Been a busy Sunday brunch. Beautiful environment ( keep in mind it is an outdoor space) but covered and very warm. I like the decoration also. Food was very tasty and well presented. Drinks was fair enough for their price.Service was also good. The level of the noise was to loud to my opinion but in total was a very good experience. The prices are very reasonable.

Food and drinks were really good. One of the best Dominican owned restaurants I’ve been to. Great service from the entire staff and a super chill atmosphere.i ordered the oxtail with yellow rice with a side of sweet plantains. I will definitely be back.

Food was excellent. Arrived very quickly after ordering. I had Pollo Guisado with coconut rice and beans, and it was very flavorful and tender. Service was excellent with the food arriving very quickly. Came two days before Christmas and the very warm interior and tropical atmosphere inside were quite welcome on the cold winter day. Wanted tres leches cake for dessert but they were out so I had a delicious brownie instead. Will have to come back another time for the cake!

I came to Santiago’s Beer Garden with a group of 8 friends, and we had an amazing experience! Carolina was our waitress, and she was absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, she was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect for our table. She handled our large group effortlessly and with a smile, which made the afternoon even better. Carolina is hands down one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had! The food, drinks, and atmosphere were fantastic as well. We’ll definitely be back—thank you, Santiago’s, for a great afternoon and a big shoutout to Carolina for making it unforgettable!

If youre on the hunt for some killer Dominican food in a fancy setting, youve got to try Santiago’s Beer Garden. I swung by for Mothers Day and seriously, the place did not disappoint. The food is absolutely delicious—each dish bursting with flavor and just the right touch of authenticity that makes you feel like you’re dining in the heart of the DR.Service here is on point, too. Despite the holiday rush, everything came out fast, and the staff was super attentive and friendly. It really made our celebration feel special.Just a heads up, though—the space is a bit on the snug side, and the bathroom situation is tight, which might be a bit of a hassle when it’s busy. But honestly, that’s a small price to pay for such a fantastic dining experience.All in all, Santiago’s Beer Garden is a total gem. Great vibes, amazing food, and speedy service. I went on a Friday afternoon for brunch. My third time coming to SBG. This time I brought my mom, cousin, and sister to celebrate my mom’s 66th bday. The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, hot and fresh as usual. The drinks were good as well and our server Genesis was nice and accommodating! I will be back again and again! Great gem in the heart of Spanish Harlem! Great vibes, ambiance and music too! We love SBG!

Food was tasty but not served as specified. e.g. steak was made well done when it was requested medium rare, then it was sent back and came back medium to medium well. Drinks were okay. Service was lacking, our server went on a break and didnt communicate with anyone to come take our entree orders which had us waiting some time after our appetizers were eaten and plates cleared. We had to get up and go their work station to request service.Additional note: their chairs arent very comfortable.

I’ve been to this establishment plenty of times and it never disappoints. The food is exceptional, the drinks are good and the vibe and music are great.

The food here is really REALLY good! I’ve only had the pernil and coconut rice with black beans (they have two kinds). Literally THE BEST pernil that I’ve had at a restaurant…I didn’t even need the green sauce that I asked for! It was very flavorful without being overly salty! It was perfect really.

Appears to be good food, I was eager to try and give it a shot with my sensitive stomach. When I was waiting to be served while I got skipped by everyone behind me… yes why ask me to wait to take my order and begin to service everyone behind me? So after 4 people skipped me and the guy who ask me to wait. Never came back… I was asked for my order. Never got to try the food anyway… the people going in here to order was really rude and lacks there off… and even if the food was good… or you get a large rice portion for 10$… or 15$ if you think that’s great… your not missing out as is not really healthy. Thanks but no thanks.. I can go get a pound of rice anywhere.

Had a great time today at brunch! Went with some girlfriends to celebrate our friend’s birthday and we were not disappointed. Staff were extremely accommodating especially Genesis and Winner! The food was delicious and affordable! The mimosas were perfect! Can’t wait to go again!

Went on a date with my bestie and it was super cute. The music volume was good, the service was quick and the food was 5/5.We ordered the Trio empanadas(chicken/beef/cheese) & The Jalapeño poppers to start with. The crust on the poppers were PERFECTLY crisp! For the meal we ordered the baked chicken w/yellow rice and beans. The oxtails were fall off the bone good and paired with white rice and beans. We had an amazing Mother’s Day Brunch at the outdoor seating area. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating especially since we were a little late to our reservation. The food and drinks were amazing. We started off with the empanadas and fried calamari. They were fresh and well seasoned. The Mojitos were on point as well. Not too sweet or super strong. For the entree we ordered the oxtails with coconut rice with black beans. It was a great portion of food, tasted divine and was very filling. Carolina our waitress was great. She was very attentive and got our food and drinks in a timely matter given the busy Mother’s Day event. Will definitely return again and will recommend to friends and family.

The ambiance was top knotch, service amazing and food incredible! Im sold on their Agave wine they use for mixed drinks. It was a great dining experience and the oxtail were cooked to perfection.

The food here is amazing, I went for brunch. Reminds me of food from the DR. Music is good. The only negative I have is their policy on requiring everyone at table to select bottomless drinks. I had a friend who wasn’t drinking at the time (personal reasons) and it felt very uncomfortable having to defend her. They eventually allowed it once they asked mgt., but this really shouldn’t be a policy. Overall, good! I’d come back.

I am starting this review with some direct advice if youre really hungry and come to eat right away for the food wait time for the food is 45 mins or longer. came here on to separate occasionsanditss 45 mins till your food arrivesato the table, make sure you arent in a rush, and stick with beer and wine. We came here tonight for dinner with a reservation, From the photos, Santiagos Beer Garden (outside) looks humongous, but in reality, its actually quite small. Our table was wedged in tight between two others, but thankfully, our neighbors were really nice.Drinks: we ordered a mojito, margarita, and sangrita. All three cocktails tasted like straight-up juice. The strongest drink we had was a Presidente beer. The food was ok. Nothing to brag about did not have the wow factor. Service from the waitress was great she was fun and entertaining. Beautiful place inside definitely imstagramable

Everything is sooo good. Love the staff, energy and all the food. Me and my hubby love to come here to get the calamari, chicharron, oxtail, churrasco, & passionfruit cocktails.

