Very nice bar / restaurant . There was a DJ and had a very warm decoration. You order at the bar and bring your own plates. If you are vegan it has options !!!
I stumbled upon the Craftsman at a time when I was very new to New York and hadn’t really gone to many places. And since that time, very few places equate to the quality you find in the cocktails there. From the mastermind himself who develops all of the special drinks to all of the fellow bartenders who make their mark with whichever experience you desire within a cup, I implore you to enjoy an evening with friends or a night on your own at The Craftsman. That’s where I’ll be.
Great bar, standard drink prices, with hours that cater to students at Columbia. Can recommend this place to anyone looking for a good drink or a quick bite.
I frequent the Craftsman, an extremely wonderful and trendy cocktail bar, Irish pub, juice bar, and cafe that’s all one in the same at least 2-3 times a week on average. At 3pm on weekdays, it’s an excellent remote work location or a place just to relax in the afternoon with a cocktail, scotch, bourbon or beer. Between 3-5pm on M-F the Craftsman is quite peaceful, so you can hear yourself think. Then around 5:30pm the place becomes more lively. I’m never disappointed when I go. Everything is Awesome here! The staff is always very welcoming, courteous, and attentive. Their cocktails are top shelf and creative, their juice bar is innovative, and their coffee is bold and delicious. The Craftsman also has a decent wine and craft beer selection. They rotate their craft beer cans fairly often, their tap beer list is decent, and they have a delicious North Fork red wine on tap. Further, the place has a very good happy hour and their food is always wholesome, fresh, and satisfying. And they have a cool ambiance, especially at night when the candles come out and the lights go down. Lastly, they have jazz on Sunday nights, so the Craftsman makes for a great date night spot. What more can you ask for?
Came here on early afternoon and let me tell you - loved every second of it! The food was yummy and the drinks to go - ha fabulous!!!My family and I all had the Acai Bowls. So delicious would order that again and again! And I had the avocado toast also so good! Would I come again absolutely and do I secretly not want to tell anyone I know and gate keep it I do but that’s not fair!
Took over 15-20 min for an açaí bowl, the place was empty, there was no reason why an açaí bowl would take that long. Spent whole work break waiting in the establishment. Further, bartender didn’t acknowledge me when I entered. Kept messing around behind the bar, not making anything (no customers so nothing to make). Complete waste of time to stop here.
This place has a serious identity crisis. From the street, The Craftsman advertises its juices and smoothie bowls—but then you walk in and have to order at a bar with a big selection of liquors/alcohol. The interior is rustic in decor with a mix of booths and high tops with Caribbean music playing in the back ground (none of which goes together).Tried ordering a panini as this is the majority of what The Craftsman serves (that and smoothie bowls) but they were out of all paninis except for one. Settled for cauliflower tacos and my partner ordered a wrap and matcha tea “latte”. Latte in quotes because it was basically powder with hot milk for $5 (see pic).Only person I saw working was the lady behind the bar and her service was substandard at best.Would’ve given this place one star but the food wasn’t actually that bad and so I’m giving it two stars.I should also note that not a single person was eating. Everyone was either reading a book or on their laptop. One laptop guy was even enjoying a Starbucks beverage. That should tell you something.
If youve ever seriously questioned how gentrified the island of Manhattan is, the fact that an edgy hipster cocktail bar like this is located above 125th Street should answer that for you. What a delight. My chum and I came in here to cleanse our palates after a pretty rough margarita experience a few doors down on the same block. We walked 20 feet, I saw this place, said, I wish wed gone in here instead, and my chum said, We can. I realized she was right, and that was that. This is definitely my vibe. Sign me up for exposed brick, obligatory monochrome pictures and lots of wood. I just wish wed had an appetite to sample more of the menu.We came in here right before a mini rainstorm around 2ish this past Saturday afternoon. Now that Im thinking about it, literally every place we stopped in at on our trek up Broadway was empty, regardless of the time of day. Was everyone out of town? No idea. Anyway. I dont recall any other customers inside while we were there.Despite an atrocious Old Fashioned the prior weekend that made me dramatically declare I was done with bourbon, all of the hipster leather wore me down and I went with the Craftsman Campfire, conveniently served in a campfire mug. My chum side-eyed it a bit, concerned it was going to be served hot, but it was thankfully a cold beverage that provided a refreshing boost on a muggy summer day. My initial reaction was a little negative - the first few sips tasted like bland iced tea, and Im not sure why. Maybe it wasnt blended entirely? I didnt really taste the referenced fall flavors (cinnamon, apple, etc.), but once I dropped the lemon garnish in and mixed it around, everything was solid. The service and price point were fine - we actually experienced the opposite of sticker shock when we discovered the cocktails here were around $15 (par for the course, even this far north in Manhattan) versus the $20 next door at the mediocre Mexican place. THIS is the establishment that probably could get away with charging more for the artisanal cocktail goodness. I thought it took a LITTLE long to get the drinks, given that no one else was on the premises, but we werent in a rush. It also wasnt the kind of situation where we needed waitstaff to check in on us on a regular basis - very DIY here.I dont know how long its going to take me to convince someone to hike up Manhattan again, but were absolutely putting The Craftsman on the itinerary.
