We live in the neighborhood and always felt that this place was very touristy and filled with bridge and tunnel transients. Never really come here because of the above and just how tacky the place is. After Sunday dinner at our favorite local spot, we decided to finally to come here and try the wing special. Not only were we told that the wing special was not available because they ran out, which constitutes false advertising, they then went on to shill their regular wings, which their staff claimed were bigger and fresher, which made absolutely zero sense and was being priced at 17+ dollars for SEVEN wings... Absolutely hilarious and deceptive. I havent been ripped off like this since I was a junior Marine at a car dealership in Camp Lejeune... I will be reporting this to the appropriate agencies.

Nice place to go for happy hour after work but it can get busy. Drinks were delicious but they could’ve been stronger considering the price. The staff was helpful and attentive and the food was very good. But the portions could be a little larger though. Sports were on all the TVs which can be seen throughout both inside and out. In light of the pandemic and circumstances, I do wish there was a little more emphasis on cleaning especially outside (tables) and ensuring that Covid-19 protocols are being followed/in place. Outside there doesn’t seem to be any social distancing procedures in place.

My friends and I got the Oktoberfest pretzel platter, and it was very mediocre and did not come with all the ingredients listed on the menu. Felt like we could have made the same by slicing up some store-bought sausages and scattering them around a plain pretzel. Definitely not worth $40. The waiters were very nice and atmosphere was great, though. They have various board games you can play and the TVs were broadcasting different sports games.

We were there for an early dinner with kids after visiting the Statue of Liberty. We were exhausted so I dont remember much about the food, nothing exceptional & nothing bad. The games occupied the kids while we waited. First, we waited for someone to clean the table; we were told to sit anywhere, but none of the tables were cleaned after previous occupants. I asked 3 different staff members and eventually got paper towels from the bathroom and cleaned it myself. What is it like when theyre actually busy? Then we waited for the food...I would return to this place for atmosphere but not if Im very hungry

This is my second time being here. I came here today (Sunday night) to meet up with friends. We got a couple of drinks and hung out. This place is an outdoors beer garden. Luckily, there are large heating poles that keep the temperature up. It was a cold day (43 degrees I believe) and we were fairly warm and comfortable. The waitress was always checking in on us making sure we were okay. I ordered an amaretto sour it was good, then we ordered French fries (really good) and donuts. The donuts theme was “Breaking Bad”. They were called Walter White Meth Donuts. I loved it. We were all very entertained with the overly large games outside. Giant version of UNO and another giant version of Jenga. We literally spent hours there. I highly recommend to meet up with friends here for a fun time.

Absurdly overpriced (with bogus fees to boot, at least in 2020/2021) and chock full of hipster pretentiousness. This is where you find all the annoying Millenial people from work. They do have a good beer selection and while overpriced (even for the area) the food is good and well presented. Service through no/little fault of the staff is non-existent. The party games are a good idea and go well with the big communal tables. Unfortunately the proprietors (a chain, by the way) accomplish this by commandeering whats supposed to be a public plaza, which they pay no rent for.

I got the fondue burger - lets just say youre better off getting a burger from Shake Shack for a quarter of the price. What irked me the most about this place is that my friend ordered a donut grilled cheese WITHOUT bacon (she cannot eat bacon), and it came with bacon. Were all human and we mess up - its okay. We told the server about the issue and she apologized and said theyll remake it. BUT then the manager came out and told us that that was not bacon but rather burnt cheese. I tried her sandwich before they took it and I knew it was bacon. There was bacon all over it. We could see it!!! Burnt cheese and bacon do not look alike at all. It would have been much better to just apologize for making a mistake in the order rather than lying about it when we clearlyyyyyy knew there was bacon.

The place has a great setup to hang out with friends. So the reason for 3 stars. First is the beers on tap, they barely have any local beers on tap . This is NY its overflowing with brewerys . Now they will say they have local beers in a can or bottle which they do ,but guess what my local bodega does to. Second was my food I ordered the burger with the egg and got a burger that did not have the egg. I hate wasting food so I ate it. The burger was ok but nothing to right home about, it was little over done for my taste as good beef shouldnt be scorched but again I dont know if it is good beef. But like I said great place to hang out and play games.

I got there for the first seating 11:30 am. The lady across from me recommended i try the grill cheese donut which she ordered, however, i was told they werent available. Followed by no waffles available. So i traveled from Queens to Manhattan on a post-surgery knee for nothing in addition to paying 20.00 for parking for nothing. I also asked for mini donuts was told no desserts.

Clinton Hall has a large outside area with heating which was super welcome as New York was freezing when we visited. We had the bagel and soup along with the burger and fondue, both were exciting new takes on classic food. The beer choice was superb stocking prairie, founders from stouts to IPAs. The bar also had many huge outside games to play.

This is a great hang out place with gigantic games to play outdoor, such as jenga, connect four, golf, corn on the hole and chess. Their beer selection is top and friendly service. We will definitely return when visiting NYC.