I ordered the bacalao with the yellow rice & red beans with a side of avocado. We had a pitcher of passion fruit bellini. Everything was good, the vibes, the decor & the food. They took us without a reservation. Only little issue was that we were seated at the tall tables & there was a leak from the roof that occasionally getting me but otherwise, everything was good.

We pulled up for a table of two with no reservation and was seated immediately. There’s a happy hour on drinks . The drinks were good and were all All beer / wine infused . I had a spicy margarita Which was good . All the drinks. Came in plastic cups and they offer plastic utensils as well which I liked . The staff wore mask and were very friendly and welcoming .For an appetizer we had the chicken chunks but it went so fast I didn’t get a pic. That’s how good they were ! Lol for dinner I got the stew chicken with yellow rice and beans which was good as well . The food was seasoned well and not too salty . The portion was decent .They have a bunch I definitely want to return for that .If you’re in the area don’t hesitate!!

Our beautiful server, Genesis, was pleasant & professional even when I couldn’t figure out what I wanted. Food was amazing & I am vegan so that eggplant option was so on point. Went for brunch and the space was so nice. There’s a clear sun roof so we got natural light and it was a plus considering we were indoors technically. Bottomless is $25 pp mimosas or Bellinis. The mimosas were good they weren’t light handed with the pitcher. I got the roasted pernil with rice and beans and my friend got the fried chicken chunks with rice and beans. Ordered a side of avocado to cut through the deliciousness of the food. Our waiter Anthony was really helpful with ordering and the rest of the staff were also pleasant. Definitely going back to try other dishes!

Been dying to go to this hidden gem,and i was not disappointed! I made it a little before 4pm so i got the $25 bottomless mimosa deal for 1.5 hours. All the food was delicious, the standouts were the cod fish and yuca fries! The ambiance transformed you out of east harlem, with the murals and plants; even though you are outside with a roofto cover you: there are fans everywhere. The cherry on top was how amazing and attentive our server was, Amyn! You really dont find servers that make you feelcomfortable and make you feel welcomed. Alsohis co-worker Daniel came over and made us laugh. All in all go here!

The spot is super cute, they play great Spanish music! Had a great time with friends visiting from PR. It took a little while to get our food so be patient , but man it was sooo worth the wait. This place deserves more than five stars. Everything was perfect. Service, food, drinks, ambiance 💯Perfect for groups and they accept reservations which is a huge plus if you are planning your celebratory shots to be served by the sweetest folks. It’s super chill and vibe is awesome, can’t wait to go back for more!

I was impressed by this small storefront Dominican restaurant! I walked by and noticed a lunch take out special. I ended up getting the Chicharon de Pollo with White Rice and Beans. I look forward to visiting them again and trying other items on the menu!

This was my first time at Santiago’s and won’t be my last. Nice cozy atmosphere, with good food and drinks. Our waiter Jose was very attentive and answered all our questions, and we also got a chance to speak with the restaurant manager who was working overtime to make sure all his guests had a wonderful experience.

I LOVED this place. Really yummy food and nice drinks. The best of all is the service. Really attentive and genuinely friendly staff that made the experience perfect. I had a couple of cocktails on happy hour and a main. It felt reasonable for what I had price-wise. I’ll be recommending to friends that visit NYC.

Food, drinks, service and atmosphere are all great. This isnt a knock on the restaurant but this place is pretty expensive, probably one of the more expensive places Ive eaten at this year. I enjoyed the food so it was well worth it.

We had the sweetest server! The restaurant was busy but she was fully engaged with our very large party as we were celebrating 2 birthdays! All of the staff was accommodating. There was good airflow (lots of fans), cozy atmosphere and GREAT food! I ordered the Salmon with veggies and tostones, my husband ordered the beefsteak, my littles had roasted chicken and my older son had the porkchops. Flavors were on point. We are all picky eaters and loved the food. I totally recommend stopping here when in the city.

Came here to celebrate my friends birthday.. I ordered the roasted pernil with white rice and red beans with a side of avocado.. the food was good the beans tasted a bit plain... And was brothy.. and didnt have much beans.. and my passion fruit mojito were great! The service provided was good.. felt they couldve been more attentive at one point our whole table needed refills and no one came around ...but thats okay as it was a bit busy.. would definitely like to come back to try other drinks and different foods on their menu..

This was my second time eating at Santiago’s Beer Garden. Last week I dined inside the restaurant. I really like the decor. It is an Amazonian tropical theme tastefully done.I don’t speak (much) Spanish, but I had the fried chicken chunks with rice and black beans. It was a plain meal but the presentation was so gorgeous. They added a beautiful white and purple flower that reminded me of an orchid but I’m not sure if it was. The meal came with a delicious tangy sauce that I poured over…everything 😂Although it’s a beer garden, I don’t drink but had a really delicious house made lemonade with a splash of passionfruit in a stemless martini like glass. 👌🏾Anyhoo…I liked my food so much that I ordered again, but decided on take out, this tine. Instead of the chicken, I ordered the fried shrimp with a medium side of white rice and a medium black beans and LET 👏🏾 ME 👏🏾 TELL 👏🏾 YOU👏🏾That was THEE BEST shrimp that I have ever had! It was SO well seasoned, after every bite all I could do was shake my head it was so delicious! The black beans were creamy with a nice gravy consistency. They were seasoned very well, and I got a surprise potato chunk that was so tender and creamy that I tried to savor that bad boy to the last drop while I ate. .Now—If you get a chance to try Santiago’s Beer Garden, I hope your experience is just as good as mine.Lord knows I hate to talk about how good my food and experience was and now you have these super high, unrealistic, expectations and are underwhelmed or the cook has an off day when you visit. TikTok made me do it, and oh my God, the food was amazing!The music?? Makes you wanna get up and dance, and the drinks were awesome. They also offered us free drinks. I definitely wanna go back and try different things from their menu. Plus the lady that helped us was really great( forgot to take her name)

This place made me feel like i was back in DR, the music was great and love how the place is decorated. Not a fan of the drinks and also they could be served in cuter cups. but they did have enough alcohol to get you tipsy. Food was good, I would definitely come back.

