This new concept of mobile ordering at this location is just what the GM Augusto is all about. This type of challenge is what he the type of challenge he is up for. Today I entered the store and saw him at the coffee bar driving the business smoothly. Without two of his Aces, the flow was constant and smooth. I am proud to say that this gentlemen is a friend and someone who instilled the winning formula in my person, hardwork and dedication. I will always be great full and thankful for what he has done for me. I have known him for over 10yrs, and the winning just is the norm and continues. He will define the weak points in the business and build on Team work. Awesome cafe for the person who on the run and want that quick service. Hospitality at its finest. From this mornings experience, it shows the employees don’t read the stickers before handing out items. I ordered a cheese danish and when I looked in the bag, there was a coffee cake in my bag where it specifically said cheese danish. I didn’t know a coffee cake was a danish. Now I’m irritated on my train route into work. Couldn’t take it back because I would miss my train. READ PLEASE or if you are unsure of what it says, ask someone before handing out things.

Ive ordered here before and each time Ive gotten extremely sick. I thought maybe it was something else i ate that could have done it. That was until i ordered a drink from them today and it tasted completed spoiled. Ive notice the staff not wearing gloves and using their bare hands to cover the top of the drink.The Health dept. should definitely investigate this location and the staff.

Possibly the worst designed starbucks ive ever step foot in. Walk in, and the queue for ordering and the group of people waiting for their order is all mixed together. So you end up having to ask everyone whos already ordered if they ordered or if they are waiting on the queue line. My suggestion: put down a few stickers that say “line starts here” on the floor that cost no more than a few dollars. This starbucks is a mess.

Today I went to this Starbucks location and I was happy I did. They have a variety of pastries, snacks, coffee and lunch items/food.My favorite are the blueberry scones and Caramel Brulée Latte. The staff are courteous, helpful. It is a very busy location and some people are complaining and whining about wait time. The baristas are human and need compassion from those who think they can used their privilege card to get quicker service.

A great place to get a cup of coffee while waiting for a BUS (not a private vehicle Kathy Hochul!). Yes waiting for a Dartmouth Bus Lines bus. Would not have been there if I were not waiting for the bus. Id bet everyone in there was waiting for some form of public transportation. Have a nice bathroom. Hey Google. you ask about parking. There was none. No reason for it. Why dont you ask about public transit? Lots of that. This is NYC Manhattan baby.

I ordered a blueberry oatmeal and a small coffee with cream and sugar. Came with no blueberries and cold water filled to the rim of a coffee cup because they were out of bowls. I went back to ask the dude what that even was who then poured out some of the water and handed it back to me. I told another employee this was horrible service and left with the coffee. Went to take a sip and had to toss that too. How do you work at Starbucks and don’t know how to make coffee!? If the employees cared about customer orders as much as they do their lashes, maybe they’d great. Complete waste of my money.

Starbucks across Manhattan can vary - sometimes you get a small in-and-out set up and other times you get a beautiful, spacious set up. This was a perfect balance of both. Spacious enough for a meeting or people watching session. The coffee / drinks are pretty consistent across Starbucks but the staff here was very friendly and welcoming. Only drawback was the music was very loud so difficult to sit and read.

Interesting experience here today. Was screamed at by the morbidly obese and most likely diabetic person behind the counter that I had to wear a mask or I could not order a coffee to go. Although the sign clearly states vaccinated guests do not have to wear a mask. Amazing!!!

I love the Starbucks experience, except at this location. Management needs to train the staff on customer service and reading the recipes on the cup. Made my drink wrong 2x and did not even acknowledge or offer to remake it. A hit chocolate should not be made like a cappuccino. I asked for no foam and only 1pump of chocolate and got half full cup with all of the pumps.

