As one of many Italian restaurants in the city this one has a few sprinkled throughout various locations. Some of the dishes use fresh pasta. We arrived early and had no problem getting a table. Salads and dishes were as expected
Yummyyyyyyy will be back. Loved it. They were so nice. We didnt have a reservation since we flew in today but they got us a table.
Serafina delivered an exceptional dining experience. The Penne Arrabiata was a standout, with perfectly cooked pasta and an authentic, flavourful sauce. The entire meal was a testament to the restaurants commitment to quality and authenticity. Were already looking forward to our next visit!
Amazing wait staff, food was top notch! The Manhattan cocktail was done perfectly!

Wonderful dinner! Great food and service. We each ordered a pasta dish. All were fantastic! Thank you
EXCELLENT SERVICE ! HORRIBLE FOOD!TOO SALTY, THE PASTA WAS COLD! THE BREAD ITS SO HARD LOOKS LIKE ITS FROM MONTHS, THE DRINK HAD NOT FLAVOR AT ALL.
Excellent service and the Food was amazing, I had the Spaghetti Carbonara delicious and the place had such a warm atmosphere!! Will be returning.
We were in this wonderful Restaurant last week . The service was excellent and the food amazing. We had brusquettas for app and i recomend it 100%.Its very economic and the place its so quiet and beautiful.Thank you .
Such a lovely corner restaurant with sublime food (see the REAL Gnocci in my picture!) and polite, quick service. Although it was candlelit some lovely young families were enjoying the experience. Highly recommend. (We are visiting from Australia)
Had lunch outside along Broadway. Tried the bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and the fried artichokes with mozzarella. Also got a basket of freshly made focaccia bread and olive oil. A delicious, yet simple lunch. The wait staff were personable and attentive. A pleasant afternoon. Look forward to coming back.
We just had a birthday party and had an amazing time. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and our party was the best. Dimitri was a pro in helping us plan this---from lighting, to menu. To the music. The wait staff bent over backward getting us what we needed. If you want a party in a private, elegant room, with people who care, and great food, come here!
This is a great find that’s super close to our hotel and only just coming here 2 days before we leave for back home.Really really great pasta. The best I’ve had so far during my trip to NY. I got penne alla vodka (creamy) which was full of flavour, al dente pasta, and a good sized ported. My brother got the spaghetti pomodoro which he really enjoyed. My dad got the pollo parmigiana which was massive! Really huge pieces of chicken that also tasted delicious.I would advise you make a reservation as it is very busy. Service was really good. Only thing was no one came to the table with Parmesan for our pasta so we did have to get a waiters attention before we could start eating. In the uk Parmesan is always brought out to the table but I’m unsure if that’s a thing here in NYC.I would say soda was more expensive for a really tiny bottle compared to other places we’ve eaten.Pasta prices ranged from 23-30 dollars so compared to UK it’s extremely expensive but it’s decent prices for NYC and it’s one of the best places we’ve been too so for us this was absolutely worth the money. Will definitely be back before we leave.
Delicious! Highly recommend reserve ahead of time through Open Table, its a must when in NY
Great food and server! The margarita pizza and ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. Rude hostess ruined the experience. We visited on November 30. We waited 10 minutes to be seated because the hostess was having a conversation with someone. The hostess sat us at an uncomfortable table and scowled at us when they walked by. Love the restaurant and everything else but would never visit this location again due to the rudeness.
Nice italian restaurant. We had one of the best chicken parmigiana Ive tasted. The Raviolis Porcini were excellent also. My partner said that the Risoto Porcini was also very good. I liked the ambiance, and the service is super. I would love to go back.5* excellent4* very good3* good but not consistently2* Its not worth it1* Dont even think about it
Visiting from Australia. Rocked up on a busy Saturday night with no reservation, staff were able to find us a bar spot for two. Yummy cocktails, the wait staff are awesome. Meals were absolutely phenomenal. One of the highlight from our US trip. Owner was so accommodating and Welcoming ❤️
Really cool atmosphere, great Roman style pizza and handmade pasta! Calamari was delicious with a spicy tomato sauce, must try! I loved my chicken and porcine Mushroom pasta. My partner had an anchovy pizza which reminded him of pizza in Rome. Quick drink service definitely set the mode for the evening of a great dinner!
Very nice, intimate atmosphere. Waiter was very nice as well and didnt rush us at all like at some other restaurants. Most importantly the food is amazing. You definitely wont regret eating here.
Beautiful breakfast spot attached to the Hyatt Dream Hotel in midtown. The breakfast menu is limited, but each item is prepared excellently and mindful of the overall presentation. We will be back.
Family-friendly and calm atmosphere. Polite and helpful waiters. Fair prices.
Nice Italian restaurant for new york , cozy atmosphere, since Im Italian I have to point out the fact that they claim their pasta is al dente while it is almost overcooked. Pizza was ok. bruschette were amazing
The food was delicious. Every dish was nicely presented fresh and flavorful. The waiters were friendly and accommodating. Dont forget to finish it off with a delightful piece of desert.
Great service and classy atmosphere. The highlight of our meal was easily the ravioli. They had quick a few selections and we picked the vegetarian mushroom based one. Great Melody of flavors without any single one blasting out the others, as garlic often does, with perfect chew on the wrapping. We considered just ordering more raviolis to round off our meal!Salmon and bass were both well cooked. The bass, in the onion and potato wrap had a nice sweetness to it.Definitely hope to visit again.
If you’re on Broadway and looking for Italian food and al fresco dining, this is your spot. The lobster ravioli was incredible and the spicy vodka sauce with penne was also tasty. The bruschetta lacked flavor complexity, but wasn’t bad. If you’re searching for dessert, the pistachio torte was great. The menu says it’s served with whipped ricotta and it came with vanilla ice cream, so that was a little disappointing, but it was still great.Overall, not the best Italian food in the city but certainly not the worst. It’s worth a visit if you’re nearby.
Lovely food. The service was very friendly. However a little spoiled because I got charged $15 more for our wine, cos they gave me a different bottle than I ordered. Then an automatic 18% gratuity, then asked for a tip on top. I left disappointed then. Shame. Apart from that, lovely.
I walked in after closing @10:15 pm bc a man was following me for 2 blocks. They were extremely helpful and made sure he was gone and I was safe to leave. They walked around the perimeter, and help me leave through a different exit. I am extremely grateful for the entire staff for keeping me safe.
Delicious food and fun atmosphere for a friends birthday dinner. We tried the truffle pizza and some pasta dishes and everything was great. The service was slow to refill drinks and bring the check. But other than that would recommend.
