The food & service here was so amazing!! I went for the first time with friends last night who had already gone multiple times, and spoke very highly of it- it absolutely lived up to the expectations. Shoutout to Griffin for being such a fantastic server!!Definitely worth going with a group of friends for a whimsical & fun time making potions (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) as a special treat :)

This place is really cool if you’re in the Flatiron/Chelsea area of Manhattan. The drinks are super unique with magic twists resembling drinks from popular movie series Harry Potter. The bartender Connor was spectacular, friendly and helpful with service and knowledge of the area etc. definitely stop in for a cool experience.

I was really excited to take my friends here because I had done the potion experience in the Chicago location and loved it.However, immediately from the start I knew it was going to be a completely different experience. They were also having a drag show (awesome!) but everything was so chaotic and loud and the workers didn’t seem to know what to do with us. We showed up for our 9:00 reservation and were told to wait off to the side. We and a few other groups waited 40 minutes without anyone updating us or offering us anything to drink.Finally, we were told to “head straight back” and had to squeeze and push our way through the crowd of people there for the drag show with no idea of where exactly we were going. Once we entered the room, it was decorated really cool and I thought we were good.They seated us and gave a short introduction but not really any instructions other than to agree upon two drinks per table. The server/potion master and bar workers were all running around really confused and disorganized. Eventually they put a drink in front of us that looked cool, but we had no explanation of what it was.They asked us our drink choices several times even though they were writing the orders down. They kept opening the door to the main bar area and so our experience kept being interrupted with screaming and booming music.The drink kit was finally delivered to us without any guidance, so we started on following the instructions in the potions book. After we were almost done and needed to ask the potions master for ice, she was running all around and said she would be right there. Finally she addressed the class and said to go ahead and start (seriously?). We had to call her again and she finally brought us our ice to finish the drink.We waited so long in between drinks and it just was not the experience I was expecting for paying $90 per person and with my previous great experience in Chicago. They didn’t even give us wands until the very end and did not have us get our drinks from the magical dragon/unicorn as advertised.They really need to get organized and focus on actually providing the described experience. Was not worth what we spent in my opinion, but we tried to make the best of it.

I just have to say that this was so much fun! Truly one of the best experiences in New York City! It’s so hands-on. I came here to celebrate for my One Year Anniversary of being Sober and they had mocktail options for the potions class as well. All my friends and I had a blast! Our Potions master was iconic!!!!! Everyone was 10/10 and I can’t recommend this place enough. Don’t be fooled once you go in though! All the magic happens in the back! They’re brilliant and magical that way!

What an awesome place! The staff is so friendly and welcoming! Came here with a friend today for the potions making class andIt was great! Our potion master Poppy was so sweet, she was helpful, kind, and efficient. The drinks were YUMMY as was the food. We had the chicken tenders and you could tell these are not frozen tenders,they were def fresh made.The quesadilla was delish as well. I would def recommend this experience. The decor is beautifully done and adds to the magical vibe! Stop by for the experience or for drinks and dinner, you’ll be glad you did!

This was a super cool and super fun experience. My partner and I did the Halloween Potion Class. We got a robe, a complimentary witch hat, a free drink/shot and 2 potion cocktails each.Theyre very accommodating as I do not drink alcohol but my partner does and we were able to have the same experience, just with mocktails which were SUPER delicious.Of their 4 potion drinks, all are vegetarian friendly and 2 are vegan friendly.Our instructor was Poppy and we loved her (cawcaw) and she was super bubbly, informative and helpful.My only note, which is a truly small grievance, is the booking page asks if there is anything the organization needs to know like dietary restrictions etc before booking and we did make note we are vegan, though during our experience we had milky-esque shots brought to our table that I had to investigate a bit, which did turn out to have dairy.Its honestly not the worst thing, a small hiccup, and maybe that information got lost during our experience, but a bit more quality control in that department would be good since it truly is quite accommodating!Overall though I 100% recommend and it was a truly awesome experience.

Great cocktails, fun atmosphere. They also have these potion experiences that are pretty fun to take visiting friends (especially if they are harry potter fans), great way to pregame.

Such a fun experience! We truly loved it here and Poppy was such a great host. She was very interactive and really made this event! We will be back to try the other drinks. Must check out if you are a fan of fantasy or just plain old magic!