Its the best neighborhood spot in Harlem!!! Forget about anything you know. The staff is simply composed by the most wonderful people in New York. Expect to know them by name and make a lot of friends. The crowd is the best: Columbia students and staff, artists, musicians, Broadway crowd, bartenders... You name it!With the new hours, I switched from team craft bar by night to team craft cafe by day. They have what I consider the best açai ball in Manhattan, so filling, soo so healthy, with their playlists and atmosphere its the best place to get a day started, stay surrounded and get work done!
Love the place! Affordable prices for food and drinks, delicious food, and sometimes they have jazz performances.
Where once the shady Paddies Irish pub stood, now stands the Craftsman, a charming bar that breathes new life into this neighborhood corner. With an eclectic mix of events, including Brazilian nights, themed parties, and a Sunday jazz night, this spot has quickly become a favorite hangout for local students from Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University, and Teachers College. The inviting ambiance, cozy lighting, and warm atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a casual catch-up with friends or a romantic evening out. While prices may be slightly higher than nearby establishments, the experience is worth the extra cost. However, be warned that the noise level can sometimes be overwhelming, especially during live music events. So if you plan on attending jazz night, bring some earplugs to fully enjoy the music without sacrificing your hearing. Despite this minor downside, The Craftsman is definitely worth checking out.
Delightful little spot. Went for a coffee early on a weekday. Nice and quiet refuge from busy city. Only complaint is that the barista had no idea was a flat white was, which is down right uncivilized.
Great place to get drinks a little north of Columbias campus as a graduate student. Fun vibes and delicious drinks make this bar a go to.
Love this place. During the day there is fresh juice, coffee, and healthy snacks like smoothie bowls and avo toast. There are numerous outlets and wifi available and enough table space to spend a few hours doing work.At about 5pm, turns into a bar for happy hour and with many beers on tap and great cocktails.
We went in for an iced latte one morning and it was possibly the best latte I have ever had! We went back 2 more times in 24 hour period. Next time Im in the city, Ill make sure to stop there for another cup of joe!
The bartenders here are amazing! (shoutout to Carlos, David, Juliana) I’ve been coming here for the past year since I work nearby and they are all extremely friendly and kind - they really make you feel like family. Any time I’ve had questions about making cocktails, they have been generous with sharing tips and ideas. By far my favorite cocktail bar in the city! Chill vibe with plenty of locals that hangout. Truly a hidden gem in NYC.
Delicious Shrimp tacos! Smoothie was also pretty good as well, especially on a hot day. A bit pricey though.
I was brave enough to order a latte in a cocktail place. Not bad! Plus always a pleasure to see new stylish places popping out in this neighborhood.
The Craftsman is a cute little bar/restaurant/study spot offering a wide selection of beers and cocktails. They have a pretty good selection of sandwich options as well.
Pablo is the best bartender around !! Great customer service . He will literally ask you what are you in the mood to drink ??!! And he’ll make you a nice cocktail . Ask for Pablo at the main bar. My guy super welcoming , friendly , and the best customer service around !!
Their smoothies/açaí bowls are just okay, but at night its a great bar with decently priced beer!
This place is a great spot for a cup of coffee and productivity during the day and delicious sandwiches in the evening. Fantastic cocktails and service, good selection of beers as well.
This is a great place, Pablo is my favorite bartender his amazing and makes the best drinks. Pablo is very attentive. Service is wonderful.
Came here on a first date. Just get drinks and talk. The atmosphere is perfect for a first date. You walk in you seat yourself. We found a nice little corner. We were greeted by the bars dog. Very sweet. If you are afraid of dogs, this may not be the place for you. We went to the bar. We put our drinks in at the bar. I dont remember what I got but I was very satisfied with my drink. The reason why I gave it a four because my date was disappointed multiple times with his drinks I kept getting better ones than him lol. They might need to just study up a bit more on certain drinks and how its prepared. But if you just want to come hang out at a nice chill place and get some good drinks, this is the place to go. Highly recommend.
