I have never experienced such rudeness in my entire life. I asked for water, and the bartender was so mad that he made the entire bar look as he poured me water… he literally bullied me for asking for water. I tried confronting him after and it seems like he could care less if people had water and would much rather get paid than to care for the well being of his customers. I could not recommend a place less - water and the well-being of people matters, and being abused for asking for water is unacceptable. I couldn’t make this up if I tried… don’t go here, there are much better places to play darts and get a drink. From reviewing the comments it seems like there is a pattern with this bartender and it’s honestly scary.
THE BEST BAR IN NYC to come and support the mighty Tottenham Hotspurs! We go because we love our club, we love Flannerys, and we love its staff and fellow Spurs supporters are family! The drinks are always served up quickly! The staff behind the bar are amazing! They will have you singing songs and dancing around. The atmosphere is incredible, cant be beat, other than being at the stadium in London for a match! The bathrooms are always clean, and I feel very safe as a women drinking there knowing the bouncer is always surveying the premises, and the supporting fans are always positive, and chatty!Best pint of Guinness in NYC!Everyone comes to have a good time and a laugh! If you are a Spurs supporter welcome home! All others need not apply.COYS
A perfect dive near the West Village, with a long dark bar, sports on tv, crowded games of darts, and a juke box blasting the old loud hits. Unpretentious, old school. Good service, fair priced. An excellent alternative to the meet markets. Lazy fun.
Not too expensive considering the location and how popular it is. Friendly bartenders as well. Love the fact that you can play darts here. (Edit: Only remark would be that I havent really seen any special deals they might have for happy hour)
A unique experience for football fans of Tottenham in NYC for work or pleasure!
If you are a visiting Spurs supporter, theres no other place to watch a fixture than Flannerys with the NY Spurs! They were extremely welcoming and the bar staff was some of the rowdiest Id seen, leading chants and having a great time with the supporters.
The man behind the bar today was rude. Told us to move seats cos we were having a a good time.We are Tottenham fans from London but this made us feel unwelcome.Would not recommend.
We came in with a group of about 20 people, including a national band from Spain for the 2024 Hispanic Parade. The Irish bartender (an older man, late 50s/early 60s) was rude and clearly drunk. He aggressively banged the bar counter with a wooden stick while shouting slurs. His behavior was shocking and completely unacceptable. The other bartender apologized and thanked us for leaving peacefully. We had paid for our drinks and were having a good time until the bartender’s racist outburst ruined the experience. It’s disappointing that such a promising establishment employs staff like this. We left within 15 minutes and do not recommend this place. This is not what New York is about.
Craft(AB) hath arrived at a venerable old school hold out between Chelsea y West Willage. Breckenridge( bartender God love him hadnt a clue asto the style) Goose & Kona. Best is the house winter ale Lilly White for the lady Spurs (Tottenham) even if lines are nitro heavy for Guinness. I
A great visit and brilliant atmosphere for any Spurs fans looking to enjoy the game!
Would be 4*. Bartender (large, beaded male) ignored customers waiting for 5+ mins while serving no one ahead of them in order to talk about bowling with an already-served customer. Looked directly at patrons waiting patiently 1 foot away to order. Otherwise, cheap, strong drinks, great dive feel, and darts!
The people here are nice and really take their dart games very seriously. They have dart tournaments every weekend. They show all kinds of sports and it really is just a comfortable atmosphere. They dont serve cocktails but they will try their best to mix something up for you if you request it. Also, I forgot to mention that this place is super affordable!
Awesome Bar. Whenever I am in Lower Manhattan I stop at Flannery’s. Laid back. Great sports. Awesome music on the jukebox. Mike the Bartender is one of the best. I would recommend flannery’s to anyone looking to relax with a cold beer and watch the game. Cheers.
