The food was excellent, the cocktails were amazing and the decorations were so festive. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area, such a nice cosy Irish bar and the staff were very friendly!

Wandering on to west 48th the glistening Santa and elk atop the Pig N’ Whistle called me in! The friendly atmosphere and history of this iconic location was alluring our friend group. The Christmas decorations welcomed us as soon as we opened the door and the waitress showed amazing service and we loved her Irish accent which definitely went with the vibe. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to grab a couple drinks in a cool laid back area.

Were big fans of the Pig n Whistle and have enjoyed their pubs across the city. This location lived up to our expectations with excellent service and consistently delicious food. While its a bit pricier than your average pub, the quality is pretty high.The cob salad was excellent and French onion soup was quite good too. Well definitely return for more.

Incredible art deco style Irish bar and grill. Food was delicious (had the short rib tacos and the chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese). The area and this place is literally swarming with people during the holiday season, but we managed to get a spot at the bar as a walk in. Service was incredible, and they had it decided out with Christmas lights and whatnot.

With twinkling lights and cozy decor, it truly captures the holiday spirit. Their adorable Christmas drinks, like The Grinch, are both delicious and visually delightful. Perfect for a cheerful night out with friends, this bar is a must-visit for anyone looking to celebrate the season in style!

The food is very bland, doesn’t really taste fresh. It kinda all feels like frozen microwave food, service wasn’t that great either. It took a while trying to get a water refill and the orders experienced delays. It was a very average experience and the prices are fine. The restaurant was nicely decorated during the holiday season which improved the experience a little.

Came in for a bite after Rockefeller Center and I wasn’t disappointed. Great food, great location, and plenty of drinks!!

Great dinner with the family. Staff was attentive and friendly. Pretzels with beer cheese app, creamy vegetable soup, a cheeseburger and the French dip were our choices and we were all happy. At the time we were there, it was a little quiet which honestly was a bit of relief after a nonstop hustle bustle day.

Foods great, been coming here since I was like 10, big fan of their French dip and grilled chicken, rotating specials keep the menus feeling fresh!

I love the atmosphere there, it felt like a hometown establishment. Its not too far away from Times Square but its far away enough to get away from all of the noise.

It was definitely a great vibe they sweet Chile wings are the best, the peach sangria had too much sprite in it because I was able to taste it but fruit was it Yummy

POST COVID!!! They have it all, The food is outstanding!! The Service is impeccable!!! My server Martha was amazing! Clean, Sanitized, Relaxing, Comfortable. They newly renovated the entire place including the restrooms. Cant wait for them to be back to packed house!!

Stopped in for lunch while in the city pretty cool little place service was great both the French dip sandwich and the blackened chicken tacos were pretty outstanding if you find yourself looking for a nice quick lunch/dinner check this place out you won’t be disappointed

This is our go to spot after work for beer and good bar food. The service has always been amazing and the waiters remember us even after the pandemic which was very nice. From the burgers and fries, to the steak, to the pot pie, you can’t go wrong.

Came in for drinks in a festive atmosphere. Did not disappoint.

Stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday evening, we were seated promptly upstairs, had a friendly, accommodating waitress, Amanda. I had the great Shepherds Pie, & my wife had the Pasta Special,dishes were deemed very tasty, even took part of one entree back to the hotel & had it for lunch the next day. We shared a New York cheesecake with raspberry topping. Rich & delicious. We even got takeout from this restaurant Tuesday night.

Good beer and a casual pub atmosphere with good service and no wait. Shepards pie was 6/10, with ground beef and not enough veggies. Apple pie al a mode was 3/10 with soggy crust and crumble.

Chicken pot pie was ok, chicken was chewy, not many veggies, not a lot of flavor. But the puff pastry top was light and crispy and delish.Friendly waitress tried really hard. Fun atmosphere!

One of my favorite places in NYC to chill! Great staff of friendly people who care and really make you feel at home. Located directly across the street from Rockefeller Center but not touristy. Awesome food! Cold beer!! Just a fun place to hang!!

First time ever in the place. It is outstanding atmosphere and food was outstanding.

I really don’t like to leave bad reviews but our experience wasn’t very pleasant. Don’t get me wrong the environment is wonderful especially at Christmas time. However, our waitress didn’t provide the best experience. As a waitress myself I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and hope she has a better day tomorrow. :/ I wish a better experience for others.

