Awesome time at Frames bowling lounge for our staff holiday outing of 12 people. We ordered the package for 15 people which included a variety of food options. We chose sliders, wings, empanadas, nachos, margherita flatbread and fries. All of the food was delicious -especially the wings! 👌🏽 Good vibes all around. The service was excellent too - especially our server Angel who kept checking on us constantly and refilling our water and drinks. We followed our fun time in bowling at their karaoke lounge too.
It had a nice atmosphere, a great vibe. The food was good. The drinks were good overall, a fun place
First the good: very good winter special deal. 2 hrs bowling, 2 beers or wine and pizza and excellent chicken tenders all for $47 total each including tax and tip: the servers were also excellent. The bad: terrible phone service. When I tried calling several times i got voicemail. Left message no return call. When I did get a live person, Scott he was very rude and not helpful. Their phone system you get disconnected every time and can’t hear anything. When we arrived to check in I was once again rudely treated by Scott who looks like Michael Moore. Never even looked up to greet me or even look at me. when I exited the door on the port authority side to meet one of my lost party I got locked out. when I tried to get back in I got blocked by another rude worker as if I was trying to sneak in. When I pleaded for them to let me back in the bartender said once you leave you can’t get back in. I said it would have been helpful to have been told this from the beginning: he countered with “ you should have asked” unbelievable rudeness! Not sure why all this rudeness with overall good experience.
Very fun bowling alley in a relatively convenient location. Nachos were delicious. Pay attention to happy hour specials. Service was slow and inattentive. Possibly because we were in a large group and they tack on a mandatory 18% tip, so servers have little incentive to make an effort. Nevertheless, we had a great time.
Compared to the UK its pretty pricey however it was well worth it for a slice of NY life. Brilliant service, great food, great drinks and a really entertaining place. Definitely worth a visit 😍
Buffalo Chicken crispy outside and juicy inside, sliders and fries were delicious. Great place for parties and loads of fun!!!
Fun experience, food and drinks were quickly served. Staff was a bit rude but otherwise a pleasant time. Would recommend.
Super disappointed with this place! My friend celebrated her birthday here and sadly I woke up sick to which they refused to give her a refund for 1 person out of 13! Would they have preferred me suck it up and show up sick? Make it make sense!
Great place to spend an hour or 2 on bowling. Its located inside of Port authority but you can enter from 9th Ave. Food is a bit pricey but still reasonable for the area. Drinks start from 7 for beers and cocktails are around 15. Minors can stay up to 8pm.
Love this spot. Nobody seems to wear the shoes and nobody cares. Also they’re usually a bit short on staff but it’s always a good time as long as everyone is chill.
Loved it here, will definitely go back. I was an hour late for my 2hr reservation and they called to check in and when I got there I assumed we would just only have an hour to play but they took it upon themselves to push my reservation back an hour so I would get the full two hours, I was so appreciative, and they accommodated my extra guest. The food is simple, drinks are good it could be stronger but I don’t think they want people slipping and falling down lanes. Music was on point, very clean and the ambience is super dope 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!
Last night I was there with friends and colleagues, the food was great and games were great as well. If only the packages were less expensive if you want to bowl for three hours and unlimited food
Amazing First Bowling Experience at Frames!I visited Frames for the first time to try bowling 🎳, and it was such a fun experience! I came with my sister and brother-in-law, and we all had a fantastic time. The place has a great vibe, and the lanes are well-maintained, making it perfect for beginners like me.The food and drinks were another highlight. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the delicious options available, which made the outing even better. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.I’m already planning my next visit and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend Frames to anyone looking for a fun bowling experience with amazing food and drinks.
Had an absolute blast at Frames Bowling Lounge during our staff appreciation event! 🎳 The ambiance is lively with a mix of bowling, games, a bar, and even karaoke. We stuck to bowling, but what truly stole the show was the food. The pizza? Simply delightful. And those Buffalo Wings? They get an A+ from me - no exaggerations! The whole experience was top-notch, and Im eagerly looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend! ✨🍕🍗 #BowlingNights #FramesLoungeMagic #FoodieAlert
Convenient spot to go bowling with friends or on a date. The food is also pretty good! There is also a lounge area if you want to hang out before or after.
I FEEL LIKE I WAS ROBBED!It was fun bowling with my friends and all, but I paid for the black tie so my 17 guests (almost $1800) didnt have to worry about buying drinks. The waiter, however, kept bringing out 2 pitchers of margaritas instead of taking drink orders. There was a beer tower I didnt ask for and nobody drank so I definitely overpaid for alcohol. The MARGHERITA pizza that was allegedly meant for a party of 7+ was a teeny, tiny, mini childlike pizza that looked like only 2 adults could eat. Then trying to have 6 people bowl per lane (they gave me 3 for that price!) was annoying.Considering the black tie came with a half platter of food per lane, plus and I paid extra for 2 diff FULL platters of food to feed that many people only to have my guests ending up buying food because everything came out on tiny plates just like the pizza! The positive was being with the people I love AND the DJ though!!! He brought the house down!!Oh and re the response from the owner to a review I left on Saturday 7/13/24 when I was already having trouble getting through the day of my event is beyond hilarious!!!! I. still have yet to hear from anyone there...and it is Thursday, July 18!! LOL! I wouldnt have a job if I ignored my customers that way.
Nice, fun place! There are lots of things to do, depending on what you pay for. We had a premium pkg that included open bar, food, bowling & private karaoke room all for a few hours. Spacious place & clean bathrooms, a plus for me. Had a great time & would definitely go again! Great idea for a small group of friends or family.
Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. The set up was great. We had the unlimited food and drinks package. Our server Jermaine did his thing. He made sure we wanted for nothing and kept all the guests satisfied. His service gets a 100/10. The food was good and the drinks were strong. After we bowled, we spent an hour doing karaoke. That was also a good time. I definitely recommend Frames for a good time with friends.
Frames def the vibe! It was a group of us bowling and we did the private karaoke room which was dope. The wings and fries were top tier but drinks not so much! They watered down everything they served and argued with u when u asked for a few splashes more. We also played pool. I think I saw a ping pong table as well. The dj was on point too we danced all night. I def recommend checking them out!
Pretty decent place in Time Square and right to the back of Port Authority Bus Terminal. I went there for a private event and we had the entire bowling alleys, bar and karaoke. Food were just fair, and drinks were good though. Having good time and good place to host private events for 200+ people.
1 Hr 55 Min Bowling, Shoes, 2 Standard Beer, Wine, Well, or Soda Drink Tickets per guest and 1 Half Platter of Margherita Pizza & Chicken Tenders per Lane for $39.95 pr. guest; and let me tell you those chicken tenders were so bomb I would pass on the pizza and just get the tenders. Staff were super nice, they have karaoke area, and game area as well (you do have to pay extra to be in the gaming area) but its definitely a nice vibe especially with the live DJ playing some bangers! The game area has the huge Jena game, connect 4, ping-pong, and tvs to watch the games. It is 21 and over so you definitely got to bring your ID! They will NOT let you in if you do not have your ID. If Im in the area again I would definitely be back!
Frames made my birthday really amazing. The price was worth every penny , the staff was so helpful and sweet. The food was tasty and the drinks were really good. I would surely recommend.
I went here for a team outing back in December 2021; youll have to show proof of vaccination, but masks are not required nor enforced when youre bowling. Our group ordered lots of food, great selection of appetizers, and drinks made the night really fun!
Very cool place to bowl a few rounds, grab a drink (full bar) and dance! Whole vibe feels like a club that happens to have bowling, ping pong, billiards, Jenga, skee-ball, table shuffleboard, and comfy leather couches.
