have a manager at the door with the security so that individuals don’t feel as though that they are being judged or that they have to slide a couple of dollars under the table (extortion) to be able to enter a restaurant in a city i was born and raised in just up the block. I was going to come back the next day and celebrate a friends of mine birthday who was promoting on Sunday .( I was actually personally invited). , but I had to reevaluate the situation. It made me feel uncomfortable because of my Saturday experience, but looking at the pictures, you had multiple young ladies in their sweatsuits. Security stated to me on the weekend it is a different demeanor of dress code. So is it a dress code or he profiles and extort who he wants to get in?I’m stick to Jue lan and seiless. Where i feelWelcomed. Sad i cant even support a restaurant that moved into my birth place and get treated like an outsider.
The food was delicious, however the service was a little lacking. Servers reached over peoples heads when handling plates and left my leftovers on the floor next to my friend. This left me feeling slightly uncomfortable.
Had to wait for a table even after I reserved it, they give you a 45 minute Time frame to eat at table then if you want to stay you can sit at bar. The hookah are ridiculously over priced and taste like nothing. The food was ok, services was ok . Order took Almost an hour. didn’t like the fact someone goes around takes your picture then forced you to buy it. Regular photo wanted to charge 25 like come on. It was a one time experience won’t go back. Only positive I thing I can say was music was nice played mix of old and new hip hop
Initially we were heading to a spot across the street, however, we ended up here. The person I was with wanted to walk in with a drink we purchased across the street, lol. Of course the guy that worked there said we had to finish them outside, lol. I knew better!!!! Anyhow, Panda Harlem was a nice vibe. The food was great, the music was good. I dont really care for hookah and would have preferred to sit in a booth away from smoking. We didnt get a booth which I would have preferred. Nonetheless, we didnt have a reservation so we had to take what we could get. Although the place wasnt that occupied, so I assumed those booths were for reserved guests. The drink I had was STRONG, and thats not a complaint. Lets just say it got me just right for the rest of the evening, lol. Id say if you are in Harlem and feel for some tasty Asian American cuisine give it try.
Stumbled on this place late Sunday night when other spots closed early by10pm.I was surprised and impressed.Beautiful decor, good food and great music. Its a must see for anyone who hasnt been here and I recommend it to all.I will be back.
Food is outstanding!!! Quality Chinese cuisine in a really fun trending spot. Be sure to dress up and get ready for an amazing experience! Enjoy ❤️🙏
The food was delicious but it was only 3 of us and our bill came out to over $300 which I feel was a little excessive. I’d probably still go again tho because the food and vibe is good.
Had a reservation for dinner at Panda to celebrate an anniversary. I chose to come here over another spot because i know they have hookah and a good vibe. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Food was delicious. We had just ordered hookah and not even 5 min went by before a man named DRE walked over to our table and told us we needed to give the table up to seat others. He then walked away. I was pretty shocked and a bit disappointed because I’ve came here before and didn’t have this experience. He never asked us how our meal was and/ or if there was anything we needed. Didn’t introduce his self just told us he needs the table. Now at this point I’m distracted because we were having a good time and wanted to order more. We never asked for the check. I’m familiar with 90 min brunches etc of that nature where you are well aware of timing/seating. The waitress apologized because she initially said she could move us to the bar but the bar had been packed all night so of course she couldn’t guarantee that we would have a spot. The night was cut short because and i don’t see myself returning.
We came for Sunday brunch and it was a real treat! The decor is so cute with so many photo ops. The family style brunch special is perfect - $65 for large portions that included 4 apps, 3 entrees & 2 sides. My favorite was the filet mignon with broccoli - the sauce was delicious. For $25 we added bottomless drinks that included mimosas, sangria & frosé. The frosé was our favorite. We ended with a few desserts. The cream on the red velvet cake was so tasty! We were stuffed but packed every last bit to take home it was that good. If you’re looking for a great brunch spot with music, vibes & delish food + drink then try out Panda!
The ambiance was great and the serving staff wonderful! The food was okay, I feel I did better at China buffet and definitely PF Changs...And then you can use some more options and better pricing ...Missing >definitely General Tso chicken!! Like seriously...why dont yall have that??? Fortune cookies may be a good option and Soup! Not a fan of lychee martini...but thats just me🤷🏾♀️ Dont experiment as I got instant 🤢
Such a trendy spot with flavorful food and a really good atmosphere. Definitely a great spot for celebrations with tons of photo opps and good music!
A TIME WAS HADDDDD. the food? 10. the ambience? 10. the VIBES?? 1000000/10. most definitely will be coming back!
This food was so good. The ambiance presents a feel good vibe and the dj is banging. The place was spotless, clean. Im definitely returning.
Cute/artsy place. Love that they also serve hookah. You can either have a date night or a fun night out with your boys/girls.
I went to harlem panda for my birthday with my son it was very nice drinks good, food good, music was on point, service was good, atmosphere 👍 👌 Only thing is parking is hard to find on 12th ave. Catch Uber or I think they have vip parking or something for 40.00 call and inquire. I will be back.
Whatever you eat, you still have to pay extra cost. You have no option to decide how much tip you give. 20% tip seems fair for them even if you receive a terrible waiter or experience
Visited Panda Harlem for the first time for lunch with friends. I liked it but did not love it! The place was empty at the time we went and I thought the service was not as attentive as it could have been and it was very expensive for lunch. I did not leave dreaming about returning. We were not asked if we wanted bottled or tap water, we were not asked if we wanted dessert, nor were we asked if we enjoyed our meal. I felt they really did not care.We ordered 2 alcoholic drinks and 1 seltzer with lime at the bar while we waited for our table and a 20% tip was included in our bar bill. We were a party of 4 and a 20% tip was included in our bill, in addition to a $3.99% charge for using a credit card. We paid 1/2 cash and we were still charged the full $3.99%When I spoke to the manager I was told that is the charge. I had a fun time with friends but we all agreed this is not a place we are anxious to visit again.
Horrible food quality the drinks taste like water and the service was atrocious!!! Tip should not be included when service is this bad. Don’t waste your time food is horrible and drinks literally taste like there is water in them. Even a staff member agreed with me when I said it was horrible in all aspects.
Super cute atmosphere with great music. Great spot for party vibes with friends. The food was just okay, I’ve had better Chinese food at lots of other places. The employees were nice but the place was very unorganized. To start, the host brought our party to the wrong table, we had to wait 15 minutes plus be moved to another table. Then they brought my friend’s birthday cake to the wrong table, luckily we happened to be right next to that party and said something immediately. Over all It’s a bit over priced but you can have a fun time.
My sisters took me to Panda Harlem for my birthday dinner. I throughly enjoyed it. The music, the waiter, the hookah, the drinks (Lychee Martini, amazing), EVERYTHING. Will definitely be going back.