Looking for a roomy bar to hang with friends near Union Square? This is it. Large, spacey, lots of dart boards, and $10 pitchers. The bartender was so friendly. This is a great bar if youre not looking for something fancy. There was a stage in the back, so Im not sure if it is more lively with a DJ on the weekends, but I went on a Wednesday night and it was exactly what I wanted on a Wednesday night with a friend.
Plenty of dart boards, but bartender was rude, patronizing and unnecessarily confrontational to a few innocent questions. Drinks were made strong but had strange scent and after taste. Atmosphere and decor were lacking. Would not recommend at all.
Basic Irish pub. Great for a laid back chat with friends grabbing a drink. I went on. Saturday night and it was not crowded at all. The DJ played hits and classics and the dance floor was empty and clear. There were also very serious dart players who were watching the basketball game. It seems folks make their own adventure at Flannerys and theres enough space for everyone to enjoy the evening how they like.
Nice quiet bar. & Johnny always pours the perfect pint!
Best place for playing dart 🎯 and good drinks
Bartenders mike & davey are soooo cute
My favorite watering hole. Darts and pool in the back, great bartenders all over. Theyre friendly and game for a chat if theyre not packed. Its one of the few bars in the area where you can still find a few old locals, coming almost every day in the same spots, watching the races at Aqueduct and drinking bottles of Bud.Its a bars bar. Nothing fancy, nothing shiny. Its well run, and serves good drinks. Very clean taps too, so you can trust a clean pour from the draughts.
Magical. COYS. Happiest Place On Earth (Im slightly biased).Seriously though, I hope to see you here with me one day 😁
Fine, laid back bar. Drinks are cheap. In line with other reviews, bartender ignored people waiting for 5+ mins while serving customers who drew enough attention to themselves.
Long time favorite. Love this place. No nonsense and unpretentious.
This is an absolutely fantastic establishment. Looking for a cold pint of Guinness and an immaculate curation of music? This is your place. I am planning to become an avid Tottenham supporter after having visited here. Cheers to splitting the G and hitting a nine dart
The bartender displayed clear racism. He didn’t want to serve me and two friends (who are all POC) because we were “unruly”. But we had waited patiently by the bar waiting for him to take our order (the bar was empty). We started to realize he was serving everyone besides us. He said we took bar space from a couple next to us, but they had moved aside to let me sit. It really didn’t make sense, until my friend explained. My friend asked the bouncer at the front door if this bartender was known to be racist. He confirmed but also didn’t want to lose his job. We are good people. I just don’t understand. I am crying at the 7th ave station just thinking about this. Please don’t go here.
Came here late night during the week, and the vibe is cool and the Cubano sandwiches are legitimately excellent. I wish they served it with a little jus to dip it into, but even without that.... 🤌🏻
Place might get a few more stars if it wasnt full of Tottenham fans with ketchup stains on their bed sheet colored jerseys
This is a great laid back bar. They have all types of alcohol and i love the bartenders here. You can bring your own food.John and Mike are the best.
Great spot to watch sports especially UK football. The staff are quick with refills and the drinks are solid. Great for last minute gatherings as the staff are very accommodating.
A friend prone to nostalgia just texted me this review: “But we’ll always have Flannery’s. Roaches there grow long beards and tell tales of young.” Confusing. Is it a kind of poem?I haven’t been in years but Flannerys was a regular local in college and has enough sentimental value that it comes up in texts and conversations. For example: although, I never saw a roach there, an old timer (who told me and an ex-gf he was a defrocked priest) told us wild stories and eventually offered to marry us. Lots of nostalgia. Trust more current reviews.
Irish sports bar. Dart boards are good for group. Drink are relatively cheap. Doesnt have food but you can order or bring your own food.
Nice atmosphere here from lunchtime onwards and John behind the bar is a very nice guy. Thanks for looking after us!
Nice little boozer. Darts and a home for any Spurs supporters, excellent music played bit of Tom Waits whilst I was there...
Great atmosphere, friendly bartender and always an available dart 🎯 board for some friendly competition.
