Perfect place to have a drink before diving into MET or just relax after visiting everything around 90th Street.Cant comment on food (didnt notice a kitchen) but drinks are perfect & wont break a bank, especially for rail cocktails.Under $10 per drink - really good for NYC.Recommend: gin-tonic & gin Rickey.
Go have fun with the Fellas, make friends with other guys! Had a great time with the bartenders and other Seahawk 12s!!! The decor, old world hospitality, did it for me. My new favorite bar on Sundays! Go Hawks!
Great great bar, excellent what you want out of the place! Excellent service, atmosphere and prices. Barkeepers was funny and engaging. Locals were friendly. Highly recommend 👌
Great atmosphere, wonderful bartender conversations and a chance to meet the owner and be blessed with a drink. introduction to new york city.
Good beer, but very poor service.Bartender is Very unpolite!
Stopped in for a couple of drinks while headed to the subway, super glad I did! The bartender was amazing and went out of his way to take care of us. Clean and comfortable traditional Irish pub with plenty of TVs to catch the game. Highly recommend.
Great classic Irish pub, friendly and funny bartenders and cold beers. Couldn’t ask for more.
Great place ..especially on SaintPatricks day.And watching seahawks games
Enda is the nicest guy and really goes out of his way to make each guest happy and comfortable. He really enjoys making elaborate specialty cocktails like bloody Mary’s and this really yummy mocha peppermint martini perfect for the holidays! You gotta try this place asap!
The Carlow East was a fun atmosphere! We will be back! What a great spot for tasty beers and beverages! It was a wonderful game day spot to watch the Seahawks. Seattle area visitors and more filled the space. Some told us whenever in NYC for business or pleasure, this was their go-to spot for watching sports!
Supremely pleasant Irish pub, especially if you like sports. The bartender on Sunday was very attentive, friendly, and knows how to pour a Guinness. Not much else to ask for!
Amazing staff and plenty of drink options. This is a great stop for a game and ironically a Seahawks bar all the way out in NYC
Love the Irish atmosphere. Bartender was special and authentic. We appreciate the hospitality, thanks for making us feel welcome. Cheers!
Coldest beer in Manhattan. After having spend several days in Manhattan and hitting pubs twice daily, we started to believe that New Yorkers like warm beer.We were very happy to find COLD❄ beer here after a long and hot summer day at Central park!
Not gonna speak for my entire race! Hahaha but I’m Black. And I read a review about a Black guy having a bad experience here. I’m believe the guy but trust me that’s not the norm. My bartender was your typical New Yorker bartender. Tapped the bar after my second drink and said “At least one free drink”. Straight up equal service . And not just equal…true New York style. My first time and I’d definitely come back. Wish they had burgers is all! 🤣🤣
Good vibes, great bartender. We were walking through central park and decided to make a detour to find a cocktail and just randomly stumbled in here, turned out to be one the highlights of my trip, highly recommended
Don’t come here if you’re black. They definitely don’t want you here. I felt super uncomfortable walking in here and didn’t like how it felt like the bartender didn’t want to serve me willingly.
Been here a few times and came back because of the cheap drinks, friendly service and pool table. Unfortunately the Friday night bartender gets stressed out during rushes and becomes rude. He treated my group like he didnt want us there.
Great pub with friendly regulars. The bartender was great and they have very nice beers on tap. If I was going to watch a game at a bar in New York, this would be my top pick.
What a nice find! We arrived when it hadnt long opened and the weather was hot outside, so it was nice to get in something nice a cool! Its a nice setting, chilled and great selection of drinks on offer. The service was excellent and we got chatting to the owner, which we didnt realise at first. Very nice guy and he even gave us some T Shirts! I wore mine a couple of days later during our trip! We would definitely recommend this place!
Cool neighborhood bar with a decent selection of beer and they can make a pretty decent cocktail. The pool table in the back attracts some rather good players, it can be enjoyable to watch. Theres also quite a few TVs with mostly sports on. Also, the crowd and vibe tends to be really friendly.
The barman (mid 50s/early 60s) was rude and clearly hated his job. I cant understand how these people find a job in hospitality!
