If you want great food and a great time Row House is the place you need to be. The staff makes me feel welcome at all times. My favorite is the Truffle Grilled Cheese with Bacon and Fries. The wings are great along with everything else on the menu. I advise you stop on by and enjoy the great food and vibes you won’t be disappointed .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was good, the music was great and the vibe was awesome. Had a really good time celebrating my Born Day brunch with four of my high school friends of 42 years of friendship and love. 😚
Row house is a Black owned fun and upbeat restaurant in Harlem. We went for dinner to celebrate my best friend’s birthday and we were thoroughly surprised by the atmosphere. Our table was right across from the DJ booth so we were right in the action of everything. The music was rolling all night and the people were up dancing. The food on the other hand was nothing to call home about. I ordered the trout entree the fish lacked flavor and the capers did not save it. Also, there were a lot of bones in the fish making it hard for me to enjoy. For my sides I got four thick potato wedges and a spoonful of spinach. All were not good. Our server was ok he barely checked in on us but gave us a complimentary glass of champagne which we appreciated. The atmosphere makes me want to come back but the food does not.
From the moment we arrived, we were seated at the exact time of our reservation although it was very busy. The service was amazing and the waiters and servers were attentive and apologized for the wait. Remi took over our table and I can say we were satisfied with his service. He had two big parties and still made it his business to inquire about our needs. When ordering brunch, you get a complimentary drink. This restaurant was definitely worth the time and coins! Live musical band and the space is on the tight side but overall great experience.
Went to a birthday party thereThe waiter was goodThe drinks are okayThe food was okay
This place on a Saturday is amazing, the people the DJ and music, the staff and the FOOD were all on point. The wings, ribs were out of this world and deviled eggs they take seriously. Everyone there were just having a good time enjoying the drinks and food. I can’t wait to back
The food here is amazing! We ordered several dishes and all were tasty except for one. Pan seared scallops is not at all pan seared scallops. They are bay scallops and there is a huge difference. Hence the 4 stars on food. All of the other things we ordered crabcakes, Asian wings, ribs and two salads were amazing. And the deviled eggs had a crunch and spice all of their own. The drinks were pretty good. It is busy and noisy but it was a Sunday afternoon and the weather was beautiful so everyone was out. It took some time to seat us but they got it together.
This Harlem spot gave all the vibes we were seeking. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Drinks were overpriced. Service for my large group of 30 was managed by 1 incredible server but would have been faster if they had 2 taking orders. DJ was popping and we were dancing between the tables and they didnt mind.
The music and vibes was definitely on point. The food was OK, small portions. The jamaican rum punch was good The seating arrangements was small and tight. I wouldnt recommend the small circle tables. There was no space for our food & drinks! 😒
I had the pleasure of dining at Row House in Harlem, New York. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I had the Truffled Grilled Cheese, which was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of spice. The sides were also delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the overall experience was great. I would definitely recommend Row House to anyone looking for a great meal and amazing music in Harlem. Everything was exceptional and a great brunch.
I had a wonderful time for Sunday brunch. The mimosas were on point, with many flavors to choose from. My steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, and the live music pulled it all together. This was definitely a good time.
My Turkey burger was sooo dry, I couldnt cut it!!! But my dates truffle burger looked juicy and he said it was great!!!! My bartender tho, she makes u wanna come back!!! I vibe was very mature...it was Thursday but I had great time and DJ was dope too!!!
I had a birthday celebration brunch and made a reservation for 10, however about 20-25 ppl showed up and the staff was more than accommodating to seat all my guests together. The server was friendly and efficient and the food was served quickly. The server even allowed for multiple checks. Food is always delish and drinks on point!!!
Atmosphere...super fun...deejays...so dope...perfect blend of hip hop and r&b real turntable mixing...with serious music affectionados . I had a great time hanging in a party of 14 of my Sorority sisters. As for the food...meh. really meh. In other words it wasnt terrible, but it wasnt anything at all to write home about. I asked others about their dishes and I took a good look at their dishes. Their comments: The fried chicken...over cooked, the Shrimp and grits underwhelming (please remove the tail shell when serving with grits) the burger was okay...the wings looked dry, but had good flavor...the sangria was a hit.I ordered 2 dishes...the Kale and Quinoa salad and the Crab Cakes Benedict which I did not know came with potatoes (a disappointment) and a small spinach salad, lightly dressed.Dish 1. Kale and Quinoa...best dish. It was light yet filling. I would have liked larger beets, but overall the flavor profile was really a nice balance of acid and sweet with a nice crunch. *read the menu*Dish 2. The Crab Cakes Benedict. The poached egg was perfectly cooked. The Crab cake was a miss for me. I tasted mostly filling...not much Crab at all. The missing mesculin greens from that dish removed the expected brightness from eating a rich yolkey dish. The English muffin did not play a strong support role at all.Would I go back? Absolutely! Did I mention the deejays are fire? I just think when its busy (and it really was). There just has to be greater care given to the preparation for every dish served. HARLEM is full of foodies.
Saw the postings on FB and decided to go. I must say we weren’t disappointed. Food and drinks was great, service was great & the music was on point. We will definitely return.
Celebrated my friends bday and had a blast!!! Music was great food was great atmosphere was right up my alley!! Ill definitely be back!!
The definition of meh. Service was awful. I think our waitress came to our table twice? Once to take our order, once to drop off food. We had to walk around to try to find her so we could pay our tab and leave. The restaurant is extremely loud as everyone else mentioned which is fine but don’t come expecting to be able to talk. The food is fine. Easily something you could make yourself, cheaper. Definitely won’t be coming back.
Charming cornerstone establishment:We were in a mood for small bite to eat with drinks. This establishment came on our radar since they closed later in the evening. We arrived around 8-8:30pm.The hostess was super attentive. We were seated outside. I believe we had two servers who were extremely attentive too.The Mac and cheese was good.Their drinks are super strong which is great. The bathrooms are clean and pleasant. The ice cream wasn’t great. This establishment gets 4 stars because of their food quality, hospitality and attentiveness from the servers. I will go back and try their other menu items.
Across the Board 10/10!!! I usually go for brunch and when I do Row House never fail. They have the vibe, the culture, the energy, the food/drinks, the music rather on a Saturday a live Dj or on Sundays a live Band, ambiance and more importantly the love. It’s Harlem, go find out for yourself, better yet Go Eat! Thank me Now.
Loved this place. We ended up there after attending Uptown Bounce. The atmosphere was chill and its a beautiful space. The drinks are good. I had the Potato Bites and they were 😋. Sometimes the wait on the drinks was a little long even though it wasnt crowded but other than that the waiter was pleasant and patient with taking all our orders. I would love to return.
Today is my first time at this restaurant. The live band set a tone of joyous relaxation. I ordered the okra, Mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, and veggie omelette. The shrimp and grits, omelette, and service were awesome.See the pictures attached. Hope this helps
The food was so good” the music was everything to get you in the mood. I had a prime rib, and it was to die for very tender. it will make you understand why it takes so long.
I hate to give a low rating because I genuinely believe the food is most likely better during the day. We had the Asian wings since they were out of the other options. Chicken and waffles were burnt and the waffle looked like it was frozen the reheated. We sent it back. The chicken fried rice was good had good flavor but wasn’t fresh. The staff was clearly tired as he had a very nonchalant attitude. This place seems like it is definitely a vibe.