If youre expecting hip vibes, dont. This bar is definitely children-friendly (good for young parents), but not a place for 23 year olds looking for a fun spot. We went during Labor Day weekend, the outside sign and inside menu said happy hour 3-7, we got there by 6:30 p.m. and thought we were golden. We were wrong. After falsely ordering $7 margs, we were understandably confused when our check was much higher. We asked for the general manager and were met with an attitude about how we shouldnt assume that happy hour continues on the weekends (even though the HH menu is on display on each table with no indication of Monday-Friday). After review of the outside board, it did say in small font at the bottom, Monday-Friday. Unfortunately, a situation that couldve been solved by a simple comp and explanation of their policy, turned into a condescending lecture about how we shouldnt assume that happy hour was going on and how their waiters shouldnt have to say that its not happy hour. Needless to say, we will not be returning. And neither should you.

Id heard the name Clinton Hall for years and finally managed the time to drop in at the FiDi location in December. Upon arrival the inside area was packed walk to wall with people, though the crowd dissipated some over time. The bartender helped me make a great beer selection. I told him I liked light beer and he recommended the #9 Bitburger Pilsner without hesitation. It was delicious. Id drink it again any time anywhere. You have to sit yourself at one of 4-6 large communal tables. Once we managed a pair of seats, the waitress helped us order our food. We ordered the Spicy Double Chick, the Double Smashed burger w bacon, and waffle fries. It was far too many fries considering both sandwiches were served with fries.Chicken Sandy was good but difficult to eat because it was served as two pieces of chicken on one bun. Also there were no sign of fried pickles despite the menu description; only bread and butter pickles which are generally terrible.Double Smashed Burger was awesome. Had a great aesthetic to match the taste. No complaints here other than the bread and butter pickles. Think of a backyard BBQ burger but elevated a bit.Waffle fries were nothing special. Way too much queso, made the fries insanely soggy in addition to overpowering any other flavor profile.Got the doughnuts for dessert. They were hot, fresh, light, and fluffy. The injectible sauces werent very intuitive, but we thought they were tasty.Since this experience, Ive also been to the Midtown location on a football Sunday; that was a blast. Happy I got to this Clinton Hall but would need a different ordering strategy next go around. That grilled cheese looked insane, maybe youve seen it on IG before; thats what Id get if available.

Leaving a 2 star and not a 1 as they greatly reduced the bill knowing how badly they screwed up. Took a bit for our acknowledgment and ablility to place an order. Our order was not written down. Messed up as messed up as can be! Was told the menu has typos, when weve been to Clinton Hall before and very well know the food. We barely touched our food. Waiter literally lied to us several times, with a snooty uncalled for attitude as well. 2 games were broken too! No comparison to the Williamsburg location. Would never return & do not recommend..

Beware Under new management!!. Awful food. Awful customer service. The manager was picked off the street to manage this place. The new owners should know this manager chases their customers away. He has no conflict resolution skills. My salmon burger was not even a salmon color, because they mixed it with so much tuna. I had to search for it in between the buns because of its size, and it was dry. Someone who cooks knows thats its basically impossible to dry out salmon because of it fat content, further proof this was mixed with a white fish. Manager stated they are not a German beer hall, hence they discontinued the schnitzel...but the umbrellas indicate otherwise and they have German beer on their menu. What hypocrisy!! The other meal was a Classic hamburger. For this classic hamburger they did not have tomatoes or fresh onion slices. The lettuce was a few strands of wilted green. Yet an other hypocrisy. Go only for the beer but even that is questionable. They even dare to call themselves gastropub. Wow. Ive been to gastropubs, this place is NOT of such caliber.

Most of the times i come I enjoy this place. This time around they was a guy at the bar that was loud as ever. Nobody would say nothing to him he just kept going on and on. It cool to have fun with your friends, but come on this guy was over his limit the bar tender knew it. Everybody knew it. To top it all off. I order Donut soup. Ive order this everytime I go. So I know how long it takes for them to make it. The waiter for got to put the order in. My wings came out my date and i finished them and played a game of big card UNO and still was waiting on the Donut soup. The waiter saw me looking . I saw the waiter go to thw back and ask. Than they made it quick. When it was ready the donut fell apart before it got to the table. So they made another one without telling us. Im looking right at the kitchen so i see everything going on. The whole time this is going on. The waiter never came and explain or apologize for the wait. Which i felt like they should had. We did enjoy the soup. It was my date first time in NYC and i just wanted to show her a great time. So not sure if i will be back. Just a bad day.

Stopped in after standing in a chilly line waiting for the TKTS to open on a Saturday in February. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a tator tot waffle bun intrigued, so I ordered. Presentation was stellar and after biting in, its all my fav breakfast foods, so it met expectations, just in a different look, however what put it over the top was the siracha mayo...dayuuum! It had it a nice kick without overwhelming the flavors of the rest. Great cup of coffee rounded out my brunch. Thoroughly enjoyed this unexpected treat!