Terrible customer service, if you are in front of the employees playing a dart game do not get front of them because you will get cursed out! Never experienced disrespect as this bar, will never go back.
Amazing local Bar. The bartenders are awesome. They really engage the customers. What a friendly neighborhood place to have fun.
Awesome bar .... great service by bartender Mike , makes you feel right at home. Awesome bar to hang and enjoy some drinks . Highly recommend.
Come and support your team.Tottenham Hotspur. Premier League.Come on your spurs.
The best place and only way to watch a Tottenham game in NYC. Fantastic atmosphere
Great dive bar. Lots of dart boards. Especially fun if youre a Tottenham Spurs fan.
Total dive bar. Nothing special. And, bartender didnt give me a set of darts when I asked for them. However, he gave it to several guys right after me. Discriminatory if nothing else.
Great spot, one of the few places who do Guinness right. Super chill vibe
I would love this bar for its chill vibe and the darts, but my cider is always flat. Id go back, but watch out for flat beer/cider.
Bartender attacked us for asking for a beer and a shot, doesn’t respect people and all around not a good place for a drink
Friendly atmosphere. Friendly staff. Last time it was a bit crowded and noisy due to basketball play offs.
Went there as a stranger! Left as a friend, Huge shout out to Mike and Denise ! They both made me feel right at home ! They are both great bartenders!Shout out to Gregg ! Hes a bouncer/ bar man ! Hes extremely personal! I would recommend this bar to any serious football fan! This place is the best !!!!
This was a great bar with a real Irish vibe, particularly exuded by the hilarious owner.
Great space with the good ol Irish Pub feel. Mike, the bartender/owner(?) Is the best.
As a man of color Ive been in New York my whole life but sometimes you can walk into a bar and feel eyes and heat on you. Bartender wasnt just rude indoor dismissive he also assumed that I didnt have money to pay for a specific drink now I dont know about you but that right there was just a short shot sign of get the hell out dodge
Awesome Bar. Mike the bartender makes a Damn good drink. Cool people and vibe
Always packed for the Tottenham games and still have fantastic service. Great atmosphere.
Flannerys is not the last word on pubs in the city. Its doesnt deviate much from similar establishments; TVs, $5-7 drafts from a pretty unspectacular list, weathered wood, loud tunes. Its a darts bar despite its relatively narrow width, which can make navigation front to back somewhat of a negotiation when its crowded (which it usually is) and may result in a contemptuous glare from a player if youre not careful. It’s also a Tottenham pub, which you can rejoice in if you’re unfortunate enough to be a Spurs fan. Hopefully that’s not the case.HOWEVER. There is one factor that cannot be ignored, which is the simple fact that Flannery’s provides undoubtedly one of the finest pours of Guinness in the City of New York. More specifically, Mike (aka Mush) provides that pour, which is truly a thing of beauty. Performed with incredible care, it is a process that requires patience, chestnut waves seductively lacing their way towards the bottom of the glass as the beer settles. Direct quote: “I always say, like the best sex, it takes time.” The pint is finished off with a lusciously creamy head with the remarkable impression of a shamrock, a feat that frankly shames the legion of half trained third-wave baristas strewn across the city. Best of all, it comes with Mike’s infectious smile and laugh, which makes the experience pretty hard not to enjoy despite the cockerel banners overhead.
Great bartenders, great darts. If you want to try out the sport of darts Flannerys is the place to go.
This is the best bar in Manhattan. @ me if you disagree and I’ll be happy to throw hands.
Terrible and unprofessional experience. We broke one dart and he asked for $5. We gave him the money but he refused it and then acted extremely unprofessional.
Great bar. Great staff. Really spacious too.
Its old reliable the go 2 low spot down there u gotta know if u didnt now u do😎🤓
For Spurs supporters, it is like home away from home
Awesome pub and the home of the mighty Tottenham Hotspur in NYC.