One of the best restaurants in the city. Has a black owner who understands Harlem with live jazz bands and great atmosphere from the paintings to the lighting in each section of the restaurant. The food is excellent and the waiters are very attentive. Great spot to have brunch on Sundays and the mimosas are on point. Great customer service, great people. Will be back here yo try dinner one day.
The steak and eggs were delicious. If you like spicy food then get the shrimp and grits. You can also get it without the sauce, which is what makes it spicy. If I would have known that prior to ordering I would have opted for the sauce on the side. I gave them three stars due to them adding a SUGGESTED gratuity of 20% and when we paid what we thought was a gracious amount for the tip the waitress came back and said we still owed her four dollars. Now I know what a suggestion is, but once we spoke to the manager she could not clear up the misconception with the gratuity. Just be aware of the charges on your bill. Also, dont use the restrooms they are not clean and smell of urine throughout.
This place is perfect for gathering with friends to have drinks. But the service isnt good and the food is horrible. I ordered the scallops and didnt take more than 2 spoons . But its def a vibe to hangout. Music and drinks are good. Just eat before you go.
We had such a great time at Row House!!! The food, the atmosphere, the music, the service, everything was on point!!! This is a must if you’re looking for a fun Saturday brunch with great vibes!! Cannot wait to go back!!!
Had a great time here! We went for Sunday brunch and enjoyed the food and the drinks! The place has outdoor seating and the indoor space is spacious! It was clean and when a group was done the table was cleaned and sanitized quickly. We had a steak salad, chicken and waffles, Mac n cheese, Maryland Crab cakes, the deviled eggs, and shrimp n grits. We will definitely be going back! The only thing was the live jazz band…they were good but they played so loudly that we could hardly have a conversation amongst ourselves. We had to yell to each other across the table to be heard and that was a big takeaway for us!
Ally is an amazing HOST! She put the icing on the cake here! The food, music, and atmosphere is perfect.
Happy hour was priced just right, the calamari was fried to perfection and the music was a vibe. I truly enjoyed my visit.
5 stars for the vibes4 stars for the foodI came for the Afro brunch party on Saturday and it was lit! The food was yummy. I had the Mac and Cheese trio, I personally think the lobster truffle Mac was the best/most flavorful. The drinks are tasty and strong. Had the Henny punch, it’s soo good and you can’t even taste all the alcohol in it - dangerous! (In a good way). The vibes were amazing! I will definitely be back.
We had a great experience here. The manager Angel was thoughtful and patient. Me made the overall time there pleasant. Id go again and recommend it to others
Went after work on a Tuesday and they had great taco deals ($4 tacos) and really good drink specials! Margaritas were only $5 (includes flavors) and there were excellent! A whole pitcher was $25. Im a vegetarian and I had many options to choose from on the specials menu. Vegetarian tacos are highly recommended!. We also had a farmers market quesadilla- so delicious we ordered another one. Music was great. Best tuesday night spot so far. Will be back.
I went here for Sunday Brunch. Delicious food options. Very well priced. I had some sangria which was very good. They also have a live jazz band from like 12-4 every Sunday. They played some amazing music. The vibe was very nice.
We came here for birthday brunch to celebrate my nieces 20th birthday. This gone here is electric. The music, the energy, the decor, the ha Band!! Great stop to just chill and have fun.Food is tasty- fusion between soul with a splash of healthy.
Ive been to Row House plenty of times. Food, service and ambiance is great. But I recently went and ordered a Meditations salad and it was despicable. Ive seen larger salads served at McDonalds. For $17 to serve scraps of overly chopped romaine lettuce and 4 little measly olives was straight robbery. I was on a fast and salad was my only option. Never again. Dont order the salads! Wish I took a pic.
Great atmosphere! Delicious food choices! One suggestion.... their blt needs more bacon (2 lil strips didnt cut it)! I would visit again. 🤗
Food is just okay. Service was either rushed or super slow because brunch was understaffed. Not the waitress’ fault - it’s management’s fault.
The food atmosphere and service is A1
I was SO impressed with the service and their patience. We had SUCH a large group coming and going for hours on end. I did not eat though. I just had wine.
This is a great place to hang out with friends . The food was delicious..DJ Danny Dee was awesome. The establishment was standing room only. Depending on which day of the week you go, youll be in for a treat. Get there early if you want a table. Reservations are suggested in advance.
Please ask for Vanessa as your waitress. When I stay top teir experience. She will make your energy and make sure you have a good time. Were from FL, and she differently gave the vibes. I love it it. The food was amazing 👏. The drink 🍸 were top notch. He ordered the Hot enough something, and the bartender differently did his job. My date literally asked for his name it was good and strong. Im a whiskey drink, and I know 🤪 I will be just right with this one. Again, this one is the place to go. Oh wow I cant believe I forgot the live jazz band. Again magnificent 👏 👌 ✨️
My 1st time being there, everyone enjoyed the food, but you could hardly talk to the person next to you without screaming!!!
Good Sunday brunch with a Jazz band. The chicken ans waffles are solid choice. For appetizers the fish tacos, wings and crab cakes are all good selections.
The food was amazing and so was the vibe. Remi was our waiter and he was great and patient. Thanks Remi from your new TN friends!
We had a tiiiimmme last night. Our server Naz was on point. The Asian wings were delicious and the short rib sandwich was delicious. Great atmosphere age appropriate. Meet some nice people. Their rum punch is not to be played with, tread lightly. Grown folks enjoying life. I will definitely be back.
Great staff here ! Kind , respectful and attentive. Interesting collection of patrons and regulars. Drinks are decent and the food is pretty tasty. Would definitely recommend it.
This was such interesting drink. Forgot what its called but its on the menu. The bartender did an amazing job and the food is good. Short rib sandwich is #life Highly recommend! And they pour a amazing glass of Prosecco. Saturday night bartender is on point too! Hes the reason I went twice in 2 weeks!
I am giving two stars just off the strength of this being a black owned establishment. The music is great but the service and the food is blah. We waited so long to order and when the server came over he rushed us to order. I ordered deviled eggs and fish tacos which were both blah, the fish was very bland. I had a henny punch and my boyfriend had a spiked peach which were both too sweet, not enough alcohol and the drinks came in different sizes but were the same price. I don’t like that they add an automatic gratuity to the bill and the temperature was way too cold I kept my jacket on the whole time.
Great atmosphere, a tad noisy after 7pm but it adds to the atmosphere. Tapas were outstanding, tried 6 different ones amongst us and didnt have a single one I wouldnt order again however you have GOT to try the baby artichokes and the Octopus. Had a Loopy cocktail that had beet vodka in it, what a complex drink, so many layers of flavor! Sangria is great too if thats your thing.
Nice place but a bit loud for my taste. Not to mention they dont really have vegan options. They can at least offer a Veggie Burger or something. Great drinks and the wait staff is super dope.
Too much going on. First and last time going. Ooh the music was good. I cannot comment on the food or drinks because the server never came.
Love love loved Row House. We had the deviled eggs and Shrimp and grits. The food and service was outstanding. Plus there was live jazz!