Ambiance and venue are absolutely incredible - food is solid! Thank you George K for the lovely hospitality and having us for the soft opening of the space - the experience was absolutely fantastic
Panda Harlem is a VIBE. I visited for a private dinner celebration and the entire experience was top notch. The private room comfortably fit our group of almost 20 people. It had a tv inside the room which was calm for the guys who wanted to multitask and watch the game. You get a private staff and they were all real cool and helpful. I wasn’t expecting so much food but they brought in a lot of different menu options served family style which is good for groups with different dietary restrictions. The food tasted good too. I can definitely recommend their private dining experience
Went there for a birthday celebration and ultimately was blown away & win over. At first, I was thrown off by the $22 Frozen Margarita served in a Ricks glass, but then I got it. Because of the quality of the drink, food & I see the value in their $22 offering, still steep but worth it.Hannah is amazing with vibrant, fun energy. The DJ was beyond & my server was great! Will definitely be back!
Celebrated my birthday here. Food was okay, drinks were strong. $50 for hookah wasn’t bad for a table. Just wish they would have asked to bring the cake or not. The waiter just brought out the cake, no warning and not singing “HBD”. It was like *here’s your cake, time to go*. Overall experience was okay. Had fun
Hot spot with good music ( live dj ) and great service. A mixed Hip crowd a fun night out.
This is definitely a good place for a restaurant/lounge vibe. The DJ was really good, they offer hookah, and no harsh lighting. So if you hate loud music and would like to hear the person you are with (without raising your voice) this is not the best atmosphere. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive. We had to wait and look around several times to spot her. Nice place to take pictures. The chicken wontons and Beijing chicken were delicious. The Shanghai salmon was good but slightly under cooked.
My server jennybel was AMAZING all night. She ensured we were happy with service. The best server to celebrate our girls night out. A true GEM is what we describe her. Thank you for an amazing experience. We will definitely be back soon. RAISE HER PAY !
Panda Harlem, this spot is on point! Everything from the food, to the drinks, to the service and music all on point! The ambiance has a sexy, classy, and hiphop vibe. Perfect for any night out or dinner parties. There were a couple of parties going on in their private dinning rooms. For the food their Chicken Satays, Shrimp Dumplings and Beijing Chicken are a must! The Passion Fruit margarita was one of the best margaritas I have had in a while! The whole place is a vibe, highly recommended!
I celebrated my birthday yesterday there and made reservations for 9:00pm which I had to wait 30 minutes to be seated because the party before me was still sitting at the table. We asked for hookah 3 times and never received the hookah, the waiter only came to check us once and never asked if we wanted another round of drinks, I was also not offered a desert for my birthday. We also wanted to take the left over food to go but the waiter took it without asking if we wanted a to go box. I think they need more staffs on the weekends.
This was my first time here and probably/maybe not my last lol.My cousins and I came for brunch and the place is a vibe. It is Chinese cuisine and delicious. I dont how how the regular menu is but for brunch Thales serve everything family style. The apps came out first with our drinks and then the main and sides after like 10-15 after the appetizers. Our waiter was Thomas and he was great and informative. I had the Rum & Sugars Punch that just hit the spot and quenched the thirst. I originally thought you pick what you wanted to eat off the menu but everything is in the brunch price. Our drinks were separate because we didnt do the bottomless. The only thing I didnt like was all the additional fees. They have 5% admin fee (never heard of) and a customer disc fee (also never heard of). There was a $40 difference between paying cash and card but other then this I can see myself coming back, dont know how soon but I see myself back here.We were so busy interacting with each other I forgot to take pictures lol (next time)
Good decor, music and food
This place is for a hood people with a little bit of money that never been to an actual nice restaurant. The food is just revamped corner store Chinese food that’s mad expensive I went here for my birthday we had reservations for like a group of 10 they sat us basically in the middle of the place. There’s no private room or separate section for big parties. The food was mediocre at best. The drinks were watered down that came with the reservation . And the bill was like $2500 I could’ve went to an actually fancy restaurant like Maestro ,Zuma or Wolfgang’s and got better food for like 1500-1800 with drinks. And that graffiti wall is in one small section of the place all in all I wouldn’t come back. Trust me if you go to actual nice restaurants, you are not gonna like this place.
Thoroughly enjoyed myself, from the food to the ambiance and the service, impeccable. Would definitely recommend.
The staff is very polite and very welcoming . The food is delicious and well prepared also flavorful. The rice portion was pretty small for 15 dollars. The spring rolls are amazing. My waitress Tiffany gave good suggestions off the menu and she was very attentive.
Yesterday, I made reservations for a party of 8. Panda had us do the pre fix family menu. But the serving sizes was not family size portions. There were even some items missing because they no longer had it. My family was severed 4 pieces of salmon for 8 people to share. I had to complain to get more to feed 8 people.I was also overcharged for the food. I was originally told it would be 1,200 and couldn’t be changed for more or less. Even after paying the initial $500 deposit upon signing the waiver. My remaining balance should have been 800 something. I ended up paying 1,100. $400 of the bill was for a tip, taxes and for using a credit card. Service was horrible and wasn’t even worth the amount we had to leave.
Came here to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend The food was great the vibe was on point and it was beautiful and romantic
The service was great and fast. The food i’d say is very much over priced because there was nothing special about BUT it was delicious. Those fried chicken bao Buns soooooo freaking good. I do wish there was a separate section for the hookah smokers because honestly no one wants smoke flowing into their face while they’re eating. Aside from that great place to check out.
The DJ was lit his mix tape fiyah. The food was mediocre. But we sang drank and danced the night away. Great place for photo opp. Theres hookah but we dont smoke so I think they should have separate area for hookah smokers. The smoke was invading our lungs. Which we hated especially after last weeks air quality issue. Ill give is 3.9 out of 5. I would recommend the atmosphere is live and cantina is right across the street for the after hour vibe and they lit lit.
The food was OK 3 out of 10 , please make the ambiance more about the customer service cause that’s what this place lacks, not welcoming at all. Soon as we sat down the hookah guy approached us before our waiter,… The entrees and sides are supposed to be shareable and it’s NOT the rice is not enough for 1 person 2 if you’re lucky . Dish only came with about 5 prawns . Food is pricey but not acceptable when it comes to the quantity and quality how do you expect someone to pay $30+ for an entree advertising as shareable and it’s barely enough to go around the whole table . Rice was tasteless like it had been reheated. Hookah is expensive for no reason and I get the vibe of the restaurant but the quality just doesn’t add up to the prices I personally felt robbed when the bill came out due to the taxes which doesn’t make anyyyy sense, shady business 🤔I’ve been to multiple upscale restaurants and this bill made no sense never seen those charges before
Amazing place. The food was very good. I was surprised considering so much was put into the ambiance, but its great to see the place is more than just a pretty setting. Appreciated the classic hip hop playing too. A little too loud but not enough to hurt the experience.
I ordered the chicken and broccoli and it was awful the food was stale and even the side of rice was stale you can tell that it was made days ago. When I informed the manager she had a don’t care attitude. That was my first time and it will be my last. The only thing good was the music.
I was sitting at the bar for happy house with my grilfriends. We had to change out two. Hair because they wobbld so much, we thought they were going to break under us. The Mexican mule was good. Chicken Satay was drenched in a terrible sauce. Rock shrimp and chicken bao buns were good. The food and drinks came to $230, (there was e of us), they added a 20% tip after taxes and all types of ransom fees for cash vs card and other charges. The final bill was a hundred dollars more! We ordered 3 appetizers. I wont be back. Traffic and parking are terrible down there, even during happy hour. The bartender was nice and made good drinks.
