What a find for a happy hour. We popped in here between shows and before dinner. The happy hour is a great deal with cheap wines/cocktails/beers (I mean not the best options but still). Service was really friendly and we sat at the bar, which was a really nice ambience. Grabbed a half dozen oysters since they were pretty cheap for happy hour ($1 each) and they werent our favorites (a bit small...). Regardless, would consider coming back here for HH if in the neighborhood. Also, important to note that happy hour is 11:30-6:30 every day... lots of hours to be happy!

Sagaponack is a hidden gem in Flatiron district. Beautiful decor and amazing food. Looks like there was a holiday event going on in mezzanine floor. What a great place to get together with friends and family! We started out with bunch of oysters, fluke tartare and gambas al ajillo. Presentation, texture and taste of fluke tartare was sensational! Oysters were so fresh and loved all different toppings. For main course, surf and turf was the big winner! Dry aged ribeye and lobster were packed with flavor and big enough portion to share for the table. Thai milk tea cake was so good. I don’t like sweets but ended up finishing the entire cake! We had an unforgettable holiday gathering at Sagaponack and can’t wait to come back to try different food.

The oysters were fresh and delicious! Their Shoyu Salmon was moist, well seasoned, and had perfectly crispy skin. Their seasonal pumpkin soup was rich and hearty; perfect for warming the stomach and soul. The cocktails were unique and well made. Its easy to see that this restaurant is run with precision, care, and with the customer in mind. The quality of my dining experience was well worth the price!

Quickly became one of our favorite restaurants after our first visit. The food, service, and atmosphere are unmatched. It feels so quaint and intimate yet lively. The food here is incredible. I dream of the chili oysters, an ABSOLUTE must have. Other major standouts are the risotto, the chicken skewers, the thai milk cake, and the mussels. Their happy hour is actually such good deals - the perfect time to visit to taste what this place has to offer!

Our team had our group dinner at Sagaponack and it far exceeded expectations. We destroyed several plates of oysters from raw to cooked and they were fresh and delicious. All prix fixe options gave everyone the perfect selection for their food preferences. We rounded out with delicious desert and Nespresso Martinis! We were a group of 13 and the service was flawless. No one was left waiting on their drinks or food. The area where we were sat was perfect and not too loud so we could all enjoy each others company. To make matters worse she was training another waitress that night too. Let PAYING patrons eat their food and ask for their check when theyre finished eating. Ruined my birthday and I WONT be back.

If you’re looking for a place that’ll make you rethink everything you thought you knew about oysters and margaritas, *this* is the spot. The oysters were so fresh, I half-expected them to whisper ‘thank you’ as I slurped them down. And don’t get me started on the spicy margaritas – one sip, and I felt like I could breathe fire. But in the best way possible. It’s like they took a jalapeño, gave it a pep talk, and dropped it into a glass. Highly recommend if you’re into seafood, heat, and feeling like a spice champion ! Love being back in NYC! Celebrated absolutely nothing on a random Sunday. Having dined in many of the places that Chef Joseph Yi had worked I was really looking forward to this meal and it was fabulous!! The tasting menu had offerings that pleases a varied palate. Three raw oysters (of course added the optional caviar oyster) kicked off the experience with flavors varied from a mild spice to the cooling sensation of yogurt and caviar. The fluke tartare was almost too beautiful to eat. I rarely eat roasted oysters and was surprised by how much I enjoyed the brown butter & vadouvan curry flavors. Surprisingly the cavatelli with italian sausage, ricotta, kale was one of my favorite courses and the sauce was light and flavorful. The branzino was perfectly cooked and another course that required a spoon so as to not miss any bite. The Thai Milk cake was a perfect ending to the food journey. We enjoyed a mocktail as well as sake and when a course was delayed, the server kindly offered me more sake which was welcomed. The service was attentive and unobtrusive and the decor trendy sea side feel. Hope they consider opening a place on Long Island for which the restaurant is named. Thank you for a wonderful and affordable experience. Definitely coming back with friends!

