#LoewsRegencyBar & Grill is my neighborhood “#GoToPlace” - Holiday Cheer from Doorman Oscar’s “grand welcome” to Mgr Ivan’s “hospitable care” to me & my party. Chef Alex is back from paternity leave & he consistently takes the time to visit my table to explore choices to delight. He knows I love his squash presentation which we ordered to accompany our steak & branzino entrees last night. Much to my surprise: he had listened to my feedback on his #crabmeat appetizer and last night I experienced a difference in the abundance of crab chunks in the patties-I loved them!! -perfect!! Thank you for listening to ongoing feedback! The best part of our meal was the surprise decadent chocolate birthday cake & tasty holiday sugar cookies! Thank you team Regency!! You have listened to my feedback!I appreciate ALL that you do!!Happy New Year!!PS: A seasoned waitstaff continue to exceed my expectations with welcomes & little touches of service kindnesses throughout our evening!
Over cooked my steak and all they offered was free dessert. That is not even half the value. The dessert was dry as heck and Ive ordered bad pallea with less hassle. I would not recommend this place and I would look for a different hotel to stay at if this is the level of service I have pay for.
Awesome hotel lobby Steakhouse!Great atmosphere with professional staff crushing it everyday.Steak & Eggs - prepared perfectly and served with class!
Absolutely loved the service first off Stefan! Three egg omelette was awesome, I also opted for salmon to be included. Belgian waffle and the breakfast sandwich are great choice’s as well.
I was really excited to go here because I am a big Housewives of New York fan and they always go here in the show. We sat at the bar and had a couple drinks that were ridiculously expensive. Like, comical. Decided not to get food because the vibe was just off. The patrons around us were insufferable. I finally worked the nerve up to ask the bartender if the housewives still come around and I could tell he was NOT happy to be asked that question. Like geez my bad dude, at least feign some interest. Glad I went just to say I did it but I would not go back. Ended up getting dinner at Carnegie Diner and it was fab.
I was excited to visit but underwhelmed by my experience. First, the service was poor. I had to ask for water refills, ask for coffee refills, ask to have my plates removed. Second, two slices of basic, non-artisan cold white toast was $13.00 while 3 slices of over cooked bacon was $14.00I hardly think $30 for that was worth it. The $23.00 oatmeal was cooked in water not milk. lukewarm and crunchy, very unenjoyable. The coffee was served with milk not cream and I had to request that. The eggs Benedict over salmon was good.
Good addition to an East side restaurant wasteland... Very pleasant and more casual remake of the hotels restaurant that we remember well. Nice bar menu of sliders, French fries, snacks. Serve complimentary nuts and popcorn with very good cocktails, done with a fun summer tropical twist. Yummy steaks and grilled fish. Large chefs salad was tasty and fresh. Indulged in cheese cake, chocolate ganache and a heavenly lemon tart among many good desserts!
Great bar and good menu for work lunches and dinners.
Food and service amazing! Henry was very kind and helpful.
Our experience at Loews Regency Bar and Grill was extremely underwhelming, especially given the high expectations set by our stay at Loews Coronado. We were seated and then seemingly forgotten, waiting over 30 minutes without even being provided menus while observing other guests who arrived after us receiving prompt service. The lack of attention forced me to flag down a server just to order a drink. Unfortunately, the service mishaps continued as it took another 10 minutes to receive the wrong beer. This level of service was not what we expected from a Loews establishment and left us truly disappointed.
Disappointing. I don’t mind paying $100/person for breakfast but I expect good food and an upscale experience. Food was $20-good and cappuccinos shouldn’t come in a mug.. overall this was more of a good roadside diner not an upscale breakfast experience.
Fantastic food, even better staff. Beautiful hotel.
From the moment I sat down, I felt uncomfortable, but I thought perhaps it was me being bourgeoisie (I frequent a lot of upscale places in the city). Then, not only did I watch the bartenders have conversations with everyone around me and make me feel invisible, food took forever to come, and I was POISONED! By the time my dessert came, I was too sick to enjoy it 😮💨 I ordered the very mediocre Crab cakes and had to be walked to get in my car due to being ill. Spend my weekend sick and ended up in the hospital. Dizziness, nausea, irregular breathing... you name it. I dont recommend it for people of color especially.👎🏽 Out of over a thousand reviews I left on Google, I never had to leave one like this and hate having to do it, but never experienced this in NYC ever and Im a native Manhattan resident!
Had breakfast there with the girlfriend. The service was rushed to say the least, the waiter/busser tried several times to remove the plate before my friend was even done with the food. The check was dropped on the table while we were still eating our meals. For place like this you would expect to get better service. Or maybe just because we were women as no man would put up with such treatment given the price range for the simple breakfast.