Okay, this was pre-covid guys. Super fun night out!! Can we go back? Like right now? My friends and I really enjoyed our time here! Bowling + good food! What more can you ask for? Make sure to visit this place!
Fancy, pricey and faulty. The place provides decent experience with price. Food proportion is good for party. One of our two lanes failed more than three times in the limited two hours play. Balls are not in the good shape. Maybe I expected too much for the price.
Awesome Place, Lackluster Website - This was such an amazing experience. Really chill ambience, just great for taking pictures. Bowling was nice and the crowd was respectable. The pool tables in the back can be better lit and one table was ripped. (Either fix it or dont charge for the compromised table). But bowling is the main event so not a huge issue unless you came for pool alone. The buffalo wings and Fries tastes great but some may find it too salty (at least the batch we received). Restroom facilities were clean; much appreciated. - The Website UX/UI is difficult to navigate and the payment page gave trouble. I submitted payment but it gave an error.... it did NOT give a confirmation code via email and still charged the card! So what is the point of trying to reserve a package? Thankfully walk-ins are welcome but you may need to wait 2hrs for a lane if you come at peak times. All in all a great experience and the staff were quite helpful. Id definitely visit again.
Great place, great time! Went with work, boweled and ping pong, everything was great.
Really cool bowling alley with great drinks. There are pool and ping pong tables as well.Great vibes!
The staff is very nice and they are very respectful . I loved the drinks ! (They’re strong ) and the food was delicious as well ! It’s definitely a nice spot and well cleaned . We had a great time here and I loved their playlists of music ! The only downside is they’re overly expensive on somethings BUT don’t let that ruin your fun here ! Just If u go here do it as a group that consists of 5+ people not 1-3 people . And the main area doesn’t do happy hour (which I find is weird , EVERYONE should be able to get happy hour not just one side )
The cocktails are strong, the equipment and the furnishings are in good condition. The service is great. One awesome thing is that you dont have to wait for the shoes rental - you can just pick a pair for your size from the conveniently organized cubby holes. Two things I dont like are:1. Lighting. The lights over the lanes are frequently dimmed to match the music videos that play on the screens over each frame. This might help the mood and stuff, but makes it hard to aim, actually.2. Balls selection. The combinations of weights/holes sizes are quite few. If you prefer a ball with bigger finger holes but dont want it to be a 15lbs block buster, you have to ask the desk, and even then the success is not guaranteed.
Firstly, I reserved a spot at 8:30 online and the confirmation came back with 8:00 spot with no warnings. I called the front desk before arrival to ask if I can postpone and they say no. No accommodation and flexibility. No refund if I cancelI ended up going 30 minutes late. AND the bouncer is very rude, keeping us while just one of our friends had photo ID. I get it you dont accept photo ID but no need to yell at us and drag us outside to see the piece of paper that no photo ID is accepted. The front desk also kept us and wasn’t preparing the lane for us. It costs us about 30mins of playtime and no extension was given. This place just wants to eat your money. Very bad service and rude. Would never come back and never recommend to anyone.
The worst experience ever. They are still holding my money for a non-confirmed reservation.I booked 2 days before my event (Sat May 25) for 12 people, it was a birthday celebration for my husband. They decided to lock my money from my account. When I booked they gave me all the available options to book and I did.Even though I never received a confirmation email, I assumed I was all set since they were holding my money. When we all arrive they said they cannot find my reservation, they don’t see anything!!! That I had no reservations with them. I asked them to release the money from my account and they said they can’t because they don’t have it. So how if they didn’t have it, were they able to take it and make it a pending transaction? Now I started a claim with the bank and it will be resolved in about a month. We all left the place and went to another bowling site, much easier, and convenient.Do not go to this place, do not book with them, they don’t care about their mistakes and their shady booking process. I have almost $400 out of my account and they are “not responding for anything”.They ruined the whole experience for me, my husband and my group.
Id have given this place 5 stars -- great location, cool interiors, friendly staff, well-planned floor layout, impeccable lighting, modern amenities, sumptuous food selection, lively ambiance, arresting video walls, amazing music, clean and spacious -- were it not for the fact that we came in early for our reservation but they started our bowling play exactly 15 minutes late! You cant have it all, I guess, and neither will they!
Great place. Good deals if you pay attention to the offerings and packages. Had a great time with friends. Clean and good service.
Nice bowling alley however the service is absolutely disgusting. It felt like they were rushing our party. Even after our session mind you we are still with drinks going to play pool after, security was telling us the exit was this way. Obviously I’m still here with a drink in my hand. And the manager was very much clueless in things happening, front desk with attitude however that feels like the vibe of the place
Awesome bowling alley that has more than just bowling! There are a ton of bowling lanes as well as lounge areas, ping pong tables, billiards, ski ball, karaoke, etc. Prices are also pretty good compared to other bowling alleys in Manhattan. The bowling alley is on the second floor when you enter (there’s an elevator). We came here as a group of 5 and ended up paying about $30ish per person for 1 lane for 2 hours (this includes the shoe rental). When we came, it was in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was pretty empty, so no problem walking in and reserving a lane.Pros:- GREAT space! Very large, clean, with many bowling lanes, along with ping pong tables, billiards, ski ball, karaoke, and more- Surprisingly good food!Mainly bar food (chicken wings, chicken tenders, guac and chips, fries, quesadillas, etc) but the menu is pretty large so you have things to choose from. Get the HAND CUT FRIES - they were AMAZING.- Food comes in “regular” size or “party size”- Alcoholic drinks also available- Friendly staff- Fun and elevated ambience- Great for hanging out with friends or going with your family (kid-friendly!)Cons:- Our lane was not returning our balls at first, but this was shortly resolved by the staff after telling them the problemMy friends and I had a great time here celebrating our friend’s birthday! The food was actually really good compared to the expected quality of food at bowling alleys. We got the hand cut fries (delicious), chicken taquitos (also good), chicken tenders (flavorful and not dry at all), and guac and chips (so-so).They also had sanitizer on the walls between lanes, which is great. Overall, we were very impressed with the ambiance of the place, there’s a great vibe/energy, good music, and cool lights.Would definitely recommend! Perfect for groups/large groups of friends, and families. Also seems like a perfect place for companies to also hold a “company event”.
I went there with a group of 8 people, some of us were late and they offered to let us start at a later time, that way we get our full 2 hours. The food was good and we couldn’t finish most of it, some of us also ordered drinks from the bar, and I must say, it was really good!!! They check ID for that. Although you wouldn’t be able to play that well after having a drink or 2. The lounge is very nice and I might go there again. I saw they have a karaoke lounge but it is not open yet.Really nice spot for a group or date.
I planned a group event for 40+ people in the ping-pong room only have positive things to say. My communication with Laura was easy and she responded right away. When I arrived they were ready with wristbands and well organized. I liked that there were multiple food stations, which allowed the group to spread out. I had attendees with various dietary restrictions and they put out clear signs for everything through out the space. Lady, the server assigned to our space was very attentive and energetic. Ill admit that I was concerned as this was a company event but everyone had a blast. The food and the drinks were really good. I look forward to planning another event. I cant add pictures because it was a private company event.
Very nice bowling alley and gives upscale but aspects were lacking. My group of 7 had one lane that constantly would need to be reset causing us to lose over 15 min of bowl time. We were really bummed about this as we tried to go as fast as we could to get everyone a chance. We also got the Sunday package for 24.95 per person and to not be able to full bowl our full time was upsetting. Hopefully they can fix this soon.