This place perfectly tows the line between Hamptons chic, marine royal blues, and coastal mom hosting a family dinner, you will understand as soon as you step foot inside and are greeted with a smile. The service is fantastic, a big part of what makes this place so comfortable. The food - some of the freshest oysters I’ve ever had the pleasure to have, my taste buds were experiencing seafood royalty and everything felt right. Highly recommend experimenting with a few condiments; I tried a duo of rose vinaigrette and the cocktail sauce, wow!!! Absolutely divine. But honestly, even just a spritz of lemon would be more than sufficient. Truly a luxurious experience with these oysters! Also strongly recommend the calamari, with small pieces of jalapeño mischievously tucked into the dish. Finally, strongly recommend the Chili Lobster Roll. The bun itself was plush and buttery, and the lobster was perfect. We got Parmesan fries on the side. Let me say, as much as I love sharing, I kind of got possessive over these fries.Great food, comfy atmosphere, prompt and thoughtful service. If the world is your oyster, start here.

My friend and I stopped in for the first time today to sample Sagaponack’s restaurant week lunch menu and standard $1 happy hour oysters. We were so happy we did. Not only was the staff thoughtful and accommodating, but they also shared a bit about the history of the restaurant and how they source their fresh seafood. The happy hour Wellfleet oysters were super fresh and paired perfectly with rosé vinaigrette. I ordered the spicy gambas al ajillo and mussels; my friend got the gazpacho and crab roll. All dishes were delicious, balanced, and served at ideal temperatures. We finished the meal with a beautiful matcha panna cotta dessert and left full of food and joy. With a prime location on a quiet street between Nomad and Flatiron, we were both surprised that this was our first time at Sagaponack. Wines are good, and Sagaponack has a good beer selection. The wait staff is friendly, fast and knowledgeable. The dining room has a simple decor. We ordered the oysters, roasted oysters, fluke tartare, parmesan fries, hanger steak and cavatelli.Oysters were solid. Fluke tartare was excellent and nicely flavored. Fries were...fine. Nothing too exciting and youre paying $9 for fries. Steak was a bit flavorless and a tad overcooked. Cavatelli was decent but also a bit underwhelming as it relates to flavor. In short, clearly more of a seafood spot than anything else. Suggest you stick with their forte in turn. The food was delicious, especially the oysters! Our waiter was very nice and great with giving recommendations! Great start to our birthday weekend.

My friend took me to this restaurant while i was visiting NY for the first time. The moment we stepped foot in the restaurant we were warmly welcomed by the kind staff. The hospitality of the staff played a huge role in making our experience extra special. From the professional hostess, to the attentive server which refilled our water constantly and the bartender, all of them made sure to explain every dish and every drink we ordered in small detail. Even the manager, Kyung engaged with us in a pleasant conversation. The restaurant had a cozy, warm atmosphere. It was my first time having seafood and I loved every second of it. Our bartender was Alex and we started with the Buena Siesta and Harana cocktails, which were really tasty, not too sweet, not too sour, and perfectly strong, but not overpowering. Our server was Ami and she really took her time explaining all the dishes. We started off with the Dressed trio oysters. Besides the beautiful and detailed plating, the taste was phenomenal. My favorite one was the cucumber one. Then we had the roasted oysters and the Gochujang butter one has a special place in my heart. The Salmon crudo was fresh and perfectly sweet. The shrimp was so good and the bread was the best I had in the States. The star of the show was the Mussels plate. The sauce and the way they were cooked were absolute perfection. The salmon was also really good, but the rice was amazingly cooked and the sauces were really tasty and savory. We also had the brussel sprouts which were sweet, but a bit bitter. The desserts we had were some small cookies with bourbon and orange and the Thai milk cake. Im usually not a fan of desserts, because I dont like sweet things too much, but the cake was absolute perfection. I was already full by dessert, but I ate all of the cake. It was sooo good, I fell in love with it. Overall, It was an amazing experience, the food was awesome and shoutout to the amazing staff members! I will definetly be coming back!

Sleeper restaurant with very solid seafood! Love the fluke tartare with tobiko and coconut sauce and the dressed oysters. Also the shoyu butter rice that comes with the salmon is very addictive. They do large format specials as well, like paella on the weekends. The Thai iced tea cake is a great way to end.

The roasted oysters tasted much better than the raw ones. I like the risotto with shrimp the most. It is well made with rich flavors, perfect bite and interesting texture with shrimp cream bacon. The cod was quite disappointing with not much flavor and it didn’t go well with the cold salad. Not sure why it’s recommended to take them together, the salad just didn’t match the cod from temperature to texture to flavor. The dessert was too sweet with more sugary flavor than thai tea flavor.