🏉 Nice pub to watch sports play pool or darts or just hang around and have drinks and pub food. They will allow you to bring outside food, but you must buy drinks. Best times are Fridays and Saturdays.
Super cute Irish bartender was welcoming & the atmosphere of the place was a perfect reprieve from a damp afternoon after a long morning at The Met. Highly recommend & saving to my NYC bar list 💛
An absolute must for an authentic New York pub experience. The owners make you feel at home, and you could sit there for hours. Can’t say enough good things about Carlow East!
Really cool vibe with a decent beer list (for this sort of place), pool table and plenty of space on a Sunday afternoon.Had a very odd experience, though: the bartender wasnt willing to turn on the sound for the Seattle Sounders match because these announcers are bad ... okay? Pretty odd when no other events were going on, and he was otherwise just playing music. Several people came in, asked for the sound up, and left when he said no. Dont quite get it when this is a Seattle sports bar — play the sound for Seattle games! Or honestly, just play the sound for the game people are in the bar to watch, when there are no other events happening. Will give it another shot, because the place was really cool. Hoping it was just this bartender.
Irish crusine is on top of my list to partake in when visiting new York.
Owner is cool and professional bartender! I order a fruity cocktail, and it tasted great! But just pay attention the different locationsOf men and women’s restrooms!
Got here before the rush and Sean was happy to put tables together for our party of 7. Drinks were quick and correct, bar tenders were great, would love to come here again. Sean is truly the best. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would.
Simply brilliant spot to stop off for a drink. Our bartender was Irish fellow who could not have been more friendly and accommodating in the best ways. Definitely would come back, came in as a customer and left as a friend.
Bar tenders are great. There is no need for a happy hour and as such they dont. Prices and being the only bar off Lexington make it a gem. No food but you can bring in any food youd like or have it delivered. Truly one of what we consider our local places.
Nice little pub. Staff seemed friendly and beer was at a reasonable price. However, Fox News on 6 Tvs seemed like they were promoting some bull I dont have the tolerance to swallow.
Incredible atmosphere, perfect service, great beers, real pint sizes (English, not American size). Come to this bar.
Never coming back to this bar ever again. From the feedback I got about this place that night... Supposedly the bartender was attempting to communicate with me while I was on the phone and he assumed that I videotaped him which wasnt the case... I was actually watching videos on my device while my friend had gone to pick up a phone call which conveniently was telling colleagues to come to Carlows East... All of a sudden my friend gets into a confrontation with the bartender and at this point, I didnt know about what it was in regards to... He kicked us out... And I was frankly confused since I even asked the bartender how much I owed.. People are way too sensitive with the devices nowadays.. And for the record, get over yourselves. I wasnt recording you but Im glad you reacted as prematurely as you guys did... My advice speak to me directly and get my attention when asking me if Im videoing you. Hope this review helps. Yes, This was the first time ever getting kicked out of a bar and assumed it was the race gig due to the vast confusion when leaving. I dont have many low ranked reviews on bars but this is unfortunately my first... Btw, one of their bartenders actually messaging me stating it is solely an Irish bar which is fine. Dont worry, its New York, theres other bars to go to. My mistake for going to yours.
Quaint bar located near Lexington Ave subway on upper east side. Not terribly big, but big enough. Opens up more in the back. Bar is sufficient. Has what a bar needs: beer and alcohol.Apparently a Seattle friendly bar. Bunch of Seattle memorabilia. Think the owners are from there.
Great Irish bar, with a truly kind staff. Felt so welcomed and watched the bartender treat everyone with such clear hospitality.
This is a nice and casual pub which happens to be very spacious. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly!Ive noticed that Carlow East is a neighborhood bar since there were plenty of regulars when I visited.Pro-tip: This is a great pit stop before and after visiting museums over on 5th Ave.
One of my favorite places. The bartenders are awesome, modern jukebox is available and theres a pool table in great condition.
Doesnt serve food but you can bring your own in. Feels like Cheers and very good drinks and friendly atmosphere
Great service with great music. The beer was super cold as I like. Great vibes.
Great place for Seahawks fans. If your a Seahawks fan best place to watch the games. No food but allows you to bring outside food. A Subway and newly opened taco bell next door. Dunkin donuts and pizza on same block too. Go SEAHAWKS!!