I was really looking forward to bowling at Frames but my experience was disappointing. The lanes were poorly maintained and the bowling balls were dirty. The staff seemed uninterested and slow
Nice atmosphere. A good time overall. Service is friendly. Nice place for both date night and also family outings.
Location, locationVery convenient to get by public transportation from NJ.Staff was very friendly. Place was very clean and well maintained. Great ambiance. Food was delicious and abundant.
This was a really fun place to visit. It central to time square and easy to get there. The entrance was small but when you get upstairs it’s quite large. Lots of fun and excitement. The food was great.
Organized a corporate bowling event with Frames. Couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere, customer service and fun. I worked with Laura and she couldn’t have been more accommodating. I will definitely book again in the future.
The food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing!! The servers are so helpful and efficient, even on busy Saturday nights. We will be back for sure.
Fun place to go with friends and family! Pool and ping pong tables plus bowling with lots of bars and choices of food.
Security here were so friendly and fun to talk to, very chilled out and had a good laugh with them. Staff inside are friendly and informative, great arcade selection and very clean place
Frames Bowling Lounge is a unique spot where the fun is housed under an unsuspecting exterior. As the saying goes, dont judge a book by its cover, and this venue truly embodies that adage. I went there with coworkers. From the outside, one may not immediately grasp the vibrant energy and versatile entertainment that awaits within. Yet, once inside, visitors are greeted with a modern, luxurious atmosphere that is both welcoming and exciting.I would describe it as a stylish bowling lounge situated in the bustling heart of NYC. It boasts 28 sleek bowling lanes accompanied by flat-screen TVs and giant projection screens, creating an immersive bowling experience for all. Beyond bowling, the lounge also features a billiards room, a gracious lounge area, and two bars, making it an ultimate spot for nightlife and bowling entertainment. Theres more than just bowling to enjoy; the lounge also offers billiards, ping pong, and karaoke, along with the option to skip the line by reserving online, catering to those who are 21 and over after 8pm.The great food and drinks add to the fun ambiance. The only downside was the temperature control as it can get quite warm, and more air conditioning could enhance comfort.Frames Bowling Lounge appears to be a haven for those looking to have a good time, enjoy tasty food and drinks, and immerse themselves in a variety of fun activities all under one roof. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior of Frames Bowling Lounge is teeming with lively entertainment and jovial camaraderie, making it a worthy destination for both locals and visitors alike.
Nicest bowling alley I have been too. Boys loved it. Not cheap but its in Manhattan so it has to be expensive I guess. Would go back.
Great vibe. The music and drinks were good. It had something for everyone to do, even those who dont like bowling. We had options of karaoke, billiards pool and even or table tennis.
Brought our kids there and they had lots of fun. Venue design beyond the bowling alley is pretty good and the atmosphere just right with music not too loud or soft. The food and service is fantastic. Their fried chicken is crisp and their fries well seasoned.
Awesome place to go for fun with friends or a date. Very clean and the hosts are always available and very helpful. Food and drinks were great as well.
My son loved his birthday 🎂 the food, environment and people were great
Always a fun place!I think they need extra staff to make service more timely. Staff is friendly and effective, sadly not enough staff for the amount of people in there.
Fun bowling alley, amazingly helpful staff. Good energy, good ambiance. Kicking myself for not coming here sooner!
Great place to enjoy all adults to enjoy adulting, great music service, we had a blast, cant wait to go again, clean friendly service.Went again to celebrate my daughter birthday for karaoke, they had a blast 😁, I will do it again
A place to bowl in Manhattan. Lanes are very dry and dirty and its also not easy to find the right size/weight ball (although they do have more ball weight options than most lanes, the ball sizes arent really drilled consistently and none are double drilled for easy sharing). Because the balls arent double drilled/sized, groups need way more balls and that overwhelms the ball rack, so its hard for two groups or large groups to comfortably use adjacent lanes. The price is average for the area, not exactly cheap but not prohibitively high. The lanes and balls are caked in filth, your hands will be black after a few games, dont touch your face, and dont wear white. Overall, its adequate for family bowling or very casual practice. Verdict: good enough for most people
I visited this spot with a group of friends initially with the intention to bowl, but enjoyed just lounging around. We ended up ordering a bunch of drinks and food. We talked, laughed, and danced to the right DJ songs and took a lot of fun pictures. The entire place pulsated with an upbeat energy which I admit I didnt fully explore, yet what I experienced was truly fun. Plus, the servers? Super friendly! Their warmth only added to an awesome evening. I totally recommend this place!
Really a good place . At night very good music , a little bit loud but it’s not a problem. Drinks ( cocktails) are tasty. Good place for big parties.
Great atmosphere, the place was clean, the food was good, music was good and the staff was very attentive. Had a great time.
It was lots of fun for a team building outing for our dept. We had a great time. We weren’t rushed, had a VIP room with 2 lanes. Plenty to eat and drink. We were always active. Our servers weee great.
The best time we had! Our company went out of business, so I was searching for a place to have a party to celebrate the team of 18 and to reminisce about our time together. Well I called up Laura the event planner and she was an absolute gem , professional and really all around an unbelievable nice person 👏. When we arrived we were in amazement with the set up and the VIP lounge. Fantastic time! Our server Javier , not surprised was another amazing experience. We was knowledgeable, professional and checked in with us. All around 10 stars . Thank you for making our last time together memorable ❤
Nice place for bowling and team events. Music is a bit too loud, otherwise works for me.
Had a great time with my co workers . The servers were professional, polite and very helpful . Definitely coming back
The rudest manager I think I have ever spoken to in my life. My friends and I just wanted clarification as our reservation jumped from 8pm to 10 pm which was very unclear and even confirmed my 8pm time slot. I was spoken to like I am special, like I was slow and like I was a child. My friends who were trying to also clarify were met with being spoken over, we’re spoken about me in front of me like I was a stupid problem that shouldn’t have been in charge of making the reservation and not the system that bumped us after confirming 8pm. We spoke with kindness and clarity and that is how we should have been spoken back to.As a fellow manager at another establishment I would NEVER speak to my guests or customers like this. We understand the system is confusing so this probably happens to them a lot to get frustrated but do not ever speak to another human being in a belittling way, ESPECIALLY for a bowling alley.Hopefully they can figure out a new training system on how to speak to guests.
Cool place to.chill out by the pier while waiting to board the Adirondack sail boat
The best karaoke place you can go to. And it’s BYOB
Dead middle of Times Square. Great place to hang out with friends. Arcade there is fun. Bowling and large screen with sports and music videos above the pins is top tier. Considering location, surprisingly inexpensive, unless you are drinking.
For the urgency of having to show a gov. Issued I.D. It should be more urgency shown towards the safety. Know one was checked and searched. They open and closed my bag in 1.2 seconds. I think security practices should be more assertive.
Its a low key hot spot...
Good bowling place, food was okay and drink was good too little expensive for couples but good for groups. Had a good time.
Fun time bowl night. Courteous workers.Good music. Also has pool tables and table tennis / ping pong. Food and drinks are good. Limo service has easy access to the Lincoln tunnel
The staff at this establishment is the reason I would always make sure I support this business. On Saturday Me and My mom friends took the kiddies on a play date. We went to get food first, than we called to make sure our babies were allowed to enter Frames around the time we were trying to attend. As we walked over we got caught in the rain ((just giving a little background story so you guys can understand why we were even more appreciative and grateful)). When we got to frames there was a sign that stated no availability until midnight. There was a young lady at the front desk wish I got her name she was sweet and nice. We explained to her we called before hand & the young man on the phone knew we were coming but failed to tell us there were no lanes available. She called the Manager over for us. Now I want to make this very clear we need more people like Ms/Mrs.Claudette in customer service. Her energy and presence was so lovely. Not for one second did she start with a unfortunately or begin with its nothing I can do. She came into the situation very understanding and began with this is what I can do. Im not sure about everyone else but I havent been to many places lately where the employees even care to greet you with a smile. I work very hard for my money and if Im going to spend it with a business frames is top of my list. We need to keep businesses like this open they value their customers, theyre definitely hiring the right people , and even more so for our kids to have entertainment like we do. Its a overall fun environment, clean , music is great, drinks are good, and very safe establishment. Im truly happy with how we were treated and our little toddlers had a ball.