OMG I was waiting to go to this place for so long and today I finally made it. I didn’t have the time to do the Potions Class because my time was limited but I have an AWESOME time with my boyfriend and friend at the bar are. The services EXCELENTE. The bartender was wonderful, funny and friendly. We tried the Phoenix Feather.. SOOO GOOD!! 100/10. My friend and I have a turkey sandwich too so delicious!!! The experience so far one of the best at NYC. It was so much fun!! I can’t wait to come back and do the complete experiences

My friends and I came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We came at night and the place was lively. The drinks were great for celebrating spooky season. I would definitely recommend for those looking for a new and fun experience. I also want to thank the workers for being so kind and providing a great service!!

Me and my girls we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day, so we made reservations for the potion experience, it was definitely a fun time, We had poppy hosting it & she was such a pleasure she’s so fun & definitely brings all the vibes, we truly enjoy her hosting us.

Had a great experience for the magic potion making! As soon as you get inside, the place has this kind of a magical cozy underground vibe. The Christmas tree makes it especially wonderful. Our potion masters Calypso and Nevy were super friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a super fun experience. Drinks are yummy and strong so we got drunk and got a chance to meet new people 😁

We came to check out the Hot Chocolate experience at the Flatiron location and loved it.I have done all of the experiences offered at the Cauldron and this one did not disappoint.This was our first time at this location and they did pretty well with replicating the Downtown location.We were especially delighted with our host Levy who was just full of enthusiasm and played 100% into the Wizarding/Magical role! If you are a Harry Potter fan then you’ll love this place.The hot chocolate was absolutely fun and delicious with all the flavor options and fun toppings. We even got a chance to get an introductory drink from the magical creatures using a bit a magic!I’ll definitely be bringing my Wizarding friends here when they are in the area.

This place is incredible! The drinks are lovely and the potion making class is top tier 🩷 When I was there I didn’t order any food, so I’m unable to give feedback on that. The bartender was so bubbly and helpful as well as the host who helped prepared your ultimate magical Harry Potter experience.

What a great experience! This place had such amazing drinks and great food as well! I made a reservation and was running a bit late. When I called, the incredible host Astra let me know it wouldn’t be a problem and went above and beyond to make sure my party was cared for. He truly made our experience the best!

Took the Potions making class with Potion Master David. It was such a fun night with a cool atmosphere; David was hilarious. Highly recommend it for folks looking for a Halloween experience in the city! The drinks also came out great!

I’ve been here a couple times n it was alright but this was my first time coming in a couple months and the hostess Astro was just such a delight to talk to. They were super attentive even tho they weren’t our server and even checked on our drinks and food while helping a lot of other people. Really nice to see a refreshing face, def prob gonna have to come more often.

Went for the Potion Making class. From start to finish, the whole experience was disorganized, which killed the whole magic vibe.When you enter the bar, there is no one to provide any guidance as to where you are supposed to go. We sat around for about 15 minutes until I got a bartenders attention, who said that someone would assist us. Someone did eventually ask if we were there for the potions class, and then took us to the basement (dungeon?), which was hotter than literal hell, as there wasnt any AC. Our Potion Master was dripping sweat the entire time. It is also very poorly lit. We had to use our phones to read the recipe book.Service was slow due to the Potion Master having to work the entire room by himself. Also, we never received our wands, and our tables were sticky and gross.Mixing the cocktails was fun, but certainly not worth the $155 (for 2 people).

I had searched this on YouTube to get an idea of what to expect. From what I saw you were given a wand that was interactive during your experience. Perhaps this was at the original location and not the Flat Iron. The back room where you completed the potion making was decorated but it appeared to me like an arts and crafts room. No wizardry ambiance in my opinion. We were given a crate with the ingredients. Both potions we had to ask for missing items. Overall it was a huge letdown. The website makes the experience seem much different. You can see some of the background in my pictures. The servers were nice and friendly. That was a plus.

We did the Christmas potions experience and potions master David was amazing. Love the experience and the drinks tasted great as well!

