We stopped here one morning during our trip in NYC to grab a quick bite and coffee to get our day started. It was close to our hotel so very convenient. It was pretty busy while we were there early in the morning. For breakfast, I got the chai bowl and my husband got avocado toast. Both of our breakfast dishes were good, not great. Its a very cute clean modern space. I would describe this place as a great spot to pop in if youre looking for something casual to get the job done. I wouldnt add this to a must-try list.
The food was ok, but our experience with the service was really bad.+ the avocado toast is ok, but IMO poached eggs go way better than the boiled eggs (they only serve the latter). The hummus with extra smoked salmon was good- they waiter took 5 minutes to write down our order and he forgot 1 out the 3 dishes. We had to ask 3 times for napkins at the table- the coffee is average. They offer alternative milk which is nice, but the cappuccino lacks in flavor
Super tasty! The place have a great atmosphere and the food is the best. Special recognition to Miriam, who recommended some items and for her attentions.
Really nice place for breakfast. Good quality food and service. Came here three times in three days. Would come back again.
Lovely Café with nice seating possibilities outside. We came here every morning for breakfast while staying in New York. They have very tasty pastries and a variety of breakfast options, I recommend the granola parfait and the chia bowl. Their coffee is very good and I love their Matchalicious smoothie.
Space with a very pleasant atmosphere. I ordered a Chai Latte, but I didnt think it was fantastic, there was little spice flavor. The croissant with almonds was good and had a gila filling. The chocolate cookie was delicious. Freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious, but it cost $9.5.
Had to wait over 20min it’s for two Brie and fig sandwiches. Ordered a side of Prosciutto with it and then another one, and the portions were not the same (one fuller than the other). The bread was stale. Staff wasn’t at all friendly. It’s a pity because the place looks really nice and the atmosphere is not bad. Payed over $50 for the sandwiches, the extra prosciutto, two orange juices and one coffee. Completely not worth it. Won’t be coming back here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Unfortunately I had to update my review after a 2nd visit during the weekend.Ordered a cappuccino, a avocado toast, a cortado and almond croissant. The coffee (both cappuccino and cortado) were disappointing. The crosaint felt of law quality, and the Avocado toast was really nothing to write home about.Previous time I was there the coffee was much better.
The food was delicious, with great coffee and smoothies.I loved the avocado toast, and the chia bowl was perfect for starting our Sunday in the city. The servers were very busy but still did a great job. Everything was right and fast, we were looking for a healthy brunch and we found everything here.We ended up getting a couple of ham and cheese croissants to go.
Very nice place and food!!food is fresh and your oran juice is amazing!!Its fine for gluten free food and contamination
Great food and wonderful services here! Dominic is really helpful!
We had an amazing experience at Tartinery Café - Bar on Park Ave, especially thanks to our server, Asia. This was our first time in New York, and she made us feel incredibly welcome with her warm and attentive service. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect, but what really made our visit memorable was the exceptional hospitality from Asia. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
I live in the neighborhood and I have been to this cafe often because of its great location. However every time I am there I am appalled at the apathy of the service staff. They take orders and don’t bother to ensure that it is delivered to the table. Need reminders, things you specified are missed and it is difficult to even get their attention! With so many other great options including Park Avenue tavern just across the street I would give this place a skip.
This place is awesome. The food is fantastic. The service was excellent. And the coffee is the best I have in midtown. This is a great breakfast spot especially on a weekend. Enjoy
Mimi was such a lovely server and the food + ambience was great! Definitely will recommend 👌
Very good Cafe, French style bakery. Pastries are good and fresh squeezed orange juice is amazing. Very busy in the mornings.
Always a good place to go for a sit down work lunch. Good food and fast service. Sometimes the toppings are a little hard to eat politely. I have eaten here at least 5 times and it has always been good. The sit down one in Columbus Circle (they also have a take out) is also great.
Nice open atmosphere with ample seating.Food was good but service is lacking. Not very attentive or quick.
They have carrot buns in a plastic container displayed over ice cubes near the front of the store. I chose one of them ($6.53 with tax), which had a cream topping, and decided to eat it at one of their tables. I found it to be dry, hard, likely due to its coldness, and with little taste. The woman who answered my question about the bun was not fluent in English.