Last night, which was on a Friday, I visited The Row house, and it was fabulous 👌🏾.Let me tell you people, that DJ was lit!He played music from every reasonable decade, kept us on the floor. The food and drinks were good, strong drinks. I have every intention of returning. GO ROW !!
I would give the food 5 stars accept there wasnt enough of it. But it was very tasty. Service was excellent. Music was pumping but I was seated away from the Saturday night action, so was able to enjoy both the vibe and my food!
I have been to the Row house twice. In Sept 2021, I threw a birthday brunch for my moms 65th birthday. Cool play, I like the ambiance but the food leaves a little to be desired. Both times, I felt like there couldve been more effort made with the food. The first time I had shrimp and grits (common) it left me with the feeling that I wouldnt order it again. This time about 2 wks ago, i ordered the shrimp tacos. It wasnt bad, it just felt like there was little effort to make the dish a real appeal. The cocktail I had was delish. I believe it was called the Amelia(?) Kettle one, St. Germaine, Raspberry Puree, really tasty. I wish I couldve been as enthusiastic about the food. A little more effort, this places would really be a big standout.
Great place for music n soul food. Drinks are great and prices are on lower end so perfect for families. Not alot of seating but worth the wait of there is any
It was fun and friendly. The food and drinks were quite delicious and I went to a dance party downstairs with friends. We had a blast. Its close to the C and B on Frederick Douglass Blvd at 116th street station or the 2 and 3 on Malcolm X Blvd and 116th street station.
My 2 ⭐️ is mainly for the bottomless mimosas that are $25 but I get my bill and I’m charged $50 when I ordered 1 jar no refills they gonna tell me it was 50$ because me and my sister how you charge 25$ a glass off of one bottle please make it make sense you don’t charge 2 single glasses if I order 1 jar that’s 25$ period and this is why unfortunately my last time coming sorry play them games with someone else
Great food and service. The atmosphere is a little noisy for conversation, but great for a party or to grab a bite before going out. Definitely a young adult (20s & 30s) target audience. *We were celebrating a graduate school graduation on a Sunday night at 7pm*
Me and my guys love this spot!! Its 2 days I would highly recommend. Martini Monday after work event. Saturday day Brunch!! If you looking for a nice older crowd, good vibes, and a great atmosphere.... go to Row House!!! Thank me later.
Nice atmosphere.. staff/service could be better. Missed brunch time. Fish tacos were ok but missing something. Turkey burger was dry like a chicken breast. Margaritas and other drinks were good.
I have zero complaints. The atmosphere was great. The music was on POINT for Harlem and people who appreciate the culture. Everyone was mature and professional from the host and server to the customers. The only suggestion is to turn the music down just a notch so I dont have to yell so my friends can hear me. We were there to catch up after not seeing each other since the holidays. Other than that, 5 stars!
Overall, it was just OK. I wish we could give half star ratings, it was more of a 3.5 than a 3. The appetizers I had were better than my entree. I enjoyed the jerk shrimp taco appetizers, which were very tasty. I ordered the steak, which came with a baked potato and veggies.. I also ordered truffle fries. My steak was lacking serious flavor! It needed salt, pepper, something. ANYTHING!!. Its just very bland and tasteless. Nothing stood out from my plate. The truffle fries were soggy.. just bad. Pur waitress was polite and did her best to answer any questions we had about the menu. The drinks were strong and quite good. I would go back for apps and drinks.. skip dinner altogether.
Went there with my fiancee and a few close friends to celebrate my childhood friends bday. When the waiter finally came to take our order the drinks we wanted from t g eir menu was unavailable 😩 and the waiter didnt even suggest any alternatives so we went straight to ordering appetizers. It took forever to bring them so once they came everyone was ready for main course. We ordered our meals salmon, mashed potatoes and sautéed Spinach....sounds delicious right. Well everything was tasteless. The salmon was dry and nothing seemed to have any seasoning on it at all. Our waiter never came to check on us to see if everything was okay. He had to be flagged down. I did enjoy the music I guess that was worth the $245 bill which didnt include the tip. This place was highly recommended and I was extremely disappointed 😞 😔
Delicious food (Short Rib Mac and Cheese!!!) and the music was lovely The Sunday afternoon love jazz is classic. The sound system/ insulation made it extremely difficult to hear the people at my small table, but still an overall nice experience. AND their happy birthday song is next level. I will be going back, but not for a calm Sunday Brunch.
A great place to meet up with friends and have brunch. They have live music which was very nice but it was a bit too close to the tables so we almost couldn’t speak with each other without yelling. The staff was very nice but there seemed to be too few people so we waited a long time to have our orders taken and for it to arrive. When our food arrived, it was pretty good and we enjoyed it. Except for one friend who ordered the fancy Mac and cheese, and expected to find lobster but there wasn’t any other than flakes. She did dump the entire dish on a plate to confirm and yup, we all saw barely any lobster. A change from how they did it before. She did bring it to their attention and they did try to help but all they said was that was the way the dish came. We waited to get her dish back but it took so long and she decided not have anything and we left after paying.Aside from my friend’s fancy Mac and cheese, we all did enjoy our food and it was a nice time.My food was the steak and eggs which was really good. Especially, the sweet potatoes with bell peppers. I did enjoy that dish and might return to have it again.
Food here is good and drinks are always on point. I especially love to visit on the second Saturday of each month for their brunch event. Hostess Brittany does an amazing job. I have always recommended Row House to my family and friends and will continue to do so.
St Nicks Jazz Pub Alumni.Lady Cantrese performed a lovely evening of smooth & sultry jazz songs at PB Brasserie on 125th StreetI saw folks I havent seen in 20+ years. Dj Reggie Wells & DJ Tall Guy Wednesday evening Throw Back Dance Party.A good time was had.But hanging out on a Wednesday night is an oddity for moi. The music and vibe were cool & the gang.HARLEM ON THE RISE💰🥂
Went Saturday night for a friends bday dinner. Arrived around something to 8pm. There was a dj spinning an amazing mix of ole school hip hop & r&b. It was super loud however so if youre looking to have a heart to heart talk this probably isnt the time or place for you. Korean BBQ wings, fries & chicken potstickers were all tasty & presented nicely. The fancy mac (lobster mac) which I ordered but ended up taking to go was tasty with a good amount of lobster, but the brussel sprouts with bacon were a a downer as they were not seasoned nor roasted enough so very bland. Id go back to try their other dishes. The drinks were really good too...I had the Amelia 👌🏾So if you want a night out with good food & vibes without going to a bonafide lounge or club, its a good pick. 👍🏾 There is also a downstairs lounge dance afterparty situation the dj was doing after the set upstairs in the main dining ended ... for all you young party folks😉😅 I didnt attend but nice to know the option exists. Happy eating 😋
It was a chill Friday night. The vibes were nice. We ate at the bar and had good service from a gentleman wearing a really nice bow tie. We had the tacos, which were Okay, epanadaa, which were delicious, and the Mac and cheese trio. I only ate two of the three because I dont eat meat, but my friend wasnt crazy about the Mac altogether, whereas I liked it. Its not homemade mack made with elbows, so if thats your requirement, then dont order it, but it is hearty and flavorful if you ask me.