Food, atmosphere was great .. however, be careful .. a 20% tip is baked in the overall bill. The waitress will wait by you for the tip. When you enter a tip it will be for an additional tip. This can be overlooked .. so the Toast scanner seems like you are entering a standard tip when really its additional.Our server hadnt brought out our drinks nor food either. The extra would come up to adding that tip so comes out to 40% for subpar service.

Service is excellent and you get value for your money. Drinks are great. Ambience Is great. They remember who you are. I’d come here where you are known then go somewhere else where you are just a number. Try it. You won’t be sorry.

The experience here was great. my only complaint is that there was a big table in the same room as us with one guy who was laughing and talking so loudly that it was piercing my ears. besides that everything else was great. servers were nice, food came out quickly and was delicious. would come here again

Pig ‘N’ Whistle is the cutest pub! We stopped by for a drink and to our surprise it was fully decorated for Christmas! I got the red nose reindeer cocktail & it tasted great all thanks to our bartender Tom! We will definitely be back!

Gave a negative rating because we were overcharged for our drinks. We were seated in the bar area and asked our waitress if there were any happy hour specials (it was 5pm). She said only $9.00 sangria. We ordered 4 Pig and Wistle red ales and were charged $8.00 each, note, there are no drink prices on the menu. When we left, we saw a sign out front that said - All day Happy Hour with pig & whistle red ale - $ 6.

Found this place on Google Maps while doing a food search and decided to walk over. It was unfortunately a let down. Its NOT an Irish Pub like theyre advertising. First, the menu they have on Google is not the menu they offer. The inside has been changed, and the food centers more towards a Caribbean/Middle eastern/Greek influence. The food was medicore. The burgers, overcooked. The fish sandwich was bland, didnt make you want to continue. Atmosphere was pleasant and clean. Clean lavatories.The restaurant seems to be having an identity crisis. The food, atmosphere, music, etc all dont flow. But above all...its NOT IRISH.

Horrible food! horrible service!our waitress was completely rude, stating that she doesn’t care, my chicken came completely cold in the middle, the vegetales were still frozen, the mash and veggies tasted like something i can get in the frozen section at walmart. My boyfriend steak was undercooked, even the tables near me were complaining about the service. For this bar to be in such a busy area completely disappointed rather have gotten a dollar pizza

Random stop ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The food including the French Onion Soup, Chicken Tenders, and French Dip were amazing. Great bar in new York to visit. Obviously expensive for us Brits to eat and drink in the u.s.a. now but we enjoyed the atmosphere and were made very welcome. Expect to pay about £18 for two beers.

Bartender is not up on cocktails and when corrected, was rude and honestly grabbed the drink, threw it away, and ignored my apology. Gimlets are gin, lime, and up. She missed it all.Then when I ordered a glass of wine, the glass was smattered with old lipstick stains.Such a disappointing afternoon stop in midtown.

Amazing restaurant. Amazing cocktails. The tvs are just the right size and never too loud. Their chili special is my current favorite but the salmon entree is an absolute mainstay favorite. Have Francisco make you one of their signature cocktails or mix something up on fly. The staff is always smiling. The event space and the main floor restaurant are open and exceptionally clean and well serviced. On top of it all, the staff remembers and welcomes you like family every time you come back. 12/10 :). Watch the next soccer game or just have friends for drinks. A must try.

Spent a few nights here after our night in New York, a great way to end the day.

Not an Irish pub...I approached three workers (2 waitresses and a cleaning guy) all looked at me as if I wasnt supposed to speak to them but, in order to put in an order I had to walk over to the bar and request my food. I asked for well done Buffalo wings and a side of fries with two drinks (vodka soda & captains tails) waited 25 minutes for drinks so my husband goes to the bar to get our drinks and they made him stand there for another 10 minutes after being acknowledged to make them. After that, the wings and fries came out but the wings were under cooked so I told the waiter to cook it well done as requested. At that time we had no drinks still. After 30 minutes waiting for drinks the waitress finally brings our drinks. It wasnt even busy so the wait and attitude was not called for. Needs better service.