Definitely recommend!During our time in New York, my Mom and I had breakfast or lunch at Tartinery daily. We loved the food, the coffee was good and not to mention the fresh smoothies and the almond croissant! The team was always friendly!Sooner or later I’ll be back!
I had a very enjoyable breakfast here. I was very impressed by the kindness and excellence of Dominic, my server. He has a thorough knowledge of the menu and excellent recommendations which I followed and I am very satisfied. He made my dining experience exceptional!
Tried the smashed avocado toast without eggs and a cappuccino with oat milk. The cappuccino was good but the avocado toast was underwhelming. Lacked flavor and the toast was probably just a supermarket brand.Service was quick, we arrived just before the crowds (at 9 AM on Saturday), the ambiance is great though!
Great, unsuspecting place for happy hour! Half off drinks 4-7pm, and they’re extremely tasty, too. Would definitely recommend. I’ve had mixed experiences in the morning for coffee/chai (slow service, but it was also in their earlier days and haven’t been back in the morning for a while).Edit: have been here lots since this review and the happy hour is just so solid. I also got dinner recently — the food was great, just the prices added up very quickly.
My friend and I have been regular customers, but our today visit was a major letdown. We sat outside and ordered lunch combos. Unfortunately, my friend received the wrong soup twice. It was surprising that such a simple mistake could happen.Despite the initial error, we decided to give the server a 20% tip. To our disbelief, we later realized that the server, a tall man who worked outside, had already included a tip in the total amount and then asked us for an additional tip and we gave tips twice! He didnt provide us with any printed receipts. This behavior unacceptable and dishonest. If you choose to visit here, I strongly recommend carefully reviewing your receipt before paying.
It’s a nice location and place looks great. Service is also not bad but the food to my humble opinion was not great. I ordered the first item on the menu which is the smashed avocado toast. Anything that is first on the menu needs to be good. But the smashed avocado was refrigerated cold, not well seasoned, and just had some pickled radish and cilantro on it on a toast. Nothing special. I could make this at home.I was bummed because it’s first on the menu and I’ve had better avocado toast at home. Also the croquet madame was just bread with some meat and tons of cheese on it. Nothing special. Restaurants like these should be elevating any dish to where I’m compelled to ask “what’s in this dish that makes it soooo good?” That I can’t make at home.I think this place would be great and has lots of POTENTIAL but the menu and cooking has to be elevated for such a nice location.
Promising space at the heart of grand central where they have lunch combos at 12 USD that comes with a toast and soup. However, service is really not so good. They got our orders wrong and they refused to have our friend eat with us as he brings his own food. It couldve been a better experience with a little bit more heart and care to customers.
Lovely cafe in midtown Manhattan. Stopped here after a run, and it had perfect healthy and affordable breakfast options.
Great location! Service was quick and friendly, coffee was great. Juice options are interesting especially with the pick your own juice mix. Boris delivered excellent service! Will definitely be back.
Loved my ham and cheese croissant and Bories is the sweetest, nicest waiter
First time enjoying happy hour at this lovely cafe. Victoria and Rasheed made my experience even better as they were very welcoming and checked my table often to see if I needed anything. I highly recommend this gem 💎
I got a Matcha Latte and its unfortunately the worst Ive ever had. Im sure the rest of their menu looks better, but I can only speak on what I tried.
We visited the Tartinery Cafe at 5:30pm today and we were very happy with our experience.First of all, it was one of the few cafes that was even open in the evening and it’s not that expensive. Furthermore, we just ordered drinks and no food but all the drinks we had (green matchalicous, cappuccino, peppermint tea) were delicious. The waiter was really friendly and we loved the atmosphere and the interior design of the cafe. We‘ll definitely visit again!!
Delicious food, great location, friendly staff. Recommended!
Really great option for breakfast around grand central…so good! and very kind service :)
I Love the warm welcome I receive at the Tartinery on Park Avenue at 40th St. I consider myself a regular at this establishment now! Fahim is a standout server, & sets the tone of warmth & attentiveness for the rest of the staff.
This place is such a great spot for brunch! The avocado toast is amazing and refreshing! The workers are kind and welcoming, the coffee is fresh, and the building is very nice and feels open because of the big windows! I definitely recommend for a great brunch spot.
Delicious food, great ambiance.
