Had a smoked cocktail and chicken wings, then the full breakfast buffet the next morning.Smoked cocktail came out in a large smoke filled glass. Pretty neat display.Everything was delicious, the buffet had honey from the apiary on thier rooftop, berries, smoked salmon and all the eggs, meats and pastries seemed fresh.
Bar restaurant inside intercontinental hotel! Breakfast also served here! Buffet breakfast! Good quality are not bad! Recommended
We had a full buffet breakfast during our stay at the intercontinental hotel in NYC . Our waiter was very attentive and brought coffee and juice right away. We went to help ourselves to the extensive buffet. The choices were great. Pastries, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal with all the accompaniments, cold cereal, eggs, bacon, potatoes! More than you could hope for on a Saturday morning.
Located inside the lobby of the Intercontinental hotel. Service is absolutely shockingly bad. I requested a table so I could have a meal and a drink, I was asked if I was ok to wait a minute or two whilst they cleaned a table which is no problem at all. I was then directed to the bar on the end, I said again I would like a table to which I was told it’s very hard to accommodate someone on their own (I was quite taken back by this) then told there are no available tables. We eventually found a table and I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and a beer. I wanted a quick and simple meal, emphasis on the quick part. 50 minutes that took to arrive. Shredded lettuce and lukewarm chicken took 50 minutes. Prices are higher than a typical hotel. I would not recommend this place unless you want some slow, rude and dismissive service.
Location in side the lobby of the international hotel . We came in the nights before we left the hotel , my martini just fine ( not cold enough) only once drink then we left , our served was acceptable is better then staff @ front dest of hotel .
Based on drinks this is a 5 star. Truly fabulous drinks that are expertly crafted. I recommend the beehave tasting flight. However the service in the lounge area is lacking. Bar food was well thought out however did not evoke the same enthusiasm as the drink except the nuts which were amazing. Worth the visit for the craft cocktail flights
We went to The Stinger both before and after a show. The before was fine. I got a Paloma that was decent but not great, and the waiter made me look up my friend’s order of Texas Ranch Water because he didn’t believe it exists. It was the return trip that was truly awful. We were seated among several vacated tables that were covered with dirty dishes and the waiter took ages (30 minutes) to take our order and we had to repeat ourselves several times for him to get it right. The drinks were fine, but took another 20 minutes to arrive. He continued to ignore our section (dirty dishes still there!) and when he finally came to get our order, he needed more help to get the order right. Another 20 minutes for one drink and 30 minutes for the other. Fries arrived cold and soggy. We were done. But he disappeared again, and it took even more time to get the check. Which was the wrong one. I had to go find him in the back to ask for the right check and he argued with me about it (fwiw our tab was higher). He finally brought corrected check, and pointed to tip line and stood over me to see what he was going to get. Quite honestly the worst service experience I’ve had at a bar in decades. The host walked through our section several times and saw the wreckage and did nothing, so I’m not hanging it all on one guy having a tough night.
Enjoyed the Stinger Cocktail Bar and Restaurant for breakfast everyday during our hotel stay at ING Intercontinental Times Square .This was full breakfast, and it was delicious and items were refreshed frequently !!!Also enjoyed all the waiters and bar staff during Cocktail hour and their attention to our needs and making sure we enjoyed our visit and Cocktails were made perfectly 😀Highly recommend this restaurant
They use their own honey, from bees on the roof, for their drinks. Very tasty.
Nice cocktails bar which is attached to our the hotel. Reasonable priced for two drinks. The atmosphere was calm the service was warm and welcoming.
Would give 5 stars if it werent for the high prices. Relaxed environment, near Broadway shows. Fireplace, good wine, and delicious nuts. We returned twice during our 4 day visit, so I guess we felt it was worth the $$$.
Located is the lobby of the Intercontinental Times Square and the Hotel is tucked away nicely around from main parts of Times Square. Booked on a busy night but the service and pace of the staff was impeccable. Great meal, great drinks, and will definitely return. Great location and across the street from a great jazz lounge as well.