I planned a team outing for my company who is involved in the D&D industry and we absolutely had the best time at the Cauldron! Our Head Potion Master, David, was the most knowledgeable and gifted potion master I’ve ever been under the tutelage of and would highly recommend any future students of cocktail alchemy to enroll in his class! Alongside his charismatic instruction, we found ourselves fully immersed in the fantasy world The Cauldron has beautifully established. The cocktail recipes were fantastic and the activity of potion making created even stronger collaboration bonds within our team. It was a perfect 7 out of 5 stars and is a memory that we will cherish and keep in our witchy hearts! - The Pocket Bard Team

We went here for my sisters 21st bday, big potter head, and I gotta say... it was a blast! David (mwahahaha) was a fantastic potion master and guided us through everything seamlessly. Well be back with friends for round 2!

I bought two tickets to experience the tea here. My friend and I had car trouble and tried contacting the establishment before our reservation. When you go on their website, anywhere CONTACT SUPPORT is listed, you click on it and the page cannot be found. I also tried the virtual helper which sent me a CONTACT SUPPORT link and again, the page could not be found. I even called the number listed on the site but it’s an automated service that encourages you to use the site for any issues. We decided to show up anyway and were 30 minutes late for the reservation. I asked if we could be seated for a different time that day and the staffer said they were fully booked but you could reschedule for another day. I told him I didn’t live in NYC and that I tried numerous ways to contact them before the reservation. He then told me to email support for a full refund which I was thankful for. I sent the email and said I hoped to experience Cauldron in the future. Fast forward to today, I received an automated email asking me to rate my Cauldron tea experience. I’m like “what???” we weren’t allowed to “experience” it. Now I’m worried that they never listed us as absent in their system and now they’ll say I was there (clearly I wasn’t) and won’t troubleshoot this issue with me. I’m super disappointed in how they’re handling this and now I don’t care to return. I just want my money back.

This review is in regards to the Potion Making Experience.Ive been to the Cauldron before, back before it relocated to the Flatiron District. This was when it was on Stone St, lower Manhattan. That place had a magical vibe as the low lighting created a more mysterious, moody, supernatural feel as youre surrounded by friends making potions. And the wands provided was unique as it was used to open hidden doors and turn on/off lights on an antique looking lamp set on the table. But this new location, it lost all that made it special. The room is brightly lit, so it doesnt feel magical or otherworldy despite the small props along the wall. The wand provided doesnt do anything. There is nothing to tap it against, nothing to open, nothing to light. Its just there to wave around. The previous place, you get a choice of beer (poured by tapping the wand against a mythical creatures head) and two drinks to be made. Here, you get a choice of sangria or a non-alcoholic drink delivered straight to you (again, why even have the wand in the first place if not to tap it against a dragon or unicorn and get a drink poured out from its mouth for you?) and two drinks to be made. The drink making is fun, but again, in the brightly lit room, feels less magical than in a room with a dimly illuminated aura around you. Our potion master was fun, and I have no complaints there. The price seems too high for the experience when fees and taxes were added to the base price. Compared to the place of long time ago, this is a let down and I felt bad for hyping a friend up to this place when I thought it would be just like before.

Fun for kids and adult.my granddaughter loves Harry Potter and she is very picky but she loved everything there.

Potion master David was AMAZING!!! A group of 7 of us went for a bachelorette party in NYC! We had such a blast! The drinks were great! The shots were great! And the experience was incredible! Potion master David helped us through every step of the way! He took the beat Instagram worthy photos and videos! REQUEST DAVID!!! Highly recommending doing the portion mixing glass with a group at the Cauldron! Cheers to David!

I’ve been to the cauldron multiple times for the potions classes and it’s always been a fun experience! David was so nice and energetic! I always recommend this place if you want a fun time with cool drinks!

I dont know why this place isnt more happening. Our bartenders every night recognized us, and were so welcoming. We ended up there 3 nights in a row just because the service was so great and across from our hotel. The cocktails were so fun to watch being made and to drink!

This was not worth it by any means. What a disappointing experience. We were the first reservation as it was for myself and my 6 yr old child and they weren’t set up, looked like they were setting up for larger parties and we were an inconvenience and moved us half way through to a server who was obviously flustered with his own work load and also not set up. This place will not be recommended by me. If I could get my money back that would even better. What a disappointment.