Great place to spend a social evenig, good location, nice bar and fair prices
Company had a team outing and one of the employees accused my colleague of stealing food, asked them to open their bags, called security. After this absurd accusation, colleague even offered to pay for it, but the employee said no, grabbed the food and tossed it out. Absolutely ridiculous! Wouldnt recommend this lounge for anyone for their disgusting attitude and failure of any decency and hospitality. Shame on this establishment.
This location is beautiful, and the food was tasty. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Very nice bowling alley. You can bowl or not and will have a great time. The set up is very nice.
While the place is big and beautiful, this experience wasnt what we expected. We organized a party for my nieces and their friends, a group of bright, college-bound African American high schoolers. They were having fun, as kids do, but things took a turn when the manager decided to call the cops on them for horsing around. It was incredibly upsetting and unnecessary, especially in todays climate.Beyond that, the service was disappointing. We had a group of 50 guests, and everything felt slow and lackadaisical. The bartenders seemed overwhelmed. Alexandjr was slow and came off rude, Natalia kept forgetting orders, and while Leo was decent, he was the only one who seemed to have it together that night. As someone who spent a good amount of money to make sure everyone had a good time, I expected better treatment and professionalism from Frames NYC. Calling the police on kids just having a good time is not the kind of experience anyone should have to deal with. The food was good, the wings, the beef sliders, the nachos, chicken empanadas and pizza although they were out of brisket, the brisket sliders and steak quesadillas. Both the service and how they handle situations involving your customers needs improvement.
This was my first time going to this bowling alley and I must say I enjoyed myself. The music was great. The staff is so professional and they are very attentive. Everyone was so sweet. After we finished bowling, we were able to play pool and they had such cute signs to take photos in front of. I would most definitely come back here. The manager was so sweet as well. Honestly this was one of the best bowling alleys I’ve ever been to. Thank you Frames for hosting us and making our night special & fun!
My friends and I had a blast!
Decent place with little High Rates ! You can enjoy with friends here !
Came here with my workmates.Since this was my first time bowling,, I really had no point of reference.Had a great time, food looked and smelled good and I will definitely want to try it when I come back.Took away 1 star for non existent service and included tips, on everything.
I made a reservation for a party of 5 for my girlfriends bday. On 12/02/16 Everything was good but our bowling lane was having technical difficulties. After going back and forth with the front desk, the young lady in the front desk Vanessa (I believe her name was) kindly upgraded us to the vip room which was very nice of her and made me leave a review .
Such a fun place! Its huge with a lot of options. The ping pong tables are fun though the music was blasting in the back. We also had a great time bowling! They cut you off 5mins prior to the session ending but otherwise very cute!
Fun times! Came here for company holiday stuff so it was a more luxurious experience, but lanes were fun, ping pong was good, the drinks were apparently solid (i didn’t have any) and the food was okay. Staff was very helpful.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Had no idea they had pool tables lol. The service is amazing, food and drinks are great. Lastly, the location is the best!!!
The place is nice. But do not forget your ID. I thought since it was bowling my cousin didnt need hers, especially when Im the one driving. Shes visiting from another country.
One of the better bowling venues in terms of quality and price (great in both respects) for manhattan. But, their bowling is always night bowling or whatever, so the lane arrows are never illuminated/cant be seen, which for anyone who wants to bowl to do well or make it competitive fun, is absolutely needed.Everyone that knows how to bowl, looks at the arrows not the pins, and you cant see the arrows here becaude the lights are always off. They should pain the arrows with glow in the dark paint or use tiny strip lights above the arrows so you can actually bowl (in a bowling alley) and it wont ruin their lounge vibe.Without the arrows it doesnt really function as a usable bowling alley. In terms of comfort, quality, and price, it is the best I have found i the city.
What a great night ! Music, bowling, unlimited drinks, and good vibes. I had so much fun and I enjoyed the atmosphere.
The service starting at the entrance made us feel welcome. He recommended the food, he said that he loved to eat there. The drinks were great. Spicy Margarita memorable experience. And chicken wings are so much to describe with letters. Our bartender can count on 2 new regulars. 5 stars are not enough.
I have so much memories from this place as a teenager in the 80s..took Me back to a much simpler Time. Ima have to Visit some day soon.💯🌹
Very fun place. Had a small company gathering here for 4 hours. 2 hours of bowling with food and drinks, then 2 hours of karaoke, and the remaining drinks from the bowling carried over. Staff was nice and friendly.
Lots of space, a few levels of entertainment. There are the bowling lanes and they also have karaoke on a different floor. They serve food. Adults only after 8pm (I think... please check before you go). Kids love it here, especially tweens/teens. Neighborhood is meh....just be careful. Its NYC so needless to say no street parking - you can park in a garage if you want to pay a ridiculous fee. Quite easy to get to by subway
Bowling was booked out so we played pingpong. Good place with reasonable rates. Some tables can be slightly dark. The staff is really nice and fun
I love it!!! I made a reservation for my 24 yr old son birthday this was the best quality time family time. The music and drink was amazing n point! I’m definitely goin back there!!!
I had my sons 22nd birthday party here. Party for him and 7 friends. They had a blast and the atmosphere was great. It was a night party so the Bowling was 21 and over. Adults were able to kick back and have fun.
I had so much fun! I think it’s more fun on Friday night!!
Great vibes and great service. It’s good for parties/events with the packages offered. I just wish coat check wasn’t mandatory.
Its a fun place. We had a ball. The music was popping. The food is decent. We had the chicken tenders and pizza. The drinks were good. We did the $40 per person deal. It includes food, 2 drinks and 2 hours of bowling. I would go again.
DO NOT BOOK!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY ($562) AND NOT MAKE THE RESERVATION AND TELL YOU TO DISPUTE IT WITH YOUR BANK!! THE MANAGER WAS NO HELP EITHER! THEY ARE THIEVES!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! NOT TO MENTION I HAD TO CALL 26 TIMES TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE AS WELL!! GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE
This will be the second time that I go to Frames for a Birthday celebration. I had booked the VIP Room with the help of Laura, she was amazing making our process so fast and easy, The food was DELICIOUS, we order Beef sliders, Jumbo coconut shrimp, Asian Teriyaki wings, and Truffle Pizza. And We had Pitchers of Margaritas (Regular & Pomegranate flavors) which were also delicious. The service was 10/10. We enjoyed our night and had lots of fun.
Great for early birthday party and excellent waiters
It’s a very nice place, nice vibes, but a bit overpriced for bowling. The lanes seem too narrow compared to any other one and when you throw the ball, even in the middle, it curves, which makes us believe the lane has some bump. But the place is very nice and has many other games, like Jenga, table tennis, etc.
Wonderful bowling center, great food,I love the drinks 🥰🥰.10/10⭐️
Vibes and DJ were great. Food is mid. Price for bowling is 85 per hour/ per lane.