Took me awhile to go here & let me say it was worth it! Drinks, food, & service was on point. Had an issue with a manager where he thought my friend was an employee and demanded he do something even after my friend told him he doesnt work there. The second interaction with that manager was when it was brought to his attention that the restroom was full of vomit and clogged and the managers reply was “Thats y we have plungers for”. Wether my friend was an employee or not, that’s not how you address anybody. My other friend brought it to his attention and the manager later apologized atleast and everything got better from there. Our waiter (tall light skin spanish guy) was very attentive and provided an amazing service. Aside from that I give this location 5 stars! Can’t wait to go back again.

Came here with a couple of work friends for a Saturday Brunch! It was LIT (well our table & the people next to us were a vibe) lol Our server Carolina was AMAZING!!!! She made SURE we were having a good time & kept the mimosas coming!! Lol food took a VERY Long time to come out like 40 plus minutes. They should give complimentary chips & guac or something because we were starving. Food was great though and seasoned well!. I love this place staff was very friendly and great!

Uber driver COMPLETELY destroyed my food during delivery. Amanda and Staff was eager to fix this matter. Although I had to pick up the order, it was ready when I arrived. Food and quality always fresh and on point. We got fried shrimp, chicken chunks with coconut rice and peas, chicken soup👍🏽

DONT EVER DO THE PREFIX MENU. 1. They ask for $50 per person for rice beans, a limited meat choice, one non alcoholic drink (no refills), a dessert NO DRINKS! (You have to pay an extra $28 for mimosa ) THATS IT! The food is usually good here, but the prefixed meal seemed rushed. Out of Our party of 10, not one liked their meal. It was a meal you can get at any local restaurant for $20.In total you pay almost $100 per peeson (tax and gratuity included) WITH NO ALCOHOL BEVERAGE. Which is INSANE. Im an avid foodie who goes all over nyc for bruch, and on an average you can have brunch for two for $200 with bottemless drinks for less.So yes we were 100% dissatisfied and dissappointed. My last time there.

Was there for my parents 54 year anniversary.Staff was very attentive,food was delicious. The place has great AC and lots of fans.The bathrooms were clean. Great place for big groups and couples. Great Spanish music play list. Some old school music too.

I was excited about the beer garden. I think that Santiago is more like a restaurant with some plant decor, making it feel like an enclosed garden.. it is very pretty though. There is no bar area seating. Couldnt find any beers on tap. Should say somewhere clear on the menu that the beer is served in a can / bottle. Ordered a beer, and then it took a long while for someone to check on me, even though it wasnt that busy on a Monday. Ordered empanadas. They tasted all right. Didnt understand why they were cut in half?

Everyone was so nice our waiter Daniel was amazing and was so accommodating. I would recommend this place to all my freinds. We came here for my friends birthday and she had so much fun, the drinks were amazing, the food was even better.

Good value for money. The gambas al ajillo were perfectly cooked, and the portions were substantial. The sangrita cocktail was also delicious.

I was charged $30 by Resy for my reservation because the host staff didn’t confirm my reservation, though I spent nearly $70 on one meal and drinks. I have called 5-6 times since my reservation and have not gotten through to a manager. Do not make a reservation here unless you want to pay +$30 on top of your bill and have to deal with the hassle of fixing it. at this point, I’m starting to think they do this on purpose because it has been exhausting trying to get my money back. Incredibly frustrating and sours the entire experience. Give. Me. My. Money. Back.Edit: happy to say that after submitting this review, my call was finally returned and I received verbal confirmation that I was getting my money back. I gave them my email to request written confirmation (that they had offered me) but heard nothing back. Management does not seem to be sufficient in communication. Nonetheless, after nearly 2 hours cumulative time calling, researching dispute procedures, and correspondence with my credit card company, I was only offered my money back. I still stand by my review, if you do not want to spend more time resolving the issue caused by eating here, go somewhere that doesn’t penalize you for dining in their establishment. Not worth the hassle.

I imagine this restaurant/beer garden attracts a lot of business. The atmosphere gets a thumbs up, the music was great, They have a beautiful outdoor seating area that’s full of color and plant life! The food was brought out quickly, I only waited about 10 minutes. They have a nice variety of drinks. To eat I had their “Garlic shrimp and moro con coco” because it sounded appealing. I was so pleased with my order! I don’t eat seafood much but I must say that these garlic shrimp were finger-licking good! Overall an amazing experience, can’t wait to return :)

That place is literally a mess, the costumers service was terrible and disrespectful, we call the manager and he just give us excuses and excuses without help. The alcohol drinks has no alcohol and food tastes nasty and like they reuse the oil to fry it . Get it together and learn how to listen to the customer and then Speak . Don’t RECOMMENDS AT ALL . $200 dollar waste on drinks and appetizers for bad customer and nasty food .

First time being here and I would say I did really like the food. It was amazing, the drinks were fantastic and the servers were very sweet and welcoming. Only issue I had was when one of the customers directly next to me had a dog and it kept barking and sort of ruining the vibes. I honestly thought it was inappropriate to have a pet there and from the dog’s lack of training I knew right away that it wasn’t a service dog by any means. Maybe it’s a pet friendly restaurant? But still wouldn’t be an environment I would want to be in. Regardless I still loved the food and everything else.

I went a year ago and I didn’t love the experience nor was it memorable, I tried it again yesterday and I absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and the bottomless brunch was a lot of fun. Glad I went back and tried it again. Thank you so much for a lovely time.