Great service, quick food & great music. But SUPER OVER PRICED CHINESE FOOD. Drinks were not good and space was too tight for customers that dont smoke hookah.
This establishment has a reputation, locally, for having great food/drinks & POOR service. The attitude of the hostess was unprofessional. The manager unfortunately was also arrogant & rude. Table turnaround is priority, Not customer experience. Kudos to the chef & waiters, but lots of places have great food/drinks. Customer service/ experience is what sets a business apart from its competitors. Harlem Panda should invest in providing a good experience.. earn a customer for life not for the moment!
Went here for my friends 24th birthday.Tgr DJ they had that night was soo good. Was a little expensive the party menu but I think outside of it way less expensive. Food was really good just wish the portions were bigger. We will be coming back around March to do a 4 biirthday celebration.
Atmosphere was nice and the music was great! The parking situation was not cool there were so many cones on the street for no parking. We circled around for 20 minutes until a guy came out of this car and said he is valet and to park in front is $40. Inside, the space was tight in the dining area. You might as well eat with the table 2 inches away from you. They should also have another entrance/ exit on the other end of the main dining stage, looks like a fire hazard disaster waiting to happen. The drinks were really good no skimp on alcohol. The food wasn’t that great, just ok.
Let me start by saying I wanted to like this place even though it not Black Owned. I went in with high hopes, I knew what I wanted and was eager to take it home to try. Greeted by Hannah she was the responsible I’m assuming for take out orders, my expedite was her went well she greeted me was smiling it felt authentic. I noticed when I walked in there were a bunch of servers I’m assuming again just standing by the bar all Male and when I originally asked where do I place my order they all scattered and no one answer! That’s fine because that was my strike (1) Hannah told me my order would be about 15 min, acceptable I thought. So I waited patiently food came out and went to another girl who was now at the counter, Hannah is standing on the side but within eyesight and this girl asks me “did you pay for this order” attitude very standoff never even acknowledge me as if I was bothering her, I told her yes and here’s my receipt I kept my receipt in hand just in case, I guess she felt the need to double check as she yells over behind her where Hannah is and states” did she pay for this order” Chile I had such a calm and zen day so I did something better I kindly told Hannah I no longer want this food please refund my $54 for sweet and sour chicken and rice, pretty steep I know but again I had high hopes. I walked away knowing that those two gentleman that ordered after me she didn’t need to confirm if they paid and maybe it was because we obviously didn’t resemble! I say all of this to say I see so many African American ppl enter this establishment and I can’t see why we continue to go into these settings pay our money and be treated as such! I would not give you a penny of my hard earned money as this place was not and is not for me! The manager BTW was standing right there and said nothing to me. I would give you a Zero but it’s not possible…
Great serviceGreat atmosphereDJ 🔥🔥Had a nice time here, food is also good, tasted fresh. Nice drink menu as well.
It’s an amazing place to enjoy Chinese food, everything is delicious the drinks the food and the service is really good
The Appetizers wasn’t the best in my opinion . I got beef with broccoli and lo mein and it was amazing . My sister got the beef and broccoli with chicken rice rice which was also very good . When we got the bill I couldn’t believe for two people it was almost $400 wow. We order off the brunch menu which was 65 a person unlimited mimosa is extra 25 per person . Over all I did enjoy this place I would go back
Seems to me that they just hire just anyone staff extremely rude. Specifically front door security and talks to women however he wants when we asked to speak to someone he states I am head of security there’s no one else to talk to. Severe lack in social skills. Valet over priced $40 and expecting a tip for street parking is a little extreme. All they care about is money and not the customer satisfaction! Wouldn’t recommend! We Didn’t even stay we felt way too uncomfortable I did not enjoy my birthday there though we did go over to Cantina across the street and it was amazing! They saved the night!
Excellent music and strong drinks. Everything is a bit overpriced, but the atmosphere is fun. They do have some vegetarian options. The DJ was amazing and played music that made my group move. The DJ was the best part of the experience. It gets very busy here so I would recommend a reservation. I was disappointed they ran out of red velvet when I came here, but the tiramisu was delicious.
Great place for pictures, music and drinks. The staff is amazing! The chef 🙄 not so much. Sent back the Black pepper beef stir fry thing back because it was rubber the peppers were raw, all soaked in a terrible hoisin sauce , the rice was hard. The ribs were questionably drenched in that ultra neon red bbq sauce with a ton of sugar but The Bao buns were delicious and the spring rolls were aight . There were 6 of us. Good for Tik tok pics .Better food at your local Chinese restaurant . PERIODT.
If I could give 0 stars I would!! My daughter and her friend both 16 had their heart set on goi g here bc they have seen it on TikTok and of course they loved the ambiance for pics and stuff so I made a reservation for them. Like I said they’re only 16 so I made the first reservation they had available 5 pm when they open… as soon as we walk up the guy at the door was completely rude to us asking us how can he help us and do we have a reservation…. I said yes and then asked if it was under my name again I answered yes… then he asked us for ID…. This isn’t a club this isn’t a lounge it’s a restaurant so confused about the question I ask if this was a 21+ crowd only… he said no and said well as long as they’re with me they can come in and they cannot drink…. This was extremely disrespectful to me!!! How dare he assume as a mother I would let my underage child consume alcohol… the guy was completely rude and had a really bad attitude and definitely should not be the first person to greet anyone at any establishment!!!…. We get walked in and the hostess and another gentleman are standing there and the front door guy again says I’m the mom and they’re underage and they cannot drink… I’m not sure why he would have to tell them that… once we’re seated the waiter should check ID if that’s the case bc technically the hostess will not be the one taking our orders… the place is completely EMPTY and I have to stress this bc they seat us alllllll the way in the back of the restaurant literally by the door of the kitchen! Why?!? This place is known for the atmosphere and being shown on social media and they sit us in a booth by the kitchen secluded from all the nice decor. My daughter and her friend felt extremely uncomfortable and asked to leave bc they themselves did not like the service. We left and went to catch! Never again!
First and foremost I believe you need a reservation.. just to sit at the bar the bouncers wouldn’t let me and my friend come in unless I paid $100 each to get inside .. after we get in it’s so packed at the bar had to wait for a seat. The food wasn’t good to my liking I rather Juelan or even Phillipes .. I love lychee martinis but NOT from here ..it’s not the typical recipe they add coconut cream to it . The Dumplings were bland! I felt like I was at a club or lounge not a restaurant.
The chicken satay was horrible the chicken taste like rubber. The need and broccoli was meh. Way too sweet. The wonton soup was super salty! The fire cracker shrimp were flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken was good. Drinks were meh. Over priced !!!!
Waited over 30 mins for a table I reserved over a week prior. Long wait for drinks, staff was inattentive and unfriendly. My party was seated at the very front of restaurant and it was a tight squeeze. The food was over cooked and lukewarm. Highly disappointed in celebrating my birthday here. Was not worth the bill.
