Excellent food. Saltbae is famous. But they charge some hidden fees such as service fees which is normally known as tips. So dont tip them more if they already charged you service fees. $39 lunch option is great
Things started bad, but got better. They need to get some things right with service. Had no one help us for 10 min once sat. I had to go ask the manager for water to the table. Another 10 min had to go ask again for drinks. I don’t think we actually ever got a waiter all night. The manager ended up taking our table. Once we ordered things went great. Service picked up and each dish was great. The Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve had. Steaks came and Nusret was actually slicing the steaks that night. Made for a cool experience to see him around the restaurant. They did a great desert show for wife. All in it turned out to be a great dinner. With some upfront service changes they could really be a great restaurant.
A must try experience, everything we ordered was incredibly good. The “Amor” wagyu cut for 2 people was extremely tender, melts in your mouth, super flavorful cut. The cost for this experience is high but you are definitely paying for the presentation / atmosphere and flavor is there for sure! No complaints on anything we had, cocktails were on point as well, can’t go wrong here!
The steaks cooked in butter at the table were excellent. Everyone here worked well as a team to support Claudio in providing great service. Expensive… sure, but you get what you pay for. Gold-encrusted baklava? Why not?! A true New York indulgence.
If you’re from a different state and traveling to New York City, this is a place that you must go. If you are a stake lover just how I am Trust me you will be happy.I also want to say thank you to my server, (Claudio ) (was my server) he was on point on everything. Customer service was 100% everybody friendly as soon as you walked in the door, they greet you if your table is not ready, they will have Sit in the bar and off your drink while your table is ready I showed up a little bit earlier than when my reservation was no complaints whatsoever. I will be coming back.
Excellent presentation and service with on point food. The only suggestion I have is for the staff who greet and seat you to get to know the regulars.I office across the street and bring business guest ther for lunch 3 and four times a month. My wifes birthday dinner was excellent.
First of all, never tell your guests that we can eat, but have to leave within one hour! It’s much better to send us away than to make us pay a lots of dollars to stress with time and rushing to eat. Food was amazing and the quality was one of the best. The chefs did a great job with all the taste and the experience was very good! However, the waiters didn’t know how to communicate with us when we came in and sat down. Also, the ladies should always be served first when it comes to drinks or food.Outside of that, it was amazing food there and I will hundred percent recommend other people to visit!
Claudio was our server and he was excellent. The perfect amount of conversation and good service. He gave us some good food recommendations. We were lucky enough to have Salt Bae, he was so kind and let us take photos with him. We even saw some teenagers sneak in the restaurant to take photos and he was so sweet with them he took a photo and reminded the kid to take his shopping bag. The service music and atmosphere was all excellent. Definitely would recommend!
From step one to the place our waiter Ali made it absolutely amazing. The service is great. very delicious food. everything that we had were above and beyond expectations. nice atmosphere very friendly employees.
The experience was ruined when we got the bill. Let me just make it clear that is not about $14 but the principle of it. I Took my mom there to have a great time and we left there angry. The meal was delicious, but when we got the bill instead of being charged $39 per person for the prefix lunch we were charged $46. I asked the waiter why weren’t we charged $39 per person and he said, $39? It’s $45! I then mentioned that outside where they have the menu and the one that they give us when we sit down, says $39! (Which by the way, I had to ask for the pre fix menu, they don’t give it to you, annoying). He said, because my mom had the tartare. He was lying, and we left it at that. There are plates that you pay extra and the salmon tartare wasn’t one of them and I had the Ceasar salad. Left there with a real bad taste in our mouths, it’s just the principle and the waiter double down, he wasn’t new, he’s been there for 7 years. I think because me and my mom were speaking Portuguese he got nervous that we wouldn’t leave a tip? We still left 20% also for my principle, which is usually what I leave. So disappointing. Also, after you responded below I got in touch with you and never got a response back.
My wife and I had a great dinner at Nusr-Et Steakhouse. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, and the salmon was moist and flaky, seasoned just right. The atmosphere was lively, and the service was excellent. The only thing missing was the chance to meet Nusrat himself—maybe next time!
I gotta say my wait staff was beyond helpful and pleasant to deal with. I did not get the steak as it was only 12 pm .We did get a burger and a lobster tail and some sides. The food was very good but very pricey due to location and by the looks rent!I would like to come back at night for steak, but I can tell you from what I saw, it will be dam good!!Got to see the boss cutting steak and he did say hello to everyone..
Service was impeccable. Meat was perfect, temperature, texture and presentation. Arugula Avo salad was very good, just a little too much vinaigrette for me. Claudio my server was very knowledgeable, nice and friendly, definitely a big part of the experience. Thanks.
What a phenomenal experience. Warm hospitality from the moment you walk in. Outstanding food with exceptional attention to detail. So many employees, from all different positions, touched the table, including the Turkish manager and Zamira. Really looked after us! Amazing teamwork, 5 star all across the board!
Went during lunch, had a 3 meal course, which was really great. The nusr-er special salad, medium filet mignon, and walnut baklava for dessert. Really great option for both lunch and dinner. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow and the restaurant was not that packed.
It was amazing ....I will go back whenever I can.
Exceptional place, incredible service, incomparable experience.I can barely find the words to express my feelings about this place. My wife and I visited this restaurant together in September, and were lucky to meet the owner, Mr. Nusr-Et, in person. He even honored us with his exclusive quality test. The staff went above and beyond. Literally, every couple of minutes we received attentive service. Numerous staff members were working hard around every table, including ours.Besides the fortunate meeting with the owner, a special thanks to Hamit and Kamran.I dont think I even need to describe the food. The Wagyu steak and special salad from Mr. Nusr-Et blew our minds. No jokes—this experience was a true culinary explosion.A restaurant like this should be a point of pride for the city. Definitely a must-visit.Hoping to see one in Toronto soon! Thanks to everyone who was working that day. We will never forget this dinner.
Food 10/10! The decor is elegant, fancy and well maintained. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone . Personal very polite and attentive.Great experience. Definitely back again soon!
Everything was great and the service was amazing, me & my friends had so much fun, such an immersive experience. Totally recommend if you want to have a unforgettable dinner in the city!
We had lunch here twice. For a group of six, the portions were smaller compared to when we dined as a party of two, so keep that in mind. That said, the steak was excellent, and the lunch is great value for the price!
I was so thrilled to go to this restaurant, but in the end, I was disappointed. I had been here many years ago and had my best steak so far! The service was okay, but not the best for this level of restaurant. However, the food was really what made me sad. For the appetizer, we had salmon tartare. At $26, the portion was extremely small, and there werent enough croutons. When I started to eat the steak, I became disappointed because when the server cut the steak, it was medium rare, but because they added some hot bacon inside the steak, it overcooked and became well done. The only good part was the baklava. Unfortunately, I will not come back after paying $300 and leaving so disappointed and hungry. We ended up going for pizza because we were still hungry, lol
Not all options are halal. This apparently changed recently. Service was a little poor, we kept receiving drinks for other tables, also we ordered a sharing steak x 2, so it feeds 4 people, they combined all 4 steaks on 1 plate. Odds for 4 people to share from 1 plate.