Carolina was the best server I’ve ever had

I really wish this was a better experience her with my friend that was with me because I only really liked the appetizer which was the calamari and the drinks are overly priced to be so small and the pork chops my friend had was very hard like a rock who in the world is gonna eat that so she took it back. The chicken and rice was okay it had a little flavor but it’s nothing to rave about it didn’t have the taste that will make you wanna go back and get it again. I was disappointed in the food i and drinks I really wasn’t expecting this experience the customer service was okay and I don’t know if they was rushing because it was late at night with the food but I know for sure my homegirl wasn’t having it and she took that plate back and didn’t wanna eat anything else cause I know she may have been skeptical if they would get mad and no one can see the kitchen and the bathrooms need improvement. The place is small and the atmosphere is nice could have better customer service late at night for some of the workers not all. Other than that I was expecting a way better experience because I was talking so much about going here for a while and then this happens.

The one comment is that it can be loud due to the volume of people. The hostess was nice and we started with the mofonguitos and drinks. Both were delicious and would recommend trying both. As for the main course, I got the pernil with coconut rice and it was blown away. I normally dont get impressed with the food of my people, but here, the taste was there at every spoonful. The pernil was tender and delicious. The dessert was good, typical dessert. I would come back, 11/10!

We started out brunch with pitchers of Coconut Margaritas.. ask for extra coconut pieces if you are into that, it added an extra layer of delight.Amanda the GM, deserves special mention for her exceptional service. She ensured that our glasses were never empty and that our orders were promptly taken care of, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal.We indulged in some appetizers, including crispy calamari, trio de empanadas and mofoguitos all which were well made and served to perfection. For the main dish I had the churrasco which was perfectly cooked to my liking, and the Moro con coco was delicious.Overall, my experience at Santiago Beer Garden was nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to return, perhaps for happy hour next time, to sample more of their delicious offerings.

Lovely atmosphere and super friendly servers. Nice drinks, too. Unfortunately, I was saddened to discover that my only vegan options from the entire menu were white rice, garden salad with a side of plain sliced avocado. The rest of the vegan friendly sides like French fries, maduros, tostones, yuca fries, etc. were compromised since they couldn’t be cooked separately from the oil used to fry other animal proteins. Honestly, to be established in NYC and not accommodate for this basic dietary request, feels unacceptable at this point. I hope this changes but if Santiago’s Beer Garden doesn’t make adjustments to their kitchen and their menu, this restaurant could potentially struggle to grow and thrive in this ever evolving city.

Went for a birthday Brunch Saturday and we were a very large group. Maybe 20. They made sure we were taken care of from beginning to end. Always attentive. Food never late drinks on time. Sorry I cant remember our server but she was awesome. I had the stewed oxtail falling off the bone yum with coconut rice (it was black rice could not taste coconut but was delish). We ordered shrimp, calamari and epanadas ❤️ I just recommended this place to someone else and would definitely go back. Thank you. 🥰❤️

The food was absolutely delicious. We waited at least 1 hour for them to tell us they didnt have pernil or oxtail. But the churasco steak was delicious. And they made up for this by giving us delicious empanadas and dessert on the house.

They have a really dumb rule where if you’re whole party isn’t here, they won’t seat you. There were 5/7 of us here and they had us miss our table and wait 30-45 minutes. They took long to bring us our food so I don’t understand why we couldn’t sit and hold our table until the other two people got here. Our waiter, Carolina, though was the HIGHLIGHT of our dining experience! She was amazing! Super friendly, always checking up to see if we needed anything. Really great service from her end. But the restaurant needs to change these arbitrary rules.

The time we had was unexplainable amazing. Not only was our server professional but also also welcoming, but also made all of us feel comfortable. Santiago’s is one of my favorite places to eat in NYC. If you don’t know about this gem you should get acquainted. This is my third time visiting Santiago’s and I usually drive over a hour to get here. Some may think that’s extra but NYC is me and my fiancés get away a lot of the time.When you get there you’re greeted instantly and I love that. The aura of the reaturant is a garden vibe and the music is upbeat and loud enough to vibe too but not so loud that you can’t enjoy conversation. The staff is A1 and attentive. They were quick and friendly.The food was yummmmy as usual. I had the salmon, mixed veggies, and tostones. The salmon was cooked perfectly. My fiancé had the oxtails with yellow rice and black beans along with sweet plantain and sliced avocado. The oxtails were soft and flavorful. We also had the fried calamari and the empanadas for an appetizer. So good. My favorite drink is the Pina Colada. I mean it is so good and they are generous with the liquor in the drinks. Trust me you’ll love them.Make sure you check out this little gem located in NYC!

Pull out one of the toilets and just give more room inside.The seats hurt during dinner after awhile it’s tiny wooden chairs not good seating if your thick or larger then average sizeThe mule drink was great had two. That stew chicken really tasty nice flavors. My partner liked the oxtails. Pretty establishment and the service was great our waiter was professional. Went for a birthday brunch with 10 people, the restaurant was so accomodating and sat us right at our reservation time. They were so friendly and got us started right away with their mimosas. We ordered appetizers before our meals, and everything came out quickly and was delicious. We loved the vibe, great music and lots of fun art and greenery on the walls. We would definitely go back to eat again!

I came with my two friends, and once we walked in we were impressed with the decor. The menu options are so good, I wanted to try a little bit of everything! This place is awesome! the food, ambiance, staff, and cleanliness. The first time I visited, was in 2019 with both besties and we really enjoyed everything. My cousin made reservations for 8 for my visit in April and when I arrived the place looked so beautiful. The new decor and added seating area outside made the place look like you were downtown instead of uptown. El Barrio needed a place like this because I can see they are consistent and consistency will keep people coming back. The manager was attentive to his patrons and staff. Greatly appreciated. Im visiting from VA again next month and reservations have already been made. I cant wait!!!

I just ordered food from them and when it got here, the soup I ordered was missing. If it were just the one time, that’s fine. But I’ve ordered from them for years now, probably around 6 times. Almost EVERY single time, with one or two exceptions, the order has came incorrect. When I just called to talk to a manager, all that happens is the phone goes to voice mail. In the past when I’ve called, I get met with extreme attitude from the ladies who pick up the phone and say there’s “nothing they can do and to take it up with Uber for a refund then just reorder”.While the food is good, it’s ridiculous that there are that many blunders. If I’ve experienced this that many times, I cant imagine what others experience. Good food also has to be matched with good service and reputation, and unfortunately half the money I’ve spent here just ends up refunded from missed orders.