Ive been to this bar a few times in the Past with ok experiences. Yesterday in particular for the first time have I experienced what I would call RACISM at its finest. I am an African American male whose money apparently is not accepted at this bar. I entered with a female acquaintance after work which many of my co workers normally do and upon paying with a $100 bill for the two drinks which totaled 16 bucks I was asked (after my money was taken) if I had anything smaller. I replied with unfortunately no I dont and I was then asked do I have a credit card that I can use. I was trying to unwind so I said to myself what the heck, sure so I gave him my card. I then wondered why he did not take my money and wanted a card instead so I asked him. I said why wouldnt you accept the 100 dollar bill? The Tender said Because I do not feel as if the Money is real I do not knowingly own or do shady transactions to end up with counterfeit bills, but.. as a stand up guy it is always possible. But, there are many ways to determine if a bill if real or fake and the bar tender did not take any necessary steps to determine the authenticity of the bill, which was the newest 100 dollar bill to be put into rotation on the market (Blue tint, Blue Strip, all corresponding watermarks). I was going to go a step further but instead I turned to my lady friend and decided to leave. ended up going to the pool/bar on 86th street and had a great time. I will be filing a discrimination Lawsuit along with notifying Every last employee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art whom usually attends, of my experience in hopes that they do not support this type of behavior in New York City.
1st Time. Nice
Cute little bar, no service, rude crowd. Seattle Seahawks Bar in the Upper East Side....worst fansIve ever met, inconsiderate. Disgrace to the 12s outside of Washington. Please do yourself a favor and go to Feile off 33rd and 6th Ave. Thank me later.
Bartenders are all pretty chill, decent prices. A standard laid back pub type place. They dont have food, but feel free to bring something.
Nice and laid-back neighborhood pub with friendly bartenders. Id frequent this joint if I lived in the area 😊
I was not pleased with the service in the slightest. Upon arrival my party was antagonized by a barback who didnt seem keen on accomidating us. Definitely caught some racial undertones, Id steer clear of this place.
Visited several times during Christmas/New year 2015. Never disappointed; courteous, friendly, professional bar staff, well-kept beer & Guiness, good mix of customers. Well be back.
Awesome establishment. Friendly people and good drink selection. My #1 pub when Im in the city!
This is your Fathers bar. The staff is polite and attentive to your needs. Plenty of areas to hang with railings on walls to put down drinks. TVs in every angle.
Outstanding place for socializing with friends.
A great place to get some drinks in New York City. The staff is very welcoming and Sean is the greatest. We felt at home at this bar and will be back again.
Average Irish bar, paid $8 for a pint of Guinness. I went to watch the Seattle Mariners game and they instead had The Rangers on every TV
If you are looking for a good sports bar in the area, drop in here. Plenty of TVs showing baseball, basketball, soccer, something for everyone. Good selection of beers and spirits.
Great bar but I wish they had food. The waitress was extremely nice.
Rude bartender. I haven’t experienced such an unwelcoming bar in NYC.
As far as Im concerned, from someone whos done the Upper east side since the early 90s. Great bar! Everyone is welcome.
Good place to grab a quick drink after exploring a few museums near by. Lively crowd with a pool table. Fun bartenders.
What more you need: cold beers and football!!! All is well with the world.
A good place to chill and have a nice cool beer everyone is on they own business staff really friendly
Great place to get a drink with friends. Kevin is a great guy. Super friendly, salt-of-the-earth kinda person. Stop by and have a few.
Solid pint of Guinness and had FA cup final on when no one else did. Definitely coming back 😊
Great Irish pub. Cheaper than we thought it would be. Very nice service as well.
Perfect bar to grab a drink!
Great Irish pub. Friendly staff, opens early, nice spot to relax.
What a great place! Our wait Kevin was amazing - would recommend for good, inexpensive drinks
Great staff, awesome bartenders, everybodys very friendly. Its a good place to watch the game; nice and spacious and you can bring in your own food
Went for Monday night football. No food but its a great environment and cold drinks. They do also allow you to bring in your own food if you like. #GoHawks!!
Always find a new interesting character in this bar. Lol great bartenders, good service
Bartender was snarky and hilarious. An absolute joy talking with him. Would definitely come again.