Absolutely worth every penny! This restaurant is a culinary gem. The moment I took a bite of their Wagyu beef, it felt like a symphony of flavors melting in my mouth. The presentation was a work of art, making each dish a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The drinks were not just refreshing but also had a delicious twist that complemented the meal perfectly. The music choice added a fantastic ambiance, completing the overall dining experience. A must-visit for food enthusiasts!
Amber and Esmeralda really stood out during our visit to Nusret. Amber was super approachable and had this natural way of making us feel completely at ease. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly, and not just for us, but for everyone around. What really impressed me was how she managed to keep everything running seamlessly without it feeling too formal or rushed. It made the entire evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. Out of everything we’ve done in New York, this dinner stands out the most, thanks to Amber’s thoughtful presence. Huge thank you for turning a nice dinner into an amazing experience!Esmeralda, who took over after Amber, also continued equally amazing treatment, I honestly dont remember such great service!
We had the BEST time here. This was a last minute late evening reservation. We wanted steak and the Waygu and filet did not disappoint. We sat in the bar area and it was such a fun vibe!! The bartender made me the best pineapple mocktail. Great service, everyone was so friendly. We will be back.
Unforgettable Dining Experience! From the moment I walked into Nusr-Et Steakhouse in New York, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was elegant yet welcoming, setting the perfect tone for an exceptional evening.Ali went above and beyond to ensure my experience was flawless. His recommendations were spot-on, guiding me to the best dishes that exceeded my expectations. Every bite was a testament to the restaurants dedication to quality and flavor. The steak? Perfection. The sides? Divine. The desserts? A delightful way to end the meal.If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience with impeccable service and food that melts in your mouth, Nusr-Et is the place to go. Ask for Ali—he’ll make sure your evening is nothing short of extraordinary!Thank you, Nusr-Et, for an evening to remember.Thank you, Ali.
If you’re seeking an extravagant dining experience with a hefty dose of sticker shock, Nusret New York might be the place for you. However, for us, it was an evening of high expectations and overwhelming disappointment. To start, the pricing borders on absurd. A Diet Coke costs $9—and don’t expect a refill. The New York Strip, will set you back a staggering $77. Meanwhile, the burger, priced at $35, was utterly unremarkable and far from justifying its price tag.Adding to the frustration, the service was pushy. Servers seemed more focused on upselling the most expensive menu items than ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Our reservation was at 7 PM, but we weren’t seated until 7:30, leaving us lingering for half an hour with no acknowledgment or apology.By the end of the meal, we didn’t just feel overcharged—we felt insulted. For the exorbitant prices, one would at least expect exceptional service and food. Instead, Nusret left us questioning why we even bothered in the first place. Definitely not worth the hype or the cost.
Great meat taste and quality but super pricy…I wouldn’t visit if was given the option to choose but because of my family so here I am :)You can get burger for $35Wogyu meat patty is also for $45Other orders are super expensive…DO NOT SIT CLOSE TO MAIN DOOR FOR EVERY TIME THE DOOR IS OPEN YOU WILL GET FROZEN
What else can be said about this fabulous environment! This is our second time here and they never disappoint… They’ll definitely be a third fourth and fifth time…. This place has so much personality. Oh, forgot to mention the food always on and the extra attention to service along with the individualized attention, I need to be able to give six dollars not five.
Very nice atmosphere and décor is amazing. I did not try the food I only had drinks and they were very good craft made cocktails. The reason for the low rating is because their prices are ridiculous. For a basic Cape Cod of vodka and cranberry juice you will pay $30 with tip and tax. We can get this anywhere else for 10.If you like bring a Pretender or Show off, then this is the place for you.
The food was amazing , I love the meat sushi especially. The waiter was very attentive. Overall my experience was great!
Midtown Manhattan. Not so far away from Radio City Hall. Excellent food and excellent service. You should definitely try Baklava with Ice Cream
Absolutely delicious food. Service is amazing. Special thanks to our server Ali. Who took our dinner to the different level. Highly recommend for any type of occasion. Beautiful ambience. Great service. Definitely our favorite place to please the appetite
The food was delicious. I salmon tartare and fillet mignon with mushrooms and mashed potato. I loved the mushroom and the fillet was cooked with perfection, also the cheesecake was really good even though I’m not the biggest fan of it. Just the service that took too long. Overall I’ll come back.
Not worth it! I don’t mind paying a high price if the food and service are amazing but this is not the case. As starter we had the beef carpaccio, for main course the nusret special for two and sweet corn, 2 glasses of wine and for dessert the baklava. The service was fine but nothing special, the food is good but not incredibly delicious…My expectations were high and I wouldn’t go back because to me is not worth what we paid.
Highly recommended steakhouse. The food and service are excellent, especially the Wagyū steaks. Baklava is a must for dessert! I can recommend the steak tartare as a starter. The service is great, friendly, attentive and very professional. Saltbae wasnt there when I visited, but even so its a great dining experience. The prices are not really low; if you want to eat cheaply, you shouldnt go there; if you need to get rid of your money, you can go for the gold versions of many dishes.
We had a great dining experience, Esref and Tahir were amazing in their service and hospitality. We honored to have a Turkish restaurant in the center of Newyork.Salads, meat and desert was delicious, in this quality the price was fair not overprice. Will definitely come again.
10 stars, food and service. I was served by Yusuf, best server ever. Very friendly with nice conversations. The atmosphere of the outdoor seating is 5/5 very warm and well designed. We arrived before our reservation time and still got seated right away. The food took about 35 mins to leave the kitchen, which is average for steaks. The best part is the food! We got the Amor and the Istanbuli steak. BEST STEAK IN HISTORY!! Very mellow and not chewable at all. Almost zero fats in the Istanbuli steak and the Amor was made on charcoals best flavor i have ever tasted. The food is top notch, nothing else is like it. I have really enjoyed my experience at this location. The service is 5/5, very organized, some servers change the plates after every course, new silverware each time too. Other servers only are responsible for serving the food. And others for taking orders. They keep the table clean at all times, which is amazing. They literally have a drink’s guy that is only responsible for liquor. The blended wine i had was a top notch very delicious. They cut the meat in front of your eyes and splash the salt on it in a very dramatic way. We also had the Baklava, very fresh, does not taste frozen or defrosted. The tea however is AUTHENTIC TURKISH TEA, just like the one you get in Istanbul.I recommend this place at all times. The full Turkish experience you get is just amazing!! You won’t be disappointed. I also recommend Yusuf as a server, he is very fast, friendly, and caring for his costumers. Very very friendly staff.
Outstanding food and a lovely vibe in the restaurant. Prices are high but we were prepared for that. The operation is far from smooth, something that you would expect from a restaurant with such hype surrounding it. We had a reservation for 7:30pm and were only seated at 8pm. While waiting at the bar for our table I had to ask for my coat to be checked (something that I would expect to be initiated by the staff). While waiting for our starter to be served our main suddenly arrived. After drawing the attention of our waiter they took the main away and then brought the starter shortly afterwards. I think that a restaurant that has a main course for two that costs 1000 dollars (we ordered one that was only 350) could do better.