The NEW Sagaponack, under new ownership, management, and chef, already shows signs that it will thrive, even under the current circumstance of only outdoor dining.Ive had the opportunity to eat both indoors and outdoors since theyve reopened and I can honestly say that both experiences are incredible. Their renovated outdoor seating is extremely safe, chic, clean, and WARM - with partitioning between your party and the next. The wood motif throughout the little room, flora, lighting, decoration, and music playing during the meal are all a part of what makes the experience here so great as soon as you sit down. The food and drinks are unmatched. Everything on the menu is reflective of the restaurants vibe and are elevated versions of familiar foods. You cant go wrong with anything you choose to order - mostly because Ive tried pretty much everything and couldnt choose a favorite. (But if I had to, the Nduja mussels would have to be at the top...) The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and quantity, not even accounting for the fact that the restaurant is located in the heart of NYC.The service is always incredible, with extremely polite and attentive staff, including an amazing in-house sommelier! My water cup was never empty, there were never used plates and utensils left on the table (they were switched out frequently), and you can tell that everyone was familiar with the menu. Masks are always on, but you can tell that service is done with a smile here!I can tell that Im going to be a regular - I cant wait to see whats to come for this great place!

The space is comfortable with well-spaced out tables and atmosphere that can get loud but, on the night we were there it wasnt so. Our cordial waitress came by to get the tables drink orders and anything else we might want from the bar. It was still Happy Hour, so we decided to take advantage of the fresh oysters and clams. The food is a mix of American with Asian (Korean) flare. The Seabass was excellently prepared. The seafood pasta was perfect to my taste buds. There was plenty of assorted seafood and pasta was just al dente. Our water was always topped off. Great for events, too, as they have a second floor that overlooks the bar.The oysters come beautifully dressed but if you’re looking for that perfect IG story, look no further than the fluke tartare. I have been to Sagaponack a few years back before they rebranded and liked it. Now, I love it. Their new vibe is fresh, professional, and beautiful. I was greeted and my temperature was taken immediately. I was also offered hand sanitizer upon arrival. The first thing I noticed was the caution for COVID! There is not as many people sitting indoors as they would like to keep the capacity indoors low. This made me feel extremely safe. Sagaponack also has an outdoor dining section with heating lamps for those that do not want to sit inside.I was seated in a proper social distancing spot. It was secluded, and intimate. Again, something that is important to me right now. Their restaurant playlist is updated to a more modern place but still chic. I first ordered the Shishito Peppers, the Sumac French Fries, the Faroe Island Salmon Crudo, and the Waldorf Wedge Salad. The peppers were perfect. Not overcooked, not undercooked. The right kind of spicy without it being overwhelming. The fries were a nice addition of something familiar. The salmon was amazing, I loved the attention to detail with plating. The salad was also a nice familiarity to my dinner. My main course was Seared Black Sea Bass. The dish has chorizo and I don’t eat pork due to a restricted diet. Sagaponack accommodated immediately. The spaetzle, olives, and almonds added a nice contrast to the fish. By the way — the fish was also cooked perfectly. I usually end up with a dry fish at other restaurants but not here! Pleasantly surprised.Everyone at my table was happy, content, and satisfied with everything we ate. Would recommend, would come again. Love the new revamping and new menu! Definitely a great place for a date and an even great for a pandemic date with all the precautions taken!