Not a bad neighborhood bar at all after my all day visit at The Met, and ready for some beers. Bartender and patrons were very friendly. During football season its a big Seahawks crowd of all things. Would definitely go again.
My favorite Irish pub in the city. It’s hard to beat an experience like this. Amazing and friendly service, good pours, fun and inclusive atmosphere.
My friends and I went in here for drinks, the place was full and there was only 1 server which we had to call multiple time before he came over to us, he didn’t say hello and just asked us what we wanted. When he came back with the drinks he said $27 with an attitude and didn’t offer to keep the tab open. A while after being there begging Francis to serve us we noticed that they have a music machine so we paid for a few songs, immediately after Salsa music started playing the bartender Francis put straws in his ears, and started mumbling things about us, it was so disrespectful and rude that we couldn’t believe it!When the other songs started playing he lowered the music so much that you couldn’t even hear it (the music that we paid for).At some point I just had it with him and told him that if he csnt handle working at a busy bar he needs to quit because he’s so rude and miserable behind that bar. Even racist towards Hispanics. It’s ridiculous how this bar hires people like him, this man Francis is the worst person we’ve met in all of our lives.
Encountered the most delightful and funny Irish bartender!
Perfect Irish pub with the perfect bartender who gives u snacks if u behave.lol
The bartender at night is rude, uncomfortable, bad service and smug, not friendly at all .. change it pleasehe complained because he had to swipe my card 2 times and said I will not do this for the 3rd time..
Great Irish style bar and friendly staff.
Didnt get a chance to have a bite but had a lovely time sitting at the bar.Good drinks and great atmosphereBartender is the master of chat and banter. Taking the piss at every chance. 👌Top tier.
Standard bar, sports screens etc. Good place to link up after church.
Incredibly cool place and maybe Im biased because Im a Seahawks fan but very friendly clientele and bar staff. Had a great time chatting and soaking up the atmosphere! Will definitely be back. Go hawks!
Typical Neighborhood Bar, with very down to earth staff, very reasonable prices and (my favorite) heavy pour.
We walked past this bar a few times while helping my husbands daughter move to NYC and every time we passed it we kept saying we MUST go here. Well, eventually we did and boy were we glad. This was by far the BEST bar we had been to on our trip. The staff and owners were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were perfect. It just felt like home there. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Check it out. Enda is the best 🥰
When ever my cousin hang out we go there and have nice drinks.
Great drinks great prices great bartender
Wonderful bar. Everyone is nice and the service is exemplary.
Friendly staff, strong drinks and a fun atmosphere.
Im from Atlanta and was looking for a local bar and drinks were good and service was awesome
Great place for Seahawks fans !
As a Seattle sports fan, it has become my little home base whenever I visit NYC. Bartenders are super friendly and a joy to chat with, and so are the other patrons.
Friendly service and outdoor seating available in the rain storm!
Place is nice, the bartender no that good. And them don’t have food.
Seems like a cop bar... but good selection of beers despite lack of happy hour pricing.
Nice place. Great to watch Seattle games. Pool table.
The bartender doesnt even know who the Hawks are! One poster in a corner doesnt make it a Seattle bar.
Nice place
Love that place great place to meet friends and have a few drinks
Really great spot for a drink. Good veer selection and some good cocktails.
A true gem on the UES, with wonderful staff and lots of friendly faced customers.
Great bar tenders good place to have a good time.
Great bar to chill. Awesome bartenders.
Great place for an ice cold brew after work.
Nice bar to watch a game and enjoy a few drinks.
Great place! Staff and crowd are very friendly!
Great bar to hangout on weekend.
If you need a respite from the busy streets of NYC this is the place to go. INCREDIBLE service. Kevin was the perfect bartender and gave us so much helpful info on the city. Down to earth, genuine and funny. Easily one of the highlights of our trip. Great company and cheap drinks. Truly a hidden gem of NYC.
Fun little Irish pub which a lively and friendly crowd and decent prices on a nice pour!
Great Bar on Lexington Avenue between 84th and 85th Streets.
Honest neighbourhood pub. Good, friendly banter.
