We sat at the bar here on a Friday before dinner in the area and enjoyed a few cocktails. The current list was more focused on warm weather, seasonal variations served on the rocks or crushed ice. We started with a few of the house offerings, followed by the bartender making us something custom straight up based on our preferences. The space is large and open, with a long bar and bay windows facing patio seating on the street. It was a little warm inside, which may make it stuffy on a warm evening.

Thank you to the staff of WeatherUP (and my fiancé) for the proposal of my dreams!! The back alcove was beautifully set up with roses, photos, and champagne ready. The staff was incredible making sure our guests had all the drinks we needed and let us take over the music for a bit. We added the Christmas lights thanks to two hooks, but maybe they should be permanent!

I love Weather Up.But Ive also only been there once. Was looking for a place to host my after party and someone suggest WU.Stopped in on a Friday around 6pm. Busy but not too crowded.I stayed for 2.5 hours. By the time I left it was getting busier. Its not great for HUGE groups but there are some tables in the back.Great service, friendly bartenders. BEAUTIFUL space. Its a cocktail bar so prices are Manhattan proper: $15 per drink. If you can run that tab for the entire night do it.If not, stop in for at least one or two drinks.Theyre at least strong!

Amazing drinks and a stunning atmosphere make this one of my favourite cocktail spots. Great for a post-dinner drink with someone special (or anyone really) or for a few drinks before heading out. Im particularly fond of the ceiling in the interior of the bar, the magically formed ice cubes, but mostly, the strength of the drinks. The only downside is they close at midnight (damn neighbors)

Cool bar, good drinks, definitely overpriced, but thats to be expected I guess. Service is horrible. Bar tenders and waitresses are very rude, and seem annoyed every time you order a drink. Dont they realize they work for tips? They dont have ginger ale, only a ginger syrup that costs 6$, you cant even order a whiskey ginger ale. Also the soda comes from a bottle, not a gun, so most the time when they serve you a drink with soda its flat.

Weather Up is what I expected: a nice cocktail bar. I loved the subway-ish tiles on the ceiling, and the fact that the place wasnt dominated by wood paneling like most cocktail bars. I definitely wish it was a bit brighter in there though. Service was friendly enough, although a bit slow. I got a whiskey cocktail that was a take off on an old fashioned. It was alright, definitely not worth the $16 price tag. I was going to go more adventurous, but after trying my companions more unique mezcal cocktail, I reneged on that (read: did NOT like haha). Overall for the price point this place wasnt bad, it was just sort of blah. For these prices, even a speakeasy has to produce a great atmosphere or one-of-a-kind cocktail; since that didnt happen here, I probably wont be back unless this absolutely fits the bill for some reason. Oh well, worth a shot and you can definitely do worse.

Our service took quite a while as they were understaffed. Our server had at least ten tables outside, which meant that we weren’t helped consistently. If you’re on your way to a dinner reservation or in a hurry, I cannot recommend this bar.Our drinks were fine but overpriced and from a limited menu where nothing stood out immediately. Bummer.

The drinks here were pretty good, I had they make me a couple of different things and they came out well. I liked the space and it had a lively crowd, kinda reminded me of the smith with the decor. I had the reuben sliders which were just OK, they needed way more meat, pretty much tasted like bread and sauerkraut.

This is a cash only spot. After the four of us bought 2 rounds of drinks and gave 20%+ tip each time - we were given a few beers “on the house.” We we’re surprised and thought it was nice. Turns out the server was giving us a round because he wanted the cash we otherwise would have paid for that last round as a tip. He tried to shame us into not giving more than 20% tip when we left - which was uncomfortable and awkward. The whole thing ruined what was otherwise a good night. So, there are many good places around, avoid this one.

Cheap beers, great service and good music. What else is there to say? Dont expect a classy place, you get what you pay for. Come if you want to have fun and if you dont want to care if people are judging you for what you are or wear. No one cares about that in this place, thats what I like about it.

Support small business they say, go out and frequent at local spots. Heres what you will get, pretencious servers who forget your order (a margarita) then comes back 20 mins later with a glass of rose saying, sorry your still waiting for your rose here it is. Massive thumbs down.

Let me tell you about this cocktail. Dark & Stormy. You think you know it, but you havent had it from Weather Up. All of their drinks are artfully put together, down to the aesthetics and taste. This particular cocktail came in a tall glass, a rectangular ice cube that filled the glass, a metal straw (!!!) and garnished with candied ginger. CANDIED GINGER! Ok, I might be over reacting but the drink was phenomenal. Like many artisanal cocktail bars with a speakeasy feel, Weather Up is pricey. All the other cocktails Ive had the pleasure of tasting here are also lovely but the Dark and Stormy remains my favorite.

