Music is crazy loud so you cant hear the baristas talking to youI didnt get my pecan crumble topping on my latte 😔Note it looks like 2 bathrooms but only one is actually a bathroom. Just waited forever and the guy came out didnt even wash his hands, he was not a customer as he just walked right out. Bathroom smelled like BO , looked like he just used the bathroom for drugs

I went there last Friday to pick up a mobile order at around 19:35 and the door was locked. I could see a young woman sweeping the floor and other workers around the store. I had to knock several times before anyone was willing to acknowledge me. They were signaling they were closed but I kept pointing to the counter where I could see my drink was set. Finally the young woman went and gave me my order. When I asked about it being closed before 20:00 the lady said the sign was wrong and they actually close at 19:30. The interaction was very rushed. On top of that, my order was not made correctly. This was my first time back to this store since the renovations were completed, and I normally have a great experience no matter what time I come through, but this last encounter left a lot to be desired.

This location is so clean, efficient and friendly. I spent all day here waiting for my mother to come out of surgery. The General Manager was so understanding and humble with me and my daughter. We appreciated him for his understanding of our situation. He even gave us coffee on the house.

Weird service ordered a grande 5 shots drink got in a venti. Asked the lady why she said its better this way since I asked 5 shots she said Ill get the most out of it...I told her thats cool but I always order the same drink no one ever told me lets put in a venti for you lol. Anyway she got me a grande but I threw it out anyway due to the weird way it was done..I buy this drink every day shes the first to mess it up. Eh what u gonna do live and learn wont come back here plenty of others

New review on the new space: Its offensively commercial and absolutely soulless. This Starbucks might as well be a drive-thru. Completely ruined, never coming back unless Im desperate. Good job ruining a good thing.Still as slow as ever.

Recently renovated fall 2024 to a more open concept. Has several tables and chairs outside which are highly coveted and usually occupied. It seems the new renovation was styled to discourage people who camp out and work/study for hours - the tables and chairs are sparse inside.

The only one who was nice was the lady taking my order. The guy who made my coffee was super rude. They didnt even want to give me sugar. Said I should have asked before, but I did. but I guess my coffee order was a little messed up due to the fact that I was buying gifts. I spent $24 and was treated like garbage.... I should have walked to dunkin donuts. It was raining tho. Smh why do stores hire mean people to serve people. No have a nice day nothing kind or nice. But Im dark skin and its Manhattan I got it. Glad I didnt get those gift cards to go with the mugs..... you know I was in a great mood just got my teeth done in nyu. the cvs had my meds so the Limon cake was a lowkey happy place, yet they didnt even put my cake in the bag bro 😩👎👎👎👎👎 Oct 7. 4:40pm

Date 09/28/2024 time 07:02am Saturday two lady working in this store. One lady both hand is tattooed her attitude so rude and disrespectful. Starbucks is very very well known friendly cafe but her(as an employee) behavior is so bad. I hope management will take care of her. Thank you

Very busy on weekday mornings, occasionally my food offerings are not available. Newer employees may work slower, but the mainstay workers (a good handful) are cheery, greet repeat customers by name and chat with them. Good place for laptops and tablets.

One of the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to ! Staff is super friendly and amazing ! They work very fast considering they’re in a busy location! I also have to shout out the manager Bill and barista Sam! A man was harassing me and they stepped in to save me! Staff here is awesome ☺️

Its a nice place. Its just that there are two really nasty kids, rude, stupid, and uneducated. Deliberately taking photos of others with a flash. Its infuriating. One of them was laughing.

Easy to see right off of 23rd street servicing Stuyvesant Town and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities. Public Restroom. Nice staff. We will most likely be going back.

I’m not sure why they mad3 this location so small, but it makes it hard to want to stay in store to enjoy your purchase because lack of seating, this location is across from a hospital and college so it was very packed. The upside of no seating is that the WiFi does work outside of this location as long as you don’t go pass the bike racks..

This place has really gone down hill in the last year. From not opening on time. Flooded bathrooms..sleeping vagrants..and music which I do not believe is spotify blastingIs this the Starbucks management fault or the workers? Just gets worse after initial review have returned all of the above with even some with cans of beer and passing out. Brought to management attention with pictures. No response. Music louder than most discos, asked to lower , blank stare. Shame only early opening coffee in area.

Likely the worst Starbucks in Manhattan. Service is very very slow. They are missing ingredients for drinks that are featured and dont seem to notice so they continue to sell. Even basic drinks like drip coffee take 20min to get out.

Food is good and I know they have that policy where anyone can come in and sit as long as they behave but I literally had nowhere to sit after buying my drink and food I had to leave because around 90% of the seats were taken by people using the free WiFi- that would be loitering in my book.The seats should be for paying customers as this paying customer is not going back.

Very helpful staff but there werent enough of them, so they had to juggle 2 customers at a time. Large and sparkling clean though. Nice seating area.

Ive been here multiple times, the food and drinks taste the same. The environment is great. Its rare to have someone annoying around, people are generally respectable to one another and the people who work there are polite and professional.