Decent food and beer. Subpar service. They love to watch the clock. Had staff take away food from us and close our our tab twice without asking. Very eager for our group to clear the lane despite plenty of open lanes being available
I usually dont write reviews but I wanted to share how awesome my experience at Frames was this past weekend. I rented the private VIP lounge for my Fiancés birthday and it was the coolest thing ever! It had two lanes and a nice lounge area. We were even able to connect our music to the speakers. We all got the package that included food and premium bar which was definitely worth it!! The food was delicious. The Asian teriyaki wings were so yummy. Our waiter Javier kept the pitcher of drinks coming which we loved! They even accommodated us for the half hour we lost of bowling due to a mechanical malfunction. I will definitely be booking another event real soon :)
Very clean and upscale place. Great atmosphere. DJ definitely knows how to move the crowd and plays a great selection of music. Mainly hip hop. Drinks are good. Not watered down. The only minor issue I had was I ordered coconut shrimp and fries and it was salty. The chef was very generous with the salt. Other than that, I had a great time at Frames Bowling Lounge and would definitely do it again.
We chose Frame for our quarterly team outing and it was an amazing experience! We got a package for two hours of bowling, the food and drinks were included. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back :). 100% recommended!
It is a complete entertainment package. Plush seating, a well-stocked bar, a singing lounge, several pools and a shuffleboard. Its a fun place for group outing or a unique date night.
Great happy hour specials. The staff is the best! The food is good as well
Coat check needs to be more organized other than that its a cool spot. 2 breakfast to hang out if you dont want to bowl. Love the lights and ambiance. Dj was great.
Sorry for the late review but I didnt really get a chance to to reflect on my experience until recently. I visited in August 6, 2022, almost exactly two years ago to the date! I remember cuz it was my first time ever bowling at 41 years old and I went with a friend who I was visiting in the city. Being from California and living in Dallas there are plenty of bowling alleys, but I never took a chance to actually visit one until My friend who I was visiting suggested that we do so and I was not exactly in love with the idea but I reluctantly agreed. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a humdinger. We had fun and even though I sucked I still enjoyed the environment and the cocktails. I think the only thing that really left much to be desired was the food. While it wasnt exactly awful or anything, it still left much to be desired. But all in all, it was a great experience probably the best that I had the entire trip!
Loved it! Amazing food, music and service! 10/10
Overall my friends and I had a good time. The food and drinks were great. The music was super lively and I think we danced more the bowled lol. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the lanes are VERY close together. We were a party of 6 and the lane next to us had at least 10 people so we were literally on top of each other. But other then that it was a good time
Went here for a work event and it was so fun! The food was great! Our kanes kept getting messed up and after many attempts of employees trying to fix the lanes the manager finally changed us to different lanes AND gave us an extra half hour to bowl to compensate for the issues! Definitely going back!!
That was my first time at this place everything was fine except coat checks was horrible. The checking was long and check out was worse .I dont think I will go back there.
Coolest bowling spot I ever went to. Great deal that includes food and drinks. They also have darts, pool, and other activities. Great time!
Fun night. Great experience. No issues at all.
Super litt dj on point bowling lanes are nice and clean drinks are on fire but its just this female manager that made me give this place 3 stars if she wasnt there it would be a 5 star rating she basically argued with us a group of African Americans about our reservation saying it wasnt until 12 when just confirmed via telephone with an employee saying 9pm and we have an unlimited open bar for 2 hours which should have been from 9 -11 pm . Instead we didnt get our wristbands until almost 10 when she finally realized she never asked for the last name on the reservation. Even after she was found wrong, she never apologized for wasting an hour of our night nor the public embarrassment that we endured as patrons walked in. Now the question is, will I visit again? The answer is never not even if it was free.
Good bowling venue connected directly to Port Authority (easy access to buses and subway). They run promotions which can be of good value, but I would recommend making reservations. Some waitstaff left a bit to be desired (wanted to order drinks, waited a couple min., no server, so we walked over to the bar (we were at lane 15 and the bar is 10 away), a couple min. later our server showed up and was upset that we ordered at the bar (not entirely because of the tip since we had drink tickets)).Frames: check Lane 15 for levelness, either our group was cursed or theres an off spot about 2/3 the way down.
Two things: 1) Bowing itself was fine but food and drink service was borderline awful. 2) front desk was unorganized. My group had a bowling/ping pong/food and drink package for a friend’s birthday party and the service was absent. I ended up just going to the bar to order drinks instead. However, at the bar after repeatedly trying to get any bartender’s attention I was ignored. A small wait time is expected at any bar but the bar wasn’t even that busy but people who arrived after I did who called out the bartender’s name “James” got drinks first and I kept feeling completely ignored. And I was actually yelled at by one of those people who arrived after I did for “cutting” when I tried to move to a different part of the bar and was ignored again by the bartender while they made their order. I waited for over 20 minutes on my third time at the bar just trying to get water (first few times were for cocktails) and ended up just leaving the bar out of frustration. This really took away reserved time from the actual bowling and game room activity. The people at the front desk were also pretty unorganized. I was told that the person who made the party reservations was told she didn’t need to bring an ID to claim the reservation. But when she got there they told her she needed an ID and wouldn’t accept photos of her passport or travel visa on her phone. And I think they took off that time trying to figure it out from our reservationTLDR: This place is fine for bowling and ping pong only but everything else was sub-par.
Best bowling alley GREAT MUSIC DRINKS AND THE SERVER JAVIER ITS OUTSTANDING PLEASE ASK FOR HIM I PROMISE HE WONT LET YOU DOWN....OH AN ASK FOR DATE NIGHTTHE DRINK TO DIE FOR 😉 AND I WAS MY FIRST TIME 🎳 AND I WON
Frames was cheaper and had a better vibe than Bowlmor Lanes but they are both a good time.
I visit this location annually for our holiday party and always have a very good time. The bowling alley has a New Yorkcentric modern design with an upscale feel. Comfortable couches, several bars and great music make this a great location to spend time with friends and coworkers. The party food served is very good including fried chicken, margarita pizzas, pretzels and sliders. The cold beer towers help to quickly refill your drinks. The only reason for the 4 stars rather than the 5 stars is because several times on our lane (lane 1) after a player bowled the frame score would reset and at times move to a prior player. Fortunately we didn’t take the games too seriously as this causes the score to radically change. I would recommend this location and hopefully the issue with the lane frame resets get resolved.
Amazing experience, Frames staff was very accommodating and ensure myself and party were well taken care of. They handled my group of 30 people with ease and professionalism. 10/10
Came to Frames for a company event and this location exceeded all expectations. 10/10I booked an event with Laura and she went above and beyond with making this happen even when it was last minute! Our server Javier was amazing and the best at recommending food and drinks!! We got Classic Buffalo wings, Angus beef sliders and Fried Mac and Cheese. It was so good and fresh! Not to mention they have happy hour until 7pm! What more can we ask for!!!! The DJ was amazing!!You could do more than Bowling! They also have karaoke, billiards, ping pong !!!!I will definitely return to Frames for the next company event and or personal events as well!!!!!Thank you!!!!! 😊
I had a good birthday here because I didn’t expect a lot, but my night was ruined by a bunch of small things - and then one big thing that really broke up the party.First, the “bouncer” was incredibly rude. I told him my name a dozen times (i had a booking which I paid for upfront) and he refused to look at the reservation list. Maybe some weird power trip. When we got upstairs, the lanes they gave us was still being comfortably occupied by the previous booking - our 2 hour reservation started promptly at 8 and they weren’t even phased. I had to get the manager and even when he told them to leave, they took their sweet time and left a lot of garbage behind and nobody wiped or disinfected after they left. Pretty nasty, AND we lost 10 mins of playing time that we paid for.We didn’t even know we had a server the first 30 mins, they are obviously short-staffed. The food finally arrived and was good, but 15 of us paid $50 each for the food package - but they gave us ONE party platter of each dish. If we were 7 people, they would have given us the same amount. I dont know how they allocate food but we were all starving. To apologize for not giving us enough food, they gave us 2 ping pong tables for free. Once there, the same bouncer came over and harassed my friend for “vaping” (she does NOT smoke and doesnt own a vape) and threw her out for it. He didn’t ask her or give her a warning, just threw her out. Kind if a buzzkill if you ask me. Completely unprofessional - probably another one of his power trips.I otherwise had fun but am not coming back.