Awesome cocktails and incredible service, nice atmosphere. Should have better craft beer options otherwise is a great bar.
Nice setting for some drinks with friends, lights are dim. Happy hour until 7.
Excellent neighbour space and bar!! You can come sit here in the afternoon and work here with a coffee or go have a nice drink in the Evening. Both the coffee and alcohol is pretty nice and the staff too. They have happy hours too from 3-7pm. Quite busy on weekends but a good place to chill with friends. Its near Columbia University so at day time one can expect a lot of students working here. Do visit if you are in this part of town
The bartender with the beard clearly hates his job. I dont know why the owner is keeping him. Everyone knows about it. Just change him!
I never write reviews, who has the time but The bartender, Carlos, hes amazing!!! Give him a promotion! He puts so much care and attention into his drinks and his customers. He has specialty drinks that are not on the menu. There is a campfire that he made very special, he added sugar to an orange slice and caramelized the sugar for this drink. It set it OVER THE TOP!Also, the drinks are very well priced.Okay now why the 4 stars youre asking... There is another bartender that gives no *ish about how your drinks are prepared. Shes sweet but I had to correct her on the bill, she missed charging me for 3 drinks. Most people wouldnt say anything but there was $40 in drinks I almost wasnt charged for.The environment almost brought this down to a 3, the drinks seriously saved this. This is in essence a college bar that has a grown up feel. The problem is... its a college bar. The drinks are laid back and professional weekday bar feel. I say this to just keep in mind the location; its near Columbia college. But if CARLOS is working, its worth it!
We came here in the early afternoon on a Saturday, it was literally my group of four people and one other person at the bar and the bartender. We felt extremely unwelcome, not once did the bartender come over to take our drinks - we had to get up and order at the bar and when we ordered she seemed REALLY annoyed. We ordered a dirty vodka martini and she brought out 3 out of the 4 drinks to then say, she couldn’t make the martini… why not say that before bringing the drinks - again there was literally only one other person there. When we ordered food (just two share plates) she again seemed very annoyed with us. She brought our food and then never came back to check on us. The charcuterie plate was lovely and the tater tots were fun, but just such weird angry energy from the bartender…
Lovely environment, super helpful staff, good music and vibes!Excellent to spend a summer afternoon and chill with friends!!
My favorite bar in the neighborhood!!!Their drinks are always made with fresh ingredients and the price is very good too. Love the staff, always very nice and fast making drinks. Three night a week they have live music, so you can just choose the kind of vibe you’re looking for (my favorite is the Brazilian Night on Tuesday). Also a great place to work/study during the day, lots of natural light, Wi-Fi, and some delicious food!
Stopped by to pick up lunch and Frosé which was delicious!! The food was fresh and scrumptious! Bought a couple of bottles cocktails which were potent and so yummy! Definitely a wonderful and friendly business to support! We’ll be returning soon for sure!
Server was kind and friendly, she brought the food and drinks in a timely manner. For my first time experience, this place wasnt fantastic but I could see myself going again. The happy hour deals are average, ranging from $5-7 bucks per drink. I ended up choosing cider bourbon that had more bourbon than I anticipated.I wouldnt advise going here to study if youre looking for a more mellow, quieter atmosphere. The music was turned up pretty high. Coffee prices looked fair though.
Great experience courtesy of Aida (probably spelt wrong) lol, but good place for a few drinks and food. We had the shrimp tacos and the charcuterie board (no photos because we devoured most of it fast). Come here if youre in the neighborhood or visiting 🤙🏼💚
Lovely place, good drinks. But, the waiters were gathered around the bar gossiping so loudly that my wife and I couldnt enjoy our drink. If the staff were a little more professional I would have enjoyed it.
Honestly, the place was nice but the service and people who work there arent. The manager constantly served other people at the bar but ignored me. When I confronted him about it he became extremely hostile and began to raise his voice. People of color should avoid this racist place.
Awesome avo toast with tomato and alfalfa sprouts. açaí bowls and smoothies also good.
Nice music, good drinks, great service.
We had an absolutely awesome night hanging out at the bar with Neil (the owner and bartender). He makes incredible, artfully crafted cocktails and keeps you entertained. The music was awesome, the ambiance was warm, I cant wait to come back.
Craftsman cocktails are beautifully inspired, tasty, and have unique presentations. You wont be disappointed. The atmospheric energy allows one to drink alone, or in a group, enjoying the elegant intimate, spacious digs. Add all this to their live music Sundays. Neighborhood worthy everyday.
Wonderful service, great drinks and generous portions for the food. We got the cheese and charcuterie board with a side of olives - easily couldve been our main meal. Will certainly be coming back again. And very COVID friendly!