Ask for Dominic, no better guy you want waiting for you in NYC. Happy hour is great but he’s even better than the cucumber thyme drink . Will definitely be coming back only because of Dominic. Great atmosphere and vibe
Such an adorable vibe! Not from NYC and this was the best food, drinks and service on my trip so far! I will be back before I leave! Also very affordable and clean!
Tartinery is my fave fast casual spot in Murray Hill. The tartines, soup, bowls, and salads are excellent across the board (and I’m a food snob). Plus the staff of fahim and co are so kind helpful and always on top of everything.
Dominic was fantastic. He’s recommendation was perfect and I’m definitely coming back. Truly had a lovely Friday afternoon lunch at Tartibery!
The food was absolutely delightful, and Dominik was a nice waiter.
Loved the coziness however don’t sit next to the door if you don’t wanna get cold. friendly staff, great food (very filling despite being 1 piece of toast). The coffee could’ve been better. I had the oat milk cappuccino and it tasted a bit bitter for my taste.
Visiting from the UK on holiday here. We had a delicious breakfast, which was very fresh and full of flavour. Good choice of food and drinks on the menu but I went with one of my favourites, smoked salmon on sourdough with avocado and a soft boiled egg. I had a watermelon spritzer. My girlfriend had avocado and soft boiled egg on sourdough with a cranberry spritzer. Drinks took a while to arrive which was a shame but the food was quick.
Charming café with a relaxed atmosphere, but the service could be improved. We waited 40 minutes for a simple dish of bread with spreads and a bowl of soup. Although the food tasted fine and the coffee was good, there was no follow-up from the staff to explain the delay. The café wasnt even busy. Had we known about the long wait, we might have chosen to dine elsewhere.
Never seen a more ridiculous service. We did not get cutlery or water till the end of our meal.We waiting 25 mins for a bill. 10 mins to get seating when half the rest was empty.
Loved the rice bowl. the staff and atmosphere is top tier.
Thank you very much Eli. For all of the excellent service that you provided. From helping with my tablet to make excellent coffee. Definitely a do over when Im in town . Blocks away from grand central station. Stop in a grab a bite when your in the neighborhood.
Dropped in for breakfast a couple of times during a trip to NYC. Food very tasty and good quality - portions appropriate. Fresh juices were very good.
Nice place, excellent service and delicious food!!!!! I really recommend it
Lara gave us amazing hospitality! Service was super quick, and breakfast came with a smile :)
What a charming place with yummy healthy food, Mexican cane sugar Coca-Cola, awesome coffee and wonderful service. Everything was delicious!
Awesome place. My friends and I had a great time and enjoyed some good food. Our server Dominic was great!
Food was amazing and Asia is a great server!
Tartinery is an amazing place and Dominic is the best server ever. I love the happy hour seasonal drinks and will definitely come back again!
Service was a bit slow, but the food was great, and coffee was even better. Starbucks is two leagues below.Overall, it was well worth a visit for breakfast or lunch or a healthy dinner alike.
Cute place for a stopover treat and coffee! Definitely lots of space for sit down and relaxation. Had a terrific latte there.
I have been here a couple of times. Brought friends and family too. The food is great. The ambience is awesome! But the service is unacceptable. We ordered 2 cappuccinos, along with ham and cheese sandwich and the prosciutto ricotta. The server brought us the ham and cheese sandwich before anything else. By the time the coffee was served, the sandwich was already cold. We were still waiting for our 2nd item, but it never came. We finally asked about it after seeing people who were seated after us getting their food and then the server said that the kitchen lost our order ticket. And mind you, this is the second time they have used this reasoning.I really like the atmosphere and food here but the service is so bad, its frustrating and makes me not wanna go back.
Waitress was extremely rude that we ordered 4 dishes and she could not remember! She even didn’t write. Waited 15 minutes for the coffee and 20 minutes for the food! Plus extras were missed. Absolutely annoying when waitresses are rude plus they do not apologise for it! More over coffee tasted burnt!
Great café with good food but ok coffee. Great location ! Coffee could be more flavourful and better.
Mariam was the best server ever! Lovely environment and lovely atmosphere. Food was great and a great location! Love love love.