I’ve always wanted to make it out to the original Weather Up on Vanderbilt but I never really happen to be in that neighborhood. And I never really happen to be in TriBeCa either but as I was there for a restaurant week dinner I knew I needed to head down early to try Weather Up Tribeca. After quick hunt for the bar (*note it’s right next to Duane Park - didn’t see a sign for Weather Up and at first thought it was part of the restaurant) I found the place based on the address and was happy to see it wasn’t too crowded. There were people there but as it was a drizzly night I assume people were scared away from going out…The bartender was very kind and not pushy - which I very much appreciate at a place I’m getting a $14 cocktail at.I had the Winter Cocktail - Anjeo Rum, Homemade Ginger Syrup,Fresh Lime Juice, Allspice Dram & Soda. It was DELICIOUS. very ginger flavored but even my bf who isn’t a big ginger fan LOVED it. AND there was candied ginger on the rim - YUM.My friend had the Applejack cocktail - Applejack, Apple Cider,Fresh Lemon Juice & Simple Syrup. Also very delicious, a bit on the sweet side but very refreshing.Overall, it is certainly not somewhere I will be returning to regularly (at least until I have lotsa $$$$$$) but it’s certainly a fun treat when you want to feel fancy!

Gorgeous decor and really just great vibes all around.

Typical shady behavior by a pretend speakeasy. First I was overcharged on my drinks, secondly I was charged with a falsified tip of $14 on 4 drinks (I clearly remember putting $6). I called my credit card company and quickly got this taken care of. Will not be going back. Also, as an FYI there is no way to make a vodka soda bespoke, and no reason it should take 12 minutes to pour; just pour some ice, water and liquor into a glass, no need to wax mustache tips or chip ice by hand. Basically fabricated lameness and the above mentioned shady.

I just moved to the neighborhood and was so looking forward to going here. But unfortunately, it was a terribly disappointing experience. My friend and I popped in late afternoon on Thursday and sat at the bar; only two other patrons were there (who had drinks) and us. The bartender proceeded to move around the bar tidying up but did not acknowledge us for several minutes; so I said hello and asked a question about the level of sweetness of one of their drinks and she said (not kidding) - How would I know? I dont know what you consider as sweet. Not a great start. We looked quickly at the drink menu and were ready to order and then waited...and waited, all while watching her move around the bar. Maybe she had a bad day or was in a bad mood but that shouldnt be taken out on your customers. At this point, we were just curious how long it would take for us to get a drink....which never came.To wrap up: another person walked in and joined the other two patrons. He was immediately greeted and asked what they would like to drink. Seriously?!? Are we in high school?? Im not sure if it was sexism or agism, or not-cool-enough-ism, but truly tedious and tiresome. We immediately left and went across the street to Tinys upstairs and had a LOVELY cocktail. Skip this one and go somewhere else - there are plenty of fantastic bars in the area and would be happy to serve you.

$18 per glass of wine and when we went up to bar to request napkins and more water for the table, napkins from the bathroom and glasses of water were rudely shoved onto our table while our empty water glasses laid unattended on the table. Also, this place only has a few food items that are all salty items to ensure patrons keep drinking their overpriced drinks. Here’s a hot tip: If you have run out of napkins at a venue like this, have some sense send someone down the street to buy appropriate napkins to get you through your shortage. Do not commingle things from the bathroom on dining tables, particularly when you price your menu this way. There are much better cocktail and wine spots in Tribeca…and the city at large. So, that’s where I will go…

Oh how I love this place. This is one of those spots where you want to drink everything because each cocktail is such an experience. The bartenders take their time making each drink, so patience is key. This is not some fratty pub, rather an adventure in craft spirits.I am not a big fan of sweet drinks and I like herbs in my drink. I sang a couple notes of what I look for in a cocktail and the bartender mixed up something amazing. Rum, mint, basil and a few other things I know I will never be able to replicate. Hip locals lounge / bar in Tribeca. After 9PM, this place is all locals and people on dates. The people watching is the best. The vibe is calm, upbeat, but not too crowded. The lighting is perfect. You never want it to be too bright when youre on a date. This is not a DMV. Dim mood lighting mixed with candles creates a relaxing hue.Bar is long. Theres lots of seating on the sides and tables / booths in the back. Standup areas too if you think your date is going to last like 30 minutes. When this place is bumping, its great. Sometimes you walk in and its quiet. Thats when you should decide its not a Tribeca night and just get an Uber to Brooklyn.

Its okay best describes our cocktail experience on tuesday night. We had reservations for Khe-yo next door to celebrate hubbys 60th and thought wed get all fancy with a crafted adult beverage.Fancy grilled cheese appetizer was delicious and helped to quell the hunger pains before dinner.First boo-hoo was that when I ordered the Rebel Flip Flop, was informed that unfortunately they were out of heavy cream (at 6:20pm in the city that never sleeps???) for the cocktail I selected... Can you say busboy run to the bodega? The waiter offered to put together a cocktail under the keep calm and carry on category and basically it was a well executed but boring version of a whiskey sour. He really didnt get what I was looking for - something exciting and unusual but I would say that nothing on that we sampled tasted as good as it sounded on the menu. Overall pleasant but disappointing.Hubby had the PickPocket - nice, very gingery - which took over most of the flavors but didnt have the subtle nuances that great crafted cocktails like the ones we had had the previous week at Planters House in St. Louis had. Mind you we are chefs, caterers and travelers. Never happy with vin ordinaire.Sonny boy joined us and ordered a Count Basie - as he loves sour and loves spice. Had a hint of promised jalapeño but no discernible traces of the promised tangerine - mostly tasted of lime with a bit of spice. Okay but not amazing! and given the price etc. wont be back anytime soon.