Wow!! We decided to eat here on Friday 8/19/22 because it was located right next-door to the book of Mormon Broadway show we were seeing. What we weren’t expecting was the best steak we’ve ever had! The sangria was delicious with fresh fruit inside. We started with the tomato mozzarella avocado appetizer which was also delicious. My daughter and I both ordered the filet mignon which came with grilled vegetables and these delicious potatoes. I order my steak medium well and it’s usually extremely dry everywhere I go and here it was the juiciest steak I’ve ever gotten. For dessert we had tiramisu which was so good but the absolute best was the seven layer chocolate and Nutella cake. Overall it was an amazing experience. The server and all the other staff did a great job of clearing our dishes very quickly. The only downside is the restrooms you have to take an elevator to the second floor. But otherwise it’s an A+ all around!
Truly disappointing service here. Ignored for our entire evening. Managed to get the waiters attention when we put on our coats. Main was served before starter plates had been cleared and food had obviously been standing a while before it was brought to us.
We went in for dinner, we didn’t have a reservation but we’re seated in five minutes of arrival. We ordered pizza and salad and both came out very fast. The water was refilled timely. The food was fresh and quality is good. Nothing too fancy but a dependable restaurant to eat at. Overall we had a pleasant experience at this restaurant.
I ate breakfast here twice when I was staying at the hotel. Both times the service was great, the server was friendly and attentive. The salmon benedict was good, but it was quite light on the salmon. I struggled to get salmon in every bite. The waffles were also good, a little dense and quite sweet, but not unexpected as it has both Nutella and whipped cream. The strawberries provided a well needed bit of balance.Similar to the hotel it’s in, the decor of the restaurant was certainly interesting and unique.
The food was excellent! Absolutely loved the penne arrabbiata dish. I would absolutely come back! The seating was a bit tight though
Good food and drinks. Amazing place to have dinner before Broadway. The main courses were great but they were a bit late.
We went here for lunch after a work meeting. Quick service, nice atmosphere and good food. Large tip encouraged but apart from that, was a good experience.
Oh this place was Devine! Very close to our hotel and thought why not?!? So glad we stopped by and had lunch! Outdoor seating is a must if you enjoy people watching! Got the gnocchi, he got the salmon and prosciutto crostini was simply executed, but absolutely delicious! I would definitely go back on my next NYC trip! Oh...almost forgot....spicy margarita was perfect!
First dinner in New York. Pasta for a main course. Something different. The food was really good. Great service. They dont rush you, let you enjoy each course
Flavorful carpaccio topped with a special white sauce and sliced truffles, which give the dish a very special touch. The service very attentive, looking out for the table’s needs and special requests. Creamy carbonara sauce, very nice pasta. For dessert I had the Torta di Ricotta, amazingly balanced cheesecake. Good ambiance, overall nice place to go.
After walking around for 10-15 mins we landed at this restaurant with a party of 6 adults and a baby. We didnt have a reservation on a Friday night but we were quickly accommodated. The food was great and traditional Italian. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star rating was our waiter. He took our order and it came out quickly but we felt rushed and like he really didnt want to wait on us.
Great food and presentation! The lasagna was superb. It was week balanced and The cheese was cooked to perfection. The Burrata recipe was not the best ever, like the one in Peppecorinos in Orlando, but it was worth it. The staff started a little slow and made me wait. Once I made them aware, they did an incredible job. I really like and well repeat the visit.
Serafina Italian Restaurant at West 55TH Street has surpassed our expectations! Great food, great place, and amazing service staff - the man of the night is Mario. He is probably the coolest and friendliest restaurant staff that I encountered. He has a lot of humour too. We all loved our pasta, especially mine - the farfalle al limoncello! The pistachio cake is one of a kind. Amazing experience! I can’t wait to be back.
We ordered penne al arrabiata, pesto spaghetti and one of the fish. Overall the taste was good but the dressing/sauce of the fish was on the sweeter side which felt out of place. The dessert however was amazing! It was the one with 7 layers of chocolate with hazelnut crunch - the texture, sweetness and taste were absolutely amazing!
A classic Italian kitchen location, making you feel at home, and their food are not disappointing as well. Great servers. And they dont rush you to finish your food. Pastas and salads were our favorite.
Excellent food, wine & service. A staple for NYC visits
Top-of-the-line service. Couldnt ask for more hospitality.. even walked in with a hat and didnt get any issues as I usually do in formal restaurants. Food was ..... standard I guess would be the best word. Price point is right on par for the quality. I feel like theres a saturation of these I import my pasta from Italy spots in NYC... but hey thats just my opinion
The place is connected to the Dream Midwest hotel where I stayed so it was a good late lunch option considering the wintery day outside. The food was decent, special mention for the burrata, very fresh and delicate as one would expect. The rest of my meal, portofino tagliatelle and an espresso, were mediocre. The pasta was too creamy and the flavour of the basil - the main ingredient - was barely discernible; the espresso was watery and had a burnt-like aftertaste. The service was very good and fast despite the place being almost full: one of the few times in NY where I gave a full gratuity (well deserved). The atmosphere was nice, warm and cozy. Im not dissatisfied however I wouldnt recommend it for its ratio quality / price.
This place is pretty standard fancy Italian. Its expensive, and thats about it. The servers arent happy to be there and it shows. If there were any specials, we never heard about them. They sloppily dropped the plates on the table to serve the food and hastily took half finished plates away.I wont be coming back here.
There is a lot to say about this resturant. First I will say the food is super delicious. We recently had a mother daughter day with my mom and sisters. The day itself was great but how we were treated at the restaurant not so much. We don’t mind being around people of many backgrounds but because we are Black/African American the waiters kept staring at us. Made us feel very uncomfortable. I will not say it was all the waiters because the ones who put cheese on our dishes were very respectful. The moment we walked in the mood was off. I forgive them for this because I know it’s difficult changing overnight. It takes time.Besides that incident, the food was perfect. We ordered the rigatoni allá bolognese (meat seasoned well and noodles seemed homemade), cacio e pepe (cooked to perfection), brussel sprouts (fresh and seasoned lightly which was wonderful since our mom can’t have loads of sodium) and spaghetti squash (our favorite). This resturant only offers tap water which isn’t the biggest flaw but filtered is preferred. The menu had many choices of beverages with and without alcohol. This may be a small matter but the seats were uncomfortable. I’m only saying this because if I’m sitting at your restaurant I want to be comfortable while eating. It can be tight. They divided the checks very easily which is a plus. They really are a jewel to the New York family tree but need to work a little on being polite. Great service can make the experience more enjoyable. The aesthetics are very pleasing. Yes I may have said some cons but mainly it’s worth the visit because no one is stopping me from enjoying good food.Thank you for the meal and service!
I dined in this evening and had a lasagna. It wasn’t good at all! They had heated it up from frozen or hadn’t cooked it for long enough. It tasted watery and the cheese was granular. Our server was also very rude. After paying a 20% tip, he threw the card back at me. No thank you or anything. Is 20% not a good tip? Or is this standard for a New York restaurant?Lovely Aperol Spritz and spaghetti carbonara though!