What an Amazing experience!! This place is a true gem just a few blocks from Grand Central Station. Great atmosphere and the service is top notch. We met the Manager Anna Rosario and she wash great at guiding us along. She recommended the Creamy Burrata and it was simply OUTSTANDING. Highly recommend you stop by and enjoy. You won’t regret it!
This is a great place to go!! Mimi give us the service and she is the best!If you visit in New York you have to come !
We went almost every day here for breakfast during our trip in NYC… the best place in this area. We enjoyed the great food and the kindness of the waiters (a big thank you to Maria, really smile and professional - see you in MILAN 😜) …really recommended also during happy hour! All the best, Marco & Alberto from Milan
Not the best cafe experience I have had. We ordered food through the waiter and they completely missed one of our meals. Two plates came out fairly quickly and we waited 5 mins for the third but it didnt come. When we checked with one of the wait staff they said it was coming. The food never ended up arriving after 15 minutes and we had to leave. They didnt try and make up for it at all unfortunately. Most places would send you with a free coffee or something for an issue like that. The food, coffee and juices however was really good and the vibe was good even though it was quite busy inside
It was really good, the food was delicious and it’s really cute. The only downside is that it’s a little on the expensive side, so overall a very high rating just a tad bit expensive.
Mini is the best and the food fantastic. If you are close to 5th Av. and you look for a healthy break, definetly must try Tartinery.
Great little cafe! The waitress was super attentive and sweet, she made our experience better. Loved the chia bowl
Great experiencia for breskfast. I asked for some extra bread and it was free.Very kind waitresses.
Delicious food and great service. The place is lovely. Muchas gracias Miriam! 🥰
Good food and great prices.
Mimi was amazing, she is very kind and nice person.Food was great,I get salmon sandwich and it was very nice, thanls you very much.
I had a lunch combo and coffee. My expectations for the sandwich were a bit high, but otherwise it was good. The soup was really nice.
My husband and I sat at the bar to eat brunch before catching our train at Grand Central (just up the block) and had such a friendly and gracious server. He and I co-created a juice blend that was delicious(!), and the food was fantastic. It was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and a very convenient location. All good!
Worst experience ever, we tried to pay the bill for 15 mins and everyone says wait. But people of other races got the bill and everything pretty quick, feeling racism to me
Nice atmosphere but service was slow and the food was very mediocre for the price. My “warm rice bowl” was literally cold. The chicken was freezing 🤮 and the potatoes were stiff like they’re 2 days old.
WE LOVE MARIAM! Food was great and the environment was super nice outside. Amazing service :))
Amazing place for brunch. I do recommend it!
Our waitress Mimi was amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing, we came 2 days in a row. YUMMY and healthy !
This place in NYC was a tale of two experiences: good on Friday, frustrating on Sunday. Our first visit was great – friendly service, delicious food, and great coffee. Enticed, we returned on Sunday, only to wish we hadnt. Long waits for menus and orders were just the beginning. My coffee mug with lipstick marks was a turnoff, and the replacement wasnt much better. When my husbands order arrived incorrect, a polite request for correction was met with a dismissive attitude, bordering on rude. The confusion continued when an unordered dish appeared, and they questioned our confirmation twice, implying we were mistaken. Finally, a long wait for the bill included the unordered item. The inconsistency is stark – good on weekdays, but avoid weekends unless you want to gamble on your experience.
Delicious croissants, fresh orange juice. Lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Great location to be when in NYC.
I was in NYC for work and found this place. I quite liked the food and the options for drinks (coffee, tea, juices). I particularly enjoyed the tartin with humus, avocado and sprouts. The brioche with cheese and egg was also very good. The wifi was a plus.Unfortunately, the loudness of the music and the cranky waitress were really big put offs. Apparently you can’t ask anything to a different person. The staff also seems unhappy, or at least they were discussing something like that last week when I was there.A woman who works mornings was at the edge of being plain rude to a group that was trying to sit in an area that wasn’t ready yet, but of course the group wouldn’t know this. She also was unpleasant to two foreign women who sat at a table next to me. We even commented how cranky the waitress was. It might be a New York thing, but asking the staff to smile and look at the customers, and at least pretend to care wouldn’t be much to ask for a place that is kind of expensive and in the “service” industry. It’s a pity. I had initially really liked this restaurant but I didn’t go back after the third time because I choose peace and kindness over tasty food.