We were served by Danielle and she was fabulous! We came without a reservation with our daughter on a hot day to grab some quick food and it was excellent. The empeñadas were lovely and overall the food taste like home made food. Not to mention they have a great brunch/happy hour situation. Cute small place with lovely people and service. 10/10

The beer hall felt like a festive backyard with tons of plants, lights, and artworks. Great drink menu with solid deals during happy hour. The staff was friendly and attentive. I actually left my card and had to come back. The waiter, bartender, and manager were incredibly helpful and were able to locate and return the card to me. I will definitely recommend this place.

The food and costumers service is trash, the empanas was trash, taste like old oil, the martini was trash and make without alcohol at all, we paid $200 just for empanadas, crispy shrimp and 3 martinis, don’t come here

We celebrated my brothers wedding! The food was delicious and our server, Genesis, was the sweetest and most accommodating. We were a large group and she was patient with us as we figured out logistics and even cut our cake and served it. She ended our celebration with a shot on the house. Thanks girl!!

Great place. Amazing vibe and delicious food. One thing that could’ve been better was the service. Everyone was very friendly, and there were zero issues with the staff’s attentiveness. I think the problem was a lack of organization on the waitstaff. It wasn’t very busy when we came but there were a few things that went wrong.First it took 15ish minutes for someone to come to our table after we were sat. The server was really apologetic once he realized we were waiting so long. Very nice server. The second problem was that they forgot about our dessert, and we had to clarify what we ordered with another server who came by to check on us. The third issue was that they added an extra drink to our bill that was meant for the next table over (we got a corrected bill after telling them).We’d definitely go back, it was a good experience overall. I don’t think the waitstaff communicates with each other enough, that’s my only suggestion.

I made reservations to bring my husband today June 18, 2023 (Father’s Day) for brunch and when we arrived, I was told my table was on the sidewalk/street because I chose “outdoor” instead of “standard” when the reservations were made. While I was waiting outside to resolve the issue, you can smell the sewer and people smoking weed on a balcony/building next to the restaurant.This is the 3rd time I come to this place and I’m turned away. Mind you, I’m coming all the way from New Jersey!!! This place is so overrated, don’t waste your time coming here. The food can be delicious but if you give me bad customer service, it’s OVER. They didn’t even try to accommodate us, they said that I can wait 45 minutes and see IF someone cancels and the hostess walked away.Third time coming here and didn’t even get to go inside AGAIN! That is def a sign. Never again!!!!!Giving this place -0 stars.

The food was okay, I had the Churrasco rice and beans. The steak could have been seasoned more. But it was tender and cooked good. The atmosphere is nice and intimate especially during lunch hours very quiet with Spanish music playing in the background . The only thing that was uncomfortable was the seats. I would suggest adding cushion to the wooden seats. Service was nice as well and very fast. We also had no salt and pepper on the table. I would suggest adding that to the table as well.

When we walked in, the place was empty besides 2 tables. We said we had reservations at 1pm, but we were missing one person. They felt it necessary to remind us that we only had 90 minutes, even though the place was practically empty. (And not to be picky, but there was a table sipping on mimosas for much longer than 90 minutes.)The food was good, worse than it was before the management change, but still good enough to come here again. The beef stew was a little dry and not much of a stew, but the french fries were crispy and delicious and the drinks taste great (though they are a beer garden, but they don’t have a variety of beer). Our waitress, Genesis, was extremely inattentive. We had to go up to the bar and ask for multiple things, including seat changes, as one of our seats was blocked by their decor. She was only really helpful when our particularly formally dressed friend walked in late.The bill ended up being $213, which for four people (one of which only ordered a side) made absolutely no sense. One entree is maximum $20, and we got one drink and one shot each.We also noticed they added a 20% gratuity without telling us, which is only supposed to be 18% for a party of five or more, which we obviously are not. Of course we asked for an itemized receipt, but our waitress hesitated to give it to us. Turned out, one shot was $8 each, which is absolutely insane pricing. It wasn’t special or anything, it was just a smaller-than-average-sized shot. It’s crazy how easy it was for them to charge us money, but how long it took to explain what they were actually charging.

Went for a Saturday brunch. Was seated right away at a high table that sits 8 people. We sat with 6 other people (3 different groups of 2). Didnt expect to sit so close next to other people/couples that you could be all in each others conversations, but it was what it was so we gave it a try. Almost left because we waited 15mins before we were acknowledge which was weird because at this congested table of 8 the waiter served the couple to my left their food and bought the party of 2 to my right their drinks, took their order and walked away. Some time later when he came to refill the couples drinks to my left he then ask Did anyone take your order yet? Are you serious? This is obviously your section, you know you didnt take my order. We order the chicken bites, they were mad dry, the Maduros dry and not ripe. Empanada were good. The Oxtails & the other entrée we ordered was ok. Drinks were good. The atmosphere is a good vibe. It could of been an off day for staff & cooks based off of other peoples reviews, may try again.