DONT GO!We visited The Cauldron NYC yesterday and it was the worst experience ever.Very expensive for a super simple and poorly explained drink. We used the Sightseeing Pass and, even so, its not worth it. poorly organized. The guy who welcomed us gives us some robes, serves a horrible welcome drink and then leaves the ingredients there and you have to read the spell and make it yourself. Theres not even a hint of smoke with dry ice or anything. There are no classes. theres nothing. you mix everything, drink it and its over. zero interactive. horrible.Its not worth the price and they still charged us a separate tip even with the pass ($15).And, to make matters worse, to use the wand to do the spell we have to give our credit card as a guarantee that we wont steal the wand. absurd. When its time to leave, they bring all the cards to hand over the wand and get the card back. you choose one and leave. absurd. If someone takes yours and leaves, what will it look like? zero control. bad, bad.The sightseeing pass does not have any information about day or time restrictions and nothing about tips. You only find out when you book. Then it cant be on such a day or at such a time and even after booking, an email arrives saying that tips will be charged. anyway. worst experience of life.My daughter is in love with Harry Potter and was frustrated. detail: the non-alcoholic drink was just for her and they gave just one for the 3 of us, even though we were entitled to a drink with alcohol. anyway. We dont recommend it.

The bartenders didnt know any of the Halloween drinks. With bewilderment they looked at the Halloween menu and said they couldnt make 80% of the drinks cause they werent stocked. My boyfriend and I were looking for Halloween atmosphere (we are gay) but walked into a bar that was lost between a gay bar, fall atmosphere, and a Halloween decoration.. we had a miserable time and once we got the drinks they werent what was described and they were made insanely sloppy compared to what was described.. and this is sad cause the downtown potion making classes made the cauldron nice. The flatiron location was absolutely terrible. Sad the other location closed cause this location was one of the worst experiences in my life.

It was so much fun going here and making potions, cant wait fir my next trip to New York because I would love to do this again. While I was there I was the first to try a new drink Damians charm which looks like Butterbeer but tasted like fresh herbs and flowers. I can tell it isnt for everyone but I enjoyed the drink thoroughly. Definitely worth the visit.

Went on Friday the 13th with a friend. They had the coolest looking specialty drinks. I got an espresso martini, which was the best one Ive had anywhere. The atmosphere was great. The cheese platter was packed and delicious. But the best part of the whole experience was the bartender working that day. Wish I would have gotten his name. We came in at 3 p.m., and he was hands down the nicest, most polite bartender in the city. Highly recommended The Cauldron. On our next visit, we will try the mixology class.

We visited this past weekend after our harry potter filled day and it was the the best part of the trip! if you haven’t already, definitely take the potion making class! Our potion master RRRRRRRAMONA✨ was absolutely fantastic! The staff were super nice and the atmosphere was incredible. The science behind the drink making was so cool to watch and to experience making. We made The Foragers Cauldron and The Maleficaria, also ordered an Ectoplasm shot and Bubbling Shot of Death, all were delicious! The decor, staff, and experience were absolutely incredible and we definitely plan on coming back soon. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience ❤️

As a show its fantastic. The atmosphere and wands are just awesome. I will say the drinks could use work though. They were ok but I wouldnt come for just that. They came off too strong of citric acid and not just lemon. But to make our own potion was fun.I recommend it, but I hope they workshop the recipes.

Had gone to the Cauldron on Stone St last year. Was much more impressed there then here tonight. The food was good, but not magical. I remember being enchanted by the menu last time. This time my reaction was, thats it? A bit underwhelming.. Service was ok and unrushed, but thats mainly because the place was nearly deserted, despite it being 8pm on a Saturday night. Expected more magic. Got an ok dinner, though. Probably wont be going back.

Had the unfortunate experience to have to cancel our reservation due to a death in the family on the night of our July reservation.It’s now September. We had asked for a sort of voucher for future use but have had zero communication from management after a phone call and emails.Looking online, they have overwhelming availability, so it seems greed is at play.Do not recommend these people.

Went here for a Bday celebration with my daughter. Did the potion making class with Potions Master David. How fun and exciting. We made 2 potions (cocktails) which were delicious. My daughter doesnt drink and they had matching mocktails made exactly the same way for the experience. The atmosphere was very witchy and it was one of the best bday experiences ever. They do have other special events and I highly recommend checking them out. They have locations all around the world so no matter where you are you will probably be near one. Go check it out. If you lean to pagan, witchy or have kids (or you) love Harry Potter this will be a special experience.