Delicious Italian food. Plenty of appetizers and so much to choose from in pasta , seafood , and pizza dishes.
Nice place, I liked my chicken. Check out my pictures I thought the way it came out sure was neat. It was a quiet atmosphere and not NYC stuffy. We sat outside and had a good view of the area. The waiter was nice.
Our first I was going to complain about the bill, but in all reality, everything was so fresh made that you can’t complain. A lot of places do not make homemade food. Let’s keep it real and it was delicious.
3rd time dining here. Loving it more 🥇🥇.My niece flew in from overseas and was near Central Park sightseeing. We chose this for the proximity but mostly for the excellent quality of cuisine and ambiance.A plus was they also let me bring in my road bicycle. Everyone enjoyed the experience. Top notch 👍.Did I mention this is quality food at very reasonable prices for NYC. Feels like I’m in Queens and not getting hit by inflation .Forgot to mention the desserts are also amazing 🤩Truly the very BEST on Billionaires Row 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love the serafina restaurants. Food was excellent especially the snapper. My negroninwas well made. Atmosphere is lively. Worth a visit.
This chain is so over-ated. You can get better food at authentic Italian restaurants–so many in NYC, with less of a chop shop vibe. This chain is churn and burn. Looks nice but impersonal. This specific location, 55th / Broadway, Id avoid! I ordered Calamari and a Salmon main. Calamari was soggy and I almost returned it. Should have because I left and had violent bowl issues, this never happens to me. Had to be the food since I was fine before. I called to complain and the Associate manager barely wanted to give me her name. Took my info and said their GM would call me back, implied that a lot of people try to pull stunts to get money back! While that may be true, I was calling to warn them they are serving bad food, they could keep the money. THE GM NEVER CALLED BACK.SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY and go to a smaller local restaurant. Youll feel more human, get way better food and go home well.
Food good, freshly squeezed orange juice amazing. Service sucked and we were overcharged which is ok we didnt want to be rude. But they need to check there menus and pricing. Servers hardly came around
If a restaurant could get the worst Italian food prize in NYC -- possibly east coast -- itll definitely have Serafina as competition! Count on tasteless food thrown away like straight out of tupperware, with staff and style clinging to 2003 like its its only job. Go elsewhere for food, but come for mosquitoes and mold smell anytime.
Serafina has a few a la carte options for breakfast. The hangover sandwich )$28 plus tax) had egg, Fontina cheese but could use more Sriracha. The fries were excellent.
The food was just average level, and the service was terrible. The waiter made us wait for nearly half an hour before checking out. Spoons were not clean, napkins smelled like rags, and the floor was sticky 😅
This place is a bit pricey but food and service was good. Homemade pasta was good . Portions are perfect, not too much and not too little. I was very satisfied with my meal.
The food was pretty good, but one of the worst service we’ve experienced. Truly disappointing considering we were visiting from Tokyo for our Christmas night dinner. First of all the host didn’t even check our reservation for Opentable, which we could get penalize for no-show. It also took about 15 minutes for the waiter to come to the table. He didn’t even greet us and just asked what we wanted. I asked the waiter to make sure to check us in for Opentable, but he never informed us whether he did it or not. That being said he did answer our questions precisely. Just lacked friendliness and greetings throughout the course of the dinner. Also, I find not acceptable when the bus boy took the tea bag out of the cup and left it out on the table. It made no sense and I took a picture of it to share for the review. Lastly, what pushed us over the edge was that the waiter didn’t say anything as he handed out the payment. He left the credit card scanner without saying anything and didn’t come by to collect and express any appreciation. As we exited the restaurant, we gave him a last chance to greet us, but just straight up ignored us. What a surprise. During college, I worked at Benihana, but I believe this is a management issue with lack of training for its staff. I recommend them to at least teach their employees to say “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays” on Christmas night.I can’t even give this place an one star. The level of service is worse than Olive Garden. At least we wouldn’t be paying $30 per plate at Olive Garden. I do regret tipping 20%, but didn’t want to stoop down to their level. Merry Christmas and hope you provide better service in 2022!
Im not sure if this place is known for their pizza or not. We chose it because of its proximity to our hotel and because we wanted a fancier restaurant. The pizza ala vodka became a family favorite, and my kids are already begging me to make it at home. The service was great and the restaurant was clean and cute, although it was extremely cramped.
The atmosphere is nice, it is comfortable and spacious, the food is not that good, the pepperoni pizza was bad, it looked like it was from any fast food place, the ravioli was tasty but the ricottini bolognese pasta was hard and cold. I did not like them.
The place its in the corner, place to sit inside or outside. The raviolis were nice as a suggestion from the chef, too little to be 1 plate, the taste were nice. The service not to gently, a little bit rough with the pay because the waitter did not explain well.
Our recent dinner at Serafina Italian Restaurant on Broadway was an absolute delight. Despite being a bustling evening, the manager went above and beyond to create seats for us at the bar, showcasing their exceptional customer service. As usual, we ordered our favorite dish - the veal cutlet with salad on top, accompanied by the amazing truffle-flavored French fries, and it did not disappoint. The consistency and quality of this dish remain unparalleled across all Serafina locations weve visited. Though we didnt order pizza this time, the individual pizzas ordered by the couple next to us caught our eye. They looked perfect, boasting a thin crust that was just right, not too much like a pita or tortilla, topped with perhaps a generous amount of cheese, but as New Yorkers, we believe theres no such thing as too much cheese on a pizza. Serafina once again proved why its a go-to for us, blending impeccable service with mouthwatering cuisine.
If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would! It was dirty, the pizza was inedible, and the waitress or manager did nothing to address the issues. Multiple people sent their food back because it was bad! We will never be back!!!
Service was amazing, José took great care of us! Dinner was delicious. Its on a great location on broadway, right next to Central park and very close to Times Square. Prices are good, very much worth a visit!!!
The location is nice 👍Unfortunately, except for the bruschetta, the pizza bresaola (dried beef) and the penne alla vodka were not so good at all… Anyway, there is room for improvement.
Quick lunch during a conference call. Nearby the Sheraton on 7th Ave, don’t miss it. Ordered bruschetta as appetizer , it was super fresh and tasty with fine chopped basil. My steak came a little bit over medium, oposite to what I ordered, however, our server was super nice and apologized a couple times, offering to get me a new one. I declined because it was still good. Thank you Alex for your great service, I’ll go back once in NYC.
Food was good. The cacio e pepe pasta was smaller than the rest , that was kind of weird (I was a bit disappointed on this) and the desert was not amazing .. (cheescake and tiramisu )But our server Lautaro was super nice and attentive ☺️🤍Update: I actually got super sick after dining here 🥴🤮.. i dont think im coming back
Excellent food. I had the bolognese, my husband had the pizza. Truly authentic Italian food. Old fashioned was great as well. Excellent atmosphere.
