Solid option for people waiting for the airport shuttle. The times change regularly (currently the bus is on the hour) and if you get caught out this is a convenient and friendly place to have a quick pint. The space is huge and normally has free seats. Its a mix of travellers and some local business folk. Bar staff a pleasant, prices are standard for midtown NYC (~$8 for reasonable IPA).

A decent stop for happy hour drinks. I have been to quite a few team building drink events here. The service is decent and they have a pretty large selection. They are a little overpriced, but its midtown, so that is to be expected. I tried a few of the appetizers, they were good, but just classic bar food. Nothing out of this world.

A fantastic sports bar near Grand Central serving beers and pub-style fare to an after-work crowd. This joint has a large space and caters to a sports atmosphere, but also has an upscale vibe to it with great music. They have a decent selection of whiskeys and the bartenders are very friendly willing to help you with your drinks selection. The prices are moderate to high, especially on the whiskey selections. If youre in midtown east area, then definitely check this place out.

The atmosphere at 7pm on a Friday was very almost like a nightclub. Very loud for a sit down dinner. They lost our reservation, but seated us anyway. Got the Cuban sandwich and felt it was a little wimpy for the price, but there were plenty of fries. I probably would not come back, at least not for food.

Good place that has special promotions where you can win a happy hour for yourself and some friends. The ceiling are pretty high which makes the bar feel spacious and not too crowded and they do serve bar food if youre hungry. Its pretty tough to get a table though if you didnt get there first as people with a table tend to sit there for a while. And if you came there with a big group, itll be difficult to find a nook to stand at without having people bumping into you.

A fun and spirited sports bar (with the right patrons of course!). The night ended up being more special because someone was generous enough to buy our table (and many others) a bottle of champagne to celebrate their teams victory! We ordered veggie nachos and guac which were fine but nothing to write home about. Service was great and Id trek back to the East side to go there again :)

Huge dishes - between 2 (not overly hungry) people, we ordered 3 appetizers and couldnt finish it all - so I highly recommend this method (and the appetizers are frankly much more interesting than the entrees). One complaint though - their background music volume level is off the charts: they turn it all the way up to 12. We were sitting in a booth away from the bar and had to shout to be heard.

I came here for the first time today on a Wednesday and the floor was busy so I sat at the bar and was recommended by the bartender to have chicken and waffles. I have to say it was one of the best chicken and waffles I had. I also ordered an o’fashioned drink from the cocktail menu and the Loretta the bartender made it so quickly as she was attending to others. I will be back here next week.

On weekdays and weekend nights this place can attract more financial business men. Can get very rowdy or calm depending on the day. On the weekends the bar is a great Steelers bar to watch the games. The serve higher end bar food. The pulled pork sandwich and artichoke and spinach dip are their better offerings.

This is one of those places that always has a really long line outside but is fairly empty inside. Once inside, you realize that waiting 20+ minutes outside wasnt really worth it. The music is eh, and for a place thats so large this is very sad since there is plenty of room to dance and more around. Luckily the drinks arent outrageously prices (just the typical high NYC prices). When I went I was also able to get a table, since it was so empty, and had a waitress who surprisingly served us at a good pace. After my first very weak drink, I had asked her to make it stronger and she definitely delivered. So, my recommendations are to get there early if you dont want to wait in line and specifically order strong drinks until it fills up so that by the time it has potential to be fun, youre drunk.

This bar was hellishly awful. So awful it was almost comical. Think Sartres No Exit. As a disclaimer, I will say I attended on a Friday night as part of an open bar promo that a friend of mine had won (which apparently is a common way to end up here). I showed up a little after 9 (a few minute after the open bar started) and the place was already packed beyond what could be reasonably safe. Apparently there were quite a few open bar contest winners, plus at least one group of people who for some reason paid to be here for a party. It was nearly impossible to get near the bar, and I dont know how anyone managed to get to the other side of the place to get to the bathroom. There was a larger seating area that looked like it had an open floor, but for some reason this section was closed, leaving about 2/3rds of the bar off limits and further contributing to what could only be a fire marshalls worst nightmare. The music was loud and the playlist wasnt coherent. Spanish sports channels were on the large screen TVs, further confusing an already indecipherable vibe. Around 9:30 they turned on some party lights and a fog machine, though who these were for I cant say since there wasnt enough room to walk, let alone dance. Ive heard people go to this bar as a joke because its notoriously bad, but it isnt worth the trip for that, even if there are free drinks involved.