Sunday is sad in comparison to Friday night.Bad bar service, they closed the bar while we were still drinking, never called for the last call and closed our tab on our corporate card without acknowledging receipt. Furthermore, they were in a hurry to close at 2:29 am when the website states there open to 4am.The female bartender with red curly hair never remembers peoples names on tabs. Totally gross. She is more interested in partying with customers than serving us - taking pictures, long jokes and all the time 4 customers waited more than 10 minutes for beers. Two or three bartenders behind a bar of 15 or 17 people. The service ought to be better than this.Hopefully, the owner can reach out to us regarding dissatisfied encounter because this venue has major potential with the right employee training. Not to mention, no female should be sprawled out in the back booth for 90 mins passed out_*Initial review from a Friday now.The Craftsman is an eclectic pub. As soon as you step inside, you are immediately swallowed in a dimly lit place heavily dotted with incandescent bulbs. On the whole, mixologists are well informed with a trailer of intercollegiate frequenters. Their Old Fashioned will literally stun you as you fall in love with the built-in lighting behind the bar. This is near Columbia University and juxtaposed with a subway viaduct. It literally yells Sex in the City but in Harlem.
Cool relaxing bar with a great atmosphere. Waitress was so awesome!
Love this place! It is a coffee shop during the day, a restaurant during all hours and a bar at night. It can be noisy. The waiters are very friendly.
Cocktail was okay - basically infused whiskey on the rocks. Liked the atmosphere inside but there was a strange sour smell so it was one and done.
Wide selection of good craft beers. The sandwiches are also pretty good. Nicencosy atmosphere. Your perfect around the corner pub. So if you are in the area check it out but I wouldnt go there explicitly.
The staff was AWESOME SAUCE!!!!! INEXPENSIVE FROZEN DRINKS!!!!! Cauliflower tacos were healthy and delish. The only thing I would change about the tacos is adding a different sauce that has a little sweetness to them.
Wow, what a fabulous find! We came here because it is right next to the nail salon and were treated to a wonderful meal. I had the bagel with homemade almond butter and a pumpkin spice latte (with pumpkin puree!) My boyfriend had the cuban sandwich and matcha mint green tea. I sadly dont remember the name of our wonderful server, but he had the best Australian accent (hopefully that helps to identify him!) We tipped him twice -- as he came back to our table multiple times to refill my boyfriends tea and give him more mint and to bring us to go cups. The vibe of the place is so relaxed and chill - full of people enjoying a cup of coffee and doing some work. I cant wait to come back for happy hour! The prices were so reasonable for food and drink.
Small but decent menu, the cocktail I had was well made. A little pricey but the place has a nice decor and vibe. Great for a quick drink n eat w a small group of friends.
What a lovely addition to the neighborhood!I had been looking for a casual local bar with friendly staff where I could come and always feel welcome, and I certainly found it here! Not to mention the enticing food options- even a juice bar for day time drinkers ;)
The drink menu is good and the food menu is ok. Nice interior but it can get a bit loud at night. A good place to meet friends for drinks but not a great place for a date night
Great service. Casual tapa plates. We had the cauliflower & peppers tacos and baby cheese plate( Bleu, goat, gouda apples, walnuts, cranberries and multi grain toast)Nice selection of craft beers and full bar. Indoor/outdoorWill go back
Came in with a party of 8 and was seated right away. We then waited 10 minutes to get our order taken, and another 15 minutes just for drinks. The manager came by and asked if we had been taken care of and we said yes but about 15 minutes ago, and he asked our same waitress to take our order. So she stood there awkwardly and waited for him to walk away, and then put in our order. I could continue with the rest of the evening, but Im still sitting here waiting for my bill.
Do not order the gunsmith cocktail, impressively badEdit, not the fault of the bartender Im sure it was mixed as intended, just dont think those flavors are meant to work. Appreciate the direct feedback tho, adding a star out of respect for that and for the music selection which was excellent
Lovely cozy place with nice staff and good drinks 🍷
This is the third try Ive given this place and never again. Its miserably understaffed. Doesnt matter what time of day.For labor-intensive food (e.g. smoothies), it makes zero sense for one person to be working, the counter, chopping fruit, washing blenders and whatever else is happening. At least two people walk out for every six people in there so might as well not walk in. Would love to see something better in this space.Update: I finally gave up after 30 mins and cancelled my order for a bagel. 30 minutes. A bagel. 🙄
What a great place it has all these exciting juices and fruits for breakfast plus a few traditional items. Its a remarkable idea.It turns into a Craft beer haunt and superb Cocktails at night .The happy hour from 4pm to 7pm is brilliant. I LOVE NEW YORK UPTOWN
Hit or miss honestly. For this price range, youd expect better quality (drinks and service) everytime.
