Paul Bar NYC

Used to hang out here but hadn’t been in a while and decided to check it out. I walked in and there were a handful of people milling around the front desk as well as an aggressive security guard who informed me I was on private property and should leave immediately. Very strange experience. Not sure why the sign is still up. Best to avoid.

The views are semi nice and that is about the only decent thing at this place. After being charged $70 for “top shelf liquor”, I asked the bar tender why we were charged so much for two drinks. She told me “I gave you what you ordered”. If they think Jim Beam is top shelf they need a reality check. They have $15 cocktails on their online menu which apparently aren’t available in real life. Then, after paying that much, we were asked to leave an hour early, I assume just because the wait staff wanted to go home. I’m not one for nasty reviews but please don’t waste your time here.

Great view, laid back atmosphere and very friendly staff. Beers ($10) could have been a bit colder and have more variety; cocktails ($15) were just ok. If you want a drink with a view in a not too crowded spaced with friendly staff, Pauls is for you.

The bartender was excellent. The atmosphere was cool with a great view of the Empire State Building.

Great drinks and service. Love the food and the skyline view.

This shelter is the worse. No customer service and the Director is very nasty…

The hotel is an asylum shelter now. Went last Friday but we were greeted by a really polite soldier in full uniform. I will add that he was kind enough to direct us next door to a hotel rooftop bar that was still open. Just be aware that this is closed as I don’t see it in any of the reviews or on the maps page.

I have Been several times. The staff is friendly and nice. Very chill atmosphere. You feel right next to the buildings. Better than others in the area with high walls. Recommending this location.

The rooftop is great the drinks the view definitely worth the trip and best thing u don’t have to stay at the hotel if u don’t want too is open to everyone…. The lounge is also a great chill place overall I’m happy thankfully the times I stud there nothing happened to my things but I continue to go just for drinks and a good time….

If someone is thinking of staying in this hotel DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT Is full of crooks who play the dumb and steal your money and clothes. The room is completely unsafe and the cleaning staff are thieves. DONT STAY

I saw the bad reviews for this bar and thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance anyway. I ordered a beverage with bottom shelf whiskey and was charged $35 for top shelf liquor, and was then asked to leave an hour before they were scheduled to close. My opinion: this bar isnt worth it. Dont attend

Bar had a nice ambience, though it was a bit hot. Staff were nice enough.

This should not be considered a rooftop bar. it literally can fit 8ppl max. The other floors are ok music not so good, drinks ok...

They completely scammed us! We ordered a bottle and some juice. And they charged us $800 for it. When we tried to tell them they kept trying to change the subject