Great chain of dependable NYC Italian Restaurants. Good food, Great Service. Good atmosphere. I chose 55th & Broadway since I am seeing a show nearby.
We had to wait some time to get seated and the servers aren’t as attentive, but it’s okay if you’re not in a rush. The food is also decent if you’re not looking for something higher end.
We dined in for late appetizer after Sunday stroll in NYC hubby as always wants to try grilled octopus and i ordered prosciutto parma and burrata. The foods are great it took a while for the the order even the coffee still didnt come, and customer service is really lacking.
Nov 2023 I was in NYC for work and had Serafina for lunch two of the five days I was there. They only had two or three vegetarian options (although I’m vegan). Both times I ordered the spaghetti squash. The first time I didn’t get the pine nuts, which I was ok with but the second time I did. The overall dish was very good - hot and fresh. I especially enjoyed the veggies. I would’ve appreciated a bit more pasta sauce, but I guess the lack thereof was for my benefit as it had some dairy in it. Service was nice. I was one in a group of five and the restaurant was able to accommodate on both occasions.
The staff was INCREDIBLE recently in providing perfect attentive service. I and my dining partner were late and needed to make a 7:30pm performance at Carnegie Hall. Knowing this the staff quickly provided us with a delicious meal with outstanding service. PS: the cocktails were perfect! Thank you so much for providing such excellent service and a fast but very pleasant meal! 😊
Had a wonderful experience. My daughter took me here for mothers day and it was such a wonderful experience - mainly because my daughter and I had a blast but... Serafina - food amazing, service excellent. Wonderful day. We shared the meatballs, brussel sprout salad, french fries, affogato, pistachio cake - all were amazing. Super happy and would definitely go back
Good Pizza and pasta. Also interesting menù items like fried artichokes which are a delicious Roman specialty . Nero davola wine was not exciting but the Primitivo was fantastic 👌
Great staff and food. Be sure to make a reservation.
We are in NYC to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary for a few days and are so glad we stumbled upon this little gem we got in on a Friday without booking as it is so large really authentic Italian with excellent service I had Octopus and their special chicken salad wine was a tad pricey in my opinion. Still, all in all, superb will try to get back before we return to Scotland.
Oooof! I ordered a pasta because it looked delicious in photos, but chicken was dry/over cooked, barely any mushrooms but the flavor was yuck. Smelt good so I thought Id give it a try. Sorry not tasty, but nice customer service!! Though a bit loud music. My opinion.
Food is alright. The servers always seem annoyed and irritated. First time here the waitress did not help understand the menu she kept walking away. Anyway not bad food but don’t expect 5 star service.
Good italian restaurant chain in NYC. If you need a good quality and a reasonable price, Serafina is perfect!
Service is slow and not too pleasant. People seem like they dont wanna work here. Lobster ravioli was good but arugula salad was basic no flavor dressing. Not much love here overall. I wouldnt come back. Kinda run down place too... like the owner used to like this place and retired or something... lol. Also over priced for the quality
Food is good ,service garbage waiter wasn’t friendly at all and we sat out side in the gazebo and there were a lot of bugs 4!small shrimp , nothing special for 27 dollars???
Loved the Spaghetti Al Pacino and the Branzi no (special of the day). Excellentdpot pre theater!
The staff here is really nice. I love it when they don’t seem so tired or bored that they can’t even handle talking to me, something that happens a lot in NYC. Here though, everyone seemed to care from the host stand staff to the bartender and to the waiter. The fresh pasta is so tender and fresh, and the food comes out hot (as it should)! We went to a couple other locations and we were shocked by the discrepancy between them, poor service and cold cacio e Pepe. This location is the best out of the ones we tried by far. Good job team and thanks for making our night out a great one! ◡̈
Ordered The ravioli alla Salvia the butter sauce had no sage flavor and the ravioli were thin.
I have high expectations of this restaurant but deeply disappointed. Goat cheese spinach salad that you can barely see the pine nuts, goat cheese that’s melted on bruschetta. Ravioli with barely there porcini mushrooms, Arnold palmer that tastes like straight from can, not homemade, parmiggiano reggiano cheese they offer for your pasta doesn’t taste like authentic Italian parmiggiano reggiano.55th and Broadway location is a tourist trap.
I was there celebrating my birthday with my friend. We had a delightful time. The food was fantastic. The drinks were amazing. Just all-around great.
Pizza was good. Burger needs more sauce. Calamari was the best dish.
Underwhelming. Heard good things about this place but can’t recommend. No service when we sat down - had to go grab someone - and the pasta was meh. Not bad, just meh.
Ordered the steak and fries with the fries replaced with sauteed broccoli and 3 beers.Pros: Got seated immediately at 1915 on NYE, beers came quickly.Cons: Bread dipping oil was straight olive oil with no seasoning, steak was under seasoned, the accompanying steak sauce was pretty bland, all the vegetables were pretty bland. Not worth $36 for just the meal.
A gem of a restaurant very close to Central Park. Beautiful decor and kid friendly (kids menu). Atmosphere was excellent and the service was great. Would definitely dine here again.
The Spicy Penne Alla Vodka is to die for, not as spicy as I thought it would be with the red pepper flakes but it was perfect for me since I’m not the biggest fan of spicy food. I did not add any protein into my pasta but it was still amazing without any added meats.
The food was ok, but the service can improve more. I prefer other serafina branches more than this one.
I got the vodka sauce pasta with bow-tie noodles. Id was incredible. My in-laws got the pizza, which was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.
I loved the spaghetti carbonara! Great flavors and I was satisfied with the portion size. Margarita pizza was also pretty good! I recommend trying this place if going to see the Christmas tree or viewing a show at the Radio City Music Hall. Good, affordable for the area and a nice ambiance.
Loved this restaurant so much. Lucky for us it was right across the street from our hotel. The BEST pizza Ive had in a long time! We ate there the second time for pasta. YUM!!
Serafina was a great experience in New York, to start I will talk about the service they were attentive and friendly, exclusive in New York that so far the bad mood reigns in the service. As for the menu is excellent, I opted for a truffle risotto and it is simply wonderful. Importantly, they have a vegetarian option. The wine list is also of quality. For dessert we opted for the profiteroles which was from the gods. Do not miss this space that pleases the eyes, taste and heart.
Beautiful place, delicious food 🥰❤️ its a bit pricey for the portion.
What a disappointment. The food was good but the service was lousy. There is a disconnect somewhere in their management / waitstaff for table ordering. If you really want to eat at this location, I say go eat at the bar. Table service is NOT worth the aggravation.
Went for dinner, and the food was delicious. We got the spicy penne à la vodka in the rigatoni Bolognese both were great and cooked perfectly.
