The store is a mess, employees are beyond rude, they always seems to be busy with their personal conversations. They also will make your order wrong if you order through any of the food apps then cancel because you complained. Do not recommend this location.

I recently visited Mr. Marcus and his team for the first time and ordered a chocolate cream cold brew. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel like a valued customer, with Mr. Marcus assuring me that if I didnt like my drink, they would be happy to make something else for me. This level of customer service was incredibly welcoming and refreshing.When I mentioned that I didnt quite like the drink, Mr. Marcus suggested adding a little more vanilla. Even though I still wasnt satisfied, he remained patient and accommodating. I then asked for some heavy cream, and that addition took the drink to the next level.Overall, my experience with Mr. Marcus and his team was exceptional. Their willingness to ensure I enjoyed my drink made me feel truly appreciated as a customer. I highly recommend their service for anyone looking for a personalized and enjoyable coffee experience.

This message is for Corporate and the manager at this location. I had the pleasure and the honor of being assisted by Mr. Marcus and his team during the shift hours between 5 and 6 PM February 20, 2023.His knowledge it was impressively extensive. The teams knowledge of how many calories that were in each pastry, blew my mind.The employees during this shift on that day, need either a raise or a promotion. Me being a cancer survivor and just finishing chemo, it was nice to see that humanitarians still exist.Excellent job Starbucks and employees at this location, on that date and time.Much success and best regards,Anubis H Abaddon

Reminds me of the Starbucks in Toronto.The very urbanesque vibes.Starbucks in Harlem needs fulltime NYPD or security at the minimum.The one across from Whole Foods Market actually requires an ARMY with M4 rifles.The no dining policy is great at this location, as it eliminates the garbage in the neighborhood from congregating.Ive been a loyal Starbucks fan since 1990.

Worker in the hat at the end of the counter took my order of a simple large black hot coffee then walked away. So he assumed the two other workers who were busy making specialty drinks that where ordered would make it. And so did I, as I walked to the end of the counter to wait. No drink came. After almost ten minutes I asked about my coffee. They had no idea I ordered. As the person in the hat did not relay the information. If your in a rush, skip this location.

Every time I come here the female employees are engaged in personal conversations with one another and dancing and laughing while customers wait. No sense of professionalism or urgency. The music is blasting like its a house party and even the managers are bopping and wheezing. Its ridiculous as a place of business. Had to leave with no coffee as it was obvious no one wanted to serve me.

Unfortunately, the female employees at this store get irritated and frustrated very quickly. If you order via mobile order its fine because you dont really interact, but if you ask the ladies a question or for some clarification they get extremely defensive with a lot of attitude and then get dismissive with the customer. Its a bit much to have to deal with all of that at a Starbucks. The only good communication there is when anyone walks in they all greet the person out loud. Im sure they are nice people, if someone just lets them know that its ok for a customer to ask for clarification or a question, and that they should not get defensive and take it personally. Ive seen it happen over and over to others too. But if you go down the street to the Starbucks on 118th and Frederick Douglass, they are all so nice and their communication is on point! Matter of fact Ive now started seeing many customers from this store at the 118th store and they share the same concern. I doubt anything will change at the store because their sales are high due to them being right besdie the subway station. So its convenient for people to order, and most orders do seem to be mobile ones.

Staff was unfortunately very rude and insensitive. I ordered a decaf latte for someone who needs to be careful about caffeine consumption. When I picked up the drink, I asked the barista just to confirm that the drink was made decaf. She very curtly responded I have no idea how long that drink has been sitting out or if I made it. If it says decaf, then it was made decaf, we follow the instructions on the cup. (As if they never make a mistake!) Then I said okay, sorry, I was just checking because its for someone who needs to be careful about caffeine to which the barista rudely replied if she had a problem with caffeine then she shouldnt be ordering Starbucks, because Ill tell you that even in decaf there is some caffeine. So, okay, I guess another reason not to order Starbucks! Just because someone has a heart condition or is pregnant or whatever reason trying to limit caffeine does not warrant that kind of rude treatment.

Will never go here again. The customer service is garbage and you never know if it’s open - regardless of what times google or the app says. It’s supposed to be open 545am - I came at 610 in a rush to work, the only open shop nearby. Two workers inside and the door is locked. They just kept shaking their heads. I’m pointing at the sign that says they should be open. She eventually comes to the door and says “we won’t be open today - no one came in to work” ……Maam what?! There’s you and your colleague right there? Also y’all won’t be open at all? She goes on to blame me for not understanding that even though the app says they’re open and they didn’t update the hours on the site, app, OR google “the app is not taking orders. Did you order from the app?” In this “gotcha!” tone. Unbelievable. This is a huge corporation not some mom-‘n-pop shop… what the heck?!

Horrible waiting time. I was waiting for almost an hour for my mobile order to be ready. Half of the order I received on time but it was missing one item. When I asked two of the customer services about my missing item they both stated that I have to wait. After that moment they was ignoring me. I received the last item almost 25 minutes later.Besides the waiting time. What I noticed today was that it was very poor customer services.

Ever since the Dunkin Donuts that was combined with the Popeyes closed down I have been coming to this location before I start my day. I bet they have been busier since the closure.I always order ahead online though, I know what it’s like to work at a Starbucks. The establishment is fine imo. I appreciate the service very much. When I come in though I hardly see a line.My drinks are very consistent as well.

I order a beverage and had an estimated pick up of 4pm. Upon arrival, the place was empty and only staffs were onsite. 20 minutes passed before I asked the staff for my order and was if I annoyed her with just inquiring. I was disgusted with the unprofessional behavior the staff displayed. I won’t be spend a dime on this location anymore. I even named it the “Hood finest Starbuck” location. The staff are inappropriate and won’t attend to the customers.

The staff here are friendly and hard working which is great but the amount of delivery bikers that come in just to sit around is ridiculous.There are at least 5 - 10 of them everyday and they don’t actually order anything. They sit in store and take all the seats to loudly watch YouTube videos.

Would be great if they made the drinks I ordered for pick up on my way to work the way that they are supposed to be made but they keep forgetting to add the brown sugar syrup to the shaken oatmilk espresso and I keep having to wait to have my drink remade and no one seems capable of making a proper matcha tea latte here either... Do better, consistency is not good here, and they get upset when theyve made the mistake... Its enough to have to dodge door holders and sidewalk sleepers here, then to not even have the correct drink and be late for work waiting for them to fix it with their attitude.. horrible start to a day.

Starbucks is starting to hire people from the same pool as any other fast food establishment. Its the pool with rude, aggressive and angry people. The only difference is that some Starbucks employees believe that they can cover up their rudeness just by saying hun😏. It amazes me how someone wants to argue 1st thing in the morning because tgey feel that im insulting them some how because I ask for a new cup of coffee because my current cup was cold and the lid was cracked😌. My only request is that if the employees are apparently the same everywhere now, can Starbucks start to also charge their same food rates as well🤔🤗. Oh, almost forgot to mention that my $7 sandwich wasnt even close to what I had customized. But, one encounter is all I had energy for that morning. Please, for the sake of all of us, either pay them more (hopefully get competent, non hostile employees), or charge us less.

Gross. Another person took my drink and walked away. Realized their mistake and brought it back. Barista with name tag Jay then casually called my name and gave it to me without any question whether the other person had taken a drink. Only when asked about that did she say she would make another.

One of the waitresses came to aggressively tell us that our table in the dining room was incorrectly placed. We explained to him that when we arrived the table had already been moved. She didnt want to know anything and continued to speak badly to us. The manager of this restaurant should calm down his staff.