The service at Nusret is impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every aspect of your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. And of course, the iconic salt-sprinkling ritual performed by Chef himself adds an extra touch of excitement to the meal, making it an experience to remember.
Went there on a date.Restaurant was very nice with great music but practically empty. We had the lunch menu, the waiter didn’t seem to appreciate our choice. It really seemed he wanted us to order from the menu.Throughout our lunch, he was looking at us while talking to with his colleagues.Within the lunch menu we ordered a salad and the wagyu burger. The salad was good, the burger okay, but it didn’t seem like wagyu (having cooked Wagyu my self several times), for the desert they stopped serving the cheesecake so we ordered the ice cream (was okay). When I ordered the bill, the waiter had already included the tips in the bill. Was surprised.Overall experience 2 stars.
The service is impeccable, the food is delectable, and the ambiance is amazing. I absolutely love this place. I had their burger for lunch one afternoon. One of the best burgers Ive ever had. It was a pretty decent size, could have been for lunch or dinner! Its definitely worth the hype and a must-see when in town!
Amazing experience with delicious food!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner which included the famous Tomahawk steak & the baklava dessert!!! Definitely coming back!!Special mention to Esref…an amazing server!!!
After all the worldwide hype of the exquisite butcher and meat artist, Nusret Gökçe, I can assure you that it all lived up to its expectations.I had reserved a table for 8 about a month in advance. I did have somewhat of a hard time calling in as their reservation line was busy constantly but at the moment they were working on it, Open Table now accepts online reservations which is also convenient. My party and I drove down 3.5 hrs to arrive to the beautiful Manhattan location. We had reservations for 2 PM and arrived about 20 minutes early but were gladly taken in. As we strolled through the restaurant, gazing at all the guests and decor, the meat fridges and kitchen were worth stopping to take a look at. Surely enough, the man himself, Mr. Gökçe was in the kitchen grilling steaks in his normal attire. My family and I are Turkish so my mom hollered his name and said hello. Nusret turned around, welcomed us and exchanged a few words in Turkish which was awesome to begin with. A person in our party was in a wheelchair and the staff were very accomodating to her by swapping chairs for comfort and did not rush us. FYI, there is a ramp around the corner outside that brings you down to ground level where the entrance is located. We all sat down and began looking at the menus, I had a few things in mind prior to arriving. Our waiter Brian was nice and came to our table quite fast taking beverage orders. We all had sparkling water to drink and some, Coca Cola. Of course the prices for the beverages are steep at $9 for Voss Sparkling/Still and $7 for a bottle of Mexican Coke, but tap water is now being offered for those who dont feel like paying for a drink. One issue was that the bill is not divisible into separate checks for each group in our party as we brought up the question when we were first seated. Next we were greeted by a tall Turkish gentleman who works closely with Salt Bae and he gave us a rundown of what menu items he suggests, etc. We all placed our orders and were excited for the food to arrive. Meanwhile, Nusret was going table to table doing his ionic performance that I could not get enough of even after the fact that Ive been watching it online for a year. Another waiter came by our table with a cart to make steak tartare that one of our guests ordered. I tasted some and was pretty impressed, it being my first time trying raw beef. Our steaks arrived to the table alongside Salt Bae with his black gloves. He began cutting and people were filming at my table and around us. We were able to interact more with him as we can speak the language and we had some laughs. I was wearing a shirt with a picture of him doing his signature move and he loved it. After he salted my Ottoman Steak, he swiftly grabbed a piece and gradually fed it to me with his knife. That moment was surreal and great in and of itself. The meat was on point and delicious, melting in your mouth. I also tried from the Istanbul Steak, Saslik, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and french fries. The portion sizes on the sides were pretty small but they were cooked perfectly. After our meal we ordered the baklava as well as Turkish coffee and tea. A waiter came over with the tray of baklava and a plate of ice cream. He did some tricks for presentation which wasnt really necessary but pretty cool. He layered the ice cream on the baklava and cut it up. First off, my family and I have tasted many kinds of baklava and know how it should taste. This was by far the best I have ever eaten. It was authentic, buttery, creamy, and not overpoweringly sweet. Simply perfect. Its delivered fresh and handmade from Turkey frequently to the restaurant. We washed it down with the complimentary coffee and tea. The coffee comes with a piece of lokum Turkish Delight which was also tasty. After we were done, I went and found Nusret, thanked him, got his autograph, and took a picture with him on our way out.The experience I had created so many memories that will last forever. The food now has its own special place on my list of best eats.
Experience was amazing! Very professional stuff, food was very good, drinks also. Bartender Viktoria did amazing job serving us. Recommendation to everyone.
Very great service 💯Meat was delicious and also sushi rolls 😻And desert baclava soFresh ✅
Booked a table for 2 before going to the theatre, as soon as we sat down the waiting staff were there waiting for an order. They were clearing plates and glasses before we had finished and it felt as though we were being rushed to finish our meal.Food was OK but not the best steak (CAW Argentine Spiral Cut steak was the best I have had)Cheesecake was burnt on the base and the ice cream had literally no flavour. Overall a poor experience from a supposed high end restaurant. Staff were blunt and had no interactions, not worth the hype of Salt Bae…..dont be fooled!
The portion sizes are super small and the steak was not cooked evenly. The sides were decent.
Good grill restaurant .nice seating, good service.salad and starters were delicious.the meat was good but i have tasted better in my home city and in Turkey.
My twin sister and I enjoyed a beautiful evening filled with superb customer service from hostess to the waiters. The Nusr-et experience was explained. The ambiance was memorable. The food selection including sides were enough for a party of three. The owner happened to be there and greeted each of his guests when the delicious steak arrived. Perfected it with his signature salt-bae sprinkle and delectable slicing of the steak. Thank you Nusr-Et NYC for a memorable dinner experience and topped it off by going out of your day in a celebratory birthday. Cheers! We will be back! Love the Twins and Mom! Mauh!
Nicest crew ever everyone one of them was very nice and friendly made us feel welcome including saltbae himself.About food the amor for two we order it just melted in our mouth so tender perfect medium well ever. Sautéed mushroom went so well with it. This was our 2nd time if the food quality is same will go back again.
Chef to chef, i visited the place in a trip but its so much overated. Not bad but the price made me laught so much. Its just to show off on Instagram.
Loved the food and the quality of the meat was phenomenal
One of the worst service in NYC. From a pleasant meal, after 45 minutes waiting the starters, then they announced that the machine is out of order. Food seems soo fresh. I let you imagine......
5 STAR DINING! We tried the theater menu at Nusr-Et, and it was such incredible value for money – we were blown away! Every single dish was mouthwatering; I wish I could eat here all the time. Our server was fantastic – friendly, knowledgeable, and professional – so much so that we let the general manager know just how amazing the service was. The atmosphere was also phenomenal, making it the place to visit in NYC. The dining theatrics added an extra level of entertainment, and I’ll definitely be back as soon as possible. I tried Nusr-Et in London a while back, but NYC’s location is ten times better!
From the minute we walked in, fresh from a two hour jfk customs marathon, we were made to feel special. My 12 year olds dream of eating here was made a reality and the food was actually lived up to the hype! Claudio was great, made the experience all the brighter. Thanks guys!