Serafina was located on the ground floor of the Dream Midtown Hotel and I dined at the bar. Beer selection was limited and all macro brews (Heineken, Budweiser, Stella Artois, etc.) only available in bottles. I ordered the Serafina Burger cooked medium and was served a raw burger, when I brought it to the bartenders attention, he was apologetic and had it remade. The second burger was perfectly cooked and delicious!
Good location when catching a show. But the food is tragic.Bruchetta: bread was not warm and toasty. Tomatoes had no flavor and almost felt like they were freezing. Seems like it’s pre-prepared and sits in a cold fridge.Calamari: Zero crunch to the breading. Very spongy texture. And no seasoning either. The marinara dip was its only saving grace to make it edible.
Lovely place...great food...wonderful service
Tacky decor but good food and service. Short walk to Winter Garden Theater
Beautiful inside. We’ve had a lot of Italian in NYC, and this was at the bottom. Thd food just wasn’t great. The dessert options were lacking. The service wasn’t great. We just had water and it’s the first place in the city that they didn’t keep our cups filled. We had to ask for more water multiple times. We were right next to the server area and still got pretty ignored.
Nice meal here. It was a little hot and humid even inside. Pasta carbonara was great.
I thought it was cool that they offer gluten free pasta with nearly any dish for an additional $5. Not bad. Sit outside for great people watching.
Usually I research my NYC restaurants while in town for shows. This time we decided to take a chance on Serafina, near our Residence Inn Hotel. Fortunately, they were able to seat us. We enjoyed salmon and sea bass, Whispering angel wine and shared a chocolate cake. The food was good and prices in line with NYC.
Most of the staff were nice and attentive, but the waiter was absolutely terrible. To the point I’m basically forced to write a negative review. He completely forgot about us to the point the lady working in the front had to remind him a couple times just for us to get the basics. Water/drinks, food we want to order, and the check. I was trying to literally order more but he was never around for me too. I thought cool maybe they’re busy I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. However he went to many other tables multiple times before even checking on ours. I wasn’t going to write a negative review, but getting a pay on sight bill where the waiter stands over your face while you select the tip that the lowest prompt is 18% is insane.
Was served stale lasagna, didnt know that was possible. Then, while waiting for the replacement dish the hostess jumps on a video call, speaker full blast, and proceeds to have a personal conversation for the next 10 minutes.Im guessing the manager must be off today, or maybe Serafina on Broadway is about to close?!?Regardless, very disappointing experience with the food and the level of service.Updated my rating, lowering it from the lack of managements attempt to recover my dining experience after they were informed. Definitely avoid this restaurant.
Im surprised this place didnt get more stars than it has! The food was amazing, as well as the service, and the restaurant has a very comfortable vibe to it – not too loud, not too quiet, not too cold, not too hot, and the lighting was dim, but not too dark, which I love. I would definitely come back here again!
Espresso martini. Thats all. Tried calamari, as well. Pretty mediocre. Id go back just for the espresso martini.
Beautiful place and amazing food! Our server was charming and told us about all the specials. I had the filet mignon with arugula black and blue and it was perfection! I cleaned my plate and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Hopefully one day Ill be back to try the red snapper!
Loved the place. Went for a friends birthday. Food was delicious...I had the Gnocchi and a few other things. Either way, worth it. And love the staff
I will start with the positives:My cocktail was great! Incredibly well-balanced and well-flavored. I also had the Mozzarella appetizer for our table. The other guests had salads that were also excellent. The main courses were fairly prompt and were very good. I had the spicy penne, and I wished it had been a little bit more spicy to be honest, but the sauce was great! Very creamy and the bacon added a nice touch. I also appreciated that they told me about it ahead of time because it wasnt listed in the dishs description. Since I eat with vegetarians a lot, I always appreciate when a restaurant warns diners of hidden meat. Although, listing it in the description would probably be helpful. The dessert and cappuccino were excellent. I dont know where they get their ice cream, but it was some of the best vanilla I have ever tasted and the chocolate hazelnut cake was very light and delicious. However, I have to take away at least 1 star for the poor service. We seemed like an afterthought to the waitstaff and getting people to even check in on us was difficult. I had to ask three times for more water and the waiter literally took my friends half-full glass of wine away before he was finished. You dont really have a dedicated server, it seems, and they just generally seem overwhelmed. That being said, I would come back for the food alone, and just know what to expect going in in terms of service.
Food is so good
We were staying in the hotel up to the restaurant and we tried for breakfast the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and with prosciutto. Super recommend this place the service was super . It is a good location close to Times Square and Columbus Circle.
We had dinner here with a group of friends early (5:30) on a Saturday evening. I’d actually give it 4.5 stars. We ordered a wide variety of food items and everyone enjoyed their meal. (My burrata with roasted tomatoes was delicious.) However, the service was slow and we had a difficult time obtaining drink refills. Example - it took 30 minutes for our desserts to arrive after we ordered them and an additional 30 for our check to be delivered (after we asked for it.) I do not like to feel rushed, but after a long day in the city, I just wanted to leave …
A nice place, food was good. Itsquite pricey - the service, as often in the US, is in the beginning very friendly but lack european standards at the end: they literally grab your plate the moment you have finished, even though my wife was still eating. A no go.But all in all we had a nice dinner at serafinas.
The carbonara was very oily and it wasnt what I was expecting. The spaghetti pomadoro (Im probably misspelling it) was also okay. I wish I could have ordered a smaller plate for my kid. The staff didnt seem happy to be there, maybe it was the rain.
Love it. New York at its best - in the affordable price range. A must before a Broadway show. Great wine list, a versatile choice of pastas and generous antipasto and main dish portions.
I absolutely loved Serafina’s! The atmosphere is gorgeous, the food was amazing! I had the bolognese and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend and will be returning. The only downside is that they only have two bathrooms with one stall and they are in a tight space so it did create some congestion in using that bathroom but other than that, definitely a 5 star restaurant.
Perfect for a good date. Their ravioli spinach ravioli is to die for.
A nice and not very expensive restaurant right across from the Residence Inn Central Park. The food is very good and the service is quick and efficient. If you plan to arrive during peak times, I recommend to make a reservation. We walked in and were seated without a reservation, but I recommend you plan ahead.
Nice ambience. Dont order the seabass unless you are prepared to eat sweet dessert.. It comes with carmelised vegetables bu it is not made clear on the menu. Took a while to get the table clean. Pasta was delicious.
Came to Serafina for a quick and light dinner. Service is wonderful here! We arrived without reservation and were seated quickly. The waiter answered all questions and was helpful when it came to me deciding on a dish. I do wish they had more options when it came to protein and how it can be cooked. Its a chill ambiance with some light music playing in the background. Pasta was great.