I went to Frames Bowling Lounge and I was at Lane #18 and there was so many technical issues with the system and they were very hesitant to give us that time back. And the manager didn’t help us at all until I went to him directly after talking to him directly multiple times. He moved us to another lane and the same issue happened. The employee was laughing at a group of my friends when the same issue happened again. Worst experience ever. I don’t recommend anyone to go to this bowling lounge
Decent bowling alley. Food is okay. Wasnt blown away by the service although it was a private event. To be located in the Times Square area I had higher expectations.
It was nice. Customer service could use a little work older black gentleman with glasses and a plaid shirt was rude when I asked a question he simply wrote me off and I had to talk to a staff member directly next to him.Nice spot though
Nice place, great food, but the shoes are rough looking (old and cracked). The good thing about it though is that you can pick your own shoes, so you can search and find a decent pair. But the shoes definitely dont match the place. Also, if you care about the score, take a pic of it before your time is up because it doesnt stay on the screen.
I am in a weekly bowling league. It is a cool space. This is a food only review.Week one: chicken tenders and mac and cheese bites. (not pictured) Chicken tenders were great! Very chunky, large portions. Much saltier than usual, you will want a drink handy. Would order any time. Mac and cheese bites were disappointing. The flavor was so mid. But easy to share.Week two: Buffalo chicken empanadas. Disappointing taste, skip itWeek three: chicken quesadilla. Super good, straight down the middleLooking forward to trying more! The menu is so big
The customer service here is great. The room is cute small room for a couple of friends to bowl in private with music. They had food and yes the have dri KS when you do the reservations. I wish its were 3 hours than 2 hours.
Good atmosphere, good quality meals. Few drink options on the main bar, but the bar com the subway exit is fair. The arcade is pretty fun
There was unnecessary profiling at the front door, as if it was some exclusive club. They saw me limp to the door and immediately accused me of arriving drunk (which was not true as I’d gotten there straight from home) and not having the right vibe (which just sounds like racial bias, TBH). They eventually let me in when others in my group vouched for me (I guess the approval of “already approved” ppl means I have the right vibe). Unpleasant experience and almost ruined my night to have to start it with a fight with the doorman, when all I was looking to do was chill with my friends.
They overcharged my friend on his birthday for a bottle he did not get and they didn’t even give a refund after they said they would. Worst place to go in the city
Came here today and had a great time for my husbands birthday. Jermaine was an awesome server. There were some tech issues with our first lane. They moved us right away.
Great service in terms of the bartenders and other staff. My only complaint is that we were put on lane 18 and no matter which direction you bowled from, the ball always curved away from the head pin. I’m usually a 160 bowler and I couldn’t bowl over a 120 on this lane. Definitely ruined the experience for me.
Came here on Dec 26, the website said it was open on regular schedule. Stood in freezing cold with several other groups who made reservations and the door remained locked. Nobody picked up the phone. Horrendous lack of care for the customers when staff simply didnt show up to work
I came to frames 4times last yr and I only got to bowl once. Everytime I come whether its with my boys or its a group of ppl male and female theres a problem. Were dressed and ready to spend money but I have to pay the bouncer first. When I call they say theyre open I ask are walk-ins allowed they say yes I get to the door and I have to pay 20 per head.. why?? Does security only get paid on shakedowns? When I was ablento get in I had fun bartenders are cool, the lady who checked me in to get a lane was super nice.. clean, good music. But security.. they gotta do better man.
It was a really clean place, the people there were nice as well, price is reasonable but gotta check the time cause you dont get to finish your game if time runs out.
The place is beautiful and seems like fun, i was considering having a huge event there but unfortunately the staff are really rude/unwelcoming/entitled - definitely NOT what you expect when youre hoping to give them business. spend your money & your special day elsewhere, where the people are friendly and customer service is up to par!! disappointing
Very cool. Came here for a team building event my boss coordinated. This place is like a night club! Great food, served buffet style with whatever alcohol you choose. Comfy couches for every lane. Theres also ping ping and billiards. All within easy walk of major subway lines. This is a fantastic place for work events or meeting friends, and considering what you get, the prices are fair. Highly recommended.
Javier was beyond amazing, he was our waiter for the night. He was great for the whole night, However towards the end of the night the rest of the staff were telling us we had to chug our drinks since they were about to close. That wasn’t cool because we paid $290 for 2 hours of open bar which started at 8:40. They should put in the fine print if it’s 11pm we can’t drink anymore. I would’ve never booked this place if i knew they would tell us we had to leave rather then let us finish our drinks. Thank you Javier for a great night of customer service. You should teach your peers on what customer service is!
Nice hidden bowling lanes behind the Port Authority. Offered a quick bite and beverage. Quick shoes change and you can start to bowl. Also, they also have a VIP lane, billiards, and ping pong tables as well.
I made a reservation for my friends birthday and the front desk staff was super rude upon check-in. I thought I’d overlook it and just bowl and have a good time. When it came 10:50pm ((they close at 11pm)) they shut our game down on the last frame #10. The security said it was time to leave so we started to gather our things, meanwhile other people were still bowling next to us! One person in our party went to use the restroom so we continued to put our stuff on and waited around. The security came back over to us and told us to leave, so we stated we were waiting for one person who was just using the restroom and that we’d be on our way. He said he didn’t care and for us to leave the lane. We left the lane and waited by the bar for our the person to finish using the restroom, and when he saw us standing there, he went INSIDE OF THE RESTROOM and yelled to our friend that it was “TIME TO LEAVE.” I was horrified that he went to that LENGTH to kick us out. May I add that there were STILL people in the bowling alley besides us! My friend felt very uncomfortable, got his things and rushed out of the bathroom. He came to us and I gave him his coat, and while putting it on the security said ONCE AGAIN to exit and that they were closed. I kindly told him that I understood that and that the person was just putting their coat on after just being rushed out of the bathroom. Afterward, we headed towards the elevator to leave and when I checked the time it was 11:02pm. Never in my LIFE have I ever experienced such rude staff, especially the security guard. Never again. There are SO MANY other bowling alleys (i.e Bowlmor Lanes, Bowl360 that are CHEAPER and have WAY nicer staff.
Definitely can not recommend this place. The track which we took was always stucked..The man come to repair it and when we thought- all done, we can play, our balls were stucked too! Hmmm... guys, but if we came to your place we would like to enjoy it, but not telling you couple times our track is broken. Can you please fix it?! This is quite not normal. After chiken we had some issues with our stomach 😪However, the stuff was really helpful 👌
DO NOT GO TO THIS BOLLING ALLEY!!!!!i tried to make reservations for my birthday online and when it was time to pay it said that it didnt go through But look on my bank statement and the $327.00 was taken out. So i call them twice and LAURA KACKZOWSKI answered the phone. She told me there nothing she could do about it.She said the money would be back on my card friday and when that happens give her a call and she would send me a link to do it. Well today is friday and my money is still not going back on my card and i cant rebook because i need my $327.00I call and a man answered and said there was nothing he can do i told him its for my birthday and i dont want it to be sold out and hes gonna say WELL IF ITS SOLD OUT ITS JUST SOLD OUT.Needless to say i will never do business with them again.Sb: i just found out a friend of a mine had the exact same issue last year. Not professional and polite AT ALL!! keep your money and go somewhere else.UPDATE: Afterward, i spoke to the manager, and he was very nice and he even held the spot for me until the money came back on my card. I wish i would have spoken to him first and not those 2!! In the end, i had i good time, and the staff that was there was very nice.