Great vibe. Make your reservations early.Food was way too sweet across multiple items. Chicken satay had no peanut almost a butter cheese sauce. Chicken wraps were coated in a super sweet sauce as well. Ask for Saracha to cut the sweetness.Overall a 4 for the vibe and service.
Very cool place with a good DJ, great service and yummy food, but jeez is it expensive! Had scallion pancakes, shrimp dumplings, and two cocktails - the lychee martini is great - and spent about $100 with tip.
We were impressed with the cool & unique decor of Panda Harlem. The vibe is cozy, intimate and perfect for a date night. The options on the menu weren’t various but decent enough for special occasions. We got Chicken satay and Rock shrimp tempura as appetizers with 2 cocktails: Lychee Martini & Passion fruit Martini. For entrees, we had Black Pepper Beef, Beijing Chicken and Lobster Fried Rice to share with a group of two. The portion was great and we even need to pack leftover to-go.The food was overall decent, especially the satay which the sauce was appetizing and satisfying & the flavorful Beijing chicken. The shrimp was also good, juicy and tender.
This is a cute restaurant for date night. The customer service was on point. The food came out quick. If you are starving I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The portions are small in my opinion and the protein do not come with sides so you would have to order that separate either fried rice or noodles. My fiancé and I got shrimp lo mein ($21) “for two”the portion was small. My protein was beijing chicken ($27)it was good they added walnuts as well, my fiancé got shrimp and broccoli ($32) he said it was regular nothing special. The drinks were good $17 each. They had hookah as well $50 $30 for refill. They played really good musics!, hip-hop and reggae. The place is a vibe I had a good time! Just make sure you bring your pockets!
Great vibes, energy, music, and food!!
Ralph the waiter was AMAZING he was very atentative. The food, music was good. The atmosphere was great. Good time.
Came for a late lunch with my gf. Great waiter named Tony. He made sure everything was taken care of. He checked on us just enough.Music is a bit loud. They put everyone who came in early in the back, which is mostly undecorated. The vibe of the place is really only taken in by the front.Lychee martini was good. Nice and sweet. Uses canned lychees.Passion fruit martini was a bit tart, but okay.Chicken satay was good. Nice and creamy honey mustard cheese sauce brought all the flavor to the meat. The breading isnt seasoned though.Chicken bao buns were basically chicken tenders with a black tortilla, sesame dressing, match stick cut green apples on rice bao buns. Tastes good.Kumquat shanghai glazed ribs were okay. Meat is cooked well but the sauce doesnt have much flavor. A bit underwhelming for being the star of their menu.Beijing chicken is basically sesame chicken with walnuts. Pretty good.Vegetable fried rice is a hard pass. Has an odd flavor that made it unpalatable. Even with the sauce from the ribs or with the beijing chicken it still tastes odd.Sapporo is sapporo.
They tried to rob us of a $100 on the bill!!! Thieves!!!! Savages! They knew what they were doing & luckily one of the guest caught on that they charged us extra AFTER we paid!!!!!!!! Highly not recommended, there’s plenty places with better food, customer service & atmosphere
Food and service was nice . I would go back again whenever Im in New York .
Went to visit all the way from Virginia. If you are looking for a upscale Chinese this is the place. Food was hot and tasty. Decorations are nice and the vibe was there. There is a live dj and the music was my type of music. I will say be prepared because this is not you corner Chinese restaurant prices.
Overrated Chinese food. The portions are not shareable, esp for large groups. Surprise hidden fees when the bill comes. Cover charge for late addition to our party added to bill unknowingly. Is this a restaurant or club? Valet is waste of time and money, can park your car yourself and go about your business. Only thing good is the drinks and ambience. Overall place seems like a scam to me.
Everyone like what they like regardless, but this place is in a rat in a hole beneath my taste, don’t let the art work fool you. I purchased tickets $109 for my daughter and I for the Afro Carib New Years Eve Gala 2023 in which I took it as a lost (left after 10 min to checking in our coats). The party promoter advertised as upscale and early tickets included 2hr open bar. She’s a fraud because I know what my ticket included and it said 2 hr open. When I questioned her, she says no it was the $86 tickets, I said that’s not what it said, it said early bird and that’s what I paid for and we kept going back and forth, she says if you give me $40 you and your daughter can do the open bar, I said young lady I’m old enough to be your mother and you can’t run game on a old head even though I look good for 52 and can party with the 20/30 year olds and my daughter is 30. She wasn’t thrilled that I checked her. However the main thing that threw me off was on the advertising of this fake promoter event it said no jeans sneakers or athletic wear. Get to the line you see so many young folks wearing jeans sneakers athletic wear timberlands and females looking like they just came off the street. You could count the few my age mixed with the 20/30 year olds who were dressed including my daughter and I. After waiting online in the rain then to get in it was already packed no room to dance. Ratchet females by the bar not buying drinks while people were trying to get to the bar to buy drinks. The entire event was bogus because Panda regular customers were also mixed in the event which seem confusing because it said upscale. To my understanding many of us thought this day was the entire event but it was the promoter event one of the Panda employee told me. I guess the promoter need money for her rent because she dam sure took ours and she wasn’t dressed. She had on Gucci sneakers and jeans not even looking depar for the event she promoting. Well I can definitely say this Panda Harlem does not represent my Harlem Black Peoples. They open this dump just to get our money because it’s not blacked owned that’s why it’s under that bridge in which you won’t recognize because they have no yawning with the business name, just a dam panda bear pained on a cracked wall. I guarantee this business won’t make 5yrs in my Harlem, take this dump to China town. Safe travels to those that think highly of this place , I’ve gone to better, this ain’t it!
Firstly, Panda Harlem changes $40 for parking your car in the streets, thats highway robbery.Secondly, although Panda has a great atmosphere, lively music and a hip croud, the food was average at best. Our party of four started with some dumplings and dim sum, that was ok, the main courses were lousy, my lo mein was undercooked and chewy. Stay away from the Kung Pao chicken.I would not recommend Panda Harlem for a seasoned foodie, but if you want to have some fun with a hip, young croud, please do.
Thank God I didn’t listen to people in the reviews on yelp! I’m still thinking about the food and it’s been almost a month since I had it 😋The food was absolutely AMAZING, Omg my mouth is watering by typing this, okay bye gotta go make another reservation lol! And don’t forget to take your photos by the beautiful area by the stairs with the art graffiti! We got some beautiful photos in that area. The environment was also a vibe! It’s a vibe anywhere you have hookah at the dinner table with some good music 😂 ENJOY! My group sure did!!! And the Birthday girl, well she was in tears (Her dinner was a surprise) that’s a Pisces for you! 🥴😩🫶🏾 wait the DRINKSSSS (The Bartender did her big one) all night 🔥. Communication for reservations was my only issue because they only answer by email for large party groups, but don’t be like me. Book one month in advance, Even earlier if you can.
Definitely recommend! Its an entire I vibe and the food as well as the drinks were on point!