Fantastic Atmosphere! Friendly Staff! SUPERB Drink Selection!
Strange place: coffee shop/restaurant by day that turns into a noisy bar at 4pm. Pluses include lots of tables, lots of outlets, free wi-fi with password, and wood and brick decor. Minuses are that music is a bit noisy even during day and theres a big screen TV with sports. Theres a small selection of bagged teas and a large selection of smoothies, acai bowls, etc. No pastries. They do a chai latte from tea bags, milk, and honey.
Great bar ambient and good draft selection
Open till late nights ( Been here upto 2 am ) and some good choice of beers Cons - 1.they seem to run out of their best drinks at night 2. Neighborhood is not super safe ( dont get drunk alone ) 3. Only decent thing you can eat here are devilled eggs.
If you are a creative cocktail lover this place is for you. Try any of the specialty drinks handcrafted by the very talented bar staff. The amount of detail put into these astounds me every time I go there. 🍸🍸
Great place for a date. Awesome happy hour specials.
Great space. It feels intimate all through the bar. Service was good. Drinks were good and decently priced. I will return.
Best cocktail menu north of 23rd streer. Best bartenders north of 86th. Best Guiness eest if Ireland. Wood, lights, food, craft beer, and coffee. Oh and cold pressed. Best bar to go to post work out.
Amazing little bar thats packed with good people and good energy. Feels more like a family than a bar. If your in the area definitely stop by.
Lovely people. Great place. Great drinks and food. Let’s support them so we have them when we come back!
The atmosphere every Sunday where there is live music is amazing.
This place is illegal and dangerous. Bartenders are very rude and offensive, in violation of New York law they refused to provide us with glasses of water with our beers. After the bartenders were being patronising and rude in providing glasses of water after much consternation, my friend asked for a refill of water and the bartenders proceeded to physically assault my friend, committing physical battery and assault on an innocent young man who merely sought to quench his thirst.Tl;dr BARTENDERS PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED MY FRIEND
Place was pretty well lit staff was friendly, service could of been a a bit better...in the menue they have the on deck craft beer made me think they had it on draft but they didnt its just a sneak preview of the beer thats suppose to come after in my opinion get rid of it!
Fab place & staff are so friendly & welcome. Dj is spot on with the music 😂 keep up the good work & best wishes for the future. Angie x Ireland
I wish I could give negative stars for the horrific experience in dealing with this restaurant. The order that we placed never made it to our apartment, as the person making the delivery threw our order all over the basement wall and floor, and then broke a TRASH CAN, and threatened and THREW A FIRE EXTINGUISHER at our maintenance man. Which fortunately missed him, but damaged the door!I have no idea how this man gained access into the building as he never rang the intercom for entry. My wife phoned The Craftsman wanting to speak to a manager, and was just hung up on by a lady at the restaurant as she was explaining the situation and looking for help. This is unbelievable that your business takes ZERO RESPONSIBILITY for the deliveries, or for the safety of your customers. We have ordered from this business numerous of times and I can not believe that we are being left to deal with this on our own. We will seek a way to ban this restaurant from delivering to our building as well as look into pressing charges against the delivery man.
Craftsman has to be the newest and coolest cafe/bar lounge idea in NYC. the pressed juices and infused liquor choices are out of this world. Married with great service puts this venue at the top of my list of places to frequent when I am about town...YOU MUST CHECK OUT THE VIBE AND AMBIANCE...THE CRAFTSMAN IS THE BEST THING IN HARLEM....MAYBE EVEN NYC !!!
They have breakfast at mornings like açaí bowls and juices! The waiters were very nice! It’s next to the 125 metro station.
The place was great . It got packed later in the night on Friday ( normal on most bars in NYC). Drinks were really good !! And staff were really nice .
Music didn’t quite match the vibe here. But if you’re looking for clean / healthy drink if that makes sense then try this place.
Loved this place. We came here on a Sunday and they had live Jazz music, had a great time.
This was one of my go-to places when I lived in the area. Only because of their açaí bowls. It has fresh berries, banana, oats and almond butter and tastes so good. I used to go there to work and have a healthy breakfast. I recommend !
The acai bowl was good for the price. The acai mix was colder than other places but taste was there.
Its a cafe during the day and a bar at night. Both are really nice, although thr dinner menu is not the kind of food I like. But thats a personal choice
Used to live down the street. Favorite bar in the area! The staff is great and so are their drinks!