What a surprise! When it comes to trying a place for the first time, you cant help but feeling the excitement of discovering something new and exciting mixed with the reality that it might end up being a disappointing experience. When I ended up downtown this week to meet with some friends Ive been making plans to see over and over again for the past year without success (do we work for a living or are we living to work?) I had new idea where the evening would bring us.My roundish belly is the proof that I am willing to sacrifice my appearance to go out eating as often as possible and let you guys know where to get the best bang for your buck, I could have been a hand model but decided that someone had to make a stand for the greater good of my New Yorkers.Needless to say that I had little expectation for a culinary experience when finally meeting some friends at the last minute (as I was thinking this would be once again cancelled and rescheduled) without even knowing where to go for drinks and a bite to eat.Against my better judgement I left the local friend suggest a place to go as we were near Washington Square Park and I am a lot more familiar with midtown locations. I stood corrected! My friend decided to bring us for drinks at a place hega referred to as an easy going local bar restaurant with a cool vibe (I have to admit I was kind of worried as I couldnt even understand the places name when he said it and I had to Google the name twice just to be sure it was a thing!). Here comes Sagaponack!!!!As it was still early that evening, we got the pleasant surprise of making it for happy hours (I do not mind at all the younger crowd and being a little squeezed if it means getting a few more drinks and extra food for my budget): DOLLARS OYSTERS!!!!!!!Life is good when you end up seeing friends you thought youll never manage to see again and unexpectedly discover a great new place to have a Long Island beer and a dozen oysters for $20 (now you know why this is the greatest city in the world ).After a few beers and making a dent on the local oysters population while staring at the impressive single malts selection at the bar, my friends and I decided to stay for a more serious bite to eat as the happy hour crowd was winning down. Lady luck was on our side as the lovely hostess managed to find us a table on what seemed to be a busy evening for the restaurant side (the bar area is at the entrance and the restaurants tables and dining to the back). We ended up being upstairs, on a kind of mezzanine with a great view on the bar action below in a setting that wouldnt require us to yell in order to have a long due catching up conversation. You do not leave a winning team so as I started with oysters I decided to stick with seafoods (best decision ever!!!). Seafood lovers who do not want to save up a month salary and wait another month to get a reservation at the Bernardin, welcome to paradise!Yes, I still has a little place for some more oysters and the cooked ones (two different preparations) were out of this world. Best grilled octopus Ive ever had (seriously phenomenal, I wish we could have it as a main course size but didnt want to scare my friends by ordering two just for myself). As my friends were having a parade of many different seafood tacos at the table, I decided to go with the crabs legs as main course (which were by the way really fairly priced compare to some prices I experienced in the city). To cap it all, I cant wait to get back there as there are so many dishes (especially seafood but with some attractive piece of meat too) I want to try. Cool and easygoing place, tons of drinks and cocktails to choose from including local brews and wines, friendly and unpretentious staff but most of all awesome food.Go there you wont be disappointed and I will likely be somewhere in there getting my octopus fix.Cheers.

Service was good. Food was good. Chicken bites were amazing. Fries were good. Rice balls were good, but not as great as the Italians make it. Definitely would come back here.

It is a nice place, the food is good but is hard to say what is the speciality because they have a little of many things, from sea food to tacos and sandwiches. Is a good option but no to be amazed. Is clean and service is kind.

Food was fine, and prices were reasonable for brunch compared to other places. But the service was really lacking. Also the ambiance wasnt there; no music, and was a little too quiet.Update: service is really bad. Theyre trying to tell us two separate credit cards wont go through payment, which is impossible. We just used the same cards earlier in the day.

This place has outstanding food, a casually classy decor and vibe, with modest prices (for NY). Just a couple blocks off the main drag (5th Ave.) in mid-man hattan and super busy on a Sunday brunch window - glad we had a reservation. Service was a tad sloppy by wait staff who were spread thin: a meatlovers omelet was dropped off to me instead of the mushroom and since no one checked back and I was hungry I ate it. Omelets were hot and cooked to perfection with a lovely little salad on the side (super smart move vs. the usual heavy sides served with this dish). A light pink fresh strawberry bellini was a delightfful. $30 was the total bill sans tip.

Sagaponack is definitely my vibe. Id have to summarize the interior as classy nautical themed. Wood floors, edison bulbs, super long bar with plenty of space, and a mezzanine overlooking the main floor. Very dope.I really enjoyed their food. I ordered their sea bass which was very tasty, and their fries are ON POINT.Service was great and they have a full bar. Will definitely return!

Welcome back! The Hampton-like interior & vibes, upscale menu options while maintaining diner-like pricing.. looks like they have drastically improved from their pre-COVID operation. Looking forward to visiting and supporting them even more frequently when they come up with dessert menu and more competitive beverage options. So glad they have resurrected!

Great spot in a great neighborhood. The bar is made for a good happy hourThey have a unique take on a lobster roll with chili. The warm bun that it comes on was 🔥 and surprisingly the salad that it came with was really great.Dont go expecting a traditional lobster roll. This is a Connecticut style. Lots of good spicy flavorThe gambas was spicy and delish. The saude was great for dipping the bread. The panna cotta dessert was fantastic! I devoured it.They have a late night happy hour for Friday and Sat. Menu looks interesting, and they have adult happy meals. I want to check that.

Great spot - decked out in very classy fashion, but with a menu full of reasonably priced dishes. Our waiter was not just very attentive, but very personable as well -- the same can be said for the maitred -- he read the fine print in our OpenTable reservation, in which I requested a special welcome for our guest visiting from Italy. In at least 50 attempts, thats the first time I ever witnessed the maitred actually delivering on a special request like that. The only disappointment is that it took us this long to discover the place!
