Ambience is nice and staff are friendly. Personally think it is more of a novelty than anything. Drinks are alright? You should check it out if you have never been here. Definitely some level of novelty with the drinks. But will I come back here again? Hmm. Probably not.

With a great atmosphere and even better drinks, Singlish provides a great backdrop to a night with friends. By backdrop I literally mean the place looks like a movie set for an old classic. The drinks themselves are well-balanced and not light, ensuring you taste both the alcohol and the secondary tastes. The craft cocktails at Singlish that have excellent execution and are well-thought out, making you want to order just one more before you go.

Overall rating: 4.7This is one of the places when you’re like wow, I am in NYC. What a unique, authentic, Asian spot. I had a weird experience with actually sitting at the time of the reservation, but I did visit when the restaurant just, just opened. So maybe it’s better now.Our “hostess” was also our waiter, and bartender. So definitely a tad understaffed. After we sat it was a better experience.Had to knock off a few points.. this is not a speakeasy 😅🙄 but nevertheless, really great experience and highly recommend. This was my first time trying Singaporean food and very cool. Echo some of the other reviews where the cocktails were soo cool. I had Majong tiles in mine! So cool.I did feel like the spot was a little tight and claustrophobic, but def worth going. I’ll probably go again if I had good company.

My wife and I came here for pre-dinner drinks on a Thursday, having made a reservation via Resy in advance. We had seats at the bar, and as such were able to have a front row seat to watch the bartender crafting the novel, interesting drinks on the menu. We enjoyed the Ho Seh Boh, One Bam, and Chope which were their variations on an Old Fashioned, classic Martini, and clarified milk punch, respectively. All were well made and offered flavor profiles not commonly found in the above-mentioned classic recipes. The space is trendy yet comfortable, perched above 13th St. with an attractive bar stocked with uncommon and high-end bottles. The service was excellent, and the bartender was helpful in recommending drinks based on our likes. Definitely worth the higher price point at $20-26 per drink, especially in this area.

Cute little speakeasy tucked away on the second floor of a south East Asian restaurant. Food was great but the cocktails were meh, not as stunning as the ones you can get from other well known cocktail bars on Union square. Love all the Singapore-themed cocktail names though!!

I tried a couple of their drinks. I have had much better drinks for significantly less. The place is also very small and a tight fit. It’s pretty though, and the staff is nice but not exceptionally great. I felt like they were trying to be creative with the drinks and I appreciate that but I felt that they were still needing to perfect their recipes.

Went to Singlish on a Friday evening, and it did not disappoint! The creativity and craftsmanship of each cocktail was on full display. My date and I ordered the Oh Bam, Build To Order, Relak lah (not pictured), and a mock tail version of the Singapore Sling that we were able to add alcohol to. On top of the great cocktails, the ambiance and excellent service by the staff made our experience even 10 times better. I will definitely be making my way back!

This is a great new addition for cocktails in NYC and a definite must-visit. The cocktails are fun and imaginative, and with a Singaporean influence that offers both new cocktails and unique twists on old favorites. The staff was incredibly friendly, too. Super cute and cozy bar near Union Sq. They have interesting drinks and snacks! We got a Pandan drink and a lychee/ginger drink and they were both yummy. The Pandan drink was super earthy and the alcohol was more forward. The lychee/ginger drink was a good balance of both and on the tarter side.If this place becomes really popular (which it should), you’ll definitely need a reservation! Since there are ~20 seats.FYI it’s upstairs inside Chard and has no outside sign for Singlish