Food was fine, came out fast and was tasty. Service was unfriendly & inattentive. The staff were too busy talking to each other or looking at their phones to notice us . A piece of sharp plastic in the Milanese was apologised for and received 2 free drinks with the cheque pushed in front of us shortly after. Goodness help us if we wanted another drink or dessert. We were staying at a hotel that granted us a discount but could not be bothered to ask.I hope it was just a bad night for them.
SCAMfirst time I’ve been told an omelette just an option to add things to your eyes, hence $0.50 more expensive than 3 eggs any styleThis is absolutely ridiculous!Told me we have no idea what an omelette is and served 2 eggs over easy cause we didn’t specify we wanted anything include
Their location is great. The 20% authomatic gratuity is what caused them to lose points.
Food was great, service was a bit slow to start but once we got drinks out it picked up. Pretty affordable as well!
The worst restaurant experience you can get in NYC.Service was terrible. Empty bottles was staying in the table for hour. Plates and clutter were the cheapest you can possibly find. Serving was very unprofessional. FOOD for that price I was expecting something way better than microwaved risotto or three transparent slices of prosciutto for $30. 20% tips automatically included in the bill and now I understand why. Because no one in their sober mind would ever leave good tips for that service and food.
Unfortunately, our experience did not go well, I recommend you be very careful with the bill because they automatically credit the tip, of their choice passing it off as mandatory 20% and under another name (gratuity) because they cannot write tip. The service was not worth them. Customer-unfriendly service, in general the food is not bad, but with those prices they cant behave like that. Sorry but you cant consider a restaurant Italian just because of the Italian name. Training to staff in care and ethics should be reviewed.
Visited twice during our trip. Stayed in the hotel connected & our first night we tried it was great lovely food & staff very attentive. Visited again & food was great again but unfortunately the staff let it down the second time, they didn’t seem in the best of moods & weren’t as attentive as previously. Price point is great for NY
We stayed at the dream hotel and specifically decided to go to Serafina as the included continental breakfast listed gluten free bread and granola. We weren’t expecting much since it is continental, but I didn’t expect to be treated like a burden for simply asking and then verifying about the gluten free options (not a fad diet choice, but a medical necessity for someone with celiac disease in our family). The first time I asked, I was standing by the breakfast options. There wasn’t any “oh sorry, we’re actually out of it right now” just “no, don’t have it” and dismissiveness. Then when he came over to our table to see if we were going to order anything, I just asked to clarify if we had to order off the menu to get the gluten free options (since they’re listed there) and the look and tone I got with the response was just ridiculous and rude. The guy also appeared to be the manager, not just a server, so I expected a little more…tact? Of course I’ve no idea what the experience would be like if we didn’t have the dietary restriction, but if you’re like us and just counting on an easy GF breakfast as part of your hotel stay, go somewhere else.
The food was good but that was literally the only decent thing about my experience. The waitress was not friendly right off the bat when my girlfriend and I were nothing but nice to her. We watched other tables get bread (seemed to be complimentary) and we did not. Out waitress never once asked if we wanted anything to drink other than the water that was already on our table (why? — if she had asked, she would have increased the check total, therefore increasing her tip). Our food came and my girlfriend’s meal was not correct, which is no big deal — it happens, but no one ever apologized to us once. After the waitress was informed the food was wrong it probably took 20 minutes for my girlfriend’s correct order to come out. Still no apology. We saw multiple other tables get offered fresh grated cheese for their dishes which we were not, and in the time it took us to eat our food the waitress did not come by once to ask how our food was. I work in food service, so I am generally very difficult to upset. This, however, was unacceptable. It was not at all busy so there is really no excuse for the lack of service we received. The thing that upset me most though, was that we watched our waitress provide great service to other tables; offering them all the things we never got. I’m not sure if it’s because we are young or because we are visibly queer, but the way this waitress treated us was absolutely horrible. I expect way more from a place that comes off as a fine dining restaurant, let alone in New York City. I am honestly shocked that this happened, as I have never been treated this badly at a restaurant. I discourage anyone who is young or visibly queer from going to Serafina Broadway, at least as long as the unpleasant woman that was our waitress works there.
Loved the vibe and very much so loved the mushroom risotto! Also fairly priced meals.
Everthing was perfect. Food was delicious, service was amazing, and price for being in Manhattan was even better! You must go, and have a traditional plate like the Chicken Parmigian.
Serafina, nestled in the vibrant Meatpacking District of Manhattan, is a gem that stands out for its delightful Italian cuisine and exceptional ambiance. From the moment my family and I entered, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere, indicative of true Italian hospitality. The restaurants location is unbeatable, perfectly situated to set the stage for a memorable evening in one of New York Citys most dynamic neighborhoods. The service at Serafina was impeccable. Attentive and friendly staff made us feel welcomed and valued, ensuring our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. Their recommendations from the menu were spot-on, adding a personal touch to our meal.Speaking of the menu, it was a splendid showcase of Italian flavors. The unique flat chicken parmigiana was a standout, perfectly crispy and flavorful, redefining this classic dish in a way only Serafina can. The pasta with spicy arrabbiata sauce was another highlight, striking the perfect balance between spice and the rich, tomato-based sauce, leaving us craving for more. Our evening at Serafina was not just about dining; it was an experience that brought joy and satisfaction. Enjoying such high-quality Italian cuisine in the company of my wife and daughter made the evening all the more special. Serafina is not just a restaurant; its a destination for those seeking a blend of great food, service, and atmosphere in the heart of Manhattan. Its certainly a place well return to, eager to relive the wonderful experience that Serafina consistently offers.
Pretty decor great wine selection and so many pizza choices. Delish.
Very good italian food, compared to other restaurants in NY.
We came for a pre-matinee lunch and found the food to be delicious. We had a calamari appetizer followed by eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti carbonara, a wagyu beef burger and a side of Brussels sprouts. Prices are high, but the quality and portions were very good.
Went for a quick bite around 8:30 pm and to avoid a crazy storm that blew through. The restaurant seemed very promising as the Manager that greeted us when we came in was very accommodating. He assured us it would be a 5 minute wait and would seat us. Eventually, we were sat and didn’t see our server for almost 10 minutes. Finally, the server came and we gave our food and drink order to go since it took so long. Didn’t see our server for the rest of the time we were there, someone else brought our food and drinks. We asked for all our food to go, but they brought the appetizer out instead of to go so they had to take it back. Once our food was brought out, again not by our server, we had to wait another 10 minutes to pay our check because the person that brought our food had to go get the server in order to have the check printed. The server didn’t even bring the check by, it was the manager asking if everything was okay because we ordered our food to go. We just politely said everything was taking so long and it was getting late and we just wanted to get back to our place. There were only approximately 4-5 tables besides us there so I’m not sure why the wait times were so long and why our server really Never came to check on us at all.2 stars only because the manager that greeted us was very accommodating and did what he could to seat us quickly, however, I don’t think we will be going back with how poor the service was besides that. Plenty of other places to eat in the city.