*Update: Never heard from the manager after I emailed her multiple times. She offered a refund but then totally ignored all my emails. Her response is below 👇🏼Came in on Tuesday October 17th at around 11:40am. Got a table and water service right away. And the waiter returned promptly a couple minutes later to take our order. We ordered an avocado toast for my wife, and I went for a ham and cheese croissant (to make things quick, as they are pre-made). We also ordered one orange juice. My wife got her toast 5-7 minutes later. We took pictures, waited a bit and nothing else came in. My wife started to eat. 20 minutes later she was done and still nothing for me. We had to call the waiter. Not sure if they forgot, but they brought my croissant 2 minutes after that. I ate it all, and still no orange juice. I ended up cancelling my juice and paying for my check. From what I could tell, they were not slammed, so not sure why it had to take that long. I was definitely hoping for a different experience.
Mimi was fabulous!!! Our first visit and we will definitely be back. Good & coffee 10/10
Allan is an excellent bartender! Great attentiveness to detail, kind and friendly to all guests. Will definitely be back!:)
This local cafe is a real treat: you can order breakfasts here all day long! The service is awesome, the staff will help you choose dishes. The salmon toast is just fantastic, and adding an egg – thats such a cool idea!Their roast beef sandwich on sourdough bread is simply huge! And theyll cut it into convenient pieces for easy munching.Theres always plenty of free tables here, and inside, its clean, cozy, and bright.Oh, and I also liked the music – it creates an atmosphere like youre the star of a movie.
Great Healthy food options. New guy from Venezuela was charming and he took care of us very well. All the best to him.
Great place in the center of the food court, lower level, Grand Central Station. Food is very fresh. I had the egg and cheese brioche. It was excellent. They have table service if you need to sit and eat.
Great place to eat and take time out…First class service from our waiter Mimi.. as were rest of staff.Recommend the chicken sales tartines..
Super lovely healthy breakfast! Service was excellent and quick!
Love it, delicious food, amazing service
Mimi our waiter was fabulous! She took great care of us. 10/10
Came as a big group. Lovely food and very friendly service from Mimi. Recommend!
Excellent place for breakfast, with good service (Pablo is amazing) and good quality food, especially the natural juices and toasts. A wider offer of food with some more options for breakfast would be fine. But noisy ambience
Miriam was our server, she was super sweet and very efficient. Food and beverages were very good and very pretty.
Great watermelon spritz and our server Dominic was great!! Super enthusiastic
The coffee is soooo good and ask for dominic as your server he was so fun and sweet
Very friendly staff.Good food and quick service!
Lunch Combo with full bowl of soup and “petite” Tartine the perfect portion and quite satisfying for a late lunch.
Delicious breakfast and brunch foodAnd the cappuccino was great, too.
Great place for a weekend lunch, Dominic always gives us great recs.
We had a wonderful meal here. My girlfriend loves to eat healthy and they had several healthy options, as well as, diverse offering of food, cafe and even mimosas for me.If you are at the Park Ave location, definitely ask for Mimi she provides excellent Customer Service. We highly recommend Tartinery!
Had brunch. Despite being just myself, after being sat at a 2 person table, and noticing there were 2-person were parties waiting, I offered to sit at the bar instead, and the server said I didnt have to, entirely up to me. That was somewhat unexpected -- I had assumed they would take that offer so they could sit the next customers behind me. Maybe not a big deal but maybe an indication of good service.Food was good, so no further comment there.
Ambiance was amazing for brunch. Lots of natural sunlight. Dishes are on the smaller end and staff was not as attentive as I would prefer. Ordered the butternut squash soup and chicken salad sandwich with the “make your own” smoothie. Service was slightly delayed but did receive 10% off because the smoothie took awhile to arrive.
We arrived a few minutes before they opened, and the staff weren’t done setting up but they welcomed us in right on the dot! They were quick to set up my table, hand out the menu’s and give cold water to everyone. We were surprised with how quick the service was, and the food was just amazing.Fresh Avocado’s - BEAUTIFUL Smoked Salmon - Perfectly Cooked Eggs - Amazing Sourdough.Just take a look at the pictures to see what i’m talking about.Tartinery Cafe is a 10/10 and a must try near Grand Central Station!