I celebrated A friend’s birthday , last night it was 10 of us at the table, The ambience was nice. The DJ was the best part but honestly, I feel as we were robbed. Let’s start off by us having to order from a prefix menu because there was 10 of us, that really makes no sense at all. we all had to share appetizers and entrées , I was looking to have my personal meal, The price per person for the prefix was $100 and for that price your spliting food with the entire table , It simply wasn’t worth it , to damper the mood even more once the bill came we see that they charged us $50 for water at no point did the waiter point out that each bottle of water was $10 and at no point did our party ask water to be refilled but the waiter took it amongst himself to fill up our glasses of water. It was bought to the management attention and his response was nobody never made a complainit about it before, make that makes sense , How do you charge someone $10 for each bottle of water and keep refilling the water and charging $10 for every bottle of water. He ended up taking $20 off the water tab, The bill for 10 people came up to $1560 And if you wanted to pay using your card, it would’ve been an extra $100 each person excluding the birthday girl paid 173 dollars cash , 173 dollars for us to share food and one drink , watch out for all the extra fees that come with a party size 8 or more, I would never patronize this establishment again.
Panda is definitely a unique dining experience! We took the train in from Connecticut for a fun date night. The blend of hip-hop culture with Chinese comfort food is such a creative concept. I have to say I was blown away by the quality and flavor of all the food we had that night. I’m very particular about bao, and Panda passed my test. I really liked the green apple addition in the bao - I’ve never seen that before! The pork fried dumplings were great, and so was the spicy kung pao chicken (definitely a bearable spice). I chose the pork lo mein for my meal, figuring I would have leftovers since the menu stated it served two people. I was a bit surprised at the portion size that came out, especially for the price. It’s definitely a single portion size that I had no problem finishing, unless you would be sharing it for a side, but I think stating that it would serve two was a bit misleading. It was yummy though! The drinks weren’t bad. Our service was exceptional! Plates were cleared quickly, our glasses never went empty, and the food came out quickly. This was definitely an experience that my boyfriend and I don’t usually have, and it was fun to have a taste of NYC nightlife without going to a crazy club.
Bad service. Overly priced mediocre food. And, the front door security is rude, ignorant and lacks social skills or customer service skills. My experience just getting in foretold the bad overall experience. I have had better culinary experiences at Panda Express!
Walked by after dinner at Sofrito. The door staff was really nice and told us about the history of the place. (My partner had been to the previous iteration of the space.) The doormen invited inside to take a look around. I’m glad we did. It’s a very hip and trendy vibe. Good music. Beautiful flatscreens showing the Yankee game. We ended up grabbing a drink at the bar. The drinks hit the spot. Really plush bar seats and refined glassware. Also they have multiple private individual bathrooms. Can’t wait to come back for dinner!
I wasn’t able to get any pictures but I will definitely be back !!! My waiter Juan was amazing!!! The service was beyond amazing my water cup was never empty. The food was amazingly delicious. 10 stars to Panda’s staff . Definitely worth every dollar !! Thank you panda Harlem !
My initial experience off the walk in, was the places ambiance wasn’t as nice as I expected. But what really took me was the hostess in the front. Both girls were extremely rude, nasty, off putting, and just cold. There attitudes gave they did not want to work, and immediately made me feel unwelcome on my own birthday. I did book my reservation for 7+ people. I came in with 1 extra person which made it 8, the hostess immediately told me this would be a big problem & that we would have to eat from a fixed menu. (Why do I have to eat from a fixed menu when we’re the ones bringing money & everyone is already here?!!) HUGE RED FLAG. I asked to speak to the manager bc I didn’t eat any of the foods that were on the fixed menu. The manager never came but all of a sudden, it was okay for me to have 8 people as long as we spend $800 which we were ALREADY DOING. Because if you look at the prices it’s evident every person would spend at least 100 especially with drinks + desserts etc. If it wasn’t for the food being so good & our male waitress being so nice to me, I would give this place 0 stars. And now that I’m looking at reviews it’s evident that the hostess are nasty & this restaurant needs to do better with who they hire because those girls are extremely unwelcoming.
My husband and I went for a date night and It was our first time. The location is an old warehouse. The set up is streamline and simply. The decorations of the location is beautiful. Having music while you dine is great for me. Customer service was on point. Tipping extra is an option, since its included on the check. They do offer discount if paying cash.
I am terribly disappointed. I have been wanting to try this spot for a while. I made a reservation for brunch and I sat at the bar as I was waiting for the other member of my party to arrive. The bartender asked me what I wanted and I said a Bellini. She repeats the drink and walks away. I think she might have misheard me and when I see her asking her co-worker and looking on her phone I called her back over. I repeat that I would like a Bellini to which she responds Avellini. I tried explaining like a mimosa but with peach but at this point Im annoyed. She walks away and ask the waiter for help and he proceeded to make my drink. They come back and they tell me that there was no peach nectar so they used peach schnapps. I was literally sitting within speaking distance from them they could have just asked if I wanted something else. I finally get to my table and they sat me by the window. There was adraft and I dont know if it came from the window or the way the restaurant is set up but it made it uncomfortably cold and turned my food cold. I ordered the shrimp tempura ,the chicken wonton ,the beef fried rice and, vegetable egg rolls. Not one thing was better than just edible. The food is not even passably good. Any local Asian fusion restaurant has better food. By the time I went to the bathroom and they didnt have any paper towels I was over it. The only thing good I can say about this restaurant is that there was a good RnB playlist.
I made reservations to have dinner and drinks at Panda Harlem. The date I reserved was Dec. 21@10pm. I made the actual reservation on Dec. 20th. I received a call Dec. 21 @4:48pm- informing me my 10pm reservation must be changed to 9pm and then she proceeded to explain that they are having a holiday party at 10:30pm. There was no notice made on their IG or Website regarding the early closing. I was reasonable and asked if I could come at 9:15pm she said yes but she could only seat a complete party. I immediately knew that was not going to work. I am appalled at the lack of notice and unprofessionalism.
Nice ambiance! Dimmed lights & beautiful wall art. The food was great & the drinks were good. Its a little pricey especially being thing that main dishes doesnt come with a side. The side dishes does feed two. I had the Shanghai salmon, vegetable fried rice, shrimp lo Mein and a passion fruit martini 👍🏾Only thing I didnt like was that we were seated right beneath the vents & it was extremely cold
Went here for friend’s birthday dinner. I’m giving it 2 stars only bc my drink (piña colada) was good and so was the DJ. Other than that, I’ll pass on revisiting this establishment again. It was a party of about 10 pple so we had to do the prix fixe menu which is fine but I expected to make my own dinner selection from the menu. Instead everything was served family style in regular sized bowls. It was more like having a sample dish than an actually dinner. Second they neglect to inform patrons upfront that the water is $10 per bottle and give you the option of whether or not you would like the water. They instead fill patrons glasses from the start of dinner until the end. For having paid over $170 for a shared mediocre prix fixe dinner and one drink I was disappointed in this experience.