This place is a scam! I booked with them, they cancelled my reservation a week before and I never got my money back. This was in June! I’m out $700 and no one will return an email or phone call! Absolutely ridiculous! Don’t book here!

Drinks take FOREVER to come out, service is extremely SLOW. Food was definitely okay. Atmosphere is great but the restaurant really needs to get it together especially knowing it wasn’t busy as much.

Been wanting to try the potion making class for the longest time. Finally got the chance to go. Its was Sooooo much fun. Professor David was the best. The drinks were strong. The food was great. Just a magical time. Already bugging people to go again.

Please do not do business with this company. Im waiting on a nearly $500 refund due to them permanently closing the Chicago location. They should never have created my event as I paid on June 12th and was contacted that they were closing permanently on June 17th. Initially they contacted me as if they would be getting my refund promptly. Middle of July and all Im getting is crickets. I called the NYC location and they said the money would be back by the end of July. Went to call again at the end of the month and they no longer have a phone number to reach anyone for help only a chat service. Nobody is responding to my requests for a refund. Do yourself a favor and stay far away! Id be happy to remove this post once someone contacts me and rectifies this situation.

We embarked on an amazing potion making journey with Faith and it was awesome. A fun and very unique experience to say the least. Worth the money and the time. Learn how to make cool potions you can transform into cocktails. Loved it! Thank you FAITH! She’s the best Potion Master.

This was such a fun experience for my friends Birthday! Our potion master Nevy was very attentitive. She helped us kindly with every question and request! The drinks were a lot of fun and easy to make. Id definitely recommend coming here at least once. But Im sure Ill be back!

Going in I knew this would be a cheesy and overpriced experience, but my friends wanted to do it so I figured why not. It was worse than I could ever imagine.First off, the drinks were absolutely disgusting. They tasted like college party jungle juice that is a combination of whatever was found in the frat house kitchen. The welcome drink was so sugary, it was not drinkable. The cocktails we made were not any better. One was so terribly sour the server had to bring simple syrup to make it possible for us to even swallow it. We believe they didn’t properly measure the ingredients they gave us to mix. Ultimately there was not a single cocktail that any one of us managed to finish. What a waste of money.If it wasn’t already so pricey, they do a ridiculous recommended 20% tip at the end. You are literally doing all the work and making the cocktails yourself. Why the hell would I tip on that?The ambience of the place just looks like “grandma’s house” where they tried to decorate it with an old antique style. Also the credit card hold for their cheap Party City wand was absolutely ridiculous. Save your money and go spend it on a nice dinner instead.

I visited the Cauldron this weekend to celebrate my daughters 7th birthday. Wanted to do an afternoon tea that is Halloween themed. My potion master server was David. He made this event so interactive, engaging , magical and memorable. It truly was a special event for my daughter. Even though he was tending to several tables, David made my daughter feel like he was just serving her. David even brought tea cups for our American girl dolls. The tea sandwiches was delicious and accommodated to our dietary request. I highly recommend the Cauldron as it is kid friendly. We both truly had a special mother and daughter magical tea time...

Oh my. We have been here twice in the last TWO days. We’ve done both the hot chocolate AND the cocktail experiences, and both were so much fun. Nevy, specifically, was there both times and she was so much fun! So easy to talk to and is so engaging, animated, and vibrant with all of her guests. The drinks for the cocktails were delicious. An absolute favorite destination this trip and would totally come back!

My sister and I came here for the potion making class and it was so fun! The bar itself is beautiful and decorated perfectly. The staff is so personable and helpful. The drinks are amazing! I suggest the forgers cauldron!

I booked my sister’s bridal shower here for $1500 for 8 people. According to the manager, they were short staffed and needed to put us on high tops and bar stools next to the bar without a server. The manager helped us when she could but she had a lot going on too. I prepaid for the event and we did not receive at least $500 of what was already paid for. Sent multiple emails over the past few months to the event coordinator and management and was completely ghosted.