My main issue with this location (as well as another) is that it doesnt give or offer receipts. When customers ask for their receipt, the Cashiers act as if we said something foreign. Sucking of the teeth, along with rolling of the eyes, and a different tone than they had before you asked for it becomes noticeable. An example, a woman before me asked for the receipt after paying for her order.Customer: may I have the receiptCashier: u want a receiptCustomer: yes pleaseCashier: wait a minute~Cashier proceeds to push buttons as if she was going to print it out, then walks off and starts chatting with a co-worker. She came back to the register and referring to me said, next.~Customer: I was waiting for my receiptCashier: oh, you waiting for a receipt.Customer: yes!~Cashier starts pressing buttons AGAIN~Cashier: I cant print the receiptCustomer: So Im not able to have a copy of my order that I just paid forCashier: we dont have receipts.Customer: Who can print out a copy for meCashier: If you come back later today, somebody will be able to do that for you.Customer. So, I have to come back later in the day for an order that I just paid for without proof.Cashier: Yea, come back later because we dont have receipts.~as a co-worker passes the Cashier she tells the co-worker that the customer wants a receipt. The co-worker asks another Cashier to print it out on his machine.~I make my order, pay, and the Cashier says have a good day! I say, can I have the receipt. She tells me to hold on, goes away, comes back, then asks the Cashier that printed the last receipt to print out my receipt. Yes, customers STILL require their proof of purchase. We shouldnt have to ask for it or be given the run around because its refused.My latest issue with the receipt was on March 1st. The cashier said they dont print out receipts, but if I give her my phone she can screenshot the pay screen....HUH?!!! How unprofessional! Yes, I do have the screenshot, but a printed receipt should have been provided. A receipt is very important to Starbucks as well as the customers. It prevents arguments between Starbucks employees and the customer, over pricing and wrong orders, as well as useful to customers who use their receipts for job reimbursement or tax purposes.Perhaps the staff need to be retrained in customer service!

Stores ambience was set, but the Customer focus/engagement was not there ☹️☹️ even after finding out I was a partner, and SM was present. No thank you from the bar ptner, my name wasnt used at all and my Caramel Macchiato was not a quality beverage ☹️☹️☹️

Some of the new baristas are extremely rude, I dont get the order I want. For example, I would order strawberry acai but they would not add the dehydrated strawberries. She rolled her eyes and commented its not a big deal. I didnt make it a big deal.

The only Starbucks concept outlet open in the city boasting a stellar selection of reserve and other offerings you wont find in any other location or on the app. Great interiors and ambience and the best barista staff by far! My fave Starbucks to come and get spoiled by awesome team there Olivia, Tasha, Miranda, Devere... If you want personalised service...definitely come here 🌟

Terrible experience!!! I went to the bathroom and an employee that works there kept knocking on the door and then she said she’s going to come in kept telling me to hurry up I was 10 minutes to 15 minutes I was doing a number 2 I didn’t finish I felt rushed I came out and she said where’s your common courtesy? I’m very displeased I will never go to Starbucks again because of this incident such bad customer service. This lady deserves to get fired.

No white sugar but offer raw cane sugar. Doesnt taste as good as regular brown sugar (real sugar before it is bleach to get the white one). Upsell when they offer syrup

Always the best. Caramel Frappuccino. Service always friendly. Get the app get lots of free drinks too as you get your stars up. Best coffee shop around. And the WiFi doesn’t hurt either

The Drinks at starbucks have flavor and coffee! The drinks have a great taste. You can add anything you would want like almond milk or choc chips. They give you options. That why I love starbucks

The are messy with the mobile orders which take double the expected time (sometimes even longer). The place is not as clean as expected either. The staff is not as friendly as expected. Is disappointing considering this store is literally where I live but I prefer to buy somewhere else.

Im here at 5:55am and the sign clearly says that they are supposed to be open at 530am and the door is completely closed. The workers saw me and just kept on working. This is unacceptable. One worker has headphones on and the other has the music blasting. Hope that the manager sees this

Coffee is great, but this place is so crowded. You see your coffee sitting in the open cup, but before you get it 15 minutes has passed.

I just love Andrea she is the best always with the biggest smile on her face. Very Friendly, Listens well. Great leadership. Gives me what I ask for never gives me a wrong order.. she is always cheerful. Never upset or Angry. Im giving her 10 stars for her work Ethic. And Hospitality.

Ordered a pumpkin spice latte and received one with no coffee at all.... just milk and pumpkin flavor. When I asked, the barista insisted there was two shots of espresso in the drink and dismissed me.

Ray never fails to greet me with a smile and by name when I walk in. He only met my daughter once and also greets her by name when she is with me. His welcoming and warm demeanor is a great start to my day.

I usually dont go to starbucks since I am not a fan of coffee but a worker named Ray told me while walking by that there is something for everyone and I ended up trying a lemonade refresher and now I have my new favorite drink. Amazing sell from him he was very polite and knew what was best for me.He told me there was a new flavor coming soon. Now I am collecting starbucks cups. I would have never known if he wasnt so nice.