This is a lovely restaurant not too far from Broadway,it is quite pricey.😅The staff were very flexible adding an extra seat etc for an extra guest. The food & cocktails were good. The staff went out of their way to sing Happy Birthday & brought over a cute little cake & sparkle. We had a lovely time, we did not feel rushed as we sat around chatting after weve finished our the meal.It was a lovely experience.
I ordered the spaghetti with clams and while there were a dozen shells on the plate they were all empty and none of the clams could be found in the dish itself. The Crostini Sofia was kind of bland. For the total cost the meal was in general underwhelming.
The service was poor and the food was mediocre. It took a long time to order drinks and appetizers (artichokes and burratta, and arugula and parmigiana salad). Then we got the appetizers (both had nice presentation, but taste wise were not worth the money) and had to ask the server to have our waiter come back to put in entrées. For dinner, we had linguine and clams and spaghetti carbonara. Half of the clam shells were empty, and the carbonara was nothing spectacular. For dessert, they were out of the soufflé so the waiter recommended the chocolate cake. It was still partially frozen in the middle. This was an extremely disappointing experience considering I had heard good things about the restaurant...
Great food, fast service, had a great time. I recommend the lasagna and octopus very much. Bit cramped! But Im a big guy. Ill be back sometime!
Food was excellent, reasonable & yummy. Everything was a lot better less expensive than our afternoon lunch at Cipriani Dolci. Will come back to here in a heartbeat
Typical Italian restaurant, good for a birthday. They offer a slice of cake & sing for free
Great Service and food and good prices for broadway
We stayed at the Dream hotel & they had a special with the NYC marathon runners for a free pasta the night before the race which was really thoughtful. However the restaurant was not prepared at all for the influx of these orders. All of the runners were all getting the same options so Im not sure why it wasnt able to be ready to go or gave large batches (this could just be my ignorance). We placed an order for pick up and I paid for my meal since my husband ran the marathon and I didnt. I ordered the other free pasta option because I thought it would be easier that way. They told us to come back in thirty minutes for pickup so we went back around forty minutes later. When I got down there it wasnt ready and the bartender (who is over to go) wasnt able to give me an ETA of when the expect it.I left and had a drink somewhere else before coming back. We finally got our food and the serving size was not filling at all. My husband and I both agreed even if we had a voucher we wouldnt go back. We ended up getting food somewhere else after. I had better service and a better deal at the 99¢ pizza place across the street.
The food was okay, but for the amount they gave I would say the price is unreasonably expensive. We ordered the spicy pasta ala vodka for $21, but it was not spicy at all. We also ordered the spinach salad which was just a plate of raw spinach, nuts and dressing for over 20 dollars, which also seems unreasonable. The food came quickly but the staff was unfriendly and not welcoming. We did enjoy the bread and olive oil they gave us (but they forgot to give it to us before our meal and brought it out with the rest of the food). I wouldnt eat here again.
Visited the restaurant on Mother’s Day, I had no reservation but they accommodated us without a problem, everyone was super nice (a bit of a slow service but seemed like a few servers called out and the restaurant was busy... loved the fact that they let us eat without rushing us every 5 seconds).Drinks are strong, food was delicious, prices are great!
Great place for Italian in NYC! Food was great! I loved in Italy and this Spaghetti Carbonara was fantastic!
Unprofessional and Disrespectful ExperienceI had a terrible experience at this place. Karla, who was managing the waitlist during peak hours, couldn’t even keep track of it properly and was extremely rude. We waited for an hour only to see her seat someone who arrived after us and didn’t even have a reservation. When questioned, she raised her voice and seemed panicked, making the situation even worse. It felt unprofessional, disrespectful, and even discriminatory. If you’re planning to wait for a table, don’t trust their waitlist system—it’s completely unreliable. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
Stopped by here in the afternoon after visiting MOMA. The receptionist did not seem to want to seat us outside as their policy was dinner guests could only be seated outside. We were only having drinks and an appetizer and it was 4pm. To her credit she did then seat us outside. We ordered two drinks and asked about small bites or appetizers. The person who waited on us rattled off some items but never gave us a menu. I do not believe she was one of the wait staff, but seemed to be doing busboy services cleaning tables emptying trash etc. We asked for some bread and she said they had a house bread which we ordered. The bread never came, she never came back to our table and after about 40 minutes we asked one of the managers for our check. After another 30 minutes a waiter brought our check, but at least we were not charged for the bread. They seemed very disorganized.
This is the Italian restaurant!!! Fresh pasta 🍝 and pizza 🍕Very friendly staffIt has been a long time I didn’t enjoy to go out for dinner > totally worth it
Not only a restaurant, great cocktails too! Very friendly people
We had this place recommended to us so we went to try it.Service wasnt bad, nice people, but lacking effort to provide a good service.Food was up and down, nothing special. The appetizers we did enjoy and liked a lot.Next time I will keep the options to the places we look here.Wont Go Back.
The pizza at this place had a great taste. I was really happy to be here because I had heard how good it was from a friend of mine. The place was sort of hard to find, but so are many things in the city. I was really impressed with this place. It had an exciting look and the atmosphere was relaxed and it was the perfect place to bring a date. I really liked the food here. The pizza was perfect. It was slightly burned and crispy, which is just the way I love it. I hope that I can sometime visit this place again because everything there was so perfect. I had a great time with my wife there and we are going back again next time we go back for an extended trip in NYC.
Great food. Small intimate setting. Great service!
The best date night!
$25 food $8 delivery fee and tip for the delivery guy. I was unimpressed by the portion size. The pasta itself wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t anything special either and the bread that came with it wasn’t soft, it seemed to be a bit on the old side, probably made earlier in the day. A larger portion or better taste and some fresh bread would easily push my overall rating up and make me feel like I got my moneys worth but for what I received for the cost it left me feeling like I will definitely not order from here again. Pasta lovers doesn’t deliver but definitely much better than here. The picture I’m posting is the food untouched, how it came. The fork I put in the plate for size reference so you can get a good idea of the size of the portion. The container came as is. Like less than full, about 60% max full with food.
Beautiful place and great service.
Fabulous food, great upscale dining experience. Waiter was very engaging and helpful. We enjoyed their great bruschetta, INSALATA DI PORTO CERVO was amazing, PAGLIA E FIENO w/ chicken was the table favorite , PETTO DI POLLO PARMIGIANA was also a favorite.
My friend and I went here on a Sunday Afternoon. At the time, it was not busy. We were automatically seated at the Bar counter. The pastas are pretty good and they were reasonably portions. The Bartender is extremely friendly. I also saw a lot of family parties that also had a great time.
This is my favorite Serafina location in NYC. I have eaten here dozens of times. The food, service, and location are all fantastic!