During a recent stay at this hotel with some friends we had several wonderful meals in the hotel. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and I have to say they were all excellent. At dinner I had a salad and crab cakes while my friends had the croquettes and soups and other items. The breakfast was wonderful as well as the cappuccinos. We enjoyed a hamburger and the shrimp cocktails another time. The staff was very attentive and again to have a hotel serve such good food was really a delight.
Just came for Cheesecake and Espresso but great service and seating.
By far my worst dining experience in NYC. The server, Jose, was unusually cold and mean to us 80% of the time. Not sure if it’s cause we look young, we’re POC or both. Couldn’t help but observe the stark contrast with which he served other tables, which were mostly older, white guests. To be fair, the other servers were pleasant. Another issue was on how our bill was seemingly delayed on purpose - we had to ask for it after they cleared our table and after we handed our receipt. I spent $100+ alone and was expecting at least a decent service.
Best part of my stay in the Loews Hotel was this restaurant. They were so much more accommodating than the hotel itself. First day while we waited for our room we decided to grab a bite. The French fries were out of this world , and my son requested them every single day. The avocado toast was very tasty. Steffan was great and provided us with great service. He was super attentive each and every time we went. Thank you Steffan!
Turkey club sounded really good on their menu and when I got it it was 3 layers of bread, turkey, lettuce and tomato and it was very dry. Honestly one of the worst sandwiches I’ve had. I don’t mind paying for food when it actually is quality but I wouldn’t eat this sandwich again even if it was offered to me for free. I’ve never been so unhappy paying such a high price for food and I live in NYC! This is literally my first time writing a review but it’s very necessary!
Eh..The food is okay but not worth the price tag. Grilled cheese for $28.00? Erm. Sounds a bit ridiculous, doesn’t it?The burger is mediocre - bun, patty, bun - lettuce, tomato, thick onion on the side - add to taste. Too boring for the asking price. However the homemade pickles were great. The server seemed distracted...Won’t come back - not worth it.
Good service and food is really good but it is very expensive (even for NYC). I dinned here because I was staying at the hotel and it was convenient, had breakfast daily and it was yummy but not worth the price in my opinion, drip coffee (and not the good kind) was $9!!!
I love this restaurant. The halibut was served over quinoa with sautéed spinach and sprouts. Utterly fresh, tasty and delicious. We had amazingly creamy and cold vanilla ice creme with chocolate syrup. My server Caesar was kind and professional. The manager Ivan passed by to check on us. I highly recommend this restaurant!! BTW excellent cocktails!!! I enjoy the subdued lighting and the booths are beyond comfy and relaxing. Simply a modern classic!!! Make your reservation.
We stopped in for some post-Barneys shopping. Clearly this was a hot spot for such people given the number of other Barnys shopping bags spotted. Cocktails were great although service could be a little more swift as we waited for a while and tables took some time to be cleared.
My girlfriend sat at the bar, visiting from out of town, staying in lovely room 1520, but our experience was spoiled by the bartenders who were swearing and cursing out guests and/or fellow staff, literally right in front of us, within 2 feet. Maybe we needed to be more important for them to be on better behavior, or maybe we simply caught them on a bad night. But, it was offensive and unacceptable. I understand, New York is a tougher type of place, but when youre in a finer hotel, in a finer lounge, paying the prices this bar charges ($25 martinis and up), you would expect better, more professional hospitality. Its a shame because our experience in the hotel was 5 stars throughout, but the bar experience just spoiled it. What a shame.
Amazing food, service definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is really great
Stopped by here while looking for a pub to kill time before dinner. pretty upscale place, Beers were $10/each for a bottle. Nothing special, got 2 IPAs that is widely available.
Had chicken and waffles here (no longer on the menu), and the chicken was completely raw! They apologized and were embarrassed, but it should have never happened at such an expensive/high-end place. It was also really hard to flag down the manager and speak to her. She should have immediately come to our table when we informed the waiter of the raw chicken.
Very attentive and accommodating staff at this wonderful restaurant that is known for hosting the power breakfast or lunches. A great place to get away from the office and enjoy a delicious meal.
Good for breakfast or dinner. Good food and great service.
Meh...not that great at the bar. Had a glass of wine at the bar. Was going to eat, but wasnt impressed. Heard all the employee problems going on in the background. Got the bill from someone who didnt originally serve me and didnt even say thank you as she dropped off the check for a 20 dollar glass of wine. Pppfft... Went to the Plaza.
Delicious crab cakes - they are a must! Service was attentive and friendly. Would recommend
Great bar fantastic Hotel good food right on Park Avenue what more can you ask!
This is really the Power Breakfast spot. The food is great but also quite pricey. Service is passable but should be much better.
Excellent service, top notch French toast, tangy grapefruit juice. Serious atmosphere for business breakfasts.
Food is awful. Service is bad. I would give zero stars if I can. I usually never submit review on restaurants but I felt like I need to review because it was really bad. Not worth your money!!