Arranged to have a birthday party at the 48th Street location and it was amazing! Spoke to the hostess Theresa to set it up and she could not have been more helpful! Assured me that they could accommodate my size party, full bar, full menu, and wed be upstairs - it was perfection! We had an amazing server (Andrea - hope I spelled her name correctly) who was attentive with drinks, food, and made sure everyone was well attended.The food was excellent, the drinks were flowing, and the party was a hit! The convenience of location to public transportation, a garage across the street (you can pre pay), and being in Times Square with amazing food, drink, and people! I would highly recommend The Pig-n-Whistle for any occasion!Thank you for making the birthday celebration memorable and enjoyable!

Everyone here is great and accomodating. The entire staff was helpful, kind, and attentive. Pig N Whistle is a well oiled machine. We went to see a show at Radio City and stopped here for a quick bite and a drink before the show. They knew what to do and kept checking in on us as we had people arriving at different times. We came back after the show with even more people and had the same quality service.With a location so close to Rock Ctr a place like this could easily rest on its laurels but they dont. They work hard and treat their guests well. The hostess, waitstaff, and bussers were all pros. Well done.

Nice restaurant with decent service and a great location. The food and drinks are a bit overpriced, but I guess thats what we have to expect in NYC. We had a flatbread and cauliflower bites and they were both mediocre.

Great place, nice atmosphere, tasty food.Im not generally a pub food person, but this was the restaurant chosen by my group. I was pleasantly surprised with the menu offerings and the taste of the food when served. It was also refreshing to see soccer on TV (being a pub atmosphere). Id definitely recommend it to others and would go back myself.

Great place for a meal, food delicious, steak was so tender and flavorful. Staff was extremely friendly and no one tried to hurry us up or get us to finish up to leave! Wonderful place to relax after roaming around the city!

Fast and fun great bar went to the second level had a few drinks. Did not have any food because were just there checking out the sites of the city. Service was very quick and everybody was friendly. This bar under a different name was visited by many firefighters during Memorial services at st. Patricks Cathedral after 9/11 the owners are spectacular and we see the tradition continues

It was just like being at home. The full Irish Breakfast was served just the same by Irish ladies who served us.Food was really good and staff really friendly. Prices are average as you will see from a snap of the menu attached.They have heineken on tap which will cost you 8 euro. They have screens also for the matches.

The only thing Irish in this place is the name, on night we were there it was not crowded. ordered one jamson on rock and one honey jack. took 15 minutes and one drink was incorrect. took another 15 to get waiter to bring correct. there are about 20 people in the entire space. took another 20 minutes to get bill and leave. literally standing ready to leave to get waiter to come over

We didnt know where to go eat since all the restaurants around were full and it was getting late. We stumbled upon this place and were very satisfied with everything!Food was good and the drinks too! Fast friendly service. Had a very strong herbal odor but Im guessing that was rolling in off the street or maybe some of the guests. Food was really tasty.

Great spot to grab drink before a show at radio city

This is the New York bar you been looking forward too. Tucked off from the street with a beaut long wood and a wall packed with treasures this is a brilliant respite from the hectic pace of outside. Great barmen to service smiles galore and with a delightful range on tap this beaut Irish slang is simy perfect to let a few hours vanish in to plates of chilli and the odd nachos. Not an extensive menu by any means more of a perfect choice over a few items the food is designed to compliment the beer and the sports bar atmosphere. Do yourself a favour, make time

I was there today. The place was not dirty but its ceiling has a water leak stain. Mashed potato was salty. Fried cod was crispy but somewhat oily. Price and food were ok.

All Ill say is not great. 12 dollar margaritas are pure margarita mix. Mash potatoes were dry and loaded with butter. Chicken pot pie was not really a chicken pot pie rather just the filling with a puff pastry thrown on top in a very shallow sauce dish.

Great food and specials on offer... if you are looking for something other than your standard American lagers than here is a good place to start! Convenient location by the Rock!

Killin is the best!!!

Poor service. No one has come to check on us. Ive had an empty beer glass ready for a refill for an half an a half still no refill. We sat down before another group and ordered before them and they got their food before us. I will not be eating at The Pigs N Whistle again.

The bartender was extra accommodating. I had the Cajun shrimp which was divine! Also tried the house draft beer which was very good and satisfying.

My colleagues love this spot to unwind after working the late night shift. I forgot the bartenders name, but he is an middle aged gentleman. He is also very pleasant.

The pig is one of my go-to watering holes. Its always a good time. Theyve got some good whiskeys, the bartenders are chill, and the food is on point. What more could you ask for?