We had such a awesome time celebrating my coworker retirement party there yesterday. However, the female manager never asked if everything was ok. If we was alright at our table. We spent a lot of money there and professional courtesy should be at a all time level with everyone.
Not a bad place especially if you want outdoor dining there are lots of tables. We went on a Sunday evening and sat outside. Inside they had music playing and everyone seemed quite happy at the bar so it seems the drinks were strong. The service was good, the waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. The quality of the food was hit or miss honestly. The fried okra, chicken & waffles & fries were just ok, the chicken with the waffles needed a little more love. The chicken wings (appetizer), ribs mac and cheese and grilled cheese were good although portion size for wings was on the small size. Food came quickly and we did not have to wait long for the check. Overall decent experience, but it wasnt AMAZING. I might go back if I happen to be in the area.
Food was delicious, I had the salmon risotto and spinach. it was perfectly cooked, the risotto was creamy and buttery. I tried a bite of the Mac and cheese, so good! There was a DJ there who was equally as good as the food. Great atmosphere!
The entire staff was very professional and courteous. The food was excellent and the portions were plentiful. Kudos to the management. We will visit this establishment again soon. The next time were in New York.
I was invited to brunch this past weekend, and I found more negatives than positives. The positives were the company, the deviled eggs and the waffle (chicken and waffles). The jazz band was too loud for the space, making conversation very difficult. The staff came around to take our order, serve our order and present the check. We had asked for lemon for our tea, which they decided to give us after the tea was gone. The chicken that came with waffle was burnt and dry. How do you dry out the leg quarter!! I hope I am never invited again.
Actually the place is so noisy (+90db) that I think I will not come again. We couldn’t even talk. But the food, vibe and service were very good.
My family and I went after The Breast Cancer Walk a group of 14. The atmosphere was good, there was a live band and the place was packed. The young lady we had as a hostee took our very large order however some of the orders were wrong. Me myself as everyone at my table were giving their food I waited over 20 minutes to recieve my food as it wasnt even prepared.(My food should have been free or 1/2 price) There was another woman(could have been the manager) who made sure I sure my food was priority by then I was ready to leave. Personally I loved the the Mac-n-Cheese. I will not be going back. It was great that I was able to attend.
Our server was wonderful! I ordered mussels, which was ok. I went during brunch; it was an adult crowd, which I love. Im going to give them another try.
My bf and I went here for Vday. Good vibes. More lowkey than expected but it was the day after a snowstorm and on a Wednesday. He ordered the salmon with risotto. He calls a hit. I had the Quinoa bowl with chicken which was flavorful. I heard brunch on the weekends is lit... dj, dancing. I would come back for that experience.
If you’re looking for a lit party brunch definitely stop here!We came for Sunday brunch without realizing we would soon be in for more of a party scene than we anticipated. We arrived early around noon while the DJ was setting up so it was quiet. Loved the selection of oldies for my fellow Millenials but it was way too loud to carry on a conversation and my poor friend left with a headache. It would be nice if they increased the volume gradually…maybe go full blast sometime between 2-4pm lol.Pros: The people/staff, the vibe, the playlistCons: ASK ABOUT THE BRUNCH SPECIAL!! We weren’t informed and it wasn’t indicated on the menu we received but were charged full price. We only found out brunch would have included cocktails after having the manager address a different discrepancy on the bill. So we ended up paying almost double.Lobster empanadas (2), French toast, Grits (3 shrimp), 2 rum punch = $120 🤪 we win some we lose some!NGL the lobster empanadas were alright but everything was pretty basic so the value wasn’t quite there.Go for the party!!
This place has become my go to local spot. Can’t beat the happy hour prices and vibes. The white sangria is delicious. Jerk shrimp tacos are a stand out as well as the lobster Mac and cheese. Lobster empanadas were good and the crab cake was delicious. Service is usually good. Especially if you get shorty with the short hair as your waitress. She’s on it!
Gave me everything I expected.. THE WHOLE VIBE WAS FABULOUS.. THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AWESOME DEFINITELY COMING BACK..
Honestly walked in here with zero expectation only because the one restaurant I know in the area right across the street was wayyy too packed and Row House (that we randomly spotted) was almost empty. The waiter though made us feel this was meant to be. He was super friendly, accomodating, and made the best recommendations ever. He really made our night to be honest.. though their drinks & food were great too. Their appetizers though... especially the mac n cheese combo (forgot the exact name)... just wow just wow!!! 💯
This is not your grandmothers brunch. This is a loud bluesy and boozy brunch. The band was fantastic the beverages kept going and going and going......The food was served in large portions we shared several dishes at our table. Nothing stood out and nothing was awful!!!!
Great local place with really good food and a nice beer selection. It is a neighborhood bar and is predominantly black (I was the only white guy) but I felt totally comfortable. It’s a really nice place with a DJ playing current and old school music.
Its a 🙂 place with a good atmosphere The restaurant is very tight but the food looks good I never really tasted the food cuz I was working
Food and drinks were excellent. The rum punch is the best drink. The service were excellent. I will be returning next time I come back to NYC.
Great mac and cheese. Live music and good atmosphere. I would go back
Great spot for bottomless brunch. You literally get the best bang for your buck here. Unlimited pitchers to yourself for a whole hour and half. The Mimosas and Bellinis are definitely made champagne heavy, with just a hint of juice. The steak and eggs entrees were delicious and perfect to soak up all that champagne. Definitely will be back for bottomless and to explore the menu.
Ive done brunch here several times. My reservations were available as soon as I walked in the door, so I appreciate not having to wait. The first time, it was the jazz brunch, so it was laid back, and the food was good. The second time was yesterday, and there was a DJ, so the atmosphere was lively, and it was a great time. The food was great, and the bottomless drink options were flowing. Our server, Douglass, was so attentive and on top of everything. Our glasses were never empty, so the bottomless brunch was worth the money. I will def be back!
I went to Row House for a birthday brunch. The food was good, the atmosphere and music were a vibe, and the service was awesome! Our waitress Awa was amazing, patience, friendly, and kind. Dame who assisted my party was also very nice. I would go back to Row House for a good time and good food.
Went on a Saturday evening for dinner.Cool music. Nice space. Rose sangria was yummy. Jalapeño bourbon drink was too spicy. Lobster mac and meatballs as appetizers were yummy. Chicken breast entree was delicious. Dessert was disappointing.
DJ Danny Dee is awsome I had burnt ribs, my wife had DEVILED EGGS and crab cakes was horrible I refused to eat and refused to pay. They didnt ask if we would like to try something else
I’ve had two dining experiences at Row House in the last year.My first was awesome - I went to RH for an early brunch and was seated quickly. The service was great and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles which, in my opinion, are some of the best in Harlem.I returned a month or so later for dinner and had a very different experience. Although I was seated quickly, the service was slow with the bill taking a significant amount of time to arrive. The food wasn’t anything special, with my salmon coming out very fishy. In my opinion, the quality of the food didn’t reflect the prices being charged. All in all, I would highly recommend Row House for brunch, but would give it a pass for dinner.