The place now sells acai bowl, juices, salads... I like the healthy theme
Great cocktail selection, very comfortable seating and lighting, but the music is a bit too loud for comfortable conversation.
I love the craftsman. The cuban panini is to DIE for. The cocktails are eh but the ambience is great. Nice for a cute date.GET THE CUBAN!
Great atmosphere (both during the day and at night), and a large + creative selection of drinks
Amazing drinks, great service!!
Coffee and Acai Bowls in the Morning. Smoothies and delish craft Beers in the afternoon. Tasty sandwiches and the best cocktails at night. Bring a Laptop. Bring Friends. Bring a Date. Bring a Book. Bring a Liver Bring your Coffee Addiction. Bring your Health Nut. Bring your Snackie. Bestt.
Best jazz shows every Sunday for basically free
Loved this place! Really recommend to anyone. Fair prices and good quality!
Lots of drinks, super friendly staff, big variety of beers and cool vibes.
Carlos and Gabby are truly exceptional and deliver amazing service, making them the best duo for Saturday nights.
V good food, both savoury and sweet, though it seems a complement to the booze served. Servers are friendly but could be more prompt and attentive; the biggest downside is noise.
Delicious breakfast/brunch options complete with smoothies! Very friendly staff! Definitely recommend!
Great Beer, Great Staff, Great Food, Great Vibes!!!!!!! A cool fun atmosphere to have a drink or two while hanging out with friends!!!!!
Sunday Jazz night is AMAZING. Great atmosphere
Met up with a friend for drinks randomly here at the craftsman last night.. I will be coming back again. Awesome Spot. Thank You.
Had an acai bowl... thou refreshing, the acai puree was soo diluted w berries and ice. I could barely taste the acai.
Popular with locals. Good food and cocktails, with plenty of cozy seating.
Superb cocktails and service, the bartenders here are creative and friendly, and the food menu is great.
Cute artsy cafe/bar with delicious morning coffee, pastries + plays cool music, comfortable seating #localspot
Great ambiance, phenomenal service and good potent drinks!!!
Good atmosphere and drinks, but super slow service.
Live music on Sundays is fun. Cocktails are nice
Cool bar. Great atmosphere and decor.
Great atmosphere great vibes! Carlos, the bartender, is amazing! He is very knowledgeable in his craft, and extremely polite, making sure everyone felt comfortable at his bar!
Great ambience. Could use a better beer selection ! Columbia crowd
They have a kicking spiked ginger lemon tea, the best bartenders, and wood floors on the ceiling man
Some of the drinks were...interesting. But the food was excellent.
The carpenter’s pants cocktail is the way to go. Salud.
As someone who doesnt love alcohol, I appreciate that I could get an iced matcha latte while here with some friends 😄 went on a Wednesday evening, so our large group had some space (albeit, at a long table) and it was not crowded/noisy. will likely be back!
This place is awesome I love it here great food & drinks 🤗😘
Drinks were at a great price place is laid back.
Super cute cozy spot with great prices and menu.
Good Guinness, chill barman and really nice simple decor. This is an Irish pub that isnt an Irish pub. Welcoming, unpretentious, and a place you want to linger. Popular with the students and with the locals in general.
Great drinks, atmosphere and service!
Great cocktails, service is a little rusty.
Only went for the drinks. Cocktail menu on par with the greats. Impressed.
Kind of rude and over price
Good drinks but slow service
Came for the beer, stayed for the Froze
Sunday is fun here with the jazz, and it’s a good neighborhood bar. However, the drinks are bad, bartenders often rude, and it smells in here.
Nice ambience, went for happy hour
Drinks atmosphere and bartender are very welcoming
A delightful, local spot... Really doing things right in this COVID era.
The first bartender a blonde girl forgot about my order because she was busy flirting with one of the jazz musicians, the bass player on a Sunday, the 2nd bartender with full Blackout tattoos allowed himself to go on tab and tip himself thinking i was drunk, Im a verry quiet person and i wasnt drunk and seeing going thru the app was no Acceptable i hope the management will see this and take actions
Vic?
Great service, friendly staff, great environment!
Fabulous Service Epic Prices Coo Sauce Vibe 👍🏿🤙🏿👊🏿
Great food, drink and atmosphere !
I love it here! Everyone I encountered who works here was kind and helpful. And I love the design of the space! EVERY detail was obviously chosen with care. Making the Craftsman one of my regulars.
It was a little too expensive for that location
Cute atmosphere. As uptown as it gets. The rumble of the train, the cute little fires. The drinks are superb, and so are the bartenders. Standard pricing for the most part - its worth stopping by if youre around 125th.
