Coffee is excellent, and the place is cute but gets very hectic in the morning, and pastries are just ok. You can get a cup of coffee and sit in the courtyard for a lovely experience. They also sell some packed cookies and nuts if you are looking for edible souvenirs or just want to grab something for later.

Not the best way to pack cupcakes people! If youre asking customers to pay close to $8.00 for a cupcake, you should invest in some boxes, and teach your staff how to package your items better! The staff was also in their own world, not friendly at all.

Yes, this place is expensive. We spent over $140 on coffees, sandwich and some cookies but this is a patisserie located in a 5 star hotel.6 stars go to the friendly staff here, everyday a service with a smile and they made a real fuss of our children.Coffee was to our European taste, pastries amazing and the sandwiches very fresh.Highly recommended!

All of our orders came on/in paper plates and cups, but that was ok. The staffs were nice and polite. The place was very clean, and while our visit, I saw one staff coming out from behind the counter to clean out the trash and such. We had a nice afternoon snack here, high quality and tasty. I am glad we discovered another dessert place in the city!

A small cafe that serves good cheese and spinach croissants and tasty eclairs. Make sure to try their iced Mocha it’s good as well.

The food was way to expensive for what you were getting. I got the Macarons, chocolate croissant, and the dark chocolate bar. My Macarons were broken and almost all of them had the same exact taste from one another. Only ones that were good for the red one which I think was strawberry and the yellow one which was lemon. The chocolate croissant did not taste fresh and was still cold after the man warmed it up. The chocolate bar was good but all the fillings in it tasted the exact same. The only good part to the experience was that the men who helped me were really nice. That doesn’t help the terrible tasting food I would not go back.

Love this dessert place and came here for desserts on a Friday. Chocolate mousse and Strawberry mousse were out of this world. Such a treat to the eyes and palette. Went really well with coffee.

Excellent place for a quick well prepared coffee / espresso. Also since the business is located in the palace hotel you can take your items and relax in the classic lounge just adjacent to the shop. Definitely a nice hideaway during a busy work day or unwind during the weekend!

Nice décor- colorful, well lit, cheery. It was packed when we went but the busy atmosphere gave it a vibrant, living feel. The baked goods left something to be desired though-in my opinion, too pricey for taste and quality. Tried the eclairs and chocolate tart and coffee. Maybe the savories are better.

Hands down the best eclairs I have ever had! Spinach croissants are good too. I personally wouldnt pay $12 for natural juice when I can get the same thing for under $7 at Whole Foods.

The service is fantastic. The food is very good especially the iced tea lemonade. The deserts are very tasty and smooth but not too heavy. The savory food is very generous with their meat or almon and very worth trying. A very nice escape from the fast paced manhatton sidewalks.

Pomme Palais brings Michel Richards world renowned pastries (back) to New York. This is his return to New York since he came to the States as a pastry chef to work for Gaston Lenotres NYC foray in 1974. The space, designed by Jeffrey Beers, is contemporary and whimsical if a little bit gaudy and corporate. There are a wide selection of breakfast pastries alongside to-go sandwiches, drinks, coffee and - of course - cakes and french sweets of all kinds (eclairs, macarons, etc. etc.). The staff is very kind (and dressed in uniforms that match the space). The prices are on the higher side but its all made up for by the quality of the pastries.Try the eclairs - they are the best.Get there close enough to 5pm and all the pastries are buy 1 get 1 free!FULL DISCLOSURE: I am related to Michel Richard (though in my opinion, that makes me the best possible reviewer since I could tell you right away if the pastries were off - having eaten them all my life).

Staff is pretty rude. Probably feels fancy working here? There was a pastry with no sign and I asked what it was and he said haughtily that the sign was there and then looked and it wasnt and then told me what croissant it was. Couldve at least blurted out a minor sorry.Pastries themselves are nothing special. I think Starbucks is better to be honest. Fluffier and fresher. Not worth the money at all.

Ive stayed in a lot of hotels and this is BY FAR the best hotel coffee shop Ive been to! Incredible selection of gourmet coffees, great breakfast selections, good selection of other foods and drinks including alcohol and very pleasant staff even when busy. Hands down better than any starbucks and in our lobby. Thanks!!!!!

It was ok. Not the best coffee shop ive been to but not the worst.Walking in and I could have sworn I heard a manager and a eorker make a comment about my friends and I (on whether we will buy anything). In case I misheard I ignored as I still wanted to try.Nothing to write home about. The regular coffee taste as if it has been sitting there. The espresso is not thr best. The milk is burned and not properly steamed for lattes. The cake is a bit bland and the fruit on top is a bit wilted.Honestly for the prices you can get better coffee in several places in manhattan.

Extortionate prices - €107 for breakfast for three of us, just pastries, fruit and juice. The almond croissant was €8 and was dry. The juices were €14 each. Absolute rip off. More fool us for not checking the the prices first. I stayed at this hotel eight years ago and we used to regularly pick up a light breakfast here - I don’t remember it being so vastly overpriced then.

We used to love this place and have been coming here since 2014. The croissants and pastries tasted superb as if they were flown in directly from Europe. Lately we have seen the quality of the croissants, sandwiches and pastries drop while prices have been marked up significantly and the shop space has been reduced to less than half its original size. For instance the 4inch chocolate cake has been marked up from $20 to $30 and the quality is not the same as before. Will not be visiting again until the owners bring the quality back to what was provided in 2014-2015. Do not recommend a visit for the price and quality.