If you’re a black person don’t go here because they don’t want you here anyway. I went there yesterday a little before 2am. I was there to meet a friend. When I walked in the old white bartender gave me a dirty look. And signaled something to my friend as if we have to leave. So he did let me get one drink, but he made it clear that we had to leave. Meanwhile this bar closes at 4am . I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome at this place.
5 start to 8 pm after chang the crew. Need fresh air
Friendly placeWith great people, service and drinks
Nice little escape! Enda and kev are great. Thanks
Great place to pop in and watch the World Cup. Lots of TVs and friendly people
Best place to have a ice cold drink atmosphere is awesome great music and down to earth people cheers 🍻
This bar was simply wonderful! Queen Catherine the bar manager and Eithne bartender made us feel at home and welcome. Great service, even better staff! Highly recommended 👌
Good irish type pub with very friendly workers. Brian our bartender was super nice. Will go back
This is the best bar ever!! My friend was turning 21 and the entire staff was so sweet to us and created the most amazing environment for us. Moved tables to let us sit together. Amazing drinks. Amazing staff. The owner is so incredibly sweet. We love this bar and will go back every time we visit!
I been coming here on and off since the eighties. great drinking bar they just need to burn that Red Sox banner on the wall.
Go Hawks!
They show Seahawks games with sound. They dont serve food but bring whatever you want to eat. Its right next door to taco bell.
Great Irish pub feeling in Manhattan, very friendly locals and staff. Felt like a slice of home in a concrete jungle. Prices werent half bad for Manhattan either. Shout out to Kevin the barman for making us feel so welcome. Thank you.
Best bar tenders. Very friendly
Has a pool table, a good man behind the bar, harmless rif-raffs (like myself), and local cheerleaders with their boys a la some modern-day Greese Lightning.Maintains the line of old schoolers and the noobs. Thank you!
Terrific place for a Guiness!!! Friendly people most of the time. Quick service.
Great place, great service, we went with a group of soldiers and they treated us better than any bar in the city!
Helpful staff, got us seats.. buzzing atmosphere (it was 6 on friday evening!)
Nice old school Irish Pub.
Nice place to have a beer and play pool
Classic Irish pub. Good service for the bar team.
Nice glass of Jameson to warm me up on a cold day
Great service and prices. Just a good place to watch a game or talk to your friends
A great place for a sip and watching sports. Unpretentious and friendly bar tenders. Beer selection could have more craft options but there were still choices. Based upon a Sunday it was clearly a place for Seahawks Fans to enjoy a game.
Great place football n drinks .
Great neighborhood bar on the UES.
Enough space. The staff there is welcoming
Good beer, and relaxing atmosphere. Would visit again.
Best bar in the whole NYC, the staff is super friendly and the ambiance is really nice
Great staff, great atmosphere, and great prices. I will definitely be returning and sharing this place with my friends and colleagues.
How I pictured an American bar to be. Lovely atmosphere and a top bartender. Keeps the glasses cold and topped up. Average prices too
If youve never watched a Seahawks game here, youre truly missing one of the liveliest experiences during game day. During my last visit, I enjoyed $25 for a bucket of 5 Miller beers, and free catering (chicken wings, pasta, salad) during half time. During the week, this is a classic NYC style bar, with a fairly local crowd.
Popular beer joint by 86th Street. Im not big on the staff, but I guess you have to be a regular to really get their attention. Good for a quick beer.
One of the best neighborhood bars.
Nice standard Irish/English style pub, but a little small. Not too much seating beyond the vast, but theres a pool table instead. The bartenders always wear ties and are very professional, which is a nice touch.
Great dive bar. Seahawks bar but Ive never seen what its like during a game. Billiards available. Bartenders are the best
The best bartenders this side of town. This was my bar when I lived here. I come back twice a year, they still remember me. Always gentleman! ❤
If you like beer its a must.
Fun dive bar with pool (ask for quarters). They pour a good Guinness.
No food but a great hole in the wall pub
Thanks for the great service/bartender, you were very sweet!
2016 went into calow East bar with my wife made welcome by the bar man and had great time in new york cheers to you all 🗽👍
Worst customer service I ever experienced. In my life. No one should ever choose based on history and how long the place has been around. You cant cure bad, negative, condescending staff. Just look elsewhere, trust me - I dont usually bother with reviews, but this one is exceptionally bad.