Was there on 7/10/22. We were a party of 14. Drinks were ordered along with entrees and appetizers. It took 40 minutes for drinks over an hour for appetizers and additional 45 minutes for the entrees. The appetizers and the entrees was just ok. One issue was the kitchen, a steak was ordered , sent back twice it was overcooked, eggs were either under cooked or over cooked and everyone complained the food was barely warm. My final issue, the staff was nice but not attentive to the table at all, it took someone to grab any waiter to get water and ice to the table. Customer Service C-, Drinks A, Food B-
We went on September 15th to celebrate my friends birthday! We went for brunch. The vibe, food and music was on point!I loved it so much, I’ll be going back tomorrow evening for another friends birthday….at night on a Friday I know it’s going to be a TIME!
Great space! Well managed venue. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. I enjoyed my time there! Food was solid. Those potato bites are a hit.
Sometimes the food is hit or miss... But the vibe is always top tier! Its always a party!Plus there is a dude there that dances for hours... He gives you permission to get out your seat and do the same. Its an experience you wont soon forget.
I went on a busy Sunday with a friend of mine. The decor is really nice. The service is great - no matter which employee we spoke with in the restaurant we didnt get any hint of bad attitude or bad day having by anyone. The food was delicious. My friend and I both ordered the chicken pot pie (what can I say, we both wanted something on the comfort side). It was creamy and filling on the inside and flaky like a croissant on the outside. For drinks, I had a dark and stormy while my friend had a sangria. My friend wasnt too sure about having a sangria with brandy, so the gave her a sample of it in a shot glass. Ive never known a restaurant doing that. That was really nice.
Loved the place!! Simply, their food was incredibly delicious and would def go back. YOU MUST ORDER THE CLASSIC MAC AND CHEESE. this plate is a must to start with. I dont care if you are going for brunch, lunch, dinner mac & cheese has to be the first plate your order. Their cocktails were amazing as well. I got mango frozen daiquiri which was awesome and my brother got something with gin passionfruit and champagne. Interesting right? Tasted awesome I promise. I order the burger, because i love burger, and my brother got stake and eggs. Overall great food to be honest and would definitely go back again.PS. Be a little passion with servers, they might take a little longer than expected to get to you.Hope you enjoy the food because i did!
Row House is nice. Very nice atmosphere, the staff is attentive and friendly, nice decor. The food is alright. Not great but alright. As it was in the brunch hours I had to order off the brunch menu, which was basic. I had the short ribs with a side of spinach. The ribs were a little tough, the spinach a little salty. I also had the Miami Vice drink which is a Strawberry Pina colada with rum. I didnt taste the Strawberry or the rum but it came in very cute Mason jar mug.
Love love love rowhouse we come here every Sunday after walking central park! The food is delicious and the rum punch is to die for
Absolutely an amazing Place to Enjoy a Lovely Evening of Socializing and Dancing. Food is Good and A Grown Folks atmosphere for Parties. Its my go to place for an amazing Evening.
The vibe was wonderful and so lively! Unfortunately, the food did leave a lot to be desired. I had the Eggs Benedict and my friend had the Chicken & Waffles and we were both underwhelmed. The Lobster Empanadas were delicious! Will definitely be returning.
The food was good and with a nice presentation. The service was also good but the music was way too loud for a brunch. I could barely hear my thoughts and we weren’t even close to the speakers.
I was craving shrimp and grits and this placed delivered. I thought the flavor was great. The service was also great. I will say that for the first time ever, I finished my meal and was still hungry afterward. The portion for my dish was small. I ended up ordering the sesame wings after...also delicious. I loved the ambience and live music. I will be back for another brunch.
Food was good and nicely presented. Nice decor. Good spacing between tables. The Maryland Lump Crabcake was disappointing. Did not appear to be Lump crabmeat and was spiced to the point you could not taste the crab. The waiters were quite pleasant, but we had to ask for syrup after the waffles arrived and ask for cream after the coffee came - both took longer to be brought than they should have. I would come back again, though. Overall it was a good experience.
Food is good, sunday brunch is full of people. Good music, a laid back feel good place.
We went on a Saturday a few months ago and it was fantastic. The ambience was great and we shared a bunch of dishes which were superb. The specialty drinks were unique but I found them very good. We also loved the dessert. You cannot go wrong with this place. The staff was also wonderful. The only item which was average was the mushroom appetizer but everything else was great.
The food here was very good. It was tough making a decision. I enjoyed everything. The greeters couldve been a bit more inviting. They eventually warmed up. The ambiance is warm and so was the temperature. I thought I was going to start sweating while eating. Overall, this is a good place to eat and Ill visit here again.
Go to spot !!
Excited to come but more excited to leave. We arrived at 3 ordered at 3 20. We were already warned theres a 15-20 minute wait in the kitchen. However, we watch the restaurant rush die down, watched the people around us leave as we ate our appetizers arou d 345. We watched them set up a table for about 10 get set up. Its 5pm and we notice their food came out before ours l, appetizers included. We asked for the manager, young man in a blazer glasses and jeans with the pride pin. We explained out frustration for this man to look us in the face and say they were there since 1 30, and our food is next. We said we ordered well before they sat down, 2 hour wait for our meals is unacceptable. He tells us our food is next 3 times. We asked what are you comping and this man said drinks. Not one apology not any accountability. He claimed he took their orders already because half the party wasnt here..the food is good but you cant enjoy it.becsuse wour party of four compared to other a of 5 or more were eating first. The young king with the glasses and hat was more helpful than anyone else on the staffing . Ruined our fathers say experience.
Service waa extremely slow. Its a small spot, however the live band and the voices from other patrons makes it extremely hard to hear. The food was just okay for me. Most of my party ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was fried too hard and the waffles were cold. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and only received two shrimp.
My girlfriend and I were really looking forward to eating here when we saw it was opening. Our first day, we were not disappointed at all, the food was amazing and plentiful. I decided the first day we went to book reservations for valentines day because of how satisfied we were. Im taking off a star however, for the experience we got on Valentines day. We were given a preset 50$ a person menu, and the food was delicious but not plentiful. The appetizers were 2 bites each, the main course was not even a full meal really. We waited a good hour for our food, and left hungry because of how little was served. Had we ordered off the preset menu however, we would have left happy customers. The atmosphere and staff is fabulous, the food is delicious, just dont take them up on any holiday preset menu offers and youll be happy you came here.
Chicken and waffles was excellent! Light and crispy. Atmosphere is great, waitstaff are very friendly, enjoyed interacting with our toddler. The brunch rush came halfway through our meal and so we had to wait a little while to get the check, but otherwise all was great.
Great!
Great brunch spot welcoming patrons from all walks of life with good vibes and food.
60 degrees in Harlem and everyone goes out. The DJ was inside and he was playing all the hits from Duran Duran to Phil Collin’s to Biggie. Great food , staff took care of us. Just a vibe… be back soon
The music and vibes was on point. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. I would visit this spot again. Only con I saw is its small at least the floor I was on and gets packed! But is that a con when you looking for a vibe?
Great atmosphere went to a birthday retirement celebration and food looked appetizing. The only downside was crab cake was a medium one with a plate full of salad. Not for price you are charging, crazy.