Just a simple ham and cheese croissant and iced matcha. I was pleased and my guess with me also.
Very good taste
Great brunch half off drinks on the weekends. Bories did an incredible job serving us.
The omelette and coffee were great and service was lovely - from Mariam, especially!
Mimi was super awesome with her service. She deserve a raise ❤️
Fresh food and excellent service.
Excellent (and reasonable) breakfast, convenient location. Freshly squeezed OJ! Looks like it would be a great lunch stop as well.
Your croissants are not good and not worth my $5, get those croissants better, taste is dreadful
Fantastic place for breakfast 4 days in a row! All was excellent. Mimi and the rest of the crew were great with us every morning, and we were a group of 7! Totally recommendable.
All was really good, Dominic his a hilarious guy and give us a excellent service!!
Dominic was our server and he was top notch! I highly recommend!!
Eli is amazing and he is always so professional and polite and knowledgeable when we come. Asset to the team.
A nice calm spot for breakfast a little off the beaten track. More locals than tourists, food is good. Service was excellent and the tables, service areas and toilets were clean, fresh, airy and new.Bill was $25 for an apple and ginger drink, chia bowl and a pot of morning tea. Food quality was good.
The food was delicious, very appetizing, we ordered 2 things. The shop is easy to get to.
Lovely place, good atmosphere, nice food and most of all super service, thank you Boris for great recommendations & welcoming
Excellent food. Good service. Dominic was great.
Tartinery is a hidden gem, pleasantly surprised on how delicious the food is and with the level of service with a smile. A cozy atmosphere that you cant go wrong with any item on the menu or the friendly staff.
Served by Mimi, an absolute pleasure ❤️ Thank you ☺️
While the decor is merely pleasant, the service leaves much to be desired. Our server skipped basic greetings and solely focused on taking orders. Initially ordering coffee was followed by standing up for milk, calling the server for the order, and requesting silverware that never arrived. When we asked for a coffee refill, another waiter was abrupt, treating it as an inconvenience. The food is passable for a cafeteria, but compared to other dining experiences, requesting a coffee refill is usually embraced, even with drip coffee. I was not drinking an Americano or Cappuccino. Unless their coffee is from SEY coffee, a different approach may be needed. Despite its aspirations, this place falls short of being a restaurant, evident in servers handling water glasses unhygienically when clearing tables. Even Murray Dinner has a better service and more amazing food than this establishment.
Fairy good breakfast and coffee. However, not worth nearly 30 minutes of wait when theres barely a line. If you need something fast, consider another option.
Busy, lively, loud, and a bit disorganized. But wonderful food!
Dominic was fabulous !!! Thanks for the great welcoming service ! Loved the happy hour watermelon spritz!!!
The most amazing breakfast I ate in New York ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dominic was an excellent server. Super kinda and helpful!
Being generous/fair giving two star as food and atmosphere is good and did not have an issue before being here 2-3 times in last year or so. Last week, I was having business breakfast and after an hour dining, we were asked to give up our seat and go to bar as ..they really needed the seats. Myself and guest were black and there was a white man next us who had not paid for his food just sitting ordering nothing and they asked us who paid to eat to leave our seat? The man felt bad seeing what was going on and offered to go to the bar as his guest had not arrived yet. I talked to manager and he said he would talk to waiters but never apologized. Not quick to call people racist but this was crazy. Never coming back here again!
Amazing food, great taste and unique menu. Maria was great at helping us and suggesting tasty food
A nice coffee shop alternative to the usual I find across the country! A great cappuccino, chia bowl and service. Cool decor and vibe.
Great location but that’s it.No french flair, poor service and lethargic waiters getting orders wrong
Lovely food and cappuccinos. Enjoyed breakfast here twice. Mariam was a treat! She recommended beaching out and trying new dishes since were here visiting from Toronto. Salmon/egg toast and granola were great!
Great food, drinks, and service.. and reasonably priced
We loved the food! Everything was excellent!
Sat down at 12:30 thinking we were going to have a nice lunch. 40 minutes later, our food is nowhere to be seen. We watched rotations of other patrons come and go. We were ultimately so upset and could not wait any longer and just left. Total wait time was 50 minutes.
Dominic provided excellent service and the cheese board was fantastic.