Good Food, Great Drinks, Nice Vibe !Roasted Chicken and a Legit Lobster 🦞 Roll w/sweet potato fries.
10/10! The food is delicious. This is the blackened salmon. The cocktails are deeply curated for taste and dazzle. Go there before the show or head over to one of the hottest jazz spots in the city-Birdland!
Nice bar in the Continental Hotel to take a break after had a cold Wetter from the outside.
Very nice hotel buffet. Service was excellent and attentive. Buffet had nice selection of hot foods (the bacon was great!) and the pastry selection was terrific. I loved the croissant. Smoked salmon was a nice touch. Only four stars for food since was light on fresh fruit. Room was pleasant.
Good vibes, great waiters. Mezze better than restaurants in Greece. Club Sandwich great but blackened Salmon fantastic
Good place to sit around and have cocktails before a broadway play ❤️
Ordered the steak and had to send it back as it tasted very strange like a mold flavor. I wasnt comped for the meal. I reordered the salmon which was fantastic, however, I should not have been charged for the inedible steak dish.
The bartender and cocktail server (Alam) didnt know the difference between lagers and porters and not only served us a wrong order, but then told us we were wrong. We showed them that the name on the can was not what was listed on the menu, and we were given a wishy washy answer. In addition, or server spent more time doing his side work than paying attention to the 4 tables he had. I wish we had popped in for a drink somewhere else
5 star review for Eddie who the best server we had!! Made our whole family laugh we would come back just for him!! Had amazing time and also great cocktails and the fish was great.
Table service is good but front of house service just awful, very officious. Just overpriced for what it is, there are plenty of better restaurants and bars in the area.
Lots of people not served after 10-15 minutes.Lack of caring from staff
We knew where to go for an amazing drink and a delectable bite to eat, The Stinger! On our second visit we delighted in the Queen Bee Punch Bowl for 4 and Chunky Lobster Guacamole! Fantastic treats! The Punch Bowl offered plenty to drink for 4, 2-3 glasses each. The guac was tremendously good. The bar atmosphere is fun and it was not overly crowded. Service was friendly and quick. Oh, try the nuts! Smokey, spicy and so addictive. If you are in Hells Kitchen or the Theater District (or near 44 & 8) stop in!
This is for breakfast specifically. We ate here because we get a breakfast credit through AMEX. We waited a few minutes for a table, no problem there. We’re handed a menu and left to sit there. Many people waiting behind us were sat down, explained they can serve themselves at the buffet, offered coffee and water. We just sat and sat and sat. I asked the hostess a question about the menu, she didn’t know the answer, said she’d find out for us and never saw her again. My wife had to walk to a server to get coffee and later on we had to flag someone down to get water, which was met with a dirty look from the staff. The food was good overall, so big props to the kitchen staff. The bill, for a “continental” buffet came with an 18% tip and was nearly 100 dollars. If your Amex gives you this benefit, just walk away and go get some actual good breakfast in NYC.Dinner was good and the server there was awesome.
Nice atmosphere, seems the staff dont care, watched multiple people walk in, sit down, get ignored and leave. Even when I went to the bar to get a drink, the bartender took my order and then returned to her obviously much more engaging conversation with her co-worker. A second bartender then retook my order and that of the couple next to me, he did a least pour the drinks and then disappeared. I waited and waited, so I took the drink and went back to my table. 15 minutes later the rather irate bartender showed up demanding payment.
Stay away from this place at all costs. The service is the worst I have ever encountered. I would have been happy to pay double somewhere else if I was noticed and had good service. Had to flag down bartender for all 3 drinks I had and for my bill. Wasn’t checked on a single time. This place makes IHG hotels look bad for even being associated next door.
I liked the atmosphere. First night the Stinger drink was amazing. 2nd night too lemony. Nice bar tenders. Can get 2 sizes for cocktails. So you can split a drink for less $ versus 2 drinks. Didnt tey food but other patrons raved about fish app.
