Chic atmosphere and tasty tapas plus great happy hour. The service was Stellar. Jackie behind the bar was kind and interesting. This place is a chelsea staple and there’s several other successful locations around town. If you see a bar veloce, definitely give it a whirl. Solid wine list too

Bartender seemed annoyed that he had to do his job. Difficult to get his attention and get service even when he wasnt busy. I got the vibe I wasnt the right kind of person to be here and it was a chore to have to give me basic service.I wont refuse to go here again, but Id certainly look for other options first.

Very nice atmosphere in the back patio with plants and dim lighting, and not too noisy. It was easy to get a seat on the patio on Wednesday night.They have a somewhat, but still existent, non-alcoholic drink menu. I had their Sonic Youth non-alcoholic mocktail, and it was not sweet at all (which I liked) and had an interesting flavor. Okay maybe I wish it was just slightly sweet.Loved the Lavender Tonic. Its slightly sweet.The Rosemarina is not my favorite. Too bitter / sour. Okay to sip but I prefer the Lavender Tonic.

Nice vibes, the tighter space gives a cozy, relaxing atmosphere, and the lighting adds. Good selection of wines, nice happy hour.

I think it is my favorite wine bar now. You cant beat every day happy hour with $7 for a glass in Manhattan! After HH, we ordered a bottle of Etna Rosso (a wonderful dry acidic mineral red wine). So good. Id say, the food is ok, but the green olives were really delicious!

I am tough when giving reviews but this bar is great. Service quality, food, ambience.

Excellent local wine bar. The happy hour is fantastic, a bottle of red for about $30. Food options are limited but delicious, the burrata and prosciutto plate is really good and the Nutella piadina is incredible

Great place to have a nice drink and chat. We stopped by to end the night and had a great time speaking with Dara, our bartender. She makes the best drinks and has me hooked on that lavender drink. Thank you, Dara, for being friendly and funny to go along with your mixologist skills.

STOLE MY CREDIT CARD INFO. We were seated at a table around 6pm. We ordered, then a few mins later the waiter came back and asked for my credit card and took it in the back for the duration of our drinks. When we were ready to leave, he came back with my card and the scanner thing to pay? I thought he took my card to pay in the back? Anyway, the next morning I wake up to $4,000+ fraudulent charges on my credit card.

Amazing house wine selection in addition to be hundreds available. This location has a nice outdoor patio. Food is good though there is a limited menu. Come for the wine.

A quaint neighborhood gem. Lovely garden. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable for long periods.

Great atmosphere and the staff are very nice. The wine selection is not the best for those who prefer bold reds or citrusy whites. And if you scan the wine list, Vivino doesnt give more than 3 wines rating 4+ out of 5. Overpriced for the quality of wine, but again, the atmosphere is nice and location is great. Good for those who dont know much about wine or prefer light reds.

We had a great time here . Nice to have a quiet spot that my friends and I could catch up . I loved the rose lemonade and my friends loved the $7 wine happy hour until 7 pm . Unassuming bar with a calm demeanor really made for a nice Sunday afternoon .

Professional staff, nice snacks, good selection of wines. They’re pushing prices higher and higher though. Hard to find reasonable glasses/value. Dial those prices down a little, guys! Also, can get a bit loud at times.

The most delicious Italian wines you won’t find anywhere else. Great Italian street bites to compliment.

This is how a wine bar/quiet meetingplace for drinks should be. Not crowded, not loud; ambient lighting, with elegant staff, and a good selection. Few places on Saturdays do happy hours, but Veloce does a prosecco happy hour from 5-7 Saturdays—a HUGE plus.

Like the other Veloce location I visited, this one excels among the NYC wine bars in the selection of great wines at very reasonable price, the experienced bartenders and a bar that is great for having a conversation. The $$$$ designation is incorrect. The deals on great wines are fantastic. And dont forget the small appetizers that complement the wines perfectly

Fantastic happy hour specials of rose and prosecco served by a professional bow-tied gentleman who deftly manages an entire bar by himself. Great bar bites, great lighting, fantastic service. Highly recommended.

The sun burst through the clouds away and brightened up the afternoon in spite of the snowy stormy weather that occurred most of the morning. I finally was able to return to Veloce after work while the sun is still out. The bartender was nice, the assistant was also professional and courteous. GREAT wine selection and love its food and the Nutella Pannini is simply delicious!

Great happy hour prices & friendly service

Way smaller and crowded than the location on 2nd Avenue, Bar Veloce is a nice enough place to go after work for their happy hour pricing but if youre not seated, youll find yourself very uncomfortable, being elbowed by everyone squeezing by. I cant imagine how warm it will be in the summer but I have to admit, I dont want to find out.

Solid wine selection, decent prices, terrific prosecco deal for happy hour. Friendly service. Can be quite popular and packed after work.

Happy hour has $7 prosecco and a very decent one. Cheese plate was excellent, no skimping. Wait staff were great.

Came here after work to try out their happy hour options. The wine on special was fairly priced and hit the spot. Glad to see the food options were great as well. Nice place to grab some wine and have a conversation with a few friends. They have a wide selection besides happy hour and a knowledgeable waitstaff.

Cozy wine bar, simple but clean. Had a couple of appetizers that did not disappoint! A no-hassle place to have a nice time with friends.

This used to be a nice wine bar but the new staff Jan 2016 are terrible. All new and no clue about wine. Food is mediocre at best. Paninis like you would get at a deli

Great panini (I like the Classico and Soprasatta), salads, wine and cocktails. Lively vibe on weekends, but not to the point of being too loud. We love going here.