Best Bar In NYC , No Doubt, Stop By , Big Mike Is An Awesome Person, God Bless This Bar
Generic dive, good choice to grab a quick beer for happy hour but dont plan on returning
I went here and read tarot cards. It just so happened that I meet a few interesting souls who are artifact operators.
Decent sports pub with reasonably priced beers.
Tons of dart boards, good music, even better bartenders
Best place for Tottenham Games. A LOT of fun at 10 AM in the morning.
Thank YOU for the dart sponsorship this season. It has been an honor representing you. Great bartenders, great pours, great dart boards. Cool people. Luck of the Draw is more fun then FUN. Fun is GOOD. Flannerys is always fun and has a cool crowd and good music.
Great spot. Darts - beer - hotspurs
Nice old style bar where you can watch games and be friends with all
No food, but you are welcome to bring your own. Great atmosphere and service. Watch a game or play darts, I’m ready to go back.
Thank you, Mush for the great service, always a great treat to have a bartender of such high caliber. Cheers, mate.
No 1 bar to watch spurs in NY 👍👌👏👏👏
Always a fun atmosphere here. Plus there is a donut shop next door.
Simply the best. Great times with James and the American Yid Jason best times ever.
Great drinks. Nice Staff!
Nice roomy spot- lots of tvs, bunch of dartboards, and lots of little tables.
COYS in NYC. What more can a guy want?
Great barkeeps! Great drop-ins! Great Guinness! Slainte! Flannerys go Bragh!
Love this place. The typical dive bar scene. Mike, John, and Davey are the best.
Best bar and bar staff in New York. Great place to visit.
Amazing bar, a taste of home for this Brit. Great vibe, great staff.
Just popped in to watch football and have a drink
Solid, standard pub experience. Surprisingly spacious with a nice staff.
Love this place. Denise our bartender from Ireland was amazing the best. Love her. Made us feel at home!!! I wish the best for her! Denise we are the retired couple from Texas and NJ. Probation Officer and Trooper.
Perfect place for a pint and a Tottenham game. COYS.
Spurs football bar, good for Tottenham Hotspur supporters!
One of our own
Love this bar. The bartender was great.
Lousy loud with a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. No Widow Jane bourbon available just your regular selection of cheap drinks sold at premium prices. No fun, no frills kinda joint but if looking for a bar to get hammered with a lot if distraction then go no further - you found the right place.Enjoy if this is what tickles your fancy but there are much better bars around.
Slightly flat Stella served in a remake of Paddys pub. Sport on TV, my kind of place.
Wonderful experience good people perfect bartender amazing
Tottenham Hotspur NYC bar. Brilliant atmosphere
Brilliant place to watch the Spurs game while in town.. great Guinness.. Shame about the result
No fine compliment as.... Felt like the Park Lane
Absolutely horrendous treatment by the bar staff and it’s patrons. I am a Tottenham supporter and this place is NOT what Spurs are about. Find another bar to watch. To the owner asking what happened-my two friends wore hats from the opposing team, were acknowledged as supporting another team before the match without issue by the bar staff, and when they clapped mildly because their team scored, your bartender proceeded to threaten two women WITH A BATNot only is this disgusting behavior, it’s illegal to do that. They were then verbally and physically harassed on the way out. They were not drunk, they came with a group of Tottenham Supporters, and did nothing to deserve such barbaric treatment. To be so thin skinned over a couple of Leeds fans is laughable.Your website CLAIMS “all are welcome” and “come as a stranger, leave as a friend”, however it’s painfully clear this is not true. I hope it’s a lie you’re an “official” Tottenham bar because it is an absolute disgrace that Spurs’ name should be tarnished by being associated with the type of people and business that would allow this to happen.
Walked in with my girlfriend to watch the Liverpool game & got told to leave by some Spurs fans. Thought they were kidding at first but they made it clear they were not. Never thought ill of any Spurs fans before but what an awful way to treat fans of the beautiful game that this bar claims it supports. Do not waste your time here.