Delicious lunch for only $39. Good atmosphere and service
The meat was really delicious! The steak we chose was cooked right in front of us! The service super fast! Our waiter Yusuf provided an exceptional service! He was super friendly, fast on service and provided great recommendations regarding the food selections! We would def come back!Enjoyed the food and the experience!
My local spot in paris would do better steak. Service great tho
Everytime, I celebrate the special occasions in here. Because of the perfect steak. After tasting the steak here, I cant go to any other steak restaurant.💓
The restaurant is stunning and the tomahawk steak is to-die-for. Their specialty cocktails are innovative and delicious w great care taken by the mixologist in making them.
Tasty food and good service.
The experience was excellent , the food the service , the shows throughout the the serving of the food was delightful. This was an amazing experience! You will be having a unique experience!Thank you all for being so attentive 🔥
TDLR: Great, but you will feel ripped off. TRUST NO ONE.Delicious, delicious meats - all the steaks were so juicy and with that kick of salt, pretty much flawless. I especially liked the lokum. And the pistachio baklava is as perfect as the reviews claim, so its a MUST. The theatrics is also great. However, really disappointed by the costs. We as a table of 8 chose their recommended menu which is all based on sharing plates, did the math in our head and thought that was a good way to try a variety of the meats. Little did we know that without our prompting they would increase the portions of the most, most expensive cut, beyond what we could even eat, so we ended up paying $277 per head - FAR more than if we got our own dishes.A shame because i would have otherwise raved about this place and recommended to everyone - but now I just feel used.
The Dj tonight was amazing!!!!! He nailed it!!The drinks were perfect and the cheesecake was heaven!
Love the energy of this place, service and presentation is top level. Food is good but honestly you pay alot extra for the experience. Good times for sure.
Five stars all around. Absolutely amazing food, the ambiance was perfect and the service, outstanding. Highly recommend it
Had a great meal at Nusret, as a tourist I was looking for good food which I had a lot of trouble with on vacation in America. The waiter happened to be from the same district where my roots originally come from.
Best steak 🥩 in the town! The service was perfect, friendly staff ( my two toddlers loved their burger). The cheesecake and Baklava were just perfect. I totally recommendTry getting there between 12 and 5 they have good and cheaper menus for that timeframe.
The food was amazing really good. We had the burgers tested so delicious we love the atmosphere the beautiful decor love the whole experience
High service charge on top of the price is not worth the visit.
If you do bookings here. Pls be on time. I was there 30 mins early and had to wait 2 hours for my table.
Steak and appetizers is delish!!! Pricy but definitely worth it. Service is simply marvelous!!! We would definitely come back again and try to visit the Dubai and Turkey locations. Our friends are raving about Turkey location!!!
Its the best halal steak Ive had in New York! The way they have fun playing around with cutting the steak does add uniqueness to the experience! Would suggest getting the Nusret Special steak platter if youre in a group. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the wagyu steak called Amor, they served was a bit dry.
Over priced and seriously wont like to go their again service came low.... Ive tasted better stakes in Texas
Amazing atmosphere as soon as you step in into the restaurant . Meat was cooked to perfection, & the service was awesome and very friendly . Thank you very much for this food experience !
I thought it was only show but I have to say everything is delicious, high quality meat. Extremely expensive, but I ate really well. The baklava dessert is a must there.
I was lucky to be in NY on the restaurant week, so my friend and I got the Lunch Special menu, which was $39 per person. The place is very charming with sophisticated decor. The staff was good but not excellent. Our waiter Hasan wasnt clear enough about some information about that THE GRATUITY WAS INCLUDED so I ended up giving extra tip for him which after calling a very responsive and efficient manager, Claudia, she effectively fix everything, she was so competent.Other than that small issue, the whole experience was fabulous.Food was PHENOMENAL.I ordered the meat sushi, which melted in my mouth, YOU MUST TRY.My friend got a salad. Then we both got mashed potatoes with NY sirloin and filet mignon. For dessert, we had San Sebastian cheesecake and baklava, both fantastic. Super recommend to everyone. If youre going to the MOMA, you wont regret including this to your plans.
We flew from San Francisco to New York for 4 days vacation we stay at Sheraton hotel Times Square so we can close to nusret steak house. One of the reason I was in New York for vacation just so we can go to Nusr-Et steakhouse I fortunately he wasn’t there. I just found out today that Nusret flying to New York this morning which is April 25th Wednesday same time I was heading to airport to fly back to San Francisco:((( Basically we miss nusret by couple hours but any way I was there last night with my wife we really enjoyed server from Ukraine help us out I forgot her name. She was so nice she explained to me everything before we order anything because I was there first time. Service and food overall was great. The beff sushi was awesome. I ordered istanbul steak it was great and my wife ordered lokum and also some side order. We had baklava and of course Turkish coffee. Price was reasonable for that kind of service and food. I’m sure you can go to different steakhouse and spent half the price but not getting same service do:))) don’t forget sometimes you pay extra just because getting really good service and great steak.I hear nusret opening another location in Los Angeles which is not to far from us. We hoping see nusret in Los angles location. Hopefully one of these day he open up one in San Francisco.
Part from my tomahawk a little under cooked from what i asked for the food was actually really nice! The service was top notch too! Obviously its expensive but nice to do for a special occasion
First of all I would like to say who ever put 1 or 2 star on this place they don’t know quality food and service . This is my first time going into this restaurant right of the bat vibe was wonderful and the service forget about it one of a kind . I must say I was treated like a king I would recommend this place to everyone awesome place for a date or just a chill spot !!! Salt bae I compliment you on building something great !!!!
Nice dimly lit Decor with a huge bar in the front . Live dj playing the latest hits and mixes. The outdoor seating is also quite cosy. The food was Delicious! Mouth watering and tender chunks of meat. So tender that they fall of the bone and melt in ur mouth . However it’s quite expensive. I would probably not go there for a while .
I really dont understand the poor reviews for this place. I came here a few months ago and I found the service and food to be great. I wasnt rushed to order my drinks or food. I really enjoyed the little entertainment of having my steak salted and cut for me. I absolutely loved the Onion Flower. I couldnt finish it with my meal, so I had it wrapped up. I must say, that onion tasted great cold. I will definitely come back here again....Dont read into all the negative reviews. This beautiful restaurant is worth checking out!!!
I decided to visit this restaurant due the fact of its reputation. The ambience was great with detailed & modern decor. I decided to order one of their steak recommendations medium rare which is my favorite. The time had arrived and I can see the food coming from the kitchen which was exciting. Unfortunately, once the food arrived it was not what I was expecting - the steak did not come medium rare, it was not under the temperature, and the side dishes were cold. I was truly disappointed since I been looking forward to go to this restaurant with my friend. Lastly, this restaurant is not worth the price tag however the service was the only highlight of my visit. I would not pay another visit to this location.
Loved the atmosphere. We were in town for business and not dressed for fine dining however everyone was super nice and the food was amazing. Some things are pricy but was worth the experience. My 2 brothers and I loved it!