Horrible... I went there with my girlfriend on June 10th 2022 and we ordered carbonara pasta. Our whole experience was horrible. (1) the person who lead us to the table was extremely unfriendly; (2) the food was pre cooked! The pasta was not fresh, the sauce was not fresh, the bacon was even hard to swallow; (3) they gave us the bill even before we request it, a clear signal they wanted us to leave. To sum up, an expensive place with horrible food and extremely poor service.
As an italian I am sorry to say their sauce tasted exactly like canned Chef Boyardee. Appetizers were sad but the star of the meal was their desserts (and they make a perfect dirty martini. Staff were very personable and helpful. We will not return.
I’ve been to multiple Serafina locations now and the food never disappoints! It was easy to reserve a table ahead as they can be pretty busy. My only complaint was that at times the service was slow/busy, but as far as the food coming out everything was timely. Definitely recommend this place and their other locations. They have outdoor seating and hopefully they bring out some heaters as it gets colder.
What a delicious meal. Lobster ravioli, the burger, and the bruschetta were excellent. Great flavor. Good portion. Wow.
The food was amazing! The service was amazing! The waiter constantly came to refill our water even when it was not even half way drank which is amazing! He does it with it being annoying at all! The bathrooms and tables were very clean! Total great experience would recommend! (We were seated right away)
I do not recommend this place! I’ve been there with my husband and my cousin (who’s foreign) and we didn’t like it at all. The waiter was super rude, I was translating for my cousin and he didn’t hide he was inpatient , we asked for a recommendation of wine and he didn’t know how to answer, we asked for a certain type of wine and came the wrong one ( we bought a bottle!) . We were still eating and they were taking our plates out of the table, extremely rude. Was not a positive experience AT ALL!! Absolutely hated it.
Idk why they were supper short on staff. They messed up our order to the level that the pizza came before the appetizer.
I had the eggplant parmiggiana. For $24, it did not come with a side of pasta. Overall the food was very good.
Was in town for work and wanted to catch up with a former colleague over breakfast. Finding a decent, sit down place to meet can be difficult in mid town, but Serafina was perfect. The food was fantastic and our waiter was very attentive and not pushing us to give up the table. The fresh juice was excellent. I’d go here again for sure.
Just arrived to New York City, and to our hotel.Decided to check out this restaurant at our hotel, Arthouse Hotel. It is an Italian restaurant.Checked our vaccination card (it seems it is a usual thing in New York, and I knew it before we visit NYC).Ordered Chicken MilaneseSautéed breaded chicken with arugula tomatoes & basilTagliolini al PolloFree-range chicken breast, cream, peas & mushroomsOpened our appetite with their in-house bread and olive oil.The chicken Milanese was too dry and came with no dressing/sauce, and the pasta wasn’t too juicy too.
The octopus portion was small and dry. Two pasta dishes are generous portion but nothing exciting. Tasted like a chain dish.I guess to touristy for me
Everything was perfect to start our new years eve celebration. The grilled octopus was the best Ive ever tasted.
Walk in New Years Eve... were able to get a table. Cute atmosphere 😍 , customer service was great. Food was delicious: fired calamari w red spicy marinara, Lassagna, pasta aioli and pasta bolognese
Great italian, seafood options are great!
I highly recommend this place for dinner I went my mom she loved the restaurant. Mario, Adriana, Corrine and rest of staff was very nice and friendly. They took care of me my mom we will be coming back in the future
Food and service were a perfect match. Staff was perfectly attentive. Get the chicken anything. Can’t go wrong here from lunch to dinner and from traveling around Manhattan, it appears that Serafina is growing. Rightfully so, good for you guys. Thanks and will be back.
The staff were friendly. My colleague and I were seated immediately. The food was okay, quality was decent, but mine was not very hot and even after being warmed it was only okay tasting. Id say go elsewhere unless. What this place has going for it is the location along Broadway and decent prices.
Good shopping experienceMost of everything availableAnd also good options for food and good time to spend for shopping and then having a good food.
Love the food waiter was very nice but the manager in charge was very rude I was for some pizza to go and after receiving it the manager screamed in front of everyone are u done because we need the table . I couldnt believe this guy treated me in such a manner. He ruined the whole experience I was loving it all and so was my boss till the rude manager tried kicking us out in our first time there.i couldnt believe it was happening in such a nice place I expected way better treatment. I was so embarrassed 😳 even my boss couldnt believe the awful moment. I will not be coming back .
Should have know from the moment we got to the restaurant. We had to flag someone down to seat us (We had a reservation). The waiter took our order and brought us our food in a timely manner but then we never saw him again. I had to get up and get the pitcher of water and refill our glasses with water. Not even a thank you when we paid the outrageous bill.
Delicious dinner, fast service. We were able to dine outside which was very nice.v
The wait staff took forever to attend to our party of three. It was as if we were a inconvenience to them. After dismal treatment from the staff we decided to just have a drink and move to a more attentive restaurant. After multiple delays our waiter finally brings us a exorbitant bill. Three drinks and a order of calamari $85?Your staff is pretentious and your menu is too busy. Thus town has far too many restaurant to bother with Seratinas.
Thought it would be great. Went for Brunch with family and it was a terrible experience. Service was rude and slow. French toast was not cooked through and when asked they said that’s how they do it. We said we like ours cooked, not raw. No need to argue with them so we left unhappy and they made more rude comments as we left. Don’t eat here is my suggestion.
While visiting NY during the week, it was a good spot for a light lunch.
While the restaurant is quirky and fun, the food was so-so. The lobster ravioli, while good, was served on a large cold plate so it was cold cold before I could eat it. The bread was served cold and the olive oil was way too earthy and pungent to accompany the bread. The oil needed a seasoning added. I asked for butter for the bread and it was cold so not spreadable on cold bread.
Although the restaurant was busy during the dinner hour, service was quick and efficient. The eggplant was prepared properly and it melted in my mouth.
Great location, good food, good prices and great service. Oh, and a nice atmosphere too. The lobster ravioli is awesome and the serving sizes are plentiful. Bring your appetite.
Decent place, food was good, prices average for Nyc they had some gluten free options I would recommend, good location if you staying near Central Park. Good with family.
This is a good price value restaurant in mid town. I would think it is better at lunch time in terms of the volume of music. It has this semi nightclub/ discotheque ambiance. Although the music is quite good, it is too loud to my taste. The food is fairly ok. I think they need to revisit their olive oil as it looks like it has the right color the acid level is so high you can choke on it. In any case , a high quality olive oil would never be served in such abundance with a fat big bottle. Service is fast.
Just happened into this and what an unexpected treat! The chicken parmesan was a huge portion and perfectly lightly breaded, very tender, and scrumptious!! The lasagna, appetizers and breads were equally delicious.Craft cocktails and wonderful service too!