The hotel allocates a daily allowance (has to be used on the day) which you can spend in the restaurant (not breakfast). We had club sandwiches and a drink each and even with the allowance it was expensive but good. Definitely worth a visit.
Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Great selection of entrees and starters, and the food came quickly. Nice lighting and large televisions around the bar area - very clean place with a cool atmosphere, worth stopping in!
Ideal cocktails location for Broadway area. Service was quick . Food was really good during restaurant week deal. We had the braised short Ribs and Bronzini who were both excellent. ( meal also came with a wine pairing)
ExcellentGreat steakGood serviceGreat atmosphereVery good
The service is selective. Very sad to realized this in 2024, attendants make a distinction as to who will serve the best based on their physical characteristics. I observed this for several days, the blond and light-eyed customers were served promptly while I, who had already arrived much earlier, had not even been looked at. It wasnt just once that this happened...
Great atmosphere! Met some friends after seeing Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Great drinks although a bit pricey....Still would reccomend dropping in!
Excellent service and great cocktail selection.
Stingee was definitely an expensive place to eat, but I enjoyed it. The drinks were pricey at roughly $22 per mixed drink, and the food was similarly priced. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was excellently seasoned. Overall, 7/10. Wont be my first choice for dining. However, it definitely isnt a last choice.
Great dining experience and place to chill at the hotel. Lauren, Sam and Leo are fantastic and super helpful.A good spot to take a break from the scorching NYC heat this summer.
Nice place, good ambience, nice layout, interesting bar menu, very tourist. @thatsraul
Super fun bar in the Intercontinental, love their 2 drink size options, the stinger and the buzz. Happening place for late night drinks!
This place was expensive, but they have great cocktails. Their flatbreads look like pizza, but the crust is definitely flatbread like. It’s not puffy like NY pizza. Would recommend either version of it. (There’s a mozzarella one with tomatoes and ricotta, and a goat cheese one with chorizo). The lobster guacamole was good. Huge chunks of lobster in the bowl (it’s not mixed into the guac, so you can decide how much you want with each scoop). There’s guac and salsa under the lobster head, so remove it instead of trying to eat around it.The cocktails were wonderful. We had The Stinger and The Killer Bee. The Stinger was not sweet, but it came with a stick with honey at the end to mix in or suck on. The Killer Bee was perfect with whiskey, mezcal, and grapefruit.Would not recommend this place if you’re on a budget. The cocktails are $18 each (without tip/tax), and the lobster guacamole is $26. If your wallet can handle it, you’ll like this place! If you need $5-6 cocktails that aren’t as meticulously handcrafted, go across the street to Gyu Kaku.
I had breakfast here with my family. Food are very nice, and staff are very kind. I think the price are reasonable from there service and delicious food. Thanks
Great service!Delicious food!Inside our hotel, so it was very convenient.
Lucky find for pre-theater drinks & snacks. Delicious cocktails made with honey from their Rooftop hives. Lounge-y seats by a fire, relaxed atmosphere and lots of space compared to the crowded and loud other options around!
Smokin Sipper is still one of my favorite smoked cocktails, years later. Food is a little pricey for what you get, but still decent nosh.
Wonderful staff. Ordered flatbread pizza which was very appetizing. Cocktails were on point as well.
The staff was friendly and quick. The drinks were good.
We just went to the bar which is very trendy and nice especially if you need a relatively quiet nice place to relax after the bustle of Times Square. My wife had their version of the Moscow Mule, which she liked quite a bit
Fun people. nice bar menu. Easy in easy out.
Awesome Drinks and Food
Really good cocktail list, and they actually offer a cocktail flight as well, where you can have three small pours of their special cocktails! I had three of their scotch cocktails, which were excellent.
Very expensive bill for a very dry chicken breast. Our server was very nice, but I would not eat here again.