Amazing food and scenery. The RBG burger and steaks are some of the best I’ve had
Had the burger for brunch, its very good if you ignore the $32 price tag. Good service. I asked for creamy horseradish and they came up with it just for me. It was deliciousness.
Good restaurant, small but well executed menu and good space between tables. Top notch service.
A great bar good selection great service. A good place to start or end your evening
It’s basically diner food except 5 times more I’ve had better diner food as well this is overpriced even for New York City I shan’t be eating at this establishment anytime soon our server was Jeffery
Their Truffle pizza is one of the best I’ve ever had. Not a fan of their breakfast.
Nice bar, great bartenders a good place to meet friends and start an evening
Fantastic people watching, decent old fashioned and fabulous bar snack fare. Got an intimate but comfortable table immediately
Baller breakfast spot for business meetings of merit. Diligent service and accommodating spot.
Great happy hour, vibrant atmosphere, but it can get overcrowded and hot. No AC so not so good during hot weather.
Great service and food was better than expected.
Definitely recommend the crab rolls. Delicious! Friendly staff, delicious food.
Great staff. Decent food. Worth a try.
Upscale hotel bar. Not the friendliest staff but not unfriendly either. Of course the prices are high.
I dont get the hype. Boring vibe. Awesome peanuts and attentive waiters.
Excellent food and service. Thee place for a power breakfast.
Lively place nice food and drinks just very expensive $100 for four drinks
Pricey but worth it. Watch beautiful people
Very disappointing. Food and service not up to Loews standards at all.
Beautiful lobby and bar also great meeting place.
Cozy place with great food!
Drop off a delivery there and the staff are super friendly and helpful..
Nice place. Pricey
Great spot for watching the US Open. Loved the Hampton Rose cocktail. Just around the corner from a number of other great spots, make it a before or after dinner cocktail stop!
Good service. Regular brunch menu.
Great lunch place! Service and food were great!!
Sterile bar with slow service and B-list celebrities, not what it was in Library days
Great food and service, but there is no universe in which a $30 burger makes sense...except NYC, where the city and state make it so impossible to do business that the merchants are required to raise prices like this.
Its upmarket, chic, expensive and frequented by famous and infamous guests. Service is friendly, bar has a great range and the food is fantastic. Come during the day for a quiet drink or meal. Evenings its louder but you can still hear yourself talk. Highly recommended.
UES crowd, pricey, fun place to meet a date
This is more of a place we go to meet with associates or clients. The service is usually good. The one good thing here is the nice amount of spacing between the tables. Theres no crowding here...dont see that often nowadays. The grilled chicken paillard is really good. The asparagus is delicious too. It is a little pricey, but overall, its worth it and again, a perfect place to meet clients.
Decent place for a quick bite. Good selection of whiskies including Blanton ($50 a glass!!) and Rare Eagle bourbon ($28).Excellent service and staff is super accommodating. We asked for a plain dish of pasta with truffle oil and parmesan (not on the menu).
Delicious red wine, flourless cake, coffee! Yummy
Waiter were great but took awhile to get a drink
Your paying for the scenery and the spot to see who else is in the space. Food is good but pricy, but again when you go here your not going for the food.
Sunny makes the best cocktails!🍸 😎
Fork over your life savings to sit and eat among the rich and sometimes botoxed. The bar is the grand central station of power breakfasts, ladies who lunch, and dudes/dudettes on the make. Dress well and sit a spell.
Good service friendly staff chopped salad and turkey club were both delicious
I go to this place as a bar only. I know its also a restaurant, but never eaten there. As a bar, its one of my favorite bars in the area. The crowd that frequents is cool. Beautiful people, nice vibe. Like going there whenever Im in the neighborhood.
Tasty, upscale menu. Good for business.
Great service
Honestly it was so overpriced and underwhelming. Save your money.
Pretty good food and service all around! had some delicious meatballs and tuna tartare mini tacos. the tomato soup was a bit salty though. our waiter was named henry, he was very friendly and recommended some great drinks and dishes. nice place, would go again!
Great breakfast venue: location and setting.
Had some issues. They did their best to make it right. For that I give them three stars.
Had breakfast 8 am on Mon morning. Nice local and service was good. However, breakfast basket had stale (guessing 1 day if not 2 day old) croissants. Not acceptable for such a steep price.
Home of the power breakfast, great menu and service.
Great pkace fir over priced burgers.
We visited just to see if Harry Dubin or Tom was there. didnt disappoint. Can you believe it girls? Its about Tom.
Beautiful place to have a drink and snack
Great service. A very good place to hold a business meeting
Fine NYC type venue. A tad excessively priced at 10 bucks for a diet coke?
Nice, but small, obviously pricey
Food, ambiance and service were great