Come in with an Irish pub and dive bar mindset. Mush (bartender) will trash you if you try to order a hot toddy or a pickle back!! This is an Irish bar through and through. Order a Guinness and a shot of Jameson and you’re getting a nice high five from the bartender.
Quick and simple spot. Drinks came quick and were as expected
Great Spurs pub with brilliant atmosphere.
A decent bar to watch all things Tottenham
Its been my 14th Street watering hole for about 15 years.Great before the night crowd arrives, still pleasant but can get uncomfortably full when crowded
Nice, cozy place. Not crowded, reasonable drink prices. No food but can bring g your own and eat there while you drink.
Just the perfect after work bar to grab couple of beers. The prices are extremely reasonable for Chsea market. The bartenders are some of the best Ive ever interacted with. Will get you out of the dumps for sure!
Great service and the bar tenders know what they are doing
This place is a typical Irish dive bar but be aware that it’s also the Tottenham Hotspur supporters bar so it fills to capacity on match day.
As Toby Keith says, I love this bar. Its for yiddos. No idea what its like when spurs arent playing though
Good atmosphere but no food
Friendly sports bar for Tottenham fans and darts players
Worst experience.Pee amd sewer smelling bar, terrible service..Short old white bald bartender with glasses, he is rude and very disrespectful.
Good pub but there is no Pool table. NO POOL TABLE.
Mush you have go. Never know who you will meet. Sports bar at its best. And if youre a Spurs fan you will love it. If youre not they will love you Great fun.
This place is absolutely disgusting.Avoid at any cost!
One of the most fun bars Ive been too in the city. The bartenders are genuinely funny and nice. Just an over all good time
Let’s Go Spurs. Love that they play the Tottenham song every night. Truly Madly Deeply doooooooooo
Came here twice for two Tottenham games while I was in town recently. Staff was super friendly to a new face, as were the locals. Great vibe for the games, drinks were not pricey at all. Overall great experience, and Ill be back every time Im in New York!
Simple, but a solid Irish bar. Come here to relax and play darts. It doesnt offer much else, but the crowd is decent and respectful, and the music is a relatively enjoyable mix of old classics and modern pop hits. There isnt a large selection of mixed drinks, but that is to be expected.
Well poured proper British pint. At a fair price.
Used to go there with coworkers for happy hours. ALWAYS a great time. Bartender Mike always takes care of us. So many great nights at Flannerys!
#COYS. Place get a great crowd for Spurs matches, always open for the game with sound. Great place to watch with some dedicated knowledgable fans. If you are visiting from out of town the bar is very welcoming. Head there to enjoy a pint and some quality football.
Great place for drinks with friends. Good selection of beers. Cool staff.
Denise is the best bartender ever! a true Irish gem. I can get good liquor anywhere. But a great bartender like Denise only happens at Flannerys!
Great neighborhood dive. Bartender was very friendly and accommodating. Great old school NYC irish bar vibe.
Great place to stop and have a beer!
Old, run down but has character!
Fab if youre a spurs fan!
Best place to watch Spurs in the city.
Flew in to New York on the 1st Nov so missed the Spurs v Real Madrid match. despite feeling knackered I headed to Flannerys where I was given a wonderful welcome by all even though they had never met me before. When I got there the party was in full swing. Even got a drink from Michael, mein host who was celebrating with the rest of us. Make no mistake, this is simply a bar (no food) with some good ale, plenty of TV and if you love football, especially Spurs, this is where you head to watch the match. thanks for making me feel so at home guys. See you next time Im over there. Cheers COYS
Ive always loved this spot. Great bartenders and a fine selection. The other downside is that they sometimes think theyre a dance club and blast unbearable techno; if they could knock that off, theyd be perfect.
The staff here has a really bad vibe. Bartender was rude and negative when I first walked in. An hour later - without any basis whatsoever - he escalated an argument, unnecessarily came around the bar, put his hands on me, and kicked me out for basically no reason whatsoever (other than he seemed to know another patron who blew his cool when we asked if a stool was available). Totally unnecessary and unprofessional. Sad!