Did a mobile order for Strabucks @ GCT while I was on the train coming in. When I got to the Starbucks-i knew something was amiss. It was beyond packed-shoulder to shoulder-and an employee was standing where you get your drinks, calling out names and apologizing. I waited 30 min for my order (a latte and croissant).Although the wait time was totally insane- the staff was beyond stellar. They were calm, genuinely apologetic, courteous, helpful, diligent. The manager handed out gift cards to people waiting, some employees started taking orders verbally from customers so they can multi-task. A barista who saw me waiting for a while-made my latte in less than a minute and it was delicious! The manager was great too-helping behind the counter-handing out drinks to customers. Didnt get flustered or defensive.So yea-def frustrated w/the wait-but their customer service is amazing-and for that-ill wait!

So I came in at 9:15am, already late for a meeting but needed food (any food I was hungry). This place looked empty and so I went in. ordering took less than a minute and then the waiting happened. This place took my order and had me wait 5+ minutes, for only coffee and hot sandwich. I pay no attention at first since there were many other people waiting but when the folks started leaving and I was still there. I asked them and it turns out they charged me but never got around to getting my order!!! I was really PO by then but controlled myself, another lady (I think shes the supervisor) went and got my coffee but took over a minute so I went around to get my sandwich first before going back to the counter. The lady then had the nerve to give me lip about me not waiting for her for the coffee. I will NOT be returning.

Highly disappointed at this place. Went this morning to get an everything bagel and small ice vanilla latte. As I bit into the bagel, it was fine. Once I went for the second bite, I didn’t realize that it was MOLDED! I didn’t have the time to go back because I was late to work, but I was completely disgusted and threw it away. I ordered my hot green tea today (literally a tea bag in water) at 8:50 am on my mobile app, and literally was still waiting at 9:20am. That is ridiculous. I was literally 20 mins late to work. If I could give zero stars I would. Baristas were horrible. Ordered a cappuccino and it was less than 1/2 full. The other barista forgot to make a regular coffee and we had to go back and ask them for it. It was not busy, staff was more interested in Eminem on the music than properly serving the customers. I will never go back, go to the newspaper stand on the other side of GST for a better cup of coffee.

I ordered drink of Mango dragonflies. Later I asked for drinking water. A girl gave me a tap water instead of purified water. I didnt know Starbuck serve a tap water for drinking water. When I contested, her attitude was bad. Why cant they have a minimal courtesy in service business. There was another cashier girl, I asked whether you serve tap water when a cup of water requested. She didnt know what to say. Are they just playing stupid or really stupid. This is another reason that I am not going back to starbucks.

However I have to say that today I did not appreciate the attitude from the manager over me ordering a large cup of ice water and a bagel. Ordered a Tall Soy Double Mocha and a toasted bagel with butter.The bagel did not have butter and, after a long wait, when inquired about the coffee, this had no mocha and was half the cup.Once I got to my office, tasted the coffee and tried to stir it because there was no mocha flavor. Opened the cup to stir the coffee and it had a piece of hair.Frustrating experience. Will not go to that Starbucks store anymore.

Live update 02/14 - the store is empty y took 19 mins to get a cappuccino ! Oh my…Nice, clean, spacious store, some staff are super-friendly. Orders are usually quick, but I feel like most staff in this store dont know how to make a cappuccino properly and need training. The quality and quantity of the cappuccino I have each time are different and not consistent. Though this inconsistency adds to my morning routine, providing some thrills when I try my coffee – what will the coffee be today? The feeling of winning a lottery must be similar to when I try the coffee and realize the cup today tastes GREAT and was made properly! Lol... If I order a cappuccino, I dont hope the staff pour a full jar of frosted milk into my cup; otherwise, I would order a latte already. Love this store; its so convenient for me to go there every morning for coffee and lunchtime. I hope the quality can be improved and stay consistent.

I gave the worker 20$ for my 7$ venti matcha frappe drink,And they only cashed in $10 and proceeded to only give me two dollars back, and when I told them that they took my extra 10 and put it in the register- they wouldn’t give me it back and said that it would be too much work to recount the entire register and gave me attitude, I lost 13$ because they couldn’t bother to count on the register. Awful attitude, even though I asked nicely for it back. I wouldn’t recommend giving cash to this register because they clearly do not know how to count. This location needs help or a new system. The counter is perpetually filled with mobile orders while people who order in store are waiting around. I waited 15 minutes for a cup of oatmeal before leaving to catch my train. The Grand Central Terminal Starbucks had no larger straws also no napkins to speak of. For a popular location consumers expect, no demands better. Hopefully management and corporate will make necessary adjustments for this failure at GCT also any of its stations.