DO NOT BOOK AT FRAMES! The only thing this place has going for it is that it is clean. Upfront, their food/drinks are overpriced. They think they are some high end club or something...IT IS A BOWLING ALLEY AT PORT AUTHORITY LOL! This was the hardest Ive had to try to get into anywhere in NYC. We booked 6 lanes for $1,200 for a group outing, our treasurer made the call and we had the invoice sent to another board member who put it on their card. We were assured by the representative from Frames all was good. When we got to Frames, there were about 15-20 of us there, on time, and they refused to let us in. We told them we had a reservation and they refused to even look at the reservation list. The made us all leave the building and stand outside (it was a real feel in the low 30s that night). We then had to spend 15 minutes trying to explain to them it was our treasurer (who was running late) on the list, but another member paid and that he was there with the card he paid with. They refused to look at the email with the invoice or correspondence with their representative, or to even let us fully explain. We finally got them to let us in. They made us all check our coats, and people who were wearing vests had to check those as well (but then a group behind us didnt have to). About 30 minutes into our reservation the ball return for 2 of our 6 lanes broke and they spent like 45 minutes fixing it and then refused to give us some money back for the time lost with that and not letting us in on time. Then when we were leaving, we had to stand in line for 30 MINUTES to get the coats that THEY made us check. It was ridiculous. They made a lot of money off of our large group with the bowling, food and drinks and were incredibly rude. If you want to go to a club (which is what they are trying to make this place?) GO TO A REAL CLUB. Youre in NYC, there are plenty of options that will have a better energy, prices and drinks and is not a bowling alley. Comment and I will get you recs. DONT GIVE FRAMES YOUR MONEY.
Came here for a company event with my coworkers and boss.We got the Summer Splash package. The food was delicious and a great choice for our event. It was easy to eat while bowling. The place is clean and spacious so your not bumping elbows with other groups.Good music and happy atmosphere! The drinks were pretty good for the price.Overall:Had a such a great experience, was well fed, and the employees were responsive and respectful, its a great choice if your in a group!
Too noisy to sleep in here! 5 stars! Kept the night terrors and paralysis demons at bay!
Nice vibe with good food and bar. I had a 2 hour reservation, they cut us short by 10 minutes while we were about to finish a game because they had another reservation coming in and they were rushing us out of our booth, you figure
I planned my best friend’s bachelorette here and it was a wonderful experience. We had a package with bowling and karaoke and bottomless drinks/food. Evelyn was an absolute angel and provided exceptional service from start to finish. Promote her!! I couldn’t be more appreciative and we will certainly be back! Thank you!!
This place is so much fun! great mom night out! The host JohnCarlo was so welcoming! Checked us in and helped me and my friends find the right bowling shoes! Such a great help and such a easy going person! Loved his vibe! Food was great too!! LOVEEDDD the burger sliders! Have to try it! Ill be back!
A great place to relax while others bowl. We made the kids have fun. We sat in the eating area right behind them to drink and eat. The food was amazing. Bathroom was clean and kept clean on rotation. Drinks arent strong but tastes good. The game room was fun. Its a good place to be.
I celebrated my 18th birthday here back in November 2018. As to say it’s a very unique place to hang out with friends and family. Customer service was good and helpful. There is also very creative wall art and many activities to do. The food was delightful too.
Stopped for a drink 🍻 after work, with a coworker. Bartender was excellent, watched as he made delicious concoction for other patrons. Others ordered food, it arrived quickly & looked quite appealing.
This place is awesome loved the vip room and karaoke room. I had soo much fun. The food was good especially the fried shrimp. I think they should extend the tip.for the vip room though it was 20 of us and we didnt get to finish the game . But overall great experience. Beautiful place. Dj was on point as well
Well the bowling was great!! However, the manager which was the lady at the front desk could not have been any more non accomodating. We were in the middleOf eating and she could not wait to tell us to leave. Extremely rude.
Had my daughters first birthday held in the lyric lounge. The food is surprisingly good and the atmosphere is very friendly and upbeat. Alcoholic beverages are overpriced but maybe its a good thing to not have anyone getting too drunk. The place is clean and has security staff that are non intimidating. Its nice to know they are keeping an eye out for their patrons. The staff handling our party were courteous and attentive and gave the feeling that they liked working there. We will definitely be back as a family to do some bowling or maybe having another party.
Absolutely nothing, I prepaid and booked online with my debit card. Its 2022 not everyone carries their debit card with them as its attached to my phone along with other major credit cards for security reasons. I was told at check in that they had a lot of scam issues in the past therefore they require the physical card to charge $1 to confirm the reservation. I visibly saw an emv card reader to tap my phone with the Visa on file. I was told they can not do that, the manager was sweaty and disgusting and told me he absolutely can not check me in to my reservation unless the card was present and that I needed to provide another card to check in to my reservation that had been charged 10 days ago .. which had it been fraud you would have received a chargeback by then or a hold alert on the card. Im an Assistant General Manager for a hotel and understand the precaution with bookings, but we make the emv reader accessible to the guests regardless of the card being present because our system will alert us of fraud immediately. When it was offered to use a different card I asked if they would at least refund my debit card since I would be paying twice to bowl for 2 hours and I was paying for 7 people. He declined and said no I would not get refunded but instead have a credit on the account, as if I was going to return in the first place. He wasnt accommodating in the least and to be honest looked like he hated his job, so maybe he should rethink customer service. I wasnt the only person with this problem as another guest behind me encountered the same issue and was equally frustrated. I think that if youre having major issues with chargebacks then that is on you and your accounting department and their security systems to reconcile and get you the systems you need to avoid that. I requested a full refund was denied and still paid just so that my friends would have a good time on MY birthday. To say the least it ruined my evening and despite that we still ordered food, pitchers, drinks and shots. I want a refund I dont want a credit because I will never be back there again.
I recently visited Frames with some friends and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The coke was overpriced, and the service was terrible with no refills offered. We were told that they were fully sold out of bowling, even though about half of the lanes were empty for the entire hour we were there. The shuffleboard was useless without sand, and the pool tables were in terrible condition. The only positive was the music. Overall, I would not recommend going to Frames.
Have been here twice and this place is excellent for a fun Friday eve with team or friends/family. Servers are really pleasant and help you choose from lots of drink and food options. It can get crowded at times so make a reservation before you arrive. Dont miss to capture with the gorilla, if you can find it. ,)
Wonderful time with my oldest daughter and family for her birthday
My family and I really enjoyed ourselves.., we came here to celebrate my sisters birthday 🎂 .. the music was difiantly on point!!
I had a private party here last night from 7pm- 10pm with about 100 employees and everyone had a ball. The food was absolutely delicious and every server, including the bartenders went above and beyond keeping us fed and happy.Karaoke is the best thing in the world and we spent a lot of time in there, as well as the other games and billiards.Bowling experience is absolutely amazing and what good is bowling of you can’t have one of the best Arnold palmers in the City? You’ll never find a better slider and chicken finger experience on the planet earth. Not sure what occurs on Mars, but here on Earth, you won’t find a better chicken finger, chicken tender, slider, and Arnold Palmer experience.