I went as part of a party of 8 and I have to be super candid. The restaurant is beautiful, and the manager on duty did an amazing job of making up the slip ups. Our server was super polite and was attentive without being pushy however The food took forever and when it arrived it was cold, tables arriving after us were receiving their food. I had to send mine back because I couldnt overlook it and my side of avocado took even longer to come out. Our drinks took long to come out as well. The food is extremely delicious and every business may have an off day. I see so many great reviews 😕

Great food, got the churrasco and eggs and my friend had the shrimp and rice. I arrived early to see if I can get seated as it was empty besides only 1 party dining at the time, however was instructed to sit and wait outside until my friend arrived…When we were getting seated, I reserved high chairs but was initially brought to the low chairs until I asked. We got seated and everything was fine, music was mainly Spanish until the end of our brunch when they played more variety. The restaurant was also starting to get more crowded around 2:30PM. We did the bottomless and as were finishing our last pitcher and paid the bill, we were told by one of the servers that the “manager” said our time was up and another party was arriving pretty much rushing us to finish our drinks; there were several seats near us that were empty. Servers were great and attentive for the most part, just thrown off at how we were suddenly rushed to finish which I didn’t appreciate…

My wife and I came here to celebrate my birthday yesterday. We ordered bottomless mimosas for 1.5 hr (only available before 4PM), which were great and strong. We also had mozzarella sticks as a starter, for the main course I ordered salmon with tostones, and my wife had oxtail with moro de coco. All the food was extremely tasty and we had so much fun. The decor is really pretty, and our server was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Kassandra was an excellent waitress/server! She was very attentive and patient with my friends and I, even when we slightly overstayed our table time. She was engaging and friendly! She is the main reason I would ever return! The bartender Nelson was also very friendly and helpful, as well as the manager (with the pink hat!)(Admittedly, there was one staff member that was a bit short with me in tone, and overall stony, which I did NOT appreciate)The setting is relatively small, so definitely make a reservation before going, and be on time! The food was okay and a good portion (I had the oxtails) and the drinks were very strong. Music is lively and really creates a safe brunch setting despite COVID.

The experience outdoor seating was horrible the service is super slow and waiters to really long to bring food as well as drinks. Beers where hot and food was cold. Food was so cold I had to take it to go so I can heat it up at home. I was not impressed or satisfied with anything at this place well not be going here again. I have a better experience in my own home

We had made reservations for a table of 4 and preferred inside seating because their setup was what intrigued us. Our hostess was very accommodating and sat us 3 hours before our reserved time, because we couldnt find any seating at our preferred time.For a place which has Beer garden in its name, we really hoped they had some beers on tap. All beers here are served in bottle. The place was relatively busy at 1 pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We ordered the Empanadas Trio ($13) for starters and they were just ok. We also ordered the Mozzarella Sticks ($12) which we could not finish.For mains, I ordered the Sin Carne Rice, Beans & Maduros ($16). The food didnt have much of a strong flavor that would stand out, but everyone on the table liked the maduros which did get polished from my plate. The beans were ok and the rice felt quite dry.A few things that we were not that impressed about included a tiny mouse that ran past our table grossed us out, not so attentive servers/waiters, and just having a single restroom.Overall, we did have a good time with no major issues!

I had the best time! The food was amazing, atmosphere and management was amazing! They hosted my birthday and accommodated all my needs. It was truly a blessing! Matthew, the owner was attentive and on sight. He also made sure that my party was happy and satisfied. This was such a great birthday! Santiago’s is the place to be! You won’t be disappointed. Where do I start?! had an amazing time ! I’ve been to this establishment and each time the experience gets better and better. The food is ALWAYS delicious, the drinks are great and it’s always service with smile. I want to take a second to shoutout Franklin who was an amazing waiter and made sure that my friend and I were taken care of throughout the duration of our time at the restaurant. He was kind, charismatic and on point with his food and drink recommendations! The ambiance of SBG definitely makes you feel like you’re relaxing somewhere on an island or a beach. For my first time outdoor dining since the Pandemic began, it was an absolute pleasure. You can guarantee that I will be back.

This place did not disappoint! From the food to the staff to the energy, my bf and I loved it all. I recommend going for brunch. The mimosas were amazing. Our food came to our table quickly and the staff was very nice. This is now my new go to spot!

Its really pretty inside, the foods good you can tell they know how to cook Spanish food, it wasnt super busy when we got there but we waited over an hour for our food, never got our appetizer, and when our food came out they left one of us waiting another ten minutes for their plate which we all felt bad about so we waited. I think we just had a bad experience.

Food was good. No major complaints on service. Cool plant wall art. Music was scream-over-the-table loud. Tack on a 4% convenience fee & call it taxes. Then I watched the manager berate a worker who had the nasty job of cleaning up a puke job in the (only) bathroom, shoulda been thanking her!! Who over-served the alcohol?? (And mind you, yelled at her so he could let scantily clad women off the street into the bathroom, but had let me, paying customer, stand there waiting for the bathroom until I gave up waiting and went back to my table. Yes, there was still puke when I went in). Will not be returning.

Sub-par, super small portioned plates, and horrible drinks and all over-priced. Extra sides cost $9. The sangria was cranberry juice. First and last time I visit. At least the decor passed... barely.

This place absolutely blew my friends and I away. We chose Santiago’s based off of the reviews and it did not disappoint. At first it seemed like things could go south after being served watered down drinks BUT it was quickly rectified and all the staff were accommodating as well as friendly! The FOOD had flavor for days. I had the skirt steak and it was mouth watering. They cooked it perfectly! Once our drinks were fixed we ordered a few more. Certainly left Santiago’s Beer Garden full and buzzed! The only real down side was the warmth inside the restaurant. It has a green house vibe and the sun was beaming which made it terribly hot. But overall great experience and would be back.

Place is great! Well ventilated, spacious and good vibes all around. The floor manager, Genesis was super accommodating and lovely. The other servers were great too. Highly recommend for groups.

I came here yesterday and I had an amazing time. The customer service was amazing, our waiter Jonathan was so nice and helpful and contributed to our time, truly amazing. The food was 10/10, I had the chicharrón with coconut rice and LOVED IT!!!! Definitely will be coming back soon.

AN ABSOLUTE GEM!!! we had a large party and from start to finish, Santiagos was a great place to host a birthday family dinner. Food was delicious. Oxtails fell off the bone. William was our server and he was phenomenal. Great location. Outdoor seating was heated. Beautiful interior. Highly recommended answer will return!!!!

It could be a nice place.They have inside and outside dining. My group dined inside and the chairs are uncomfortable, they allowed people inside with their pets (dogs and its not a large space) very unsanitary. The food was decent. I didnt particularly enjoy my order but the rest of my party enjoyed theirs and we ordered many different things off the appetizer and entrée menu. But its a cute space they can transform into a nice spot.