Potion master David makes this experience the most magical one ever!!! 10/10 recommend!!! Went to both locations but having David as our potion master at the Flatiron location honestly made it so much more fun he makes the whole experience feel like you are in a real potion school loved ever second of it!

This place brought back childhood memories for me. The staff is awesome, the drinks are delicious, and the entire process of making your drinks is so cool and innovative. We had Faith as our potions master and she was the best. 10/10 recommend for anyone who wants to experience a unique, fun night in nyc.

I came here on vacation from California! My sister and I are staying next door and we’ve made this our spot the entire trip. The manager Dominick, the bartenders Nico and Roman and Mohammad have made my trip so enjoyable! I came here for vacation but this has been my favorite experience!

The experience was cool but we had some issues with our servers. They seemed to have trouble coordinating and messed up the ingredients and we spent a lot of time trying to get that fixed. And then they told us they were charging a 20% tip, which felt pretty forced. This was already very pricey and given the ingredients issue I wish we were given a choice. Would have probably tipped nicely anyway it just felt very weird after all of that to not even give us an option...

We had a wonderful experience at the Cauldron with the Hot Chocolate experience. Because of our schedule changes, we needed to ask twice to adjust the time of our reservation. The team was incredibly warm and accommodating, making it happen for us even though I know it was inconvenient for them. My kids loved the atmosphere and our host was terrific. A homerun!

From the moment we walked in Halloween night we were looked after. Matt at the front got us situated at the bar, Jack the bartender entertained us with his humor and conversation, and Jan (or Jen) not really sure took care of our food and drink order. Everyone was very nice and friendly on a night that is usually a little crazy. Thanks guys for a fun experience. We will definitely come back now that you are in a more convenient location.

The service is always so warm and friendly, I have come here three times now and I love it. Came for the first time to do potions, second and third did a wizard afternoon tea. Potions is super fun and interactive, definitely a unique experience! Tea is a super chill tea party with delicious treats and all you can drink tea, in whatever combination you can think of. Was fun for both a birthday trip with my girls and a unique experience for my parents. If youre looking for a warm and welcoming space with whimsical events, definitely give one of their experiences a try. Im looking forward to coming to a drag night next!! ❤️

Tourist trap, do not waste your money.We had a class booked to start at 6pm, staff were not prepared and all over the place it took 45 mins for the class to start. It was very disappointing and not worth the almost $100 we each paid. Drinks were horrible and the set up was absolutely awful.

I have been wanting to try out this experience for a while but have not been able to make time for it on the last couple of visits but this was totally worth the wait!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived and checked in for our reservation. When we were taken to our potions class we met Nevy and her energy, friendliness and attentiveness through out the experience was just the icing on the cake for an amazing visit. The drinks and shots were delicious and the process of making them was so fun! We will definitely make another visit to this location on our next trip to NYC.

Such a fun experience! We did the Magical Hot Chocolate package, and we had such a lovely time. The hot chocolate was delish, as was the complimentary juice, and we had a blast mixing and matching all our flavors while dressed in our wizard robes. The staff was awesome and made sure we had a great time and offered to take our pictures for us without our even asking. Would definitely go back and do this again.

We went there and it was HORRIBLE! The bathroom door was broken PS : At the Philly location. Also, we saw there was cheap products in our drinks. In my opinion, IT WAS A HOT MESS! HORRIBLE! Never coming here again. We also called them.

We went to an afternoon “Make Your Own Hot Chocolate” on New Year’s Eve. It would have been better to buy some Swiss Miss packets and watered down milk, because that was the consistency of the “magical potion” we paid for…When we entered, no one greeted us, because the staff was too busy chatting and when we finally got to the back, the guy behind the bar was still setting up and talking loudly about getting stuff from the storeroom. SO atmospheric. Not to mention the loud trivia night happening in the bar that was very apparent because the door between the two rooms was left ajar.The elfin hostess was nice and trying her best but was set up for failure with no support staff, not enough ice for drinks, cold cauldrons with (as previously stated) watered down milk, and flavor droppers that were sticky and with the labels missing. We mixed in the powdered chocolate but it didn’t mix well because the “milk” wasn’t hot. We had to ask her what some of the flavors were because it was a mystery. She said she didn’t really know and took a dropper, put a drop in her hand, licked it and said “well, that’s raspberry, so the other must be S’mores!” Wow. Just wow. She tried, I guess.We barely drank any of our “hot chocolate” and really couldn’t wait to leave, so it was kind of nice when they decided to hustle us out after an hour for the next batch of unlucky patrons. But before we left, we were told that we were being charged a 20% gratuity and needed to sign but “you can add more if you want to” wink wink. Seriously? A forced gratuity and then begging for more? Again… just wow.My suggestion is to go to Food Emporium and get some Nestle’s and Reddi Whip and cuddle under a blanket at home watching “Labyrinth.”