I wish I had the ability to give them a ZERO Where do I begin? It was HOT, HOT, HOT we are in the month of July and there was no air conditioner in the establishment. The atmosphere is cozy the service was great however theres no air conditioning. Staff claim it was on and it makes the room comfortable but there was no comfortability in there. we were sitting inside fanning. we even asked the manager she said nothing. even the serviceer were fannng themselves. This is a no go for me. As a Harlem Navie I love good eats it was raining outside I thought it will be cooler to sit inside due to the rain but they fooled me. Overall the food and drinks were amazing. I had the southern peach drink and a turkey burger. I was getting overheated I have asthma. I decided to leave and take the remaining of my food to go. I needed to go home & relax under cool air and enjoy the food. I would return if its cooler or even if they have a fan.
I have been to Row House on 4 other occasions. Today was my first time being there for dinner service. Today was my last time being there for dinner service. My experience was a complete and other disaster. I went with a friend and we were casually dressed. Maybe a little too casual because we were sat so far in the back by the bathroom that I asked if we could sit elsewhere. I was told that we could not because all of the other seats were reserved. Ironically some of the reserved seats were empty when I left having never been occupied during my time there. I guess the hostess did not think we were dressed for public viewing. my female friend was wearing a head wrap and mentioned that perhaps the head wrap made her look too casual. Ironically, the party later seated at the table adjacent to us -- also had a woman wearing a head wrap. That confirmed it for me that the hostess preferred the longer haired patrons. It took over 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. it took another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The orders arrived incorrect and undercooked. I spoke to the waitress, Belle, who was a great server. she explained that they were backed up in the kitchen because of a shift change and because it was busy. I looked around the restaurant and counted at least 8 vacant tables. I mentioned to her the inaccuracies in the order and showed her the undercooked salmon that I ordered. She made all of the appropriate apologies and subtracted one of the entrees from the check. However, I do not think I will be back. I sum it up simply as too much time wasted; too much money spent and not enough food eaten or enjoyed. My brunch experiences have been amazing but I think the extremely poor dinner service has kind of ruined it for me, overall!
THIS IS A LIVE YELP REVIEW. I AM ACTUALLY STILL AT THE RESTAURANT.The first brunch of 2016 and I ordered a very simple steak and eggs... however my potatoes were cold, the steak was the smallest piece of meat Ive ever seen, and I had to ASK for salt & pepper. I definitely recommend not sitting at the bar for food. Bartenders arent waiters and at this place they dont seem to care about you unless you raise your hand... like school. Im sure this place has the potential to be great but not on this day.My friends ordered coffee 45 minutes ago.... its still brewing apparently and also only one cup can be made at a time. The coffee has come now with no spoons to mix. And also in teacups. At the end though the food at least taste good.
The vibe, the management (love me some Jazz!), the culture, the themed nights, the food AND the dranks? I barely go anywhere else!
Place was a vibe. I enjoyed it. Suggestion remove some tables for dancing space. Enjoyed watching the dancer maybe get another dancer so they can do dance battles also.
Pro: Location and food. Con: service.Came for dinner with my bestie and we loved the decor on walking in. We were sat at our table and waited literally, 10 minutes before our server came over. Super nice! However after placing our drink order, it took 20 minutes before we got our drinks! Mind you it wasnt even that full! Either way drinks were great, food was great and this wouldve been a perfect dinner if not for the excessive waiting. Hoping that the service issues were a one-off.
Excellent service and great atmosphere. They let you have fun and dance to the DJ music. Definitely going again.
The ambiance is nice, the kitchen is open til 1:00 AM (on Fridays at least), and theres a decent variety of drinks; but the service sucked. It wasnt even busy, yet in the two hours we spent there neither of the bartenders ever acknowledged us without our prompting them. Id love to see some better service here because the place seems promising otherwise.
Very nice atmosphere. Staff were very friendly through the night. Would have liked a little more attention from the waiter. The fried cod from the fish and chips were mediocre. Cooked well but taste was mediocre. The fries were bomb. Dessert was very delicious - red velvet ice cream sandwich! Overall very good experience!
Amazing food. Great service. Vibe check...official. Come here and come often!
Food was great, though a tad pricey (I got a drink though, but still it was a bit more than expected). Atmosphere at the time (Friday evening) was VERY loud. Dont go at this time if you want a quiet dinner, but its great if you want to be loud, of course. Service was good. Bathroom clean. No significant complaints.
What is the point of having a reservation if it is not going to be honored. The food, meh. I go for the people and the music/dj for special themed brunch events. The people and the music are a vibe, but the food leaves much to be desired. Solid drinks though. That is what makes it enjoyable. Vibe on/Vibe Strong - Go get your groove on.
I got the mac and cheese with braised short rib and was pretty disappointed. The flavor profile was bland with an odd after taste. Additionally, even the aroma wasnt pleasing but, rather off putting. Usually, when food is decent, I can push through and eat it but, I couldnt with this dish. I didnt even want the leftovers. Finally, the service was extremely poor. One of my worst service experiences for sure. On several occasions, we would flag down our waiter to take our drink order however, he would never come. Im not sure what was going on but, the hostess had to refill our waters and stand next to our table to make sure the waiter returned. The bathrooms were filthy with water (I hope) covering the floors and toilet paper strewn all over the place. I wont be returning nor would I recommend this place. The esthetics of the restaurant is nice and I had high hopes based on this fact alone but, they need to make some major changes.
Beautiful Vibes, Beautiful people and great food!! The DJ~AWESOME!!!
Second time visiting. Food is a bit salty and the atmosphere is a bit noisy. Otherwise good.
I celebrated my birthday at Row House. I had a very large party (17). Remy was our waiter. The food and service were excellent. Its not easy to please 17 discerning women. However, every single one of us enjoyed our food. This was on a Saturday and the DJ was excellent, and shouted me out several times for my birthday. I believe his name was DJ Korrek. One of the owners, Arley, consistently checked on my party and made sure that the champagne was flowing and that our glasses were always filled. There was also an on-site photographer, Charles, who captured the moment. He gave me a group print for my birthday and we purchased several additional prints. We had such a great time that we returned for a another girlfriends birthday this past weekend. It was a repeat of the original. Great food, music, friends and vibes. Always!
Nice place and nice environment. When I went I started at the bar. Every drink order received after mine the bartender made before mine. It took over a half hour to:1. Get my check2. Pay3. Get back my credit cardThe place wasnt even that busy. I was just being constantly ignored. If I were to go back, I wouldnt sit by the bar.
Made Brunch reservations for 14. We all had an amazing time. The DJ played all the right tunes to stir up the crowd. It was a vibe. The Atmosphere was lively. Make sure to wear your dancing shoes, and be prepared to sing 🎶 along cause the rhythm is contagious. The servers will make sure that every empty glass gets a refill. I had the rum punch 👊🏽. I ordered the fish tacos the salsa had way too much jalapeños,which would have been fine if they added some kind of sauce and/or guacamole. Overall it was a great experience.
Very nice ambiance. Crabcake Benedict is good, as is their grilled cheese! Chicken (& waffles) could definitely use more flavor. Sangria has no kick but tasty. Staff is great.
I loved everything about this establishment. The service was top tier, the food was the bomb, and the atmosphere was so chill and relaxing. We were seated very quickly as well.
Went here for drinks. Thumbs up to Roy! Great Bartender!
Great food, ambiance and service!