Ashraf has given us exceptional customer service. We had a wonderful experience. Thanks
Atmosphere and staff were great here!! We came early right when they opened for the day so the place was pretty empty. The music was awesome - Arabic or Turkish music? We had the lunch special burger, with drink and dessert which was amazing. I also got the Nusret special salad which was delicious. The fries were okay, nothing special tbh. The dessert was entertainment - he made the baklava + goat milk ice cream infront of us, playing out a bunch of antics like swinging the ice cream around and feeding it directly into our mouths. Fun place, fun vibe, good food. 4/5 cause saltbae wasnt there even though we tried to make a reservation when he was, and they charge $9 for water without telling you :/
Nusrt is such an amazing businessman and host. He made us feel welcome and the food is unbelievable. Best steak of our lives. Well worth the price. The entire staff was welcoming of our young children too and kept playing with them.
Upon first appearance, I was taken aback. After further observation, I began to inhale the full ambiance of a Turkish styled dining experience from the meat room/freezer.My waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and escorted over to the meat case for further investigation of my selections. After further review, I knew exactly what to select! The steak came with a full performance with THE SHARPEST knives Ive ever seen. Thinly slice in full saltbae performance sprinkled in salt. In the negative, just overly concerned about the salt and spices being exposed for extended periods of time without changing prior to the next guest. There were also paper napkins set up before 6p and that too disturb me. I wouldve also loved to see lamb chops as a selection. I got the tomahawk, mashed potatoes and oysters as an appetizer with a nice red wine.
Brilliant steak and burger.Meat so tender. You can find steak from $70 to $1300 - wrapped in 24k gold.Servers very polite and salt bae gesture was so cool. The Himalayan salt lights and dark themed area dimmed by Himalayan salt light were very nice.I’d only say the glass fridge with all raw meat shown isn’t good fit for such high end place . It’s better it’s moved somewhere in kitchen and use space for more seating area.
The chef slapped me because I said the food was good and than he spit on my mash potatoes and then called me a n word.
I have been to a restaurant in Downtown Miami twice. I enjoyed it so much that I had to go again, this time in New York Manhattan. The atmosphere in the place, the amazing service you get, the meat at a very high level. *I work very hard to enjoy life and also a good restaurant, worth every dollar for me
Exceptional 💪🏽 I met the chef 🧑🍳,was to our table and be super friendly, yummy 😋 meat 🥩 exelent service 100% recomendable.
Took my wife here for her birthday and the staff went above and beyond. The food was super good but service was even better. I highly recommend it for a special occasion
Love this place!I recently had the pleasure of dining at NYCs Nusret Steakhouse during a vacation with my dearest friends, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with the utmost respect and care, setting the tone for what would be an unforgettable evening. The service was impeccable—every detail was attended to with such professionalism and warmth. The tall gentleman who served our table was exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome and valued throughout the entire evening. His attentiveness and expertise truly elevated our dining experience. As for the food—simply incredible. Every bite was a testament to the quality and skill that Nusret is renowned for. The steaks were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and presented beautifully. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the top-tier quality and service.I have to address the negative remarks some people make about this place—they couldnt be more wrong. Its clear that Nusret runs one of the best steakhouses in the world, and anyone who says otherwise is likely just jealous of his success.Nusret is, without a doubt, the number one steakhouse. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Appreciated!
This place is hot trash. This is NYC, there are MUCH better steakhouses in the neighborhood.
The burger was ok wouldn’t order it again I guess. However they really have an amazing steak even though it is expensive but it is so worth it. To try once in your life :DThe service is amazing you feel welcomed from the moment you step through the door!Overall great experience!
Weve been in one of the Istanbul ones and they preferred the service and everything there even the menu was different from Istanbul.Overall, very good place to have a meal with the family and friends.
Amazing experience Outstanding steak !! Service is top notch great place Try it you will be amazed
This place is just over-hyped. Food is fine, but not like a 5-star/$$$$ restaurant quality that you would expect. Staff was very friendly. Food was definitely overpriced.
A bit over priced for my taste, but the experience worth it. The staff is really kind and friendly, the bar tenders are quite a show to see and the meet is first class. Definitely something to experience. P.S. yup, they serve a $1k tomahawk covered in gold, hehe.
Very tender steaks, overall great food! Service was alright, the location is nice though, very close to 5th Avenue!!
My favorite ! Steak is something else is the best I ever got.Get the medium it feels so soft and yummy
Food was great and the presentation was amazing. We made a reservation at PM arrived 15 min early, asked to wait by the bar, the we get seated at 8:07. We were lucky as the Salt Bae was there. Do your math before you go as it is really expensive place. We were 4 people ( w adult and 2 kids) get tomahawk steak, Istanbul steak, 1 order sushi, fries, burger, 2baklava, nursed salad, the bill was 651$ ( expected) you can find the menu eat yelp. Amazing food, great service.
Best salmon Ive ever had, it melts like quality butter in your mouth. The dessert was not as good as in the Turkey restaurant I visited; it felt less fresh and had fewer ice cream. Was a bit odd to have to pay for the still water, but felt compensated by the delicious free chai. Loved that they have Efes beer and Raki 👌✨
Came here for my wifes birthday and she loved it!!! Great staff, amazing ambience, and of course food is to die for.
What an amazing lunch we had at Nurse et - alt bay. The best beef carpaccio ever, and a show is another level!!!! Claudio did our experience to be the best of all times!!!! Gracias Claudio, tu eres el mejor!!!!!
Was not too sure if I wanted to come here or not because I thought it was all hype. Boy was I wrong. Truly some of the best steak I’ve had to date. Cooked fresh right in front of you and melts in your mouth. The steak fries and mashed potatoes are a necessity. Everyone should go here at least once
Amazing experience especially when they do show in your table. The food and the menu is the best.
The President & CEO of The Ten Tier Diamond Award had the opportunity to dine at New York City’s newest hot spot, Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Midtown West. Here are a few teaser photos of his dining experience from last night. Full review coming soon... stay tuned!! @tentierdiamondaward
We order Nusret special for two, meat was delicious but portion was bit small
Not bad. I liked the salmon. I didnt like that my appetizers came out with my main course.
“An experience that goes beyond taste. From the sophisticated ambiance to the impeccable service, everything at Nusr-Et exudes exclusivity. The cuts of meat are expertly prepared, melting in your mouth, and the presentation is a show in itself. Perfect for those seeking memorable moments in a restaurant that blends flavor, luxury, and style. Worth every detail!”
SALT BAE what’s not to like!!!! I was mesmerized by the ambience!!! Service could have been better but the steak was melt in mouth. What great flavors:. Not to miss if you visit NYC!!! Perfect for romantic date night❤️❤️
Food is way overpriced Im surprised this place is still in business. there are way better steakhouses in nyc.
EXCEPTIONAL experience. Haroon head of operations there did an OUTSTANDING job. It was a pleasure to dine at NUSRET!! I felt at home. From the minute I walked in the door the DJ had a dope vibe. The bartender was highly talented very personable, had a great energy about him. The service was IMPECCABLE. Our waiter, every single interaction was perfect.GO HERE FOR MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE, don’t waste your time elsewhere …
Both my company and I agreed that it was probably the best steak we had in New York. We were welcomed by wonderful service at every point from the reception to the bar and our table. It is though, quite expensive to consider it as a casual dining; e.g. their dessert costs about one entree at regular restaurants in the same city.