Sunday night jazz sessions are always great for a night out with friends. Drink prices are not terrible and their charcuterie board is excellent!
Turn the music down! I shouldn’t have to yell at the waitress or my friends across the table
It is a great atmosphere, the staff are amazing alway made me feel welcome. 10 out of 10 will come back again
Heather (Red hair, singer) really attentive and great craft at cocktail making. Wonderful service and attention to detail, answered my questions and made extra effort to ensure my drinks were perfect.
Really cool vibe, good drinks!
Live Jazz music on Sundays. Initial set with house band followed by jam session. Quite generous with the drinks.
Irish bar. Frozen drinks, reggae music, Harlem!
Great beer, great cocktails, great staff!
Great staff! Affordable drinks. Great atmosphere for a birthday party. Neil’s suggestion of drinks was PERFECT, just an enjoyable night all around. Thank you!
Drinks that are delicious and good for you. Coffee shop in the morning and bar at night. Healthy yummy food served all day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. I go here sometimes and love the mosaic ipa and the green juice cocktails. So energizing and filled with vitamins!
The go-to spot anytime of day! Their cold pressed juice is always a great way to start the day. The cocktails surpass any other place for a night cap in the area. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always providing excellent service followed with good conversation. Choose any menu item with an open mind and youll be satisfied. Youll soon be a regular too.
Gin fizz!
So great! Amazing service, the bartenders/owners are so attentive and knowledgeable. Best cocktails, and they are so inventive. Brilliant just brilliant
A place to chill and get some drinks, i’ve been here twice.
Excellent place and excellent drinks with a perfect jazz jam session on a Sunday night.
Pretty darn good. Great selection of craft food and beverage options with quality and taste being present in every dish. The most guilt free binge Ive ever had and although its pricey The nature of the offerings and the cost of doing business in NYC kind of justifies that. I was satisfied though. And the wait staff is inoffensive and tolerant at the very least. Just keep in mind that its a smallish space, but it is a cozy subdued vibe. So it can be good for intimate outings.
Their Sunday jazz is always a fun time. Great drinks and great energy.
This is our Favorite Spot in the City to hang out. Extremely dog friendly Our dogs are treated like kings! We come here as a family for smoothies and for adult time for a few cocktails. Come check it out!
A really good place with great drinks and food. Plus they didn’t allow my phone to be stolen! A great place I highly recommend.
Great ambiance, delicious drinks and friendly bartenders. Aron and Niel know how to take care of their customers. Recommended for sure! 🍻
Great selection, great staff, and a nice ambience. No complaints here.
Dined outdoor with some family. Enjoyed the selection of beers and food. The meat and cheese board was my favorite. The staff takes Covid precautions very seriously. Even checked my temperature and took down my contact information to use the bathrooms indoors. Very much recommend And hope to visit soon.
Just ordered the Cauliflower Tacos and it was delicious. Im not a fan of cauliflower, but this dish changed that the moment I tasted the radishes and the sauce it was perfect! 👍😋
Not worth our dollars, these people only want blue eyes, blond hair dollars in there.
Varied drinks menu! Hip spot
Literally the best customer service. The employees are very nice and welcoming. My only complaint is when you try to call, you’re sent to voicemail.
I had avocado toast with everything and in Green Machine smoothie. added my own seasoning. It was good. Low key cafe Atmosphere. I think they sell alcohol in the evening.
Wonderful place everyone that was in this establishment was happy watching the sports games and eating there food. I like this place the food and the people are Great.I will be back for the great tasting smoothly they have.
This place is great. Ive been waiting for this place to reopen. The wait staff is friendly and work very hard. The menu had a few gluten free options for me and my friends said the rest of the menu was delicious. I am looking forward to stopping by in the morning for a coffee and a fresh juice.
Great staff, great drinks, great food! Well priced. I always have a great time there. Highly recommend.
I really like this bar. The staff could maybe be a little more attentive at times but the prices are great and the drinks are tasty. I reccommend the house liquors they make, theyre really tasty and a great value for the amount you get.
What is this place? Cocktail spot? Craft beer spot? Organic juice spot? Spend 4 hours alone on your laptop coffee joint? Yes. All of the above.Whatever your pleasure is, it provides. Add a charismatic and welcoming owner and bar staff ... can’t really ask for more. Except more bars like this.