Kind and welcoming staff. There’s a good atmosphere though it’s probably not the best place to study (for those who enjoy coffee shops to study in) as it can get very noisy. Also there are a lot of homeless people that come during the day to nap. Part of me doesn’t mind that they allow them to take a rest but at the same time it may not be ideal for most customers.

Outstanding customer service but there is a lot of homeless at come here and sleep here during the day and Starbucks needs to have a policy to where theres no sleeping or you will be asked to leave and this is like one of very few locations here in New York that doesnt do that policy and also theres a petite female that refused to give me coffee because Ive been there all day work on some paperwork for my work and stuff and she refused that about getting refill she said this is your last refill that needs to stop to everybody is a patreon once you buy something at Starbucks

I actually work in the terminal at Metro North Railroad but today I stopped at Starbucks by track 35 to get a hot caramel latte and the staff cheated me by giving me regular coffee. I went in today wed, Nov 3rd 2021And order something very simple, I waited about 30minutes, it wasnt that full/busy when I went in so my order shouldnt have taken more that 10mins I left because I was going to loose my train, I had so much time thats why I stopped and ordered but they made me loose 30mins and I couldnt even get a refund back because the lady at the register didnt give me a receipt. 30mins for something so simple. Yet everyone that was behind me got their order within 5minutes, Im not even sure how they missed my order.

3/9/2020GCT is my stopover going to and from work. Most of the time I pass by this Starbucks store and today is my first time to stop by and get some chips and cake pops for my daughter.The manager mustve stepped out because the staffs are in the mood of not paying attention to the customers, or perhaps they are just tired. Regardless, a prompt and corteous service is expected as a standard. Why would it take minutes for a staff to grab two cake pops? Oh, one of the crew forgot what ingredients/recipe goes to a coffee ordered by another customer. There are like 3 other customers waiting for their order and same as the tired staffs, the customers had a long day as well. The last thing we want to see is messing up our order and unprofessional behavior on the floor.There is always room improvement and I believe it should start with the branch manager. Check how your guys are behaving and how well they know the business and just remind them they are not in a playground.

Worst location I have ever been to. This is an incredibly busy Starbucks as it is in Grand Central with many commuters going to work, so I do understand that it can get packed. However, mobile orders and in store orders should not require a 20 minute wait! You dont see this at any other Starbucks or even coffee place. The staff is not friendly and often talks to each other instead of focusing on the high volume of orders flowing through the system, not to mention the distribution of drinks is always slow.Also, the staff does NOT listen to directions. Orders tend to be personalized, so it is important to read the cup to see what needs to be done. I order a black ice tea no sweetener, no additional water and not to shake it. It is almost always shaken and I always have to have it remade. This morning when I shared with the staff this was made incorrectly I was met with a rude attitude and I was asked if I remembered my order correctly. I did and it even read it on the cups sticker! I asked again showing that it was correct, they then said it was already shaken and they didnt know what I wanted them to do! When they finally did remake it they shoved the cup in my hand. I am very disappointed with the service here. This location needs to shape up.

The people at two of three registers were friendly enough, but otherwise this locations staff were slow and inattentive. Its literally a sliver of a room with no chairs and tables to attend to, so its bizarre just how inefficient this location is. One member made mistakes twice within the 15 minutes I waited for my drink, despite taking her time with the orders. Its really difficult to get an order right when you are looking away and talking with someone else. I think its nice when baristas chatter with customers. It makes the location feel more like home. However, sometimes people are just not well equipped to walk and chew bubblegum.