In response to the reply from the business; Don’t lie, I have left reviews 5 stars and 3 stars for businesses that deserved it. Don’t make up a lie.instead of offering a revisit to the business to amend what was done wrong for my BIRTHDAY, you insisted that I, the customer, is wrong? Very professional. Only reason I gave you 2mins if my day to leave a review is because it was my birthday. You Also didn’t reply to the fact of her lack of knowledge of the liquor.I asked for Glenlevet 18 year but when the bartender poured it for me it was so dark and tasted cheaper than red label... I asked to bring a brand new bottle and she said no it’s the same, I told her bring it just to compare the color of the unopened bottle and the one she just poured and she said oh no we can’t do that... when I asked for a manager she said he isn’t here lmaoooo ... not going here ever again. Nicest staff and great food! Stopped by to watch some football (huge movie size screen set up on side of building outside with lots of TVs around) and am so happy I did. Joey and Marla are beyond accommodating and so nice. Marla even made me my new favorite drink with their own home brewed hot apple cider (it’s delicious!). A great sports bar who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome (and safe - my drinks came with covers on them and all staff wore gloves and masks at all times). Ive been here for multiple happy hours (usually 1.5-3 stars) but had the good fortune of winning a complimentary wine prefixe dinner (3-3.5 stars) so SO and I came here last Tuesday. On to the food (not quite covered int the other reviews), it was surprisingly not bad.Food & drinks:SO and loved the BBQ wings ($9, not included in pre-fixe but delicious- very flavorful and juicy). Very glad we ordered this as prefixe portions, while tasty for the most part, were small.Plentiful wine selections (each course had 2 wines to choose from, a red or a white- free free to choose any 6 during your dinner). My drink of choice was the white sangria (a bit watered down, but seltzery and sweet) while SO enjoyed multiple glasses of the Pinot Grigio (semi-sweet and full-flavored)SOs entree consisted of a salmon (yum! so soft and lovely) and risotto (small, but tasty) while I opfted for the vegetarian lasagna (generously sauced, pleasantly surprised)The absolute highlight of my meal was the Butter Cookie Smash which consisted of 5-6 small butter cookies on a warm pan, a la mode! Dont remember what SO had, but we both fought to finish mine off! While I was warned the prefixe wine dinner included a 18% gratuity SO and I were surprised to see an automatic 20% tip instead. We didnt dispute it though, as dinner was pretty tasty and they were generous with the wine. Worth it!

It comes with a side that you pick fries, sweet potato fries, chips, or a salad. I chose the fries. The first thing I noticed when the food came is that the sandwich was not on a brioche, it was a regular hamburger roll. The pork itself tasted inconsistent as some parts were too dry and some were really moist. Also, the drinks that were ordered came out after the food arrived. Service was very slow. It is unlikely that I will return for the food. This place is better for after work drinks because it usually looks full when I pass by after work.

Well should have looked at the peak times, service was horrific. It was 430 and I thought it would be better, bar was hopping but the dining room had 2 other patrons. The waitress walked around like they she coukd care less, and yes the hostess well she was as stale as yesterdays lunch. No personality what so ever , my lady asked her a question about the games on tv and she turned her back, rude and very unprofessional. She was not even cute , could not get her face out of her cell phone. The 2 appetizers we had were good and so was the drink. I really dont know if I might give this place another go round. The hostess had no experience with people that was evident. We didnt even get a glass of water. It took them over 25 minutes to bring a cocktail and a coke. Sorry public house on this night my rating for your establishment is less than fair its poor . Grade D

I loved it when it was more of a Steelers bar on Sundays. Still a reliable place to grab a bite near major transportation.

My company had a private holiday party here. Food service was extremely poorly managed, creating extremely long lines for food as the kitchen didnt send out nearly enough for the number of attendees and there was a long wait for more food to be made. When one of my co-workers asked a server why they were running out of food, he yelled at her. Not a great choice for an event as they dont seem to have their operations together.

Nice spacious bar that is very inviting, you can certainly have friends come and have a good time because they have the space for a lot of people . but the bar service is pretty slow, but I digress considering i came during the NFL playoffs. consider coming when there isnt a lot going onPS .. bills fans know how to have fun

I just didnt enjoy my last visit here. They issued wristbands for a happy hour for a group with which Im involved, but they also did so for several other groups on the same night. The place was way overcrowded. It had kind of a gimmicky, jockish bro kind of vibe. The music was too loud to carry on a conversation. What saves thia place from a 1-star rating is its central location and decent food.

Ranking pretty high on the “Bro” Index, Public House is a pretty packed bar with limited seating. The bar is huge and wraps around two entire walls, but the rest of the space is taken by tables which are typically reserved or booked for events. There’s a back room and upstairs balcony area for private functions as well. The bar gets super crowded and it’s pretty difficult to move around at all. The beer selection is good, but not great with few standouts. For private events, the beer selection was weak, with only Corona, Heineken, and Amstel. Service was somehow less than ambivalent, clearly wanting to be anywhere besides interacting with you. Drinks were still poured quick and without any attitude, but it was kind of like being served by the teenager who really doesn’t want to be spending time with their family, and you are the family. Food was good, but not much beyond what you’d get at a chain restaurant, featuring mozzarella sticks, nachos, and wings.

So big and fun good music solid vibe... Solid food selection too! Only cretique is they need a few more bartenders on busy nights.. I think they dont realize how big their spot is and understaff sometimes they have plenty of space behind that bar! Other than that, Tom W is the MAN!!! Recommended goto spot!

Good food. Great drink selection BUT every & I mean every $15 cocktail listed I could not get a 2nd drink because they ran out of the syrups. 🤷🏽‍♀️huh ?? How does a bar run out of liquored syrups? Mind boggling and disappointing to say the least. Especially when I need a 2nd drink after a long day😑

The beer is old and tastes like death. If you have to drink beer here stick to bottles. Dont bother telling staff, they dont care. And avoid the Jameson because its 14 bucks a pop. Rip-off!

Large space and decent bar for after work. It can get fairly crowded, and doesnt have the best layout for moving freely. However, they do have a private back room that we have rented for a few occasions.

This place gets packed fast so make sure to put your name on the list. Very tight so be prepared to be sitting right next to other couples, and groups. The food is very good. Lets start with the shrimp buns, if you love shrimp youll love this, it does have a spicy sauce on it but its a great combination. The ramen is where its at!! So so good!! We got the regular ramen, and asked for spice to add our own and it just adds to the flavor. Just come hungry because it makes you very full!!

The food is terrible here. I order quesadillas and they were bland and tasted as if they had stored in the freezer for a while. The only draw is that there are a lot of screens to watch games but it’s not a popular spot and not worth ordering food.