Had a great experience here! We went for dinner and our waiter Giovanni was very attentive and nice.We ordered two rounds of drinks — our favorites were the Dragonfruit Mojito and the Panda Margarita. Very creative and delicious cocktails. For our food, we got the Rock Shrimp Tempura, Chicken Satay, Kung Pao Chicken, and Shrimp Lo Mein. My only complaint is that the peanut sauce wasn’t a very strong peanut flavor. The Kung Pao Chicken was delicious.Overall, great food and service. Would recommend.
Besides the music and aesthetics this place has nothing to offer. The food is extremely flavorless and you constantly have to ask someone to find your waitress because they don’t check on you. The food was disgusting. We even tried to switch the passion fruit prawns out for the salt and pepper and literally felt the sodium overload in each bite. The prawns have a vinegar after taste. Everything about this location is underwhelming besides the DJ and visuals for pictures. I left feeling robbed. The waitress also asked me if I wanted fried rice instead of white, but never mentioned it was $20 extra. Will not return.
It is very ghetto and they do have hookah. I dont smoke and I wish I had known. Will not go back.
Very nice staff. Beautiful atmosphere. But the food could have been better. Specifically the main entrees. Appetizers were great though.
This place was disappointing. The party was forced into a pre-fix menu @ $85.00 pp. Dishes were served in small bowls, and taste like your typical Chinese food. No options for vegan and vegetarians. Very over priced. Not worth the money you will pay.
My group and I were in a private room but the vibes were everything. The DJ didn’t miss one time and the food was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be returning.
I did not enjoy the food, nor the price.
Never experienced such a unprofessionalism when trying to book a reservation. Every time I call im told only one person “ivy” can book a large party who never responds to emails. What kind of process is this? Even the manager could not help, he told me he saw no emails from me(I guess I made up the emails with ivy shano, he answered at first then just stopped) It should not take over 3 weeks to get a response for a reservation, still unable to schedule since November 8th with no one willing to assist. 1 star is generous.
Panda Harlem is the absolute best!!!!I absolutely recommend going here.
I hesitated to visit because I saw the mixed (especially negative) reviews. The ambiance and the service were excellent. BUT the food was blah. Other reviews state its like an expensive Panda Express, and that TOTALLY what it felt like. The filet mignon and broccoli was NOT giving filet mignon. More like gummy meat. And when you order your entrée, it doesnt tell you that it comes with white rice. So you order the noodles or fried rice because you think its al la cart, and then wont give you the white rice. So then we had to say, nooo, give me my white rice, too, please after spending an extra $16 because you thought you had to buy your starch separately. The dragonfruit mojito tasted like pucker. The chicken wontons and the sea bass WERE good, tho. BUT AGAIN, the presentation was great! Everything did look Instagram worthy. But taste wise, ehh. And being that almost everything we ordered came out in 5 minutes or less was giving microwavable/ already cooked and tossed up food. Is definitely no Philipé.
The food is mediocre. The bill came out to $230 but by the time they added gratuities, a fee to use your card, and other nonsense, the bill came up to over $300.We asked them to split the bill and they charged the same card twice. Will never return!
When you come ask for David! He’s the best bartender out! Me and the girls had a TIME! 10/10 !!!
The food was terrible so not come to this place unless u want to listen to music and just drink. The lychee martini was mediocre. Disgusting I need to go to the hospital after eating this food my stomach hurt so bad after. And they carry trash through the restaurant
My friends took me here for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I loved the decor and overall theme of this venue. There are several photo opportunities in this venue and I loved that. Our waiter, Malek from Croatia was dope too. The drinks were awesome. I had a traditional lychee martini.Though the establishment is nice, I was not crazy about the food. This restaurant has a much shorter menu compared to their sibling restaurants, Jue Lan & Sei Less. The chicken satays were spot on but the rest of the food just seemed as tho it was all pre cooked. My meal just didn’t provide the freshness I have been accustomed to eating. The lobster fried rice tasted like microwaved leftovers and my bestie’s beef & broccoli was way too mushy for me.I do understand it takes time to iron out the “new restaurant” kinks but with the necessary kitchen adjustments, this restaurant should fare well.
Great ambiance, food was tasty, music was definitely a vibe. Reservations suggested. Our waiter, Juan, was very hospitable and had a great personality!
Music is loud. Food is trash. Beware of surcharge. I don’t think surcharge is legal in nyc. Service is good. Would not recommend.
Food and fishbowl drink absolutely amazing
Stephanie and Greg were awesome help being my first time at Charles
I went for a birthday party with a group of about 30 ppl. It took a little too long to get drink orders. Then the food service took too long to come out. When the appetizers arrived, I was sad the chicken satay had peanut sauce all over it as I am allergic. Wish they had put it on the side. The food over all was good. Especially the beef and broccoli. The beef was so tender. The fried rice was another favorite. The desserts were good too Especially the chocolate cake and the tres leche. I ordered the Mexican Mule before the party started at the bar and it was way too strong. For the price of a cocktail I expected better and I wasnt able to drink it. The music was way too loud and the lights were annoying. It was like trying to enjoy a meal, but we were at a discotheque. Honestly I wouldnt go back on my own. Though the food was decent, this place is just way over priced and over hyped.
The atmosphere was nice and the vibe was good. Our first waitress wasnt very accommodating for a simple request ( we made reservations and wanted to switch tables because we didnt like our first table, we were seating directly under a vent and I was freezing cold). The manager got involved and was extremely sweet and facilitated our request to move. Its important to note that the space was only half full and there were lots of walk-ins.4 stars because the manager redeemed our experience.
Love the chicken satay and very cute trendy atmosphere they had good frozen which are my favorite drinks and the staff and service was friendly.
My girl found this place randomly on ig and saw that it was new and opening for Friday night, so we were able to snag 9:30 reservations. Upon our arrival, we were asked before entering for the name under the reservation. We got in no problem, but we were asked 2 more times right as we entered the name and time of the reservation. I guess they didnt hear her name, but she had to repeat to both people twice. A bit strange, but nothing crazy. The decor is AMAZING. Love the setup, the murals, and overall vibes of this place. The food was solid. We had chicken & Broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, chicken bao buns, and Lo Mein with lobster. My favorite which came as a surprise considering the featured ingredient was apple, was the bao buns. Drinks wise, we had a NY Sidecar and a Mexican Mule. I enjoyed the sidecar, and the mule was decent. Kind of wish it came in a mule cup though. As this spot progresses, I hope more over the top drinks and food items are added on the menu. Personally, I feel the food/drinks dont match how great the decor is. We seen that a bar was further in the space, so maybe the bartenders make secret speciality cocktails not on the menu. We wont know until we come back, which we plan to do in the near future.FYI, the waiter was ok. We ended up waiting long to get our bill back, but outside of that he was cool.
The host is so rude & miserable. She never smiles & hardly does her job. This is my 4th time coming and I am surprised they have someone so stale greeting guest. Times have definitely changed!!!
When I first about this spot I received good reviews about it today I decided to go for my birthday weekend and this spot was nice food good the service wasnt good as for as the host she has a very bad attitude the waiters was very kind the food is high and the drinks will be my first and last time going
Service 5 starsDrinks 5 starsApps 4 starsMain course 3 starsDecor and ambiance 4 starsThe salmon was overcooked and the vegetable fried rice lacked flavor. The other dishes had way too much sauce!