Fell in love with this place 1 year ago w/a co worker. Went back this November to relive the magic and was sorely disappointed. Bar staff was aloof and unattentive. Too hung over and involved in his own convo with his fellow partygoers. Needless to say, wint be back. Heartbreaking as am a HUGE fan of Todd English
Really good service and waiter was professional. Didnt know which wine to choose from, gave me a tasting of both. Salad was fresh and savory.
20 minutes to even get a hello and a menu. Not particularly busy, plenty of staff that was standing around. Not worth the effort, there’s too many other good places around this part of NYC.
Lovely prompt quick fabulous service... No ffof eaten so cant review, but from what I saw from other customers,it looked lovely.
Had breakfast twice and was amazing!!!!
Drinks and service were great. The food was good, although there weren’t many food options and none of the options were very exciting.
Good drinks, nuts were spiced well
Great spot for groups and craft cocktails!
Randomly aggressive server. Would say things that made us seem like he was mad at us and he would pause and stare at us, and we would have no idea what he was getting at. Honestly, every single thing he said felt like a weird diss and like we were doing something wrong but then he would laugh and pretend we were in on the joke when we were basically just silent because we didn’t want to say the wrong thing.
Great place for drinks!
Great food
Sat by this fire sipping on a spicy drink with honey thinking is this what its like to be James bond
Leonardo wad my server and he was fantastic. I will be back next year.
Service is great and quick especially if youre staying at IHG. Also great for breakfast because its right there.
Great food and drink menu. Lively atmosphere
Amazing drinks and a comfy atmosphere. Right by Broadway. Must try the drinks they make with the honey that comes from the apiary thats upstairs.
Love this place! Great staff and excellent service. Work nearby so come here quite often and never disappoints! Shoutout to Paul, Juan, George, Tsering, and of course to my favorite security staff, ever! 😉
Very nice place to relax with friends for drinks. It is in mid-town theater district, so it is on the pricey side.
If you order a drink you get their homemade peanut mix, which is incredible! Dinner was delicious too!
Leonardo is a attentive Waiter. Great service. Food was good.
Nice service, pleasant environment and view, interesting small dishes.
Came for drinks before a show. The drinks were definitely for enjoying and relaxing. Ill have to come back sometime for food.
Nice vibe. Great drinks like this barbee doll.
Very good breakfast and very nice staff. Really enjoyed our breakfast and the hospitality.
Cocktails are awesome! But getting a table is like finding an honest politician
Visited fall 2023A nice hotel bar with quick service and pretty average drinks. This place gets points for providing high quality bar nuts. The drinks were tasty and strong, the atmosphere was quiet but lively. This hotel bar is a great place to visit while staying, but is also easy to just drop in. Everything seemed clean and well organized. Would go again.
Our staff was very friendly and the food was great. I highly recommend the crunchy lobster guacamole
Best drinks we had in NYC! Bees Knees was delicious! Definitely recommend this place!
Very good hotel bar
Very good cocktails, good food, perfect befor catching a show.
Stuff was very rude and unhelpful we was very disappointed we pay a lot of money specifically during Christmas
Awsome place, good food, drink and service
Its seems fancy but its really not. Basic bar in clean hotel.
Great bar with a waspy theme on the drinks! Drop by!
Great service! Cocktails are awesome !! Best in midtown
Good cocktails. Overpriced.
Nice place for a drink before the theater. Pretty lively.
A nice cocktail lounge inside the Intercontinental Hotel. Comfortable setting. Good service. Good apps to go with the drinks. Great place for a drink in Times Square.
Excellent, inventive menu with great service. A real gem in the theater district!
Great whiskey event yesterday.
It is a hotel bar. I will start by saying that. But it is fun, and they dont rush you so you can chill, enjoy, and take your time. The cocktail choices are great. This place is $$$ so prepare yourself. It is right across from Birdland Jazz so I recommend grabbing a drink here before or after you see a show.