Very busy place but great vibes and pleasant service makes up for the wait time. Now, trust me when I tell you! You need the red velvet cake topped with vanilla Haagen daz. It was so good I wanted another round but I was too full from my shrimp & grits.
Had truffle grill cheese no bacon, fries... couldve been better well done... but good, & the Mexican corn... so good. Had a Bourbon, Honey, Ginger drink... Gold Rush. All delish. Server, Greeter & manager.... Great service. Then we headed downstairs to get a few dances in... ;)
Got to Row House at about 5:30PM on a Saturday. Ive seen the place but never stopped in. I had some friends in town so I wanted to have a sit down dinner. The place was fairly empty besides the bar.We sat to the far back right corner of the restaurant and ordered. Started talk and laughing then 30 minutes later the waiter comes up to tell us that the salmon that one of my friends ordered is no longer available. So he opts for another type of fish.As we continue to talk and impatiently wait the time continues to pass. My order and another friends order came out but 2 people were still missing meals. As I continued to wait my friend next to me grew impatient and finally at 6:35PM he received his burger. The food was good and the ambiance was nice but we felt like forgotten children. Unfortunately I can not recommend Row House based on our experience tonight.
Truly a great spot!! Hits all the boxes, fantastic service, delicious and fresh food spacious ambiance and local!...We enjoyed the crab cakes and scallops so much, we ordered them twice. Portions are perfect for sharing ( even appetizers) and food is made to order!! Cant reccomend enough....come eat & enjoy!
Went for brunch. There was a DJ (90s/2000s/& Today Rnb, Rap, Soca, Dancehall). Lively atmosphere. Nice & comfortable decor. Shrimp and grits were good but the portions were small and the dish came with 3 small shrimp. Service was not bad or exceptional, had to repeat some requests to waitress. No Bottomless drinks if entire party isnt drinking (some of group is sober so they didnt drink so the Bottomless drinks didnt apply).
My wife and I had no idea about this place, we stopped in on our way to Mintons for a pre-show drink and bite to eat. Holy heck! What a party we walked into! Saturday at 4pm and it was pumping, plus great soul food (even for sad vegetarians like us) and service. There was a birthday going on which added to the atmosphere, but Im guessing this place always goes off. Thank you from a couple of bewildered then overjoyed Kiwis for a memorable night.
We’ve been coming to Row House since the week they opened. Every year my husband requests it for his birthday dinner. This time we noticed something off as soon as we walked in the door. On a Friday night at 6:00 the place, which normally has a lively happy hour crowd, was practically empty. We ordered several of our favorite dishes and the food was AWFUL, horribly soggy fried okra, sangria that tasted like straight cranberry juice, Mac n cheese the texture of overcooked rice cereaI. I asked our server if some of the recipes had changed and she mentioned they had a new chef. Our server spent almost the entire two hour dinner chatting with other servers at the bar with her back to us. Again, since the restaurant was so empty most of the servers were just standing around. The busser was the only person doing any work since we couldn’t get the attention of our server he was the one to replenish our silverware, water, etc. Our server didn’t even offer to show a dessert menu and they knew this was for a birthday dinner! When we left at 8pm it was even more empty than when we arrived. It’s too bad because it used to be one of our favorite spots but they’ve permanently lost our business.
So glad I finally paid Row House a visit—they lived up to the reputation! Happy hour drinks & bits followed by dinner. We were seated quickly...great booth spot for ppl watching. The raw oyster selections are great. Short ribs dinner was ahhhhmazingggggg. I highly recommend it. Service was great and our server super attentive, but not overly so. There was a steady stream of patrons picking up take out. There is a friendly happy vibe at Row House and i loved this Multigenerational— Multiracial serving the entire community from the casual to after work to Harlem Dandy. Happy hour times vary...check before you go BUT GO.
Yesterday I went for brunch with some friends. Its usually my go to spot for affordable brunch, good food and a nice atmosphere. Today I want to write a review for their above and beyond service. I left my phone and didnt realize it. I walk to the bus stop and Im inserting my metro card when I get a tap from behind, someone from the restaurant had my phone in hand! I was so grateful for their quick action and thinking. They even had called my Mom through my phone to let her know I left my phone.
Great ambiance! Drink wasn’t the best but I had a great time!! Waiter was very nice and the Dj was decent.
Been here a few times. Got the Salmon this time and while it didnt look like it was going to taste that great, it ended up being super legit. Nice vibe. Good drinks. I recommend Row House for sure.
10/10 the vibes, the food, the DJ, the server Vanessa....highly recommend and I will certainly be returning!!
The hours listed on google are incorrect. We got there at around 10:30 PM and the server told us that the restaurant was going to close at midnight when we expected it to close at 2 AM. Our server was horrible. He was talking to the bartender most of the time and my friend had to go tell him what we wanted to order. He did not bother apologizing. Our drinks (Youre So Vain) tasted like plain champagne. I heard this spot serves good brunch so I might give it another chance, but I was extremely disappointed.
Ive dined upstairs at this venue and danced downstairs in the basement! The basement area is the perfect setting for gathering and events! The decor is inviting and lounge-like with dim lighting and an open dance floor space. The food was also excellent! Everyone in my party enjoyed!
The food is pretty freaking delicious here and the service is always great too. I love the menu selection, everything here is full with flavors and their prices is affordable.
Wanted to try this restaurant because it was recommended. With the exception of the Waiter, the Host/Hostess could do with some customer service and people greeting skills. They werent rude, they forgot to make the customer feel welcomed and appreciated upon leaving. Music selections were good, just too loud to have a conversation or communicate with the Waiter. I had the Truffle Fries and could have just been called Fries. Truffles are a specialty and this was not. Just thought Id be honest and hope that the restaurant is successful.
I enjoyed the beautiful place and I felt safe there. I was not able to eat. I was there for a birthday party for a short period of timeI will go back for the food soon
Was there for my sisters 70th. Initially while waiting we assembled at the bar. The bartender though quite attentive to others at the bar Never ever asked me if i wanted anything i sat at the bar 1 hour waiting on all the family. Once seated All was quite well.food was great. We had the brunch pre- fixe menu i had the steak and eggs...DELISHOVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT
This dining experience was not planned and we selected this restaurant because my wife had come into Harlem for work and we walked by it and saw the beautiful indoor layout. We absolutely do not regret checking this place out! Management and staff are great. We were greeted by very friendly host staff and then waited on by Sean/Shawn and then followed up by Shay, the manager. Customer service as magnificent, and I do not say this lightly. On to the food, which was great! Being a tapas restaurant, we ordered a few smaller dishes, which were the parmesan dumplings, crab cakes, and shrimp and grits. All the above dishes were fantastic and I had no qualms other than not having a large enough appetite to try other items on the menu. No dessert this time, but will definitely order some next time we go back, which we will when we are in NYC again! As a bonus to all this great food, they had my favorite beer there, which is hard to find, Hoffbrau. A gentleman bussing the tables, also friendly, recommended trying the Allabash beer, which I will do next time also.
The servers took a hour then the food was horrible i had a steak with mash potatoes and the steak was like biting into a lemon. I enjoyed their drinks but it was definetly not worth the money at all! My server was amazing tho and the ribs are great only if their well done !