I felt special and satisfied thank you 😊
Horrible experience the security at the door was horribly rude and made me feel discriminated against because I am transgender number 2 when I got inside I was lied to about the wait time I was told 15 mins but waited a hour and 45 minutes before leaving terrible customer service and first impression definitely wouldn’t recommend
The ambiance of this place is chill enough for a date night or a girls nightThe food is good and the drinks are greatThe customer service is always unmatched
Great food and atmosphere and service.
Very cute place. Great customer service. Great drinks but the food… NO!!! Trust me when I say… eat before you come!
Amazing staff and food will come back
Food is always on point , hookah great and fast service ! I love it there
Good food drinks music and vibes
Food and music are on point. Best music Ive heard in a while. The food was amazing. Everything we had was top notch.
Really nice place, but the AC was up too high. They allow hookah smoking near families eating dinner. If they learned to separate the “party side” from regular dining customers. They would flourish, and turn down the AC in the back of the restaurant, WAY TOO COLD.
One of the waiters was extremely rude, to our party. As a result, we left, without ordering anything.
I can’t comment on the food because I left before we were able to try it because the service was trash.
My visit to Panda Harlem was unfortunately marred by an unpleasant encounter at the door. Despite being intrigued by the restaurants social media photos and eager to experience its ambiance, the isolated location in Harlem proved inconvenient. Upon noticing it was formerly Solomon and Kuff, I approached the doormen to inquire about dining. However, my simple question was met with unnecessary hostility from one of the doormen, who questioned my motives and rudely insinuated I only wanted to use the bathroom. This uncomfortable interaction escalated when the doormans behavior became confrontational, leading to him attempting to deny me entry and even calling the police. The situation was absurd and disappointing, particularly given the racial dynamics at play. Eventually, I was able to speak with the manager privately and relayed the incident. While the manager handled the situation appropriately and allowed me to enter, there was a notable lack of apology for the unpleasant encounter.Inside, I found the bartender to be friendly, albeit with limited English proficiency. However, the food, was disappointingly bland, even with condiments. Overall, my experience was marred by the unprofessional behavior of the doorman, which overshadowed any positives the restaurant may have had. I cannot recommend Panda Harlem based on my experience, and I will not be returning.
I’m a lifelong NY’er and I love Harlem and supporting Harlem businesses so this hurts to write. I’m leaving a one star review because last night we got bait-and-switched on the price of our drinks. It said $16, and we were charged $21 per drink. This isn’t about the money, but the principal of a business coming into Harlem and lying to people. (I would have been fine to pay the amount we were eventually charged if that’s what was on the menu). Our previously good night was soured and we left with a really bad taste in our mouths (not because of the drink!) but because it felt like I got scammed. The bartender told us it was tax but that would have been $1.50, not $5.50. If you go, don’t be surprised if they charge you hidden and unadvertised fees. Oh and I’ve included a photo of the super sketchy receipt, it doesn’t itemize anything, probably because they’d prefer to hide how they arrive at their total.
My friends gave me a surprise retirement dinner here. The food was flavorful, and the service was great, but the AC was not working, and it was hot in there. They were fixing it while we were there.
The place is a complete scam. Arrived at 630 pm during happy hour was charged full price for drinks. Ordered colossal lobster which the waiter said would feed 3 people and it barely fed 1 person. The lobster had no claws and many of the pieces tasted like monk fish and not lobster. The Bok Choy was greasy since it was sitting in at least 2 sticks of butter. Was charged gratuity for a party of two which is usually reserved for large parties. Never again this is a cash grab. Lastly the bus boys grabbed plates off the table without a word. And did I mention our table was very wobbly and instead of moving us they fixed while we sat there. NEVER AGAIN
Bartender David was so amazing. Drinks were bomb
Service was 1st class, very attentive. Its so nice to see that customer service is still important here!
My friends and I visited Panda Harlem last night for a birthday celebration. Our experience was AMAZING! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Hannah the asst mngr at the door and she gave us an awesome table, was pleasant and very attentive to our needs all night! Our servers were all great as well and it was the best way to kick off our trip!! Will absolutely be back!
This place is the best! Great food and amazing playlist! Definitely recommend and would come back again!
Everything about this place is a vibe ! The food, drinks and music. I will be going BACK !
Our dining experience at Panda Harlem was ruined by our experience with server Giovanni table 208. Our bus boy prematurely removed my husband $17.00 drink prior to him finishing it w/o even asking if he was done. When we brought it to Giovanni attention he made matters worse by providing us with a back handed apology and a replacement drink that was only 1/3 filled. With a different drink than what my husband had initially order. We kindly refused the drink because it was not sincere and if we could have reminded the $33.00 gratuity that Giovanni didnt earn we would have. Giovanni would benefit from a customer service training and should not be customer facing at all. He ruined a perfectly great evening and I will recommend that patrons avoid him at all cost.
My server Jennybel was awesome best service ever!!! Will definitely come and ask for her made my experience great.
Cute but expensive 2 drinks and 1 appetizer cost 74.99 bucks.. will come back for the brunch
I love everything about this place. i would come every weekend if i could!
This place is just to hang out. Food was nasty. Dont order the filet mignon not steak it was horrible. The service was horrible. I do not recommend this spot for food especially for the price. Regular Chinese food taste 100% better.
When we got there the Hostess was very welcoming. We had the private room so we hung out at the bar while they finished get our room ready. Once there the service was amazing. The drinks were hitting and the food was delicious.
Nice spot but the food was not impressive and very oily, I got an upset stomach for 2 days after eating there.
Hard to find! They have 2 prices for someone pay cash and credit card which it shoulda been one price…. Love the music.. customer service was good
Music was nice . Service was great .didnt have to wait long . Food was delicious
Vibes from dj and wait staff are decent. Prices are decent however front desk was rude you make reservations and they don’t explain everything in debt in black and white reading so when you get there your hit with a whole bunch of extra money for this and that because they aren’t well put together. Food is pretty good I’ll give them that. They weren’t very accommodating for a birthday celebration when the restaurant was damn near half empty they sat us separated from each other. Just a hot mess maybe just get take out because the food is decent m. But they try b rip u off any chance they get
David was such a great bartender!! Definitely recommend.
I had thee best time at Panda, thanks to Andres, Hannah, and our server Edgar. I hosted a party of 12 in their private room and Andres made sure we had the best, elevated experience. Hannah was super sweet, patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating! As a team they made what was a hectic process, extremely seamless! Edgar was super attentive to us the entire night! The food was great, drinks were actually crafted to perfection, vibes were on point, and service was great. Cant wait to go back! Thanks guys!
My server jennybel was amazing and serve with amazing service.
Jennybell was amazing attentive and so sweet. Will definitely be back .!!!!
The restaurant was beautiful inside and very spacious. The decor was on point. Our Waiter was nice seem to be new however handle our orders well. The music was great. The Only down side for me was that they did hookah throughout the place. That was a surprise as they never told me when reserving our table or when we got there. Overall I had a great time and so did my party. The food was amazing. I will be going back.