Claudio was very nice and provide all important information about the menu and give the support to have the best experience.
Average wait time is 30 minutes with reservation. When you enter the venue, loud music greets you just like night club. Design of the venue is nice. When it comes to food, cheapest steak (10 ounce) is 100$+plus tax. Ribs 250$+tax, tomahawk steak 275$+plus tax. If you plan on eating burger for 30$, no luck. Burger served in lunch only. Voss water is 9 bucks they dont bother to open in front of you. Steak is served on the cutting board by it self. No sides veggies, no potatoes or any other alternatives. Appetizers 30$ average. Dessert is 20$ for a slice of baklava. Not to mention they add %18 for service charge to the bill.Bottom line is 2 ordinary steaks + cutting board + fancy cut with salt + 1 water + 1 baklava + 2 complimentary turkish coffee equals for 290$. Extremely expensive and overrated. Many other steak restaurants serve better steak for much cheaper price and wide variety of sides included.
Came here for birthday celebration and lived to tell the story. Meaning I didn’t have to go home in birthday suit after the hefty bill. Sure it was an experience, but not necessarily the best steak I had. The bill came to $750 USD without Alcohol. I would not repeat. Also don’t make the mistake of bringing children here as it turns into a nightclub/lounge with obnoxious and tacky music on Saturday nights. It was my rookie mistake. I don’t blame Nusret for it.
The best steak I have ever had soo GOOOD and tasty with very good sides, good service and nice atmosphere but you need reservation
Excellent establishment. The lunch special is pretty much the only reason I come here. It also comes with baklava. Service is on point and if you’re lucky, you can catch salt bae doing his thang up here.
Hands down the best meal I’ve had in my entire life. Incredible service… you can tell everyone loves their job here, that the bosses take care of them and it is a healthy work place… Incredible attention to detail. The chef’s put their soul into the food. The Amor Wagyu for two… melt in your mouth incredible. Will remember this meal for some time…
Surprised all around! For having a gimmick to it, they manage to have fantastic food and great customer service. Food was served quick, as they operate a “turn and burn” style trying to get people in and out. The food and service were spectacular though. Even caught the man himself here on the night we came. He was very friendly and chatted and took photos.
Food is amazing 😍 and great welcome and service by Aaron! I had the pleasure to meet the owner and take pictures with him. He was very open and welcoming.
The best & [Top] restaurant I been to❗ great food, great service, & great staff. The music was good & thanks to Nusr-Et #saltbae for attending to us and making our experience great❗ I had a 10:30pm reservation and didnt get seated to 11:30pm due to how packed it was & maybe because its fashion week & hopefully it doesnt happen again. Will definitely recommend & come back here again.💲👍😎☝💎💳💰💵💸🎯💯✔🍖🍙💃🌆🌃🗽🌎
Extraordinary experience for all senses which I will never forget. When you enter the restaurant the show starts ! It is a taste of Turkish hospitality, exquisite cuisine, top service, fantastic atmospere and incredible music. Apart from juicy steaks- best I ever had , do not miss Baklava with pistacios.
I wish I could give this place negative stars - it is awful! First off, they sat us at a long picnic table... with paper napkins! This would’ve been fine at a casual dining spot for maybe 1/10th of the price but not when you think you’re going to a nice steakhouse in NYC. Once we sat down and opened the menu, I wanted to get up and leave. The prices are despicable!!! Like... absolutely unacceptable.. I don’t care how famous the owner is. $30 for a cocktail? $300 for a steak? I said ok, maybe the steak is out of this world. Too bad it wasn’t. Not much food choice either. We wanted to get appetizers but there wasn’t anything to choose from except raw meat! When our steaks finally arrived... I almost threw up. They basically brought a hot plate full of butter and “cooked” the steaks on it. Are you kidding me? I couldn’t even eat it. It was not properly cooked. The waiter offered to cook it more so he brought another hot plate of butter and soaked the meat in more butter. The meat was still not done and at this point it was just soaked in hot butter. It was disgusting, honestly. I basically just ate a bit of the mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms that we ordered on the side. They even took my $30 cocktails away TWICE prematurely while I went to the restroom. Ughh, the drink was the only thing I was looking forward to towards the end of the dinner which was almost finally over. In the end, our bill came out $1.2K for 4 people. And we left hungry! I ended up ordering takeout on our way home. Never in my life, have I had such a horrible dining experience. Especially for the price! Waste of money. Waste of time. And it was actually my birthday dinner... which made it even more upsetting that I couldn’t enjoy the food or the experience at all. Ugh, it makes me mad just thinking about what a waste this was! I can make better steak at home and I wouldn’t drown it in butter either. Gross. Also, they only have baklava for dessert! Service was mediocre at best.TLDR: DO NOT GO HERE. Do not get fooled by the salt bae character or their fancy steak cutting and salt sprinkling techniques. It is pretentious and not worth the hype or the money!
One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The baclava was also delicious. Service is attentive and efficient and the ambience is really nice.
The best meat I have ever eaten. The bill is however expensive. But you dont go there every day. So it makes the diner a nice touch that you will remember. The best meat ever.
I had my last birthday there. Didnt meet SALT Bae of course :( meat quality is very good, burgers are super juicy and well seasoned. But I kinda feel other steaks are overpriced
Decided to take my family somewhere new to celebrate and I couldn’t have picked a better spot. The service was top tier, Zamira accommodated to our bigger party and had such a wonderful smile the whole time. the steak- don’t even get me started. It was amazing. I’m a picky eater but I had no problem here as everything that was served to the table was delicious.
Excellent food, the meat just melts in your mouth. Expensive well worth going once in lifetime fun and unforgettable experience with Nusr-et.
Good steaks, bit overpriced, more drama than anything. Service can be slow. Gratuity is pre included in the bill and you also get charge for still water.
Nusr Et NY has improved so much since I’ve been here last in 2019. The meat was very tender and the cream spinach was the best I ever had. Can definitely recommend to try this place out!
It was ok. The steak was the best steak I’ve ever had . I spent $150 for one person and left still feeling hungry... expensive + small portions
I came here with my friends for a birthday dinner. The service was amazing. We even had one of the managers come to the table and cook our steak, while making small talk with us and telling us a little bit about the restaurant and how it came about. The staff is very friendly and most importantly, the food is delicious,
Excellent experience. The food was amazing. Staff was super nice!
Absolutely amazing service from start to finish. From the minute I walked in and had my coat checked in to ending it with baklava I had already made up my mind that I will be coming here again. Excellent staff. Can’t say enough about their professionalism and hospitality throughout my dinner.
April 7th, 2024. I just need to say. After I finished my excellent meal. I had a food high and craved a cigar and a Cognac. I got the preferred Cognac selection cant remember the exact name, but it was 225.00 for a glass. The best Cognac I ever had. I had an amazing food experience. Here are the pictures. By the way, I had the Meat Sushi for the appetizer and the Salmon for the Main. For the Table, we got the Tomahawk Steak medium rare, a dozen oysters, blooming onion, and crab legs oh I forgot I had a classic mojito in the beginning. ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU GO. ITS WORTH EVERY EXPENSIVE DOLLAR. BON APPETIT.