Love Carlow East being a central New Yorker we share the love of the Seattle Seahawks. Someday I hope to share a game day with the New York City Seahawkers. Go big... GO 12s!
Great bar tenders and full of great Seahawks fans. Come early to get a seat before the game. They dont serve food, but will let you bring in takeout and sometimes have food brought in during halftime.Go Hawks!
Came to watch the soccer game today and our server was very kind and efficient. Thank you 😁
Nice long established bar. Sound quality of speakers is loud and annoyingly strident. Mostly locals patronize bar. Pool table is a plus.
Simple bar
The best bartender Ive ever encountered works here at 8 am.
Great Irish pub in the heart of NYC
Nice pub but barman was more concerned with his game of pool to serve us
Honestly, what a wonderful bar. Staff clearly passionate, especially about their team, and the buzz in here on a Sunday when the Seahawks play is unparalleled. Great beers, cheap beers, everything in between. Could not ask for more in a brilliant bar.
Shout out to Enda. Best bartender out here.
Thank God for this place. Im a Seahawks fan and this place is a home for the Seahawks fans in New York. During the Seattle Seahawks games which they do host gets packed with amazing fans and his hard to get a seat. Sometimes you got to come a couple hours earlier to grab a seat but its okay we have people like Pat who takes care of their patrons and fans. They have drink specials during the game especially Seattle themed shots for sale whenever the team scores a touchdown. Quick tip they even offer their fans something to eat during halftime but make sure youre rocking Seattle theme colors logos and spirit did you be a part of the amazing festivities. Best place to be if you really consider yourself a true 12.
Fast service, bartender gives good service, not very nice, not very rude, neutral guy.
Good experience on a Sunday night Seahawks game. I was visiting from out of town. It seems to be a bar for the few Seahawks fans outside of Seattle. Its a narrow bar that gets crowded pretty quickly.I dont know what its like the rest of the week. The bar tenders were pretty good given the size of the crowd. The bar experience was pretty enjoyable (the game sucked, but thats not the point).
The rudest barkeep I’ve ever met - pure Irish hospitality!
Great place to watch a Seahawks game
Pretty standard Irish pub. I stopped in here after a visit to the Met. Its probably the closest Irish pub you can find in the area.
Great time shooting pool. Great bartenders and decent prices.
Good neighborhood bar.
Amazing Seahawks bar! Energy was electric and plenty of TVs
Carlow East is a decent bar to grab a drink after work, the vibe is low key and relaxed. Over the past few years the prices have gone up a bit, and it can get pretty loud as the evening goes on, but its a good neighborhood staple!
Excellent service ,nice people, great atmosphere Fair prices and ill be back!
It was a very nice place, the service was excellent as well as the atmosphere.I will return when in the neighborhood.
Good local spot. Cold beer and friendly staff. Seahawks bar for football.
Very friendly, hospitable pub with a great barman called Kevin
If youre from Seattle and a fan of all things Seattle (including the people) this is the place for you if anything Seattle/sports is happening!! Even if youre not from there (like me) but love the place (like me), come on down/up to the Upper East.
This happens to be the nearest bar to where i live, you can consider me lucky i guess, luck of the Irish? Well im of half Italian descent, half Polish, and Catholic which makes me half Irish ? I think is the joke, and I can drink Guinness like an Irish fish, so I guess that still gets you something.ANYWAY this place is always open and they never run out of Guinness which is good because as I mentioned I drink it like a fish and have downed over a gallon in one sitting which is nearly 10% of my body mass so pretty impressive considering. Its usually very chill nice place to sit and drink and read and have a chat or whatever else you do in a bar, bartenders are cool, usually some good music going, and if there isnt you can change it on the internet jukebox, but as I have previously ranted elsewhere on the internet, internet jukeboxes are both a blessing and a major curse on all humanity.Yes also a good sports bar! Lots of TVs and every channel. If what you want to watch isnt on, that can be remedied! Only downside is it can get crowded during Seahawks games and other random events that can randomly occur any random time of any random day, and it can get a bit awkward trying to stand and drink with people watching some game you didnt have the time or money to bet on last time you were in Jersey and care nothing about, but it will be over soon I assure you. The good news is, at least if its a Seahawks game, you can still walk right up to a bar and order a drink, because, hey dont quote me on this dont hate me Seattle people, but apparently they dont drink very much. Not sure if that is because of or the cause of the absurd liquor laws in the State of Washington, but thats where weed is legal and alcohol is treated like a chemical weapon that must never fall into the hands of anyone under 21 or awake after midnight lest it be misused, so whatever. This is NYC, this place is open till 4 or whenever people stop buying it, might as well be a different planet, well thats why I live very close to this bar and could never survive in Seattle more than a week, welcome to New York.... Halfway between Seattle and Dublin both literally and figuratively. Halfway house, if you will..... Well this bar makes a Halfway House into a Halfway Home.