The employees here are amazing. Ray in particular has my coffee and a smile ready every morning - this Starbucks is my favorite way to start my day.

Hands down the cutest and friendliest Starbucks in NYC. The staff was quick making my grande iced matcha latte and I had no problems with my drink. I also want to point out that Ray was super friendly and kind from the moment I entered. This may be my new Starbucks spot.

This is a very pleasant Starbucks, excellent seating inside chairs and tables. I felt very comfortable seating here. Price bit high. But location and environment is excellent 👌. Customer service is 5 out of 5. It touches 1st avenue and E 23rd street.

Please hire a good manager! For years this has been the slowest place to get coffee in town. You can easily wait 10 minutes without even being acknowledged, even when the line is short. Part of this to be fair is a problem with all Starbucks, csshiers are asked to do way too many things besides take orders. But this Starbucks is consistently the slowest with most staff going out of their way as little as possible to help.

I’ve gone here a few times. I wish it had the two hours required to stand in the never moving line. I also love the glacial pace everyone here uses. Makes me feel like Miranda priestly. If you live wasting your time only to be treated with disdain. This is the place for you. I give 1 star…I know Starbucks is a horrible corporation. But this store is just beyond.

Really disappointed in how the Starbucks has deteriorated. It used to be a really cozy place to enjoy a drink, read, study, or just converse. Over the last year or so, it’s completely let itself go. They play really loud rap music over the speakers, it’s impossible to hear myself think. The tables are constantly littered with trash. It’s so disappointing because it was such a nice place before. I sympathize with the hardships brought on by COVID, such as short staffing and burnt out employees, and it shouldn’t be the staff’s responsibility to pick up after customers, but this once lovely Starbucks as turned into a dump. I blame the leadership, not the individual employees who are friendly and hard working. Please hire more people or something!! Fine for a drink on the go, but look elsewhere for anything more. Pull yourself together, Starbucks!!

Avoid in the morning- have to wait ages for your drink even if pre-ordered and there are not enough staff on duty. There are more in the area which are more efficient- this one just makes me late.

Starbucks on 23rd and 1st is exactly what they proclaim themselves to be: A welcoming, clean and inspiring environment--where everyone feels safe and included. The staff is friendly, professional and accommodating. Particularly Ruth and Zay. Ive had experiences at Starbucks stores all over running the gamut from horrendous to sublime. This location is assuredly the latter!

Great fast food Restaurant. Tasty and affordable. Clean atmosphere and SOME pleasant staff. Recommend to all. Except, Security guard must be a bit more friendly at the entrance. He stood there and watch me and my husband struggled to close our umbrellas and he didnt even attempt to open the door for us. We had so many bags in our hands and it was raining heavy. Nevertheless, 5 Stars....

I had to revise my review after a recent experience at this location.I ordered ahead and arrived at the correct time. I then waited for 10 minutes and my order was not ready—I gave them some time since it was busy.I then inquired about my order. I was then told they had no record and was asked to show my receipt. I did. That however was not enough and the Barrista ASKED TO SEE MY PHONE. She physically took my phone and then actually began to tap on the screen (I could not see what she was doing) from behind the counter. After a pause, she then said okay and gave me my phone back. Then proceeded to make my order along with other people’s without washing her hands.I was shocked by this unprofessional behavior. Especially the taking of my phone and using it. Then, also, not washing her hands.When there has been an issue with mobile orders at other locations, this has NEVER been my experience.Original Review:Good location, however, the service can be lacking and disorganized at times. Occasionally parts of my mobile order are missing and I have to ask for them then thus wait. Usually pretty busy due to its location. Decently sized for a Starbucks with good amount of sitting and/or working space. It is usually full though.

Terrible customer service every time I go to this location. I thought it was just a one time thing or because they are very busy but it happens at slower times too and is very unpleasant to deal with it.

I recieved exceptional service from a barista named OJ. Friendly, courteous, and helpful. The whole team he worked with stood out at this location. My girlfriend and I just had a miserable experience at a different one. This location is a model for others to replicate.

This Starbucks has a different vibe than normal Starbucks.. the decor is quite interesting, and normally not very busy..

I waited 20 minutes for a frappachino. My friends ordered and received there beverages and food as did many others behind me in line. I inquired about my beverage a few times. The fist time nobody responded. Apparently someone did the third time bc the barista responded rudely that they just said they were working on it and to relax. I never at any time was rude. No apology or acceptance on their part that it shouldn’t have taken 20 minutes....I’m just the impatient customer I guess

Sooooo big. Cavernous. So big they can afford to have a separate Mens and Womans restroom.Wide, cushioned stools. Ahhh... So pleasing to my behind.The perfect Study Starbucks. The music isnt obnoxiously loud and the seating is ample.The wi-fi is Google instead of the standard AT&T. It works just the same... just dont expect your auto-login to kick in the first time.

More than half of the time they get my order wrong. They also add way too much ice to the iced drinks or not enough. For 5 dollars a drink, I am disappointed way too often to be worth it.