Pre-ordered coffee before work, they didn’t even make my mothers drink and told me I had to go speak to a manager then made it incorrectly and didn’t apologize, it was also ten minutes past the time the app told me it’d be ready.Horrible customer service and will never be purchasing from here again

Ok, I have tried to give this location a chance so many times but, alas, I have to leave this review. Plainly speaking, this is the worst Starbucks location ever! Ive been in Starbucks all through the country but this is a nightmare. Always something lost or not working, if you place an order beforehand in app, be ready to come and wait extra 20 min at least! You ask to cancel the order, they start making it! A lot of times the order was just partially prepared, so I still had to wait endless number of minutes for the order to be complete. Last week I just walked out with a cup of brewed instead of cappuccino, today same thing - walked out without any order or refund. The thing which annoys the most is when youre asking, politely, excuse me, could you, please, check that my order has gone through they answer, without looking at the order, its coming! In 10 minutes you find out that the order hasnt even gone through! Nothing can be more disrespectful for a customer than lying. Common people, your customers see you.

Been to a lot of Starbucks in New York on my trip here, and the staff have been wonderful and chatty, really helpful, etc... But this particular store was quite the opposite so I had to leave a comment.Staff seem to have quite an attitude and no consideration or care for their customers, instead they appeared quite sarcastic. I understand working in a Starbucks with long hour shifts can be draining, as it was the end of the day, but when you ask for the bathroom code and the first time it is mumbled to you, so you ask again and you get a more annoyed and sarcastic tone it leaves the wrong impression. On top of that, having quite a lack-luster and non-interested customer service, I leave this particular Starbucks a one star purely based on staff interaction.

They disregard all other directions when they tell you they are out of something. Wanted a trenta passion fruit iced tea lemonade sweetened. Were out of passion fruit so I got black tea instead... And thats all I got. No lemonade, no sweetened. AND they over brewed the tea, per usual with their regular coffee.

It can get crazy crowded in here, specially during the morning and afternoons. Drinks are great, just a little wait time if you come when its crowded. Its a comfortable space though to enjoy and get some work done on the labtop while listening to music. They have these very comfortable chairs in the back, almost like a recliner but it dosent recline. But its just as comfortable as one. There is only 4 of them though but they always occupied by the local homeless people who asleep in them like 85% of the time I walk in there. The Bathroom is always clean though. They have a reg cleaning schedule for it. Think its 3 times a day.

Service is not the best. I go out of convenience. My drinks usually take longer than other locations because it is busy but they also get my foods wrong. Today I went while they were empty and just cleaning, I said hi to get someones attention. On one cared. There were 3 people standing in front of me and not one acknowledged me. One girl turned and I asked if I could pay for something while waving the item, she glanced at me and kept doing her task. I was ignored multiple times repeatedly. Terrible customer service.

Absolutely the slowest service. The employees are the worst. Lackadaisical, the absolutely epitome of the word. At a train station people might just have some place to be but theyll carry on with conversations, doing nothing, while the line stretches out the door. The drinks are poorly made and the customer in front of me was made the wrong drink. Asking for the right one got nothing but attitude.Only spot upstairs with limited to no cellphone service so dont expect to easily use the app. Only thing slower than the cell service is their wifi here.

I stopped in on Saturday April 6th after a NYC visit at about 5:30 pm. I wanted decaf coffee but they told me they were out and not brewing anymore. So I ordered a iced green tea . While waiting I noticed that the sink was clogged and there was water and scum sitting half way in the sink along with containers sitting in that mess. The barista had another container inverted and sitting on the faucet which was flowing a small stream of water which compounded to the scummy water in the sink. The barista would grab the containers that were in the sink without rinsing them and they were being used over and over again from that scummy water. Needless to say I left my drink behind and walked out because I certainly thought this was disgusting and did not want to drink anything from this place.

Went in after my shift, ordered a venti , even tipped a dollar waited for awhile to get my drink.they took several customers that came way after me . This store has the rudest, most unhelpful group of workers of any Starbucks I have ever visited. And if you look at them the wrong way, theyll refuse to serve you. Poorly stocked, lazy staff, apathetic to customers needs and a messy and filthy space. Pass this one up if you can.