Their menu selection is limited, but Ive been here 4 times and have tried nearly everything and cant complain about the taste - everything has been delicious! That said, their pricing is a little high, and the service could definitely be improved. Overall, a great restaurant to check out in the neighborhood.
I love their food, exquisite taste, good price.
This place is pretty good. People really like the food. I just had drinks for happy hour here and it was great. $5 happy starting at 4 and ending 7. The bartender was cool and the place as a really good vide.
Great place to go if your with a large group of friends and you want to hear good music. The downstairs usually is empty and they have a DJ Friday and Saturday so if its 10+ of yall its like your own private party 🥳.
Had a good time, the beer was nice and cold.
I enjoyed the burger and fries. If a place can do a really good burger and fries , I will try other things on the menu. I will. The drink was good, too. It was a little too crowded for me, but obviously, it was a good night for the establishment.
Food was great! Met a couple friends here for drinks and laughs. Staff was friendly. Love the frozen drinks. I was quite tipsy after a few of them. Will be going back.
We went in Friday night, the music was good, staff very nice and the food was good. I liked the food was not greasy and cheap.I will be back for sure.
Vibe was ok with a few exceptions... they need better air conditioning, very hot ...many of us were fanning ourselves with napkins , music was too loud, tables were on top of each other , so were the people... However our people were having fun and looked Blacktastic doing it....
Great local place for drinks at night. Its also good for dinner between with friends (than usually get loud) but i would definitely not recommend for an intimate date.Tip: the lounge in the basement is AWESOME for partying!
The place is nice and food was good but it took forever to get our food. It’s a Saturday night so I get it but there were only two waiters servicing 10 tables and it’s super busy at the bar. I went here because last time the service was great. This time not so much. It was ok. Our waiter could tell I was getting annoyed because it took 45 minutes to get our food. I even saw people sit and then leave because of what I assume was long service. Hopefully it’s not like this all the time. 2 stars.
Staff excellent but food ok, coffee and waffles were cold. Chicken was good. Beautiful decor. Will try other places before going back just in case this was an off day for the chef.
Horrible costumer experience, I have not seen such a bad service for a long time. We had a reservation, but were not seated until 45 minutes after the time we booked, even though around 10 tables WERE EMPTY 5 minutes after our arrival. They kept saying us that we had to wait to be seated until the tables were set up. 5-10 minutes converted into 45 minutes. How is this possible?? 45 minutes to set up some tables!!! Even though the food was good, I cannot value positively this restaurant until thry change the service to costumers. I hope this criticism helps to improve this restaurant.
Great atmosphere 👌Yummy Asian Wings.
GREAT GREAT GREAT you guys will enjoy this place GARRENTED.
Food was okay and it was definitely overpriced. The music was so loud I had to practically yell to hear my friend.
My family and I sat in this restaurant for 2 hours just to get appetizers and another 30 minutes for our actual food. (The youngest at our table was 13, they had to wait the longest for their food )
Horrible Reception on Arrival. Yesterday August 28th (@ 6pm) my wife and I arrived at Row House for dinner only to be met by a receptionist with practically a scowl on his face and who did not even offer the slightest of greetings or welcome. He showed us to our table again without uttering a word; placed the menus on the table and left. My wife and I were thankfully greeted and served by a waitress who was so pleasant and friendly we decided to stay. Upon leaving we both agreed that it is highly unlikely we will return. The owners should remember the wise statement that you never get a second chance to make a good first impression. In this respect Row House failed miserably.
Fancy Mac lobster, truffle, and oh so good. The ribs as an appetizer we mouth watering, a bit tough, but loved anyway. The Harlem cocktail will kill you. It goes down soon easy, but packs a punch.
Food was great.. Service a little slow.
We went for Saturday brunch and they were very friendly and fast. The omelette is ok and came with coffee, the potato fries are really good. They have a DJ so the noise was a bit high
Unfortunately my bag was stolen from this establishment. I called 3 times until I finally drove from Long Island to inquire about it.The manager act like I was bothering him. Very unprofessinal staff.
Literally live right next door.. It really is a shame that the bread they brought out to start was BURNT, the drinks are terrible and lack in flavor. Our whole meal was terrible. They brought out red velvet ice cream sandwiches to make up for the experience, which were bland as well. We ended up giving our leftovers to a homeless individual. Maybe it was opening week kinks.. However being in the industry myself I am very disappointed. Save your time and money.
Really well prepared food. The asparagus was cooked to perfection! And the salad looks so pretty I didnt want to eat it! The steak was cooked so well and tender! Perfect meal!
Great experience 👍...I would come visit again.
Wednesday night it was my first time there. I enjoyed myself the Row House is going to be my hangout spot on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday night & some Sunday Brunch.
It was a really crowded weekend. But they were so loving to my aunt for her birthday. The food was good Im so with the live music. Unfortunately it was little hard for conversation because it was so loud & crowded.
Went there for appetizers and drinks. I had the delicious Potstickers and a glass of the house Saugvigon Blanc which was also delicious. The wait staff was good and the place itself is attractive and charming..
Amazing Mac and cheese. Live music was unreal. It was hard to leave. Very Harlem
Good tastes all around
Just go, your gonna love it. Catch the live music on select nights and be sure to grab the password for the Under Bar, yes I said it, the Under Bar. If you havent figured it out by now there is a secret bar near, good luck on locating it. :-) If you ask someone in the restaurant, it will not be easy. Enjoy this amazing new hip location that has Harlem thriving with unlimited amounts of energy every night.
Update: in the year since, Rowhouse has somewhat deteriorated. It was largely empty on a Friday night when every other venue in Central Harlem was packed and spilling. Even then the food took very long to come, and was nothing memorable. The pork chop, an expensive dish, was tasteless. The Farfelle was bitter with dry grilled chicken strips. Unless they up their game, the market is gonna speak and soon...(2018) Rowhouse is a great brunch place. I love their beet brined deviled eggs which are as pretty as they are yummy. Of their usual brunch fare we checked out the omelets and the benedicts. Will surely return for the rest, especially the chicken +waffles. Service was prompt and courteous.
This was my 1st time as a visitor to this restaurant. The overall experience was wonderful for brunch. Warmly greeted by the wait staff at the door. The place nicely arranged. Food was served hot and delicious. Compliments to our server and chef. Baththroom clean for most part but could use the added touch of air freshners. Music was nice touch however a little too loud for time of day. It started out at a nice noise level but got too loud, So much so that we couldnt hear each other when we where talking felt like we was competing with the loud music like in the club. Be mindful unless youre drinking or ordering food theres seemingly a 2hr sitting at table time limit. Overall I would recommend for the experience.
This was a fabulous place to connect and meet like-minded individuals during my visit in Harlem! The craft drinks were amazing, food was good and service was spot on! I visited this location twice while in NY and both times I walked away with new friends. My favorite drink was BEE FASHIONABLE, sort of a play on an Old Fashioned...mighty good and mighty strong!
The food here is really good- well seasoned, great portions sizes, good prices. The drinks are also great. Cool vibe- especially during brunch. Would recommend.
The decor and vibe with the live band was nice. On the downside, the band was too loud causing us to have to almost yell to talk to each other. My other disappointment was the service being subpar.