I stumbled upon this place by accident because I work around the corner. So yesterday eve was the 1st time going. I will start with the positives I love The ambiance décor and vibes in this place. The host Kimberly was very nice She Made every effort to get us a reservation inside on a busy Friday summer evening. We were Quickly seated when my friend arrived.Now I must say the music is way too loud here Its not enjoyable to be screaming While having dinner and youre sitting side-by-side with the person and also trying to hear what the waitress is saying vice versa. The waitress I think her name was Jessica long dark ponytail a lot of tattoos she was not the friendliest ,at least to us because she barely cracked a smile. She also didnt know the menu very well in terms of how food is prepared or the wine list she could not explain much of anything. I ordered a side of beans because she didnt tell me the coconut rice already had beans in it she actually said it does not come with beans and she brought the beans out close to the end of the meal didnt even apologize or offer to Take it off the bill. My friend has food allergies and one thing the waitress did make sure to let the chef know and told my friend so she felt comfortable. At one point my friend and I were screaming at each other so much to hear over the loud music, I asked the waitress if they could just lower it a little bit And instead of saying that she will ask she was seeming like it wasnt possible so I told her to please ask And it seems like she did because they lowered it just a Tadd bit. this is not a night club the music doesnt have to be blaring for people to enjoy themselves I think it should be at a conversational level.Ending on a positive note here the food was very delicious well seasoned and filling.We enjoyed it very much. Drinks were okay but please serve everyone with a glass instead of some with plastic cups.I will be back here but I will not have the waitress again and probably will sit on the sidewalk to avoid the very loud music.

Yesterday I went there for brunch. The food was very good and came out fast. The mimosas and Bellini had a very sour taste almost like it was expired. The waiter was very nice but he kept disappearing. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would return but since I live in NJ and it was just okay I will not be coming back. Also there were a lot of flies.

Food was incredible. We started with the empanadas and the fisherman boat (fried shrimp, calamari and plantains. So yummy. We also enjoyed the oxtail with fried chicken. Everything was so seasoned and delicious. Will be returning

Once seated appetizers calamari, empanadas and chicharon de pollo were good. The following were lacking mojitos weak on mint &liquor. Coconut rice had zero coconut flavor. Would not return,

Dear Santiago, I hate your chairs. Many of your customers look like instagram models and those chairs are not suited for their big ol booties. I could not stop thinking about those chairs. So loud inside and waiter visited me only twice during my stay.Water comes in baby portions. I brought a bottle of water on the way back to the car. If getting drunk was the goal for this visit, it would of been mission impossible. I left full but not satisfied with my visit. Disappointed

I reserved a table for brunch for 3:30pm, still had to wait about an hour outside, we finally got seated at 4:32pm. The calamari and mozzarella sticks were good. The entrees took about 2 hours to get to my table. Not only that but my food came cold. All of our food arrived expect for my husbands. He ordered the white rice and beans with chicharron de pollo, instead of informing him that the white rice ran out and if he wanted anything else, they served him yellow rice which he does not eat. The staff talks to each other terribly. I won’t be eating here again.

The ambience of this place is amazing, food was great with great music. The only thing I’d say was the service could’ve been a bit better. I waited quiet sometime to get served and it was difficult to get the waiters attention to even bring the check over. Despite this, it’s a great plAce.

Great spot, our server, Anthony, gave great service to my large party. Anthony was very knowledgeable about the menu and super helpful. I had the oxtail and it was super flavorful.

Came on a gorgeous Saturday. Low-key vibe with ample seating. Service was always quick. Decent selection of beers and cocktails (all made with soju). We tried the sliders which were simple but flavorful. A lot of other guests had food that looked and smelled delicious. Prices are fair. Would definitely come back.

It was the besttt place for a brunch day . The food was phenomenal and the service from our server Daniel was the best . He was very friendly and made sure we had the best service . We were always with a refill it was the best experience! If you go request Daniel one of the best servers ever !!! My birthday twin !!!

So I was meeting my girls for lunch here. One of the girls made the reservations for 12pm. When I arrived I found parking a little distance, on the street. When I walked in I seen my girlfriends and joined them. The spot wasnt that big but they did their best to socially distance. Our server was Cassandra and she was pretty good.For drinks I ordered the sangrita and it was very tasty and had some kick to it. The girls ordered the same and liked theirs as well. For my entrée I ordered the oxtail with yellow rice. That was tasty as well and very tender. The girls ordered different things and I didnt hear a complaint. Everyone finished their meals as well so that was a good sign. The cost was about $350 including gratuity and a service charge. All in all we had a good experience.

The food was delicious, staff were accommodating, and the ambience was nice! Only downside in my opinion is that the brunch is a bit pricey compared to others. Bottomless option for drinks was $28 per person, the food was separate from this. Additionally, all individuals at the table had to participate in bottomless option. Other than this, a positive experience.

The best service EVER! Staff were actually so sweet and amazing. Food was 10/10 delicious!! The outdoor area to sit is gorgeous and nicely decorated. I can’t wait to go back and bring family and friends. Don’t hesitate to come here!!

To me, as much as I didn’t drink, I didn’t get the sense that this was a beer garden. In fact I saw no beer being served. While it is a relaxing space, it felt like false advertising.