Very nice place, delicious food and smoothies. My avocado toast was freshly executed, and bread was perfectly fine. Busy but nice atmosphere, high ceiling, and glass windows to watch the high pedestrian activity in this location closed to Grand Central Station.
The environment is great to go and take a coffee watching the NY movement. The food comes in a good time, wasn’t fraught. The Croque Madame by your self was okay. No option with poche egg or hollandaise sauce, but I understand different places makes food in different ways.🍽️ Food: 3/5📍Environment: 5/5💁♂️ Reception: 5/5✨Experience: 4/5
Excellent food and atmosphere. The staff is amazing!
I used to love tartinery but today I found a FLY in my salad. I can never eat there again….
Mimi is a great host ! Coffee is awesome
Food was delicious and fast. Nice place to take a little break from shopping. Mimi was a lovely server hope to see her again.
Great food and ambiance
Great croissants, good coffee and beautiful place!
Not a fan of this place simply because of how limited the menu is and the portions were quite small. You basically get one piece of larger toast with toppings of your choice. Not my cup of tea but the quality of the food was good and service was excellent.
Lovely with easy open air atmosphere and incredibly delicious brunch and juices. Would highly recommend! Worth the wait!
Beautiful place with great food and amazing people working here 😍
We just stopped in to Tartinery as we wandered NYC looking for a warm and welcoming place to relax with a coffee, and this place is wonderful! The coffee was wonderful, as were our croissants, but best of all was our service. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. We will be back during our visit here to NYC.
Best hot chocolate in NYC if its breakfast and you are hungry come here
Great food and juices but not great service (they transmitted their anxiousness to the clients). Also, minimum tip was 20%, truly not what I would’ve given.
Victoria was super nice and helpful taking our order and making sure we got the right soup! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Great service and friendly staff, food was delivered quickly and fresh to the table. The taste was delicious as well, definitely would return for brunch and for their happy hour
I finally made it for a quick lunch. Perfect place for a delicious lunch. Great ambiance if youre stopping in casually during the work week or on the weekend.
Fifty feet from Starbucks & I love this place. The earl grey chai latte is better than Starbucks.
Cute place. Not too noisy compared to other bars in the area
Nice place to grab a coffee. Quiet so I can talk!
Love their strawberry tartine! The location is great. Will be back here.
Dominique’s service was impeccable! Lovely place
Eli our server was fantastic , friendly and charmingThank you
The worst place to order food from. My wife was in labor shorter than my wait time for my order, which was 8 hours. They need to be more organized and give you someone elses order. This place is just for people with enough time to eat small portions and overpriced food. Id instead go on a date with Jeffery Dahmer and risk my life than get smashed avocado toast at this joint.
I am very impressed with this lovely cafe. I ordered the mint tea and the kale salad with chicken and a soft boiled egg. The salad reminded me of a small ecosystem like a planetarium. It’s was in a ball with lightly shaved parmesan cheese. The salad was a cool experience.
Delicious food in a very welcoming and bright place. The experience was rounded up by a great and attentive waitress, Miriam!
Terrible service. For a simple coffee had to wait like 20min. The lady at the front desk had a terrible attitude. She was busy counting cash vs. trying to make sure the order to be promptly taken care of .
Mimi was amazing 🤩 she is take care my table , food was really goodBest place to have breakfast
Louis provided such a plea sent service at the bar!
The Park Ave location is a wonderful place for a light bite-like a toast or salad. They also serve delicious cocktails in a bright, airy environment. A nice place to visit solo. Cheers!
The coffee was the best we had the whole time in New York and the staff were amazing. The food is also so so fresh and it has a great atmosphere. I would like to thank Miriam specifically who went above and beyond serving us.
Mimi, was excellent. The food was very very hood
Dominic was a wonderful server. Very friendly.
I came in to the cafe yesterday to meet a friend for coffee. I arrived first and had a snack I didn’t finish in a brown bag. Before I even put my things down a lady in a winter coat, coming from the bathroom, came up and asked me what did I get, then what was in my bag then told me you can’t have outside food. First I thought she was a random customer and I wasn’t sure why she was asking me these questions. Second, I just walked in, she didn’t know what was in the bag, I didn’t open on a table (I was still standing), why are you making these assumptions and potentially taking a chance of upsetting the customer, especially if you don’t know what the intentions are. That is opposite of good customer service. And then she was standing behind the counter, in her jacket, looking to see if I’m going to take what I had in the bag out. Supposedly she is the manager, which is shocking when someone in that position has such poor sense of service. Never coming back there again
Dominic was absolutely amazing! Best service
One of my favorite coffee spots in NY. Not only is the coffee amazing but also the food has so much flavor to it. Mimi is also the sweetest worker! Must try place!