Its a great place here at Panda Harlem! The staff is very pleasant and welcoming, the atmosphere is a whole vibe and is very cool. You can tell they are knowledgeable and that the satisfaction of their consumers is their top priority. The food is great—it includes both traditional Asian fare and modern twists—and definitely worth the price. Their service in the private room as well is amazing. They made sure my party and I were well taken care off for the entire night. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone considering to come to Panda Harlem.
This place is amazing. Everything you would expect from a high-end establishment, hidden away in Harlem. The food was delicious and proportioned well. It is pricey but if you pay attention, you can afford to have a great time without breaking the bank.
Went here for my boyfriends birthday & I had to leave a review. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The appetizers & entree were 9/10. They also have a good selection of desserts & if you are celebrating a special occasion, they will bring out the magic candles with your choice of dessert. Overall good experience, keep in mind that we went on a Tuesday, so I am not sure how it is on the weekends.
Me and a group of my friends had a great time at Panda Harlem. The food was great. The atmosphere was good as well. Live Dj was on point. The drinks were pretty good. Just expensive!! $55 for 2 drinks. Overall we had a nice time. I highly recommend to go on a Friday night around 9pm and try the filet mignon and broccoli. Delicious!!
The ambience is amazing. The food and drinks were on point. Customer service was good as well. The all around vibe was good, including the music. Definitely would recommend this spot. Funny they take pictures of you and charge you $25 for it. The frame is from the dollar store, so Im confused as to why $25?
Mr.Hasim was very helpful and polite the service was great the food was great ,the music was great overall 10/10 definitely would want to come back Thanks panda Harlem.
I gave it 3 stars because the food was really good but service needs improvement. Came for restaurant week with girlfriends. Waiter was dismissive, way too comfortable (calling us baby every 2 seconds) and didn’t really seem to know the menu well. One of my friends asked for a drink on the menu and he literally said that drink was never really a part of the menu. Like, huh? Then why is it on the menu? Then she asked for another drink instead and asked for it as a frozen drink. He brought the drink unfrozen and tried to say it was a different “texture” of frozen LOL. So when I pointed out that my drink was an actual frozen drink to show him in comparison, he looked at me and said “whatever” 😮 then proceeds to try to convince my friend her drink was frozen. Very dismissive. So she sent it back, went to the bar and asked the bartender what frozen drinks they had and guess what, the initial drink she wanted, they do make it and she said it was very good, so clearly the waiter was not well informed and properly trained on what the restaurant actually serves. He tried to make up for it in the end by giving us all shots on the house, but that doesn’t take away from his attitude. Food was great but service needs improvement.
I absolutely loved Panda Harlem! Theresa made sure that we had an amazing time. Everything from the food, music and cocktails were delish.
Enjoyed our time. Food was delicious, drinks were on point. Would come to eat again! Beautiful decor. Theres a dress code so look up details in advance.
The food was horrible. Ordered chicken and broccoli — veggies were over cooked, sauce was gross and the rice tasted stale. Then someone next to me smoked hookah and the smell got all into my clothes. Menu is overpriced in my opinion. The music was pretty good.
Ordered a beef fried rice with onions and bean sprouts kid seem to be sprouts neither the onions and the beef was tiny little strips for 20 something dollars shame shame shame. The rice was mushy horrible just full of soy sauce not a good luck. Will try you guys again though need to look into this.
Love love love everything about thos place 💕 ❤️ I will be back very soon
For the price the food couldve been better and fresher. I had chicken and broccoli with hard white rice. Taste better at the regular Chinese joints. The drinks are good.
Great food and good music 🎶
Waited over an hour for dinner to come out. Not a good experience for a saturday night.
Service was good, food nice and hot. Atmosphere was great.
Came here for a quick drink at the bar and the bartender (girl) gave us our check but didn’t give us the original receipt. When we looked, our bill for 1 Jameson, beer and soda was $41! We were shocked by that price so asked for the receipt and found that tip was included to the $41 bill! She didn’t give us the receipt and didn’t tell us tip was included when she came back with our credit card slip. SO shady. Don’t support shady businesses in nyc.
Brunch was kinda dead, and the food was ok but a lil over price.
Food was good. The shrimp satay was delicious. Service was good. Saturdays are very busy. The built in gratuity was crazy and there were other fees on the bill. I don’t think I’d go back as the experience was cool but not to where repeat visits would be worth it.
Panda Harlem has Terrible service they over booked my family reservation…they don’t know how to talk to their customers either.
I had an amazing time with my wife. From the security at the door, the hostesses, the manager and my server they were amazing. The food and the drinks were great, music was excellent they had a really good DJ. I am and will return to Panda this is now my personal favorite. I truly thank the staff for making my night a memorable one, keep up the superb work.
The decor here is so beautiful! The food and cocktails were really tasty!
Great atmosphere, but the waitress seems pre occupied chatting with the bar tender rather than see my hand waiving at her for 10 minutes...she was not attentive.
I have gone to this establishment three times all three times the drinks were good and the food was pretty good. Only issue is the fake valet parking. You are charging people $40.00 for street parking. You set up cones at 3pm and block the spots for people to park free on the street. You dont own the block nor do you have the authority to block off the spots. You dont have a permit so your stealing peoples money for a quick buck. Do not pay for the spots just move the cone and park your car. They cant get you towed because they dont own the spots. I will be reporting you to 311
This place was amazing. The assistant manager Hannah was great. She really made sure to accommodate our party. The food was delicious. We had the lobster fried rice, scallion pancakes, chicken satay and filet mignon. The server Ralph was highly on point and a pleasure to deal with. David the bartender’s drinks were on point. The DJ killed it. The manager Dre took care of us. Even Kevin the security was on point. Highly recommended +++
Overpriced food and drinks. Honestly why charge gratuity for a party of 4, if the standard is charging gratuity for a party of 6 or more, or better yet charge automatic gratuity for a person sitting in the bar?! Food was good, but the atmosphere did not sit well with me.
Good vibes on a Sunday
Random date night we ventured here. It’s a really artistic setup however I didn’t order anything because it was packed. Even the bar had no seats available. However you can get a nice photo op in almost every corner of this place & the music creates a nice vibe. But for future reference aim to make a reservation.
The food was not all that for the money spent a waste I def give it a 5
Great vibes, great drinks… the DJ was elite and the ladies, top tier
Purchased a post and even put it in the reservation. Get to place and the manager say theyre not accepting them anymore. They shouldve honored their post.
I came here because the vibes looked great on IG. The employees were nice, my bartender was sweet. You can tell the food wasn’t made to order as there was barely any wait time when we received it. I ordered their shrimp and broccoli. My rice tasted like it was a day old and the sauce on my meat and veggies had a weird texture (like mucus) and although it didn’t taste bad the texture was very off putting. My friend ordered filet mignon and broccoli but it was more like beef and broccoli it was just chunks of beef with broccoli and rice. The place was nicely decorated but the lights were very dimmed all over including the bathroom.
Jenny bel was so great I love her service !!!She made my first date mean so much ..