Food was meh. Charcuterie board you could have gotten at the grocery store. The yuzu drink was amazing. Too loud, kids and whole families yelling at each other ,when I was expecting an upscale experience, our waiter was nice and friendly but would get lost for long periods of time.
Very nicely presented bar but at extortionate prices. $10 for half a beer
This place is only high tops. A very awkward experience when we arrived with our friend in a wheelchair.
Great service and clean environment. Highly recommened for lunch or quick bites.
They served me the most burnt piece of fish ever. Tacos were meh and lacked flavor. Cocktail was watery & didnt taste at all as described. The only thing good here was the free nuts. A waste of $100.
Nice setting inside the Intercontinental Hotel. Stylish bar. Great location for a drink. Attractive food arrangements. Rather expensive!
This place is very UNSAFE do not go here under any circumstance. If anything happens to you here the security cannot help you. The cameras DO not work. They are simply there for decoration. If something were to happen to you here they won’t participate in any investigation. It says here it is LGBT friendly but it is NOT. God forbid someone puts something in your drink they can’t help you because the cameras don’t Work they will say the footage is small. I am the victim of a crime and they are NOT willing to help me. Also besides the safety concerns. The food is not properly cooked . I had the free range roasted chicken it was blood still in the chicken you can tell it wasn’t properly prepared . Please avoid this place. You will regret coming here. Please save your money and time so you won’t end up how I did.
Ideal location for enjoying cocktails close to Times Square and Broadway. Quick service. Very Good! 👍🏻
Awesome drinks. Service was also lovely.
We have been here twice for lunch. I ordered the Angus burger along with the spicy fries. The fries are made with hot pepper and honey. They are unique and very good. The burger was also good. They have a large mixed cocktail menu which was good. I have a hard time paying $9 for a Miller Lite. Just feels like a rip off.Service was lacking. We ordered another burger half way through our lunch and it took 45 minutes to get.
Service was HORRENDOUS! We had to flag the bartender down anytime we wanted another drink and he took our menu away before we even had the chance to order food…we were planning on ordering their stupidly over priced food but never even got the chance because he never asked and it took way too long to even flag him down we also never got checked on once. Also keep in mind this is when they just opened so it wasn’t busy at all. We had the same treatment the night before with one of the servers but decided to give it another try, our mistake. They just don’t care or are really oblivious. Sooo expensive don’t even waste your money here, go somewhere else where you won’t have to wait 20 min to get a drink/food
Drink was exquisite!!! Staff were very nice
Great place - loved Nic, such great service thank you so much!
We love this place! Glad its open again --- but they just have a limited menu. I hope they bring back the full menu soon. Our server Eduardo was exceptional! He is welcoming, personable, entertaining, and his recommendations were all incredible.
This place is sweet. I wore my Hugo Boss t-shirt to breakfast. I got the omelette with everything. The potatoes were good. They seemed to have a sweet glaze on them which was unique for my tastes.
Christmas evening dinner was a total clusterf***. Only 2 staff serving a girl behind the bar and another seating guests. All were apologetic, but the Manager was no where to be seen.We saw her on the afternoon speaking to the waiters saying if there is anything you need let me know. There was no ambiance, at $85 a head expected at least decent food options as promised, we left after waiting 45 mins to be servec anx went to Smiths Bar which served us within 1 minute and we had food on the table within 15 minutes, at 1/2 the price including drinks.PS At other times we have had great service
Nice upscale - mainly a bar - to step away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Limited, but good, wine selection. Above average cocktails mainly in the $20 range. Service was well below average at the tables for two of our visits (same Server both times). Service at the bar, in contrast, was prompt and lively on our last visit.
Everything was good here. Prices are as expected, beers could be larger
We were staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and The Stinger is located within the hotel. We only had drinks but they were good. Service was good and quick. Great bar area with fire place which makes it very comfortable and cozy. Location is great and is only one Avenue west of Times Square.
45min. and not even a cup of water, service is horrible. I would never recommend this place.
Good cocktails and nice small bites.