Amazing service, top food and I had a good Latte.. definitely will be back.
Has to be one of the worse atmospheres in the city. Hard wood chairs and benches with no cushions, overly loud music and overly bright lighting which is a well documented practice some lower quality establishments use to move people in and out, e.g., turnover. Also, the toast sandwich was burnt on the ends - topped off with their Bread card reader which defaults to 25% tip, what a scam. Two stars is being generous.
Went there for breakfast, good food and good coffee
Mariam was so sweet and attentive to our group! The food was superb but the best thing was the service that Mariam gave. A relaxing environment with the best breakfast!
We stopped by after we placed our order on Ritual app. We didn’t realize that it’s waitress service only at the tables. Thankfully it was off hours and they let us sit at one of the table. My friend liked her avocado sandwich. I only had a latte and it was just OK. I wouldn’t come back for coffee but I’ll try their food next time.
I ate here twice on my recent visit to the city. I had the Avacado Toast and Chia Bowl along with an oatmilk mocah late. The late was among the best I’ve ever had, and everything else was really good as well. Prices were a little high, but I didn’t find them outrageous, especially considering it’s right in the heart of the city. Service on both visits was terrific!
Dominick was amazing, fantastic service. He was so polite and listened intently to our allergies. We will be coming back for the great happy hour and service.
We had a great breakfast at Tartinery, the machiatto was particularly good. When you go ask for Lara she is the coolest waiter!
Amazing food and staff! Great brunch spot. Butternut squash soup is def a fave. Clean place to dine. Convenient location and price.
Dominic was very friendly!! Have good recommendation.
Food was great! And service was outstanding!
Fabulous place! Miriam was serving us and she was just lovely! First person who understood my weird accent in NYC 😘
Favorite breakfast place food quality was so good
We ask breakfast here each morning of our stay in nyc. Such a great find. Fresh lov we my food.
The food is good. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress Mimi was especially kind. Recommended
Domonique was a great waiter and verry funny.
Had a great time. Best happy hour in midtown. Shout out to Dominic and the rest of the staff for the service!
Lovely, clean, staff are amazing. Get the club 17 it was delicious. Thanks guys
A nice place for a respite throughout your day. I’ve cone for pre- and post-meeting prep. And today is I took time alone at the counter to recap between gallery visits
We had a wonderful meal here - Dominic provided top tier service and had great recommendations. We will definitely be back!
The service is bad, real bad bad. Get there in the morning and half of the place is empty. We first waited 15 minutes for a waiter to show up and another 30 minutes for the food to serve. 3 ordered drinks were never severed. 5 people stayed inside the bar and only 1/2 people in the store serving. 40% of the table is empty and the waiter said they were too busy. No water refill and no service at all. The manager reimbursed 1 drink after 20minutes yet to find other drinks not served as well. When leaving the manager just looked at us and said nothing at all. Stayed there for more than 1 hour while most of the time was just waiting for nothing. Not sure it is an attitude or ability problem.
We had such an amazing time at Tartinery, the food and drinks were so delicious and the happy hour is such a great deal we will definitely be coming back. In particular our server Dominic were so helpful and made our time at Tartinery even more special.
Great addition to the area. I had a great avocado toast with eggs and their in house made sauce. well plated and tasty - Service was great which is rare in the area. The soace is filled with light and the decor is beautiful with a long concrete marble bar. I will come back!
Nice find on Park Ave. The food is very good as are the morning drinks. The place is spacious so it works for larger groups. They do not take cash. The service can be spotty in the morning when it gets busy, but if you are not in a rush, it is very enjoyable.
The café is super cute and the food was great! I ate a tartine with hummus and avocado and it was delicious!! Our server Mimi was so sweet and kind to us and made us enjoy our stay even more!! If we visit NYC again we will come back for sure!!!