We went out for drinks on our Anniversary. The host accommodated us at the bar, we were an hour early for our reservation so I really appreciated it. The drinks were delicious and really well balanced, the bartender was handling everything so well despite how busy it was, he looked like he was training 2 guys at the same time yet we still got prompt service. Miss Celestina was an absolute gem, I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. Interior was very cool, too dark for photos but the bar has a massive tree statue running through it. Excellent times.

So if you’re anything like me and you YouTube this place and watch the videos before you came it’s nothing like that. Definitely not interactive. All you do is make your drinks yourself. If only two of you go, you’ll be seated at a table with two other people and you’ll have to decide which total strangers what you’d like to drink for your potions. The place isn’t decorated like it shows online it’s decorated a little bit but kind of like somebody’s house for Halloween, the food was shitty as hell They also charge gratuity on the tickets on top of what you eat while you’re there

My group had a 9:30pm reservation and we never were seated. They told us at 9:30 that we would have to wait 10 min. At 10:30pm, after standing for an hour, they gave our table away to a group that had just walked in. Whenever we inquired about when our table would be ready, the worker would just say “everyone else had to wait.” While I totally understand that bars may get busy and things may not go according to schedule, having customers wait over an hour with zero sympathy and zero updates is unacceptable. We ended up leaving to go to another bar because WE WERE NEVER SEATED EVEN WITH A RESERVATION. Drinks were also way too sweet and included an automatic 20% gratuity which unfortunately we did not notice til later. Horrible experience overall.

This was an overall fun experience that was recommended to me by my daughter who had gone about a year ago. At the end of the day this is a magic (D&D / Harry Potter) themed Tiki Bar with a speakeasy twist. Overall fun place that would appeal to people that are into magic, and magic type theming, I am not one of those but enjoyed the atmosphere, along with making and trying the potions.Two things that would have made this experience better, for me anyway.When you arrive it looks like you are in the wrong place (speakeasy feel) but when you check in they are pretty open about you being in the right place. What would make this a little more fun is if they made it feel more secret that you are in the right place, then gave you a talisman (coaster, folded napkin, any almost no value object) and told you to display it so someone will know to summon you.Something that is totally missing from the Tiki Bar formula was the ability to purchase a mug as a souvenir of your visit. Honestly this was the one part of the experience that disappointed me the most. I really wished I could have had the ability to purchase a Cauldron, or mythical creature themed Tiki Mug. Management should not kid themselves, you are a Tiki Bar, so dig in and source then sell mugs themed to your establishment that maybe even have your name on them. Think about it, I am complaining that there wasnt a high profit cash grab item to buy.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IF YOU EXPECT TO COME HERE FOR THE HALLOWEEN THEMED AMBIANCE OR DRINKS :(came to this place to get a couple Halloween themed drinks as announced in their website. Once we got there every single drink that was advertised and we asked the the bartender he said they couldn’t do it because they didn’t know and didn’t have the ingredients, after several drink choices that they didn’t have the bartender very annoyed showed us the Drinks menu, so we thought okay they will shelves this ones, but again almost every single one of the drinks we asked we were told they couldn’t do it, finally went for the only drink on the menu they could do. However the drink was nothing like described on the menu, the drink was very poorly done and only tasted bourbon on ice and super strong that I couldn’t drink. $22 for a drink that was horrible and an horrible place with bad service.I walked out of there without even finishing 50% of my drink that’s how bad it was.Walked down the block and walked into Mamazul and got a no frills delicious drink for much less and stellar service.