Presentation was awesome… not a big fan of all the NaCl on my steak, but boy was it perfectly cooked. Crazy expensive, but again So Amazing!
This place deserves 6 stars!! Not only did we love the music and overall atmosphere at this place, but the food was amazing! We had the spaghetti (not pasta, just the name for the presentation of delicious thinly sliced striploin), the lokum (juicy, melts in your mouth fillet) and then the #saltbae ribeye (that came with the famous cutting and salt throwing presentation). We also liked our sides (spinach and asparagus). The service was impeccable - friendly but professional, our server knew the menu very well and knew what to recommend. Very impressed overall. And yes,it’s very expensive but very much worth it.
The food at this restaurant is undeniably delicious, with flavors that truly impress. However, the service delays were a major letdown. Despite the restaurant being empty, it took a frustratingly long 1.5 hours for our food to be served. The culinary creations were exquisite, showcasing the talent of the chefs. Each dish was a flavorful masterpiece, beautifully presented. However, the excessive wait time for the food tarnished the overall experience.Efficient management of resources and timely service should be a priority for any restaurant, especially during peak hours. Addressing these delays is crucial to ensure that customers can fully enjoy the incredible flavors without the unnecessary frustration of prolonged waiting times. In conclusion, the food at this restaurant is fantastic, but the service delays need improvement. The management should focus on reducing wait times, ensuring a more satisfying dining experience for their customers.
The steak sushi was good, the rest was okay. The service was not up to standard
I get it that it’s an internet sensation and all that, but you really shouldn’t go unless you’ve got that much money to spare (it was pretty expensive...)First red flag: I had a table booked and confirmed. I went in 10 minutes earlier, and was told to wait by the bar because the restaurant was full. Fine. Even though I had a reservation, I was prepared to accept that the restaurant was too busy. I waited for more than half an hour, people came and went. I could genuinely say that people who came after me were seated first. The maitre d was reluctant to give an estimate as to how long it would take for me to be seated. A guy came over later and started bringing the first people he saw into the restaurant. He then brought me in, I walked down this corridor and found that pretty much the whole room was empty.
Love this place! Thanks to the waiter I had for making this place memorable.
Really nice and friendly staff. Food was delicious. Loved the fun atmosphere.
I’ve been to this location for my first time on valentine’s Day with my boyfriend we both order two tomahawk steaks it was so delicious I went home dreaming about this restaurant. So my man brought me back here for my birthday and a few time after the best steak house in New York I don’t want to go anywhere else !!!
Salt bae was super duper cool!!! Stake is good but a bit pricey! We ordered 2 steaks, salad, tea and baklava and spent about 700$ with tips!
Drej was the best! Such a great night with family.
Really great customer service by our server Claudio. The food was delicious, once you try it you will want to come back every month to try this delightful food. I recommend you to try this place (if you haven’t already) I love the great vibes! You will thank me later. Will be back soon!
Had an unforgettable dining experience at this gem of a restaurant with my husband. Right from the start, the service was impeccable, thanks to Eshefs attentive and friendly approach. The management, led by Mira, ensures everything runs smoothly, making us feel truly special. Every dish was a delight to the senses, and the ambiance added to the magic of our evening. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience!
Amazing restaurant. Service was incredible and the food was absolutely delicious. Would recommend and is a must whether you live in the city or are visiting. Baklava is to die for and steak was cooked perfectly. Will be back!!
Best meat I ever Had, service was amazing definitely the best dinner I could ever ask !!!!!
Gorgeous place, exelente food and service, the meats and desserts are magnificent!!! But the personal is something splendid, we cant find this kind of service anywhere nowdays. We will return everytime we visit NY. Thank you Ali for your amazing assistance !❤️
The best steak I had in my life. Unbelievable service and hospitality. Great team of people with energy. My first time going to Turkish restaurant and couldn’t be more satisfied. It was unfortunate Nusret himself wasn’t here but Rahmi was just as professional and friendly.
Food, service , show ! Good Friday night dinner . Love the music too !!
Grotesquely overpriced (eg $30 Manhattan w/out tip small martini glass? Do I get a back massage with that$), now extrapolate that over the menu. Service excellent w chic and energetic vibe and bra people. But the $ vs value equation just didn’t add up.
The best restaurant, very delicious food and desserts
Great atmosphere, delicious food, very good service , great experience
5 star for food. Missing 1 star because no Salt Bae. Went to Dubai before, Salt Bae not available as well. Had to put our own salt.
Upon arrival we were going to be seated, however another hostess said to wait at the bar and find a table for us even though we did have a 8:30 reservation. We were seated maybe 10 minutes later. They had a DJ as it was Friday night at the front of the resto. If you wanted to talk it was a bit hard unless you were in the back. Ladies restroom was upstairs and mens were downstairs. Unfortunately one of the ladies rooms was clogged up, so there was a line. We came for resto week, which had a lot of options. But you have to order separate sides if it did not indicate it came with anything, which is common for steakhouses. My husband said the only thing missing was bread while waiting for our caesar salads. He said if they had this it would be great! I got a non-alcoholic yuzu drink since i’m pregnant, which tasted great. We both had steaks i got the NY 10 oz rib and my hubby got the Wagyu, which was cooked perfect! Seasoning is on point! Mine came with mashed and we ordered the mushrooms, which were bomb!!! For dessert he got the ice cream and i got the baklava, which was good. Overall good experience!
Phenomenal service. My husband and I came here while being on vacation. We highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Lunch special is from 12-5:30. Beautiful atmosphere and Immaculate services. Thank you for your beautiful services. We will be back !!!
Food was phenomenal. Only to be out done by the service and presentation. Everyone from the hostess to the bartender to the waitstaff were on their fame and very attentive. Highly recommend.
Not a huge fan of celebrity chief, but I thought to give it a try.Went there with family and we ordered the tomahawk steak and burger with few side dishes.Food is delicious, but it comes with heavy price. Also, salt bee wasnt there that day
The place has a great vibe and the dj is a really nice touch. The food is delicious and I really enjoyed the table service and subtle shows they provide when they bring over the food. You can tell that the staff really care about customer service.
Amazing cuts of Beef (Tomahawk cut bone-in Rib Eye is the cut that put Nusr-Et on the Steakhouse map.Service was disappointing, seemed uninspired, considering the total final bill amountCharging for coffee after a 4 person meal, four appys and four entrées plus two desserts is unnecessary but not entirely unexpected at a Name establishment. Like Gordon Ramseys of London or Vijs in Vancouver. One is paying slightly more for the Chefs brand, know that beforehand.
Great experience.. professional staff and very fresh meat and appetizers highly recommended steakhouse that I would definitely come back to
Went for my 30th birthday. Waitor and sommelier Totally ignored me and focussed 100% on my husband to the point of forgetting that I had also ordered a dish along with my husband, and then scrambling to find room on the table to accommodate it and having to remove the wood board and just put it all onto my very small plate at once. Steak was kinda ok but have had better at home in the UK for far less money. Manager apologised profusely when I told her and did remove my dish from the bill which was appreciated but then blamed the unprofessional and borderline sexist behaviour on cultural differences of staff which to me is bizarre. Considering the hype and prices, not worth it at all.