Excellent bartender, good bathroom, pool table. Only minus for me is the TVs, my pet peeve in bars.
Everything was perfect. Sean is the man!!
Love this place, pretty big bar and awesome bartenders
Good selection of beer, a pool table, waiters who understand the job.
Two words; Seahawks bar. As a Seattle transplant, I was STOKED to find out about this place. Its a great place to go watch a game and they order pizza during evening games. The place is packed wall-to-wall with Seahawaks fans that get very rowdy (in a good way). And free Hawkakaze shots after a touchdown. If youre a Hawks fan, this is the place to be on Sunday.
Terrible bar. My roommates and I recently moved in around the corner. We are all 21-22, working full time, fresh out of college. Since we are from all different parts of the country, the first time we went in there the bar tender turned us down because he thought our IDs were fake. He was very rude and disrespectful. Instead of asking us for ANY form of back up ID, he told us that the bar is 23+, which obviously was not true. The next week I walked in the in the afternoon hoping to find a more helpful bartender and explain the incident, but instead I got ANOTHER rude extremely condescending employee. He told me it was my partys fault for not having back up IDs. (we did not get a chance to present them originally.) I explained to him that it was not very wise of them to treat customers this way, because had the employes been reasonable and friendly, this probably would have become our go to bar for the next couple years, 2-3 nights a week.
Excellent little bar, with the best beer and music selection!
Easy going crowd and great priced drinks for the area
Good Irish pub even though they dont offer that many Irish beers. Pool table, screens and tables to seat.
Carlow East is the BEST Seahawks bar that Ive ever been to. Im a WA resident, and have been to many Seahawks hangouts/bars over the years in many different regions. Carlow Easts staff is second to none, and really added to everyone having a great time during the game. Not to mention they had a unique Emerald City Supporter beer on tap along with many other great draft beers from the PNW. I felt very much at home in this fine establishment. The place was packed, but nobody seemed to care that they were touching shoulder to shoulder with their neighbor. The NYSeahawks are a superb supporters group, and Carlow East deserves your business.
No food
Excelent pleace for grab a cold one
A1 service, Kevin is great and the pints are perfect. Also got all the games
Great selection of drafts and bottled beer!
Regular pub with Manhattan prices, bartender has a weird attitude..
Great vibes
I really wish I could give this bar a better rating and the only reason I even give it 2 stars is because of the 12s who showed up to support the Seahawks. First of all, unless you get there at least 3 hours ahead of the game starting you wont find a seat ... not because the bar is packed, but because there are simply not enough chairs in the place to accommodate the patrons. The beer is flat, there is no food ( at least serve chips or peanuts) the bartenders dont care what you think ... they have their local favorites so if you want a drink, you have to go to them, they wont come to you!! My husband and I were so excited to go watch the game and it turned out to be the least favorite part of our trip to NY. Wouldnt recommend unless you really dont care about quality, service or friendly staff ... the Seahawks fans are awesome though so you can always count on the 12s!!
Good hosts in these trying times. 👌
Good dive bar/pub
Horrible, one of the bartenders was dense and unhelpful. Asked for an id, said it was expired -- its a foreign one. Gave him two more with the same date of birth and refused them all. Also, they dont have a kitchen, so no snacks and no beer menu either. Save your energy and go someplace else.
Friendly, good offerings on tap
Quality pub with good people