I came with a dinner reservation with 3 other people and they tried to sit us at a tiny table between 2 other packed tables. We asked for another table and were given one, but the service just got worse after that. The menus we received were stained and sticky from prior drink spills. When we ordered drinks, we were told none of the beer was cold. We were asked for food orders but then the waiter only took one order of chicken tenders and walked away, leaving the rest of the table confused as to when wed be able to order. While the waiter was amicable during the intro, the service was geniunely terrible. The drinks were pretty but not tasty. At least the Halloween decor was cool.

Our experience was, in a word, disappointing. We ALMOST booked the christmas potion class, and I cannot express enough how relieved I am that we didnt. Its a tiny dive, and we had terrible service in addition to the WORST drinks wed ever had. We budgeted to splurge, but we just forced down our $15 assault to the senses and got out of there. Ended up spending $40 because they added a 20% gratuity to reward their poor service.

Came here last night with my boyfriend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary with the potion class. Very fun! The drinks came out tasty and were very easy to make with the detailed instructions. Our potion master, Griffon, was adorable and delightful. Food was pretty good too! Hit the spot when drinking all night haha. Def would come back for another potion class :)

We paid $150 for the Halloween potions experience. They started us an hour late and in the bar area on high top tables instead of the back room allotted for the experience. The waitress barely said a word to us, didn’t give us the included witches hats, told us to point our fingers at the ceiling instead of giving us the included wands, and then plopped a drink in front of us without saying what it was. Then we get a cauldron and a crate of ingredients that barely fit on the little bar table and she says to “follow the instructions they should be straight forward”. They clearly overbooked because we see another class go into the space with an instructor at the same time and nothing is said to our group on sticky high top tables.We got up and asked for a refund tbd if we get it but that was a horrible experience.UPDATE: the guy working there told me he’d refund me but he didn’t. Check your card statements lol

What a fun experience!! David the Potion Master was a perfect balance of “in character” and winking — and made the actual cocktail making experience fun and easy for us. He’s a natural. And the good news is that there is no trade off between the quality of the cocktails — and the magic of making them. This would be a great activity for a party of any kind… but we just came for the start of a date night. Highly recommend!!!!!

It has a huge drink, entertainment, and terot/goth/punk community. You all would be an instant hit. Avarge cocktails and not justifible forced 20% tip. You will have 2 mediocre cocktails and pay $110 for that. I really wish I was asked for the tip instead of forcing it. Still feels like Ive been robbed.I will start with the good part - for the majority, its probably a good experience! I can see how fun it is if you never tried anything like this. I wanted to try it for a few years! Unfortunately, it came out to be nothing but disappointment.The building & the room they moved in(previously from Stone St) is outdated and looked terrible inside. The waiting bar area is nice, but then youre taken in a very questionable room that was just a bit decorated. The menu was dirty & sticky(we had to apply force to open every page).The service was good enough, but the cocktails themselves were not worth the price. It was fun to cooperate and prepare them together however. We had 1 complimentary cocktail and 2 cocktails that we made, and they were just ok - too strong in alcohol and lacking any taste really. We couldnt help but think that if we stayed home, we would have made cocktails that would be twice as good.The price was high as it was, but I was forced to pay $19 without giving me any other option. I asked to give me a blank check and was given a check with $19 already filled for me. Unbelievable

We rented out the back room for our daughters 9 year old birthday party as we wanted to do something Harry Potter themed. The kids got to do the potion making experience, while the adults got to enjoy food, drinks and desert. The entire staff was amazing from the moment we arrived until we left. Master David did an excellent job keeping all the kids involved and entertained the entire time. Everyone had an amazing time and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to do something similar. Well definitely be back to try some of their other experiences. Thank you again!

I was really excited to attend this tea, I love magical witchy stuff and I really enjoy themed experiences. The potions class set up seemed fun. I will say that the decor and atmosphere was skillfully set up, and I don’t have any complaints about that or the cleanliness. However, the tea itself I found lacking due to the near nonexistence of the service and the quality/quantity of food. The waiter, despite being friendly and clearly trying his best, was hard to pin down and staff seemed stretched. We waited an hour for the food to arrive and were told the kitchen ran out of sandwiches, which I find unacceptable because all of this is done by reservation. The food itself was mediocre and not worth the high price. The bartender had an off-puttingly aggressive attitude and made rude comments.