My dining experience at Nusret Steakhouse was notably exceptional, especially regarding their halal meat selections. The restaurant offers a variety of halal-certified meats like Lokum, Şaşlık, and Sırt, ensuring adherence to Islamic dietary laws through proper slaughtering methods and certification. These meats are not just halal-compliant but also incredibly savory and well-prepared. For those who prefer other meat options, its reassuring to know they are halal, although not certified. The atmosphere of the steakhouse complements the culinary experience, with an inviting ambiance that elevates the enjoyment of the meal. The exceptional taste and quality of the meats at Nusret Steakhouse make it a highly recommended destination for anyone seeking authentic and delicious halal options.
First time here really loved the vibe - DJ and music were very nice. Food very good quality. Staff was great. You pay for what you get.
Came in for restaurant week hoping for a reasonable price for the salt bae experience. They sit you down and I guess they ask you if you want sparking or still water. Order still without thinking about it cause who wants to pay for sparking water.Look at a picture of my receipt the next day, they charged me 10 dollars for still water. I thought that maybe if I do restaurant week then maybe I could try the place without getting charges their absolutely scam prices they are famous for. Sad to say I got the authentic salt bae experience where I got scammed for 10 dollars for free water anyways.Mind you, I have been dining out in nyc for many years, and I don’t remember the last time I paid for water which is why I didn’t check the receipt before walking out. Usually the question is sparking / bottled or still / tap and the understanding is always that if you say sparking or still they bring you tap for free. Diners beware and check your receipt before walking out.
The most amazing experience! Highly recommend! 5 stars on food, ambiance and service!
The best restaurant in new york city , excelent service , the best steak houseClaudio the best server
Everything’s great! Food service excellent! I love this place
Always great. Don’t forget to bring your wallet but it’s worth it if you like steak :)Shot this picture at the bar with my iPhone 14
Amber made our night at Nusret an absolute highlight of our time in New York. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel so welcome and at home. She’s warm, attentive, and just seemed to know exactly what we needed without us even asking. It’s clear she runs the place with heart—everything flowed perfectly, and her personal touch took the experience to another level. My girlfriend and I agree, this was hands down the best experience we’ve had in the city so far. Amber, you really made our night special—thank you!
The whole experience was absolutely amazing. From the cocktail bar to the apetizers (the beef sushi are INCREDIBLE), entrees made of beef full of flavor and cook to perfection, and shows along the way that are so entertaining and 200% worth the price, and the dessert, I will recommend this place until the day I die.You have to go and visit, for the quality, the show and the experience.
Service is excellent , food is ok, but it not worth $$$$
Very expensive. In terms of value, there are restaurants that give the same level of meat, for much less money
Lets be honest here...its a show. But the food is delicious and the service is impeccable. Just know youre going home with a lighter wallet.
Left hungry! The food is really not good and extremely expensive
OVERRATED. Went there with a party of 40 people. The staff was unpleasant to deal with. The amount of food was very slim and the wine quality was poor. For the price we paid this place was not worth it at all.
One of the best experiences I ever had! Zamira helped me make sure that my family had a great time at this restaurant. Love the staff hospitality and mostImportant the quality food!
Not worth the hype or $$$. I make better tasting steak at home. Burger King has a better tasting burger. Spending $400 for dinner and leaving hungry should be a criminal offense. Complete rip off!Good service and ambience, that’s it.
The food was excellent, services was perfect, the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was very nice, we ordered nusret special and it was very special the meat very tender and very delicious, overall this restaurant worth it FIVE STARS
Beautiful restaurant with extra ordinary service. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. All beef dishes are halal, confirmed by our Muslim server. Thank you for making my daughters birthday memorable.
Very bad service non sense of courtesyThey have hired low service waiters with no trainingMy Turkish coffee took longer than my steakWhen you mandate service fee , waiters have zero motivation to give good service to get good tipNot against tipping but expect a good service when spending $100 ppI am clear on the reason why people are not coming back
On 5/28/2023 I went with a few friends to this establishment for my birthday celebration. I had a reservation at 10:30pm. We arrived at 10:25pm as soon as we got there, they told us that the kitchen was going to close in 5 minutes. We were force to order on a rush and we were not able to experience the food, drinks and the ambiance like we were supposed to. We had to leave the restaurant within an hour of arriving. It is unfair that they be making reservations 5 minutes before the kitchen closes. I had high expectations for this restaurant but this experience was extremely disappointing, besides that they never checkout my reservation on open table I realized when I got an email from open table ask why I couldnt show up on my reservation witch h I had to reply with an explanation of the situation.
Amazing service and food! The steak was made right in front of us and it was perfection. We will definitely be back and bring a larger group.
The food, ambience and service were outstanding! Claudio took such amazing care of us throughout the dinner. Cannot wait to return!
Service was great. Everyone was very friendly. Ordered the mac & cheese, herb fries, shrimp sushi roll, arugula and avocado salad and the saltbae tomahawk. Food was good but I was expecting great. Meat tasted good but Ive had better for less money. We ordered the tomahawk medium but it came out medium rare. After the sliced it, the brought out a hot cast iron plate and cooked it a little longer for us.
We really enjoyed my lunch today with my wife at Nusret NY ,, I was there before 30 min of my booking , but they accept me in. Wonderful food and amazing service , the chef himself serve us with the ripe .. we really love it ..
Unreal. My first time here and I can’t find the words to describe how wonderful this place is. The vibe, the food, the music, the staff. Everything. UNREAL. Thank you to everyone who made this dinner nothing but extraordinary &extravagant! 😜😝
Had an 8:30 res, seated us half an hour late.Waiters were good. We ordered a Caesar salad to start, which was more than enough to share for 3 people, and for our main ordered the tomahawk cooked medium with a side of mushrooms, and a bottle of wine. I would say the whole experience overall was ok, but not worth the price paid. Meat was underdone to my liking, and a bit fatty/stringy, I gave the better pieces to my family members who enjoyed the food and the experience, especially the dry ice show. I would not go back a second time.
We celebrated our friend’s birthday here and we had an outstanding service. Food and atmosphere are amazing! Highly recommended!
I recently visited this restaurant for my boyfriend’s birthday and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. I had a very negative experience with one of the unprofessional and rude waiter (named Hamit) Not only did he refuse to acknowledge me as a female, but he also showed a complete disregard for basic customer service by asking my boyfriend about my order instead of speaking to me directly, which was incredibly disrespectful. Their lack of basic communication skills made for an unpleasant experience. The place also was overrated and the food did not meet my expectations at all. The restaurant was way too crowded (staff and waiters was roaming around purposeless )and the music was blaring so loud that we couldnt even hear each other. Overall, it was a terrible experience especially for specific events, I would not recommend this restaurant!
Tried the bone in Tomahawk steak didnt disappoint.
Thought was a IP stunt before going, but, honestly one of the best steaks I had in life... It was SO GOOD