Was part of group pub crawl. The bar tender was very rude, kept telling the early arrivers that there was a card minimum, did not crack a smile until noticed the group was dropping money.
Great pub atmosphere whilst watching Spurs on one of the multiple screens good choice of beers and close to Subway
Best bar in the city, its practically my living room. If you like darts and a great atmosphere, this is the place.
Best bar hands down. The bartenders and friendly and welcoming.
It seems now that the bartender there has a nasty attitude towards me: his name is john.
Came here to watch a Tottenham match. What an experience! Quick service and an amazing atmosphere. Any spurs fans need to come here on match day.
If you are a Tottenham Hotspur soccer fan, this is for you.
Is Flannerys still at reduced capacity? I want to stop by tomorrow for the NLD
Quick service! Pretty sure people are still allowed to smoke inside here.
I came for darts with past coworkers a few times. Thats fun. Wish they had food but drinks are standard.
$7 pint of Guinness is a better deal than most other pubs in the city and its well poured. Minus one star for not playing audio of the match but at least its a relaxed vibe.
The best Irish pub in Manhattan 4me
That lil old bartender with the glasses has a messed up attitude
Standard Irish pub. No food available, but you can order delivery. Friendly service.
Should take out the covered entrance. Its hideous.
Good croud, great prices.
Regular bar, open late, next door of the donut shop :)
Grim and obnoxious landlord, comical ignorance about what supporting a football team involves, all-round bleak atmosphere. You gotta wear your colours on gameday - the kind of thing that people whove read about football on the internet say
Never had any particular issues here. Plenty of screens for the Spurs games, great atmosphere, and plenty of seating/standing room.
Nice NYC Irish Pub that opens early to show Tottenham Hotspur games!
Fun bar with super staff all around. Can get crowded but its not a bad thing.
Great atmosphere, wonderful bartenders overall a very pleasant and nice experience
Come On You Spurs! Best real pub in NYC
Very good staff attention.they are very nice👍
Bartenders are some of the greatest humans Ive ever met .
If you want a piece of old New York dont miss it!
Good neighborhood bar. Great staff
Cool darts bar!
Nice Irish old style bar, ready for after work drinks
Great place for a beer with friends!
Fun crowd and the bartender are great
Great neighborhood bar, really friendly bartender and darts!
Stopped in for a drink before dinner and felt immediately at home. Came back after dinner for another round.
No food but the service was good
The best joint South of Artic Circle. Enough said!
Great darts place. Very divey on weekends.
COYS best bar in New York.
Love the food, and the atmosphere is fantastic.
Best place to go for a Spurs game in NYC
I visited this bar this evening and the door staff was quite rude. They have no food and rude staff, why would anyone go here?
Great food and staff!
Great place for Soccer matches
Great Loco flavor, it was cool.
Not very special. Kinda rude in fact.
Nice pub, good beer
My expensive coat was stolen off the back of my chair when I went to the restroom! That’s enough for me
Not serving food. not as packed n following pandemic protocols
Better if Spurs had won!
Great place to play Darts
Stopped in to kill some time. Seems like a typical sports bar, with several TVs and dartboards lining the walls.
Good pub for beers with locals.
Great pub, great service.
Fun place for darts and drinks
I luv Da Irish bastards!
Friendly and attentive Irish staff.
Great loud rock music. Reminded me of home back upstate where every neighborhood has a corner pub like this place.
Biggest douchebag Irish Bar in the city
Friendly bar. Home of NY Spurs.
If you looking for a Irish bar this is Def a real. One.
Solid and friendly bar. Go Spurs!
Loved the vibe
Good place to watch a match
Good pour if Guinness
Sports bar! Drinks and TV! Nothing to add
Best bar staff ever
Awesome place, bartender is dope
Drinks are good and the crowds are friendly
They dont serve food.
Very nice people here!
Good for playing darts 😃
The Bay Area bar in NYC. GO DUBS