Rude and non-authentic “Italian” food. The bruschetta (which first of all, the waiter couldn’t pronounce correctly) was a piece thin cracker with what I can only assume was cream cheese on top.

Really nice venue with fun and attentive services. Good neighborhood vibe of local patrons; food and beverage above average for this type of bar!

I made a reservation in the back garden at the Chelsea location for my birthday and my group of 12 guests had a wonderful time! We had excellent service from Tommy, delicious food and wine, all in a covid safe environment. They have space heaters even! They did not charge an extra fee for bringing our own cake and they were great at handling all the many dietary restrictions in my group! Highly recommend.

I cannot give this place enough stars. Wonderful wine, delightful small fare, and a very classy place. I love it.

Meet a friend early on a Friday for drinks. We got a charcuterie board - the amount of food was for 1 person and the cheese choices (2) are not all that great - but of course the price was high. Very disappointed. The atmosphere is one that makes for a cool hip picture but is very uncomfortable. The staff was great - friendly and attentive.

I guess this place is okay of you like wine and being surrounded by middle aged business people and Girls Night Outs.

$45 for 2 glasses of wine with tip. Only Italian wines by the glass. Sauv Blanc was way too sweet.

Ordering app does work, if you close your browser it deletes it from their screen but you’ve been charged already on your card. A draft beer took 15 minutes to get. They provide you a small 3”x3” two ply napkin and takes another 10min items to get another. Good comes out cold, flat bread pizza is wet, like they dipped the thing in water for 3 min after “cooking” it. Eat anywhere but here at the airport.

This is one of many but you know what you are getting. The wine selection is not immense but if decent selection for casual tasting. If you are in the mood for beer they have a smaller selection but not bad either (not tapped). They also have mixed drinks that they do make to proper ratios. The ambience is somewhat quiet and relaxed where you will find some folks off by themselves looking to not be disturbed while having their beverage of choice.

Love this small, intimate watering hole. Great wines and snacks. Now there is a lovely outdoor coffee garden during the day as well. Good for up to 4-6 people if you have a group to get a table and have some wine/snacks/conversation. Great for pre-dinner or post dinner glass of wine or bubbly. They have spirits too. Does get a little loud when its packed, but nice mature vibe.

Place is small yet sophisticated. Its very Italian. You will not find Australian or Californian or even French wine here. No, just some of the best imported Italian wines, cheeses, olives and aged meats. The help was knowledgeable and knew how to tell me which wine was most like a Shiraz....also...I had a panini, it was great. I ate more olives in one sitting than I have in the last 3 years combined. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place, great vibe and vine selection. The basement is an unbelievable location for your parties or meetings. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you are planning a big event and you are looking for a convenient location in Midtown West Manhattan, ask for their basement; a cava style place with an amazing atmosphere in there.

Small space with a low ceiling makes for an extremely loud obnoxious place for a first date. I had trouble hearing my friend across the table and had to move to the back. Wine service was good, but ambiance left a lot to be desired.

I visited on a Wednesday evening, getting there about 6:00. It was easy to find seats, but the place filled up rapidly. Even full, however, it was easy to carry on a conversation unlike many places.The selection is great and it easy to find a favorite type of wine.

This is the worst wine bar I’ve ever been too in my entire life. We got a corked wine with actual cork in it. We said politely to the waiter that the wine was corked and she then tried to fish out the cork right in front of us. This wine is was $20.Shame on this place.

Crowded and loud. That means this place is popular, right? Yes, I guess. If youre in your 20s and you want to wait 45 minutes to squeeze into a seat at the bar or a table so you can scream at your date or friends over the din while pretending that youre sophisticated because youre drinking Italian wine, then sure. Not a fan.

This was a wonderful bar experience we bumped into after a long and delightful walk in the city. We were looking for a drink and appetizers before seeing Hamilton, and scouted Veloce on the corner. Joe is a fantastic bartender who engaged my wife and I, former New Yorkers, in splendid conversation and reminiscence. Not to mention the drinks, Manhattan, Gin Negroni, and a terrific Prosecco, were excellent. We have earmarked this bar and hope to return in the future.

Can get pretty loud at prime time (duh, what place doesnt - though the long, thin shape of the place accentuates noise). But the bar service was great and the happy hour food was really tasty and even creative - a pleasant surprise.

I ended up having couple of drink and It has been mentioned that there is a happy hour until 7. So I was assumed my self its half price. So orders a class of rose and got another class as well. The bar tender didnt even mention that rose isnt a happy hour drink. Finally I ended up paying $12 for half class of rose. I didnt say anything and paid fully and left that place. I would never goto this place again.

Good ambience. Not the most expensive in our neighborhood. Would not recommend anything with your seller in it. Sadly I ordered two different things on two different visits with Nutella in it because my wife is a Nutella freak. Both times she was disappointed.

Fantastic wine selection and they offer pretty decent wines for their HH. There is a cute garden in the back which is a quiet place to getaway from the chaos of the city but it’s self serve in the garden. HH can get a bit hectic but it’s a great place for some decent wine.

This place has a terrible bar tender.Walked in with a few coworkers (6) and he refused to serve us because we did not seem to fit the clientele since we still had our backpacks on.I would not recommend this place due to the crappy service and terrible attitude from the staff.

Love me a cozy NYC wine bar. Found a seat relatively easy on a Saturday around 7pm. Charcuterie meat and cheese “piatto veloce” is perfect for 2 and the panini pressed bread is sooo good. 🍷🧀🍖

Intimidating place for a tourist, but the welcome is warm. A large selection of wines to taste.