Well I have an event this evening at 7pm and I have called them and sat on hold for almost 25 minutes each time and I have yet to get a human on the phone. I have one simple question so I’m prepared before getting there but that is apparently too much to ask for with all of the $1700+ I’m paying. Oh and be careful because you’ll need to be accurate about the number of people coming as soon as you book because they want the money up front and refuse to allow you to reduce the number of people even if it’s just a few hours after paying. Three people are out of town and I’m paying for them anyway. I also left a voice mail at 11am today asking for someone to call me back but no call yet. Won’t be doing a party here again. Not if you pay that much and nobody ever picks up the phone like they’re doing you a favor.
Holiday party- first I have to say everyone from the front staff to the back house are so nice and the environment is very people-friendly and efficient. Cant say enough about the servers, Javier and Mike; they were so attentive. Also, everything flows very well from the check-in desk to the lanes to karaoke. My group of about 70 attendees had so much fun that they didnt want to leave when our time was done...and to think some werent sure if they were going lol. Convenient location in PABT; cant beat the food, plenty of options. Good fun, lots of smiles and laughs from the lyric lounge sessions. Everything was so well done. Kudos to all the staff! Highly recommend planning your next event here.
We were in the VIP area for a 30th birthday party and it was perfect! There were 13 bowlers but the space wouldve easily accommodated 5 more. The staff were all extremely helpful and attentive, the food was good, and we had a ton of fun. It is good to know that this room is rented by the hour, not per game, so whenever your time is up the lanes turn off no matter where you are in the game. Not a big deal for us, it was not competitive, just provided a fun and exciting place for friends to catch up and celebrate. I would go again and recommend to friends, and with a group of adults I would absolutely rent the VIP section again.
Good vibes here. They make some good drinks at the bar. Music is great. They play a little bit of everything. Place is great to have a good time. Clean bathrooms. Good variety of games besides bowling.
It was hot in there the entire time we played but I liked several things about it. The shoe selection is self service. The game computer felt like it was in good shape. All the balls were heavily scarred but that is normal. We played 2 full games with only 2 glitches. They were easily fixed by using the computer to cycle /reset. The music was fairly vanilla when I was there, but there were signs up about a live dj late at night. It is little weird when you go in. The first floor is under construction, so you are walking past a heavy tarp until you get to a little elevator. The elevator has signs all over it warning of a maximum capacity of 10 people. I didnt try the food or alcohol, so no comment on that.
Came here because of a recommendation I saw on Instagram but wasn’t too impressed.Front desk staff wasn’t too keen on providing assistance. The shoe area didn’t appear very sanitary (you pick up and drop off shoes in the same place and it doesn’t look like they get cleaned or atleast sprayed down).Lanes are too close to each other so even if you reserve a lane it feels like you’re sharing it with another party and you have to use whatever balls they were already using. While the music is great it is really loud and the only way to communicate is to yell.Food and drinks are definitely over priced
I ordered nachos and a margherita pizza and I was pretty disappointed. Nacho chips were basically Doritos and the pizza was mediocre at best. Food prices are at least reasonably priced.Lanes on the other hand are $75/hr and you usually need to book a week in advance to get any chance of a lane.Music was mostly newer hip hop (not much R&B).
I came here for pool and ping pong. The pool tables leave to be desired. The sticks are beyond their usable life and the table arent level. This being the said the ping pong tables more than make up for it. Quiet room away from the loud bowling lanes with a great ambiance. 6 tables so rarely full and great prices. Highly recommend!
Better music than most clubs!
We had so much fun here. The Dj was lit! The drinks were good. They cheated us out of some time on the lane but whatever. Nice spot to just go out with friends or celebrate a birthday.
I had the best experience ever. They got the best customer care service ever. I had a big party size of 17 and my party planner help me make it the best. I highly recommend her, her name is Laura Kaczkowski so just call and ask to speak to her hell tell her I sent shes going to make sure you have a good time with your family and friends
Booked for a work event. An event coordinator immediately reached out and was super helpful throughout the entire process. Our team had a great time, thank you Laura!
Lovely place. Great drinks and music.
I had a great time here. Attended a birthday bowling celebration. The food - sliders, wings, and fries were good. The staff was helpful, the layout was good. After 7pm the DJ began playing and the music was great.
Had a great experience. The places is quite big and vibrant. Its well maintained and had no glitches.
Very nice venue. Food was good as well as the drinks. Clean environment all around and staff was constantly picking up and cleaning. They also have pool and ping pong tables. Location is excellent right @ PABT. Definitely going back, good times were had by all!
We love frames for our corporate parties!!! The food and vibes are a 10/10
Frames was extremely helpful with making a surprise 40th Birthday party for my husband. From the booking staff, to the desk staff and waiters that evening they all helped pull it off. They were reasonable priced and worked with me to find the best package to suit our needs.I would go back any day. They werent super busy for a Sunday night and that made it even nicer and more intimate.
I love the food and the service! Great for dates and to hangout with friends!
This place never disappoints. Everything from food to sports and drinks are awesome!
Service and food was good
Felt like a night club more than a bowling alley. Also, there are no vegan options on the menu and no non alcoholic drink options other than soda and sugary juice. It was a fun time for sure but do understand that there will be some loud music pumping and if youre a vegan then eat before coming and bring yourself a Kombucha bottle.
I had a really bad experience during my visit here with a staff member called Ebony. She was apparently the head over here.1) She spoke to us in a very rude tone when we arrived and tried to book a bowling lane.2) when i went to inquire about the bowling ball, i was told that “ i cannot come to the alley and show you where is the ball, just look for it on your own”.3) my bowling alley stopped recording our scores during the last ten minutes of the game, I approached Ebony for help. She was least accommodating of our complaint, instead she started fighting with us in an extremely rude and condescending way. Accused us of lying about bowling alley not working and being cheap about complaining for losing 10 minutes of the game. This is definitely not the behavior expected from her. All the other staff was very helpful and friendly except the manager Ebony who works at the front desk. I was hosting guests visiting from various cities and this wasn’t the NyC experience they were looking for. Thanks to Frames for spoiling our Sunday. Not worth visiting for sure.
First time there. The place and people are nice.
It was okay. I don’t recommend this place due to the location. I prefer Chelsea Piers because there’s a parking lot right outside. This place also is always a crazy wait… to get a lane; to buy another game; just a lot of wasted time; constantly waiting…. I wouldn’t go back. Front desk girls were really rude. Poor customer service.
Terrible service with dismissive staff. Our company paid thousands of dollars to host an event there and the service was subpar. I asked our waiter of the night to refill our pitcher of water and was told, You have another pitcher of water on the other lane. Really?! Unbelievable. Then when asked to receive help adding another player to the lane another staff member was walking away as I was talking to him. I would not recommend especially since tip is predetermined in the price paid a month in advance to reserve the spot. Poor service all around.
Great place: super nice, attentive waiters and great fries! Our waiter Sean was quick to help when we were setting up the game and when we needed assistance for our lane. My friends and I had a lot of fun. I will definitely be coming back!
2 legit, 2 legit 2 split is our bowling team name! This is a decent bowling alley. Just off port authority. Tip: The entrance is on 9th Avenue between 41st & 42nd Street..do not follow the sign indoors that steers you to an inaccessible entrance on the 2nd floor of the port authority. The beer towers are a nice touch. And the food smelled good.
Although it was a work event I enjoyed the ambience and the food especially the Teriyaki wings were delicious
It was ok😒😒😒. Our lane had A LOT of technical issues and we lost a lot time, which we got very little back. Other than that, the food and drinks were amazeballs, but my overall experience could have been better
Atmosphere is nice and food is pretty good but the drinks are really bad even the shots taste watered down