Love this spot in the lobby of the intercontinental. Amazing and potent drinks. I love that it’s always empty and usually come here to hang out with people who want to grab a drink but are worried about crowded bars during Covid.Btw, they don’t serve food so grab something before you get some of their strong drinks 😜
Possibly the best smoked whiskey I have ever had, great service and location.
Good option for a drink in Midtown west, casual and comfortable
The service was terrible to be honest, took me 30 mins to order food and 30-45 mins to pay:( the server kept on talking to people at other tables and it was really slow. The entire thing took almost 3 hours and I have to leave not too late in the night because I got work in the morning.
Excellent mothers day brunch
They don’t have their full menu yet, but the cocktails are beautiful and delicious. The Dalliance is particularly good
Great cocktail. Nice NY atmosphere
Nice bar. Food was excellent!
Great cocktail menu, food is good but fairly limited bar selection. Great for after-work drinks or casual holiday parties- the latter of which we were celebrating!
I stopped in here for a pre theater drink around 6pm and sat at the bar because this place looked interesting. It wasnt too busy but it took a long time for the bartender to make his way over with a drink menu. Then even longer to take my order. The rooftop honey is a thing here so its in alot of items. I ordered a Bees Knees and it was tasty, but I had to ask if there were any snacks before the bartender brought over a small dish of honey roasted nuts. I shared them with the ladies next to me because they werent brought any at all and had been waiting for a table for a long time. The drink was $18 and for that I would expect more attention.
Great spot for an afternoon lunch
One of the Mangers got pissed at me for sitting ne t to the fire place... Then apologized.. And tried to offer me free food. Then he says the other waiter said you were cool...... Sorry coming sides ways at me is not a good idea 💡.
Amazing breakfast went there and loved it the only thing is that sometimes the bacon is a little burnt so if you are using the buffet just know that but the jelly shells are awesome
Business event. Cool space. Great food.
Another Intercontinental Hotel well done brasserie. Nice atmosphere and attractive restaurant to visit while staying at the hotel.
Nice cocktails and atmosphere. Smoked whiskey and sweet chili fries were a highlight.
As always great food - good service
Not bad. Didn’t love the drinks but was a great place to grab a snack and drink before our show. Got in and out without a wait for five.
Food was good...but service was mediocre, not friendly, snoby and slow. Place was over designed with weird elements that didnt flow together. Pricey with basic brunch, nothing special.
NY expensive but nice vibe, great service. Drinks are awesome here.
Cool vibe. Good drinks, expensive, and cozy. Service is spotty and could use improvement.
Great drinks worth the price
Great vibe, good selection of drinks and a relatively quiet venue.
If I had to fault it, it might be for slow service. However, the staff is friendly, drinks are interestingly wonderful and the food was phenomenal!
Food was awesome but they gotta increase the team working on the floor.
Great hotel bar with a nice ambiance, attentive staff, and well-made cocktails. Drink the Stinger!
Worst manager ever!!! She’s extremely rude and unprofessional!!! AVOID!!!
Nice, you could hear your friends. If you want a loud crowded place this is not for you
Special drink? WOW...do not miss this place!
Nice bar with good atmosphere. Service was not amazing though
Cool place for socials and get togethers
Just ok.
Nice place to relax for cocktails and lunch.
Nice place amd good food
Exceptional all around.
Service is terrible!! The staff will up-charge your drinks to bump up the gratuity. We waited over 30 min to be waited on and received very poor service. Caution!
Nice!
Nice atmosphere and quality service
Amazing drinks!
Delicious food tasty appetizers
Good.!!
Way way overpriced
Way too expensive...
Best cocktails
Good ambiance.
Love the place
Superb food
I had a cocktail and a beer and it was nice because the atmosphere was quiet and classy. Recommended if you are looking for a quiet bar near Times Square~~
I expected more, we visited many bars and rooftops during our trip and the bar was set high.
Super atmosphere to meet friends for a cocktail and snacks!