Ive been coming here every time I visit NYC for the past two years. The bar is amazing and continues to be a hidden gem, but the cafe has gotten progressively worse over the past few months. Tables are never bused, and Ive had to clean my own everytime I arrive. Food orders are consistently forgotten, requiring multiple reminders or requests. Its a shame, because the food and drinks and beverages are good otherwise, but the awful service over time just makes it hard to recommend - even harder to admit as a one-time fan of the place.
Loved the jazz night.
Really good atmosphere and great tasting food. Coctails are well proportioned too.Just know you are also paying for the atmosphere, and that lays ruffles chips are considered a sandwich side
Awesome place but super crowded !
Nice addition to the area. Cool concept and decor.
A fantastic addition to the neighborhood! Delicious cocktails, fun atmosphere, super friendly and talented staff and a sassy Irish bartender! Will be back for sure
Interesting cocktail recipes with affordable prices
Would not recommend. Didn’t enjoy the drinks or service.
Great vibes decently priced drinks and pretty great food. Also service is pretty top notch!!
Talking about feeling rich. And that is probably what makes this place special. The coffee taste wonderful and the environment is perfect for a quiet time. Enjoy it.
Place was outdated below standard the bar tender woman was rude very disappointed food was so nasty finger food shrimp tacos was so bad save your money
Great atmosphere for working int he morning. and at the night a nic relaxing bar to go chat with you friends. I truly recommend it, and their fruit bowls are delicious
Good selection of coffee and craft beers.
Cool place, liked the house sake.
Ordered delivery via seamless and my order was cancelled. Apparently because the restaurant was closed. Should not have the restaurant open for delivery on platforms just to take people’s money. Very untrustworthy. Will not order from here even when they are open.
Cute local spot. Go for an afternoon sandwich. Live jazz weekends. Friendly staff.
Honestly, the food was really delicious— I recommend the cheese and charcuterie board and/or Craftsman Tots for anyone going with friends. However, I felt the service and the drinks we ordered were subpar. Initially a large portion of what was on the drink menu, the thing that made us stop, wasn’t available. For it being our first time, we were consistently asked what we would like to order by 3 different servers (all within a 5 to 10 minute window) without any real initiative to engage us or make us feel welcome. Once we got our food, it seemed that the same three staff members were more invested in 1 table with a cute dog than really checking on us or other surrounding tables. One couple left after just ordering one drink and they had been there longer than we had. My roommate and I were actively discussing how we planned to return and, since we live near by, were telling the remainder of our party to to meet us for our current venture...however, I found it made more sense to pay, leave, and chose from the many other restaurants on the street. Going to give them one more chance, purely for the aesthetics and testing other menu options, but I’m very heavily leaning towards never coming back.
Excellent concept, day Craft cafe, night, Craft bar. EXCELLENT customer service, food service. Welcome to Harlem Craftsman1
Really enjoyed a few cocktails at this new bar in my hood. Happy to see a fresh cool place around the corner. And the irish bartender is hot.
Love this place! Great staff and great drafts.
Great atmosphere, terrific cocktails, great tap selections, warm and super friendly staff. Really nice vibe and only open one week! Its a keeper! Welcome to the neighborhood!
Amazing place during the day for breakfast, coffee, study and hangout. Variety of healthy food selections and courteous staffs
(First Time Visit)If I can give this place 10 stars, I would do it. The place looks so dope. What an atmosphere! The bartender are so friendly and hospitable. You never feel out of place. The drinks are probably the best drinks I ever had. And trust me I know my cocktails. The drinks that I bought that are a must (You have to go in order) is The Immigrant, Under Pressure, and The Craftman Irish Coffee, Loosing my Edge, and etc. As for snacks you gotta have the Truffle popcorn! You have to go to this place to experience a hella good time.
Always friendly, one of the few pubs (maybe the only) to have Smithwicks on draft. Great place .
Really nice trendy space and large selection of juices and drinks! Felt a bit boring ordering just a ginger lemon tea and granola bowl (both of which were good, just seemed a little ordinary compared to all the other good stuff!)
The acai bowl was very bad.
Huge selection of beers and clever cocktails
Ambiance and music are good. The bartender is rude and racist. The service is slower than the 1 line. But it is the only place open at 4 AM in this area. So end up going here a lot. Moscow mule and the popcorn is my suggestion.
This place tops my list for its overall service & quality. Matt, in particular, always ensures the customer has a first-rate experience.
Staff are charming, hardworking and efficient, especially Marie who was our waitress. However since business is booming there should be more staff!!! I love this place.
Pretty okay cocktails. On the pricey side. With decent food.
The atmosphere is great but the drinks are watered down. Came in with a few friends, we got 3 drinks (all different) and all of them tasted the same; like mixed Sambuca. Wouldnt recommend
Really nice place. Great service