The food tasted great.... loved the guacamole.. but seemed to have been short staff (only one server).. the kitchen was making the food pretty fast too

Place is OK. Service was VERY fast, but food was disappointing. We did get a table right away on Saturday night before Christmas.

2024 Update: this is my favorite bar in NYC. The drinks are always good and the food is generally great. They are also a great space for events especially with the upper deck.Killian is the man!!! I stop here for lunch once every week or two and he never keeps anyone waiting. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced for the Rockefeller Center area, though the daily specials are usually the best. Last week my team at work was going to a party at another bar and we couldnt get in -- but Pig N Whistle was able to accomodate us upstairs. Killian gave us the VIP treatment. We look forward to returning here again and again -- I already have an event booked here in January.

Great food and fast service on a holiday season weekend. Seated in less than 10 minutes service was fast and pleasant. Food was hot and tasty.

Used to haunt this joint long ago on frequent trips to the city ND when living in Brooklyn.I know covid has changed a lot. But the staff had a hard time understanding the order. She tried serving 3 different old fashioneds. Third time was the charm. It still tasted great. It better for the cost.Good memories of better service and better times long gone though.Dinner still tasty and well priced, especially for the area.

Fine but nothing special but it was not bad. The food was okay. Service was a bit slow. There was nothing special about the place. We probably will not go out of our way to go back.

First time in a pub and first time watching a rugby game, I wasnt feeling well, so I ordered the chicken soup. It was so delicious, reminded me of my grandmas soup. My daughter ordered the Buffalo wings and a chicken sandwich, which she enjoyed. We also tried the pork sliders tasty but super salty. We will definitely eat here again.

Beat ambiance! The service is too notch from the best in pub business! The food is second to none! They even have shirts from the bar you can buy with a quaint Irish saying on the back!😁 James is the greatest bar tender!

Service was alright but the menu was scarce (apparently their kitchen has a fire recently)--they didnt even have burger options! The beer selection was also limited for a Friday night.

Delicious food, staff is excellent. Comfortable interior, a nice place to go for lunch.

The Guinness on tap is very smooth, fresh, and tasty.

Waitress was awful..nobody came to seat us, she couldnt remember anything, we had to ask multiple times and then she brought apps and dinner at same time. Food was mediocre at best!

Nice place. Great vibe. Much better than Seans Irish pub a few doors down. Definitely recommend.

The wing Buffalo bussin. Mozz was great. Drinks aight. Lava cake was def a 10 out of 10

It was alright. I wish the Sangria was stronger and the burger a little juicier though. Our waitress was very friendly though.

Quick drink - didnt have the chance to try any food hence the 4 stars, but the gimmick drink (see photo) was nice.

Bartender was horrible. Food and drinks were good when he finally finished eating and holding hands with a waitress to get us anything.

Service was very good. Good heated outdoor dining. Food was ok. But no TVs, no music.

We were in the area and stumbled across Pig N Whistle public house and we were extremely impressed. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was off the charts. The atmosphere was homey and comfortable. If you want to have a great time at a reasonable price then check out the Pig N Whistle public house. I guarantee you will not be disappointed

It was really good. I would go back but It wasnt anything spectacular. For an Irish pub it needed more Irish things.

Ah the Pig N Whistle, where the guineas flows like wine and the shepherds pie is the best Ive had in a restaurant! A proper pub!

We stopped by here one night at recommendation of hotel. Food was great and it wasnt crowded. Very laid back atmosphere steps from Rockefeller Center and reasonably priced. Came back another night. The apple pie was amazing. Save room! Both nights staff was very attentive.

Read the sign, not kosher. Visit the diamond center around the corner and make 2 people happy with your generosity, the seller and the lucky giftee.

Very nice bar with a nice place to eat on the second floor. The wine is good and the Pastrami sandwich was tasty

Had such a great time. The bartender Natalia knows how to make a great drink and very good conversation. So much fun. Definately will visit everytime Im in the area. Ate and drank and went to the show. Came back after show and did it all over.

Stopped in for a drink waiting for the Rockefeller bldg tour. Smelled like cleaning detergent. Bartender was nice. Martini was strong. Good enough for me.

The place has a comforting charm, everyone enjoyed their meal, and great location across from Rockefeller Center

Decent bar, usual selection of beers and bar food. Small balcony area to look out into the street. Thats the best bit!