Been here twice already and it’s always a good time & food. The music playing is always a vibe. Appetizers & the meal are delicious. Being there makes me feel like I’m literally in Dominican Republic. Management & the servers are great, the food is quick as well and super fresh. I’ve had the empanadas as a appetizer, the churrasco with shrimp as a meal with tostones. The side orders are big, great to share. I bought my mom a order to go of moro with eggplant and she really enjoyed it. My significant other, had the fried shrimp and maduros with rice and beans and also enjoyed it. It’s a lot of food so try going when your hunger is steady rather than starving. One of the best things about Santiago’s beer garden is you’re able to make a reservation. Walk ins are welcomed but you’re better off just doing a reservation just so you have a secure spot. A lot of people I know also have gone during brunch and it’s very popular on tik tok so it’s def worth it

This place is super cute and really small. You must be vaccinated to be allowed inside. The waiters and bartenders do not wear mask. However, they are vaccinated.I came in with a party of 8. Theres a bunch of rules. A limit to how long we can sit. If you want the bottomless mimosas, the entire table has to get it. We opted not to.Overall the ambiance is cute. They have a clear roof but with plants and fabric covering it. The decor was nice. Its cute, cozy, etc. They dont allow you to request any songs. So you are stuck listening to whatever the bartender plays.The waiter was so patient. He was super busy!! He had to take care of people inside and outside. The bar did move alot slower then we would of liked. We did wait long periods of times for drinks. We were seated right next to the bar so we could see him on his phone or hanging instead of making the drinks. That was a little annoying.My mom drive the waiter crazyyyyy. And he was so sweet and patient. I really give it to him. There were periods he was overwhelmed and forgot some items, etc so my mom wasnt happy. However, he rectified it and got us what we needed. He did good.I ordered myself a Passionfruit Margarita. It was realllly good. The remaining people at the table ordered beers and moscow mules and mimosas. All good.We ordered a whole bunch of starters. We got the cheese empanadas (dont order. It wasnt good at all). We ordered the broccoli and cheese tots, OMG so good, order this. We ordered the shrimps, sooo delicious, get this. We got yucca and regular fries, both delish. We ordered the fried chicken chunks, so good too.Overall, this place is def worth a visit. Especially if your in the area. They have outdoor seating for anyone whose non-vaccinated or wants to seat outside.

The reservation time is not as you book. We made reservation for 3:30, we sat at 4:52pm. You will be waiting beyong reservation time. The wait time for the Food was so long we had to order three apetizers of calamares, mozarellla sticks. French fries, the mojito was done baddddd. We all left it at table is not the mojito we know! We ordered white rice and we were told no more white rice, and given yellow rice, also the beans looks old for days. It is a cute lil space, very noisy, nice vibe though. Basic Latin dishes but they must throw love in their cooking cause... yea.Perfect sized portions. My experience was recent; we were a group of five people, and the company was going to pay for lunch for us. The food was amazing; good taste, quantity, and presentation were impeccable. What I would have preferred was that they made a charge of 30 dollars as a SERVICE charge, on top of the mandatory 18% tip, but on top of that, when we received the receipt, they asked us again to leave tips. Are you telling me that apart from the fact that I am buying from you, I must pay for you to serve me, you charge me the employees tip, and on top of 60 dollars in tip and service charges, are you going to ask me for more tips at the end of the service?

2nd time ordering takeout from Santiago’s the food is good but they can’t seem to get their takeout operations right. 1st time I called multiple times both number listed on their site to put my order in and no one answered. I walked over and had to put in my order directly once I got there, it took 15 minutes. 2nd time I put the order in via their website. I arrived 20 minutes later. The staff is looking all over for my food after I gave them my order number. Then a restaurant worker asked how I ordered and did I place my pickup order on Uber I said no I ordered pick up directly from website over 20 mins ago. They then picked up a iPad and was like oh we just received your order now. I almost canceled my whole $45 order. Because I just wanted to pick it up and go back home. Instead now I have to wait 20 more minutes for my order to be prepared. Santiago’s if your restaurant don’t utilize the website order function delete it. Take out Staff seems all over the place and unorganized. There was about 5 people working on the take out side. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t be aware when all orders come in from all outlets from takeout/delivery/pickup.Oh P.S : when I ordered red beans they give less than half of cup of beans and the rest is bean juice. I hate to write such a bad review for this restaurant but I had a really horrible experience with two of the waitresses. One decided to pour the rest of the Bellini in my friends cup as a way to tell us to hurry and leave. Even though we had only been there for an hour. After we mentioned this to the waitress, she went and got another waiter who had an even worse attitude. To avoid further conflict, we decided to leave. As I was leaving, she said a few nasty remarks, then dipped her hand in a cup and threw water at me. Most workers at this restaurant saw this and only chose to laugh.

Originally I wanted to give this place 0 stars. Since I arrived there my experience was just horrible. However I have to say the manager did try her best to accommodate us.1. I called to make a reservation the day before for 7pm. The girl on the phone told me “great please try to arrive 10min before”. No problem I get there and my reservation never made it to the list. Then according to them the best they can do is put me on the wait list which was a 2 hour wait. This was fine I’m not going to stress it. Friends and I went to a local bar to have some drinks while we waited.2. Two hours exactly we walked back and we were up next on the list. We were sat right away (AWESOME) The manager offered first round of drinks on the house due to the mix up. Which was nice of her and totally didn’t have to do that. Which we all appreciated very much.3. We order our food and drinks. Drinks comes out right away however I was glad they were on the house. They currently don’t have top shelf liquor due to their liquor license so the drinks were watery to my taste. But they try to make it work. Then about 10 minutes later someone comes to inform us that they did not have pollo guisado (stew chicken) and yellow rice! That they had run out. So my friend had to completely change her order 🤦🏻‍♀️4. Food finally came out for two people in the party. My food never came out and one of the plates had the wrong side. After waiting and waiting I proceed to find the manager. I explained to her the situation and once again she offered drinks on the house and that she was going to find out what’s going on with my food. (Churrasco and Yuca fries) A few minutes later she comes with my food.*** the churrasco was super cold and the yuca fries were nice and hot and really good. ***Over all the hype about this place is not worth it. The two hour wait is not worth.I do however appreciate the waiter, the hostess and the manager. They were all extremely nice and not rude. The manager did try her best to accommodate us. So shout out to her.

The place was beautiful, food was great, service was great. Our server Carolina was attentive, professional and even adhered to all our needs. We told her we wanted grilled shrimp, which there was only breaded on then menu and she made sure the cooks made us the grilled shrimp. Fast service. The drinks were in point! Bottomless mimosas where amazing!

The venue is really nicely decorated, I was excited to eat there and have a drink.The service we received, however, a different story. Extremely slow, and a few servers ignored us outright. The food is tasty. The three stars is because the service was not good.
